insights to make your next vacation the best one. Yeah,
and so sit back, relaxed, grab a cocktail and enjoy
the show with Pennac Travels, George Benyac and our senior

Speaker 2 (00:22):
What is everybody? Hey? Everyone, welcome back to another edition
of the Note for a Trump Show. We've got a
show for you today. It is beautiful Sunday evening. It
is fall We were walcome this morning. Leaves are falling
fallows here yep. Q four starts this coming a week
that's insane.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
We're dodging a hurricane, which is great.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
We are dodging a hurricane, so glad about it. And
America is not doing well in the Ryder Cup right now.
So for those golf fans out there like me, if
you're a golf nerd, we need to step it up.
It is day it's day three here and the singles
and America is trying to hold on. They have twelve points.
We have five first one of fourteen wins, so we're
not doing great. Yeah, but anyways, we are not here

(01:02):
to gossip about golf or the weather. We're here to
talk a little travel with you and feels gonna be
back in the studio today. And we got it. We've
been wanting to talk about this resort for a long time.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Yes, we've kind of put it off because we were
trying to wait until we got a little bit closer
to releasing the YouTube video for it, which we are
very close to doing that, so let's just go ahead
and do it.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
So and I just dropped the YouTube video on Bakouti. Yes,
so guys, go check out our YouTube channel, subscribe to it,
give us some love. There's a link in the show
ones how to get to that. But we've got a
we'll have a blog coming out of this resort that
we're going to talk about today. And then we also
have log that we just dropped on Buokuti in Tara,
which we just had a review on that a few
weeks back. And Aruba was like splitting the stay was awesome.

(01:46):
You know, I kind of think like splitting the stay
between Bukuti and let's just tell me about what we're
gonna talk about. What we're going to talk about.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
We're going to do our full deep dive review on
Secrets Baby Beach in Aruba, which is.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
A brand new resort. Yeah, we were one of the
first visitors there. I think how long were they opened
by the time we showed up.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Uh, they were opened just over two months?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Two months, okay. Yeah, So we did a split stay.
We stayed at Bukuti, which is an adults only, not
all inclusive resort, just standard resort. We did stay there
for three nights and did a split stay, headed from
Bukuti to the other side of the island where Baby
Beaches and stayed at Secret Spacey Beach. And that was
a good time. Really interesting contrast between like a smaller
resort like Bukuti. Yeah, and then I don't call it

(02:29):
a mega resort, but it's huge compared to Bakuti.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
It is. And it's just a totally different side of
the island, like literally and just it's very different.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah, it's very different, but you're on the same island.
You have ones, a mega, large, all inclusive resort with
tons of options, tons of restaurant options, tons of lounges, bars,
and then the Bukuti and Tar resort, which is a
we'll call it a boutique hotel with just over one
hundred rooms and literally one restaurant. They say they have two,
but it's pretty much one, yeah, and one bar. But

(02:58):
the service is great there. But so we're from like
this small intimate experience that wasn't all inclusive to like
a big, all inclusive mega resort experience. Both were amazing
in their own way, and I think after we do
the review on this, we should be really good to
do a comparison on these two.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, we're good. I mean they're totally opposite.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Absolutely absolutely, And guys, before we get into this long,
beautiful review of this awesome resort, we have a link
in the description how to get a hold of us
and work with us. We were a zero feet, full service,
modern day travel agency. We don't charge at dime for
our services. We've been to many inclusive resorts, hundreds of
all inclusive resorts, not on incluse resorts, and all these
resorts are different. So it's really good to work with

(03:36):
an experienced travel agency like Pennac Travel that can help
you kind of discern and decide what you want and
make sure that we line up the best resort or
travel package that meets your needs. Because all these resorts,
they all look good online, right, they all do good
at marketing themselves, and some of the you know, the
amateur traveler reviews aren't as accurate. But when you've been
in the we have, we can help you out and

(03:57):
we don't charge a dime for our services, and you
get the Caribbean Queen yourself, you get all our knowledge.
There we go because those quote requests right there on
our homepage Panic travel dot Com go directly to Janet.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Yes, that is correct, all right, so let's jump into it.
So first off, so this resort Secrets Baby Beach. It
is on the beautiful island of Aruba. It is located
in the most like southeast corner of the island, and
it is in a very remote area. There's not a
ton of things around it except for the beach, and

(04:28):
there's a couple of restaurants like on the beach, which
we'll get into the beach situation later, but overall, totally
opposite vibe on this side of the island. And if
you're staying in like Eagle Beach or Palm Beach.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yes, I think like people think Aruba and it's like, oh,
it's walkable. There's tons of great restaurants you can go to,
and that is true. That is very true. When you're
on the right side of the island. This is a
this is probably I don't know what side geographically it is.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
I think it's the most southeast side.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Southeast side exactly.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
So it's the closest point to South America in Aruba.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
So if you want to go enjoy the kind of
downtown scene of Aruba, you're gonna have to get on
a transfer and do that, which is a or you.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Can't rent a car, which I've got pricing for that
because they do it directly from the resort. So we'll
get into that later.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
And I think there's an awesome play for that because
you can really enjoy the resort and everything the resort
has offer and then head into town for a day
or two on like a five nights stay. And I
think that's perfect. Yeah, but it is. It is a
little out there, but I'm telling you it's worth it.
And some of the things that are doing at this resort.
There's like a special little peninsula. Remember that little peninsula
that was all the resort that we went to, yes,

(05:34):
and the resort showed it to us and they're gonna
do special things up there.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
I mean they're testing like bikes tours out there.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Yeah. So like there's some really million dollar views, beautiful
you know landscape in this side of the island too.
So I don't want to discount it, but but it is,
it's something new for the island. This is the biggest
all inclusive probably in all of Aruba.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
I guess, No, it's not quite. There's the reuser bigger.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
The reus are bigger. Okay, Yeah, definitely probably up there.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
With the nicest though I would in my opinion it
is the nicest, most best quality all inclusive on the island.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Yeah, so we're going to start. You want to start
with like how to get there, what that process is like,
because I think there's some tips and tricks that people
need to know when you're flying into this destination. Yes,
enhance your trip.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
A little bit, right, Yes. So we actually flew from
Houston Charleston to Houston Houston there, which was totally random,
but the flights were like a third of the cost
by doing it that way because we booked kind of
last minute. So that's why we did it. Otherwise we
would usually go through like Charlotte, Miami, or Atlanta because
we're located in South Carolina. So just to give you

(06:40):
an idea on how long the flights are, it's about
a four hour NonStop flight from Charlotte in about two
and a half NonStop from Miami.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Yeah. Yeah, it's which isn't bad because it's not bad.
You know most of the Caribbean. You can find a
handful of destinations in America that you can get to
Riva from. Yes.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Absolutely. So one big tip that I would say, and
I get asked a lot, does you know this destination
have like a fast track service, So if you are
kind of familiar with, say going to Jamaica, or they
have a Club Mobay, which is a vip arrival service,
they fast track you through immigration. They do have this
in Aruba, and we did do it. It's one hundred

(07:19):
and fifty five dollars per person. Now we landed, it
was about like three thirty and the line for immigration
it was not too long. So I mean, I don't
know that it was an absolute must have. But we
traveled in August, which is like starting the end of

(07:41):
tourism season. So if you are going like at a
peak time winter, spring break, Thanksgiving, New year's any holiday week.
I would definitely think that it would absolutely be worth it.
I think we could have gotten away with it and
been fine. The departure though, we'll get to at the
end of the podcast.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Yeah, the line thing too. I'm trying to remember. There
was like a weird thing with the lines at the airport.
Do you remember that, like where we had to go.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Back outside that that's when we left.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Oh, that's okay, I'm sorry, I'm getting feted.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Yeah. Yeah, So we'll talk about that advance because that's
and you definitely want to stay tuned for this because
this is a big tip.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
That's a big tip because there are lines on the
after line after line after line. You want to avoid that,
which we'll talk about that on the departure sow we
can't forget that.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Yeah. So this resort, though, is located about thirty minutes
from the airport, so not a bad ride at all.
You can get a private round trip transfer for approximately
two hundred, two hundred and fifty dollars if that's for
two people. So this resort they built from the ground up.
It's brand new, okay, And there are currently three hundred

(08:48):
and four rooms and I say currently this is as
of September twenty twenty five, because they do have like
a whole expansion plan for this resort.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Yeah, there's a lot of land and out there. This resort,
I don't want to say it's in the middle of
the middle of nowhere. It just kind of feels that
way when you're taking the transfer there.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Especially when you're pulling up to it.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah, there's just a lot of empty land. So they
have a large landscape that that's blank essentially that they
can do whatever they want with. And this is it
kind of sits up on a hill a little bit
and you have to go down a hill to get
to the beach, which we'll get to the beach later,
but just give you kind of like the topography of
the land. You're kind of elevated off the beach level

(09:27):
right and so there, but there's a lot of just
like rocky coastline that's you know that they could develop
pretty easily right next door to that resort. I mean
there's a lot of there's just a lot it's like
an open landscape they can do whatever they want with.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Yeah. So a couple of things about Aruba in general.
So Aruba is a very desertis Island.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
It really is.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
Yeah, And the whole vibe and theme of this resort
is around the desert, like and I think that when
you pull up to the resort, it has that wow
factor because it does just such a great job in
like encompassing that, yeah, and encompassing the whole vibe, incorporating

(10:10):
the the cactuses and just everything into it, like.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
The desert sand and gravel and make it beautiful landscaping.
There is beautifulish palm trees everywhere. Yeah, I just I
don't know why, Like it kind of like another reason
why I like Secrets Mosche and Isla's because it's raised
up a little bit. Yeah, this resort kind of has that.
It's not as high as that, but it kind of
has that infinity pool that's raised up. You look over
the water and it's far away. The breeze, I mean,

(10:36):
the breeze is unbelievable. This resort every like every open
air area has a almost too strong of a breeze.
Well is nice, but it's known as like a windy island.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Yeah, is known for being a windy island, but just
especially at this this part of the island because it
literally is like on the corner almost of the southeast side,
so and.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
A room is so far south as of the ABC Islands,
so it is close to the equator to the most
of the Caribbean is and having that nice breeze coming
and does help offset some of.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
The heat absolutely. And I think that this is such
an amazing destination for winter travel if you're like a Southerners,
you know, kind of chilly water or I guess water
temperatures that are like around seventy seventy two degrees. That's
kind of chilly to us. Oh yeah, I know, like

(11:27):
for you know, a lot of like northern people, they're
like that that feels great. No, it's a little chili.
And so this destination stays so warm year round. The
water temperature stays warm year around. So it's a great
destination if you are kind of like I don't like
cold water. That bothers me, you know, and you but

(11:47):
you want to travel in like December, January, February, like,
this is a great destination for that.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
I love. I love getting out of the peak of winter,
going to the Caribbean, going to Mexico, going somewhere warm
where when you like you haven't felt that level of
heat and so long. It just feels so good when
you walk out of the airport and you hit you
walk out of baggage claim, when you land and that
sun just hits you. It's eighty degrees. It feels so good.

(12:14):
And winter, Winter's coming. Yeah, summer, summer came and went
so fast this summer. I don't know what happened to
summer twenty twenty four. As we traveled to time, it
is gone. I just I blinked, and it's gone. And
it's going to be the peak of winter before I
know it. And then I'm going to be longing for
that that humidity, the warm air, the sunshine, and I
can't wait to take that first trip in the peak
of winter. Can't wait.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Yes, absolutely, so this is a good spot for that.
So just getting back to kind of like first impressions
when we first arrived. So again, this is a brand
new build, so everything is very modern, very new. It
has a big wow factor. As far as like walkability
of the resort, it is very walkable. So if you
do have any mobility challenges, that's not a concern for

(12:58):
me at all.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
It's very flat. I think the I think the tallest
I think it's like three or four stories tall max.
There's not. I don't even have a fifth floor anywhere, right, No, yeah,
so it's it's and there's plenty of elevators everywhere. So
these newer resorts, especially the ones that build from the
ground up, they make them very mobility friendly and so yeah,
not hard to get around at all.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Yes, Now let's get into I guess the room rooms.
So yeah, so we had a preferred club junior suite.
Was it ocean View? I believe it was Ocean View, Yeah. Uh,
And it was on the second floor. We were above
the swim outs. And one thing I specifically remember and

(13:39):
loved about the room was just how spacious.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
It was, very spacious. It everything's so modern, so brand new,
huge bathroom, large balcony. We did have a tub on
the balcony. Yeah, one of the things one of the
things I wish they did at this resort.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
A little point of improvement.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
But yeah, little point improvement is the improve it. But
the balconies had almost every balcony had a tub on it,
like a private like you know, it's not like a
splash pool, but it's a tub that you can hang
out with you and your spouse and there's no curtains.
There's no way to make that private. It just it's
a tub on the balcony. And I didn't see many
people at all using them, and I think it lacked

(14:18):
that privacy element. Well, yeah, you know, and I think,
like I know, Sandals is a really good job of
having curtains or privacy aroun because that way, if you
want lounge on the tub and you don't want people
looking up at the balcony and seeing.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
You, right so, or if you want to get nagive
in the tub, or you want to.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Get a neagi in the tub, brownsing around cow whatever, Yeah, you.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
Could do that at Sandals, but you can't do that here.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
You can have a little privacy. Yeah, for some reason,
I'm like, why did they not put some sort of
curtains or anything like that. Again, I'm being nitpicky because
the resort's amazing and it's beautiful, but that would have
been nicey some sort of way to make the balcy well.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Also, though the divider is it's not fully see through,
but you know, you can like see if there are
people sitting on the other side. Yeah, exactly, And so
again it's not super private, but still that's again just minords.
It was a great falcony, Yeah, absolutely, yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
I thought the room was clean. I thought the service
was great, housekeeping was awesome. They were on their game.
And sometimes when these resorts are this new, you find like,
you know, kinks and issues they haven't worked out yet
because they're still trying to get their feet under them
as a staff. But I thought they did a really
good job keeping the room super clean. You know, they
kept the bar stocked in there that we had the

(15:25):
little wet bar with sodas and snacks and things like that,
so they just they did a really good job with it.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
So all of the rooms come with either one king
or two double beds. You've got the balcony with the
table and chairs, and then if you're in the Preferred club,
then you have the tub mini bar refresh daily with
soft drinks, bottled water, and beer. And then if you
are in the Preferred Club you can get liquor in there,
and I believe you can get a bottle of wine too.
And you've got all your standard bathroom amenities like hair dryers, slippers,

(15:54):
one nice things. They have a steamer which in the room,
which a lot of resorts don't have that have the
espresso coffee maker sofa, So there was places to lounge
and sit and then also at table and chairs to
get work done if you wanted for that. So again,
I really loved the room. And it was a double vanity.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
So yeah, and right when you walk in, like our room,
the bathroom was right there to the right. They have
the double vanity. They had kind of like the farmhouse
style doors that slide open place to hang your wet clothes,
which I like.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
They had like shower, they had the.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Hooks on the side right when you walk in. Just
super modern. All the backlighting and all the fancy lighting
and all the kind of the modern amenities that you
would expect in a resort that's brand new in twenty
twenty five. I'm watching the video right now. I can't wait.
This flogouts can be really good. We had a rain
shower head, showers plenty large enough for two. You had
the rain shower head as well as the washer. Another

(16:47):
thing I love that these newer resorts are doing is
they're putting an area for your luggage. Yeah, like I
don't know what, Like, how is that such a new
thing now? Like resorts should have figure that out long ago,
you know, because the lugy Look where are people can
put their luggage? I love like Marriott's picked up on
that too. Oh you know what it's speaking of Marriott.
You know what I heard the other day? What it
was like one of the Marriott family members and they
were talking about how to pronounce Marriott. How do you pronounce.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Marriott, Like you're saying it Marriott.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
It's Marriott, Marriott, Marriott, It's it's the Marriott.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Marriott. Yeah, spelled the E T T.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
No. I don't know. He made an example on like
another thing that spelled a certain way, Like I think
you compare it to the word the name Elliot. It's
spelled the same, but you don't call it Elliott. You
call it Elliott, So it be Marriott. I don't know,
that's it.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
That's the first time I've heard of that.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
I will call it Mariott. I'll ever call it Marriott,
but technically from from one of the family member's mouths
on the internet, Marriott.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Okay, Well, good to know.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
And if you find a good woman Marriott.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Gosh, all right, So talking about the preferred club amenities
or well anything else on having the space to put
the luggage, which you.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Know, I think I think it was an spot to
have that. You know, balcony was nice, so you're the
fall glass in between the two balconies I didn't like.
I'm with you on that. They did have a glass
kind of handrail area so you can see right through.
We had a great ocean view, great essentially a pool
view as well. They did set up a nice little
champagne bottle for us when we got in, and there's
a nice sitting area there as well. So if you

(18:20):
want to get room service, you have a great area.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
To how you do that one day, which we'll get
into the food. But talking about the preferred club amenities,
and I always get asked, do you think it's worth it?

Speaker 2 (18:31):
So, oh, this is a great debate.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
Yeah. So it just kind of depends on the price difference.
So for here, this is what you get to the
private soaking tub on the balcony or private plunge pool
on ground floor rooms. You have the private preferred club
lounge with concierge service, daily continental breakfast in there afternoon
hot and cold or derves and then they have desserts

(18:54):
and a slightly upgraded liquor in the in the lounge,
which we did go to that lounge almost every day
because it was one of the few indoor bars at
that that was open at that time of day, and
so we ended up going in there a decent amount.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
Yeah, we've never spent that much time in when the
preferred lounges and and every every like most I shouldn't
say every, but a lot of these all inclusive groups
they do have some sort of preferred lounge equivalent. You
know Sandals has the club lounge. Yeah, you know Secrets
has the preferred lounge. This is the most this last
trip in the room, I think that's the most time
we've ever spent the actual like access only lounge. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
And it was nice because they had like a full
bar in there, like with you know, barstools and everything,
plus tables and couches that you could sit on, so
it was really nice.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
And an outdoor balcony you can listen to music. So
the balcony it sits up a little bit. It was
above the coffee shop or behind the coffee shop I
think anyways. Anyway, Yeah, it had it's had its own
balcony that you could listen to your the live music
and the live and your payment because it wasn't far
from that, and it had little snacks. And one thing
that stuck out to me that I really liked is

(20:06):
that they had a lot of wine offerings more than
usual at a Secrets resort. In the preferred club, Like
they had a few different reds. Usually it's like one
or two reds. They had a few different reds we
could choose from when they were nice.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Yes, so you also go if you were in booked
in the into the preferred club, you also go here
and you check in here, and then at this resort
you do get butler service with the preferred club. Now
the butler service is like not Sandals.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Styles Sandal's equivalent. Y, it's different.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
We saw him maybe twice.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Yeah, we didn't really utilize him. We could have utilized
him more. I think the difference in the Sandals and
the Secrets Butler, outside of how many guests they have
dedicated to them, because I think Sandals has way less
per Butler, is that Sandals the Butlers are a lot
more proactive, whereas Secrets you have have to be as

(21:00):
the guest, you have to be proactive.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Yeah, they're more like a personal concierge.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
That's what I mean. Yeah, but I think you could
get a lot out of them, but you have to
be the one to.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Kind of yeah, but they're not. They don't go in
like reserve pool and beach chairs for you like you know, sandals,
Butler's do I.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Wonder if you think too, would they do it?

Speaker 3 (21:16):
No?

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Yeah, you don't, Okay, I don't.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
I don't believe so no, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
So someone try tell us. I mean, we just we didn't.
I mean, this reasont you don't really need. There were
so many chairs, there were so many lounge chairs everywhere
you don't really need.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah, we'll talk about that. But the preferred club lounge bar.
Let's go back to that. So that's open from seven
am to eleven pm. The you get a preferred club
restaurant area in the restaurant where breakfast is, which is Oceania,
and that's all a kart from eight am to ten am.
We actually did not even know about that until our

(21:51):
very last morning. So remember they had that separate I know, I.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Wish I would have known that. So it is in
the main breakfast area. It's like a separate restaurant off
the side of it that's attached, but totally different the core,
different menu, different vibes. And we literally found out about
it the morning we checked out. I think we had
already checked out of our room and then we went
to breakfast. I'm like, oh my gosh, the Preferred club

(22:15):
breakfast areas here, and it was great. It was really good.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Yes, so awesome.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
I know, I'm getting out the weeds.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
So last, but not least, you also get the upgraded
mini bar in your room. So again that's where they'll
give you like a bottle of liquor in your room,
and then you get upgraded bath amenities, so you know,
is it worth it? Oh and sorry I totally missed
this part too. There is the preferred club pool. So

(22:44):
the Prefer Club pool was awesome. We we didn't spend
a whole lot of time there because there's not a
swim up bar, but they do have weight staff that
goes around constantly certain drinks and the pools like very
different and there's not a ton of lounge chairs around
it either.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
No, it's it's like an infinity pool that also has
two massive, maybe three massive hot tubs in it. Yeah,
and I thought that was cool. Because when the breeze
is coming in heavy and it's a little cooler in
the evenings, that hot tub's probably really nice. Yeah, but uh,
but I thought it was a pretty cool prefer pool.
It didn't feel like there's like a little sign. It
didn't feel like a special area. It just seemed like

(23:22):
part of the resort. Yeah, you could probably walk to
the preferred area and not even know you're in it.
Really Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Well, and then next to that preferred club pool they
said was the preferred club pool bar, but it was
just on the outside of the pool. Then on the
once you got inside the pool, then the swim up
bar that's for everyone. So that was a little strange.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
Yeah, it didn't feel special. I thought that that whole
like they, in my opinion, just make just make it
all whatever. Yeah, so like it doesn't. And you did
get the price difference on this.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Yes, so looking at this in May, which we'll get
into some pricing later, like starting prices, but the different
in an ocean View junior suite versus a preferred club
ocean View Junior suite was two hundred and fifty four
dollars per night. This is based on double occupancy, so
two people in the room. So I don't know if
that's worth it to me, that's worth it, because I

(24:17):
don't know it was me personally, I probably would not
do that. I would rather like in upgrade my flight's
first class or something.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Yeah, I think there's better money to be spent. Think
about it. If it's two fifty a night more essentrally
two fifty and you're there for four nights, that's a
thousand dollars more. Listen, Like, if you got the budget
for it, it doesn't hurt. But I don't know, Like if
you're if you're already kind of at the top of
your budget trying to get in this resort, I wouldn't
sweat it. You're not.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Yeah, I don't think you're missing out on anything huge
by not doing it.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Personally, I would say that you're gonna get ninety plus
percent of the experience. Yeah, you're missing out on a
very small amount. But if two fifty ads, I mean,
what could that potentially be adding on the overall trip costs?
Is that another twenty percent or something? If you're paying
a twenty percent markup for that, I wouldn't do it.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Yeah, twenty twenty five percent?

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Yeah, Yeah, I just I probably I personally would hold
I spend that money on other experiences, like instead of
doing that, rent the car or take that transfer back
downtown and enjoy like a nice meal out or something.
That's the way to do it.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Yeah, that's what I would.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
I would, Yes, that way you can, like, if you're
not going to do a split stay and stay on
like the hop inside of the island, spend like, don't
go preferred, spend that money on the excursion or a
private car to go back downtown and enjoy food. Yes, sang,
that's what you do right there. Look look at this
front the top of the dom. And I'm not even
a travel professional. You're the expert. I'm just a talk
show host.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Okay, well there you go. Oh one other thing. This
is like totally out of left field that I'm going
to say this, But I'm looking at all my notes
from when we were there.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Come on out of left field.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Which you got The better view going in when you're
landing is if you're on the left side of the plane.
We were on the right side of the lane. It
was not as good of a view. So be on
the left side if you want a good view going in.
And you have a window seaty.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
That's no before we got to travel fast.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
So we're going to talk real quick about since s
George just mentioned it, like doing the rental car and
going into town. I'm going to give you what the
cost is and then then we're going to take a
quick commercial break. So they do have a rental car
company on site and you can rent a convertible Mustang

(26:22):
for one hundred and fifty bucks for the day, which
is yeah, that's that's not bad, like considering you know,
it's at the resort. You don't have to leave. It's
very convenient because otherwise, if you were to, you know,
do that, say from the airport and then you have
it for your whole stay, you're going to be paying
a lot more than that.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
You're paying a lot more and it's so convenient just
pick it up and drop it off at the resort.
I thought that was a really unique thing that they've done.
I don't know if I've ever seen that. The closest
thing is like Santos Curousow giving people cars, but you
have to be at a certain bike Butler level. You
have to be one of the top levels to get out.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
You have to pay for Earth, I'm saying, yeah, don't
you have to pay for it there? You don't.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Yeah, but you have to be in like the most
expensive room category pretty much, so you're so you are
paying for it, are not paid for it? No, I
thought this was cool because everybody had access to it,
and it's that kind of island where you want to
go explore the restaurants and just the scene and just
everything that Rube's offer. I will say this, there's a
lot of cribbon islands I would not run a car
and drive in. This is when I would feel comfortable

(27:22):
doing it. Like they're I don't want to call it
americanized when they drive. But it's not as like because
you know some of these like Saint Lucia, I'm probably
not rent a car and ever that's heck.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
No, I would never run a car in Saint Lucia.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
I don't even like riding in a car in Saint Lucia.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
Went in Jamaica either.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Yeah, But you know, like Aruba, just they drive more
more kind of because I guess it's part it's like
a Dutch cribbon island. I guess it feels more. I
guess like I guess they have better driving, like like, uh,
there's stricter requirements to get realizing it's.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
Just yeah, it's just a more americanized like a place
like you feel more comfortable driving there.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
I'll never forget that story. Like I think it was
our honeymoon. This is years and years years ago, but
I remember we were getting our going to our resort
and we were asking the drivers people were driving, you
know kind of we felt they were driving kind of crazy,
and I said, hey, it's like, like, do you I
and speeding like I never saw police out like policing anything.
And he's like, oh, yeah, yeah, you're not supposed to

(28:21):
drink and drive, but I mean people do it. And
you know, if you're too drunk, you just pull over
and you take a nap, and he goes. People will
literally pull over to the side and just take a nap.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Like wow, that's safe, very safe. I mean, it's a
save island, but it's just no I know, but that's yeah,
that's the island.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
It's just like some of the Caribbean islands just operating
on a different, different procedural.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Level, like the it's the Caribbean, totally different way.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
But I love it. I freaking love it.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
I do too. So one last thing. On the car
rental you can also get a Jeep Wrangler for two
hundred and fifty bucks. I think I'd rather have the
convertible Mustang personally, but well, if you're.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Gonna hold off from prefer and spend the money there,
absolutely give me that Mustang or the Jeep. The Jeep
would be cool.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
So a couple other things that I'll just mention since
we're talking about I.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Will say this about Jeeps though. I just had a
Jeep rental car recently.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
That was the biggest debacle of any rental car I've
ever had. Yeah, so now I'm a little gun shy
on the Jeeps. Right now, I'll take the Mustang.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
His Jeep literally would not shut off.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
I've never seen this. I had a rental car, and
I've never been I was stranded on the side of
the interstate like I was just driving, and then all
of a sudden, I lost acceleration, like I just started coasting.
And then to top it off, my steering wheel power
steering stopped. I was on manual steering. I was muscling
this car to just get it off the interstate, and
I stopped and I'm with one of my guys, I'm like,

(29:44):
what is like, what is going on here? And it
was a Jeep Grandwagon are probably like a twenty twenty
four or something. And every little signal on the inside
of the dash is blinking. I mean, all the electronics
are going absolutely ballistic. I don't know what's going I
can't change the gear, I can't get it get out
of drive or in a drive. I'm getting the finger
wheel by Jane, and so I'm I need to speed
this up. But eventually, like I finaggled it a little

(30:07):
bit more and eventually got this thing to go about
twenty five miles per hour in the emergency lane, drove
a mile down the interstate and got to a gas station. Nightmare.
Then I finally got it here somehow, and then the
car would not cut off.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
It would not shut off. He had to pull the
battery out while it was on and almost got electrocuted.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
It almost got eletrocuted, and it was a mess. It
was a total mess.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
He's on a Jep fin right now. But anyways, Yeah,
I would rather take the convertible Mustang and use that
one hundred dollars difference towards like a dinner or something.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Person agreed one hundred percent. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
So actually before we get into like additional experiences that
I want to tell you about and then a lot
more to cover on this resort, We're going to take
a quick commercial break so we can pay some podcast
bills and we will be right back.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
You're back, all right, We are back, jumping right back
into secrets baby beach.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Yes, So just when thinking about out, you know whether
or not you want to spend that extra about two
fifty a night to upgrade to preferred clubs. So a
couple other experiences and things that are available to think
about in your budget that you could pay for add on.
So they have pool cabanas that start at two hundred
and fifty dollars for the day, and then they also

(31:19):
have these really cool cabanas that were like on the
other side of the preferred club and.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
They came went private pools. Those were all.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
Private plunge pools. The view is amazing.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
They overlooked. They were like right on the edge of
the cliff side, just overlooking the ocean and the breeze.
I mean it, it had a breeze coming.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
It was It was amazing and you have like a
dedicated waiter throughout the whole day. And then those are
only three hundred dollars and this pricing is as of
September twenty twenty five. But those are great additional things
that you know, I would think would enhance your experience
and I would you definitely recommend. So some other things
that you can do is they also do wine tastings

(31:59):
and the wine. That's an additional cost. I'm not entirely
sure what that cost is because I don't think they
had started it yet, but they're going to.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Yeah, if they would have done that, we would have
definitely have done it, but they didn't have it going
we were there.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
Yeah, And then they do also do like romantic private dinners,
So if you want to do they're not going to
do it down on the beach, and we'll tell you why,
but just in other settings, like I bet you they
would set one up kind of in these pool cabanas
because that would be a good spot with a great view.
Those the pricing varies depending on the location that you want,

(32:32):
but those start around two hundred and fifty dollars, just
so you know. Yeah, so let's talk about the gym
really quick, because the gym was awesome.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
I do want talk about the gym they had spat. Yeah,
so the gym was on the third floor, really close
to the spot both of these spawned the gym. They
were elevated up essentially at the top floor of the resort.
And I'm surprised they didn't make that gym area like
a bunch of rooms because it is just beautiful the
view there. It's really hard to work out when the

(33:02):
views are that nice. Yeah, you know, And they had
a gym intendant. The gym intendant that was in there
was the best gym intendant I've had at ANYR resort.
Like he was super helpful. He would walk by and
like help you with your workouts.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
If you from a different perspective, yeah, I know, but he.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Was just trying to keep the place clean. But anyways,
he he like helped you with your workouts, and like
he really was watching you, Like he was watching me
lift weights, he was helping me with my form. I
just thought it was really cool that he was helping hand. Now,
he was very kind of policing the area, making sure
it was staying clean. I don't hate that. I think
there are certain times that's appropriate.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
So well, first off, so the gym was very spacious,
lots of great equipment, good amount of treadmills and cardio equipment.
So that was good. But yeah, the guy was really nice,
but I just didn't like that. I mean, if you
walked away from like your the equipment you were using
and say, if you had not wiped it down yet,

(33:59):
oh he's hawking, then he would come and get you
and tell you to wipe it down.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
He just wanted to keep it clean even if you
weren't done with that's the thing. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
He also like on one machine that I was using,
and like I had added weights to it and then
I left, but it was like five pounds and he
told me to like put it back as like it
was like as if Noah was going to use it.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Yeah, like the little thing you stick a yeah, And I'm.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Like, you know, I don't know, like what are they
paying you for? Like shouldn't you just do that? Probably?

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Yeah, I don't know. I thought he was fine.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
That's just my opinion because I'm like art, you're you know,
like I feel like the workers should be there for
the guests. But anyways, that's just my.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
Little creat that's with that you're being a little nitpicky here.
I thought he was fantastic. I disagree. I think he
was very helpful. I thought him like him helping me
with my form and everything like that. Like most of them,
the attendants, they just kind of sit there.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
At least he was like I left a bar on
the one of the pool machines and he came and
told me to take it off and put it back,
and so I just thought that was a little much.
But anyways, I'm giving Okay, so the spot, let's get
in the spa. So spa was great, very spacious as well.
They have sauna, steam rooms, hot and cold plunge pools.
So they do a whole hydro therapy session. The hydro

(35:19):
therapy you if you're in or if you get a
spa treatment, then you get the hydro therapy included. You
just need to like schedule it otherwise you can do
their hydro therapy circuit for seventy nine dollars person.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Yeah. Not bad, Yeah, not bad. The more we travel,
the older I get, the more I'm becoming a spa guy.
Oh yeah, I used to not. I used to be like,
why would I ever go to a spa like I'm
just like gym and you know pool, Like, I never
thought to go to the spa, and now that I
now that I've gone to all these amazing resorts over
the years, I'm like, I get it. Spas are awesome.

(35:56):
You can't guys, if if you're a guy that listening
to me, especially maybe younger guys, don't think it's cool
to go the spot. It's cool to go the spa.
Spas are awesome. The massage, you a massage, do the
cold plunge, hot plunge, the whole nine. You know, it's
it's great.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
Yeah, it's give you an idea on you know, pricing
of other SPA services. Generally speaking, at Secrets resorts, a
couple's massage starts around two hundred and fifty bucks plus tip.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Yeah, yeah, which we usually do. We didn't do one here,
but we usually do do a couple's massage. We didn't
do it at Bakuti either. Yeah, we had such a
short stay at both of them.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
We didn't real Yeah, we were just wanted to like enjoy.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Field for the whole resort.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Yeah, the resort. So let's jump in to the dining
and the bars. Okay, so this resort has I believe
it's seven, yes, seven dining options, and right now there's
just four all of KRT restaurants. So they're going to
be adding more as the property grows, but that's what

(36:58):
it is now. So they have the Market Cafe where
they do the buffet for breakfast and lunch. And the
buffet was fantastic. I mean they had anything and everything
that you could want. I'm telling you, I thought the
fue quality was actually very good.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Yeah, the newer resorts are really really nailing, like high end,
nice buffet, like Vegas style, like everything you could imagine.
Like the amount of options you have. Yeah, it's endless,
endless options for breakfast and lunch. I mean everything from
like they have Classic American, they have stir fry, they
have sushi, they have salads, they have I mean, you

(37:34):
name it, they've got it. It's just an abundance of options,
which I think is great. And another thing that I
really liked that I notice on the buffet is they
kept the area very, very very clean.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
I think that's important to guess that they keep the
buffet area clean and tidy, you know, where you don't
have people coming in and you know spooning something on
their plate and then you know, the spoons off to
the side and there's food everywhere, like they just kept
it very nice and tidy, and I thought that was great. Yes, absolutely,
it's it's a sign of how they handle things.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
Back a house too, yep, I would agree. So then
they also have himitsu, which is you know, like they're
like Asian style, and we ate there. It was fantastic.
You had sushi there.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
Yeah, I had sushi. The sushi was really good. I
want to say one thing about the restaurants that sticks
out to me in this resort. That's I think a
lot of new resorts do a great job of theming
the restaurant where it feels like you're in a you're
not an inclusive resort, right, this resort went above and beyond.
Like the decor in these restaurants. It was incredible, Like

(38:34):
how much effort they put in in the design of
the restaurants where you feel like you're you feel like
you're in Asia, yeah, you know, or you feel like
you're in the Mediterranean. Not only did the menu and
the food quality kind of live up to my expectations,
but the decor and the feel and the ambiance of
these restaurants spot on like they killed it, like like Tiara.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
So this is another one that they have that's like
their South American restaurant. And I mean, like it really
did kind of feel like we're in South America. Absolutely,
the whole decre of it, the colors, the vibe, it
was really nice.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
The resort had a lot of attention to detail, which
really impressed me, you know. And the secrets. We talked
about secrets a lot on this pod, and there's a
wide range of quality in secrets. I would put this
one as up at the top of quality. Obviously, it's
brand new, ground up build and there's other resorts that
say they're brand new, but they've taken an old, existing
resort and flipped it. This one's ground up. I mean

(39:28):
every aspect of the construction and the architecture, the design
was meticulously put together and the end product is incredible.

Speaker 3 (39:36):
Yes, And so before I go through the rest of
these dining options and talk about the bars, I just
want to make it a point since George just mentioned that,
so all of the Secrets resorts and their whole umbrella
of resorts, so then they also have dreams, they have
Sunscape zoetry. There's a lot, and they are not all

(40:01):
the same quality, like some are like they have different tiers.
Some are like their lower tiered like Sunscape definitely is,
but even within the same name brand. So just like
Secrets in general, there's a wide variety. Like Secrets, Cosmel
terrible resort. Don't ever go there. Okay, this resort totally
opposite of that, like very high quality. It's good. And

(40:24):
so this is another reason why you do not want
to do their time share. So when you go to
this resort or any other secret resort, they will try
to talk you into a breakfast meeting to come and
sell you their time share. Don't do it, say no.
I mean they'll give you, you know, like a free
massage or something when you're there, but it's very high

(40:46):
pressure sales and it's expensive. And again you're not all
of their resorts are like the same qualities.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
They have some really nice ones. They do have some
that are you know, like I said, probably not worth
the money. Cosmel Tear Yeah, like you know, you know
what they do have that I just found out. Do
you know they own the cape that's part of Hyatt.

Speaker 3 (41:05):
The toll, Yeah, it's part of Hyatt but it's not
part of High Inclusive Collection.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
No, no, no, it's a Thompson collection which is under
the High umbrella, which I thought was pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (41:12):
Yeah, but in terms of like their time share that
relates to High Inclusive Collection, Yeah, I guess so's they're
all inclusive resorts. But if anybody asks you to go
to a breakfast meeting, don't do it. Say no. If
they insist, tell me your travel agent and they'll leave
you alone. So that's just a little point of that.
So getting back into the dice, See, it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
That bad, especially this trip, Like.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
Usually I saw some people in their office.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
I mean, I wouldn't deter me from traveling there though, but.

Speaker 3 (41:38):
No, I would never I don't. I would never tell
anybody to not go to this resort because of that.
I just am warning you. And also don't buy into
the time share because you're not going to get the
same quality across all of their resorts.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (41:52):
So back into the dining. So port Afino is there.
Italian Oceania is like their seafood restaurant, Barefoot Grill is
where they do like the grill specialties during the day
and you could also order that food like from around
the pool. And then they are opening a French restaurant too,
without that was not open yet when we were there.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Can make I want to make a note on the
food that thought was pretty cool. So you really can't
do this a lot of resorts. But we were sitting
at the swim Up Bar and we saw someone having
a burger or hot dog or something at the swim
up Bar.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
Yeah, and they let us order it.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
And they let you do it. The bartender would take
your order at the swamp Bar and they'll bring you
I don't think you can get every option, but like
it was like a burger, hot dog and like some standard.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
Stuff and like chicken. Yeah, I think, well it was perfect.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
Yeah, bring me my food at the swa bar. This
is amazing. Like yeah, and then the view for the
swum up Bar, So I mean, guys, put yourself and
put yourself in. Just envision this. You're you're there. There's
you're up on a cliff side maybe I don't know,
probably fifty eighty feet off the ground. Yeah, up on
a cliff side. You can hear the ocean waves crashing.
You're in an infinity swam up bar right at the.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
Edge, and so there's two main sence Storge message jumping
had two main swim up bars.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
You're you just in the middle of my bit?

Speaker 3 (43:04):
Did you sorry?

Speaker 2 (43:05):
You're stopping the professional in the midll of his bit?

Speaker 3 (43:07):
Okay, keep going.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
You're sitting there, aunt a swim up bar, your back
is your breeze is hitting your back. You've got a
cold drink in your hand, and you're like, oh, it's
like twelve thirty. You have none lunch that You're like,
I'm hungry, and that bartender comes over and says, you
know what I can nearly. I can bring you something
from the grill. You don't even have to get up.
Then you can eat it right there. Then you eat
a burger or a hot dog. Wash it now with

(43:29):
a nice cold margarita. Turn around, and right there it's
just this incredible view of a breeze and you don't
even have to move. Does it get better than that?

Speaker 3 (43:37):
No, it doesn't.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
Does it get better than that?

Speaker 3 (43:39):
It doesn't. Uh So we'll get back to that in
a second. So last, but at least they also had
an amazing coffee shop. I loved the decor of this
coffee shop. I thought it was one of their better
coffee shops of all of their resorts. In my personal opinion, Yeah,
they've always done it's always done a good job.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
But the secrets, like every resort's done really a good
job with like enhancing their coffee game, Like I think
a lot of the resorts in Cancun have done, like
like Italier is an amazing coffee shop. Sandals now is
catching up to I think Sandals coffee shops. The bloom
and what they're doing there is incredible. Yeah, but secrets,
like they've kind of always been the industry leader in that,
like they've always had a dedicated coffee shop that had

(44:18):
the traditional espresso machine and they're making it handcrafted coffee.

Speaker 1 (44:22):
I like iced.

Speaker 3 (44:23):
Coffee, especially when it's in the Caribbean, our big iced
coffee drinks, and sometimes at some resorts they give it
to you and like the ice has melted in like
two seconds, and oh yeah, that's not the case here.
Every coffee drink I had here was very good.

Speaker 2 (44:40):
Or they put the iced coffee in like a paper cup. Yeah,
and I'm like, don't do that. That's it's gonna it's
gonna like soak into the paper. It's just not good. Yeah, like, yeah,
you gotta, yeah, you gotta use the plastic cups for that.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
Yes, so we did actually order room service, so George
and I are not being room service people.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
Uh, let's get out.

Speaker 3 (44:59):
Yeah, but every room category here does come with room
service twenty four hours. So we did it for breakfast
one day and it was really good.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
I regret it not doing it more. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
Yeah, sometimes I feel like room service food is just
not the same quality. It's what I usually feel, at
least outside of breakfast.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Someone's bringing it to you. Then there's like the food
in transit, so it's not as hot or fresh, you
know what I mean. I get it, but I thought.

Speaker 3 (45:28):
That the breakfast room service here was absolutely delicious.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
I agree, and I regret it.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
Seemed like it was just fresh cooked, like right out
of the buffet.

Speaker 2 (45:36):
Yeah, Like I regret not doing that more because it
is nice, like when you wake up, like especially for breakfast,
like you wake up and you don't need to like
get dressed or throw some clothes on. You can just
kind of mean, you do have to get dressed because
someone's going to bring the food into you. But I
do like that A lot of times they'll come in
and set up your table, like they create a little
table setting for you in your room. Yeah, so it's

(45:58):
almost like you are having some level of service in
the room, which is really nice. It's not like they
just put it outside and ring the doorbell and you
go get it and you have to set it up.
They'll set the whole thing up for you.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
Yeah. So getting into the bars, so they have six
bars and lounges, so two main swim up pool bars.
One of the pool bars was like more chill. I
can't even remember if they had music playing. If they did,
it was very chill music they had they had, Yeah,
it was just very chill. The other pool got like

(46:30):
a little bit more I don't want to say loud,
because it never got really loud.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
They were both very chill. They were both mellow.

Speaker 3 (46:37):
And it just depends on the crowd. And again, we
were there when it's newer, so the occupancy was not
as high, So that's some of it.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
I think we're at lower occupancy. And I think I
couldn't tell the difference between the two if there was
more of a party pool or a quiet pool. I'm
sure as soon as this thing gets to you know,
more normalized occupancy rates that you'll see one of these
pools be the quiet one, and one the pools be
the hop and one. If I had to guess, I
think the pool that looks over the ocean where where

(47:07):
it has kind of the preferred club area, that's gonna
be the hop and pool. I think that'll be the
Hop and poole.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
Yeah maybe, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
And then the other pool, like the other pool is huge,
it goes back and tell those little channels, remember that.
I think that's gonna be the pool because it goes
so far back, and the other pool is closer to
a lot of the rooms, right, and so they might
not want that being the hop I don't know. I'm
just I'm speculating. I'm just guessing. But they'll have a
quiet pool in a busy pool.

Speaker 3 (47:30):
Yeah, So we'll come back to the pools in the
beach real quick. I just want to say. They do
have kind of a smaller sports bar area and then
it turns into their nightclub after eleven PM until one am,
So then after one am there's a kind of shuts down.
So but overall, like vibe of the resort, the main

(47:53):
entertainment area outside of that the sports bar and then
that other main big are down there. You know, that's
where a lot of the entertainment was at night, and
they did different like shows like live music. Yeah, different
things like that. It was always good. One thing that
I just want to note is so they have buildings.

(48:15):
This is again as of September twenty twenty five. For rooms,
you have buildings one, two, and three. Building one is
closest to the entertainment. So you could you hear that kind.

Speaker 2 (48:28):
Of into the early nine hours. Maybe I think they
could kill it at ten, eight, ten pm or something.

Speaker 3 (48:32):
They kill it about like ten pm or I think
maybe one night it was eleven.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
But sometimes if you go to bed, like if you're
like me and Jan and you go to bed, maybe
sometimes at nine thirty you might want to get Building three.

Speaker 3 (48:42):
Yeah, you might want to request like building two if
you're not in preferred clubs. I believe Building three is
just all preferred clubs. So exactly just a couple things
to note with that.

Speaker 2 (48:52):
So if we go travel tips, we bring we bring
the best. Now, I we'll say this, like the entertainment
was great, but I it again going back to compare
ing the secrets resorts, which we probably need to do
a whole pod on comparing Secrets resorts, just like we
have done with Sandals, you know, Secrets. Moche nails entertainment,
like they have that dedicated indoor venue. I mean, I

(49:14):
think about I started thinking about other Secret resorts as
we were talking just now about entertainment and comparing everything.
I love Moche. I keep forgetting on how much I
love that resort.

Speaker 3 (49:24):
Yeah, Like that.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
Resort is incredible, and I think one one area where
Moche nails it, and then this resort probably get taken
a page out of that book, is probably getting some
sort of indoor venue for entertainment, like they just it's
all outdoors here, but yeah, you have a better breeze here.
The climate's probably because the breeze is so nice and

(49:45):
it's you know, it gets a little cooler in the evenings.
It's just a maybe it's a better venue for that.
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (49:50):
Yeah, So I would definitely recommend bringing like the towel
clips for your chairs for the pools. We didn't, but
I do think that that would be helpful. Oh well, yeah,
we'll talk about that in a second. But yeah, I
would just agree with everything that George said about that. Yeah,
so let's talk about the pool and then the beach
and then we'll get into activities. So we kind of

(50:11):
already touched base, you know, on the pool. Another thing
I want to say is they do have like a
few other like smaller pools too. Yeah, they have a couple,
but you had an abundance of lounge chairs, so you.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
Will not struggle finding a chair here. I mean, yeah,
and they're all close to the pool. It's the whole
pool area is so well laid out where you're gonna
be close to the water in any chair you get.
And there is probably more chairs than rooms. There has
to be. I've never seen so many chairs, and I
think it's great they have it that way.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
Right, And I do really like so they have a
room category here called the Junior Suite pool Side Terrace,
and I do like those rooms in the location. So
they're on the first floor and you have like like
your own little terrace that has two dedicated lounge chairs
right there, and then you're really close to not the

(51:02):
ocean front pool, but the other one would swim up bar.
So it's nice you can like be like right.

Speaker 2 (51:08):
There with world. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:09):
Yeah, So I like that. So let's talk about the
beach because this is different.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
This is where this resort is gonna stand out and
be unique that most resorts, especially in Aruba, they're on
the beach and people for their beach.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
Yeah, I was gonna say most people go to Aruba
for the beach, and the beach at this resort is
absolutely amazing. It is beautiful.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
It's like a cove. It's like crystal clear water, white sand,
like there's the cove protects from the big waves. Yeah,
so you don't get these huge waves. There's people. I mean,
it's pretty much shallow enough where you can stand in
that water pretty far.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
I mean you can go like you can walk over
one hundred yards out.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Yeah, and you're not you're still in like maybe waste
or you know, chest deep water.

Speaker 1 (51:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:56):
So the beach is fully public. So there was zort
kind of sits up on a hill and then they
have a walkway down and then you walk across the
street to the beach. So how long does it take you?
So when you are at the top of that walkway,
which is like right at the Oceana restaurant, we timed

(52:16):
it and it took us two minutes and like thirty
five seconds round about to walk there until our feet
was in the sand. So not long at all.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
It's not long. It's pritten, maybe like a minute longer
than other resorts. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
Yeah. So then once you get on the beach, there
is a guy with a big secrets flag and he
has a truck and then he has a bunch of
lounge chairs, towels, and then a cooler with beer, water
and soda and so then you know he'll go and
set that up for you, and then you know you
can go back to him and get.

Speaker 2 (52:53):
Water, get a sprite or something. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (52:55):
Yeah, but there's no weight service on the beach, so
that's something that you need to be aware of.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
Now there is or like beach drinks where like margerie
and things like that. Yeah, not to cut you off,
because I know exact where you're going. There is a
really nice restaurant there. Yeah, a local restaurant, which I
think is cool because it kind of fits in with
that Ruba vibe to try the local restaurants. Yeah, there's
a local restaurant there with food and a walk up
bar and you can just walk up right next to
the host and they will take your order and you

(53:21):
can get a couple of drinks and take them right
back to your beach chairs. We did that, Yeah, didn't
take long, took a few minutes. The drinks were like,
drinks are kind of expensive.

Speaker 3 (53:29):
They were twelve to fifty apiece.

Speaker 2 (53:31):
Yeah, I mean everything in a Ruba is expensive.

Speaker 3 (53:33):
And it was like we got like two rum punches, so.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
You know, we walked to that pharmacy. I mean, everything
in a Ruba is crazy expensive. People think this United
States stuff's expensive right now. I bought that freaking thing
of vitamins.

Speaker 3 (53:44):
Oh my gosh, it was fifty.

Speaker 2 (53:46):
Fifty dollars for gummy vitamins, and I thought it was
some sort of different currency. I'm like, this must be
like what are they operated as preming or something here? Yeah,
if it was forty seven dollars plus tax I was like,
holy crap, fifty bucks for just like a hundred pack
of gummy vitamins. Because I left my vitamins, need your vitamins,
So I got them. They're good, but I mean they

(54:07):
didn't change my life at fifty dollars.

Speaker 3 (54:09):
They should amount.

Speaker 2 (54:10):
The drinks were for Aruba standards average, I guess price wise,
twelve fifty a drink, but there there were fruity drinks.
They were fun. Then you can go and we did
enjoy the water. I can't wait to showcase that in
the vlog. But I think that is a big difference
is it is a very public beach. There's a lot
of people there, depending on what day you're going, a
lot of people.

Speaker 3 (54:30):
They say Sundays is the busiest, is what we were told.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
So yeah, and if you're just a beer drinker you
just want to chill and have some soda water, you
could do that too. And I'm even have to worry
about the restaurant.

Speaker 3 (54:38):
But it's kind of cool, like there's no umbrellas.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
Though there's no umbrellas, but it is cool, like to
just go and try a try to try some local
food and the restaurants right there, so you're not like
fully isolated from all the great restaurants. You have one
right there.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:53):
That's the other thing I didn't love is there are
no umbrellas.

Speaker 3 (54:56):
Yes, And I am like, give me the sun, give
me all the sun. George is like anti sun, and.

Speaker 2 (55:03):
So oh I'm the I'm the whitest dude. I'm so pale,
like I burn like I just burned so easy. I'm
like I'm a piece of crispy bacon and the son
it just fries me. Yeah, you're like a sun kissed goddess.
I don't. Yeah, if we ever have kids, like I
hope they get your skin me too, because I just
I burn so quickly.

Speaker 3 (55:21):
I have my grandmother's skin, and so yeah, but that's
the one downside to that. And so the beach service though,
with the chairs and then the guy with the cooler.
It runs every day from eight am to five pm,
so you know, so you know, if you are like
a huge beach person and like you spend your entire

(55:43):
time on the beach and you want to get weighted on,
then this might not be the resort for you. But
if you kind of like a mix of both and
you want to experience Aruba and you want all inclusive,
you know, I think it's not going to hurt you.

Speaker 2 (55:54):
Yeah, I agree. If you're a huge beach person and
Aruba is a great beach destination, I would if like
you're going just for the beach, on the beach almost
every day, probably not the best resort of choice. But
that said, it is an awesome beach. It's just public
and you don't have an.

Speaker 3 (56:12):
Umbrella, Yeah, or do or do a split stay.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
That's that's right.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
We did and get like two different vibes.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
So I think I think the split stay Bukuti and
this resort was awesome. Yeah, it's a great contrast. You
get the best of both worlds. One super romantic, massive beach.
One is like all the amenities you can imagine, brand new, Yeah,
and has a lot to do and way better pools
and less of a beach because the pool at Bakouti
was like barely anything, right, and so one had amazing beach,

(56:42):
not so amazing pool. One has amazing pools, not so
amazing beach. Try and both three three and three.

Speaker 3 (56:47):
There you go. Yeah, so real quick, let's talk about
the activities that you have. So, like we mentioned earlier,
they were gonna be starting those bike tours to like
that one area and that was supposed to start this month.
Then they also have cocktail classes, cooking classes where they
teach you like how to roll sushi and pizza moly,

(57:07):
they do rum tastings that are complementary, cornhole, CrossFit, dance lessons, darts,
and then there is golf in Aruba at an additional cost.
I'm not entirely sure. Where the closest golf course. What
is to that resort?

Speaker 2 (57:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (57:24):
Yeah, seeing one, I would think it's a little bit
closer into town.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
But I'm usually the golf expert here on the show,
and I don't know.

Speaker 3 (57:29):
Yeah, it's not very close to the Yeah, I wouldn't
tell you that.

Speaker 2 (57:33):
I wouldn't view this resort as when you go to
as like a golf No go there specifically for the golf.
Some resorts you do, like, I think there's a lot
of good resorts you would go, and golf is one
of the primary things you can do. This one probably
not so much. I was thinking as you were talking
of like what what is this resort, like, who is
it tailored for? I think I think of two. I
think I think for two things. I think you could

(57:55):
do a couple's trip here. I think it's great for
a couples trip yep, you and your friends, and or
like a birthday trip for like couples, like someone's fortieth,
someone's thirtieth, my mind, forty, this is coming up. I
gotta figure that out. Yep, you've been on me playing
on my fortieth. I do think it it's I I
wish it was a little more romantic. It doesn't doesn't

(58:18):
give me like the most romantic vibes. But I think, like,
I don't know, I think you could still yeah you
can absolutely, like you could honeymoon here for sure.

Speaker 3 (58:26):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
I think that adventurous go off the resort.

Speaker 3 (58:29):
Yeah, we met a few honeymoon couples and yeah, I
mean I think it's good for that. I do also
think it's good for weddings if like it kind of
matches what you're looking for weddings.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
Yes, we saw that. Oh my god, Yeah they have.

Speaker 3 (58:43):
Yeah, like big it's not a rooftop well I guess
it technically is because it is on the roof. It
is like all those yeah yeah building but then it's
like out from the lobby. But you have amazing views
all the gosh, and you could do you could set
up a beautiful reception there. So I do think that
this is a good option for weddings too.

Speaker 2 (59:03):
In the vlog, I think they had it set up
for a wedding, right did they have chairs out?

Speaker 3 (59:07):
And I got and that was just to like showcase
what they could do. They hadn't done one.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Sure, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, but like it was
set up so you could see what it was like.
And man, I'm telling you that that's going to show
so well in the vlog. I can't wait to get
this fog out. So go to the YouTube channel, guys, subscribe.
I just got the first version back from our editor
as we were doing this pod.

Speaker 3 (59:26):
Yes, so it it'll be out this week.

Speaker 2 (59:29):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (59:30):
So another thing, just real quick on touching on the atmosphere.
I mean, we were there after they'd only been open
for two months, so the occupancy was a little bit lower,
so it was pretty chill during the day, and then
you know in the evenings, like where the main entertainment was,
like that bar area and everything, you got kind of

(59:51):
hopping at night. And then not sure on the nightclub
because we never made it up to that, but you
know a lot of that depends on the crowd and
you know how hop in the crowd is it that you're there,
and then the more people that are there then obviously
it usually that impacts the vibe. So one other thing
is they are going to have a casino.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
I know it wasn't.

Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
It was not done there. I believe they said it's
going to be done in December.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
It's what didn't seem like it was far from being done.

Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
But yeah, but that's going to be awesome. Yeah, so
because Ariba has casinos.

Speaker 2 (01:00:29):
So yeah, we toured that marriage. I keep saying some marriage,
keeps saying it it's a highat right.

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
Yes, we toured a high and it had awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
It had a huge casino. I was like, whoa, this
is really cool. That was one the biggest casinos I'd
seen in every resort. But I think I think this
one will be maybe not that big, but still big enough.

Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Yes, so a lot more to come on this resort.
I think, you know, they're just getting started. But you know, overall,
I absolutely loved it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
In the service, I thought the service was fantastic. They
they did bring in a decent amount of worker from
other Secrets resorts.

Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
Yeah, there's still some training.

Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
Yeah, and doing trainings and but I mean I thought
everybody was so friendly, everyone always spoke. I don't have
a bad thing to say about the service.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
No, you know, I think like there's a lot to
do here. So I think if you wanted to have
a romantic experience, you absolutely could, especially with like the
private the private pool cabana pools. You can get you
can do certain things to really increase the you know,
romanticness of it, if you will. A couple personal notes
that I really liked about it. Love just like Mache
has a lot of bars and things to do, like

(01:01:36):
different little pieces of resort to go hang out in.
You have that all over this resort to all these
great little nooks and crannies of bars and outdoor seating
and things like that. And coming from Bukuti and Tara
where they only have like one lounge, like they have
one bar area, which is great too because it's small
and intimate and you just do the same thing every day.
This was the exact opposite. You had a lot of

(01:01:57):
different variety of things to do and so really really
enjoyed it.

Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
And room was a great destination too for you know,
activities in going off property because you know, overall it's
a very safe island to go out on your own
if you want to do that. There's great island tours
like ATVs tune bugs through the desert. Yeah, it's great

(01:02:22):
for that. Then there's great snorkeling, just a lot of
good activities on the island. So a couple other notes,
So like we said, we stayed at Bukuti and Terror
Beach Resort before we went here, just to give you
an idea on what the cost was for a taxi
from there. Two secrets. Because we could not get a

(01:02:43):
transfer arranged ahead of time, like no companies would do it.
They told us we had to take a taxi, so
it was US sixty dollars in cash and cash only.
Just speaking of cash, so secrets, I would definitely recommend
bringing some cash for tips. Usually I reckon men like
a dollar per drink and then a couple of dollars

(01:03:03):
you have to year servers for breakfast and lunch, and
usually a little bit more for your dinner servers. And
then if you get room service, you'll tip them. And
for housekeeping. I usually do like four to five dollars
a day. Leave it at the very end. So a
couple other things on this resort. So they are planning
on having a convention center as well. That's going to
be like twenty thousand square feet. The total final project

(01:03:25):
has nine hundred rooms, so it'll be interesting to see
how this evolves over the next like five years. But yeah,
so far, I mean I loved it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
Yeah, I think there's gonna be a lot of additions
here in the coming twelve months. Yeah, like the things
you mentioned also to like the bike tours that they
were talking about doing off the resort. So we were there.
I don't even want to I don't want to say
too early, but what I do know is we had
a great experience. And it's just I feel like what
they're going to add is just going to enhance it.
I don't think it's it's not going to get you know,
it's not gonna go down, if anything's gonna get a

(01:03:58):
lot better. And I already think it's a great resort. Yeah, yeah,
I think I agree with you. It's one of the best,
probably the best all inclusive in all of Aruba. And
now they have a large all inclusive option that you know,
we are confident booking and we're not We don't tell
every resort like we are very picky and we have
been to a lot of all inclusives we don't like
and we just don't talk, don't talk about them. But

(01:04:20):
if you hear on the show like this, this resort
definitely has our back.

Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
Yeah. And just again some key things that you want
to consider if you are thinking about this. It's just
the location because again it is in a more remote area,
so just know that and then the beach situation. So
now let's talk about though leaving Aruba. So a couple
of things is, you know, I have seen horror stories

(01:04:45):
and videos on TikTok and Instagram of like people it's
taking like five hours to get through the Ruba airport
during like super peak times. So you definitely want to
get to this airport earlier than normal, even if you
are not checking a bag, and if you have status,

(01:05:06):
I still recommend it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
Tourism has outgrown the airport here, That's what's going on.
They need to expand it is.

Speaker 3 (01:05:11):
Yeah, but they also so in Aruba, you clear US
customs in a Ruba so that adds to some of
your delay. But basically they drop you off in one
terminal and there's a that's where like your main line
is for check in for your flight, and then you
have to go outside and then you go through what

(01:05:31):
I guess the security line.

Speaker 2 (01:05:33):
I can't remember which one. It's first, it's weird, you
have to go back outside and like the line goes outside.
I'm like, if it's raining, you're kind of out covered,
but you're standing in the Rain.

Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
I think there was like two separate security lines. Plus
there was then the line to go through like US
Immigration and Customs, and then plus you had to go
through one stating that you were leaving a Ruba. So
I have never in my life had to go through
so many lines leaving an airport. So you definitely want
to give yourself enough time for that. Now they do

(01:06:06):
offer a departure service just like they have like the
arrival fast track service like I talked about. So I
said this on the pod about the Bookooti and Tarra
Beaches or or when we did this, I said this
about it. I had a lot of heartburn overspending this
much money on a departure service, but I can tell
you it was one hundred percent worth it.

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
Oh my gosh. Yeah. So and we'll tell you some
of these that are must dos. This is one that
I think I must do.

Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
In my opinion, it was definitely a must do. So
it was also one hundred and fifty five dollars per
person for the departure. So if I had to think about, okay, well,
in my budget, I can only do either the arrival
or the departure personally, I would probably do the departure
because of just how crazy that was. But that's just

(01:06:55):
my personal opinion. So what they did though, is they
met us in like front of the airport counter, which
you have to tell them when you are leaving your resort,
so they know roundabout time when to expect you your
arrival to the airport, and then they escort you through
all of the lines, but you skip it, you skip everything,

(01:07:17):
and so that saved us so much time. So we
did get the option with the lounge too, and we
were in the lounge, and I want to say, the
people who arrived in the van with us to the airport,
by the time they got in there, we had been
in there like forty five minutes or an hour, it was,
so it was a long time that it took them

(01:07:39):
to get through that. And I have seen again on
like tiktoks and instagrams, like super peak times like holiday
travel and spring break, where it's taken people hours to
get through that airport.

Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Yeah, so get the departure.

Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
I definitely recommend the departure of the IP service. Now
they'll also help you your luggage too, so that lounge
is also an option. So the add on costs for
that's about sixty seven dollars a person, I personally don't
really think it was worth it unless you just want
like a quiet place to sit in the airport. But

(01:08:15):
it was really tiny, the food was terrible, and then
I mean you could get like free drinks and bottled water,
but it.

Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
Was just quieter overall. Still, I mean, man, I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
Really think it's worth the splurge, and my personal opinion
on that agreed. Yeah, I agree. So this resort does
still have some great like grand opening offers. So just
to give you an idea on starting prices, like in December,
if you're looking at, say a last minute getaway and
you're thinking you want to do something. In December, the
prices for two people is starting at eight hundred and

(01:08:47):
fifty eight dollars per night for the least expensive room,
and then in May it was starting at seven sixty
four nights. Oh wow, okay, yeah, and that's just like
your basic junior suite room. Now if you do you
have a room that says that just like junior suite king.
So your view could be just so you know, like
on the back side of the property, like overlooking a

(01:09:10):
parking lot or construction area. So just know that if
that is something you don't want and you want a
nice view obviously, then you need to get either an
ocean view or I would get the pool side terrace rooms.

Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
So yeah, and I think there's so much to do.
Like you and I we were talking to the podcast,
like we go to breakfast in the morning, like we
don't stay in our room that much. This is one
of those resorts where you don't need the nicest room,
you don't need the.

Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
Did like their preferred clubs swim up rooms though that.

Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
We did tour a lot of like we tore some
of the like the Presidential Switeen. Some of these resorts
are just rooms are just insane. But yeah, this one,
I think, like you know, I could get over a
view of the parking a lot at this resort, at
this resort, like me personally, like.

Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
But I like the preferred club swim up rooms those
you love, I do. And just so I will say
the one though, if you get one on the end
is not very private, so you just may want to
request us not having an end to one.

Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
Yeah, that one of the ends. And then then like
there's like a walkway there to the building and the
rest of the rooms and yeah, you just don't want
that end unit.

Speaker 3 (01:10:18):
Yeah, but I do love the rooms here, but yeah,
or the swim up rooms here, but just note that
on the if you're getting a regular room, what your
view could be. So again, overall, love this resort. I
can't wait to see how it evolves over the next
few years. And we would love to help you plan
your next vacation, honeymoon, special trip to this lovely place.

(01:10:42):
You can't give its call one one hundred and six
seven four three two seven eight. Slide into our DMS
or go to pining at travel dot com, click request
a quote and it comes directly to me. Then I
think that leads us into a question of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
Oh it's some for Question the day. Question of the day.
All right, we are back on ask reddit redditors over
thirty five. What do you genuinely miss that the younger
generations will never experience and you legit feel bad for them?
That is one of the top questions on ask creddits.

Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
So I think I know what you're in a s
I was gonna say my very first thing that comes
to mind, and I think about this too. And because
we've been traveling internationally for a long time now, but
being truly disconnected, where like you don't always have a
cell phone, or if you go on a trip and

(01:11:34):
you know, you you have your phone, so then you
have all your social media because you get Wi Fi
and you have social media and your email and you're
always connected to you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
That's the problem.

Speaker 3 (01:11:46):
Reality and life and I sometimes.

Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Not reality, but you're just connected. You're outside of reality.

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
Yeah, but I think that if I could go back
and experience like when we were on our honeymoon in
Saint Lucia and like we got the Internet package, but
this was thirteen years ago, so it was really before
like you know, most people had social media on their
phones and stuff like that, and so I don't know.

(01:12:12):
I just think if I could go back to that
just what that feeling is like being totally disconnected, that
would be awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
And I do feel bad that the younger generation never
lived in a time to know what that's like.

Speaker 3 (01:12:24):
Like I remember, like as a kid, like if I
traveled somewhere and you go outside the state and then
your phone, your cell phone would be considered roaming, so
you have to turn your fam yeah yeah no, and
then you're again just disconnected, like.

Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
I missed the days where I'm okay with phones for
like the safety aspect and emergency use, like you can
call someone if you need them. Yeah, there are some
days of my life that I wish phones would have
just stopped there. Yeah, everyone has a cell phone, but
just the ability to call somebody, not the ability to
check your email and check social media and text and

(01:13:00):
all the ways of DMS and email, all the ways
to communicate now. And I think, like not, I feel
bad for the younger generation because they're never going.

Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
To get to feel that I was gonna say and
just experience that like that. It's just kind of special
when you think about it and look back on.

Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
It, like like like technology, like we crossed a chasm
when like in twenty ten, I think when phones started
getting good enough where the Internet was widely available on them. Yeah,
then apps started popping up then different ways, Like it
just was a totally different world. And yeah, what's happening
now that I'm seeing that there's a lot of experiences

(01:13:37):
now where you disconnect from your phone. There's some I've
heard of some bars that you if you're going to
go into the bar, you have to put your phone
in like this safe yeah, it's pretty cool. Like yeah,
I kind of don't mind it.

Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
Or it's like when we when we've gone to some
comedy shows, like we've gone to see Dave Chappelle anytime
he's in Charleston, Caesar. Oh, we loved it, Comedian And
you know they make you like lock up your phones.

Speaker 2 (01:14:02):
Yeah, and they do that so you don't, like, especially
for filming some sort of like net special or something. Yeah,
and it's like it's just nice. It's nice, but it's weird.

Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
I'm like, okay, I'm actually not going to have any
access to my phone for this.

Speaker 2 (01:14:15):
It's kind of time. It's kind of scary again, but again,
that's how we lived for so many years. It's fine,
you know, it's it is what it is. But anyways,
I agree with you. Let's see some of the other
fun answers here. On Reddit, someone said early Internet, nobody
having a camera on them and we were all hammerdet
parties and misbehaving. Yeah that's the thing. Like I don't
like how society just films everything.

Speaker 3 (01:14:37):
Oh yeah, and like.

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
Like I'm we're YouTube bloggers and.

Speaker 3 (01:14:40):
I but like go anywhere without being filmed.

Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
We do it for work, but nowadays it's like people
are just filming to put make a you know, make
a social media post on their personal profile of like
like I see bad things on the air, like people
getting beat up, and then like these kids will get
in fights and instead of breaking the fight up, everyone's
on their phone out to record the fight. I'm like,
what kind of barbaric behavior is this?

Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
That's trust because our society sucks.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
So we're going, we're going downhill. Technology is gone up,
but you know, quality of society is gone downhill.

Speaker 3 (01:15:10):
Yeah, but it is.

Speaker 2 (01:15:12):
Guys. Book a triup with Pinac Travel. Then you can
just cut your phone off, sit on a beach and

four three two seven eight, or go to our website
