Speaker 1 (00:22):
So everybody, this is Kim Evans and welcome to my
short Kim JEMs. I just wanted to get on here.
This is actually one of my shorts, one of my
podcast shorts, Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I am Kim Evans,
and I just wanted to get on here. I just
had a quick little thought, and that thought is we

(00:44):
know that. Well, first, let me just say what I
wanted to share is that you have to be able
to secure the bag. And if you are a content
a digital creator, is that you have to be able
to spread your information amongst the various platforms and don't
really be dependent on one. So let's get right to it.

(01:04):
We all know that there is an issue going on
with TikTok, this possibility that it might get shut down,
or it might be banned, so on and so forth.
It's actually going to be discussed in the middle part
of January twenty twenty five. Let me just take you
real back, Let me take you back, Let me take
you real back, real quick. So back in the day,

(01:25):
if you all remember my space, it was MySpace, and
that was a big, big, big platform back in the day,
and people were doing or we were emerging into what
we would call birthy digital creation content creation back then, right,
So I was at that boom of that I was
actually becoming pivot to, Oh this is this whole new

(01:47):
scene digital marketing, akay, digital marketing. So all of a
sudden it was really really huge, and then all of
a sudden it got disbanded. Right, So then there was
the end of my Space. Now what came from my
Space was Periscope. Now I was part of that whole

(02:07):
era of Periscope, and I mean we had a lot
of an amazing content creators that was birth out of
Periscope one, and particularly I never forget this lady Mail.
She is actually an amazing, amazing coach, and I followed
her whole beginning her whole journey on Periscope. I even

(02:29):
myself had my channel on Periscope. So that's when I
really began to test out doing aka podcasting and different
types of content creation and where I was testing out
my actual some of my talks and I was just
tested out and had a pretty good following as a

(02:51):
matter of fact, But I did not create my signature
core program until years later. So there's need to hear another.
So we had Periscope. Right. Parascope was amazing, and it
was pre pre covid, and then a little bit into
covid and then all of a sudden it got banned. Right,
So then we go from Periscope and we go into

(03:15):
Instagram channel IG channel, and then they had in addition
to Instagram ig channel, then Twitter was coming on the
scene that was very, very strong. So you had the
content creators. They went from MySpace, they went from Periscope.
From that, then they went to Instagram ig channel. So
you were just like the lit right if you had

(03:36):
your own IG channels, Like, hey, so I'll never forget Periscope.
Gave you ninety days and said, look, get all your videos,
get all your content, get whatever you're going to do,
because it within the next ninety day, by May thirtieth
or whatever that date was, we shutting this down. So
there was no way you can go there to get
your content. And once your content is on a platform,
they own the content. This is why you should never

(03:57):
leave your content on a platform. You should always own
your own content. Take your digital your IP real estate
and put it somewhere. Put it in the inters of
net and those two places where you're gonna put is
either was Sterea, which is a video platform, or you're
gonna use Vimeo. So those two places are where you're
going to secure the bag. In terms of your video.

(04:17):
That's your vault. That's how you build your repertoire of
your content, and nobody can take that. Now you're gonna
have to pay. Just like you go to a bank
and you have a security box. Right, So yeah, you
got got your security box. But you know, so that's
what you're gonna do. You're gonna take your content and
you're gonna place it in one of those two vaults
and you will always be secure. So we go to

(04:38):
Instagram channel, right, and then the next thing, Instagram gives
us this message and say nope, no more IGTV. What
I had made some excellent videos on Instagram on my
TV channel. But what I did know I had smart
enough that every single video that I recorded on my

(05:00):
Instagram TV channel, I also first downloaded it into Vimeo.
That's what I'm trying to tell you. That's the bank.
So the more of the story is, ladies and gentlemen,
kings and queens, as you are expanding your digital content reach,
because it is going to be a billion dollar business

(05:21):
e courses and digital content. That's why I'm on it
is that you want to be able to secure your
content somewhere, all right, So now let's get you where
we talked about when we're talking about TikTok and the
content creators that are on there, God bless them. I
hope that it will come out fair for everyone. But

(05:41):
at the same time, we saw what happened in MySpace,
we saw what happened in perscope, we saw what happened
to Instagram TV, and we also channel right, and we
also saw the competition of threads coming. And then you
have Twitter and now it's X so do you see
the transition? Do you see the patterns? And then you

(06:02):
have the big conglomerate which is YouTube, right, the big
dogs YouTube. So that tells you that everything remains in
everything remains the same with then everything always changing. So
you have to prepare yourself as a content creator, as
a business entrepreneur, as a business provider, you have to
secure your own bag and make sure that you're putting

(06:24):
your content in places in spaces that you can grab
so if things are shut down, that you have access to.
This is why the people on TikTok should have an
email list everybody that have purchased a product from them.
They should have their Instagram, they should have their email
lists so if in fact there will be no more,

(06:45):
they could still have access to their clients and to
be able to communicate with them no matter what. It's
about creating your own e commerce, your own eco digital
commerce system. All right, y'all, If you want to know more,
go over to Kimjims, send me out a message if
you would like to book a complementary strategy call with me.

(07:09):
I would love to share more with you and to
look at where your business model is structured and to
be able to help you. And as a matter of fact,
I have my unstoppable, my unstoppable Business to Profits virtual
training and that is coming. That will be January eighteenth
and the nineteenth. It is a two day trading and

(07:30):
women preneurs, kings and queens. If you would like to
come on board and do that, I'd say come on
over to Kimjims dot com and enroll today. The cost
is only ninety seven all right, you guys, be sure
you secure your own bag, make sure that you secure
your own content, create your digital content as you go
and getting email names, nurture and foster those names, and

(07:54):
that is how you continue to grow your business online
and not be affective. All right you all, God bless
you in happy New Year. This is Kim Evans peace out.
