What is up everybody? Hey everyone, welcome back to another
edition of the NOE Before You Go Travel Show. We
got a show for you today on this beautiful April morning.
It is April Birthdays right on the corner. Masters Week
just finished. Congratulations Rory, Yes a what a Master's that was.
You know, Rory has that reputation of choking, of not
finishing tournaments. It had been ten years since he won
(00:45):
a major, So congratulations to Rory for completing the career
Grand Slam. Yeah, and making it an exciting extra holes
Like if one of my favorite golfers isn't in it,
I'm always cheering for extra holes. Yes, I just want
the drama. I want the action. I want like I
love watching golf eight on a Sunday where every single
shot matters and it's extra holes. That was good. That
was like, But when he missed that putt on eighteen
(01:06):
to win it. Oh gosh. I think the entire golfing
world cringed. I was like, ooh oh, it's like a
four footer.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
I've even gotten to where I like watching golf. It's interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
It's a great sport. And I'm playing. I got a
big tournament coming up, the Stella Memorial.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
So we got a big tournament coming up. That's May one,
the fourth, so that'll be exciting. Well, I'm playing some
pretty good golf going into it. I'm feeling good. Yeah,
and it's just me and my degenerate friends. It's not
degenerate's we got a good curve.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
It's your friends going to uh, Myrtle Beach.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah, we have a nice gold trip planned.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
The Dirtle is what is the nickname that South Carolinians
call it.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
It has great golf though, And I will not be
podcasting about Myrtle Beach. There'll being podcast episodes about Myrtle
but we are not here talking about Myrtle Beach or golf.
We're here to bring you the best travel knowledge in
the game. So thank you so much for tuning in
with us today. And we got a great pot cast planned.
We are going to talk about how do we frame
(02:06):
this up here? Because we have we have this might
be the podcast that we have the most resorts we're
going to talk about in one podcast.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Yes, and I'm what we're gonna do is kind of
give you our top resorts for twenty twenty five honeymoons
in a on a lower end budget wise that we recommend.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
A mid low and high budget.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yes, mid low and high.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
We're gonna We're going to give you resorts that'll accommodate
every budget range. Yes, best resource for honeymoons too. And
honeymoon resorts, what are some of the things you think of?
So you you've did the hundreds of resorts, like what's
what's a good honeymoon resort? How would you describe that?
Speaker 3 (02:43):
And you know these are also good for Some of
these are good for like anniversary even friends vacations. Some
of these you've heard us talk a decent amount before.
But definitely, I think the most important thing when you're
planning a honeymoon is go adults only if you can.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
I could not agree more. I think that's probably one
of the common mishaps that if you're just looking online
or just googling and looking at pictures. You'll see something like,
oh wow, that looks really pretty. I want to go there.
You saw YouTube d I want to go there, but
probably doesn't necessarily meet like your expectations of romantic And
when I hear honeymoon, I hear romantic intimate. It's got
to be like just private. You're kicking off your lives
(03:20):
together or anniversary trips also too, you want it kind
of just special. Yeah, so these resorts give you that
little special edge, and I love I think all these
are adults only, right, just about all of them. Yeah, yeah,
we only go adults only on this episode, So this
is good. I like this. You probably get asked this
all the time, like can you give me a range
for my budget?
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Like?
Speaker 2 (03:39):
What give me some options for my budget? Right, because
you usually can. You can accommodate most budgets unless it's
super super.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Low, right, which I mean some of these though, Like
I was actually surprised, like our very first one that
we're going to talk about, which we'll just go ahead
and jump right.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
In, So we'll start with the low you want to
start with the low low. In low budget, we just
mean like the smallest budget doesn't mean it's lower bad
because these resorts are freaking awesome.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah, No, these are all good And kind of how
I did it was resorts under five hundred a night
for a couple all inclusive. That's the lower options than
mid is between five hundred and under a thousand. Most
of those. Most of the mid though, ended up being
like between five and seven hundred dollars a night, and
(04:25):
then above a thousand dollars a night for.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
High Yeah, so we're a comminating all budget ranges here,
and some of these, like the first one we're going
to talk about, that's a really good value. Holy smokes,
are we gonna talk about them?
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah? That price is awesome. So yeah, let's jump right
into secrets. Royal Beach. So, first off, what I want
to say, and you've heard me say this many times
if you're a longtime listener, but your best bang for
your buck destinations for an all inclusive vacation honeymoon is
going to be Puntakana, then Mexico, then Jamaica. Outside of that,
(04:58):
the destinations just the price, yeah, drives the price up.
So it's not necessarily the resort that you're paying for.
You're paying for the destination. So and these are all priced.
I did October of this year. So yeah, Secrets Royal Beach.
So love this resort. Flying to Punsakana fifteen minutes from
the airport. It's got six hundred and thirty nine rooms,
(05:21):
five Oli Kart restaurants, and then you can also you
have access to the five restaurants right next door at
Dreams Royal Beach, eleven bars. This is coming in at
three seventy nine a night for a couple.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
That is ridiculous. Like when I saw this on the list,
this is probably the lowest price option. I was thinking
the lowest price option it would be a resort where
I was kind of neutral on this one. Actually is
a fantastic resort in Pana. I've stayed there myself. Yeah,
we stayed there. We've stayed there both before the renovation.
After the renovation.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
They had some they did full renovation on all of
the rooms during COVID, so they still have like a
more modern, refreshed look to them.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
They do. And if you went to this resort pre
COVID and you didn't like it, because we went pre
COVID and we did not love it, I mean it
was it needed.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
A lot of work, It needed renovation.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Had it was like a it was a it was
a resort that was in need of renovation on a
fantastic beach. It's like a It has like a fantastic
They call it good bones, right, they said about a
house got great bones, It just needed to be updated.
The update. They changed all the restaurants, the pools, everything
essentially except for the bones of that one swim a
bar seems brand new and so. And I love that
(06:31):
it has a casino on site.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yeah. I was gonna say, there's aasino on site, so
if you want to do a little bit of gambling
you can. There's also a nightclub, so you know it.
I think it's the perfect It gives the perfect balance
of if you want that peace and quiet and relaxation
like on a honeymoon, or if you do want a
little bit of liveliness. It's the perfect mix of both.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah. And it's not a mega resort. It does. It
does say six hundred third nine rooms, but it doesn't
feel it doesn't feel that big. Yeah, because they did
combine the neighboring resort, didn't they or.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
That it's not including that count.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Yeah, Okay, that makes sense, but.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Still it it doesn't feel as big as it as
six nine.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah. I remember when I walked into Sigatrol Beach after
going with you, I went back for something else and
I walked in. I was like, oh my gosh, this
is completely different. The lobby was big and beautiful at
a coffee shop. I'm like, wow, they did a really
good job. So hats off Sigatroll Beach in great value.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yes, and this is on Bavaro Beach, which is like
the main beach in Punta Kona, beautiful, calm waters. It's
a public beach, so that you know, if you want
like jet skis or go parasailing or you know, anything
like that. Like, it's all offered right there at the
resort by local vendors on the beach. And then the
(07:43):
resort also has like hobbycats and kayaks and paddle boards
that you can use complimentary love that, love.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
That, and guys, if you want more information on anything

by the way, our podcast audience is awesome. We love
working with you guys. Yes, ok, all right, what is next?
We have four options here at the affordable budget range.
What is next?
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Yees?
Speaker 3 (08:22):
So next up is the Valentine Imperial Maya. So this
is south of cancuon kind of in the area of
Plietal Carmen, So about like forty minutes or so from
the airport. Five hundred and forty rooms, seven oli kart restaurants,
eleven bars. It's locally owned and the food here is
really good, and they it kind of they incorporate a
(08:45):
lot of like just the Mexican vibe into the resort. Beach.
Heers fabulous and this is coming in at four forty
nine per night.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Yeah, I would say if you're comparing the and a lot.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Of the rooms have been renovated too.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Sorry, if you're comparing Valentine to Secatrol Beach so the
two we've just gone through. I would say before before
the renovation of Segatrol Beach, the Valentine would definitely take
the cake and food. I think it's a little closer
now with Secrets. Yeah, updated like the restaurants are awesome,
but Valentine's. Valentine's a nice safe go to I think
(09:18):
in this range.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Yes, absolutely. They also have a variety of you know
on resort water sports that are included as well. So uh.
And also this area that this resort is in, there's
a ton of things to do off property. So if
you like a lot of adventure sonees like the Rio
Secreto anything like.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
That is so much fun.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Yeah, there's a lot of great stuff to do in
this area.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
You want some adventure outside of the resort.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Yes, Now moving back to Puntacana So Excellence El Carmen.
So this resort's about forty minutes from the airport north
of like Bavara Beach. So the beach here is pretty,
but it is on the Atlantic side, so it's not
as nice of a beach I say, Secrets Rail Beach.
(10:07):
This is in Pentchacona.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Could be a little rock here, you know, the water's
a little Rock here.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yes, so this resort has four hundred and ninety four rooms,
thirteen restaurants, sixteen bars, tons of things to do on property. Also,
I'm into pods real quick. Pretty much. All of these
resorts have some sort of complimentary honeymoon package too, that
you know, includes a variety of things like bottle of
champagne on arrival, basket of fruit, turn down service, the
(10:35):
xcell Cel Carmen actually gives you like a free twenty
minute hydrotherapy session.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
I like that those are so underrated. More people need
to utilize that. Yes, I feel like a lot of
great resorts do that. No one even knows about it. Yeah,
so you get a freeze, but what they're doing is
they're using that to get you in. Then they want
you to get a couple of massage or something like that.
But we you know, I wasn't a spa guy before
we got into the travel business, right, a spa guy. Now?
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Oh I love a spot.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
I love a spa.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Yeah, and all of these resorts that we're talking about
have a spa.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
So rub my booty down.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Oh my so excellence. El Carmen is coming in at
four hundred and forty one dollars per night starting. So
one of the things that I love about this resort
too is it's it is adults only. It's pretty much
couples only. There is only one room category that can
accommodate three people, so essentially that makes it a couples resort.
(11:29):
I've done several weddings at this resort already this year.
It's a great option for that too. One of the
things I do really love about this resort, especially with
the affordability of it, is the room categories that they have.
So you know the other two that we've talked about,
So Secrets does have some nice upgraded room categories, like
rooms with private pools and stuff like that, but Excellence
(11:50):
also has a lot of options for.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
That, tons of options, it's insane.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Yeah, like rooftop terrace suites, a.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Lot of private pools. Yeah, I think like pound for pound,
if you're big on the room and like you want
a private pool or a hot tup or something like that,
You're gonna get a better room experience at Excellence than
you would in a lot of other resorts. Yes, they
just have so many room categories.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
There's like especially in the yeah, and especially in this
price range, it's hard to really compare with any anywhere
else in the Caribbean. And by the way, we're focusing
on Caribbean and Mexico clusives for this episode. But it's
such a great resort for that if you're really into
(12:31):
wanting like a super nice room.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah yeah, hey, and on your honeymoon room, the room matters,
I think.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
I mean, you're gonna spend some time in there.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
You gotta ge a little brown chicken, brown cow all
the honeymoon.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Maybe you want to start a family ride away, So corny, okay?
So next up, last one in our most affordable budget
friendly category and.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
This is couples only too, right, yes.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
So couples San Succi love this, yees. So this resort
is in Oja Rios, Jamaica. So it's about an hour
and a half from the Montego Bay Airport or on Saturdays.
As of right now in April twenty twenty five, there
are flights from Miami into Oja Rios and then it
would only be like a twenty minute ride. So this
(13:18):
resort has is like Georgia, adults only and couples only,
has one hundred and fifty rooms for restaurants, seven bars.
It has like they renovated pretty much the entire resort
a few years ago, and this area of Jamaica has
a ton of adventure type activities to do. So if
you're you know, an adventurous couple, this is perfect for that. Also,
(13:40):
couples has a lot of the same water sport inclusions
that Sandals does, so you can kind of get that,
you know, with this a more affordable price. And it's
a great resort, very low key, kind of quiet right back.
It's Yeah, I would definitely say it's very romantic.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
On this list, that is the most romantic if you
want the romance field because you're getting you're getting adults
and couples only.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
I also field too, Yes, but I also feel like
smaller resorts too generally offer like a little bit more
of a romantic vibe because it's just like chill and
laid back.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Could not agree more. Yeah, Like, I think for something
as specific as a honeymoon or like a big time
anniversary trip, if you don't want to break the bank,
this is a fantastic option to get about as a
romantic of an experience as you can get. And then
there's so at forty five a night, there's other upgraded
things you can probably do at the resort to to
enhance the romance, right, like you could do do they
(14:39):
do cantle like dinners?
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Dinners yet for two hundred and fifty bucks a couples massages,
different things like that.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
So you're getting in at such a low price, you
might have a little bit room with a budget to
add on those special things to make your trip extra special.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
But and also generally most they say that tipping is
not accepted. I mean, and we've seen people tip at
couples resorts, but it's kinds already say yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Yeah, couples couples.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
No.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Grill's pretty good too. I want to give them a
shout out the rooms. The rooms for me me personally,
I think some of the rooms a couples of the
grill could be a little more updated. Yeah, but I
think that's also we'll give them an honorable mention. I'm
I'm going to assume they're roughly in that same range
of four five night.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
I did look at it. It was a little bit
more expensive just because you're paying for it's a little
bit seven mal Beach.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Yeah, you pay for seven mal Beach and you also
get like the pool there is really cool. There's a
lot to do. Yeah, all right, time to move in
our mid range budget friendly resorts. Okay, so just summarize
series World Beach, Valentine, Imperial Maya excellencel Carmen, Couple of
San Sushi, and honorable mention for couples, no grill in
the low budget not a low budget, but those are
(15:42):
that's a good value. It's good value.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Yeah, yeah, don't say a little budget. Yeah, that sounds
like degrading.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Well that's what we said.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
We started off with no I know, but like just
in the I guess more affordability.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Range, affordable range, affordable.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Yeah, so moving on to mid range. So next up.
And I was actually surprised and how low this was.
And then I looked at uh, so I'll go and say.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
The way I want to say before we get here.
We have some heavyweight hitters in the mid range. We've
got some I mean, these are great values too, at
these probably because some of these are just barely above
couples sansucci, right, and they're worth every penny above couples
because the increase in value it seems to be a
lot here. Okay, yes, do continue.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Queen, Yes, So The first one is Sandal's South Coast.
So I was actually surprised at how there wasn't that
big of a price difference in this resort comparing to
Sandals Ochi. And you might be wondering why I didn't
list Sandals Ochi in the more affordable range. So of
all of the Sandals resorts, Sandals Oci is the lowest,
(16:47):
the lowest price one. It's the most affordable option. I
just think a lot of the rooms need to be renovated,
and I'm not the biggest fan of the layout of
the resort. They are working on the renovations though, so
it's good. But this resort was only like sixty bucks
more night then you gotta go here. And so I
love Sandals South Coast. I think it's so romantic. The
(17:07):
part of Jamaica that it's in is so serene. You
just feel like you are a world away from everything.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
You really do. Like, I'm shocked, so going through this
list here, I'm shocked that that made the list, and
a couple of these other ones made the list. But like,
what's great about Sandals obviously is that they are all
couples only. It is a they really do a great
job of gearing the experience to romantic. Yeah, to romance,
and they do a great job of it. There's a
lot of enhancements you can get. What I would do,
(17:36):
I would even say, if you have a larger budget,
I would go this is kind of a little hack
we can do if you have a larger budget. Look
at some of these mid range resorts, especially we have
a couple Sandals on here and upgrade to a butler. Yes,
that's a good debate too, do you do you go
mid range and get a butler? Because to me, Sandal
South Coast is not a mid range resort. That's a
premium resort. That's one of our favorites.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Yeah, it is definitely one of our favorite to do. Yeah,
the resort again, just the feel of it, the whole vibe.
Talking about it, I'm like, I need to go back.
It's been a while since we've stayed there. But the
beach is great. There is some seagrass, so you'd want
to bring I recommend bringing some water shoes for that.
This resort has a ton of pools, very large pools,
(18:19):
two big main ones with swim up.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Bars, pickleball, tennis courts.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
There's a huge pickleball.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
The upstairs piano bar is amazing.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
Yes, yeah, to a lot of pickleball courts, so it
there's a lot to do on resort.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Yeah, great sushi. I mean, by the way, only three
hundred and eighty rooms. That resort is massive for only
three hundred eighty rooms.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
Yes, it understand that it has a big footprint. But
that's one of the things I love about it too,
is that you it never feels crowded.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
No, not at all.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Are there because of how big and spread out the
resort is.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
It's probably one of the largest resorts from a footprint standpoint,
But yet the room to the room to ach ratio
is very low here, which is a good thing.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Yes, and they do have overwater bungalows here. If if
you do want to get real crazy on.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
The budget, yeah, that would not be mid range.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
That is not mid range.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
But I could see upgrading to a club or butler
here and still doing pretty good on the budget and
the butler experience too. For a honeymoon or a special anniversary.
The Butler's worth it, guys. We get asked all the time,
is the butler worth it? I think for a honeymoon
or an anniversary. It is absolutely worth it, especially in Jamaica.
Jamaica has some of the best butlers in their brand. Yeah,
we have never had a bad experience with a Jamaica butler.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
Yes, and a lot of the actually, pretty much all
of the rooms here have been renovated. I mean the
in the Silver Sun Village they were last done in
twenty seventeen, but they still have like the lightwood, you know,
bright paint colors. Everything's been refreshed all the way to
the Long Beach Village, which they did a full renovation
(19:52):
on that last year, added swim ups and tubs to
the balconies, which that's the old French village if you
have been to this resort many years ago. So this
is just such a good option. It's one of my
most booked resorts for honeymoons and for destination weddings in
the Sandals brand because this is a great resort for
that too. It is kind of far from the airport,
(20:13):
about an hour and a half, but it's worth it
once you get.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
There, absolutely absolutely.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
And oh and so this was coming in at five
sixty per night, eleven restaurants, seven bars.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Love that, yes, love that great, great I can't believe
that made the Mids. I can't believe a great job
and the next one take me home. Country Roads is
what I think of when I think of this resort
because this is one of our personal favorites. We travel
there a lot.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
We were just there a few months ago. So it's
tallier Playamu Harry's.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
Is it a Talier or Taalier, tallier whatever, because it's French,
right Rata Tomato so five hundred and ninety three rooms,
thirteen restaurants, twelve bars, two coffee shops.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Very modern Mexican vibe to this or. It's about forty
minutes from the Cancun airport. This is in Plimer Harry,
so north of the hotel zone. I love this resort
just for everything, like, oh my gosh, it's great for
group trips. It's great for honeymoons. They have some really
cool suits like swim out suites, rooftops suites. If you
(21:20):
do you want to upgrade the room, that's not going
to be in the mid price range.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
We saw a destination wedding there. I mean, I think
it's fantastic for destination wedding.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
The food here is outstanding. I think they have some
of the best food of most All inclusives that we've
been to.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
And they have a wide variety of options like fantastic seafood.
They have a dedicated steakhouse which you get a great
experience in. They have two sushi options. I mean, there's
just a lot to do here, a lot for everybody. Modern,
super clean, great service, and I would say the food,
food and beverage shine through here. This is where you're
going to get some of your best food and beverage
(21:54):
at any All inclusive in my opinion.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Yes, and this site golf on site. This also has
an amazing gym. They have a pretty large gym, just
compared to most All inclusive resorts. They also do like
bike tours in the area, tequila tastings, painting classes, pottery classes.
There's so much to do here. So if you are
(22:17):
an active couple but you don't really want to leave
the resort, it's great for that. And then I love
the wine and chartoody for the hour.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Oh my gosh, just the little touches like they do
mixology classes, they do art classes. There's an art shop
on site. Yeah, so they do. I mean, there's just
so much they do there. It is a experience going
to itally applying me here is great. So glad to
see this is in the mid range, not the high range,
because I think this warrants a higher price, but I'm
glad it's still staying. I've read relatively affordable price.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
It used to be super say, I remember talking about
it and it being like four hundred a nights, and
now it is six eighty eight per night for a couple.
This price is based on October of this year.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
I think it's still fantastic. And it used to be.
It used to be where they had a family friendly
side to it. Now it's one hundred percent adults only,
and they renovated that side and kind of instead of
a kiddie pool, they kind of made everything. They put
swum up bar there. It's way geared towards two adults
now and just you will not have a bad experience
at Italia. I am shocked this on in the high range.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Yes, so this is one of my just all time
favorite resorts.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
So we go. We go almost once a year.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
Yes, I know, and I should tell you a lot guys. Yeah,
we haven't had so we were there at the end
of January and that's the last time we traveled, and
I'm like, I'm really really getting the itch yeesh, the
itch yes, right right, which we're not gonna we are
leaving and going on a big trip one month from
today actually, but we're going to tell you about it
on probably the next episode.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
So yeah, and this will be the last episode before
my birthday. Oh my gosh, I turned twenty nine. I
can't believe it's my last birthday in my twenties. Oh crap. Okay, okah, Plus, all.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
Right, We're going to get a quick commercial.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Break in you read it me out, yes.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
And then we will be right back, be right back.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
All right, we are back. Thanks for sticking with us here.
Now we are bouncing to another I can't believe two
sandals made it in the mid range.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
Yes, And one of the reasons that I put this
one in is because it is outside of you know, Puntakana, Jamaica, Mexico,
and you can get in to this destination at a
pretty affordable price. This resort is very special to George
and I very very special because it is where we honeymoon.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
So we have a little bias in this, but it
is an It definitely warrants outside of me and you
personally going there for far honeymoon. I still think at one
hundred percent warrants being on this list, especially at this price.
And guys, do not go to Hawaii. Don't break the
bank and go to Hawaii. You can you have Hawaii
and the Caribbean at this island too.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Yes, So Saint Lucia Sandals Regency Let Talk, So this
destination is just absolutely amazing. It is the Hawaii of
the Caribbean. In my opinion, I think it's the prettiest
island in the Caribbean. Tons of adventure type activities for
you to do this resort is stay at one, play
at three. So there's two other Sandals resorts in the
area and you have complimentary access to both of them
(25:16):
with shuttles that run every two hours. I love this
resort because it does not feel like a hotel, feels
like a village. Now, the beach here is not the best.
It's kind of it's on a cove, so it's not
the best for swimming, but it's still pretty. At this resort,
there's three hundred and forty five rooms, ten restaurants, nine bars,
and again you have full access to the other two sandals.
I love the vibes here. There's like, you know, perfect,
(25:40):
It's perfect for like peacefulness, relaxation. But then they do
have some great eating entertainment. Pub can get a little
rowdy at night if you know, getting on the crowd
that's there. So it is about an hour and a
half from the airport.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Now it is very spread out to it's not super mobility,
it's not super mobility friendly, so you.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
Know, yeah, yes, so it's about an hour and a
half from the airport. Transportation is included with Sandals, or
you can get to the resort a few other ways.
There's a fairy. There's also a helicopter. I just love
everything about this. The sunsets here are amazing. You can
also get in in a pretty affordable price for butler
(26:20):
rooms here.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Yeah, and go hike the pizzans too, so great for
active couples. This is a unique destination in itself, so
that it's not like you know, a lot a lot
of I've heard people say, well, if you've been to
one Caribbean island, you've been fall No false like this.
This is volcanic island. It screams like Hawaii vibes and
the topography of the resort. You have lookout points from
(26:42):
various cliffs. I mean everywhere you look. This screams beauty.
Nature like nature and the Caribbean and resorts collide here.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Yes, and it's coming in at six hundred and twenty
dollars per night for a couple, so that's and getting
in and an adults only was only. It's an amazing price.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
So yeah, not the best beach here, so if you're
if you're a super beach lover, you might want to
look somewhere else. But personally, like the pools make up
for it. It still is a decent little beach. Ye,
it's kind of like, kind of a quaint little beach.
It's not quite private, but it feels mostly private. You
don't get you don't get many locals, yeah going down there.
But yeah, it is, man, it's just special. It's a
special place. And then also to you, I like what
(27:24):
you said, you do get access to the other two
sandals that are in the area. So if you want
to go experience the other sandals, like the Grand or Houcian,
you can go do that. Yes, all of those are unique.
What's really cool about the three sandals in Saint Lucia's.
They are all very very different. You would you would
think that, oh they're all three within a few minutes
of each other, and they're all in the same destination,
(27:44):
their same brand. It should be exactly the same. Couldn't
be more opposite. Like the Grand has a different feel.
The Grand has a better beach like on a cove
a little bit Halciands, a little bit more of big
water views you get and much more European flare. I
would say, at that's how I feel.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
I mean, it's just very like small, quaint, authentic.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
It's very authentic Calcium. It's just like it feels local, right,
Like it feels very local there. So anyways, they have
three different vibes, three different resorts, and you can stay
at one and play at three.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Yes, and then one quick note on the Sandals will talk.
So I think on their website they're still advertising that
they have golf on site. That golf course has not
been around for like two years, and they've built some
rendezvalls back on that old golf course, so I'm not
so sure that it's coming back. So just something to note.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
And the golf it was a nine hole golf course,
pretty short I played it a couple of times. I think,
yet it doesn't doesn't it doesn't wow you, it doesn't
allow you, right, And so I'm okay that they As
an avid golfer, I'm okay that they got rid of
the golf course and added Rondevalls. I think right, THETA
had two choices. You either had to add rooms and
make more room offerings, or you had to put in
(28:55):
a lot of money to fix that golf course up
to make it what it should have been. Because I
can see a lot of people from the outside looking
in and saying, oh wow, there's a golf course on
site and it's included. This is incredible. Then you go
there and you're very disappointed. It's it was about the
quality of a muty right, But just because I think
it's really hard in that area of Saint Lucia and
like the volcanic soil to really well.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
I mean just the heat and sun beats it down
and the salty air.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
I think it was just really hard to keep up.
So I think it's a really good move what they did,
really really good move. And Sandals has fantastic golf in
their chain, fantastic golf, so, like I know a Zoom
is going to be a beaches, but I do want
to play. We might I'm planning my fortieth birthday or
kind of like softly it's making my birthdays fortieth. I'm
kind of thinking I want to go back to the Egzuomas. Yes,
(29:41):
kind of thinking that for my fortieth.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Yes, instay at Foulcay, stay.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
At Foucay, and then also play golf at the Sandals
eg Zuoma Golf or now Beaches I zooma golf course.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
Yes, I don't know when I mean, I guess the
golf course is still open, but.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
One of the most beautiful golf courses in all of
the Caribbean.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
Yes, all right, now I'm moving on. So last one
in the mid range. So this one's very different, but
I've booked it a decent amount this year. So it's
Keyona Beach Resort and Antiga, so it's a very boutique property,
only forty rooms, one restaurant on site, one main bar.
There are restaurants that you can walk to in the area. Though,
(30:19):
if you're looking for like just that Caribbean real beach vacation,
relaxation where like you that's all you really want to do,
is just lay on the beach and do nothing, melt
away and melt away. This is the resort for you.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
I think that's a great option for let's just say
you had a massive wedding wedding and for those, by
the way, send this to a honeymoon couple. If you
know someone that's planning honeymoon, planning a wedding, send it
to them. Hopefully this podcast will help them. And I'll
always share the note for a travel shop by the way,
always share it. Anyways. Yeah, this one though, like if
you had a very big, massive wedding, planning a wedding stressful,
(30:56):
The whole wedding is exhausting in itself. This is the
perfect relaxation post wedding. If you just want to melt
away in a Caribbean chair, this is the place to
do it.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
And Antique is known for their beaches and they have
three hundred and sixty five beaches, one for every day
of the Year's like one of their slogans. There's also
a lot to do in the area, great snorkeling, all
sorts of adventure type activities, so it's perfect for.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
That love it, love it. Okay, now we're getting into
the high range budgets and for some people this might
be medium for some peoples. Love for some people it's
really high. We just price them out. We how we
price them out so or we how we categorize them.
But yet we've got some, We've got some heavy hitters here.
We have been to these each of these as well,
(31:40):
and we have a lot to talk about here. These
are also very different.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Yeah, these are all very different. So first up, Hammock
coved Antiga, so sticking with the Antigo. So the beach
at this resort is a little bit smaller than it
is at Kyona. Forty one rooms, two restaurants, four bars
on site, A lot of the villain or the majority
of them have like some sort of private pool option.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
And the rooms are a little better here than the
last one so compared.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Yes, they're more modern. So this resort is kind of
if you're looking for that same vibe as Kyuna, but
just like a little bit elevated and everything, this is
the resort for you.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Yeah, love that it's coming in at twelve fifty two
per night only forty one room. So small resort.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
And do we say what Kyuna Beach Resort was.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Kyuna Beach came is coming in at five sixty. You
mentioned that this is a seven hundred dollars per night jump, right, so,
but you're getting an incredible room. I think the experience
is definitely elevated here a couple more restaurants and bars,
so you have two options there for food and four
options for drinks. Just a a more luxurious experience, we'll
(32:46):
call it if you're comparing the two But seven dollars
a night, that's a big jump. That's over double Keona. Yes,
what you could do is do a little split stay
if you want to experience them both. I was going
to talk about the budget and half.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
I was going to talk about that at the end
because I have several clients who have done split stays
like with some of these. So next up, And it
was hard for me to narrow down the Sandals, but
these are kind of like my most booked ones this year.
So Sandals Saint Vincent, so it's the newest in their
portfolio of resorts. Opened last March of twenty twenty four.
(33:21):
This resort's fabulous.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
It's amazing island too.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
It's stunning. Yeah, it sits in like a valley. I
think it has one of the prettiest uh like settings.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
Yeah, it's very scenic when you're there, so it's very
What's interesting is like Saint Vincent isn't the most flat
island out there. There's some pretty high elevation, you know,
it's like Saint Lucia's, But this resort happens to be
on a very flat piece of land. It might be
the flattest piece of land in all of Saint Vincent.
And it is surrounded by kind of cliffs and viewpoints.
So it's a very beautiful scenic setting that it sits in.
(33:52):
But I love that the resort is flat, Yeah, because
it is pretty widespread, but it's not much elevation, so
still easy to get around. I love that the bike
seem to hop on the b I can go where
we need to go. We did that. By the way,
jodn't even mentioned. We have a lot of flogs on
almost all of these resorts on our YouTube channel, So
please guys, if you want to check out more of
these resorts and what we're talking about, go to our
(34:12):
YouTube channel. Tons of logs we document our entire travel
experience at all of these resorts. We have just about
all of them.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
We have the majority of them, the majority of them.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
Yes, So if you want to see what we're talking about,
just go click that. After the show's over, click the
YouTube channel and just go make him Margarita. On a
Wednesday night, lean back and say, I'm gonna watch some vlogs.
I'm gonna call ping a travel pick out one of
these resorts.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
There you go. So this res ours three hundred and
one rooms, eleven restaurants, nine bars. It is very spread out,
but they do have the bikes. It's about forty minutes
from the airport. I just think Saint Vincent is such
a unique destination. Yes, kind of like Grenada, like it's
untouched by tourism.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
It is.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
Yeah, So if you are looking for something unique but
you don't want to like, you know, go to Europe
or you know, something like that, or go to French Polynesia,
this is so perfect for that if that's you know,
what you're looking for. So starting price is one thousand
and sixty dollars per night.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
Yeah, and if you really value there's.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Also a lot to do on the island.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
So yeah, locked on the island. A couple of tidbits
here that makes us unique for me too. If you
really like you know, modern, Like, this resort is brand new.
Everything has been redone, everything super modern. This resort has
the biggest rooms out of any resort I think I've ever.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
Been to the well some of the villas yeah, are
absolutely huge, Like they're bigger than our first place.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Like we had like three showers in our Butler category
room that we had. I mean, so go check out
the vlog. It showcases the room really well. Everything has
been modernized, brand new. I love the restaurant offerings here.
They do have a butch'es. A lot of their restaurants
sit on the water, so they have really good viewpoints
from them. You have a lot of pools. You have
(35:55):
a huge, huge, beautiful like kind of like they call
it the party pool, big pool. Then the quiet pools
and that has TV's around it, which I love. Then
the infinity pool that looks over the water, looks over
the ocean is the quiet pool and that's a good
vibe too.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
Well there's also a quiet pool back by the lobby
that's in the shape of the heart.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Yeah, they do the quiet pool, Yeah, the shape of
the heart. And they also have two coffee shops. So
this resort is so spread out that they have to
have two coffee shops, a lot of new dining concepts here.
I'd love the dining concepts newer. Yeah, the seafood restaurant's fantastic,
and the overwater chapel here. If you do want to
do a destination wedding, yeah, is stunning. It's like brand new,
(36:37):
breathtaking views, very romantic feel. Yeah, I'm glad that one
made the list. And yeah, it's honestly it's at the
low end of the quote high range. So there, yes
it is.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
Yes. So next up is price it Yeah on thy
sixty per nights. Yep, this is in October of this year.
So next up is Impression Islam your.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
Harris Impressions Isla my slice of Heaven on Earth. Oh
my god.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
So this resort is again more of like the boutique style,
one hundred and twenty five rooms. It's on ISLAMI Harry.
So you fly to Cancun and then you take a
ferry over there, so you like you feel like you
are a world away. So if you you can get
to Cancun from pretty much anywhere in the US pretty easily,
it's a very accessible destination. But if you so, if
(37:27):
you want that like the ease of travel, but then yeah,
busy as Cancun. This is great because then you just
you're on Islamu Harris, beautiful small island. I just absolutely
love this property. So seven dining options, five bars, and also,
like I said, you have to take a catamaran to
(37:48):
get over there, and they have like the resort has
a camaron that runs every two hours. Like what a
way to start a vacation. You know, it is like
on a boat like that you have to go over there, So.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
So getting there is an experience. Yeah, I can't say
enough amazing things about this resort. Like, like the closest
I've been to Heaven outside of Marion Vannett is sitting
on that rooftop in the infinity pool looking out over
the bay. I don't know, I'm gonna call it the
Bay of Cancuon. I'm not sure that what the technical
(38:18):
term is for. But just you're about your how far
are you from Cancun? You can see the horizon. It's
about a mile two miles.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
It's a couple of miles offshore.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Yeah, and it's a This is a tiny island with
a lot to do on you don't have to lead down.
There's a lot to do on the island, but sitting
up there with that level of service, with the breeze,
the sunshine, the crystal clear blue water in that infinity
pool and you are it's the highest peak of the island,
is that resort. Yes, so you get three sixty views
of the island up there. It is. It's breathtaking. It's
(38:47):
my personal favorite because I'm a sucker for a good view.
I like small resorts. I like quiet. You know, we're
busy people, so we go. We just want to chill.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Yeah, and it is perfect for that. And the beach
is beautiful. The water is like crystal clear blue water.
There's great snarkling right off the beach. Uh. This also
does a lot of activities, kind of similar to the Italier.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Where the bike tours.
Speaker 3 (39:11):
The bike tours, they do painting classes as well, different
tequila tastings.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
So there's a million pools. Like at the pool to
person ratio there is like one to one almost. There's
everywhere you look there's a new pool and you think, oh,
I know there was a pool there, and yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
I mean the main pool with the swim oft bar
is kind of small, but there's so many other pools
and they have servers going around constantly. Also, every room
comes with butler service. Uh.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
The beat they have, honestly the beat. Remember, I remember
before we researched this resort a lot, I didn't even
think there really was a beach, and then we show
up and I was pleasant as probably there's a little
it's a mini beach. It's small. Yeah, there's a freaking
water slide. Right then they only open up for like
two hours a day, but there's a water slide there too,
adults only. The only thing I would say, if I
(39:55):
could have one point of improvement here for impressions is
a lot. I would love to see a better cut
of steak at the steakhouse. Yeah, the filet wasn't. It
was still really good, it was still fantastic. Probably she
got a strip or something else, but it wasn't like
perfect flet Minyon that I'm now, I'm being very very
picky here because this resort is like a top three
(40:17):
from you all time.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yeah, so they do you have nightly entertainment, but overall,
the vibe of it is a pretty chill resort. To
just make sure that that's what you're looking for. So
it's coming in at eleven and four dollars per night.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
We never stayed to this late. But the lounge, the
people there is a lounge that apparently does go late night.
They say they get out of their two three am
sometimes the bartenders did. Yeah, we didn't stay up to
see it.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
And they do have yet the rooftop restaurant and bar
they do open to local so they can come and
like pay for that just so you know.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
Yeah, and I remember they did fun things where like
they had that palm reader. Yeah, yeah, I thought that
was pretty cool. But yeah, that was man. That whole
thing was an experience.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
Yes, so last, but not least. And this resort is
amazing and I have had I'm going to tell you
when speaking of split stays, I've had several people do
this book this recently. So Jade Mountains. So Jade Mountain
is very special. So all of the rooms are open air,
so it's a very unique experience if you know, that's
(41:17):
what you're looking for. Twenty nine rooms, one main restaurant,
one bar. But you do have access to their sister
resort on Shasny that is down on the beach. Jade
Mountain is up on the Mountain a little bit. One
thing I would say is June through probably like October.
You know, the warm the rooms can be a little warm.
(41:37):
So just something to note. It's not a fully all
inclusive resort, but they have an all inclusive package you
can add on, so I added I priced that out.
The beach here is beautiful when you walk down there,
or you can take a shuttle down. It's a black
sand beach, but there water is crystal clear blue. There's
great snorkling. There's an amazing reef write off the beach
(41:58):
that you.
Speaker 2 (41:59):
Can snorkeling, historicalling right off the beach.
Speaker 3 (42:01):
Yeah, I just love And this isn't Saint Lucia. Sorry,
I don't know if we said that. This resort also
has their own helipad. They're the only one on the
island that does. So if you want to really arrive
in style, you know, you can certainly do that. And
then again we can arrange all this for you.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
So if you've got if you've got a larger budget
and you want something super special, call us. We can
arrange the helipad, the helicopter transfer. There's a lot of
other packets, a lot of things you can include in
Jade Mountain. They do have a great spot. You get
a massage. I mean, there's just this Jade Mountain. I'm
not going to call it a resort. It's an experience.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
It is an experience.
Speaker 2 (42:39):
Everything's an experience, sleeping in the open air rooms, looking
at the pitons, doing what you can do in Saint Lucia,
the Black Sand Beach, the spot, they have their own
they make their own organic chocolate.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
Yeah. I was gonna say, they have different chocolate tours
that you can do, which I'm pulling up right now
to tell you a little bit about those. But they
have ones that are included, uh, and then they have
ones that you can pay extra for and they.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
Do like a whole class on it.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
Yeah, like and with a tasting and everything.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
While you're looking that up, I want to say so another.
So the third closest I've ever been to Heaven marrying
you and then sitting at the top of impressions, Isla
is we had we had dinner one night at Jade Mountain.
I think it was the first.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
Wait you just you were just sitting the impression.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (43:24):
That's close. And then then number three is.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
That Jade Mount Number three is at Jade mount We
were having dinner one night. We were walking in to
the restaurant that they have and there was someone playing
just an acoustic guitar and the dining experience it was
open air, the sun was setting and the views of
the pitons were just stunning, and that the music that
the acoustic guitars was just playing made that with the
(43:47):
views and the breeze, and then the service was like
the most one of the most romantic experiences I've ever had. Yes,
it was. It was just unbelievable. I was melting in
the restaurant just with the views and everything else.
Speaker 3 (43:59):
It's soft, fair, chill, laid backers.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
It's in the vlog, so go check out the blog.
We have a log on Jade Mountains. You can kind
of see see what it's like. We did not have
Most rooms have their own private pool, and unfortunately we
had one of the very few rooms that didn't. But
we had a big guy suite.
Speaker 3 (44:13):
Yes, and all of the rooms do come with butler
service there, so complimentary yoga daily and then they have
non motorized water sports, so they'll give you snorkel gear,
wind surfing, kayaks, paddle boards, they do have tennis courts there,
and then they have various activities at the resort for
an additional charge. So if you want an escorted snorkel tour,
(44:36):
you can do that thirty dollars a person. Jungle biking
is they do a jungle bike tour for forty five
dollars a person, various chocolate wine, chocolate wine pairing tours,
cooking classes, sunset crews for one hundred and fifteen dollars
a person. Yeah, and it's it's fabulous and you're very
close to the pitons and so you can see them
(44:59):
from all of the so beautiful views. But if you
are an active couple and you're like I want to
conquer and hike that you can do that.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
You wake up open air, you hear the birds chirping.
I mean, it's kind of if you've never done that before,
it's again an experience.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
It's very unique.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
Yes, you know, you can get an oscillating fan. I
mean the first night might take getting used to, but
once you're used to it, it is incredible.
Speaker 3 (45:20):
Yes, So this resort is twenty three twenty eight per
night with the all inclusives.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
With the inclusive place for October. So love that. Look
my god. We have so many good options here, and
guys check out the YouTube channels. We have almost all
of these resorts. We have logs on yes.
Speaker 3 (45:34):
And so real quick. One thing I want to say,
just back to the split stay. So I've had several
people if you're like, man, I really want to try out,
you know, one of these resorts maybe in the high range,
but I can't afford to do it, you know, for
the whole seven nights or something or six nights whatever.
Do a split stay. So I've had several people do
split stays with other resorts and then go over to
(45:57):
say Impression Islaw for you two or three nights. It's
a great option to get in and make your overall
cost you more affordable. I've had several people do Jade
Mountain split stays, so stay at like sandals will talk
and then go to Jade Mountain for a night or two.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
That's a great idea.
Speaker 3 (46:15):
That's such a great idea. Also, you can Saint Lucia.
Just in speaking of Saint Lucia is a fairly easy
island to island hop. So there's some flights you can
get to Saint Lucia from other islands like Antigua Barbados
fairly easily. They have some direct flights, So if you
want an island hop, you could do that too.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
Yeah, yeah, no, there's there's a lot here. I think.
I think all of these resorts, you know what, whether
your budget is looking for more value or you're in
the mid range or the high range, all these resorts
would make for a fantastic and very memorable honeymoon. I
think all of them do have these special add ons
that you can do. Yes, and you can work with
(46:57):
Jane or one of our great agents on that to
kind of make this extra special. And I think doing
things like that to surprise your spouse where like hey,
you know, pre book something, kind of surprise them, don't
tell them you're doing it, A candlelight dinner on the beach,
a couple's massage, you know something just kind of wow,
we can set that up for you.
Speaker 3 (47:13):
We got you, yes so quick. Overview though always for
a honeymoon go adults only. It makes a huge difference.
A few honorable mentions that I didn't mention, so and
I'm not just gonna I'm not gonna like talk about
price or anything, but these are attended would be in
probably like the mid to high range. But either LeBlanc
(47:34):
will block Cabo or Cancun both are fabulous, amazing resorts,
especially for a honeymoon. And then Sandals Grenada too.
Speaker 2 (47:42):
Oh, Sands Grenada is a good one. Yeah we did,
we didn't, we didn't price that one out, but Grenada
is very special. Probably going to be mid to high.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
Well, I've been getting more Saint Vincent people this year
than Grenada because you know, they're the new kid on
the block.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
So, yes, Vince is getting love. Yeah, they're they're they're
the fun, new, fun, new sailor resort. Is is Done River,
so they kind of open up two resorts. Yea very close.
Speaker 3 (48:03):
Yeah, Dun's River is absolutely amazing too, so definitely another
honorable mention.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
Yeah, those are the two resorts.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
Yes, but you know, I don't think that you can
go wrong with any of them no matter your budget.
A couple other ways that you can save. So if
you are traveling September through December, not over a holiday,
is going to be your most affordable time of year
to travel to a resort like this. You know, in
terms of like days of the week, does that affect
(48:33):
room pricing? At all inclusive resorts generally speaking, no, but
you may you know, get some better rates on the
airfare depending on if you fly out on like you know,
a Tuesday or Wednesday or something like that. Other ways
that you can save at least on sandals resort our
military discount just first responder so firefighter police, they do
(48:53):
offer a ten percent discount for that. And then they
do have a resort credit offer going on right now
as well that you can advantage of.
Speaker 2 (49:00):

not charge any fees for our services. The resorts pay
us if you're wondering, So.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
Yeah, that's how we make my resorts pay us, and
we can price We can almost always price match too.
So if you see something out there and you're worried,
like well, I can get it for a few bucks lower.
We most of the times can price match us a
crack at it. We love to work with you because
you guys are awesome. We have the best podcast audience
in the game. Yes, the pin of Travel family. We
love you guys. Okay, you ready for Question the Day? Yes,
(50:09):
all right, question the Day? Question of the day? Okay,
this is from Ask Credit. We're back on mask credit.
This is a good one because we we although we've
been traveled for a very long time, we have worked
in a variety of industries. We have a wide variety
of experience in the professional world. What profession isn't nearly
as glamorous as it's portrayed.
Speaker 3 (50:35):
Mine. Everybody thinks I just travel and you know, you
get all these like great perks and benefits because of that,
and you know, low stress, and that is not the case.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
Well it's not super I mean yeah, I mean I
knew you were going to say that, but yeah, it does.
The travel ingentry is amazing. We have a lot of perks.
We do love doing it. Yeah, something we love doing.
Speaker 3 (50:57):
But yeah, there's a problem I'm outside of your control,
like flight issues, stuff like that. Weather.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
You just got to kind of get through it.
Speaker 3 (51:06):
Yeah it can. That can make it.
Speaker 4 (51:08):
A little rough.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Yeah, but you're great at it. So you're good.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
Yeah, you're good. Thanks.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Do you have another profession that you can think of it?
I've got a few opinions. I don't know if I'm
right on them, right.
Speaker 3 (51:18):
Cause, Okay, what's your opinions?
Speaker 2 (51:19):
I think I think a lot of people, and I've
actually heard this from friends, they being an attorney. So
when you go through law school, I think like even
before law school, people obviously have aspirations to be attorneys.
When they see like you know, arguing with the judge
or arguing you know, your your counterfacts to something in
a case in the courtroom. And I think for a
lot of people it ends up being a lot of
(51:40):
paperwork and like the fun stuff that you see about
being an attorney is a very sliver of a percentage
of the actual day to day I think a lot
of it's research, a lot of it's writing, and you know,
so I could see a lot of attorneys saying, you know,
it's not as glamorous as is portrayed, right, you know,
I think that would be one that comes to mind.
Speaker 3 (51:59):
That comes to mind. I would say being a veterinarian
because like you know you have for me, I would love.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
It, like helping animals, helping.
Speaker 3 (52:08):
Animals and like seeing all the dogs and cats and animals.
But then you have like the bad side of that.
Speaker 2 (52:13):
You know, a lot of challenging stuff you deal with
all the time. Like you know, you euthanize sometimes you
have to euthanize an animal. Like, there's just a lot
that I would say that.
Speaker 3 (52:21):
It's not as yet clamorous as you think.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
Yeah, I think there's a lot of professionals out there
that you would look at me like, oh, I want
to do that. That's got to be awesome. It's got
to be a dream career. I think every career, all
walks of life and careers have pros and cons to them. Yea,
you know, there's there's things that are great about the
job that you love, and there's things that you probably
wouldn't experience, wouldn't think you experience, and then you don't
like it. What I would say is, like a lot
(52:46):
of people like one one phrase I'm not the best
biggest fan of is uh, follow your passions, like follow
your like like do your work, but make sure you're
passion about your work. I do agree about that. I
do agree with part of that. Yeah, I think it's
important to chase your dreams and follow your passions. But
also I do think it's also discounting that it's possible
(53:07):
to find a passion for you're already doing. I think
if you if you're in a job that you you
might not like, you can still find a way to
find a passion within that field. You know, you could
take a promotion, you could do something else. So because
I feel like a lot of people that do yeah, well,
I feel like you know you have to find a
passion for what you're already doing, or find it, find
(53:28):
a path to a love for what you already doing.
Sometimes you can't, but I think a lot of times
if people were more open minded about it, they could.
And so because I think chasing your dreams and chasing
your passion is great advice, but also there is a
downside to that too, because sometimes you know, if your
passion is call it being an artist. A lot of people,
(53:48):
I think a lot of people strive to be artists. Well,
I think if you look at all artists, the average
of their income is is probably lower than you think
because only the top point one percent of artists make
big money. I'm not saying money brings you all happiness,
but I'm just saying, you know, you don't want to
get yourself in a situation where you can't pay your bills, right, Yeah,
(54:08):
so you know, I don't know. That's just my.
Speaker 3 (54:10):
George's life device one one, that's.
Speaker 2 (54:13):
Just my ted talk is it. You might not be
happy today, but you can certainly try to find a
passion within what you're already doing, all right, And I
think every career has trade offs. There's trade offs.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
Yeah, Well, that is very true.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
We just got deep and meta here on a No
Before You Go travel show, A question of the Day.
Speaker 3 (54:27):
Yeah, I like it.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
Do you have any other any other careers?
Speaker 3 (54:30):
No? That's it? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (54:31):
