this True Value is filing for bankruptcy the hardware store
True Value Hardware just filed for bankruptcy. The good news
is it sounds like spirit Halloween is expanding. Hi, I'm
Kenny Webster, Thanks for joining us. Christian Collins will be
(00:41):
my guest at the bottom of the hour here. He
is the creator of the Texas Youth Summit. In fact,
if you were at the Texas Youth Summit, boy, what
has it been a month now? Or it is weeks ago?
We all gathered together up in the Woodlands with Matt Gates,
Donald Trump Junior, Kimberly Gilfoyle, Lauren Bobert, yours truly, and
a handful of other people. Cindy Siegel was there Harris
(01:02):
County GOP chair chairwoman, if you will, and Cindy and
I had an idea at the time to host an
event here in the Houston area to help support some
of the local judicial candidates down ballot races. Very important
stuff for Harris County and we'd love to have you
at the event. It's this week. It's actually Thursday. If
(01:24):
you're not doing anything Thursday from five to seven pm,
come join us. We are going to be gathering together
at Wicklow Heights. Wicklow Heights is in the Heights, not
shockingly ten twenty seven West nineteenth Street. Come hang out
with me and a whole bunch of local candidates. You
could be a lot of That's a bar for the record,
(01:45):
very cool bar in the Heights, laid back attitude, craft
beer cocktails. I think they have food. Pretty sure, there's
a happy hour, that kind of thing. Anyway, it's going
to be fun. It'll be a good time, guys. We'd
love to have you. It's a garden patio bar style.
If you never in before, I think I think it
might even be dog friendly. It's a beer garden, you know.
So that's going on this Thursday night, five to seven pm.
(02:09):
We hope you guys could be there for that and
that'll be a lot of fun. Now, before we get
to any of the conversation with Christian, I want to
talk to you a little bit. We're just real quick
about some of the polling data today. Breitbart dot Com
reporting on the latest poll. Trump is leading in Michigan,
Annie is leading in Wisconsin. Now there is no path
(02:30):
to victory. If Kamala can't get Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania,
she loses. If she didn't have those states, it looks
like Trump's gonna win. Now. It can't be that easy, right, No,
it really can't. You're not something's coming, guys. We're halfway
through October. We've already had a handful of very peculiar
October surprises. Month ain't over yet, kiddos. It was four
(02:53):
years ago right now, we were all asking why the
Hunter Biden laptop was being reported as Russian disinformation when
we all knew it was not. You knew it, I
knew it. Everybody knew it. Yeah, Hunter Biden's laptop was real.
Everybody knows that. Now. That's why Joe Biden, it's one
of the reasons why Joe Biden is no longer a
political candidate. He'll never run for office again, or at
(03:14):
least not till twenty twenty eight, when he'll probably be
the DNC front runner. But in the meantime, The New
York Times did lie to you about that. They lied
to you, and they are lying to you again. Yesterday
on this radio program, we talked about how Kamala Harris
has been accused of plagiarism over and over again in
her book that she wrote. She wrote a law book
back in two thousand and I wish she co wrote
(03:35):
it right. There's a report today from our friends at
Breitbart about the far left New York Times. They actually
disgraced themselves earlier this week by clearing Kamala Harris of
the obvious and blatant plagiarism. Word for word, there's clearly
payd plagiar The expert that The New York Times used
to exonerate Kamala Harris now admits he did not do
(03:58):
a full analysis. Let me just recap this to make
sure we all understand what's going on here. Kamala Harris
has been accused of plagiarism. We've got the receipts. This
journalist named Christopher Rufo came out and published him, walked
through the gave all the information about what took place,
what was plagiarized, where she stole it from the New
York Times publishes a report saying she didn't plagiarize. The
(04:22):
book's called Smart on Crime, by the way, ironically a
very stupid book published in two thousand and nine. It's
nonfiction co authored by one Joan O. C. Hamilton, but
it was written, they claim, while Harris was the District
Attorney of San Francisco. Now with the help of doctor
Stephen Weber an internationally famous plagiarism hunter Christopher Rufo, the
(04:46):
journalists provided one jaw dropping example after another of Kamalo
directly copying and pasting paragraph after paragraph into her book
of words that were written by other people. She did
this without attribution. She did this with a quotation marks.
In other words, she not only stole text from other sources,
but she stole ideas, She stole reporting, she stole scholarship.
(05:08):
That is, textbook example of plagiarism right there. Harris copied
virtually an entire Wikipedia article into her book without providing
any quotation or attribution to who really wrote it. She
fabricated a source reference, she invented non existent page numbers.
It's just blatant plagiarism. Caught red handed, there's no defending this. Nevertheless,
(05:33):
as Breitbart dot Com today reports these bombshells. We see
how the corporate media will almost certainly either ignore this
scandal or attempt to wrist flick and fact check it
away as a republican fabricated controversy within just a few hours.
That is precisely what The New York Times did. Listen
(05:55):
to this headline. Times headline reads, conservative activists seizes on
messages from Kamala's book. Even more predictable, the Times article
lied to its readers to predict Kamala, to protect Kamala.
Listen to this quote. This is from the article quote.
The passages called into question by mister Ruffo, that's the journalist,
(06:17):
involve about five hundred words and an approximately sixty five
thousand word two hundred page book. Miss Harris, the Democrat
presidential nominee, wrote the book with another author when she
was the district attorney in San Francisco. In a review
of the book, The New York Times found that none
of the passages in question took the ideas or thoughts
of another writer, which is considered the most serious form
of plagiarism. Instead, the sentences copied descriptions of programs or
(06:41):
statistical information that appear elsewhere. End quote. Okay, so that's
not exactly what happened. That's a lie, right, And then
comes this beauty. The Times enlisted its own plagiarism expert
to back its claim that this is no big deal. Quote.
Jonathan Bailey, a plagiarism consultant in New Orleans and the
publisher of Plagiarism Today, said on Monday that his initial
(07:01):
reaction to mister rufos claims was that the errors were
not serious given the size of the document. Then the
Times accused Rufo of racism the journalist that's exposing her.
Of course you're a racist if you don't like Kamala Harris.
What does any of this have to do with race? Nothing?
But now the Times lies are coming undone. The Times
claim that this guy argued that Kamala plagiarized five sections
(07:24):
involving five hundred words. That's not true. In his story
that he published the article exposing the plagiarism. There are
more than a dozen instances of vicious plagiarism. They provided
The Times with the written analysis which argues that there's
more than a dozen, which included eighteen allegations of varying
severity The Times responded by saying, we didn't do a
(07:45):
full analysis. Okay, so then you published an article saying
she didn't plagiarize, but you didn't actually bother to check
if she plagiarized. The problem for The New York Times
here is that they looked at the material provided and
concluded she's not guilty of plagiarism and you should still
(08:08):
vote for her. I gotta tell you, guys, I don't
understand why the New York Times still exists. I always
like to remind people of this when we're talking about
the New York Times. Back in the nineties, there was
a documentary published called Buried by the Times. You may
not have known this. I mean I brought it up
on the show before. For about the better part of
(08:28):
I don't know, five decades, the New York Times tried
to play down the Holocaust. They tried to make it
sound like the Holocaust wasn't a big deal. It's hard
to do imagine starting during World War Two, going right
up to the nineteen nineties, and then in the nineties
they actually admitted it. They admitted the Holocaust was real.
We just made it sound like it wasn't a big deal. Now,
why would the New York Times do that? Because they're liars.
(08:51):
There's a long tradition of lying at the New York Times,
which ironically refers to themselves as the paper of record
the happiness.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
This is Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness on KPRC nine p.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Fifty Houston. A recent study published claims processed meat like
bacon can harm men's fertility. It's important to note that
all the studies were one hundred percent funded by pigs. Hi,
welcome back, Good to have you here, everybody. Christian Collins
joins us in a little bit. But I'm just looking
(09:27):
at polling data, and it's really interesting to see how
the Democrat Party is in a tailspin right now, bending
over backwards to try to resuscitate Kamala Harris's presidential campaign.
She is suffering. It don't look good. You know, Obama
is out lecturing young black men, black men that were
volunteering for free for kamalist campaign. And Obama shows up,
(09:51):
takes a break from his you know, getting paid half
a million bucks to talk for forty minutes or whatever
absurd amount of money he gets for giving a speech.
Living in a more arth is vineyard on the ocean
while telling everybody the sea levels are rising, he knows
they're not. And then is all that's gone down? Is
all that's taken place there. He takes a break from
(10:12):
his high paying job of not working at Netflix so
he can fly to the Kamala Harris headquarters and tell
black men that are working for free that they're not
working hard enough. It didn't go over well. Black people
are not thrilled about it. You know, it's not about race, though,
it's not. They don't. Black men aren't hesitant to support
Kamala because of her skin color. No, this isn't about race.
(10:35):
This is about gender and generation. It is about gender
and generation. Men are not welcome in the Democrat Party.
They're not, I mean not men like you and I.
Not men who watch football, or shoot guns or eat meat.
Not men who enjoy the taste of bourbon, or like
(10:56):
the sound of a loud engine, or like picking up heavyweights.
Men who like manly things are no longer allowed in
the cuckled, soy latte sipping leftist regime that is the
Democrat Party. They're just not. It's not a welcome place
for people with who share my chromosomes, and that's really
(11:22):
what this is about. Young men particularly are skewing more
conservative than ever. They're more religious than women are. Well,
how could young women be religious? They're all young, unmarried
American women. They're obsessed with one issue right now, and
that's schmish Morshen. Whereas young unmarried men are asking questions
like how do I build a fortune, how do I
(11:42):
save money? How do I start a family? Young women
are not asking that question at all. So young women
are basically what's holding up the Democrat Party, and the
one issue that they're concerned about, well, you know what
it is. The Washington Examiner today has just published a
report about Obama weaponizing race and division to drum up
(12:05):
support for Kamala. And like I said, it's not just
The Examiner gets a lot right here, but not everything,
because it's not just about race. But if Democrats didn't
have double standards, they'd have no standards at all. Such
is a logical conclusion most people should arrive at. Given
the recent comments by Barry Obama scolding black guys for
(12:28):
being hesitant to support Kamala, and again, the guys he
was scolding were working for her for free. He might
have just read pilled them. Guys out campaigning in Pittsburgh,
and Obama spoke to a group about support for her,
particularly focusing on the apparent lack of voter enthusiasm among
black men. The media has tried so hard to make
(12:52):
it look like young black men and young white men
are different, but they're not. We're all pink in the middle.
We have the same concerns, the same hopes, the same dreams.
You want to be rich, you want to be powerful,
you want to be affluent, you want to be athletic.
What most men want, what, regardless of their skin color,
is usually the same. Obama weaponized race during his speech
(13:16):
so he could drum up some support for Kamala, and
you know he doesn't like her. Listen to this quote
he says. Obama said, quote, My understanding, based on reports
I'm getting from campaigns and communities, is that we have
not yet seen the same kind of energy and turnout
in all quarters of our neighborhoods and communities as we
saw when I was running. You gotta love that, in
(13:39):
an effort to make to encourage people to like Kamala,
he's insulting her, and he's complimenting himself. He's putting her
down and he's propping himself up. Isn't that funny? Guys?
Of course, Obama had more enthusiasm than Kamala Harris did.
Nobody voted for her in a primary, nobody wanted to go,
(14:00):
nobody wanted her months before she became the candidate. Obama said, Now,
I also want to say that seems to be more
pronounced with the brothers. And the primary reason Obama thinks
black men should be voting for Kamala because of Harris's
race and ethnicity, of course, and the fact that she
supposedly grew up like they did and understands the struggles
(14:21):
and pain and joy that comes from those experiences. Obama said, quote,
on the one hand, you have somebody who grew up
like you, knows you went to college with you, understands
the struggles and pains and joy that comes from those experiences.
Right now, I got to imagine a lot of you
are probably thinking, why doesn't he just play the SoundBite
of Obama saying this instead of reading it to us
(14:43):
and doing that bad accent. Guys, you know why I'm
doing it. Come on, Funny voices are funny, you know.
Damn well anyway, as Obama undoubtedly knows, the majority of
black people grew up like Kamala, who is the child
of two academic scholars and professors who spent their formative
teen years living in Quebec. That's how all black people are, right,
(15:07):
I mean, Obama just said that she grew up just
like you did. Are you black? Do you listen to this?
Believe it or not? Black people listen to this radio show.
There are black Republican men who listened to this show
every day. A handful of them are friends of mine,
and I don't think any of them grew up the
child of academic scholars and professors in Quebec. That's apparently
(15:30):
it's a place where rich white people live. No, that's not. No,
am I wrong? Maybe I've got it backwards. Maybe Tupac,
Tupac Harris's admitted favorite rap artist, was working on rap
before he was murdered about the life in the rough, tough,
mean streets of Montreal. Right is that? No? No, it
(15:50):
doesn't sound No, it doesn't sound right. Doesn't look Obama's
comparisons aside. Take note of the hypocrisy here. Imagine, if
you will, if Trump or any Republican for that matter,
white black, whatever, spoke of white males needing to get
out and vote vote for the particular political candidate because
of their skin color and their race and their ethnicity
(16:12):
and their cultural background. That would be pretty insulting, wouldn't it.
Imagine if Obama was white and he got a bunch
of white college kids together and he said, white people
need to get out and vote, vote for Trump because
they're just like Trump. Trump knows white people. He went
to college with white people. He understands the struggles and
pains and jazz and being white. Sounds pretty racist, doesn't it.
(16:33):
You know, about half of the country would lose their minds,
and rightfully so. Democrats would proclaim it to be racist.
They would fear monger that white supremacy was on the rise.
The chaos and the destruction of the Black Lives Matter
riots at twenty twenty would look like the work of
amateurs by comparison. But when Obama does it and the
(16:54):
focus is on black dudes, all the people clamoring for
racial equality in the end of the supposed racial and
justice is in the twenty first century turn a blind
eye or in many cases openly welcome such prejudice. Why
is that, you know why? This is what Democrats have
always done. They weaponize race and division to mobilize political support.
(17:20):
They create a racial class so they can go out
and get votes. They divide us. The political policies they
advocate for are awful, and they're moving the country further
and further away from our founding principles every day. The
American dream is now an American nightmare because Democrats stoke
the flames of racial strife to generate votes. They constantly
(17:41):
talk about the societal ills of racism, but they want
racism to exist and survive so they can rile up
the emotions of voters every election. Nobody loves racism more
than Democrat politicians because in the era of diversity and
equity and inclusion in it of supposed racial reckoning, only
(18:02):
left wingers and Democrats can get away with this bigoted,
discriminatory suggestion that black people need to vote for a
candidate who's black. Democrats and particularly Democrats like Obama or
Kamala want and need their voters to keep racism alive.
They condemn racism to the public, but work to keep
it alive in private, or work to keep it alive
(18:24):
in public. Depending on how you think about it, racial division, animosity.
They are the core of the Democrat philosophy, always have been.
Before it was Jim Crow. Now it's equal opportunity and
affirmative action. Now it's DEI and critical race theory. This
is the primary political energy source that Democrats siphon from
(18:47):
every time they need to create a narrative to win
an election. Don't listen to them. I'm listening to Pursuit
of happiness. This is Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness. I
KPRC nine point fifty Houston. Okay, check one, two, three,
We're on. We are on very exciting news, guys. Kamala
(19:09):
Harris is trying to elicit support from Florida's Haitian community.
In fact, she's even promised everyone who votes will receive
a very delicious golden retriever.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
I'm Kenny Webster. Thanks so much for turning your radio on.
It's great to be here with you, guys. I am
live in studio right now with a good friend of mine,
Christian Collins from the Texas Youth Summit, my brother from
another Let's get this microphone in front of you right there.
How's that?
Speaker 5 (19:33):
What's up with you, my man? How you been where
you've been? Bro Well, Kennie, thank you so much for
having me on. Thank you for all that you do.
It's great to have you at the Texas Youth Summit
and doing well. Excited to be here for I assume most.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Of our listeners and viewers we're on we're live streaming
on social media right now, as well as being on
the radio. And I think a lot of people know you,
but to those people that live outside of Southeast Texas,
you are You're a millennial. You're right in the middle
of the millennial years. You're in your thirties, and you
are a conservative, a Christian. You were part of the
Tea Party movement as a young man. Now you're part
(20:04):
of the America First movement, and you put together this
humongous thing called the Texas Youth Summit that has now
been around for four years. Don Junior, Matt Gates, Wesley Hunt,
Lauren Bobert. You get college kids and you redpill them.
You gather them together and it's a wholesome thing, and
you basically explain to them Corporate America, Academia, Hollywood, the
(20:25):
media are lying to you, here's what the truth is.
And you've changed thousands of people's lives and probably helped
at least a few good candidates find staff members. That's
pretty awesome thing to do, right.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Well, it's been so much fun to get to do it.
We started it in twenty nineteen and it's grown every
single year. And I consider it the favor of God,
you know, because I'm who am I to just have
all these amazing people that have just wanted to support
this movement, you know, whether they're speaking, whether people are donating,
all the kids that have wanted to come, and I
definitely consider it the favor of God. And there's no
(20:59):
other way to describe it. He uses our gifts and
our ability to network, and it's been so much fun.
I've I'm a college teacher and so I've been teaching
college for over a decade and I've seen firsthand having
been a former college student, uh in at the University
of Texas, and beforehand, you know how difficult it is
for for college students who lose their way. And in
(21:19):
my case, you know, I was a pastor's kid, and
though my dad was a pastor, you know, I fell
away from God one two. I thought I was a
liberal Democrat for a while, and I was going to
vote for Barack Obama because I liked the idea of
a black president. But thankfully my dad turned me onto
the Rush Limball Show and I got connected to conservative politics.
(21:40):
And you know, so I went out to college. I
was debating for College Republicans. I was very active in politics.
And but this is after you know, my teachers had
showed us Michael Moore videos and you know they I mean,
I was, I was going way off. I was going
way off the rails, and so thinking, you know, climate
(22:01):
change and gun control are my top issues. And you know,
so then I veered back to the right because of
Rush Limbaugh. I was debating for college Republicans. But you know,
I was conservative. But you know, on on the other hand,
I wasn't living for God, and my heart was away
from God. And it was one summer before my senior
year of college I turned my life over to God.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
It was reading Lee Strobo's book. I was twenty one
years old. Okay, so this is still pretty early in
your adult life.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
Yeah, yeah, you know, so I was reading Lee Strobo's book,
A Case for Christ, The Apologetics for why the gospel
is true and there's all this corroborating evidence for why
the gospel is true. And that really turned me on
to God, and that engaged my mind. But it was
as having an experience with God at a church that
changed my heart. And so I turned my life over
to God. But then I was like, Okay, I'm not
(22:50):
doing politics anymore. I only want to do faith, you
know based stuff. I want to maybe go to seminary
like my dad, who was a pastor, and my dad
encouraged me to continue down the path that i'd been on.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
Again.
Speaker 5 (22:59):
I was getting government degree, and you know, so I
went on to get my master's. I didn't go to
seminary at that time, and you know, I ended up,
you know, through a couple of different experiences, working with
Senator Ted Cruz and traveling with his father, the Reverend
Rafael Cruz. That's where I connected really my faith in
my politics. And if you don't know Rafael Cruz at
(23:20):
the time he was seventy six years old and now
he's about eighty three.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
He is so gung ho for this country. He told Ted,
I think a lot of people might know his son
is a little more famous than who's his son, Senator
Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz Okay, yeah, yeah, but we've hung
out with Rafael Cruz. In fact, we did a rally
when Wesley Hunt was up for reelection. Raviel Cruz a
great speaker, and he spoke at the Texas Youth Summit.
(23:45):
You talk to college kids a lot, but you're also
a college professor. They say, those that don't do teach,
but you do and you teach. So you do both
of the things right. You run an event, you organize events,
You've ran for office before, you're an activist, you're an author,
or you're you're on social media. What do you teach
college kids?
Speaker 5 (24:04):
Well, we teach them Judeo Christian values and conservative values.
And that's why I do the Texas Youth Summit is
is to instill those right values in them so that
they know why they believe what they believe. In scripture
talks about if your house is built on the sand,
you'll be swept away. But if you're built on the
firm foundation the rock, you'll you'll have the right perspective,
you'll be safe. Right, And so when we're when it
(24:26):
comes to worldview, it really matters, and in every area
of society. We have to have the right worldview. Whether
you're a radio host or you're an activist like I am,
or if you're but outside of politics, if you're in
if you're you know, in law enforcement, if you're a teacher,
if you're a firefighter, whatever worldview matters because you can
impact so many people. So we want them to have
the right worldview when they're in high school and college.
(24:48):
When you have you know, liberal teachers in your public
school system, Uh, they're they're you know, the books and
the libraries are crazy, you know, when you're going off
to college and they're trying to show you all these
different videos and turn you into a rabid America hating atheist.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
That's that's what the problem is.
Speaker 5 (25:06):
And so we want to make sure that they have
the right value so that they're set up for life
and they're good citizens of this country. So it's a
lot of fun to get to do it, and I'm
just so honored that you've been a part of it.
And you know, we bring in like these big names,
like you said, and we're going to continue to do it.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
It gets big over a year.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
This year we had the pyrotechnics and all the fun
stuff and you know, great hotel experience and so many
good sponsors.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
We had a great time and not unlike I don't
know how many people saw this viral video of Jerry
Seinfeld last weekend. He was in Australia, anti Israel activists
following him around. They go around to his comedy shows.
Nothing says funny like Islamic extremism, and that's what they're
advocating for. In the audience of the Jerry seinfeldcho at
the last Texas Youth Summit, wasn't there like a trans
(25:52):
for Palestine person that showed up to harass Matt Gates?
And he says, this person kind of like Jerry Seinfeld.
The person follows him everywhere.
Speaker 5 (26:01):
Yeah, he has this troll person that you know, just
unfortunately got through and you know, tried to bum rush
the stage and you know, he's this really.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Over Everybody was safe.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
It wasn't this really overweight trans guy and everybody was safe.
And Matt, you know, he didn't he never he never blinked.
I mean he just kind of looked at the guy
and as you know, he was being rushed off the
stage by security.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Uh, Matt just goes was that Liz Cheney.
Speaker 5 (26:28):
Just you know, it was it was an unfortunate moment
for me because I you know, I was just sitting
in the crowd at the time, and I was just like, well,
would you look at that? You know, then it done
on me. Okay, this is my event. You know, you
got to stop this. And and you know, but you know,
Matt was just so calm, cool and collected. He's like, yeah,
that guy follows me around everywhere.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
You know, he's he's but kind of like Matt the
bigger your event kids, every year your events growed. It
was a few hundred people, now it's a few thousand.
You did that. In a few years, there's going to
be more people that want to tear you. Demons are real, dude.
I mean I'm not, you know, I I'm not. This
isn't like Mojo Witchcraft talk or anything. I think demonic
people are real. Evil is real, curses are real. And
(27:11):
when you're doing something like what you guys do, teaching
people about American values and Christianity, people are going to
come for you.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
Christian you know, are we're fighting the culture war. And
Andrew Breitbart said, politics streams down from culture. One of
my heroes. But beyond that, you know, the underlying thing
that we all understand. You and I both understand this
is it's beyond politics and beyond the culture. There is
spiritual warfare going on. And you know, the scripture talks
(27:40):
about how we're fighting things beyond just what you see.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
It's the things that you don't see.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
And so it's important that we see it through that
lens and we realize that the trans movement, especially what
they've tried to do to young children and and groom
them from an early age, it's demonic.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
I think so absolutely. You mentioned Ted Cruz and the transgenderism.
It's unfortunately there's way too many news stories about girls
having to compete against fully grown men. But this was
a topic of discussion last night between Senator Ted Cruz
and a guy I affectionately refer to as concussion Beto,
(28:18):
which would be Colin Alred was an NFL player. It's
not a fair match. You have the guy that's considered
to be the greatest living member of the Harvard Debate Club.
Alan Dershowitz says, nobody's better at debating than Ted Cruz. Right,
whether you're liberal or conservative, if you're a member of
the Harvard Debate Club ted Cruz is really good. And
last night he had a debate with Colin Alreed and
(28:41):
one of the topics that was discussed was whether or
not boys should be able to compete against girls in sports.
And that is when this was what was su I.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
Said, not a word about his own record. I have
to admit the beginning of it. It reminded me of
Kamala Harrison, our debates, answering everything. Look, I was born
in the middle class. It's lines that sound nice that
ignore his record. Let's just talk about his voting record again.
You can go to allredfactx dot com. You can see
the actual votes. Four times he has come out for
men playing in women's sports, for boys playing in girls sports.
(29:14):
He is a co sponsor, and he voted for a
law called the Equality Act. The Equality Act mandated that
boys be able to go in girls' bathrooms and their
locker rooms and their changing rooms. He voted for it.
That is his record number two.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
There was a bill. It was a very song. Hold on,
hold on, I got a Pausiti right here. You get
what he do. You see what Colin just did. Shook
his head. That's not true. That's not true. It's subjectively true.
This isn't like we're saying your opinion is this, You
either did or didn't vote for it, and we've got
a record of it. There's a website like Ted Cruz
just explained, politicians, democrats will lie about anything. You can't
(29:47):
lie about what you did or didn't vote on. There's
a record of it. Yet Colin Alridge's doing it on
live TV. And I can't help but notice the Texas
Tribune's not fact checking him on that. KPRC Houston, not
US the radio station, but the local NBC affiliate also
not fact checking him on this. Why do they get
away with this Christian.
Speaker 5 (30:06):
Well, look, I mean they don't care to know the
truth and they don't want to point out anything that
Democrats ever do wrong because the Democrats on the mainstream media,
they are one and the same. And as it relates
to Colin Aldreda, Riley Gaines came out last night and
she said, you know this is not up for debate.
You voted, You voted with all the Democrats against keeping
(30:29):
men out.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Of women's sports.
Speaker 5 (30:31):
You did that, and there was a bill and they
made sure that they all voted in unison against that.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Do you believe these palls that claim that Ted Cruz
might lose to concussion beto to concussion, Wendy Davis, I'm
just not buying it. Well, I sure hope he doesn't lose.
Speaker 5 (30:46):
But I look, Ted always said you run two ways
if you're running for office, scared or unopposed. And so look,
the polling is very close, and they recognize that. And
Ted's being outspent just like he was being outspent in
twenty eighteen. Because Ted Cruz is such a stalwart fighter
for this state, in this country, there are people that
(31:07):
are sending in droves of money from all across the country.
If he was just a quiet senator who voted with
leadership right all the time. Yeah, and you know maybe
he you know, sometimes did some things that were kind
of liberal, they would be completely ignore it.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
Yeah, John Cornyn, you don't hear about the John Corden reelection.
Nobody talks about that. Colin Christian's right. I mean, you
look at the amount of money that's being spent right now.
I saw a report yesterday that claims Colin alrid is
spending ten times as much on advertising as Ted Cruz
is and guess what a lot of that money's from
coming from California and New York. Imagine that. Hey, Christian
(31:43):
Collins is my guest right now. Follow him on Twitter
quick break, We'll be right back. If you're watching us
on social media, We're not going anywhere, so stick around.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
According to a new report, exaggerated statements are up by
like a billion percent and now more of the highest
radid show on radio, Kenny Webster's Pursuit of Happiness.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
All right, we're back. Today is National take your Parents
to Lunch Day. Boy, that's got to be awkward for Hunter.
His dad's not going to remember eating lunch with him.
But at any rate, it is an exciting day take
your parents to lunch Day, or as Brad Pitt's kids
call it, second Mother's Day. Thanks so much for tuning
in today. Great to be here with you. I'm Kenny Webster.
(32:28):
I'm here with my buddy, Christian Collins. I'm a big
fan of Ted Cruz. To me, there are three good senators,
maybe four, right, Rand, Paul, Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and
probably in that order is the order i'd put him in.
Josh Holly, I think is a close fourth. I think
he does a great job. Other than that, you can't
count on most people in the Senate, Katie Vance. Maybe yeah, Jay, Okay, No,
(32:50):
you're right. I mean I think of him as You're right,
I think of him as the vice presidential candidate now, yeah,
but he's still a senator. I don't. I will tell
you this Christian about that. For a minute, I did
not like I didn't dislike him, but I didn't love
jd Vance right up until the moment I saw him
debate Tim Walls, and then it all made sense to me.
You know, I'm a liberty Republican. You know that I
(33:12):
come from the Ron Paul group. A lot of us
have found a home in the America First movement. I
don't entirely agree with all the economic policies. Sometimes when
I hear jd Vance talk about corporate America, I don't.
It sounds to me a little bit a little economically
liberal to me. But when I heard him get up
there on stage with Tim Walls, I did not hear
a single thing I disagreed with. It was almost like
(33:33):
being reintroduced to the guy. And I gotta think a
lot of Americans thought that, did you see this article?
I don't know if you saw this getting shared around.
Apparently a lot of gay liberal Democrats had a moment
of like a red pill moment when they were watching
jd Vance debate Tim Walls. Gay men decided gay liberal
(33:55):
Democrat men outspokingly decided they preferred jd Vance to Tim Walls.
And it wasn't just like a he's more handsome thing.
He made more sense to them policy wise. Were you shocked?
Did you know that? Did you hear about this?
Speaker 5 (34:06):
He sounded great in the debate. I think he did
a great job. And you know, when Don Junior was
at our Texas Youth Summit, the one thing he said
was he spent one hundred and seventy five percent of
his capital and working to get jd Vance elected. I
saw this on his social media. I mean, he was
being promoted by Don Junior for months leading up to
him being the nominee in July. So here's the thing
(34:29):
that people may not realize that Don Junior has his
dad's ear.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
Yeah, and if.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
You you know, you can go a long way by
being very close to Don Junior, and he has a
lot of weight on what's being happened, what's happening in
this country. And so you know Don is is he
has a great knack for finding good talent, and he
picked a very good guy. And I think jd Vance
with his story, you know, being able to reach Middle America.
(34:57):
You know, he obviously is ivy league, he's educated, he's
served in the military, he's a business owner, he's been
a great family man, you know, for all of these reasons.
And he's young and he can reach young voters for
all of these reasons. I think he's the perfect fit.
And you know, I mean his story. I don't know
if you've seen Hillbilly Elegy, Yeah, it's fantastic.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
I thought it was a great story. I'm not a
huge fan of Ron Howard, but I thought they did
a good job on it. It's a little sad and depressing,
but it has a happy ending. I mean, I guess
that describes a lot of movies. When you hear it's
a movie about drug addiction in the Rust Belt, you
know you're not going to go into it and get
something real happy. But in the end, ultimately it's a
good story. Liberals are doing this thing to jd Vance
where they think by pointing out how unaware they are
(35:40):
of what Republicans actually believe that they're pointing out how
Republicans are hypocrites. I'll give you an example. I saw
this tweet the other day from the I think it
was from the pod Saves America guy or one of
those people, one of these former Obama guys, was saying JD.
Van said Donald Trump hate immigrants, and yet they're both
married to one. It was like, in one sentence, he
(36:02):
couldn't he didn't realize that he was pointing out that
he just doesn't understand Republican policies. I mean, isn't that
really what's happening there. Republicans don't have a problem with immigrants.
Trump and JD. Vans are both Mary do An immigrant.
Their problem is illegal immigration. It seems obvious.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
To me they want to make it about all immigrants,
and they're trying to claim that Republicans are racist or
white supremacists. That's how they That's what they always do.
That's all they got, really. I mean, it's the same
old Sololensky playbook. But the reality is, I mean, there
are ten to twenty million legal immigrants in our country,
and there's over four hundred thousand of them with criminal records.
(36:37):
There's sixteen thousand that are rapists and thirteen thousand that
have been got that are you know, they have a
murder charge on their crime records.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Right, that's huge.
Speaker 5 (36:47):
This is not this is a big department of Homeland Security.
This is this is Biden's Department of Homeland Security. So
we've got to do everything that we can to secure
the border. And people that have come here legally we
should honor them. We need people that are good people
that are going to contribute to making our country great.
So people that have come here the right way, that
(37:07):
have worked all of their lives to get here. You know,
that's what that statue of liberty is all about. It.
It's supposed to be the land of opportunity, but we
have to come through the front door and not the
back door.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Isn't it more racist to try to draw a line
between JD. Vance's Ivy League educated wife and Trende or Ragua,
Like that's what's racist, right, Look, they're all immigrants. No,
it's not the same thing at all. It isn't even
close to the same thing. This was a topic of
discussion last night at the Ted Cruz Colin Alred Senate
(37:35):
Texas Senator debate. And I watched the DNC just like
I watched the RNC. I'm sure you probably took a
look at both, did you. Colin Alreed gave a speech
and I had to see it when he spoke at
the DNC, and he's listing off all the policies that
his staff members agree that he supports, and one of
them's like, yeah, we're gonna do trans rites and IVF
(37:55):
and abortion for women and all. And then he says,
and secure the border, Christian, you could have heard a
pin drop in that room, the people in the room
at the DNC, giant stadium full of Democrats, and secure
the border, Colin Alredd says. And everybody's what, secure the border?
That's not what we're It's not what. Oh in Texas, Oh,
in Texas. That's yeah, yeah. And last night they tried
(38:18):
to make this point again. Here's the Democrat candidate for
Texas senator trying to make you believe that he actually
cares about border security, which is obviously laughing.
Speaker 4 (38:28):
The entire answer, Congressman all Read made zero reference to
anything he's actually done in office, as Gromer Jeffers rightly
noted in this question Congressman all Red has said publicly,
if you believe border security matters, he thinks you're a racist.
He calls the border wall quote quote, that racist border wall,
and he is pledged to tear down that racist border
(38:49):
wall personally, and he said, quote, we will not have
that wall in this country. And by the way, that's
been as consistent voting record, he's voted against the border wall,
not once, not twice, but three times. Every single time
there's a serious measure in the House to secure the border,
Colin Allred votes no. Look, it's a pattern we've seen
(39:10):
actually at the presidential level, because it's what Kamala Harris
does as well. And understand at home, Colin Allred is
Kamala Harris. Their records are the same. I've served with
both of them. They voted in favor of open borders
over and over and over again, and now they are
desperately trying to hide that from the voters. Now at
the end, Congressman Allred said, well, gosh, Cruz hasn't done
(39:33):
anything on that. Well, let's talk about my record. When
Donald Trump was president, I worked hand in hand with
President Trump to secure the border and we achieved incredible success.
We produce the lowest rate of illegal immigration in forty
five years. That's what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris inherited.
It's what Colin Allread inherited, and they deliberately broke it
(39:54):
and opened the border, and Texas is paying the price.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
I don't understand how anybody could disc agree with what
Ted Kruz just said there. The numbers on this are indisputable.
Look at the headlines today at Brightbartexas dot com trendy
Arragua gang member charged with prostituting drugged, passed out migrants
in Texas, Kamala's broken border, special interest alien surge in Texas.
New migrant caravan headed north trying to beat the possible
(40:19):
arrival of a Trump administration. They're not worried about Kamala
being president. Are they a Christian college? Absolutely not?
Speaker 5 (40:27):
And the borders are Where was she when allowing all
of these people to come into our country. It's because
of Harris's and Biden's policy of ending remain in Mexico policy.
I mean, they are just catching them and releasing them
into our country instead of catching them and deporting them
back to the country that they came from. Right so
we have a situation in our country now that they
(40:49):
caused because they stopped President Trump's policies via executive order.
And you know, they're now claiming that they're they've tried
to solve the problem that they created. I mean, we
can look at the numbers and understand clearly that the
numbers don't lie that these The illegal immigration problem was
so much lower under President Trump, and now we have
(41:12):
these large droves.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Of illegal immigrants coming into our country.
Speaker 5 (41:16):
And as it relates to Colin Aldred, Colin Aldred is
trying to sound like a moderate. He's trying to sound
like he's bipartisan. He's trying to do this because he
knows he's running in red Texas.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
Just like when.
Speaker 5 (41:35):
Bede O'Rourke he would claim that he owned a gun
and that he shot guns. But when he ran in
the Democrat primary two years later in the twenty twenty
election for president, he said, hell, yes, we're going to
take your ar fifteen. These politicians are smart. They'll say
whatever they need to say to get elected. They'll talk
to they'll talk to the you know, the big oil people,
and they'll say, well, no, we're not going to stop
(41:57):
big oil we're going to make sure that we continue,
you know, the policies that have made Texas prosper They're
going to say that they're not going to take away
Texas's gun rights. They're gonna say that they're going to
secure the border because they know who they're talking to,
and in reality, they're going to do just the opposite.
We can look at the voting record, just as Senator
Cruz indicated to see exactly what he's going to do.
(42:19):
He voted for four years in unison with Nancy Pelosi.
By that we understand exactly who he is. He's a
radical leftist Democrat.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
Yeah. I always thought one of the funniest moments for
Democrats in Texas pretending to be moderates before Beto was Wendy.
Wendy ran and lost against Abbott, I think, right, And
then after she lost she came out and she said,
all right, I told everybody I was for the Second
Amendment when I was running for office. I'm actually not.
And I almost admired her for admitting this out loud,
(42:50):
like you're admitting out loud that you lied to us. Yeah,
I did, but I almost got arrested, and then I
almost got elected and then when she ran against Chip Roy,
obviously that was the only thing anybody could talk about. Yeah,
but you've admitted that you're a liar. It was like
when Fauci told us don't wear masks, don't wear masks,
and then he came out again later on, he's good,
Thank you very much, Mike. You know what if Fauci
(43:12):
and Bernie, it's like the same voice. So it's hard
when I'm doing Bernie. With Bernie, you just go down
in octave, Like have you ever noticed how all beatles
and personations are the same But Ringo is the low pitch,
Paul's in the middle, and then John's kind of high, like, yeah,
where the Beatles? Where are the beatles? Roast, where are
the Beatles? It's the same voice, you just switch octaves.
That's anyway. I went off on a tangent there, But
(43:34):
my favorite moment Christian from last night's debate was this
right here. Ted had the perfect answer when Colin Alredy
came at him with the very predictable talking point about
January sixth and Ted being a threat to democracy. He
brought up the Save Act and it's not funny, is
you're a threat to democracy?
Speaker 4 (43:51):
Sure, I was on the Senate.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
I was on the House floor when we went through
the votes. I remember when you objected the results in Arizona.
Speaker 4 (43:58):
Now, let me be clear, I don't know Congressman all Read.
I have no animus for him personally nice, but I
do know his voting record. His voting record is radical
and extreme. And you want to talk about threats to democracy.
Let's take a vote that just happened a few weeks
ago on the floor of the House, the Save Act.
The Save Act provided that in order to register to vote,
you got to prove you're an American citizen. Congressmen already
voted no. Eleven and a half million illegal immigrants have
(44:22):
come into this country under Kamala Harris and Colina Alred's
open border policies, and Congressmen all Read votes no to
protecting our elections and ensuring that people don't vote illegally.
That is a threat to democracy.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
Dude, I mean, is that not the perfect answer? What Christian?
This is so basic. It's called the Save Act. Right,
we don't want non citizens to vote. How could you
be against that?
Speaker 5 (44:45):
The only way that you could be against that is
if you want illegal immigrants to vote. I mean, it's obvious,
and they want to give them a pathway to citizenship.
And they don't even want in California to they're not
even allowed to check voter ideas. You're not even allowed
to ask for it. It's a crime if you ask
for it now. So in other words, they want illegal
immigration to happen because they want to import voters and
(45:06):
they and if there's enough illegal immigrants that are shipped
off to every single swing state, you know, six or
seven swing states, there will never be another Republican election
where we win again. I mean, yeah, there will never
be another Republican president and they will accomplish all of
their goals. So their goal here is very clear. They
know exactly why they're doing this, they're just not expressing that.
(45:29):
And they don't want to disenfranchise you know, union workers
and people like in Michigan and Wisconsin and Pennsylvania that
they need to vote for them.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
That's it. Christian. I could talk to my buddy Christian
Collins all day, but we got to run. Unfortunately, we're
up against the clock here. If you're not following Christian
on social media, do it. He's on Facebook, he's on Instagram,
he's on Twitter. A lot of great content there. Check
out the Texas Youth Summit. They have a website. If
you are trying to find like minded people in and
around Southeast Texas. They can help you find adults, college kids,
(45:57):
whatever the group may be. And yeah to the rest
of you, I say, have an awesome afternoon. I pray
for all of you. I love you all. Get back
here bright and early tomorrow morning for more of what
you bought a radio for. I have a great day.
Speaker 3 (46:13):
You are listening to the Pursuit of Happiness Radio.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
Tell the government to kiss your ass when you listen
to the show.
