My guest is composer, producer, trumpeter, Dave Painchaud out of New York. I’ve known Dave since the mid 80’s as we both came out of Berklee College of Music in Boston together and am a big fan of his work where he “mashes electronic, ambient, orchestral and jazz music in unusual ways”. He not only plays trumpet but the flugelhorn and mellophone as well. His work can be heard in a variety of places on the internet and he’s also the host of his own show “Harmony of the Spheres”.

Today Dave and I will talk about being an Independent Artist, his podcast “Harmony of the Spheres”, his CD “Tales Told And Journeys Imagined”, the gear he uses, his thoughts on the Music Modernization Act, and more…

We also briefly talk about the Presonus Firestudio Project Interface, Sony Acid DAW, Rokit Studio Monitors, and PCAudioLabs.

His website is https://www.mellobrass.com
