Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jack gannon government sucks. Suit of having as radio is
de us liberty and freedom will make you smile. A
suit of having and us on your radio toil Justice
cheeseburger is a libity prize at for food.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
All right. Breaking news.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Justice Sam Alito, Supreme Court Justice, reported that he accepted
nine hundred dollars worth of concert tickets as a gift
from a German princess. I didn't even know Germany and
princesses nine hundred dollars worth of concert tickets. In his defense,
the tickets actually only cost about fifty bucks. The other

(00:50):
eight hundred and fifty was a ticket master fee, so
I really wasn't that big of a gift. But I digress.
Liberals will get mad about things. Hi, Kenny Webster, thanks
so much for connecting with us. It is a Tuesday edition,
the pre Debate night edition of Kenny Webster's Pursuit of Happiness.
Awesome to be here with you on KPRC nine fifty
this afternoon.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
We are We're live right now.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
On social media while also being live on the radio,
So thank you so much for joining us. My guest
this afternoon, Brandon Walton's stopping by from texascorecard dot com.
I love this news story today, Elon Musk going to
war with Media Matters. Do you guys know what Media
Matters is. It's a anti conservative watchdog group. Really anything
right wing or patriotic or pro America. It's their job

(01:33):
to try to destroy you and they've been doing it
for a long time.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
I'm on their.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Website, which is me, me, sweet little me. Why would
I be on their web? Well, a lot of my
friends are too, so Elon Musk went to war with them,
and our buddy Brandon Walton's from texascorecard dot com as
the whole story spoiler alert, Elon one, and he's still
cool enough to let Media Matters stay on his website.
What a cool guy. Elon is also stopping by the
show this afternoon. Gene Wu stay representative. Gene Wo.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
No, no, no, he's not on the show.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
He would never take he would never accept an invitation
to be on this radio show. But his opponent is
on the show. That's Lee Sharpott. He's not a Republican.
There is no Republican challenging Gene Wu. But there is
a libertarian and that's Lee Sharp. And that's the next
best thing. So I'm endorsing Lee Sharp. I'm giving him
airtime this afternoon. He's going to be joining us in
just a little bit. But before we get to any

(02:22):
of that, this is really a show. Let's start out
this first thirty minutes of the show. This afternoon is
going to be all about tonight's debate. Tonight, well, what
the heck is going on with the debate? It turns out,
for those that don't know, two politicians stand at a
podium and one of them will defend the conservative viewpoint
while the other one does nothing and gets help from

(02:42):
the moderator to try to get elected. Guess which one's
Trump and which one's Kamala. I'm sure you probably know.
It's a ninety minute debate. It's going to be in Philadelphia.
What a great place to have a debate. Philadelphia one
of the worst cities in America, destroyed by liberal policies.
For those of you who watch me on social media,
especially those of you on X you've probably seen videos

(03:03):
before of downtown Philadelphia. The fentanyl addicts walking around like zombies,
just leaning slunched over their legs, seem to stand up straight,
but then at the waist they can't quite muscle the
power energy that they need to keep themselves upright, so
they slink over like it's like a horror movie looking
at downtown Philadelphia. Why would end the story of Philadelphia

(03:25):
from Ben Franklin to fentanyl addicts? That should be That
should be Donald Trump's whole strategy tonight. Just talk about
how much Philadelphia sucks. But I okay, maybe there's a
little more to it than that. But both candidates will
have two minutes to answer questions, two minute rebuttals, with
an additional minute to each candidate for follow ups or clarifications.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Now, you may recall Kamala wanted to change.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
The rules at the last minute so that the microphones
wouldn't be muted. She wanted to create some kind of
an artificial moment where Donald Trump could interrupt her and
then she could say, excuse me, I'm talking, I'm talking.
You know how Kamala does that the smug stupid look
that she had when Mike Pence tried to fact check
her four years ago. By the way, Mike Pence lost

(04:07):
that debate to Kamala Harris. Never forget as much as
I don't like Kamala Harris or however she pronounces her name.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
She is more of a man than Mike Pence. So
I'll leave it at that.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
But all that being said, what do we know about
this network that's hosting the debate tonight. There's a website
called NewsBusters dot org MRC Media Research Group, the Media
Research Center, and they're very objective in how they do coverage.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
What this is.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
This is a watchdog group of unlike Media Matters, they
do their watchdogging a little differently. They keep track of
things like positive and negative news coverage. And one of
the things they figured out is that on ABC News
with a debate moderator, what's his name, David Moore?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Is that I say his name Moore? That must be
fun to say. It is fun to say say it
at home or say it everybody more, that's his name.
David Moore.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Has given one hundred percent positive coverage to the Harris campaign,
and hundred percent of the stories they've done about Kamala
Harris have just been about what kind of spices she
buys and her favorite foods and music to listen to.
And ninety three percent of the Trump coverage has been negative.
It really makes you wonder what was the seven percent
of Trump coverage they did that wasn't negative spoiler alert

(05:17):
without even watching, I bet we probably know if somebody
hadn't have tried to kill Donald Trump, I bet it
would have been one hundred percent negative about Trump. So, okay,
you don't have to watch the debate tonight on ABC
News if you don't want to. You can watch it
on other networks. You can watch it on Fox. You
can even watch it on CNN if you want. And
not surprisingly, I just was looking at clips here of

(05:38):
what is going on tonight, and there's this great moment
with Scott Jennings. I don't know how many of you
guys caught this. Do you know who Scott Jennings?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Says?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Scott Jennings is, I think at the moment the only
conservative on CNN that you should give the time of
day to. And he had a great moment just yesterday
on the network where a little correction was offered about
Kamala Harris. I really to show you guys this clip
before we put One.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Of the key things that that was a takeaway from
me in the CNN poll was that the vast majority
of Americans already believe that Donald Trump's policies are way
too extremists, and that it's the vice president's policies that
are much more mainstream and in line with what the
majority of the American people value and believe. That is
what she needs to continue to focus on and how

(06:22):
her policies will match that.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
Mario Cardona, Scott Jennings, we have to leave the conversation right,
appreciate you both.

Speaker 6 (06:28):
If that were if that, can I just say, if
that were if that, if that were true, if people
believe he is an extremist, then why isn't she winning?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Why is he winning in the New York Times poll?

Speaker 7 (06:37):
Why is this race tiede nationally?

Speaker 8 (06:38):
I mean you and I both know, Yeah, if it's
a time race.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Nationally, there's one hundred percent chance he's gonna win the
electoral College. Oh okay, I'm sure you all want to
hear her smug, white lady liberal response, but you know
what she's gonna say. I want to talk about what
they just touched on their polling data. Polling data. Are
Donald Trump and Kamala actually tied? Is it really what
we think it is?

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Quick break? We're gonna answer that question right after this.
Don't go anywhere.

Speaker 8 (07:01):
Kenny Webster, the best looking dude on radio, and if
you've seen the competition, that's not saying a whole hell
of a lot.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Okay, Google, you guys know what Google is.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
We're off the air with the listeners watching me streaming
on social media. We were just talking about censorship, and
I've actually been censored on social media before, on YouTube
for making election predictions like the election hadn't even happened yet,
and I just basically explained why I thought someone wouldn't
would or wouldn't lose. It was actually, you guys, remember

(07:35):
Larry Elders challenged Gavin Newsom in the California special election,
and YouTube, owned by Google, had the audacity to take
one of my videos down in which I accurately predicted
an election result simply because I said I didn't trust
the system, the California voter system.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Imagine that.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Well, anyway, YouTube is owned by Google, and Google is developing.
They developed an AI forecaster. It's artificial intelligence to tell
you what's going to happen with the weather. Is if
that wasn't already political enough, And apparently meteorologists will still
have a job as long as TV needs idiots to
stand in the middle of hurricanes. Spoiler alert, there is

(08:13):
a hurricane coming your way if you're in central Louisiana.
It's in Lafayette, where we have a lot of listeners.
But if you watch the Weather Channel, they'll refer to
it as that land mass between New Orleans and Houston.
So anyway, the national news media doesn't know you.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Exist, but we love you. So thanks, thanks so much
for being a tree.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
If you're out there watching us in Lafayette right now,
I hope you guys are safe and dry and everything's okay.
All that being said to those of you that are
watching or listening right now, we're looking at polling data
and what is supposed to be happening here in the
debate tonight, what's going to be taking place.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I want to put some polling data on.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
The screen right now for those of you watching me
on social media if you're not watching, here's what we're
looking at, what we're being what we're looking at right now.
What's that website five thirty six? It's Nate Silver's. Nate
Silvers is one of the most popular polsters in America,
maybe the most famous pollster.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
And I don't know why, because he's always wrong. He's
a Democrat.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
He incorrectly predicted the results of the twenty sixteen election,
and in twenty twenty he said Trump was going to win,
which you know, am I even allowed to tell you that.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I still think Trump won the election? Or will this
video be taken down?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
I don't know, But anyways, this is a big prediction
for Nate Silver thinks that Trump is going to crush
Kamala Harris sixty three point eight percent to thirty six percent.
It's a pretty big whopping win for Donald Trump. He
thinks Donald Trump is going to and I hope he's right,
but I don't think he actually believes this.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
I don't look at this. I think most of this
is accurate.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
So far, Trump was way ahead of Biden, and then
Biden dropped out and here comes Kamala, and Kamala had
a little bit of momentum from first jumping into the race,
and then of course the convention and then the sugar
high of that war off. And now we're being told
that Trump is more popular again. I think Trump is
more popular, but I have a hard time believing it's
sixty three point eight percent to thirty six percent more popular,

(10:02):
which begs the question if that's not actually how popular
Trump is.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Why would Nate Silver say that.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
I think he's doing that because he wants tonight's debate
whatever happens with ABC News, probably helping Kamala Harris out
throwing her softball questions. Probably gave her the questions ahead
of time so she know what she'd be asked, so
she could rehearse for it. I think Nate Silver created
the poll to make it look like Trump was way
ahead so that after Tonight's debate they can get that momentum.

(10:31):
They could start to alter the polling data and they
could tell you, look, everyone, Kamal is more popular. This
debate went so well for her. Look, do you remember
binders full of women? Mitt Romney had this weird moment
back in twenty twelve when he was running against Barack Obama,
where he came out at a debate and he said
he was going to give all these jobs to women.
He had binders full of women. And what that meant

(10:52):
would was he had lists of qualified women who deserve
to have jobs in government.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
That's all he said. Guys.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
It's very rare for me to defend Mitt Romney. So
write the date and the time down here, but he
had a great point. He was saying, Look, there's a
lot of women out there that are qualified to work
in government, and for some reason, they just don't have
as many jobs right now in the federal branch of
our government as they should. Under Barack Obama, I'm gonna
give women more jobs, and the hope was that this
would make them more popular with women. But as you

(11:19):
guys might remember from twenty twelve, those debates were very
one sided. Who is the debate moderator that helped Obama out?
Candy Crawley was at her name. They took his comment
about binders full of women and they twisted it around
and made it sound like he was some kind of
a sex.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Fiend and a pervert. That's gonna happen tonight.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Trump's gonna say something, They're gonna take it out of context,
and then they're gonna run with it.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
That's gonna be there.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
You know, that's gonna be their very exciting pet prize
that they're going to get out of tonight. So expect
that moment to happen. And when it does happen, let's
go back to the pulling data here. I think that
is going to show that Nate Silver, a Democrat, is
going to have the opportunity to say, look, Trump's popularity
is going down, Kamala is going up because that has a
lot of you know, if you're really into politics, which
I assume a lot of you are, momentum is so

(12:04):
important in a political election, and that's what they're going
for now. In the last segment, we were trashing CNN
a little bit, as we often should, but CNN had
a rare moment of doing actual journalism this week.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
This never happens.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
CNN actually went and said, while we don't necessarily know
what Kamala Harris's policies are, I don't think she even knows.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
They haven't been focused group tested yet.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
We know what her policies were five years ago when
she was running against Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren and
so many other and Joe Biden and Tulsea Gabbart and
all those other people.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Are her policies anything like they were?

Speaker 5 (12:40):
Then?

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Does it even matter?

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Watch this rare moment on CNN where they actually tell
you the truth about how horrible Kamala Harris is for the.

Speaker 9 (12:48):
First time on her campaign website. A K file investigation
has uncovered meantime a twenty nineteen questionnaire, and in this questionnaire,
Harris laid out some much more liberal stances is among
them on immigration. So in twenty nineteen and what k
File found, she said she would cut funding two ICE,
writing quote, our immigrant detention system is out of control,

(13:10):
and I believe we must end the unfair incarceration of
thousands of individuals, families, and children. I was one of
the first Senators after President Trump was elected to advocate
for a decrease in funding to ICE.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Let's pause it real quick because the interesting part hasn't
even come yet. But isn't it amazing this policy she
had about open borders and she's already walked that back
this week. I noticed one of the people in the
comment section watching me on social media right now said
save the ducks, John. I think that's hilarious, Like, why
are liberals out defending Haitian migrants. Didn't they just get
done telling us at the convention a couple weeks back

(13:42):
that they want to secure the border, Like they don't
even remember what their policies are. But I digress. The
good part of this video hasn't even come yet.

Speaker 9 (13:49):
Well now, of course she's touting the Biden administration's executive
order to crack down on the border. K File's Andrew
Kaczinski joins me, Now, Andrew, that's pretty incredible on its
own when you're talking about what you found here on ice,
what else did you find?

Speaker 10 (14:03):
Yeah, And this was a questionnaire that she filled out
for the ACLU, And this questionnaire is really an interesting
snapshot in time of that twenty nineteen Democratic primary. Kamala
Harris was trying to get to the left of Bernie Sanders.
She was trying to get to the left of Elizabeth Warren.
And you really see that in a lot of these answers.
And I want to walk our viewers through a little
bit of what she said. Let's just take immigration and

(14:25):
look at what she said here. She said on immigration,
she made this open ended pledge to end immigrant attention.
She said she supported taxpayer funded gender transition surgeries for
detained migrants.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
She also said, I'm sorry, taxpayer funded gender transition surgeries
for detained migrants.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
You guys, realize what just happened in California. They just
had a bill in California that passed that said we're
going to give houses to illegal immigrants. And Governor Gavin Newsom,
who's probably still kind of low key running for president
right now, actually vetoed it just last weekend. I was
in California last week and when this happened, gender transitions
for illegal immigrants is in the insane position to take. Obviously,

(15:10):
that's not gonna get you elected to be president right now.
But here's the question too, does it even matter? Does
it even matter what she supported four years ago? Does
it even matter? I don't know that it does. I
don't know that Democrats care that much. I don't know
that they care that much about policies at all. They
care about vibes, right. I mean, clearly, we're not trying
to win over Democrats. Democrats have already made up their mind.

(15:31):
We're trying to win over independent voters. That's what this
is all about tonight. So we're trying to win over
independent voters. And it doesn't really matter what Kamala supported
four years ago, which I think it does, but they
say it doesn't, Then what exactly does she stand for
right now?

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Cringe?

Speaker 3 (15:46):
John Pierre actually just did a pretty big favorite to
Donald Trump, the assist with this little statement she just
made about Kamala Harris owning all of Joe Biden's policies
for Vietnam.

Speaker 11 (15:58):
Look, I think it is important for Americans to know
that the Vice President has played a very big role
in the success of this administration over.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
The last three and a half years. Uh huh.

Speaker 11 (16:11):
And we have said this before, even before July twenty first,
how much of a partner she's been a critical partner.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
It is a critical partner. She owns it all.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
You guys know what happened today, right the Gold Star
families getting together and remembering what happened three years ago
when their family members were murdered in Afghanistan, needlessly murdered,
and then in response to it, we drone bombed a
bunch of humanitarian aid workers.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
I don't think we talk about that enough.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Obviously we don't talk about the thirteen service members who
needlessly died, But what about.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
The response to it?

Speaker 3 (16:39):
I said, the Biden administration is as violent as the
Obama administration, arguably the most violent presidential executive branch of
our of our lifetime. Barack Obama drone bombed more little
Brown kids than George W. Bush attacked with manned aircrafts.
It wasn't even close. Oh, that reminds me speaking of

(17:00):
speaking of George W. Bush, you know who's been helping
Donald Trump prepare for the debate tonight. She's probably my
favorite liberal or former ex Democrat. I don't know what
she qualifies as now, but Talcy Gabbard was just doing
a town hall with Tucker Carlson. How many of you
guys have seen this? I love this. Talcy Gabbard brings
up a great point, and she's the one that has

(17:20):
been coaching Donald Trump for tonight's debate.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Watch this.

Speaker 12 (17:24):
I have a very simple message for my Democrat friends,
my independent friends, those who may not be sure about
who they're voting for in this election. Dick Cheney has
just made the choice very clear. Yeah, a vote for
Kamala Harris is a vote for Dick Cheney.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
Oh my god, Is this what it feels like to
do heroin? Is this how it feels to be high
on crack?

Speaker 2 (17:48):
That is so beautiful? Dick Cheney.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
You guys just spent twenty years telling us Dick Cheney
was hitler, Dick Cheney was the devil. Dick Cheney was
the reincarnation of every horrible person from history, and now
he's on your team, and now he's on your team,
Kamala Harrison. The Democrat Party built their platform over the
last two decades strongly based on how horrible George W.

(18:12):
Bush and Dick Cheney was, and now Dick Cheney is
your guy. Dick Cheney the new face of the Democrat Party.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Donald Trump should just keep repeating that over and over
again tonight and let.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Kamala agree with it.

Speaker 8 (18:25):
Everything you've heard is a lie, well unless you heard
it from the mouth of Kenny Webster. All facts, even
the bit about it is little Kenny. Hey, Oh sorry, bro,
I mean big Kenny. You're listening to Kenny Webster's Pursuit
of Happiness.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
We'll be right back. It's average size for a guy
of my built. I'm a pretty big fan of Elon Musk. Look,
I'm gay for space. I am homo erotic for space. Okay,
that's probably didn't come out right. I enjoy space. I
think space exploration's cool. I'm not one of those guys
on the right who thinks the moon landing was fake
or I know it's the least libertarian thing about me,

(19:05):
but I think space explorations need I think it's a
good investment. I'd rather spend money on that than ship
it off to Ukraine. And I'm cheering for Elon Musk.
I am Elon Musk got attacked by a group that
yours truly has been attacked by media matters. Back before
I was the host of this popular radio show or
our morning show, as a lot of you know, my

(19:26):
job was producing radio parodies for the Walton and Johnson Show,
The Man Cow Show, the Michael Berry Show. If you
search through mediamatters dot org, which is a liberal, anti
right wing watchdog group, you will find transcripts of some
of my old parodies. Things you know isis comedy bits,
cartel groups, that sort of thing.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
And they always get the jokes wrong.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
That was what It didn't bother me that they tried
to brand me or the radio shows I was associated
with as a right wing extremist. I mean that's probably true.
I don't you know, I'm Tomato, Tomato, what do I care?
But they got the jokes wrong. That was what bothered
me the most. Brandon Walton's of Texas scorecard dot com.
Why can't liberals meme? You ever notice they do not
meme correctly?

Speaker 7 (20:10):
Oh yeah, no, not at all. And you know, I
have a sense of humor as to you. You know,
I can like him laugh at my own side. But
they don't do a good job of it at all.
It's like, it's it's almost never funny.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Tell me, if you tell me, if you've noticed this,
they'll make a meme and they understand you're supposed to
have a picture with a caption, but instead of a caption,
it's like a paragraph or something, and you like, this
doesn't This isn't how jokes work.

Speaker 7 (20:37):
Yeah, exactly. It's just like I'm gonna put a screed
of you know, whatever I'm thinking, and then you know,
I don't know, a picture of a minion or something.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
Now, some people have said the reason liberals don't get
memes is because they're all autistic and they're on the spectrum.
But that can't be true because technically Elon Musk is autistic.
He's talked about that before, and he's the meme edge
lord of Twitter, x dot com and media Matters attacked him.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
What's the story there?

Speaker 7 (21:06):
Yeah, so you know, of course Elon Musk has been
attacked constantly by the left, especially ever since buying X.
That's now, what a couple of years ago now, I think,
and Media Matters of course, this radical left organization, they
exist solely to go after to try to cancel essentially people.
I mean, we talk about cancel culture. Media Matters is

(21:29):
one of the original cancel culture people. They've been around
for years and they will find something that some conservative commentator.
Usually you know, they go after Fox News, especially Tucker Carlson,
you know, people even beyond that, and they essentially will
find some little thing and then we'll go after advertisers

(21:50):
and try to get advertisers to boycott shows. They've had
mixed success with that on television. Well, they've turned their
targets to Elon Musk. They decided to try to get
advertisers to boycott X formally known as Twitter because of
what they said, Oh there's there's all sorts of pro nazi,

(22:14):
all this pro Nazi stuff on the platform, and and
it's you know, you don't want your advertising next to that. Well,
Elon Musk, you know, they maybe picked the wrong target
because Elon Musk, unlike a lot of people, is actually
fighting back. He said that, you know, it's absolute nonsense,
and actually he just notched a legal win against Media
Matters as this goes through court. They they Media Matters

(22:38):
that tried to have the lawsuit thrown out on a
technicality and and that was dropped. And so you know,
it's nice to see somebody actually fighting back against these people.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
You know what else I love about this news story, Brandon,
despite the fact that they're trying to destroy his website
and destroy his image and b smirch his good name,
he still lets them use his website.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
They have an account on it.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
I just posted the article to this news story right now,
and I tagged Media Matters basically left wing liberal villains,
and I noticed they have an account.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
He lets him use it.

Speaker 7 (23:16):
Yeah, exactly right. You know, anybody who was essentially, you know,
a threat to liberals back whenever, you know, Twitter was
under the old regime, they'd be cossed off instantly. And
yet you know, lo and behold, go figure. You know
x is actually a place for real free speech. Bro.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
It is so cool. It is so refreshing to see that.
All right, let's talk about don Buckingham for a minute.
For those that don't know, she's the Texas Land Commissioner
and her and I have had our differences. There was
this guy with a bar A while back. Some people
may recall hearing about in San Antonio, the city in
the state wanted to take his land away from him,
Moses Roses. I believe it was called because they were

(23:58):
building some park garage for an Alamo museum with stuff
that was donated by Phil Collins. I know it sounds
like I'm just saying words like this is mad libs,
but that was an actual thing that happened, and she
didn't stand up for the guy or I remember being disappointed.
But all that being said, that's over. We've moved past it.
We've moved on to the new controversy, off shore wind farms.

(24:20):
This stuff's horrible. It's reek havoc on the Upper East Coast.
It has destroyed whales. Isn't this bad for wildlife? It's
not good for energy production. It's not good. It's really unuseful.
I don't have a problem with windmills, but I don't
want one out in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
And apparently she's against it too. What's going on there?

Speaker 7 (24:42):
Yeah, so you know, of course the Biden Harris administration
is trying to, you know, push these federal windmill farms
just off the coast and in Texas and the Gulf
of Mexico. And literally, I mean we could spend a
whole time talking about all the issues with these things. Right,
They're unreliable, they're bad for wildlife, They're actually dangerous. You know,

(25:02):
you have a hurricane hit the gulf, the last thing
you want is you have, you know, property along the
beach is one of these massive wind turbine blades, you know,
being blown over and you know, going straight through your
house or something, and you know that's a real threat.
These are made by Chinese companies. There's questions about the

(25:22):
surveillance and the security of these things. I mean, literally
the list goes on, and so link Mischard Don Buckingham
pushing back. She actually had successfully pushed back against another
proposal recently that was sort of similar, Another similar offshore
wind fund was being proposed by the Biden administration off
the Gulf of Mexico. They'd actually put those plans on hold.

(25:45):
And now, of course they're trying to get another bite
at the apple. And so you know, hopefully Texas is
able to push back against this. I mean, hopefully it'll
be moot here in a few months. Whenever hopefully we
have a new president. But in any case, you know,
I think it just goes to say, these wind farms
are just absolutely destructive on so many levels. It's hard

(26:06):
to imagine. I don't have a problem with them, like
in theory, but in actuality and in practice. I mean,
there are so many problems with them that it's just
it's hard to imagine being in favor of such a
massive project.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Same, I don't have a Look, I'm a capitalist.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
If people could find a way to create energy and
sell it at a profit, I am down with that.
That's good for humanity, it's good for the economy. But
if they have to force it on us, there's clearly
a reason why. It's probably because it's not as useful
as it's being told. As we're being told that it
is all right, let's move on to the stories you
guys have today about illegal immigration.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
There's a couple of things here.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
We'll start with this Venezuelan gang members being arrested for murder.
We're actually first apprehended in Texas. There's so many stories
about this trend. De Aragua, the gang from Venezuela wreaking
havoc on Aurora, and Doug confuse this listeners with the
story about the Haitian gangs over there in Springfield, Ohio

(27:05):
who are eating your pets and local wildlife. This is
a totally different group of migrants who are problematic for
completely different reasons.

Speaker 7 (27:12):
Right exactly this is people may have seen the story.
I mean, it's been going around, especially in Aurora, Colorado,
where this group of the Venezuelan gang has apparently taken
over an apartment complex. Well now we have, you know,
new reports that a lot of these people who being arrested,

(27:33):
these gang members, Well where did they come across, Well,
they came across in Texas. They crossed here, they were
you know, essentially allowed to go, and now they're heading
across the entire country wreaking habit, you know, even right
here in Texas. We even have another story I saw
I think we're looking to right now, but we're members

(27:53):
of this trend. Are Agua gang have allegedly taken over
a a motel in El Paso, and so you know
we're looking at that. But there's a lot of these stories.
You know, a lot of these people came across in
the last couple of years. So twenty twenty two, twenty
twenty three, when we saw those massive influxes from the

(28:14):
southern border. That's when these people were coming across. Now
that they've been here, they're starting to get you know,
kind of starting to get comfortable, and now we're seeing
the consequences of that.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
All right, hear me on a Hunger Game style fight
between the criminal Haitian migrants and the criminal Venezuelan migrants
to raise money for charity. Dana White can market it
will sell pay per view style subscriptions.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
Brandon, what do you think.

Speaker 7 (28:41):
That sounds good? Just I guess leave the cats and
gooses at home, so you.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Know what you are fair? That's a fair point.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
You guys have a report today about the actual cost
of illegal immigration.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
I'm so old, Brandon.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
I can remember Democrats saying they didn't want to spend
billions of dollars to build Donald Trump's wall, But now
this is actually costing US hundreds of billions. The wall
would have been much cheaper compared to healthcare and free
college and housing. And we're even paying for their dry
cleaning bills. I mean, good God, when does it stop?

Speaker 7 (29:14):
Oh? I know, I mean it's billions and billions of dollars.
Keep in mind, you know the FIDA administration sent four
billion dollars to Central America to try to fix the
quote root causes of illegal immigration. That's when Kamala was
the borders are there, and as we've seen, and as
we just talked about in another story, hasn't done a whole

(29:36):
lot to help.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Yeah, now you're onto something, my man, Brandon.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
I have to say, your news website is the most
high quality Texas centered news outlet on the world wide web.
And all I have to do to get access to
it is go to Texas scorecard dot com. Because you
guys don't even charge money for this, No.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
We do not.

Speaker 7 (29:55):
It's all free there Texas Scorecards. Sign up, get on
our email list. We love folks. Check it out.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
I feel like you're giving it away for free. You
should charge at least twice.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
That amount of money.

Speaker 7 (30:07):
No, no, no.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
That Texas scorecard dot com.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
Subscribe to Brandon Walton's He's on Twitter x you know,
find him on social media.

Speaker 8 (30:16):
You're listening to Kenny Webster's Pursuit of Happiness. Please, if
you're offended by anything you heard, to get a piece
of paper, write down a detailed description of what bothered
you and fects it to one eight eight eight, Nobody
gives a Friend.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
The song is called the song is called machine Gun Blues,
so rocksong from a band I used to be really into.
It's a song about gun violence, among other things, and
they glorify it a little bit. The guy that wrote
this song that it's a band called Social Distortion. There
like a lot of musicians kind of hypocritical, right, because

(30:54):
they're liberal democrats, like a lot of your favorite bands,
they probably don't agree with your political beliefs, and like,
you know, sort of like a lot of Hollywood directors
Quentin Tarantino, for example, they create art that glorifies firearms
and then they tell you you're not supposed to own a firearm.
It's weird to play that song on considering what's been
going on in the news lately, a lot of gun violence,

(31:15):
a lot of crime.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
It's not a coincidence.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
There's a school shooting just the other day, and just
as soon as we figured out the motivation of the
school shooter, they didn't want to talk about it anymore.
There's something to do with the alphabet community. It doesn't matter. Look,
I don't like gun violence. I don't want people to
get hurt, but I also don't want people to take
my rights away.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
It does seem.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
A little hypocritical that the same political party that's trying
to take your guns away cannot send enough guns to Ukraine.
The fact that we're funding both sides of every war
is another topic all together.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
I want to talk about school shootings here in the state.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
We have something called the Guardian Program, the Guardian School Program.
Now apparently it's an option on whether or not we
can use this. You have heard people talk about how
bad violence is in public schools, and Democrats will often say,
why doesn't the Republican Party do something about it?

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Why doesn't the state of Texas do something about it?
What we did?

Speaker 3 (32:15):
We have this thing called the Guardian Program, which we
don't even use in our public schools here, I mean,
not in Harris County, not in Houston at the very least.
I know I'm not the only one that understands this
here in Houston, Texas. One of the most authoritarian people
on the left who has a position in public office,
State Representative Jean Wu.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
To those of you that.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Follow me on Twitter, you know I've been arguing with
Jean on social media for a long time, the better
part of a decade. He and I aren't friends, to
put it bluntly, And Jean WU does not have a
Republican challenger right now. There's no Republican trying to go
after what is that District one forty seven? Nobody wants
no one to thirty seven. I'm sorry, nobody's trying to

(32:56):
challenge him for that position. Actually, nobody in the Republican
parties trying to challenge him. He does have one right
leaning fiscal conservative running for office right now trying to
stop Gen Wu. That guy's Lee Sharp, and he's running
as a libertarian. I am officially endorsing Lee Sharp. It
seems like a no brainer. Jean doesn't have any other opponents.

(33:17):
But also, Lee, despite the fact that maybe you're not
a Republican, has a lot of positions and policy opinions
that you'd probably agree with. So I invited him on
the show today so we could talk a little bit
about this. Lee, Welcome to Pursue a Happiness Radio. I
didn't really even explain what the program does. What is
the Guardian program?

Speaker 6 (33:36):
Well, Kenny, thanks for having me on. First of all,
I mean I've been listening for years and being on
the other side of it. It's just this is a
really nice experience. The Guardian program was something the State
of Texas did many many years ago. And if you
follow the right rules and you record the right paperwork,
and you do the proper things and get the proper training,

(33:58):
it allows staff the school to not have to disarm.
It doesn't encourage anybody. It's not arming teachers, it's not
forcing anyone to do anything. It just allows staff that
already carry and already have a license, and already our
gun owners to not leave their gun locked in the trunk,

(34:18):
which you know, we've seen what happens in those situations.
And as far as I know, and I've looked into it,
there's never been a school shooting at a Guardian school
because well, you know, there are people that are armed,
and you don't. They don't. You don't have to advertise
it or you can. But I have a picture of

(34:39):
myself in front of a bunch of school signs that
say warning, these staff at X school District are armed
and will use whatever force is necessariary to protect our students.
And in the past couple of years, rural school districts
all over Texas have been going Guardian for you know,
obvious reasons. And I have a real vest an interest

(35:00):
in this. My wife is a teacher at Wisdom High
School and I've had some very scary experiences where she
texts me we are on lockdown and then immediately don't
come here because she knows I will. But it's terrifying.
And yes, I want to stop school shootings, but of
all the things we've tried, there's only one thing that's

(35:22):
worked now. Admittedly, the number of Guardian schools is very small,
and so statistically it doesn't say if we all go
Guardian it will prevent school shootings. But boy, wouldn't it
be nice if more Guardian schools were in the pool
so that we would know for sure, yes, this works,
because right now it's the only thing that has shown
any promise.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
All Right, it sounds like you're being very objective.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
I appreciate that you're considering that there's more than one
perspective here.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
There's more than one way to do this.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
But I remember when we passed Campus Carrie, the legal
right for college students to carry guns on college campuses
all over the state of Texas, and I've noticed we
haven't had any mass shootings at college campuses in Texas
since then. You don't hear about that happening. It's happened
in other states, it certainly hasn't happened to here.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
So thank god. Now I know you're. One of the
reasons that you're running.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
For the office of State Representative for District one thirty
seven is because you're one of the constituents of jeen Wu.
Have you gone to him to talk to him about
your positions on this? Have you tried to talk to
him about the Guardian program?

Speaker 6 (36:25):
Actually, what really started off my relationship with with my
opponent was when a whole bunch of subsidized housing was
going into the district and a bunch of people were
protesting a few of these because they were just not
the ideal place to put in subsidized housing. One was

(36:45):
a large apartment complex that was sandwiched between a neighborhood
and a private school, and you know, just a lot
of people in the neighborhood didn't like that. Everybody went
to Gene and said, hey, we don't I don't want
you to support this, and instead of listening, he said,
oh no, but you know, they're going to put it somewhere,
so shouldn't we have some say in what? And he

(37:07):
always supports the subsidized housing, regardless of what neighbors say.
And then he tells you that no, you really you
should be supporting what he's doing. Your opinion isn't correct.
And the first time that happened was when I said, oh,
we got to get somebody else, and I looked around him.
There was nobody else.

Speaker 7 (37:24):
You know.

Speaker 6 (37:24):
It's kind of like I don't really want to clean
the garage, but the garage has to get clean, and
nobody's doing it. And so that's why I'd stepped up
and decided to run. And this isn't my first time
running against him, but but I'm going all in this time.
Before it was more of a protest option, and it
was somewhat effective. Even a lot of democratic programs that

(37:48):
Democrats support, he wasn't speaking on until all of a
sudden there's a libertarian running and saying, you know, why
are you against medical marijuana?

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (37:57):
Wait? You know.

Speaker 6 (37:58):
So it's not just that he was a bad representative
to me. He was a bad representative even to the
Democrats that have supported him.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Yeah, imagine that but I've noticed Lee that Democrats don't
seem to mind that their representatives are bad. So, as
a guy that's challenging him right now, a third party
candidate challenging him, although it's the only alternative, how do
you convince Democrats of that?

Speaker 6 (38:20):
Well, I think a lot more mind than want to.
But and this is one of my own pet piece,
I think the biggest thing hurting the Democratic Party in
this country is vote blue no matter who sure, and
the equivalent on the Republican side, because if we support
bad candidates in our own party, then we will continue

(38:43):
to get bad candidates. The best place to stop them
is in the primary. And I feel the same thing
about libertarian candidates. If there's a libertarian candidate that makes
it into a position that I don't think will do
a good job, I will not support him because I
want my party to be the best can be, And
anybody who starts looking at what gen Wu is actually

(39:04):
doing realizes he is not the best that the Democratic
Party has to offer. It's just bad.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
You know.

Speaker 6 (39:16):
He signs onto any bill that fits the narrative that
he wants to say, and so that he can say, look,
I signed onto all these bills, but the things he
actually does are are not really serving the district.

Speaker 3 (39:30):
All right, So let's bottom line me here. You're a libertarian,
but you're obviously leaning to the right. You know, easy
to figure out if you listen to this radio show.
Your pro gun, your anti war, your pro capitalism, your
anti taxes or at least lower taxes, certainly anti government censorship,
I would imagine, even though our most conservative listeners probably

(39:50):
agree with you on a long list of issues, certainly
way more than they'd agree with far left authoritarian state
representative Jean Wu. So do those that do get to
vote in District one thirty seven or just people that
live near District one thirty seven if they want to
offer you some support. I'm assuming a donation doesn't hurt,
but you probably need volunteers too. How can people get
involved in your campaign?

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Lee Sharp?

Speaker 6 (40:13):
Okay, I have a website www dot leewsharp dot com.
I'm on x at leew Sharp, and I'm on Facebook
at Lee W. Sharp. Admittedly I have not been doing
a lot on Facebook because it's just, uh, it's just
a horrible thay. Do you remember when we had a
political season instead of political all the time? You know,

(40:38):
it's just it's much great.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
No, No, it's it's such a thing possible. I thought
everything from cheetos to professional football had to be political
these days. But Lee, you're doing awesome man. I want
people to follow you on Twitter. I know you don't
have a huge following yet, but look to people in
District one thirty seven. I don't really think they have
a choice here, Lee than sharp. I appreciate your time today, brother,

(41:01):
Thanks so much for coming on. Any closing thoughts, Thanks
for having me.

Speaker 6 (41:06):
Just by the way, you were talking about choice. The
school choice argument that we're having. It kind of confuses
me because we have charter schools, so we have some
school choice, and so it's not a black or white issue.
It's just a do we want to take another step
or not? Yeah, you know, public private partnerships work and

(41:28):
the charter schools work. So why if a charter school works,
does a private school not? Or why do we need
the private school if we have a charter school. Both
sides are taking this so extreme when we have a
middle ground already. Why are we fighting so much about this?

Speaker 3 (41:43):
You don't understand Lee, like choice, Lee, if you went
back ten or fifteen years it was actually black democrats
around the country like Shila Jackson, Lee and al Green
and all these other characters that were leading the charge
on school choice, and then school unions got to them.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
Teachers' unions got to them.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
The same people that oddly enough advocated for those what
is it the satanic drag queen nuns to recently perform
at an LA Dodgers game. It's the same group of
people that are now giving money to democrats to be
against school choice. It's weird how some of these things
are connected. But anyway, we could do a whole nother
hour on that. Lee Sharp stay Representative for District one

(42:20):
thirty seven.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
I'm Kenny Webster.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
I want to thank for Lee for stopping by today,
as well as Brandon Waltons from Texas scorecard dot Com.
