I'm very excited to be here and thank you. Thank

meaningful conversation.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Um, I'm excited to be here because we're gonna talk
about performance, fit and money and entrepreneurs.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
I'm great, y'all get ready for this.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
So before us, before I start the podcast, what I
want to do, let me let me let me tell
you who she is.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
I'm gonna let me let me tell you about her background.
So DEDI is a founder.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
She's the founder and performance coach of Fit for Profit,
a company that utilizes psychology, cognitive science, holistic wellness, and
business to help entrepreneurs get mentally fit to obtain peak
level of performance in their businesses. Okay, ladies, how many
of y'all could use that we all could use that.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
That.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Oh, she's speaking my language all ready.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
With over seventeen years of experience in running her own businesses,
not one, plural businesses in the brick and mortar health
and wellness industry, did he married her love for their
living and optimal lifestyle and business to create fit to profit.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
She believes that a woman deserves to have it all. Yeah,
we all want it all.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
We wanted all, Dedie, tell us how we can have
it all today, and she's on a mission to empower
women entrepreneurs to create financial free and to build the
wealth from the inside out.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Needy, Welcome, Welcome, Let's get right into it. Where would
you like to start?
Speaker 1 (02:10):
As a matter of fact, let me ask you, how
did you come up with fit the profits? Tell us
a little bit about that. I love that to tell
us about that. Tell us the short end story of that.
Come on, tell us about it.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yes, No, I love the question so much and it's
the meaning of it has everything to do my personal journey, Okay,
feeling myself physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially, all from
coming from nothing and having to learn to overcome my
own barriers and challenges and of course when I launched
(02:43):
my business was in the moment of.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
You name it, despair.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
I mean, I just discover unexpectedly and also tragically that
I was suffering from depression and anxiety from losing my
best friend. And fit to Profit was born from that
pivotal moment of when I realized that I need to
heal myself. And that's why I'm talking about really building
(03:12):
wealth from the inside out.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
From that sense is that.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Because of my personal journey, and fit to Profit is
exactly that taking care of yourself on the inside out,
ensuring that you are the CEO and you are taking
care of yourself on all levels.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yes, so did you let me ask you, what was
the pivotal moment?
Speaker 2 (03:33):
What was that pivotal.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Moment going back then, going back to that space after
this encounter, this traumatic experience that you have. What was
the pivotal moment that you decided, you know what, I
can help other women. I'm going to create this business.
What was the turning point there?
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Yeah, the turning point was losing my friend and realizing
that everything I did up until that point, having had
my businesses, meaning I helped my moms run salon businesses
and we had a restaurant together.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
All break and mortar.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
I was actually doing all of those things for everyone else.
I was working on fulfilling other people expectations of me
and how it should be.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
And then what was the result. I got burnt out
and until I really started healing myself. That's when I realized.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Wow, okay, things have to change and I'm going to
have to start doing things my way.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
And that was the beginning of it all.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
So how did you take that and strategize and package
and then put that into a business.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Tell us those steps.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Yeah, So what was really interesting is when I first
started taking care of myself. You know, I got into
taking care of myself physically, meaning start exercising again long
distance running, which led me into yoga, practicing mindfulness, and
then got certified to be a holistic health coach. So
I honestly just basically follow but the breadcrumbs they call it, right,
(05:12):
the little baby steps.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
That I knew how.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
And when I launched my holistic health coaching business, interestingly,
no I wanted to buy my holistic health package. However,
what they did want to know was how did I
start my businesses from scratch?
Speaker 4 (05:29):
So I just basically fell.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Into business development new enough the first three year serving client,
what I realized we were talking about strategy and tactics,
and yes, they had great moments of momentums, but then
at the same time there was always the down valleys,
right like the peaks.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
In the valleys.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
And when we got real with the conversations where I
found out that my entrepreneurs, especially women entrepreneurs, they were
not taking care of themselves. And when you are not
taking care of them yourself on the personal level, your
business basically anything that's not working out, or if your
business is not consistent or you're not increasing revenue is
(06:12):
basically a symptom of you not really striving to be
in charge right of your professional health but also your
mental health, your emotional health, and physical health. And so
that is why I came up with the system that
we have now, the framework that we have now to
(06:32):
make sure that we're taking care of ourselves on a
very very mental level as much as it is with
everything else.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
And I love that because you also combine the fitness,
the fitness with that, because that's a part of that's
the whole holistic approach. So with that being said, tell
us a little bit more, how do you specifically help
women in your framework to balance the mental health, the
emotional in the physical.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
So the first first piece that we always.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Handle is the mental side of things.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Yes, so we teach we call the five success principles
that every single person has to go through really understanding
what those are, yes, and then we coach everything around that.
The second piece was defining basically your values and your priorities,
and as you know who you are, why you stand
(07:24):
for what you stand for, and why is it valuable
for other people, then we can have the next conversation
of Okay, how do we build this foundation from what basis?
And if you've heard already for us holistically, so that
means you have to define and build your self care
system mean system, because it's not something that you do
(07:48):
on a special occasion or when you like it. Yes,
the system that gets you to be operating at peak performance.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
It's a whole optimal performance. Yes, the main pillar right there? Yes, yes, yes.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
What does that self care system look like? And we
have to handle all those levels. What are you doing
with diet and exercise? What are you doing for your
emotional health?
Speaker 4 (08:17):
How is your support system?
Speaker 3 (08:19):
What are you doing on a daily basis, so that
way you have a strong mentality when it comes to
things hitting you, right, like, life happens, business happens, people schedule,
like have to reschedule because they're sick. Whatsoever.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Family happens, yes, it happens.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Grief happens, yes, it's interruption happens.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yes, And so how do you manage yourself so that way,
no matter what life throws at you or what business
is asking from you, you can still have the clarity,
the focus, and also the motivation to handle it in
the best way possible.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
Right.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
And then lastly, the fourth step in our framework is
truly learning more about yourself matching your values with your
money system, meaning how is your relationship with money? Does
that relationship need to be upgraded because you are taking
your business to the next level. Are you operating from
(09:20):
abundance and or what are your limiting beliefs around money.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
And does that need to be shifted?
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Because you know already when you are stepping into a
conversation with confidence, really understanding your value and what you
have to give right in the world in terms of
your talent and your work, the conversation is very different
than if you were stepping into a conversation like, oh,
I'm just asking for a sale.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Because that's at the end of the day.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yes, that's a tackleal side of like, yes, that's a sale,
but that's not it. It's really about the transformation that
you believe you can create.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
I love that with your work.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Keith, where that you believe that you create. This is good,
This is really really good. So you mentioned just real
briefly mental health and emotional stability and how you define
your values. You know, part of that is your signature
system there, and then really the defining the self care
you know, that's the ultimate ground pillar because without that
(10:22):
you don't have anything. And then managing the mental load.
But the self care is important because oftentimes, as women entrepreneurs,
we don't look at the whole holistic approach of our
value system and all of this plays apart.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
So let me ask you. I love the fact that
you talked about the money.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
How important is that money piece to the self care pillar,
the mental pillar, the emotional pillar, because I don't think
that if you're not clear on your value in self worth,
you won't be able to attract that high income earning
of money that you desire, So let's just talk a
(11:03):
little bit more about that.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
That's really good, absolutely, and oftentimes it's very I want
to say, it's overlooked, right because when we are talking
about business, we're let's set really high goals, et cetera,
and things like that, and there's always moments where wait,
why didn't I hit my goals? Well, it comes down to, right,
we talked about the belief. Can you really truly believe.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
That you're going to be successful?
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Right?
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Can you really truly believe that you are worthy enough
for you to prioritize yourself and take thirty minutes, forty
five minutes, however long you need to take care of
your body and your mind so that way you can
perform at the highest level. Unless we can really connect
(11:52):
to that value of us taking care of ourselves and
the ripple effects that could happen, we're not going to
be able to connect the value of what we get
to do with all work for other people.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
That's so interesting, That is so so interesting, But DEDI
sometimes that takes a deeper level of work. It's layers
to that. It's the traumatic experience to that is where
people their history, where they come from, is the stories
that they tell. It's their current their past experience. There's
levels to that.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
That's really a deep work.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
If you if you can share us a quick client
testimonial story, maybe someone that you helped to overcome their
shattering belief about money and their self worth and how
then they were able to get on the path of
high value. Can you share a quick client testimonial if
(12:49):
you will?
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Ay, absolutely so.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
When Melissa came to us, she's a long term client.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
She's still with us. I think it's been five years now.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
She came with really understanding she wants to really help
entrepreneurs create a very professional person at the same time
personalized brand.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
And because she started as a photographer, so she felt like,
you know, anyone who has a mindset when it comes
to art, they always devalue themselves because oh I think
I am so talented with this and I would.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Do it for free.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
They have that mentality.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
Stepping into the conversation and early on she was charging
very little for her photography work, and when we got
to have a conversation around well is it just the
photos that you are benefiting like they are benefiting from
I was able to get her connected to the true
(13:48):
value of those photographs because it's not the physical photograph
that they need to for a headshot of some sort,
but it's how they feel about looking at themselves in
those photos. Okay, good. And she was able to see
that her testimonials, the clients who were speaking to her
(14:11):
about Melissa, you made me feel so comfortable under my skin,
and you made me feel so great that I was
able to crack that type of smile that I normally
don't on photos. And and so she could see that
value that she gets to create for people deeper than
(14:32):
just the physical item of this photo. These women are
feeling that much more confident about themselves going.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Out there as business owners.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
I love it. I love it.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
And so she started with fifteen hundred a package, and
within ninety days she was able to see that her
work is beyond the value that she's charging, and she
was started charging almost three times.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Oh see that's what see now, see now, that's now.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
That's a result, that's what we like to hear. And
it was within ninety days that that's wonderful, that's great.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
So your coaching programs, what's the duration of time options
does someone have when they come to your company?
Speaker 4 (15:18):
To work with you.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
That's definitely time option as well. At the same time,
it's really their ultimate goal, right if it's is it
just getting me to be really clear on my money
stories and how I can shift my money stories so
that no matter the type of conversation that I'm in
when it comes to my prospective client, I'm going to
feel confident having those conversations. Yes, that would be more
(15:45):
time bound, and I can definitely train with the ninety
days of how to have those really powerful sales calls.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
And which is the case for Melissa.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
It's like she knew that she had value, but at
the same time, she couldn't connect her value to the actual,
you know, scenario of each client. So we can definitely
have that Ultimately, though, most of our clients come to
really understand that it's a long term game, right when
it comes to the mentality when it comes to money,
(16:12):
and there's the minute that we feel like we have
tackled like the first layer, there's some that's the next level.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
That's why it says there's levels to this.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
It's level Yeah, I understand when they come on it's
levels to this. It's like almost when we wake up
and we're it a certain weight. We didn't just wake
up at a certain leg, but it's levels that got
you to that point and in order to take that
way off, it's going to be levels and times that
you have to take. So generally, when someone comes to
work with you in the beginning, do they work with
you over ninety days or six months in the beginning
when they start.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
So usually it's a ninety days program that we put
everyone through. It's called from Worth to Wealth where we
went through the four pillars that we just shared, and
really depends on at the end of the ninety days
how they feel about their progress, where they want to go,
and they reset the next ninety days goals and we
can definitely continue to support them on a small group level,
(17:04):
and or some people prefer to step out and do
one on one because they want that personal time right
because it can be really deep, you know, like sometimes
even bringing a spouse into a conversation when it comes
to money. We do also couples, you know, I do
couples coaching to when it comes to money. So really
depends on where they want to take it and how
(17:27):
far they want to.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
I guess level up with.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
All that's perfect that is wonderful.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
And so right now, do you have openings for people
to start out soon coming into either your group quaching
or you're one and one at the top of the year,
that you have availability now to take off new clients.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Great.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
So I wanted to also just lastly, just talk about
this piece because this was Oh my god, before you
review the pillars, So anyone that's just coming in and
listening so they'll know what are her four pillars again,
because that's really important. The importance of holistic wellness and
mindset peak performance. Let's in land there. Why is that
(18:05):
the ultimate that in terms of holistic wellness? Have the
mindset you started with that we end with that? Why
is that vital in your peak performance?
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Because here's the thing. I can give you the strategy
all day, right, but who is going to do the
follow through. I'm not going to be able to be
with you twenty.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
Four hours a day, right.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
You are the one that is going to be in
the driver's seat. Yes, right, And unless you have a
relentless you know, I ken eye to following through. Your
mindset is going to push you through it, right, And
(18:54):
I can give you all of the tools, but if
you don't have the right mindset to apply the tools
that you need to be using.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
There's no result.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Or sustainability.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Yes, why I wanted to end with that question because
oftentimes people are chasing the bright, the bright shiny objects.
They're chasing the strategy, they're tape, they're chasing the tactics.
Lady punor women business owners, it's not that. What sustains
you is the mindset to get you over, above, under
and around any time you go into issues.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
So Ddie, thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Can you just let us know how people can get
in contact with you?
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Absolutely, Well, guess what ladies, we are in today's technology?
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Its age right.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
If you want to find me, I'm sure you can
find me. But I am on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
You can also find us on our website at ww dot.
Fit to profit all spelled out and yes, you truly
can have it all as long as you're.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
Willing to invest in yourself.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Beddi, thank you so much for sharing those gems. It's
been wonderful. We're at the top of the year. I
couldn't have thought of a better person to bring on
to start the twenty twenty five podcast, So thank you
so much, Thank you so much viewers. I'm Kim Evans.
I'm the owner to Gordeous Integrated Health and Wellness. Thank
you so much for watching. And I always love to
(20:33):

the south, may you be illuminated, inspired and motivated in
the words that have come from this podcast. It may

in your life. It may you be blessed and share
(20:53):
this podcast out with someone else.

Amen.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Thank you Deddy for your time. Thank you it has
been a pleasure.
