Giganic government sucks. The suit ofHappiness radio is deluxe. Liberty and freedom
will make you smile or a suitof habbines us on your radio, Toyle
Justice, cheese burs a Liby friesat the food McDonald's permanently discontinued salads.

(00:25):
Come on, let's be honest.Going to McDonald's for salads is like going
to Arby's for I don't know anything. Hi, I'm Kenny Webster. Thanks
for turning on your radio. Verybeautiful afternoon here. It's sunny out is
it. I actually don't have awindow here. I think it's sonny out
there. I don't know what's goingon out there. I do know this,
guys, I got power back lastnight, and cable and internet too.

(00:45):
Well. Internet. I don't havecable TV. I'm I'm a millennial
in the twenty first century. Whatwould have you doing with cable? A
big show today? Lot's going on, Dan Patrick and Joe Biden interfeuding,
and lots of controversy involving the federalgovernment now trying to intervene in the burl
recovery. We'll get to that,so stick around for it. Can should
non citizens be able to vote.Chip Roy, Congressman Chip Roy has some

(01:07):
things to say about that. Journalists, Holly Hansen, Sorry, I have
too much going on in the studioright now. I think it's gonna be
like that for most of the show. Sorry, there's a lot happening in
the background today because we're having technicalissues. But Holly Hansen will be here
from the Texan dot News. BrandonWaltons will be here from Texas Scorecard to
talk about those Texas related news storiesand the intersection with the federal government.

(01:29):
Daniel Turner will be here from Powerthe Future to talk a little bit about
Joe Biden's broken brain. We're notgoing to open the show with that for
once, because we have talked aboutit quite a bit over the past couple
days. But we'll get to itlater on because there is news. George
Clooney is now part of the story. But before we get to any of
that, call me Cuba. I'mthe King of bo Bumpy. It's a
new Cold War. The Federalist dotCom today reporting on a Chinese spying facility

(01:55):
in Cuba. And you know whoelse is down in Cuba right now?
That's right, Rush. Russia's gotwarships down there, China has likely upgraded
and expanded its spying facilities in Cuba. This is according to a new report.
The report not only confirms that aCold war between China and the US
has already started, but kind ofraises some concerns that China may be aiming

(02:15):
to bring it to America's doorstep. And you know, our buddies in Russia
feel the same way. So Russia'sfriends with China. Boy sounds very familiar,
doesn't really does? So this groupcalled the Center for Strategic and International
Studies. It is a Washington,DC based think tank, and they produced
a study as a follow up toThe Wall Street Journal's recent reporting that revealed

(02:38):
China had in fact secretly agreed topay cash strapped Cuba several billion dollars to
put a Chinese electronic eavesdropping facility onthe island. Now, I bet they
didn't have to pay them much.Cuba hates America, Cuba loves China,
Quba loves Russia. Probably not wantingthe news to disrupt the Bided administration's approach

(02:58):
to how they're handling Beijing. TheWhite House is insisting the Wall Street Journal's
report was just wrong, and youcould trust the White House? Right What?
Why is everybody laughing at me?Okay? So the Biden administration's vague
explanation only inspired more research on thetopic. So this think tank in Washington,
DC examined year's worth of satellite imagesand released its findings last week.

(03:20):
And guess what they found. Yeah, it sure looks like there are at
least four spy stations on the islandof Cuba. And I have a funny
feeling they're not spying on South America. The US and the Soviet Union they
did this for years. Now Chinais more involved, and since the spying
stations in Cuba have been shrouded insecrecy, we can only suspect with a

(03:42):
high degree of confidence they were fundedand built by Beijing, because we know
they're there and we know what they'redoing. Historically, China lacked military and
intelligence access to the Caribbean, butit has strategically leveraged Cuba's economic woes.
Cuba's broke as a joke bro theyneed help, and it just so happens
they're politically aligned with what people aredoing in China. So is anybody surprised?

(04:05):
I think the real surprise here isthat the Russian Federation is basically still
the Soviet Union because they're down thereas well, playing along with Cuba and
China, and I think they allhave a common interest defeating US, defeating
Taiwan, defeating Ukraine, defeating NATO, defeating the G Seven. Chinese leaders

(04:25):
may have drawn a troubling conclusion fromthe recent presidential debate. They may believe
that in America, led by afrail leader who at time struggles to articulate
his thoughts, is a weakened Americanripe for exploitation. This perception of weakness
could provoke China and other adversaries toact aggressively. The coming months until the
election are critical for America's security. In other words, by Amo, screw

(04:51):
you, I'm going to Texas andthank our lucky stars, sorry, our
lucky lone star. Oh we did. This is Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness.

(05:15):
I've worked in political news media, certainly commentary right most of my adult
life. And I've also lived ina city that gets hurricanes for over a
decade. I mean over a quarterof my life, more more than half
of my adult life. I've livedin Texas, in Houston, so I've
started to notice over the years there'skind of an order of things when there's

(05:38):
a natural disaster in how we handleit, but also in how the media
handles it, right, I mean, okay, and how everybody handles a
hurricane. You see the news, you hear a hurricane might come, you
joke about it, you dismiss it, or you run out. You get
bottled water and trail mix, andthen what do you do? Sandbags,
hunker down. Then comes the recoveryprocess. You reach out to all your

(05:59):
friends, make sure everybody's okay.Hopefully that's as bad as it gets.
Right. The media has a wayof dealing with this as well. There's
the early coverage, will the hurricanecome, Then there's the live coverage as
it's happening. Then there's the coverageafterwards about how we're handling the recovery.
And then there's this moment where asa news consumer or a news producer,

(06:23):
after the hurricane has really rocked yourcity and it's all you've thought about for
twenty four to forty eight hours, you start to wonder what's going on in
the rest of the country right now, what's going on with the presidential election,
what's happening with sports, you knowwhat I mean, You kind of
forget about that stuff for twelve toforty eight hours, depending on how bad
the storm is, and then youget to this moment where you think,

(06:43):
Hey, what did Joe Biden haveto say about Hurricane Burrell. I mean,
this is a pretty big deal.I know Joe hates Texas, but
Houston is not conservative by any means. Houston's filled with liberal politicians, liberal
voters, liberal political donors, theliberal political donors. Surely Joe must care
about Burrell. I've said Suhirley likenine times today. I don't know why.

(07:06):
It's like that word stuck in myhead. It's rattling around like boards
that fell off the side of abuilding in the middle of a road during
a hurricane. That's a good segue. So I wondered what the heck is
going on with Joe. Turns outhe is having a little dispute with acting
Governor Dan Patrick. Acting Governor danPatrick because Governor Abbott is out of the

(07:28):
country. Holly Hanson of the TexanDot News, that's right, and stop
calling me Shirley. You know,we had an interesting war of words erupted
yesterday. It was kind of strangebecause Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, who is
the acting governor when governor is unavailableand Governor Abbott is overseas the Long Plan

(07:54):
trips. He said, we're inAsia. Uh So, dan Patrick has
taken over the duties the governor andthat includes emergency response coordination. He was
in a press conference yesterday with HoustonMayor John Wittmeier other elected officials from both
sides of the political aisle when thisnews breaks. Is the report published by

(08:18):
the Houston Chronicle that the President Bidensaid he couldn't issue a major disaster declaration
immediately because he couldn't get in touchwith dan Patrick. After the press conference,
I guess someone told Dan Patrick whatwas happening, and he responded immediately,
you know, just completely refuting this, saying that, yeah, they

(08:41):
he had been with SEMA officials forthree days, they'd been coordinating with federal
authorities all along, and they'd onlyever received one phone call from the White
House. And he's even shared thephone record that went to Chief nim Kid,
he's in charge of the Texas Departmentof Emergency Management. The governor's office

(09:03):
is also refuted what the President said. Is said it's a complete lie.
And I said, the President andhis administration know exactly how to get in
touch with the governor. They've alsosorted that the state officials and city officials
have been working with FEMA since Aprilof this year to try to have a

(09:24):
very coordinated response through the hurricane season. So it's just kind of a bizarre
claim that erupted, you know, the headline story at the Houston Chronicle,
but just very odd for the Presidentto take aim at this way. Ironically,
at the press conference prior to thisthis news breaking, they were all

(09:48):
talking about what a great collaborative effortthey were having between mir Wittmeyer, who's
a Democrat, longtime Democrat, andthe Texas Senate, other Demo officials.
There plenty of Republicans there, andPatrick even made the comment that this was
total teamwork quote, there's no politicshere. So it's very strange. It

(10:11):
just seems like kind of an anout of the blue accusation from the White
House. Also an interesting contrast, you know, you have this big press
conference yesterday and Dan Patrick has beenyou know, traveling through the affected areas.
He was in Brian, he wasin Allison County yesterday, and been
in Houston, and Whitmyer has beenhaving you know, daily multiple times a

(10:33):
day in fact conferences and continuing tocollaborate with all the officials. Uh,
then we had Harris County judge lyand Hidalgo suddenly called a press conference yesterday.
To hers was pretty much just heran official from center point, whereas
the other Harrison County commissioners were atWhitmyers press conference. So you know,

(10:58):
there's some interesting point dynamics going onhere, and it's really unfortunate because I
think that people are just you know, just wanting to get their power back
on for one thing, and getthis recovery underway. Okay, So a
few immediate thoughts, right, becausewhenever I'm looking at these situations, this
is not the first time we've seenthis where the federal, state, and

(11:20):
local political leaders are passing the buckand trying to blame each other during a
natural disaster. The first thing Ithink of, Holly is Katrina. I
think of Katrina because when Katrina happened, who is the governor of Louisiana at
the time was Kathleen Blanco, Andeverybody remembers the President, George W.
Bush, Kanye West, went onTV and famously said George W. Bush
doesn't care about black people. Andyou know, so in this case,

(11:43):
it's like, all right, doesDan Does Dan Patrick care about whoever lives
in Houston, whatever color they are, Well, obviously he does. Look,
I hate to give him credit, but he owns a radio station here,
his family lives here. It's notlike Dan Patrick doesn't give a damn
about Houston. He certainly does. He's probably more financially and emotionally invested in
Houston than even state senator from thisparty, Senate District seven, the seat

(12:11):
occupied by Paul Bettencourt, if Iremember correctly. So, yeah, he's
definitely from this area. And doI even need to point out not only
does Dan Patrick own a house herein a radio station, but the other
two people in this equation, JoeBiden and Lena Hidalgo, and from my
understanding, neither of them own anyproperty in Harris County. Have you heard
that before? I have not heardthat before, But you know that's that's

(12:35):
not unlikely. I suppose I've neverI've never looked into it, but I'm
but I'm told that Lena Hidalgo isnot a property owner in Harris County.
That's just something that's been said tome by journalists. I don't know if
that's true or not. Yeah,I've heard that as well, But you
know, I mean, I don'tknow. I mean, I don't think
you need to own property necessarily tobe concerned about what's happening. I think

(12:58):
everybody is concerned. And you know, it was it seemed like everybody was
really coming together and there wasn't alot of political divide. You know,
wit Meyers had press efforts where hehad both Senator Ted Cruz and Democratic Representative
Al Greene president. You know, there's been people from both parties. It's

(13:18):
been a very collaborative effort. Yesterdaythere was a letter sent, collaborative letter
sent by both crews. I'm tryingto remember who all was on this letter.
I know it was Ted Cruz,Democrat reps Al Greene and Sylvia Garcia
had all signed on to this letter, and you know, it was it

(13:39):
was a bipartisan effort, and thiswas, you know, seeking additional aid
for the Houston region. And that'sI think what Rosident would really like to
see. They don't like all thispartisan bickering. And you know, I
guess there are some you know, people maybe are grouchy because they don't have
air conditioning right now, but youknow, there's a sy to want to

(14:00):
find somebody to pin the blame onand be angry at. And then there
are some concerns about whether or notCenter Point was properly prepared, and we'll
wait to find out what the answerto that question is. But right now,
you know, the important thing isjust everybody coming together and trying to
work to recover from this before everyonemoves back into their political quarters and gets

(14:22):
ready for the what is often anincredibly silly political season and the run up
to the elections. Okay, Ihate to keep going back to this,
but if Lena doesn't own property here, it does kind of tell you at
the end of the day, shedoesn't have any long term plans to stay
in Houston. She doesn't give adamn about Houston. I don't think she
ever did. But all that beingsaid, I couldn't help. But notice,

(14:43):
you know they all criticized Ted Cruz. You remember what we talked about
on Monday. This woman flew off. She she left town right before this
hurricane hit and then pretended like shecame back because of the hurricane. She
didn't come back because of the hurricane. She came back because the holiday weekend
was over, and pretended like shewas in some big rush to save the
city. I think I don't thinkshe's done anything to make it better.

(15:05):
I would even point out this. You know, it's interesting Center Point Energy.
You probably saw this report. Ithink you just pointed you just you
know, acknowledged that this happened.Center Point Energy during this hurricane did not
have a bunch of backup trucks fromother cities surrounding the area here in Houston.
Now, to those of you thataren't longtime Houston residents or people that
have been through a lot of hurricanes, that's kind of unusual. Usually they'll

(15:28):
call people and go, hey,Dallas, fort Worth, Hey Waco.
You know, hey San Antonio,we're gonna have a natural disaster over here.
We need some Centerpoint Energy guys tocome into town. And then you
see those trucks driving all over town. I don't actually see that many trucks
driving around. This is only aCat one. Holly, how is it
that three days later there's still millionsof people without power. I'm gonna go
ahead and blame Lena Hidalgo for that, simply because she's the one that left

(15:52):
town before all this happened and didn'tdo any prep for the hurricane. Well,
I'm not gonna join you on that. I think it's so much more
complicated picture, and there are questionsabout whether or not Centerpoint was properly prepared.
I do think two things can betrue. At the same time.
We could be looking in a situationwhere they were not really prepared for what
happened. But also I think thata lot of times people don't really understand

(16:18):
the complicated nature of restoring after astorm like this, where there's widespread damage.
You can't just jump right in andstart putting up towers. It has
to be carefully planned out because ofthe dangerous way transmission lines work. But
that's a whole other topic. Andyou know, and I kind of agree
with what the Lieutenant Governor Dan Patricksaid yesterday is right now, the focus

(16:42):
is on getting the power restored. We'll do the post storm analysis once we
get everybody back up and running, and then I do think Center Point will
we'll have to answer some questions aboutwhether or not they get properly broaden enough
resources and to be fair, youknow about this on Monday, right the
Spaghetti model, and you know, people who were saying, look, this

(17:06):
storm could come to Houston. Theywere being ridiculed publicly for quote, doing
their own research instead of following theherd of meteorologists who said it was going
to just hit Mexico and not comeup this way. So you know,
I don't know, I can't answerthat, and I have a hard time,
you know, pointing at one personwhen in something like this happens.

(17:27):
I mean, to some extent, disasters happen, and you have to be
as prepared as best you can anthese storms are often very unpredictable. Yeah,
I disagree. I blame Lena. You go for it. How are
you doing? Are you okay?Do you guys have power out there?
What's up with you? You know, we we were unfortunate during the storm

(17:49):
in May, and we were withoutpower for three days. Then there wasn't
quite a hole of blue, whichI find kind of interesting. But we're
just out here, and you know, Rubland an unincorporated Harrison County, so
I guess no one gets all thatworked up about it. But we've been
good this time. We've had powerthe whole time Fanny Internet, which I

(18:10):
don't really care about because that meansI just pick up a really good book
and don't worry about what's going onon the internets. Isn't it No,
We're good. Isn't it weird howthe grid works. There's places in the
city where you have power right acrossthe street, but you don't have it
here. And I know more thanone person that lives on a big road
like Fountain View or Post Oak Boulevardand across the street they could see everybody's

(18:32):
got power and they got nothing.Right. Yeah, No, it's a
complicated network of the way the transmissionlines work. And you know, back
to the point I made earlier, and I'm not trying to excuse the center
point, but I do understand youhave to assess the pattern of outages and

(18:52):
figure out what to target first beforeyou get start work. It is dangerous
work, and they are trying toprioritize the hospital and you know those high
risk areas, nursing homes and thingslike that where people are particularly vulnerable.
And it's pretty complicated. I thinka little bit too. We're a little

(19:12):
bit impatient, and granted it isvery hot and extremely uncomfortable, and I
think that's adding to the the flareof tempers in the city. I would
like to see some of the peoplewho I don't know if you remember this
couple of years ago, were writingall these pieces about how air conditioning is
terrible, we need to give itup, and I think someone even said

(19:34):
it was sexist and we needed tolearn to live without it. I wonder
where those people are today, ifthey'd like to visit Houston, come on
down. I don't know, Holly, I don't see any reason. I
don't see any reason to defend orattack Centerpoint Energy. I thought we already
established this was Lena Hidalgo's fault andher nerdy nerdy fiance who will most certainly
beginning a swirly later from Mayor JohnWhitmeyer. I'm Kenny Webster. That's my

(19:56):
friend Holly Hanson. You can followher on so social media or check out
her work at the Texant News. The difference between a politician and a snail.
A snail leaves its slime behind. You're listening to Kenny Webster. Really,

(20:18):
not enough could be said for howmuch the Liberals and the Democrats have
changed their position on their leading candidateright now, a leading candidate. He's
the nominee. The guy's got thedelegates. It doesn't matter what you guys
want. Joe Biden is your guy. I know, I know, technically
anything could happen at the convention,But isn't it interesting how some of Joe
Biden's biggest supporters, just a coupleof weeks ago suddenly have become against other

(20:44):
George Clooney, you remember when heflew home from the G seven summit.
It was very important to leave thissummit early so he could go to a
fundraising benefit out on the West Coastwith Jimmy Kimmel and George Clooney, And
you may remember famously he was embarrassed, very embarrassed moment for him. I
got to think when he was walkedoff stage by Barack Obama. Barack Obama

(21:07):
grabbed his arm and started like hewas almost like he was having a stroke.
He had to get him off stageas fast as possible. Sad to
watch it, and George Clooney wasthere, what about the other ones?
George Stephanopolis did an interview with JoeBiden. Now, George Stephanopolis is a
Bill Clinton Democrat it was Bill Clinton'spress secretary, not exactly a non partisan

(21:29):
member of the media spent ninety minuteslast week trying to talk Joe out of
dropping out of the race. Andthen Jake Tapper, the moderator of the
debate. Every one of these guyshas since come out and said Joe probably
shouldn't be president, even John Stewart. Even John Stewart, you know it's
bad when you've lost the cheerleading squadon Comedy Central. Here with some analysis

(21:55):
and you know, a little bitof breakdown of what just took place.
My good buddy, Daniel Turner, the Power of the Future, Daniel,
it's got to make you feel goodas an advocate for the American energy industry
and looking at the MAGA list ofpriorities that just came out, knowing that
American energy production is on the list, to see that there is a pretty
good chance here that Joe's gonna losein November, and the people surrounding him,

(22:15):
propping him up the most, arenow suddenly against him. Yeah,
and they realize he's going to lose, and that's their motivation. But that's
pretty sinister, right. Their motivationis not the health of a country.
It's not the leader of the freeworld being somebody who is competent and alert
and can stay away past eight pm. It's not right that their motivations are

(22:40):
purely, Hey, we're going tolose, and this is not a game.
I mean, it is a gamefor them, but this is not
Oh my gosh, Kenny the starquarterback is wounded. We got to replace
him with someone so we win thebig game on Friday. This is the
survival of our nation. And theydon't care about the fact that he can't
do the job right now, careabout the fact that he will lose in

(23:00):
November. That's it, and that'sall that matters to them. Wow,
it's its amazing. People are twohundred forty million dollars USA today is an
interesting headline, the two hundred fortymillion dollar question. If Joe drops out,
what happens to all that money?Daniel, Yeah, exactly. And
and and this is where people whodon't know campaigns and the process, the

(23:26):
the logistical and legal process of campaigns, they're they're a little bit out of
their element. They're saying, well, they'll just replace Joe with somebody else.
Well, you know, there arevendors who are running digital and TV
and social media ads right now,and their contract, their contract is with
Biden Harris campaign. So that meansthat they're they're, they're all their work

(23:48):
is being paid by this company thatis the Biden Harris campaign. It's not
the Gavin Newsom Gretchen Whitmer campaign. And so you can just swap out me
let alone the whold democering. Rightthe people who are always telling us about
the threats to democracy want to havea secret backdoor meeting where they get to
choose the nominee. So much fordemocracy, but you know there are legal

(24:11):
and financial hurdles that this huge warchest that can't just be transferred to somebody
else who George Stephanopoulos thinks has thebest chance of winning in November. That's
not how it works. It's nothow it works. No, it really
isn't. And boy, there's justso much about this that people don't understand.
You raised a couple of good pointsright there that I hadn't heard anybody

(24:33):
point out out how there's digital advertisingcampaigns in contract. I didn't even thought
of that, because two hundred andforty million dollars in campaign funds is a
lot of money, and a lotof that war chest has already been promised
to certain people and certain things. So, yeah, you're right, you
can't just simply drop out. Butisn't it interesting, And I know you've
pointed this out before, the peoplethat call themselves Democrats are trying to remove

(24:56):
Biden and Trump from the ballots rightnow, simultaneously, both of them.
Yeah. Yeah, it's a brilliantpoint. And that's who the people have
chosen. Right, the right overwhelminglychose Trump, the Republicans overwhelming the trochse
Trump, and they had lots ofoptions, and they made Nikki Hanley a
viable candidate Coke World, the KochBrothers gave her forty million dollars in super

(25:21):
pac money. Right, the Defantuscampaign was a viable alternative, and he
had his mega donors. But thepeople, ultimately, the people did not
choose them. And so whether youlike it or not, you know,
if you're George will or if you'rethe Lincoln Project or any of these other
never trumpers on the right, thepeople have spoken and that's who the nominee
is. And it goes to thesame with the left. Right, they

(25:45):
remember they changed rules to keep BobKennedy out of the of the primary process,
so he had a run as anindependent. Right, they did everything
they could to protect Biden so thatnobody would challenge him. You're stuck with
the guy, right, I mean, this is why he didn't get hardly
any media attention. But but thisis why. And his name, of

(26:07):
course went right out of my head. From Minnesota was running also as a
candidate, Gosh, Kenny. Whatwas the name of the congressman who was
running for president challenging Biden on theprimary, And they tried Dean Phillips.
They tried their hardest to keep DeanPhillips. I don't think I don't even
think Dean Phillips's wife remembers his name. Daniel Turner. Don't feel bad about

(26:29):
that, no, exactly. Butyou know they did not want any threats
to Biden. Well this is theresult. Can't tell me, Yeah,
you can't tell me. There aren'tpeople who who a month ago, two
months ago, were like, ohboy, this is bad, right,
and they all just lied to us. George Clooney and his fundraiser lied to
us. Right. So now younow you have a New York Times op

(26:51):
ed which is amazing. George Clooney. George Clooney, Right, the guy
from the Facts of Life and Eror whatever a TV show he was on.
He's now the political mastermind, youknow, because his wife hates Jews.
He's the one calling the political shots. George Clooney. You know what
does Brad Pitt thinks? Has anyoneasked Jennifer Aniston her opinion? Who the

(27:15):
hell are these people kidding? Oh? Isn't it weird? If the left
we lose, learns one thing fromall of this, which I'm sure they
will learn nothing, Daniel, It'sthat maybe we should stop looking at Hollywood
celebrities as role models for what weshould do politically. I mean, Robert
de Niro, What did Robert deNiro add to any of this? He
made the whole thing into a joke. When the Trump trials were going on.

(27:37):
I really got a wonder too,Dearrett. You brought up RFK Junior
and how they changed the roles tokeep him out of this whole thing.
It reminded me of twenty sixteen.Did you know this? I bet a
lot of people did, but theyforgot. Bernie Sanders got involved in a
lawsuit his campaign tried to sue theDNC because they rigged a debate where they
gave Hillary Clinton the debate questions inadvance back in twenty sixteen. Singtor's campaign

(28:02):
lost that lawsuit because a federal courtruled it even though it was proven that
they did try to rig the debatethat it was their own party's nominee.
You're allowed to rig a debate. You're not allowed to rig an election,
but you can rig a debate legally, which was a weird thing for a
court to rule, but I guesslegally speaking, that makes sense. There's
no law against it. And soif the Democrats have a history of cheating

(28:22):
or try and throw elections, Imean, who could forget the element the
existence of super delegates. How bizarrewas that. I never liked it,
But there was one time where Ithought it was okay, and that was
when they cheated in a way sothat we wouldn't have to listen to RFK
Junior's voice at a presidential debate.I mean, I guess I'm okay with
that, Daniel. The super delegatesis a very important point that you mentioned.

(28:45):
They created this this you know, super person for the sole purpose of
weighing the ballots so that their preferredcandidate would win. There's nothing democratic about
a super delegate. It would besaying, you know, we all get
to vote once, but certain peopletheir vote counts for three. That's not
the way quote unquote democracy works. But this is what the Democrat Party did.

(29:07):
And now the Democrat Party looks alittle bit more like the English parliamentary
system, where the party itself choosestheir leader and they say, hey,
look, you vote for us,We're going to tell you that David Cameron's
going to be our guy and he'sthe Prime minister. Well that's what the
Democrats are saying, like, justvote for the Democrats and you let us
decide who will be the president, who will be the vice president. But

(29:30):
you know they're going to be There'sa lot of problems that they're facing,
not just in terms of president andvice president, but tight Senate races and
tight house races. Are backtracking hard. Sherry Brown Ohio, Bob Casey Pennsylvania.
What's his name in my home stateof Virginia. That shows you how
effective he is. Tim Kaine inVirginia. A number of senators, Yeah,

(29:52):
I don't what to do without TimKaine, right, Cortes Mastro.
You know, think of all thegreat things she's done in Nevada in dispense.
Well, she's up for reelection andshe doesn't want to be anywhere near
Joe Biden right now. So they'regonna lose right now, projective, they
will lose big on every single level. Yeah. If they don't make a
huge change, and they're not goingto, they're gonna be stuck with it.

(30:15):
And I love watching it happen.Oh, it's fun to watch it
happen. Yeah. And then onemore quick question for you here, because
I know this is purely speculation andwe're almost out of time here, but
Jerry Nadler's had two very embarrassing momentsin his career. One of them was
not long ago. He took adump on stage during a press conference.
He had to waddle off stage. We all remember that. But the other
one was more recently, in thepast twenty four hours. I don't know

(30:37):
how many people know this, thewaddler flip flopped. He's now back on
board with the Biden train. JerryNadler was against Biden a couple days ago.
Now he's pro Biden. What doyou think happened Jerry Nadler. When
New York lost a congressional seat inthe census in twenty twenty two. Nadler's
district and Carol Maloney's district merged, and they said it can only be one

(31:00):
of you. Do we go withthe female or do we go with Jerry
Nadler. And Jerry Nadler said, screw you. I am not giving up
my seat. I am Jerry MF. Nadler. And I have a feeling
that Biden and company did everything theycould to keep Carol Maloney from losing that
primary, and she or to makeher lose that primary, and she did,

(31:21):
and Carol Maloney is now history. So I have a feeling they were
like, hey, Jerry, rememberwhen we could have pinked you and chosen
the woman candidate, as we aredutifully bound by our DEI rules. That's
what we didn't. So that's whyJerry is getting payback for having kept his
seat in the last merger of congressionaldistrict. He kept his seat and then

(31:42):
he took a dump. That's reallysad for him. Hey, I he's
not Jerry Nadler. He has nottaken a dump on live TV. He
is Daniel Turner from Power the Future. Power the Future dot COM's the website.
But if I were you just hopon X follow Daniel Turner. If
you work in oil and gas, you'd be glad you did. He's a
great resource for information. Kamala Harrisdeserves to be vice president like Elvis deserved

(32:04):
as black belt in karate. Whata hunka hunka burning crab. This is
Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness. CheckCEP Michael Moore. Michael Moore is calling

(32:25):
upon President Biden to step aside, step aside from the pastry bar, because
Michael's ready for fifths. Guys,Hi, I'm Kenny Webster. Welcome to
another segment. You know we're notdone this afternoon. We still got one
more to go. I always liketo stop at least once a show and
check up on what is happening inTexas news. And often is the case
that our state political news correlates.I mean, there certainly is a lot

(32:47):
of overlapping with what's going on inWashington, DC today, no different from
any other day. Let me askyou, guys a question, and I'm
sure if you listen to this radiostation, I already know how you're going
to answer it. Should non citizensbe allowed to vote? If you're not
a citizen? Should you? Imean, what is the point of citizenship?
What is the point of it payingtaxes, owning property? I mean,

(33:10):
you don't have to be a citizento pay taxes or own property.
There are plenty of ways to legallyor illegally do both of those things.
But what about voting. Surely votingshould be one thing in which only citizens
could participate. Well, it turnsout Ken Paxton, our Attorney general,
Congressman ship Roy, Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur, and Joe Biden all

(33:35):
have different, varying opinions on thisissue. In fact, most of the
people I just mentioned to have oneopinion and Joe Biden has a different opinion.
Here to give us the latest onthis, it's my but good buddy
Brandon Wiltons of Texas scorecard dot Com. Brandon, tell us a little bit
about what what are we calling thisthe Save Act? The Save Act?
Yeah? So what is this one? Stand for safeguarding American voter Eligibility Act?

(33:58):
I think it's a rule of itin Congress, every every bill has
to have a fun little acronym. And so this one is the same act,
but it's actually pretty simple. It'sit's by represent Chip Roy from right
here in Texas, and it saysessentially that, you know, in order
to vote, people need to provideproof of citizenship and then it's got some
specifics on how exactly state election authoritiesneed to do that. And the outpouring

(34:22):
of opposition from Democrats has been amazing. You would have expected that they would
have been against this, but thefact that you now also have Joe Biden
or whoever's speaking for him at thegiven moment, saying that the Biden administration
is against it, that they're goingto veto it if it makes it to
his desk. This is this ispretty common sense stuff. I mean,

(34:45):
you even have, like you mentioned, Elon Musk out there saying that how
could anybody vote against this or evencompared voting against that to treason? Treason?
What did he say about treason? He said, he said that this
is trees caps treason. Uh andwhat was the penalty for treason? Again?
And sort of left it open there. But you know, it's a

(35:07):
pretty wait, wait, wait asecond, Wait a second, Brandon,
what is the punishment for treason, now that you brought it up, well,
it's it's punishable up up to death. That is my understanding. I
think it's a hanging, a goodold fashioned get out. Now, we
made hanging illegal lynching, they callit, right, that's uh, you
can't do that even if the personis convicted of a serious crime. But

(35:29):
yeah, we used to kill peoplewhen they would turn on the government.
Elon Musk raises a great point. What do you think would have happened if
you made that point on Twitter?Well, I don't know. You know,
it sort of hit or miss. You see people get blocked and banned
all the time. But I guesswe're near the CEO or whatever his position
is right now in X you getyou get a pass. That's okay.

(35:50):
The point that he's making, Ithink is a good one, which is
that, you know, how couldyou be against this and be somebody who
cares about this country? You know, literally right or left? Why would
you want people who aren't citizens involvedin our elections? Now, I'm happy
to play white devil's advocate because Idon't really have a choice. So I
asked this question, Well, otherthan cheating in elections, trying to rig

(36:12):
an election. What is there anypoint Democrats are making about why they think
a non citizen should vote. Imean, how are they communicating this without
sounding like they're just trying to rigelections? Well, it's the typical it's
the typical uh, you know, leftist talking points against anything that would safeguard
elections. Essentially, it says they'resaying that it would do nothing, that

(36:35):
it would make it harder for Americansto vote, that it would you know,
it be a strain on the peoplewho run elections. I mean literally
just to just to present, youknow, some sort of have some sort
of proof of citizenship in order tovote. And so it's the predictable sort
of talking points that we're seeing comingfrom the Biden administration and coming from House
Democrats as well. I mean,we basically already require citizenship to vote.

(37:01):
I mean it's basically, I mean, what we do, we literally figurative
with all those things, We certainlyrequire people to be a citizen to vote.
So all this law really does isjust cement a policy that already existed.
I don't really see how this makesit harder to vote again, you
know, I'm trying to just playdevil's advocate, or what makes it harder

(37:22):
to vote about being a citizen ifthat was generally already the rule. I
you know, I don't know.I mean, like I said, this
seems pretty straightforward to me. Butof course it's not uncommon to see Democrats
and this administration in particular, goingagainst any sort of effort from Republicans to
safeguard elections, especially just a fewmonths away from our elections here. All

(37:45):
right, So while we're on thetopic of citizenship and illegal immigration in the
border, certainly all things that willbe affecting the election this November, and
no doubt issues that are on thetop of the mind of Texas voters.
One has to wonder the evolution ofthe talking point kids in cages? Where
are we on that right now?Because it was Obama who built all those

(38:06):
bordered detention facilities, right it wasyou know, a modern day Ellis Island,
if you will, and then Trumpgot blamed for their existence. In
fact, I remember when Trump waspresident, they were posting photos of kids
in the cages and blaming Trump forit, and they were photos that had
existed for years. Our friend Breitbartsenior editor Brandon Darby actually is one of

(38:27):
the people that called out CNN inthe Washington Post for publishing these photos that
we that were from the Obama administrationblaming Trump for the presence of children locked
in cages at our border. Thatyou guys just published a report that the
Wall Street Journal also published about theBiden administration and how they're treating illegal alien
kids. What's the latest on that. Yeah, I think you remember there

(38:52):
was what aoc went down to theborder. There's that, you know,
a picture of her sort of cryingcrocodile tears and front one of these facilities.
Well, and in front of aparking lot. No, no,
it was in front of a parkinglot. Brandon that fence she's standing in
front of. You could walk aroundthe fence, but in the photo it's
deceptively it was a cheap fake. You might say there was a cheap fake.

(39:14):
Yeah, to use a phrase theyou know not only you know?
Is there no outrage from the lefton the fact that you know that's still
happening. Of course, but myadministration is taken to another level where they're
releasing these people, and in thiscase is they're releasing unaccompanied I legal alien
children and putting them in unsafe households, literally households with criminal records. This

(39:39):
is a Wall Street Journal report. At one holding facility near La more than
one hundred children were sent to livewith temporary guardians previously issued denials by case
coordinators. So what that means isthat these are people who were denied for
you know, having any sort ofyou know, in this case, it's
sort of like you know, afoster environment. They were denied because criminal

(40:00):
backgrounds, and yet we're going tosend these illegal alien children to go live
with them. And so, youknow, a bad situation all around.
But you've see very very little outragefrom the left, if any, when
it comes to this sort of behavior, which is which is what's happening every
day. Yeah, it's just asbad as it sounds, huh. All
right, So on the topic ofkids and protecting children, we go from

(40:22):
the border to tention facilities to carolisd. Carol iss D has a lawsuit
against the Biden administration regarding Title nine. And I got to think most people
already know what this is about. The liberals in the twentieth century cared about
women in sports. The liberals inthe twenty first century most certainly do not
care about women in sports. What'sgoing on right now? This is a

(40:44):
federal this is a Fort Worth Federalcourt that is presiding over this case.
Can you explain the details of itto us. Yeah. Essentially, you
had the Biden administration coming in sayingthey do this rewrite of Title nine allow
to allow men and boys in femalespaces and in school and so totally changes

(41:06):
the meaning of what Title nine weresupposed to protect, which was protecting sex
based discrimination and education. So you'vehad a couple of different ongoing lawsuits.
The law is supposed to go intoeffect or the new rules I should say,
we're set to go in effect onAugust. First, that's been delayed
as you have one lawsuit filed byTexas and at Terey General Ken Paxton that

(41:28):
has put that law on hold asit makes its way through the courts.
And then you have another where youhave a school district up in the DFW
area, Carol isd which is suingthe Biden administration against the same thing.
They just had their court hearing thisweek. They're expecting a ruling coming out
in the next coming weeks. Butit certainly looks like this is going to
be shot down, that this Bidenadministration attempt to allow boys and female spaces

(41:53):
is going to be struck down bythe court. Yeah, I mean,
look, these rules have existed foryears and everybody agreed that this was the
right way to go, that itwas important to defend the rights of women,
right up until about nine months agowhen the Democrat Party finally decided they
hated women almost as much as theyhate white people. And so here we

(42:14):
are with this nonsense again. Idon't know, you really got to wonder
when does this is At one pointDemocrats actually thought we needed to secure the
border, and then they didn't.Right, At one point Democrats actually thought
illegal shouldn't be allowed to vote, and then they didn't. It makes you
wonder if they'll change their mind aboutthis policy based on what's convenient for them
in the near future. Yeah,it's just exactly and it just shows you

(42:38):
there's very little principle when it comesto what the left and when the Democrats
are pushing, and what they're fightingfor and what they're fighting against. Right
now, all right, we gofrom Fort Worth is that where caroliasda is
down to Austin. We've got anew superpack everybody. It's called the Save
Austin Now pack. What is it, Well, they've been around for a

(43:00):
little while. Save Boston Now isa group that fought back. If you
remember a few years ago, Austinwas fighting back against the city council who
essentially, the city council had liftedthe ban on public camping, which essentially
meant that homeless eco could set upshops, set up tense cities wherever they
wanted to, in public spaces, literally in front of your house if they

(43:22):
wanted to. This problem got reallybad a few years ago. Voters then
actually passed a proposition to overturn that, to put in the homeless camping back
in place. And yet what we'veseen is that the city has done very
very little to enforce that since thatproposition passed all the way back three years

(43:43):
ago in twenty twenty one. Andso they've got a radio ad running right
now where they're calling on the ThirdCourt of Appeals to issue a ruling.
This comes after the Supreme Court recentlyupheld the rights of cities to enforce bans
on homeless camp This is what wesaw. I think that decision came out
last week or the week before, and so essentially what we have is,

(44:07):
you know, a surprise, surprise, the City of Austin is not doing
the job even as voters have pulledthem. Voters in the liberal city of
Austin have voted to say no,we don't want homeless encampments all around the
city, and the city's still draggingtheir heels on it. Hey, one
more question for you, and thisis just a f had a funny experience
fourth of July weekend, fourth ofJuly. I'm in San Antonio with some

(44:30):
friends. I'm meeting at a steakhousedowntown. I run into Congressman Henry Quaar,
very controversial Democrat who's considered to beconservative when it comes to border issues,
and he was recently indicted back inMay for taking six hundred thousand dollars.
They claim he took bribes from theAzerbaijan government or I can't even pronounce

(44:50):
that. Nobody's even heard of itbefore. One of my station mates,
Jesse Kelly, Jesse Kelly, oneof the smartest people I know in political
media, thinks the only reason whyHenry Quaar is being investigated is the only
reason that what's his name? Themayor of New York City is being investigated.
Is because both of them criticized JoeBiden for his border policies. Do

(45:12):
you do you believe that? Oh? I think so. I mean,
not to excuse anything that Henry Quayaris alleged to doing, right he's accused
of doing, and I don't know, you know, if it's true or
not. But it is also notlost on me that I think there's more
than the other four hundred and youknow, forty five members of Congress and
then the ad in the Senate. It's not lost on me that maybe a

(45:36):
lot of these members are more thanat least more than one is guilty of
this. And it's interesting that theydecide to go after somebody who's been a
vocal opponent of what the Biden administrationhas done on the border. And so
yeah, I read, you know, I look at this and I have
the same reaction, which is thismay be very bad and he may be
guilty of this, and shame onhim, right, But it's also very

(46:00):
interesting that they decide to go afterhim, him for whatever it's worth,
him and his wife very nice people. I told them that, I said,
look, I may not agree witheverything you've ever done, but I
like the work you've done on theborder. And I told him I was
a Republican and then he told me, yeah, it's weird. Republicans are
nicer to me than Democrats. Itook a photo with him and posted it
to X. Anyway, you shouldfollow my buddy Brandon Waltons on X.
