Speaker 1 (00:00):

suit of having and US on your radio toile, just
as cheeseburgers a living it fries at the food.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Hi, greetings kids, Thanks so thanks so much for getting connected.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Great to be here with you.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
I didn't It's like I'm surprised that my own show
just started.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I didn't have the.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Camera ready, I didn't have my notes on the screen. Yeah,
there's notes on the screen. We're not just winging it here. Okay,
I'm a little bit just winging it. But thanks so
much for getting connected. Kenny Webster, You're live on KPRC
nine fifty this afternoon, live streaming right now. On social media,
you can always get connected with us. We're on book
face and the Tube of Us and the Twitter. Twitter
(00:59):
is the only place, is the only place where we
don't really get censored. So who knows if these videos
will even remain on the other places. But this afternoon,
I have some great guests on my afternoon show.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
As always.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Kenny Webster's Pursuit of Happiness could be heard on KPRC
nine fifty and ninety four five three HD in Houston, Texas.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Guests this afternoon include Chad Prayther. Maybe you've heard of him.
He's a pretty funny guy.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
He's getting canceled by the woke mob from a comedy club.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
He'll tell you the story.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
And then my other guest this afternoon, Corey DeAngelis probably,
I mean probably, he's definitely the leading advocate for school
choice in the country. If you live in a state
or a city where you have child school vouchers, child
tax credits for school, it's probably Corey DeAngelis the guy
you should be banking.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
So anyway, we'll get to all that real soon.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
But we have just learned Donald Trump he is planning
yet another rally, his first rally in the aftermath of
the botched assassination. This is Assassination Numero dos assassination attempt.
A work authorities in a suburban New York County will
host President Trump's first campaign rally since surviving a second
(02:08):
assassination attempt. They are deliving a security briefing as they
prepare for the twenty twenty four Republican candidates arrival. Don't worry, everybody,
Everything's fine. They're going to have timu levels of security.
Yet it's the dollar store budget for security. But not
to worry. It'll be what are the odds they try
to assassinate this guy three times?
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Right?
Speaker 2 (02:30):
What's that?
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Very high?
Speaker 3 (02:31):
The odds are very yeah, okay, maybe the odds are
very high that they try to do it a third time.
You notice stuff, right, You notice these things keep happening.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Over and over again. So who was it this time?
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Well, this time it was somebody that was radicalized by MSNBC,
somebody who actually went to Ukraine, spent time in Ukraine
trying to recruit people.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
People keep saying he's in two Blackrock ads.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
I'm sorry that both of the assassins are in Blackrock ads.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
That's not really true.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
This new guy is in some ad for Ukraine and
it is Have you actually watched it yet? Before I
talk about something, I should probably get the video ready
on the screen. He's in a recruitment ad for the
Ukrainian military or the Azov Battalion.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Here it is, I just found it.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Let me throw this up on the screen for those
of you that are watching me on social media. Now,
for those of you that remember, the first assassin was
in a TV ad for Blackrock, which is very unusual.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Why you know what Blackrock is? A hedge fund?
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Why does black Rock even have TV ads? Who's investing
in Blackrock? Because they saw a TV ad that almost
sounds like a money laundering scheme. Why would you buy
a TV ad? It doesn't make any sense. But anyway,
the Azov Battalion, for those of you that don't recall it,
was a white supremacist militia in Ukraine. And if you're
watching on the computer screen, this woman if you're watching
(03:51):
me on social media right now. For those of you
listening on the radio, you can't see this, but if
you're watching me on social media, there's an image on
the screen right now of a woman wearing not the Ukrainian.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Flag, but the Azov Battalion flag.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Again, a white supremacist militia became a paramilitary faction of
the Ukrainian government. That means they're like military, but they're
also police. Technically that's not even legal in the United States.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
But I digress. So this video, very odd thing.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Starts off with weird noise and it's a bunch of
people standing around protesting against Ukraine. I am grateful to
everyone goes to the events in Ukraine the world today
to everyone who understands how critical this moment is the situation.
They're flashing a lot of footage up on screen. I'm
not going to read the whole thing for you. They're
talking about the Azov Battalion every day and as of stall,
(04:42):
they're a new dead and there's a war happening, and
so they're explaining that to you.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
And then as you're watching.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
This video take place, so you're seeing protesters on the street,
people that don't like Ukraine, are people that don't like
Russia rather, and they're showing you footage from the war,
and like a lot of war propaganda films, a lot
of gory, the blood bodies that have been chopped apart,
and then you see footage of protesters and there they
are holding up the Azov Battalion flags, which are literally
(05:10):
neo Nazi flags. They have lightning bolts on them and
that sort of thing. And I don't like murder, I
don't like war, but I also don't like neo Nazis.
I'm sure most of you would probably agree with that.
And as you're watching this video, all of a sudden,
after a few moments, you see these women holding the
Azov flag, and then after a few more brief moments,
finally the camera shot gets to the guy who is
(05:33):
the assassin, the guy that trying to shoot Trump, and
it's just again, it's not a black rock video like
so many people have explained. It's just a war propaganda
film apparently produced by not necessarily by the Ukrainian government,
but by advocates for the Ukrainian government. And as you're
watching the footage appear on the screen, suddenly you see
(05:54):
the guy. I'm trying to get to the part of
the video that he's in here one I fast there
he is. Okay, I'm just going to fast forward a
little so we don't have to wait. He kind of
looks a little bit like Tim Burton's version of Captain America,
like he's Captain America with the blonde hair in the
American flag, but he looks like he's been awake for
five days on a meth binge. And anyway, how bizarre
(06:14):
that this guy's in this ad. He also wrote a
book for Iranians about how he wanted the Iranian government
to murder Donald Trump. Not a very nice thing to do,
I'm sure most of you would probably agree, you know,
don't murder.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
That's terrible.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Well, this guy doesn't think that that's a bad thing
because he sits around all day watching MSNBC's been radicalized
by the liberal media. And if you don't believe that
he was radicalized by the liberal media or by democrats,
rather look no further than some of the things that
democrats tell you on a regular basis about Donald Trump.
They actually compiled a list of some of the things
(06:48):
that were said. Here.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Let me get this up on the screen so you
guys could take a look at this. Here we go.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Kamala Harris has repeatedly said Trump is a threat to
our democracy and our fundamental freedoms. Joe Biden said time
to put a bullseye on Trump. Nancy Pelosi said Trump
is a threat to our democracy. They all basically say that.
Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat Texas lawmaker, says MAGA in general
is a threat to us domestically. And then over here
(07:14):
Maxine Waters Trump supporters preparing for a civil war.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
The list goes on and on and on. We don't
have time to read all the things right now.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Is a very long list of things Democrats have said
that would lead one to believe that Donald Trump is
Orange Hitler, because after all, that is what they call him.
So by this point, I think most people probably understand
who it was that radicalized this guy to go out
and try to kill Donald Trump. It was not only
the liberal Democrat lawmakers of our country, but also the
corporate media. And they're not going to stop until Donald
(07:44):
Trump is dead. That's the end goal. I mean, there's
a SoundBite here, a clip of Lester Holt from NBC
News basically saying that Donald Trump needs to be shot.
Hang on, this is a short clip. Let me get
this up on the screen. So he's fun board opping
your own shop when you're doing video, all flip over
to the video screen.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Here watch this. This is NBC.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
We sometimes refer to Lester Holt as the forehead. I
won't explain why. And here he is saying basically that
Trump needs to be shocked.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
Today's a parent assassination attempt comes amid increasingly fierce rhetoric
on the campaign trail itself. Mister Trump is running made
jd Vance continue to make baseless claims about Haitian immigrants
in Ohio.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
What does any of this have to do with Haitian immigrants.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Nothing is nothing to do with Haitian immigrants, which, by
the way, is another news story that they really just
tried to make a race from the news cycle, which
has worked. Nobody's talking about Haiti or Springfield, Ohio. That
was all you could talk about on Monday, on Friday,
and then over the weekend briefly there was this thing
about Donald Trump making fun of Taylor Swift and then
(08:48):
right into the second botched assassination. So now once again
corporate media out here desperately trying to make you hate
Donald Trump, and it seems to be working. I mean,
there is clip after clip that I could show you
guys on the screen right now of people in the
liberal media trying to get you to hate Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
I'm sure you saw this.
Speaker 6 (09:07):
The Palm Beach County sheriff said the protection around former
President Trump was limited because he is not a sitting president.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Do you think that needs to change?
Speaker 1 (09:15):
I do.
Speaker 7 (09:16):
Again, this is the second assassination attempt, so I think
we need to put more resources towards this, but I
think we also have to address some underlying issues that
are going on here as well. This really seems to
be the confluence of two very bad, very bad things
going on in the Republican Party. On one side, the
(09:37):
attempts to divide, to enrage the population, to put out
false rumors and misinformation.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Did you guys get what's happening here? You get what's happening.
They're victim shaming. We've seen this before in rape trials.
This is a tale as old as time. Young woman
goes to a fraternity party. Young woman goes to a nightclub,
she's wearing a skirt, maybe wearing a short, low cut blouse,
and some guy drugs her. She gets raped. Unfortunately, there
(10:05):
are a lot of examples of this happening. And so
you get to the courtroom and the defense attorney has
the victim on the witness stand, says, young lady, why
did you wear such a short skirt if you didn't
want to get raped? Why did you go to that
night club alone on a weeknight. Why did you drink
so much? These are things you say when you're trying
(10:29):
to blame the victim. So it's Donald Trump's fault. And
now for the liberal media, it actually goes so far
as to say Donald Trump's rhetoric is what caused this
to happen. And then actually running news stories suggesting Republicans
are out of line for getting outraged about this, Like, gosh, Republicans,
why do you get so mad every time we.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Try to murder you?
Speaker 8 (10:50):
They see, whenever you lose sight of the enemy, look
behind you. Yeah, that's a bad paranoia right there. Probably
brought on by a bong ripper too. Kenny Webster's pursuit
of happiness.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Hillary Clinton, I know, don't change the channel now.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Hillary Clinton says people should be jailed for spreading misinformation.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
That's what she said.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
And then yesterday we learned this guy from the Libertarian
Party of New Hampshire got a visit from the FBI
for some joke he told about how he didn't like
Kamala Harris. I'm not going to repeat the joke. It
was in poor taste, but still a visit from the FBI,
come on, seems like a little much.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
You can't help.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
But notice they are trying to criminalize speech in any
way that they can, so it shouldn't surprise anybody the
comedians are being vilified. A good friend of the show
someone I've been a fan of this guy for a while.
I think he's one of the funniest comedians around. I've
worked with him before. In fact, back in January, we
did a thing on January six called the Crowd Boys
at a local stand up comedy club here in Houston.
(11:51):
Crowdboys was a play on the militia you're familiar with,
the social drinking club they call themselves the Proud Boys.
We did a thing where called the Crowd Boys, where
we just made fun of people in the crowd, joked around,
and one of the comedians there was my buddy, Chad Prather.
Chad Prather, if you don't follow him on social media,
it means that your news feed is lacking of some
(12:12):
high quality, very funny, interesting, thought provoking content. And if
you don't know Chad, you should meet him. He's a Texan,
he's a patriot. Ran against Governor Abbitt for governor. If
you remember that, he went around the state doing a
comedy tour while he ran for governor, which I always
thought was pretty cool. He plays at honky tonks and
comedy club's a very Texan thing to do. And he
(12:35):
recently got canceled from a comedy club for the crime
of being a Republican.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Chad am I explaining this correctly.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
You know, Kiddy, First of all, thank you. I appreciate
the kind words.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
And you know, listen, I don't know that the necessaries
were being a Republican. I think it's just I got
canceled from a comedy club for being a comedian, you know,
the two places. I mean, that's just really the truth
of two places where I think when you walk through
the door, you should be expect to be a little
bit stretched and maybe even offended, as both the comedy
club and the church and both have been watered down
(13:07):
to the point where everybody wants to come in and
subjectively feel good about themselves when they leave.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
That's not the nature of comedy. It's not the nature
of truth.
Speaker 9 (13:17):
You know.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
It's in the job description to be able to mock,
to be able to ridicule.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
I mean, that is the nature of comedy.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
It is the last bastion of true free speech, to
be able to go out and express the market of
free ideas. But unfortunately, when you do that and you
get the wrong people offended, well, cancel culture comes in.
And you know, Kenny, the thing I want to I
want to remind everybody about cancel culture. There's a difference
between canceling and boycotting. Canceling is from the top down.
Boycotting is from the bottom up. Boycotting tends to work.
(13:44):
Cancel culture never works because it's like stamping out a
fire and the sparks go everywhere and just create more fires.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
So what's happening now is we had the.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
Comedy Club of Kansas City, which I've sold out many
many times, and I like those guys over there really
do have had a great experience in Kansas City, Love
the loved the Love Kansas City. But they were getting
so many emails and calls from the woke TikTok mob
that was offended over me making fun of Kamala Harris's
you know, pandering accent that she puts on every now
(14:16):
and then.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
They they they just said, look, we can't, we can't
have this show because they're going to cause us to
get Yelp reviews and Google reviews and one star ratings,
and so they said, we've got to take this off
of our calendar. Well, you know what happens, there's a
trickle effect. If you don't say something about that, now
you're gonna you're giving permission to other venues to be
able to say we're not going to have this person
in because you know it might have offended the wrong crown.
(14:40):
But the thing is the people who were calling and
sending the emails and leaving the voicemails and the nasty
grams and the bad reviews.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
Those people don't buy tickets to shows.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
So you literally punish the people who are your regular patreons,
patrons when you're putting the butts in the seats, who
are buying the tickets, buying the food and drinks in
your venue. You punish them for something that the woke
mob came after and was subjectively offended by.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Can we that is so perfectly explained? Chad? You're very
as funny as you are.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
You are really good at explaining bizarre cultural phenomenon. But
can we dissect the whole thing that they're mad at
you about for a minute. I've had this conversation with
people recently. Kamala speaks differently when she's in front of
a black audience, and it's like, all right, well, they
say that she's doing code speak.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
It's like, well, what does that mean?
Speaker 3 (15:24):
Well, biracial people speak differently in front of black people
than they do in front.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Of white people.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
It's like, well, hang on a minute, Hold on a minute.
She's half Jamaican. I'll accept that that's black. Okay, fine,
that's half black, half Indian. Is she doing an Indian
accent when she speaks in front of an Indian audience?
Speaker 2 (15:39):
I don't think she is so white? Woe.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
That's a valid point.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
So what's this.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
My mom's Italian, very Italian, lived in Italy, talks with
her hands. My dad Anglo Saxon part in Norwegian, whatever
he is. When I'm around Italians, I don't talk like
Super Mario.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
That would be insane, right.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
I'm a white, trash red nick from Georgia.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
So I try to mute that accent as much as
I possibly can and make people think that I'm a
little more sophisticated.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
But you know, you know.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
The thing is if Kamala by her own admission, listen,
there are villages in India who are praying for Kamala,
whichever Hindu god they've chosen.
Speaker 5 (16:19):
I saw a news story the other day.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
Three hundred and fifty families in this village they got
murals of her painted on the wall.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
They're in India and they're doing.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
News stories about the prayer vigils they're having for Kamala
Harris Kamala. However, she says her name her father, who
is Jamaican. I don't know if anybody's ever been to Jamaica.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
I have.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
They don't speak in southern Black accents in Jamaica. And
her father left when she was five years old. She
was raised by her distinctly Indian mother in an Indian culture.
She's been on with Mindy Kaling on cooking shows, cooking
Indian dishes. But yet you're going to go to Atlanta,
you're going to go to Detroit, you're going to go
to Pennsylvania, and you're going to become decidedly black when
(16:56):
it's convenient for you, you know. And the thing is, they
get mad at the comedian for pointing it out, but
they don't get upset with the career politician who has done,
never had a real job, for pandering to the electorate
and to potential voters.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
That is what people should be offended by.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
They should be offended by Joe Biden, whos saying you
aren't black if you don't vote for him, or praising
Robert Byrd. The Grand cyclops of the KKK is the
finest man he ever knew, or were saying that Barack
Obama was the first clean, articulate black man, or Bill
Clinton in blackface, or Elizabeth Warren who got through school
and into politics because of saying she was a Native
(17:33):
American and she's not. So where's the outrage on stuff
like that? Where's Hillary Clinton? When she goes into the
black accent and she's horrible at doing it, especially for
somebody from Arkansas, she should be better at that imitation.
But they don't get outraged at stuff like that. They
don't get outraged and stuff like that. But the comedian
that mocks it and ridicules it is the one who
gets canceled. But such is the nature that we live in,
(17:54):
in this thin skin manufactured oppression, victimized naval gazing, nosering, wearing,
purple haired eye, thin skinned but hurt pile of people
out here that live in mom's basement have never bought
a ticket to a single show or spend a dime
to help the economy. But let's crash and cancel the
guy who does it makes sense to.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Me, you know, chat, do you eulogize one grand wizard
of the Ku Klexklan and you just never live in town.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
You know, you never do.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
Let me tell you something. And I hope Robert Bird
went where I think.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
He didn't, but he was, you know, KKK all the
way through. You know, listen, these are people who build
These are people who build planned parenthoods eighty five percent
of which those clinics are within walking distance of an
urban community. Five times more black people get abortions than
white people. That's because Margaret Singer, who was also sympathetic
to the KKK, thought of him as weeds and was genocidal.
(18:44):
And yet, but you're gonna keep voting for Democrats. Kamala
Harris has never done a single thing for the black
community except keep men in California who were smoking weed
in prison longer. So you know, I don't have any
sympathy for any of that stuff. I'm gonna keep mocking her.
You can cancel me all you want to cancel me.
There's other good to fine American folks to believe in
free speech and patriotism and bleed red, white and blue
that are willing to go out there and laugh a
(19:04):
little bit too, Because, as I've told you, Kenny, that's
the nature of comedy.
Speaker 5 (19:07):
I don't give you gay straight.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
Black, white, fat, skinny male female identifies he him, she heard,
they then receive him.
Speaker 5 (19:12):
I'm gonna make fun of you.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
If I almost spend ninety percent of my time making
fun of myself, I'm certainly gonna point fingers at you too.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Yeah, you raise a great point, especially about the planned
parrohood thing. And they always build the abortion clinic in
the black neighborhoods. I don't know if you've ever heard
this before either. They always say that men are the problem.
It's men. You're a white man, that's part of why
they don't like you. Have you ever heard this before.
The divorce rate for lesbians is significantly higher than the
divorce rate for gay men. I don't expect you to
(19:41):
react to that, but that fascinates me.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Chad Oh, I'd love to react to that.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
First of all, women can't get along with women.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
You know, women when they get dressed up to go
out at night, they don't even get dressed up for
the man they're what.
Speaker 5 (19:51):
They get dressed up for the women. They are going
to be in the restaurant and they're going.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
To see them.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
They judge each other worse than anybody I've said forever.
I want to have a non sexual gay relationship. I'm
just a mail roommate. Will share the bills, we'll share responsibilities.
We don't even care if another girl comes over or whatever.
But I'm telling you that I can understand why dudes
get along in regards to that.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
But the hypocrisy is amazing, right, I mean, they want
to complain about everybody.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
This straight head, you know, the heterosexual, white Christian conservative male,
especially the ones that wear a cowboy hat like me,
were public enemy number one.
Speaker 5 (20:23):
But such as the nature of the world we're living.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
In, that's it.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
I do wonder if the rage mob that's coming for
you realizes Chad Prayther does a lot of really good work.
I don't know if our local listeners know this, but
Chad is m seeing an event for Wheelchairs for Warriors.
That's October ninth at the Clubs of Kingwood. It's right
over there in Kingwood. Wheelchairs for Warriors has got You
could get tickets, you could get a table. JP Lane's
(20:47):
gonna be there. He's the keynote speaker. Really inspiring story.
The guy almost died on an ied in Afghanistan. And
then while you're there, you get to see Chad tell
jokes and have some drinks and eat some food. Wheelchairs
for Warriors dot org is the website for that. You
got any local comedy shows coming up? Or is that
the for those of us in the Houston area. Is
that the next thing you're doing?
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (21:08):
No, well that and then and by the way, you know,
I've been on the advisory board of Wheelchairs for Warriors
for a couple of years now. They're a great organization.
And when I go do that, I don't I don't
make a dime for doing it. December seventh, we call
that my birthday show. December seventh, I'll be at docy
Dough in Spring for an annual show there. It's a
great variety show. Encourage people to get tickets, come have
dinner and hang out.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
That's a fun night.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
But no, you know what, we just we just keep
rocking and rolling. I mean, they canceled me, and I
think I've I've gotten five or six new shows books
since that one cancelation, and I won't be surprised if
more cancelations come along. But let me just say it's
fair warning to those out there. Cancel culture doesn't work.
If you do that I promise you, uh that this
fire is only gonna spread when you try to do that.
You look at everybody from Morgan Walling to Joe Rogan.
(21:51):
You try to cancel them, and they just get bigger
and bigger.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Yeah, canceling people doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 6 (21:56):
You know.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
You just reminded me of something.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Your buddy Jeff Canada is here in study the other
day performing live. How come he always smells like a
skunk when he walks in the studio. Is that the
weirdest thing?
Speaker 5 (22:06):
It's weird. He doesn't bathe. I think he smokes weed
and he doesn't bathe.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
No weed, no, not in this state. It's illegal. Chad
prey th Chad Prayther.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
If you're not following him on social media, you need
to do it. Such a funny comic. Go see him
at the Docy Dough. That's always a good show. And
of course, for those of you that have the time
on October ninth, it's for a really good cause, tax
Deductible Wheelchairs for Warriors dot org.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
You can get tickets for that as well. My brother Chad,
thanks for your time this afternoon, my man.
Speaker 8 (22:34):
Thanks Jimmy Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness where we certainly
realize we're a heart attack away from President Kamala.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
But you can't make fun of her.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
All right, French scientists are breeding cows that fartless now
if they could only do the same for their husbands,
weren't weren't. Meanwhile, fewer teams are wearing condo according to
a new report. And you thought kids today couldn't be
influenced by Nick Cannon shows what we know. Hi, everybody,
thanks so much for getting connected and turning on the
(23:08):
radio and watching this video.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
We've been talking about the shooter.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
If you haven't heard, a guy tried to kill Donald
Trump over the weekend, didn't work. People have made the
point that he must have had inside information to know
that Donald Trump was there or was going to be
at the golf course. Generally, I love a good conspiracy theory,
you know, the people saying that Kamala Harris had little
microphones or speakers inside her hearings.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
Any of these weird, kooky conspiracy I'm willing to entertain
any of it if I think it might be true.
I don't know if this one's true, though, And here's why.
The guy according to his cell phone data, was at
the golf course twelve hours before the shooting took place.
But twelve hours before the shooting took place, Donald Trump
didn't even know he was going to golf that day,
So odds. Look, Okham's razor here. What's the most likely explanation.
(23:57):
This guy's just a nutsjob. He liked Ukraine, he had
a connection to the CIA, I was connected to Iraan.
Now I'm not suggesting he acted alone. In fact, I'm
sure he didn't act alone. I just don't know if
he had inside information that Trump was going to be.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
At his own golf course that day.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
Yesterday, the FBI confirmed that they received a tip in
twenty nineteen about this guy who intended to murder Donald Trump.
Back in twenty fifteen, the FBI says they investigated the shooter,
fifty eight year old convicted felon, for a tip about
his possession of a firearm. They told us all this
yesterday at at a press conference in Miami. The head
(24:35):
of the FBI in Miami basically said, I can also
share with you that he was the subject of a
previously closed, closed twenty nineteen tip to the FBI, where
it was alleged he was a felon in possession of
a firearm, and following up on that tip, the alleged
complaint compliant was interviewed and did not verify, I repeat,
did not verify providing the initial information.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
But it sounds like he was.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
A felon in possession of a firearm and he didn't
really do anything about it, did you. Everybody seems to
have a different person to blame for this. Obviously the
guy was radicalized by somebody. I think it's pretty obvious
he was radicalized by the Democrat party. Time magazine was
actually bold enough to suggest we don't know what his
political beliefs are.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Now, hold on, let me thrust something up on the screen.
Speaker 9 (25:18):
Here.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
There's another interesting conspiracy theory. The Time magazine like knew
he was going to get shot at because a week
or so ago they ran a cover story with Donald
Trump in a golf cart that says Donald's in trouble,
and look again, Donald Trump's a golf enthusiast. I don't
know Ackham's razor. This probably doesn't mean that they knew
he was going to get shot at, at least not
on his golf course on Sunday, you never know, but
(25:41):
probably unlikely. But on the screen right now, something I
find a little more interesting. Time magazine ran this headline
yesterday quote. The suspect arrested in relation to the shooting
at Trump's golf course in Florida has been identified as
I'm not going to say his name.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
You can look it up if you want.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Fifty eight year old with unclear political ideology. Guys, he
had a Kamala Harris bumper sticker on his car. He
was obsessed with Ukraine. He wanted Iran to kill Donald Trump.
I'm pretty sure we know what political party he was.
He was in the Tea Party, isn't no, I'm kidding.
Obviously he was a Democrat. I mean, obviously he was
(26:16):
a Democrat. It's clear as day.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
That he was.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
So again, who do we blame for all this? Well,
Joe Biden had an interesting narrative on who to blame.
Let me throw him up on the screen for just
a minute. Here here's your president, Sleepy Joe, sloppy Joe Biden.
Joe Biden actually says it's Congress's fault for not giving
the Secret Service more funded.
Speaker 9 (26:36):
Do you.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
A great day? Thank god? President?
Speaker 2 (26:47):
I think he got a full report.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
So far down there, then, But one thing I want
to make clear, Yeah, for help, and then.
Speaker 8 (26:55):
I think Congress to the fond.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
Of their he Okay, okay, he says it's Congress his fault.
It's Congress's fault for not giving more funding for the
Secret Service. All right, Okay, here's why that's probably not true,
you guys. Donald Trump, as you know, second attempt on
his life here, Joe Biden is the person that doles
out resources for the Secret Service.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Did you know that? Now?
Speaker 3 (27:18):
Granted, all the former presidents need to have secret Service,
Bill Clinton's got secret service, George w but they all
have protection. I wish no harm on Jimmy Carter, But
how many agents do we need to protect him? He's
in hospice. Who's going after Jimmy Carter? If if he
has two or three agents protecting him, do you think
probably probably could cut down the budget on there right away. Okay, fine,
(27:40):
so that one probably not needing to spend a lot
of money on that. In the meantime, Joe never really
leaves the White House, never really goes in. I don't
think Joe's in any danger. Nobody's gonna hurt Joe, because
if they did, then Kamal as president, and lord knows
at least a third of the country certainly doesn't want
that to happen. But I digress. Joe Biden claims the
whole reason why this is happening is because there's not
(28:01):
enough funding for the Secret Service, which, as we just
pointed out, he's the one that decides how much funding
the Secret Service gets. But for the record, even Joe
doesn't really understand how any of this works. Do you
remember the last time this happened, Joe Biden thought Kimberly Cheedahle,
the head of our Secret Service, was a dude?
Speaker 6 (28:19):
Is it accepta believe you've still not heard, at least
publicly from the Secret Service, directing Oh, I've heard.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Sean, Oh, I've heard from him. Wait him. But it's
a woman.
Speaker 6 (28:29):
I could have you heard from her her publicly public
craft sat down in a situation room downstairs.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
It's just so great Lester Holt trying to help Joe
Biden out. It's a woman, Joe, what they put a
woman in charge of the Secret Service? That's crazy? How
long has that been going on for?
Speaker 9 (28:48):
All?
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Right, So getting back to who we blame, here. I
think there is another person. There's at least one other
person we could probably blame for this happening. I mean, okay,
as long as we're not blaming the shooter, right, No, no, okay,
it's obviously the shooter's fall. But y'all know, Hillary Clinton's
got a new book out. She's got a new book
out this week. She wants you to go check out
her new book. What's the book about? Okay, it's yet
(29:08):
another memoir? How many memoirs could there be?
Speaker 2 (29:10):
At this point?
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Apparently in this memoir she spends a lot of time
talking about how much she doesn't like Donald Trump. It's
twenty four hours after somebody just tried to kill Donald Trump,
and Hillary Clinton goes on MSNBC and says this, you know.
Speaker 10 (29:24):
Journalists should, you know, really try to achieve objectivity. And
by that, he said, I mean they should cover the object. Well,
the object in this case is Donald Trump, his demagogery,
his danger to our country and the world, and stick
with it. You know, they were merciless about you guys.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
Hillary Clinton does not think the media is hard enough
on Donald Trump. Do I need to put that list
back up on the screen that we showed in the
last segment there of all the people in the media,
all the people in the Democrat Party telling you Donald
Trump is the Hitler of all Hitler's, the Hitler is Hitler.
Whoever Hitler did a Hitler convention. Yeah, I think we
know why this is happening, you guys. But going back
(30:10):
to the first assassination for just a minute, here is
zero headge dot com today reporting with Donald Trump now
the target of two assassination attempts in two months, there
is a new whistleblower report. Yet another whistleblower report, released
by Senator Josh Holly, unveiled a series of alarming security
lapses by the US Secret Service and other federal agencies
(30:32):
during the attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The report,
based on information provided by multiple whistleblowers, highlights a pattern
of incompetence and mismanagement and inadequate preparation by agencies responsible
for safeguarding one of the most high profile figures in
American politics. So what we're seeing here from this report
(30:52):
is systemic failures, poor decision making, a lack of proper
resource allocation. As a lot of you have probably already heard,
they didn't even technical have Secret Service agents on the
ground protecting Donald Trump that day. They had people that
would normally be dealing with child crime offenders. And that's
why I was, like, not really prepared to handle a
political rally. It's part of the reason why they weren't
(31:13):
on the same radio signal as the local law enforcement.
They didn't even know this guy was up on the
roof trying to shoot at Trump until the last possible moment.
So what can we learn from all of this, Well,
the buck stops where everybody Joe Biden. Once again, I
keep going back to this point. Joe Biden or somebody
who changes Joe Biden's diapers, is responsible for deciding how
(31:38):
much resources Donald Trump's security detail has. Joe Biden is not.
It's not the head of the FBI. It's not may
Or kiss No, it's not no, it's it's not Merrick Garland.
Speaker 4 (31:49):
No.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
At the end of the.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Day, Joe Biden's office is the people that are determining
how many people are supposed to protect Donald Trump, and
the same people that tried to put him in jail
and bank him and rifled through his wife's underwear drawer. Now,
strangely are the people that have dropped the ball on
making sure he has enough security forty days out from
another major election. If you think this is the last
(32:12):
time somebody tries to murder Donald Trump, I would love
to place a bet with you on that, and trust me,
I don't want it to happen, but I do love
winning money.
Speaker 8 (32:20):
Kenny has always thought the best things in life are free, free,
plus tax. Of course, Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness. The
Houston Chronicle is so broken. It's just liberal propaganda masquerading
as a news outlet. So, as a taxpayer in the
(32:41):
state of Texas, if I want to know what's actually
happening to my money, particularly when it comes to the
topic of education, public school public education. One of the
places I go get news from his Texas scorecard dot com,
and every day you will read something on their website
that will disgust you when you realize what public educator
is you're doing with your money.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
I'm not against public education. I get it.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
I get that they're good public schools, they're good public teachers,
public school teachers. Not all of them are created the same, unfortunately,
just part of the reason why we talk about school
choice so much. I mean, listen to this Sheldon isd
third grade teacher. A teacher has just been arrested in
a gang, weapons and narcotics conspiracy. Federal authorities say they
(33:23):
caught a Garrett Elementary School teacher, Jessica Ferguson, on a wiretap,
taking part in an illegal operation.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
While at school. Now, look, it's one thing.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
If you've got a little money, you could send your
kids to private school. Maybe you got access to charter
schools in your community so you could get out of
that system. What if you can't. What if you don't
do that, What if you don't have that in your
commit It's not available to everyone. Not everybody has the resources,
Not every community has the resources. That's why it's so
important to support and encourage school choice. I don't know
(33:55):
who the next speaker is going to be here in
the state of Texas. As a lot of you know,
I'm not a big fan of date failing. But if
Dad Falen and Governor Abbott are willing to support school choice,
and Abbot certainly has been, that would be a silver
lining to the fact that we might get the same
speaker at the House back again. I don't know, I'm
(34:15):
not endorsing Dade Falin. I will say this, Whoever, the
Speaker of the House is considering the numbers right now
on who is just elected and this last election that
we just did, who's going to be going to the
next legislative session.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
It looks very likely that it will pass. But don't
take my word for it.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
My buddy Corey DeAngelis is probably the leading advocate in
the country for school choice the school If you live
in a state or a city, or have access to
a child tax credit for your public school, you probably
have Corey D'Angelis to think, especially if policies changed over
the last few years. He's on the line right now, Corey.
There is good news, isn't there?
Speaker 5 (34:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (34:53):
There is.
Speaker 9 (34:53):
I mean although twenty one so called Republicans voted against
their own party platform issue of school choice last year,
after the primaries, fourteen of them are gone. That basically
never happens in politics. Incumbents sitting legislators win their reelection
about ninety five percent of the time, meaning they only
lose about five percent of the time. In these primaries,
(35:15):
those people who voted against school choice lost sixty seven
percent of the time out of the Republicans in the
Texas House. So that's look, we now, for the first
time in Texas history, have the votes for universal school choice,
all families, regardless of background, income, zip code, being able
to take their kids taxpayer funded education dollars to the
(35:39):
school that works best for them, whether that's a public,
private charter, or home based education option. So this is
a groundswell of support. The political wins are shifting in
our favor. And look, this is even before the general election,
but it looks like we have the votes for school
choice for the first time in history Texas and Texas
(36:01):
will finally be able to join twelve other red states
that have done this in the past three years alone.
Because you know, Randy Winingarten, the teachers unions actually dedicated
my book to Randy Winingarten. She overplayed her hands. She's
the head of the AFT. They fought to keep the
schools closed. They showed parents what was happening in the
classroom through Zoom school. And conservatives in particular were not
(36:26):
happy with the left wing and doctrination and too many
government run educational institutions. They're focused more on in doctrination
than education, and so families have started to hold politicians
accountable at the ballot box. And the other good news
is Speaker Dave Feelin, for the first time that I've
(36:46):
ever seen, and the first time that the Texan News
actually reported, he included in his list of priorities going
into next session universal school choice. And guess what, as well,
seven of those twenty one survived their reelection. Of the
Republicans who vote against school choice last year, already two
of those people have signed a pledge to support universal
(37:10):
school choice this coming session. Again, the wins are shifting
in our favor, and it's because parents have become a
new political juggernaut I forced to be reckoned with. They're
the Kids Union. Basically, they're fighting for their own kids
to get a better education, and they're winning this war,
and all families are going to be better off in
(37:31):
the end because competition is a rising tide that lifts
all votes, and Texas is finally going to unleash education
freedom in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (37:40):
I love that you called it a kid's union. I've
never heard anybody describe it. Is that it's a great
response to the teachers' union, which basically acts like a
crime mob. Unfortunately, certainly doesn't act on behalf of the teachers,
It acts on behalf of the bureaucracy itself.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
I think it's very clear.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
You know, it's always interesting to me, Corey, what the
media makes big deal about versus what people actually make
a big deal about. And the media made a big
deal about the Ken Paxton impeachment. Granted that was we
never seen anything like that before, trying to get rid
of an AG on little to no evidence of any
crimes being committed.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
But that didn't work.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
And then came the election afterwards, and there was this
big conversation about people that supported the AG versus people
that didn't support Ken Paxton, what would happen to them
in the primaries and we all saw how that played out.
But interestingly enough, as obsessed as the media was with that,
as fascinated as they were by that, the candidates that
were for or against school choice actually was what voters
(38:38):
really cared about. They seem to be more interested than
that than they were about the age issue.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Would you agree that's right?
Speaker 9 (38:44):
School choice has become a gop litmus test issue and
why because people vote based on their own priorities, how
it's going to affect their family and so school choice.
If you're stuck in a school that's failing based on math, reading,
and writing, that's one thing, but it's an even bigger
deal that families have figured out over the past few
years that even if their test scores are fine, the
(39:07):
schools aren't okay. Their kids are in schools that are
indoctrinating them in ways that are not aligned with their
family's values and vote bachams set at best. We cannot
continue to send our children to Caesar for their education
and be surprised when they come home as Romans. And
so parents made their voices heard loud and clear at
(39:29):
the ballot box on Super Tuesday and then again in
the runoff elections when they held the incumbents responsible and
accountable for voting against one their own party platform, but
most importantly for voting to trap kids in schools that
(39:51):
are not working for them and to vote against giving
them opportunities to succeed. And so, look, parents care about
their kids more than anybody else, certainly more than bureaucrat
sitting in offices hundreds of miles away. So this was
this was the main dividing line in all of these races,
and the school choice candidates clearly came out victorious.
Speaker 3 (40:15):
Okay, so we've seen what the school choice bill might
look like in the past, and you know, in the
last legislative session, it never took any money away from
public school. In fact, I think it actually helped increase
education overall in the state. You think that would have
made the rhinos and the liberals and the people that
worship government happy, but not having school choice was too
(40:35):
important to them.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
What would the bill look like this time?
Speaker 3 (40:38):
It would it be any Would it be anything like
the last version of the bill.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
That we saw.
Speaker 9 (40:42):
Yeah, last time it was insane. It was a small
carve out for school choice. But the vast majority of
the bill is like seven billion dollars additional funding going
to the status quo government run school system, and they
still voted against it. That shows you that it's more
about It's more than money for them. It's also about
(41:03):
wanting to control the minds of other people's children. It's power,
and that's a corrupting force, but it's also control. We
have a lot of control freaks running the status quo
school system, not all of them, but that's why these
people voted against school choice. I'd like to say that
(41:24):
it was kind of a blessing in disguise that things
didn't pan out for the school choice advocates last year,
because in the end Abbott has signaled that that same
deal might not be on the table. Yes, it was
universal last year, but it was limited to like fifty
twenty five thousand or so kids. It wasn't everybody. Everybody
(41:46):
was eligible, but there wasn't funding for every single student
to be able to take their money to the school
that works best for them. I've seen this movie before.
It played out in Iowa in twenty twenty two, Governor
Reynolds tried to push a school choice bill. She's a Republican.
It was great, everybody was eligible, but it was only
about two or three thousand families that could actually take
(42:08):
advantage of the scholarships. Well, their Republican controlled house, well
sixty percent of the people had an R next to
their name. At least, they failed to pass the school
choice bill after easily past their Senate. Sound familiar, and
then Governor Reynolds engaged in the primaries in twenty twenty two,
got a new house. The parents held those politicians accountable.
(42:32):
They got a more conservative House, and they passed full
throated universal school choice in twenty twenty three. The running
joke in Iowa is that the Democrats probably wish they
would have voted for the pared down version of school
choice in twenty twenty two, because what they ended up
getting was was education freedom for all, which they are against,
(42:56):
which Republicans are in favor of. And this is exactly
what's happening in Texas right now. We have a more
conservative House going than we would have before, and we're
gonna have a better bill if history repeats itself. And
just if you look at the numbers, it looks like
families are going to win in the end, and the
(43:18):
apparent loss of last year was a blessing in disguise.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
And teachers will win too, because they'll be the ones
to get better jobs. They'll have more options, they'll have
more choices that could suit their family and their lifestyle better,
and more places to go. On a federal level, there's
also some good news here. Apparently the House Ways and
Means Committee just approved Hr nine four sixty two. This
is the Education Choice for Children Act. Apparently this is
(43:43):
a tax credit. It's not like a it's not free money.
It just means you get to decide how to spend
your own money, right.
Speaker 9 (43:50):
Right, It's not federal dollars following the child. It's a
federal tax credit allowing family to keep more of their
own money than not give it to the government in
the first place, and be able to use that for
kate to twelve education expension. So what this does is
it supercharges school choice that's already happening in red states,
while expanding education opportunities to families in blue states as well.
(44:13):
Allows you to have more purchasing power. Texas should and
probably will pass still pass this state level school choice bill,
but the federal bill would butcherss that effort and only
allow families to have more purchasing power. And this bill
passed Houseways and Means Committee by about twenty three to sixteen,
all Republicans in favor, all Democrats against. It already has
(44:36):
one hundred and fifty three co sponsors in the US
House of Representatives, all Republicans, at seventy percent of the
Republicans in the House. That is a lot of people
listed on one bill. It has momentum. The Senate is
expected to go to Republicans after the election. So look,
if Donald Trump can become president, school choice has a
(44:57):
real shot of getting across the finish line, even at
the federal level. This also does not conflict with the
Republican's goal to abolish the Department of Education. The Educational
Voice for Children Act is not administered or regulated by
the federal Department of Education. You can walk and shoe
gum at the same time. You can abolish the Department
(45:18):
of Education while also letting families keep more of their
own federal tax dollars and not give that to the
government in the first place. So this is a win win.
We should pass both of these things. But I'm really
optimistic seeing both of these proposals moving in moving forward
in Texas and nationally. It's a good time to be
(45:40):
a school choice advocate. It's a good time to be
a parent. Actually, just join the parent revolution, Kenny. Yes,
I'm a dad now and I'm on the front lines
fighting with the rest of the parents as well.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
I love that. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:52):
The thing that you sometimes get attacked for by people
like jeen Wu is that they say he's not from
Texas and he doesn't have a kid.
Speaker 2 (46:00):
Neither of those things are true.
Speaker 9 (46:03):
Exactly, And Gene was a total hypocrite. He went to
private school, he sent his kids to private school, and
I don't necessarily blame him for that. Everybody should seek
the best educational options for their kids, but you shouldn't
pull out the ladder from behind yourself and then fight
against school choice and education opportunities for other families. And so, look,
you know Jane was a Democrat.
Speaker 8 (46:24):
He look.
Speaker 9 (46:26):
The Democrat Party in too many cases has become the
wholly owned subsidiary of the teachers unions. You think about
Randy Winingarten's union AFT and Texas does have an AFT chapter.
Ninety nine point nine percent of Randy Winegarten's AFTS campaign
contributions right went to Democrats. It's a money laundering operation
and not to be illegal. School choice is nonpartisan when
(46:49):
you ask voters. It just so happens that their politicians
are corrupt and they're controlled in too many cases by
the teachers unions. They were listen more to politics and
power than they do to children's needs and parents' needs.
And that's another reason why we SSHTA to have school choice.
And once we pass school choice, the Democrats would be
(47:11):
wise to follow the Republicans lead and listen to their constituents,
the parents as opposed to special interest.
Speaker 3 (47:18):
Yeah, I love it, you know, Corey, I forget sometimes
you're a PhD. Technically you're a doctor. Doctor, Corey Dangelis
the book.
Speaker 9 (47:25):
