Speaker 2 (00:23):
What's up everybody? Hey everyone, welcome back to another edition
of the Note Before Your Travel Show. We've got the
show for you today on this amazingly April. Oh, pretty
much May.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
It is pretty much May. It is like we're in
the full swing of spring and it is like a
consistent seventy five eighty degrees here in Charleston. Love this
time of year.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
And it's my first podcast since I've turned thirty nine.
Oh but it was a fun birthday.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
I was gonna say, I don't know, You're not You're
not gonna get any sympathy from me.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
No, every time I talk about my birthday, you're like,
and I talk about aging, you know, Janet's always like,
just be glad you're alive. Be glad you're alive. Just
be appreciated of your life. Absolutely, or if I'm not
feeling good, She's like, just be glad you're alive. Yeah,
such a wise perspective from a lovely wife. No, I know,
I know. I am happy to be alive. Great, I am.
I am a lot of gratitude.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
But I will say so, we were watching some of
the NFL Draft over the last few days, and I
feel like we're finally at that age. And I'm sure
many people who listen to this podcast can relate where
the NFL players look like kids now. And I just remember,
like when I was their age and they look they
still looked like you know, men to me. Yeah, now
(01:35):
I'm like, oh my gosh, they look like kids.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
I mean a lot of them are twenty twenty one,
twenty two. Yeah, I mean it's just it's.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Like crazy that, like, you know, you look at that
now and you're like, oh my gosh, she's.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Just kidd No. Like when we're back in like sometimes
we go back to Columbia where Alma Marter is a
University of South Carolina, go Gangcocks and I'm driving around
campus and I see these just the students and I'm like,
oh my god, they're our children, like these are babies.
But anyways, just random aging thoughts Okay, we've got a
(02:06):
great podcast for you today. Sorry we missed last weekend.
What were we doing? Why are we so busy?
Speaker 3 (02:10):
We just we're just always busy.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
This is like going on last weekend.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
But anyways, what's your birthday weekend?
Speaker 2 (02:16):
It was my birthday weekend, so that's why we skipped
out on the podcast. So sorry guys, but no YEAP
thirty nine. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. We
did get a lot of d ms and emails. You
guys are the best. We have the best podcast audience
on the planet, and you guys are rock stars. A
ton of you guys have reached out for trips. We
love that. We had a great podcast today. And before
we get into I want to say, if you want
any more information or anything, you're about to hear and
(02:37):
we have a unique podcast today. This was a little
different than we normally do.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Yeah, and you know a few podcasts episodes ago. Sorry
I'm mean to cut you off. We said how we
are going to be doing like a little bit more different.
We're gonna talk about some different things and not just Caribbean.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
We're gonna give you a little more of a variety
over the summer I mean, we'll still be heavily focused
on the Caribbean on inquis resource, but we want to
give you a little taste, a little a little flavor
of something, you know, varieties of spicive life.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Well, yes, and we also love, you know, traveling outside
of the Caribbean, and one of my most favorite places
to go is Europe. And I just have to drag
George there.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
I don't I love Europe.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
I tell him, I'm just gonna start taking a friend
with me.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
No, I love Europe. I just prefer the Caribbean. I'm
more of a if I'm going to take time off
of work, I like to lounge and relax.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
We can lounge and relax there. We're gonna eat good food,
drink good fine.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
I am excited, trust me, I'm stoked.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
I mean, so, what we're going to talk about today
is our upcoming trip to Europe that we're doing. We're
going to give you guys a little preview about it,
and then when we're there, we'll of course try to
get in a podcast that kind of gives you our
initial thoughts, and then we'll do one when we get back.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
But what is really cool is we.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Are finally going to experience Virgin Voyages.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, so we are doing a I guess you can
call this. It's not really a cruise tour, it's just
a yeah, and we're hitting a lot of places that
we haven't been some some we have. But I guess
I'm really excited about trying the brand Virgin Voyages. Yes,
there is a lot of history with this brand because,
as you know Richard Branson who owns Virgin you know
(04:16):
the Atlantic and the airlines, and he's he does a
lot of stuff. He's always wanted to get into the
cruise industry. Yeah, and so this is his way of
disrupting the cruise industry. He also always has had a
passion for travel, so this was like a natural fit
for him to do this. And he did view the
cruise industry as kind of stagnant and stale. They're all
the same, you know, your big players, all of them
(04:37):
had buffets, all of them had a couple of restaurants.
His his vision for cruising is much different and he
wanted to shake it up. This thing's really catered towards millennials,
younger people, and so he just kind of pivoted where
the entire cruise industry just kept going in a straight line.
He changed it up a little bit, So I think
I'm very excited about this. A lot of the things
(04:57):
that he does on this on the cruise ship and
what they offer for it is very different than the
standard cruise offerings. Wouldn't you say?
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Yes? Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (05:04):
And I would say, to sum up what we've done
or what research I've done on this, is that this
is going to be luxurious but not formal, and I
think I think a lot of people like that. You
want something nice but not stuffy.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Yes, and yeah, that elevated experience, but if you're not
like super fancy bougie people, I mean we're boogie in
certain areas, I guess, but in most every time.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
I'm sorry, everyone's boogie somewhere. Everyone does have everyone, yes.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
But you know, in terms of like the cruise lines,
you know, I'm not like, I don't really care. I'm
not super bougie about that. But I'm really excited about
this because just it's gonna be a totally different experience,
and I think it's focused on your really good food,
elevated food from what you normally see. Again, there's not
a buffet.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
The entertainment's different Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
The entertainment, very high quality entertainment, different kinds of shows,
I believe they also you have some comedy shows on there,
which I mean that can you know, on the larger
ships is pretty common.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
But and Virgin Voyages since they've launched and they've only
been around for a few years here, so yeah, they
are cleaning up the awards.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah, they were supposed to launch in twenty twenty April
twenty twenty, and we all know what was going on.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
I had to probably post he postponed.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
That, Yeah for like a year. That what an awful
time to introduce a cruise line.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Yeah, and so but since they've been going after the
pandemic here, they have been cleaning up the awards. They
have won Best Cruise Ship for Dining, Best Adults Only Cruise,
Best cruiseher for Entertainment, Best Cruise Ship Line for the Money,
Best for Fitness, Best ocean Line Large Ship Category, Best
LGBTQ Plus for Travelers, Best large Ship Cruise Ships, any,
(06:49):
Best mega cruise Ships, I mean, Best Premium Cruise. I mean,
these awards go on and on and on and on,
and it's really impressive that he just started this in
twenty twenty and I think it shows that he found
a niche in this industry and he's he's completely pivoted
from the norm. And I'll tell you what one thing
I'm not going to miss about cruise cruise lines is
(07:09):
the buffet. Like I'm I'm glad that he doesn't have
this massive buffet with all these tables everywhere and everyone's
up there during the same time for.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Breast and you get the runny eggs, you get the yeah,
just like it's just like, that's one thing that drives
me nuts on cruise ships. In the breakfast buffet. Well,
you're picky, I know, but the eggs are like it's
like they're sitting in water. I'm like, I don't want
my eggs swimming.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
You're too picky, like my eggs. Just go go to
the omelet station. Say can I have three eggs? I scrambled,
Well done, Yeah, yeah I do. You're just you're just
too picky.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
I guess.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Be glad you're alive, Okay, deal with those eggs. Just
be happy you're alive, okay.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
So this version of Voyages, they have four ships. The
very first one that was introduced was the Scarlet Lady,
and that is the one that we are going on.
It is nine hundred and twelve feet long. So just
give you an idea on this side. So, the largest
cruise ship in the world currently as of April twenty
(08:07):
twenty five is Royal Cribbeans. I kind of the seas
which world Caribbeans known for, you know, constantly getting larger
and larger ships. So that ship is eleven hundred and
ninety eight feet long, So just give you an idea. Now.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
One thing too, I love about the ships too. We're
talking high level. Is that Another thing that I think
he's done that's brilliant is he's made them very noticeable.
So when you see a Virgin Voyages ship from Afar,
and I'm talking miles and miles away, you can you
know it's them.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yeah, we saw it when we were at Sandal's Royal
Bahamian a few years ago and we were on the
private island and we were like, wow, that's a big ship.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
And then we knew right.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Away because it's because of the gray color.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Because of the gray and red.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Every cruise ship it's very smart, it's just simple. But
every cruise ship in the world is pretty much white.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
Right, And he said, scept Norwegian has it like all.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Those most so, yeah, they have some colors on the side,
but like what a just a simple, a brilliant thing
to do to be Like, I'm going to be different.
I don't want my cruise ships to be white. If
every cruise ships painted white, I'm gonna make it gray. Yeah.
And it just stands out from so far away and
it turns heads because people haven't seen a gray and
red cruise ship or scarlet if you will, Yeah, cruise ship,
and like it just people stare at it. It's a
(09:17):
it's a head turner. And I think it's great. I
think it's brilliant.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
Definitely marketing.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
He's a marketing marking. Yeah, I mean there's a reason
he is where he is because I mean he's just brilliant.
But I am. I am personally excited because a lot
of the things that I know you and I like,
he's what these cruise ships offer it, you know.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Yeah. So this ship has fourteen hundred and four cabins
in swites. Eighty six percent of them have a sea
terrace with a hammock max passengers twenty seven sixty two
and the crew is eleven hundred and fifty people. So
we have booked a central sea terrace, and a lot
of other cruise lines have kind of gone into this
(09:55):
as well. So we did bid on an upgrade and
we told this, yeah, so you can this on other
cruise lines as well. And actually the last cruise that
we took, which was in summer of twenty twenty three
on Princess and it was another Mediterranean cruise, we had
been on an upgraded room and we actually got it,
and this one, I don't think we're gonna get it
(10:16):
because it looks like the ship is very, very booked.
But you can bid a certain amount for an upgraded
room and then they let you know once you're within
like ten days of sailing if you got it. So
they give you kind of like a recommendation. So I
said one thousand dollars, and it was for one of
(10:36):
their rock Star suites, which is the rock Star suites
come with some added amenities, which we'll talk more on
probably in our full review podcast, but we'll see if
we get it. I don't know. I'm not gonna holme
my breath, but otherwise I'll still be very happy with
the sea terrace that we got.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
I think it's great idea to how these cruise ships
can generate extra revenue from that to say, hey, if
you want to upgrade, just place a bit like we'll
figure out. And then they gave multiple bis I a
pick which one that want to take?
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Well, yeah, and oftentimes, you know, when you think about it,
you put down a deposit on a cruise and then
you have it paid in full and then so like
you're kind of over having that money spent, so then
it's like, oh, well, maybe I can spend a little
bit more, you know, after it's you're kind of far
removed from you initially making the purchase. So it is
(11:22):
very smart.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
No, I love it. I love it, and if we
don't get it up, I'm happy, you know.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Yeah. So one of the things that is really neat
about Virgin Voyages or just that they that I like
that they include is there's no extra gratuities like the
price that you see online that is your all in price.
So oftentimes with not oftentimes, but with all of the
other cruise lines, they have gratuities that go towards like
(11:48):
the service people who service your room and the waiters
in the restaurants, and this is already.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
All included in that fair, yep.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
And then they don't have rich packages, but they have
what's called a bar tab, and so you can basically
kind of pre pay for a certain amount of drinks
and then if you do that, they do give you
a bonus. Now, the downside is it's kind of like
a game because you're gonna guess, like how much am
I going to spend on board because you don't get
(12:19):
it back. You don't get refunded, you know, if you
don't use all of the bar tab that you have.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Yeah, so you get a little discount though if you
prepay it, right, yes, yes, which we get smart.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Yeah, yeah, so I think we I bought like three
hundred dollars and then they gave us like an extra
twenty five or thirty bucks.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
That's cool.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
Yeah, so that's kind of like a free drink.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Or you can use that drink.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
You can use that like an accino or anything. Right,
that doesn't make sense?
Speaker 3 (12:44):
I mean at the bar in the of course, yeah,
but yet not in the casino, gotcha, gotcha?
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Yeah, So the itinerary that we're doing, and then we'll
kind of get into a little bit of information like
on the cruise and the dining options. So we are
going to be flying into Barcelona and then it's got
several stops, so it goes to Canns France, Corsica France, Majorca, Spain,
(13:12):
and then Overnights and Abiza, Spain, which is really cool.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
And after our last trip, George was like, I don't
want to do any history.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Well no, I love No, I'm actually fascinated by history.
We just didn't. I like when I go to Europe,
I like to do more food and wine stuff.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Yeah, he was like, I don't want to do anymore this.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
No, I wasn't. Gosh, you're you know you're you're being
a little harsh here on it, Okay, but you you
just I want food like I missed, Like.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
You said, if I'm going back, I wanted food and
wine focused.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
And somehow you so everything we're doing is food and
wine focused.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yeah. And somehow you've done a good job getting me
back like every year now, multiple times a year.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
And well I've already told you that, you know, we
can do something else or I will invite someone else.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
I want to go.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
I'll take a friend. If you're going to complain about it.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
I know I'm not complained about it.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
I'm just I'm sure a lot of our friends up
to replace you do not replace me.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
I'm going I want to go.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
Well, then don't complain about it.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I'm not complaining because George, it's the flight. It's the
flight that just gets me every time, no matter what
we do, no matter what we do, the chime change,
time change, I am wrecked for like a good forty
eight hours, Like I'm just like a zombie, and it
takes me a while to adjust, and I just I
struggle with that. Ei. There's got to be people that
empathize with that, like the flight over there, no matter
(14:31):
if you're in first class or it doesn't matter. I
can't sleep on a plane. Yeah, I've never fallen asleep
in my life on a plane. I've probably flown far
more than the average American has all these flights. Never
fall asleep, not one time. And then I sometimes I'm
on a flight and I see these people just zonked out,
Like you take the early morning flight and everyone shuts
the thing, shuts the windows and it's dark on there.
(14:53):
Everyone's out and I'm just sitting there wide awake. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
I don't really sleep on planes either.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
I'm not a bad flyers. It's not like a nervousness
or anything. I just it's maybe it's the noise or
maybe I'm just a light sleeper.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
It is a lot no it is just like a
lot more noisy.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Yeah, there's just stuff going on. Like it's not an
environment where I can sleep in. But then I've I've
sat next to tons of people where they're out in
five seconds they sit on a plane, they are gone.
Now look at them. I'm like, how, Like I'm jealous,
Like I wish, I wish I could do that. Yeah,
it would be so nice, just falls about a plane.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
Yeah, definitely would.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
So one of the ways that we are combating some
of the awfulness of traveling to Europe, you know, twise.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
The time change.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
That's all dealing with the time change. Yeah, so we
did this last year when we did our Finland trip.
So we are flying to New York because New York
has day flights to London, and so if you don't
want to do the overnight because it completely wrecks you,
this is a good way to go, especially you know,
(15:53):
if you're on the East Coast and can get up
to New York like the night before, which is what
we're doing, and then we're leaving at like seven forty
five am New York time, and then we get to
London and it will be seven forty five pm London time, yeah,
which was I think like two p you know, about
two pm East Coast time.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
And then we'll stay up, you.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
Know, for a little while. We'll like you go to
the restaurant that we're staying at, the same hotel that
we've stayed at that's attached to the airport.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
To Sophie Tael, Yeah, you pretty much try to stay
up till like midnight one amyah, which is their time,
and then your time's like it's like eight pm. Yeah,
so like you're you're you can still fall asleep. It
does help. It helps it ay for me my body.
The next morning I'm up and then like I'm back,
I'm still on like I'm still on the same time,
like I'm not, I'm not on European time yet. That
(16:44):
first night's better, but then the second night's worse.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
I see, I mean last time, like I was immediately
the next day once we did this, Oh, they were good,
and I'm like, all right, I'm on time. I'm good.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
I'm gonna hope that I can do that. We'll see.
I mean, if I it's fine, if I have if
I'm up, if I'm wide awake at three, it's okay. Yeah,
I just I've learned to just deal with it. I
just have I would just battle through, so you know
what I mean. And then maybe by the third night
that I'm kind of like, okay, I'm figuring this out,
you know.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Maybe so so then the next morning we're flying to
Barcelona and getting on the ship. So you know, it
does it's kind of like, you know, you're piecing it
together a little bit. It's it's not the best most
efficient way you know, to get somewhere like this, but
it works for us, and it's just you know, easier
to adjust to the time. Now we're flying on British
(17:34):
Airways over there, which British Airways is a code share
partner with American Airlines.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
So the last time we did this, they.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
And every so often you can see that it's offered
if you are an American Airlines Advantage member and you
let's say you have their credit card, you use a
lot of miles or get a lot of miles to fly,
you can sometimes redeem those miles, like through your American
Airlines app on a British Airways flight and we did
this last year and we got first class for like
(18:05):
fifty thousand miles, which is a really good deal.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Oh that's cool. Yeah, so we know we were able
to work deals in the flights and it's nice. Like
that does help. Anybody can do it.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
You got to look well in advance, So book early, Yes, absolutely,
book early. So a couple things about this trip that
we're doing or and in terms of the I guess
like dining options and when you can book those so
you can make excursion reservations one hundred and twenty days
(18:37):
in advance, you can make dining reservations forty five days
in advance, and on this ship there's six dining venues
that require reservation and then everything else is like kind
of casual eateries. Like they described it as you have
like almost like food truck style.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
I think it's like their version of a buffet, but
it's not a buffet. Yeah, which I got check this out. Yeah,
I got it. It's gonna I think it's gonna feel
like a buffet, but we'll see.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Well, I think you just walk up and it's like
just more like fast casual order and then you go
sit down.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
That's different. Okay, that is different. I'd rather have that, Yeah,
because like the buffet thing too, like you know, everyone's
touched in the same thing and like.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
You know, like the same like survey handles and stuff.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
And you know, I've just seen I've just seen too
many people walk out of a bathroom not washing their hands. Yeah,
I've just seen that too many times in my life.
I've traveled too much. I've seen it. Yeah, you go
in the bathroom, someone's like leaving the urinal and they
just walk right out and I'm like, dude.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
Bro, that's really gross.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Wash your hands, man like. And I'm not like a
mega Germoff. Maybe I have a little German, but I'm like,
just wash your hands, people, and then they'll touch the
door handle. I'm like, no, I know.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
So of the dining reservations are venues that require reservation.
There's the Extra Virgin, which is the Italian love the name,
by the way, yes, and then the Wake, which is
staking seafood. We're eating there the first night.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
I cannot wait to try that. Yes, they're they're winning
awards about their food. I know. So I love good food,
very very so I'm like, all right, let's get the
steak on. Come on now. Yes, Princess does. I mean,
as we were talking about traditional cruise lines, Princess does
have a really good steakhouse. They do.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
I gotta give contest credit the Crown Crown Grill.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Crown Grill.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Uh. Then they have Rizle Dazzle, which is classic American.
Pinka gave Upscale Mexican gun Bay, which is lively cream barbecue.
And apparently you sit like it's community tables, and then
they have an test kitchen with it says innovative food.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
I kind of want to do that. I saw a
video on the test kitchen. I kind of want to
try that. I think they do wine pairings with that too.
I think they do, like a little thing.
Speaker 4 (20:44):
I'm so picky that that makes me nervous.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Well, be glad you're alive. Okay, you're gonna go. You're dragging.
I'm going on this, and you know I'm gonna go
two three nights without sleep. You're you're going to the
test kitchen with me. We're gonna we make compromises here
on the note before your child.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
There you go, so like I mentioned you can make
dining reservations forty five days in advance for people in
the rock Star cabins, and sweets you can make them
sixty days in advance.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
So yeah, I'm excited. So we do have the second
which ones we have? We have Segancy for the wake
and then what else?
Speaker 3 (21:16):
I have all of these books except for the really kitchen?
Speaker 2 (21:18):
What about we're overnighting in Abiza. We're gonna eat dinner?
Are we gonna eat dinner there?
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Then?
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Yeah, I don't think I have anything book that night?
Speaker 2 (21:25):
Okay, perfect, perfect, So I do. I think that is cool.
It's one thing I like about this itiner is we
actually have an overnight in Aviza where you can actually
enjoy the night life and the food and then get
back on the cruise ship and go to bed where like,
and then you wake up the next morning you're still there,
which I think is pretty cool. I know, I don't
know if we've ever know we've done that before, we've
overnighted in places before? We have on cruise ships. No,
(21:45):
not once. Have we overnighted anywhere?
Speaker 4 (21:48):
No, not that I'm aware.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
I can't remember. Maybe maybe I'm crazy, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
I mean this will be I need to go through
and count. This is probably like our twelfth thirteenth cruse
on a lot of them.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, I like that.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
And then we are doing another one later this year,
but we're not gonna give you that info yet.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
So we have lots of fun travel coming up.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
It's gonna be a change of pace. Hopefully our ratings
stay strong because I think a lot of people tune
in for the Caribbean stuff, but we have Caribbean. We
have plenty of.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
Caribbean stuff, and we're doing Caribbean. We have we have
a big Caribbean vacation, but we're not going to tell
you guys that yet either.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Just keeping everyone suspense.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
I love it, so yeah. I was trying to look
at the Abiza So I think we get to Abiza
on Saturday night, yes, or Friday night, and then we
overnight there Friday night and then we're there all day Saturday.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
So yeah, which and I think that's like, that's one
of the most popular destinations because everyone knows the song.
I took a pill and a visa. But you know,
there's a party side of Abiza. There's a chill side
of Abiza. A lot of great sunsets and the visa.
So I think there's a lot to do, a lot
to explore. I think obviously the night life is what
everyone talks about, and we're I kind of want to
(23:04):
explore the old town of Abisa. Yeah. I mean there's
a lot of cool stuff seeing and that's historic. We'll
do stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
And I kind of like, you know, one thing that
I traditional cruises, and I think Richard Branson actually mentioned
this in interview once, the traditional cruises, that they just
feel like they's so such a heavy schedule. Yeah, like
everyone's you know, disembarking at the same time, everyone's getting
on and off the boat, and it's just like got
(23:31):
to be here, got to be here, to be here.
A lot of people felt this way. I think this
cruise it's exhausting sometimes. Yeah, you get off the cruise,
you're tired. Yeah, because like it's like you have to
wake up at a certain time and get off the boats.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
If you dock at like seven am and you're like,
I'm doing this tour, I have to be off the
ship at seven thirty am. You're not like sleeping in relaxing.
So it's definitely a different change of pace over a
non inclusion.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
And then like you're getting a sticker and you're being herded.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Like George doesn't like the group cruise excursions, which I mean,
I get it, don't like them. I do get it.
It does feel like you are like kind of just being.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
You're trapped, heard it around, Like if you want to
like veer off and see and look at something or
do something, you can't. It's like get on the bus,
time to go.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
Like it's just like I be here at a certain time.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
Like I guess, like you know, working in the industries
that we work in, it's like things are rigid enough,
and when I go on vacation, I don't want to
be told, wake up, be here, you're gonna do this,
You're gonna get on this bus and you better be
back on this bus at a certain times we're leaving
you and then you're just like constantly checking your phone
and it's just like I don't know, I just I love.
Like some of my most memorable European trips is where
(24:34):
we didn't have anything to do and we went out
and explored our own on Rome and did things like that.
It was awesome.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Oh yeah, and that's when we didn't have to be
a certa time, which we are at the end. We're
going to be doing things on our own.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
I love that. Yeah. I love walking around exploring, talking
to locals.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
Like, yeah, I'm creating our once we talk back in Barcelona.
We're staying in Barcelona, and I'm creating like our own
little food and wine tour itinerary. Yeah, you just do
on our own and then we'll share with you guys
when we get back, and then we can.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Find the places that we look at, and then we'll
research and be like, oh I want to try that,
and then we'll just make our own. That's awesome. See
that's fun.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Okay, So we have a little bit more to cover
beating on.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
A massive bus and just being just not my thing.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
Well, well we're gonna talk a little bit more about that.
We have a little bit more to cover. But first
we're going to get in a very quick commercial break
for thirty seconds to pay some podcast bills.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
We'll be right back, get right back speaking of the schedules.
Thirty second break. All right, we are back, Thanks for
sticking around with us. Got to pay some podcasting bills.
All right, Where are we going next with us?
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Yeah. So a couple cool things about this ship. So
they have a tattoo parlor if you want to get
a tattoo at see they have that.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
I've got a lot of people do regretful things when
there's a tattooed parlor on a cruise ship.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
Yeah, when you've been drinking. Yeah, it'd be interesting to see,
like how many people we see in there.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
I kind of want to just have a drink and
just sit outside, sit outside of it, see who's going
in there? But what do you get? Yeah? Which about
what are about to do?
Speaker 3 (26:01):
Yeah, I don't know that that would be interesting. There's
tons of bars on this ship, which I'm very excited about.
I'm a little disappointed there's a reftop bar, but only.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
Rockstar guests can go to that.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Oh man, that is a bomber.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Maybe we'll try to buzzle our way in somehow. I
don't know. Yeah, here's somebody a tip.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
Did you know that tattoo removal is now more it's
a bigger business than new tattoos. Yeah, I have heard
that the tattoo removal business has gotten very popular. Yeah,
but anyways, that's neither here nor there.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
Okay, onto the next Yeah, so lots of different bars
on this ship. There's a craft drought house if you're
into craft beer. They have that. They have restaurants in
all of the or they have bars and all of
the restaurants. It looks like which if you've been listening
to this podcast for a long time, you know, George
loves that about an all inclusive resort and a cruse ship.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
Got a bar in the restaurants just to have it
just it feels normal. Yeah, it feels normal to me.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
Yeah, they do have we have a vegan and vegetarian
dishes on board and all of the venues, which is nice.
We actually have a couple of friends who are vegan,
so that is an option. And then you can have
items delivered to your stateroom. They do room service. Looks
like it's ten dollars delivery charge. You can also order
(27:20):
breakfast room service the night before, like pick the time
for it to be delivered to your stateroom in the morning,
which we're gonna try because that sounds like a great idea. Now,
one of the things I love about cruise ships is
the casino.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Yeah, they do with the casino, which is fun.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Yes, I'm not sure how big this one is, but
I would imagine it's very comparable to other casinos on
cruise ships. So we're not huge gamblers at all by
any means. We usually are like, Okay, we've got two
hundred bucks each or one hundred bucks, and we're gonna
take a black jack and if they have poker, then
(27:56):
we'll do that too. And they do have. It says
they have Texas hold in a poker, So hopefully it's
like a real table and not the virtual one like
on most cruise ships.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
You cleaned up on the last cruise we were on.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
Yeah, so this guy was like talking crap to me
every night and then the last night I cleaned him out.
I literally cleaned him out. I want like one thousand
dollars or something.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Whoah so and it was like all of his money
paid for our like a cruise tab there.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Yeah, I got like very aggressive and like super like
just super confident. I was like Jennifer Tilly from two
thousand and four and now.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
You're aging yourself. But she was a rock star.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Yeah, you know, she's on Real Housewives Beverly Hills.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Now she is, she's a real housewife. Yeah, I guess
she's not playing Poker anymore. I did not know that.
I mean, I don't keep up with the Real Housewives
like you do.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Yeah, I watch it religiously, but yeah, she's on there.
And yeah, she was on the World Poker Tour in
the early two thousands.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
So that's the name I have not heard in a while.
But yeah, she was popular back in the day.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
You know. Side note, We're gonna just kind of branch
off real quick. Do you know who she married?
Speaker 2 (28:56):
No clue, I have no idea.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
She married the guy who created the Simpsons, and that's
how she's so rich.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
I have no I didn't know that.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
And like, so he left her.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
She has a nice bankroll.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
Yeah, he left her. She gets royalties from the Simpsons
for life.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Oh so they're divorced now, Yeah, I think he.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Might have passed away, I think now. But yeah, before
in their divorce, she got royalties from the Simpsons for life.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
Are they still they're still making new Simpsons right, yes.
I think that's been going for like thirty years. I
think is the longest standing show ever, I'm pretty sure.
As the Simpsons. Yeah, that's amazing.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
So she's very, very wealthy.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
But Bart Simpson, who started as like an eleven year
old is still eleven later. Yeah, what a show.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
So yeah, I got very confident on the last night
of the last cruise and I was Jennifer Tilly in
like two thousand and four. So I'm aiming to do
that again on this ship on this cruise. But like
every night, I got a.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Sugar mama, I got a sugar mama. It's good.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
A poker yeah, well we'll see. Well you taught me
how to play poker, so I did you learned from
the best. But yeah, today, as as far as uh,
the casino games that they have, they have blackjack, all
your you know, standard craps, roulette, three card poker. Now.
They do do complimentary gaming lessons on embarkation day, which
(30:16):
is nice.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
So if you're it's fun, if you're new, you want
to like play, you want.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
To learn how to play, they do complimentary gaming lessons
so that that's that's really nice.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
So yeah, they even have a you know, one of
the things that kind of was surprising me. They have
an arcade, so I guess it's like an arcade for adults.
I think that's pretty cool. They have a gaming space,
they do they have karaoke, so they do They do
have some of the traditional items that you would find
on a cruise, but I'm sure they're obviously geared towards adults.
It is adults only. I just want to reiterate that
(30:45):
entertainment is supposed to be next level, so we're excited
about trying that out. A lot of great shows, a
lot of great experiences. They have Scarlet Night where everyone
everyone was red. I don't own anything really red. That's fancy,
so I have to like buy a shirt for this,
like a scarlet colored shirts.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
So on the app they have the full itinerary lined up.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Talk about the app and how important it is for
you know, if you're going to travel anywhere, how important
is to have the app beforehand?
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Yeah, well, pretty much all cruise ships now everything is
done through the app, like all your check in and
you know, you book everything they tell you, you have
to go and book it on the app.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Yeah. So, and WiFi is included on this area.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
That is another huge Yeah.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
Two virgin and it.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Makes the app easier to use on the boat, right.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Yeah. I don't know why more cruise lines don't do this.
It's brilliant because why would you not want people, you know,
to have access to free Wi Fi and then they can.
They're sharing on social media, posting about it and making
other people want to go on your cruise line.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
I said that years. If you go back to some
of the earlier, earliest podcasts we did, we used talk
about cruises a little bit more back in the day. Yeah,
like back in twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Yeah, we've went on like a cruise hiatus for a while,
like basically with the with COVID.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
Yeah, and so then we just stuck to all inclusive resorts.
But anyways, I used to say all the time, like
why in the world would they make you pay for
the Wi Fi? Like this is free promotion, Like the
value of having your brand and people's news fees that
their friends are going on is like you can't put
a dollar amount on that, And so they would actually
back in the day, you would like pay for minutes.
It was really bad. I don't know if they still
(32:19):
do it that way.
Speaker 4 (32:20):
Well, some you pay for minutes and then some you
pay for unlimited.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
But speeds are different, right like this yeah, like World crebing,
and it's not minutes. You just buy like a device package.
But like Princess, it's minutes.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Yeah, but now they have like the Princess Plus packages
and you get.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
You know, I remember way back in the day, you'd
bring your laptop and it was everything was minutes, or
you would go to the internet cafe. These cruise ships
had like these business yea, these internet business cafes with
the big computers, and I feel like you could get
on the internet and like check your email and stuff
like this is mega old school.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
I feel like you could be really disconnected from reality
on cruises.
Speaker 4 (32:59):
Back then, like ten years ago, that was the plus
to it.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
You you had to put your phone away, and I
think there's something good about that.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
I mean, but with smart phones now nobody can put
their phones away.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Well also too now they're they're they've tapped into you
using your phone to book things, and they it made
the cruise it more efficient knowing that you can book
your reservations, you know, through your phone instead of like
calling somebody or doing something on the ship. So it
kind of made everything more efficient. But I do miss
those days where like you would sail away, you would
watch America just disappear and you're like, my phone is off,
(33:32):
and then you would sit there and watch your phone.
Your phone signals slowly.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Now I can't like disconnect from the business totally for
a week, oh me either.
Speaker 4 (33:39):
Yeah, yeah, you know it would be crazy.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Yeah, it just wouldn't work. But that's how it was
back in the day. It was kind of nice. Then
you would get n I remember, you get on land
and then you're like getting some sort of international cell
signal and you can like check things and your phone
would blow up with all these messiages and stuff.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Oh man, back in the day.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Simpler times. Man.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
Yeah, our very first crew that we ever well, we
ever did together. You did one when you were a kid.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
I was sixteen. I went to Alaska.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
Yeah. But outside of that, the very first one that
we did together was in two thousand and nine, and
we did which got sixteen years ago. It's so crazy
we did.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
The ship's not even in circulation anymore.
Speaker 3 (34:19):
No, it was real Caribbean's what majesty Monarch of the Sea,
Monarch of the Seas, And we did a three night
Bahamas cruise and that literally sparked my love for travel.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
This was before I was even selling travel.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
It was your first time leaving the country of the Bahamas.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Yeah, it was my very first time leave in the country.
My parents never did any vacations like that. Our vacations
growing up were just going to the beach, going that
like Ale of Palmas or Folly Beach here, and then we.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Went on like a cruise string or cruise all the time.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
Then we went on another one like that, like a
five next year.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
Yeah, it was like eight months later we went on
another one, and then we just kept booking and we
went on one like every year except.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
For the year we did our And then we fell
in love all on clusive resorts.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
Yes, and then we went to and.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Then we fell in love with all travel. Now here
we are. Now we have a company, you know, ten
million in sales. Later here we are, Yes, there we go.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
So back to the entertainment really quick, kind of run
that down and then we'll kind of tell you what
we're doing at the end. So they have like your
total your normal musical shows. They have a drag show,
they do some theater shows. They have a PJ party
one night, as George mentioned, the what'd you say, the
(35:34):
scarlett scarlett.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Yeah, Scarlin, it's like a fancy night. Everyone wears red apparently.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
Yeah, and you know I do I am glad that, like,
you know, the formal nights on cruise cruises are like
they've moved away from like over like overly like prom Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
So yeah, I used to hate that. Yes, that's another
thing that I'm glad, like I don't miss about the
old school cruises because I mean, I remember, I'm pretty
sure my first cruise in two thousand and two or
two thousand and one, maybe we had to wear tucks.
People wore tuxedos back in the day on the cruise. Yeah,
I don't know, Yeah, yeah, I remember, and I'm pretty
(36:09):
sure I could be wrong.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
This was on I mean I remember you used to
bring suits on cruises or definitely not to that cause
we're going to carry on only on this strip.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
No, no, for sure. No, But what was it?
Speaker 3 (36:18):
It was?
Speaker 2 (36:19):
What was that cruise line I did?
Speaker 3 (36:20):
It's still around today, Holland America.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Holland America. I was on Holomic and I'm pretty sure,
like I remember the airline lost our luggage and we
got to Alaska and that was a mess trying to
get our bags back on the ship on the Alaskan
Cruise tour and they had to like I remember, I
got I had to rent a tux and I'm pretty
sure the ship had tuxedo rentals, like you go rent
(36:43):
on that ship. Yeah, And so I remember I did
that because like I didn't have anything to wear because
my luggage was gone, and so I got I had
a tuxedo rental, and then I ate. That's where my
horse story I hate for horse radish start.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
George thought it was rice and he ate a whole
thing a horse radish.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
I was so hungry, and this was like they still
do this today in the traditional cruise ships where they
pair you with other random people in like the dining room,
but this is back when that was like the only
option was the dining room, and they I was so hungry.
I was like fifteen years old. They put down a
big old steak in front of me and it's formal night.
I'm wearing my tucks and there was like a little
ramikin next to the steak, and I thought it was rice.
(37:21):
I don't know why I was a dumb kid. I'm like, oh,
that's a little mini thing of rice. But it was
raw horse radish, raw, which looks like rice when you
see it. I took that whole fork and the first
thing I did before I even touched my steak. Is
woof down that entire gum ramikin of horse radish, and
(37:41):
it burned my entire esophagus into my stomach. I spit
it up into my napkin, left the table, and they
never saw me again.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
And to this stay George hates.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
And now because of that one instance, I can if
there's an ounce of horse radish in anything, just the
tiny smell, I can taste it. Don't want it, Yeah,
don't want it near me. I can smell it. I
don't like it. I mean when I jump into the
ocean and if someone dropped they spe a grain of
horse radish in Europe and I'm over here in Charleston.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
I could take this. Oh my gosh. Okay, anyways, so
they have a rock style or rock nineties show that'll
be cool, and it says playing all the greatest concert
nineties jams.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
And they do the same thing for the eighties. So
like they have a couple of different like generational shows
for the millennials, gen xers and millennials and yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
I'm very excited about that. And it says pro tip
to help with planning your dinner and evening planning your
dinner reservations. Most showtimes start between seven thirty and eight
pm and ten pm in the Caribbean or eight pm
and ten pm in the UK and Mediterranean voyages, and
run for approximately sixty minutes. So I need to go
back because like, I definitely want to see this rock show,
(38:55):
so I need to check our dinner reservations for that night.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
I'll probably be in bed because I'll be on three
nights and no sleep.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
So and then they if they do have a nightclub
on the ship, Oh and they have it, says fun
Y two K.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
They do come yeah the white Yeah, yah, that's gonna
be cool.
Speaker 3 (39:11):
And they have a nightclub that's open until two thirty
in the morning, which we'll probably never see.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
But so it's a lot of theme. They do a
lot of theme stuff here. They do a PJ party
where it's you, where your pajama is very informal, just
like fun things that aren't overly formal. I think the
Scarlet Night is their twist on a formal night. Yeah,
where you don't have to wear I'm sure you don't
have to wear anything super fancy, but you could. You
can dress up if you want to feel fancy.
Speaker 3 (39:33):
I would have to look up this guy. He's a
comedian One Night beautiful.
Speaker 4 (39:37):
Definitely have to plan to go to that.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
I love a good comedy show, me too.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
So anyways, we got, we got, we got a lot
to look forward to, and obviously the itinerary we have
is going to be exciting to plan to eat a
lot of great food and drink a lot of great wine.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
And then so we're staying in Barcelona at the end
of the cruise. And we have been to Barcelona before,
but I say, we never really visited it because we
got off of a cruise there back in twenty fifteen
and then we had to go right to the airport,
so we didn't experience Barcelona. So we're staying right in
the heart of Barcelona at a beautiful hotel called the
(40:14):
l Palace Hotel. They have a rooftop bar in restaurant,
which we love, and like said, we're going to create
our own little like food and wine tasting tour. We
are going to the Las Cigratta Familia, which is like
the most famous architectural spot in Barcelona. Yeah, so we're
doing all of that and at the very end, and I'm.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Very excited Yeah, it's gonna be a great trip.
Speaker 4 (40:37):
Yeah, and then we're going to come back and jump
right back into work.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
I love it. Yeah, I love it. Now. I'm super
excited about this trip. I know I joke about the
time change and all that, but no, all in all,
love doing Europe, love doing new cruise lines too. This'd
be a brand new cruise line, so new experience. I'm stoked.
I'm excited. The food and wine is going to be excellent,
and I'm very excited. If you want more information of
anything you heard, because we book a lot of Virgin
Voyis cruise we book a lot of cruises in general,
so I will put all.
Speaker 3 (41:02):

been on like multiple Virgin Voyages cruises who can answer
a lot of questions for you too.

Yeah, so we'll put all the links in the show notes.
How to get ahold of us, you can reach out
directly to us what's our number.
Speaker 4 (41:16):
One eight hundred and sixty seven four seventy eight, or

We do it all, everything in between. And now it's
time for Question on the day, question of it. Then
we're going to reverse it. Your working the question of
(41:40):
the day.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
I don't like it, Yeah, so I want to ask
Reddit because Reddit is great.
Speaker 4 (41:45):
And yeah, so I'm gonna do it this time. I
found this one. I thought it was pretty cool. So
would you rather have.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
Three million dollars and just be you know, regular role
us or have thirty million dollars be world famous?
Speaker 2 (42:01):
So clearly the questions geared toward being world famous is
a downside because then you can't go anywhere in private.
You can't really, you know it, right, I think, like,
I don't know what it's like to be a world
famous celebrity, but I'm sure they struggle, like just with privacy,
and every time they go out in public they're being
oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
Like Justin Bieber made this post on Instagram yesterday and
I was like, this has to stop. And it was
literally him filming him walking out of a restaurant and
there's like twenty paparazzi with cameras just flashing in his
face like NonStop.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
That's insane.
Speaker 3 (42:31):
I would hate that. I would much rather just live
a very quiet, humble life. Three million dollars would go
a long way humble.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
Yeah, with three million dollars, Yeah, now that's I mean,
I'm pretty sure that's where we go. Because I feel like,
if you're really smart and good with money, you could
turn that three million into a lot more, absolutely, and
you can just live it. Yeah, you can live a
private love day. But by the way, his program, we
don't follow this program, but but I think it's great
for ninety nine of America that you know, that work
(43:02):
and they've got to get their bills. Like it's awesome,
Like I love I love his podcast in the show,
it's fantastic. And uh yeah, I just would much rather
have three million dollars in just little a private life
than thirty million.
Speaker 4 (43:13):
Yeah, like that does nothing for me.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
You know, we know people, I mean, we know people
in those We know people that have that kind of money,
and then we know and we know people that have
just a few million dollars, And the difference in lifestyle,
surprisingly isn't that different.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
Yeah, I don't think it's.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
Your life doesn't change much from but definitely a couple
million to thirty million, it just doesn't change that much.
You're just gonna take on a lot of headache.
Speaker 3 (43:39):
Yeah, And I just feel like, yeah, definitely the world
famous part, No, thank you.
Speaker 4 (43:42):
I would never want to do that.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (43:44):
You don't even like being on cameras. People ask like,
why don't you ever show Jannon in the vlogs. I'm like, well,
she hates being on cameras. The last thing I want
to do is like stick a camera in or face
while we're traveling.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
They think that George is all about mebe b thinks
he's on the videos so much. But really that's just
I don't like being on camera. I mean, it took
forever for me just to do this podcast number one
and number two, like get used.
Speaker 4 (44:08):
To doing it and be comfortable with it. So yeah,
I just I don't like stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
Yeah, We've got a few comments or they just think that,
like I just that George is a douchebag.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
But I'm just.
Speaker 2 (44:18):
Filming myself the whole time. I don't show you, And
like I don't want to say on the vog Hey, guys,
you're gonna see more of me than you will see
my wife because she just doesn't like me on camera.
I just roll with it because I know she doesn't
like it, so full disclosure. That's why you do see
more of me. Sorry, if you don't like me, I
do my best be entertaining when you.
Speaker 4 (44:35):
Put yourself out there. The comments that you get is
very interesting.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (44:38):
Thanks for keeping it interesting with some of you.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
I'll never get the one comment where he's like, this
guy definitely drives a BMW. I'm like, I do not drive.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
Yeah, he said, this guy is so smug and definitely
drives a BMW.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
I was like, WHOA like BMW took a stray bullet there.
I don't know what's wrong with the BMW brand anyways. No,
I actually drive a one hundred and seventy thousand mile car.
My car has almost two hundred thousand miles on it.
It has been twelve years old, it has been paid
off for many years. I hate car payments. Yeah, so
it actually couldn't be for the actually commented back on
that one. I was like, actually, I drive a car
(45:12):
that's worth about nine thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (45:14):
I'm twelve years old.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
So yeah, still roll's good though, Yeah, because see like
that those are like I love like talking about Dave
Ramsey plan stuff. We're big believers in little to like
no debt, low bills, you know, cash flow everything, because
the more cash flow you have, the more freedom you have.
And if we didn't have cash flow, we wouldn't able
to start pinne.
Speaker 4 (45:33):
Travel And the more yeah, freedom that you have, the
more you can travel.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
Flexibility. Get the flexibility, guys, I'm telling you all right,
well the heck drop those car payments.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
Well that sums it up. Guys, Thank you for listening.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
Again.
