What's up everybody? Everyone, Welcome back to another edition of
the No Before Tromp Show. We've got a show for
you today on this beautiful Sunday fall Sunday afternoon. It
is just lovely outside.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Not quite fall, but we're very close.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
The mornings are crisp, it is cool. We have a
lime tree in our backyard, which is amazing. We'll get
to that in a second. Football's back on the Carolina
Gangcocks are struggling so bad. It's so painful, But you
know what, we're here talking about travel and nothing but
good vibes on this beautiful fall. Yeah, it's pretty much fault. Yeah,
it feels like faul if you got pumpkin like pumpkin
(00:58):
spice Lottes are back out. They got Halloween stuff in
the stores already, which I'm not quite ready for.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Those were in the stores like two months ago, and
it's just wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
The rule is October first. Everyone knows it. The rules.
October first, that's the rule. You cannot put Halloween stuff
out anytime in September. October first, that's the rule.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
No, it's not I'm putting stuff out this kind of week.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
I'm not going to look at it.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Well, you're going to be for a few days.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yeah, town, I'm not gonna look at it, all right,
But we are here. We're not here talking about that.
I do as much as I would love to get
sidetracked here and complain about the Carolina Gangcocks effort yesterday
against Vanderbilt. Shout out eight. Vanderbil is a good team.
That was painful. That was painful.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah, at least lost, I know.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
You know, I mean that's but they feel the same
way about it, absolutely, Yeah, they feel the same about us.
We had a good time. We were on the boat
with some friends yesterday and uh, you know, a lot
of us went to Carolina. One of the guys big
Clemson fan, and we watched them lose and we were like, oh,
we're kind not really celebrating. Were like, that's just tough man,
tough break.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Six game cocks on the boat two clipses fans.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
And we thought I was like, oh, yeah, well we'll
probably win. It's Fanner built. Nope, not only do we
not win, it wasn't even competitive and it was at home.
So shame on us.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah, shame on us.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
But anyways, we were here not to bore you with
gagcok talk or how much I'm not ready following decorations,
or how much I love fall that falls here. I'm
usually not ready for fall, right, Like we're usually holding
on a summer, like holding on.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
For I'm still holding on for summer. But it's been
cooler here where we live, and it's been nice.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
It's like it's like a cool like sixty two to
sixty four degrees in the morning, and it's so nice.
We have a lime tree. Long story short. We bought
a tree three years ago in a pot and we
were told it was an orange tree.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
We groomed and manicured this tree for three and a
half years and got zero fruits off of it. We
paid four hundred something bucks for this tree. We got
zero fruits off of it. None. Yeah, and I even
dragged whenever he got whenever it would freeze in the winter.
I would drag the tree. It's got thorns on it too,
drag the tree into the girl tarp it like, you know,
(03:02):
fed it the citrus food. Not a single fruit for
three and a half years. Then we finally get a fruit.
We finally remove it from the pot, put it in
the ground and we start getting the fruit. And we
get a fruit.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
And in the last month we have gotten fruit.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
We were like, wow, we finally got a fruit. So
we cut the fruit off or like, it's not an orange.
It was a lemon. Well, we thought, you have got
to be kidding me.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
We hate lemons.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
We've been like sweating and grinding on, you know, trying
to get this tree to just produce any single fruit.
And it finally does and it turns to me a lemon.
And what I mean, listen, there's only so much lemon
you can drink. So then we thought it was a lemon.
Then it started yielding more fruit. And now we have
like a bunch of fruit on there, and none of
them are turning yellow. They're all staying green. It's a lime.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Tree, and it is a lime tree. And we took
we picked a couple of them yesterday took them out
on the boat to having drinks and it was really
it was cool. Yeah, and it's cool yeah, right from
our backyard. So that's kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
We start a new business, Pinak Farms, Pinak Farms, Pinak
or Munich Farms, and we have fresh limes and limes.
You can do a lot with a le you can
cook with limes. You may walk them only, Like, we're
pretty excited about the limes.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
If it's not an orange tree, I'll take a lime tree.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah, I'm just glad it's not a lemon tree.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yeah, a lemon I mean, there's only so much lemonade
you can drink, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yeah, I just don't link clem.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
We don't have a use case for it. Anyways. Right,
let's jump into the episode. We have a great episode
for you today. And by the way, guys, we have
been to every single sandals out there. Yeah, and we
get questions all the time on the YouTube channel. By
the way, go to the YouTube channel to make sure
you subscribe to that. That is a link in the
show notes. We have a lot of vlogs out there,
almost on every single sandwich resort on our experience there
and you get asked all the time. We work with
(04:37):
a lot of our podcast listeners. Hey, I love this,
Which Sandals should I go to? I want this? Which
Sandals should I go to? And so, you know what,
we're just gonna break down. We gotta do one episode
and we're gonna bring them all down for you on
what resorts we would recommend for a specific traveler type.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
I don't know what we're gonna call this episode, but
that's what we're gonna do.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Yeah, we'll figure out what the title is after we
talk about it.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
We have a unique perspective because we've been to all
of them, and then we've also been to probably hundreds
of other all inclusive resorts and not all inclusive resorts,
So we have a really good perspective on, like, you know,
what the vibe is of all of these Sandals resorts.
They're all unique, They're all extremely different, they all have
their own personality, and I think they all offer something
specific to certain traveler types.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Yes, and they also are all priced differently, which we'll talk.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
About that too. Yeah, so this is gonna be a
good episode. I'm really excited to get into this. We've
got eight categories of travelers. Everything's ranging from romance and honeymooners.
Romance seekers and honeymooners. We got the party crowd, we
got the luxury lover, we got the adventure seeker, the
beach bum ye, the foody traveler, and some people will
(05:43):
be I think there's a lot of people that a
variety of a lot of these. Yeah, be quiet and
relaxed traveler, and then the sunset seeker, which I kind
of am. I love a good sumset. I do too,
especially from my room. I want to sit in my
room and watch the sunset.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
I mean, yeah, either way, you.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Only get so many. You gotta enjoy the mom Okay,
all right, where do you want to start?
Speaker 3 (06:02):
So I guess let's start with the romance seekers and
the honeymooners. So these are kind of our top ones
for that. I would say.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
They're all romantic. They're all couples only. Talk about like
why they're all romantic, and we'll get into why these
are specifically romantic.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
I was gonna say, just specifically because they're adults only
and couples only. You know, they don't really cater to
like massive groups, but you can, you know, have big
destination wedding groups.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
But like, if you get the butler service, they'll set
up like all the romantic things in the room, like
a bottle of champagne. They'll put a bubble bath up
there for you when you're not even in there. I
love doing if you're going for a super romantic experience.
All of these resorts offered a sunset dinner on the beach. Yeah,
so private additional costs. But like you can make this
as romantic as you want. And but there are there
(06:53):
are a couple of resorts that really do a good
job of just elevating that a little bit, where the
vibe of the resort is very romantic, Like yeah, just
I don't know, it just feel special. It is more intimate.
Maybe that maybe these resorts are a little bit smaller. Yeah,
we're gonna talk about this.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah, so first one on the list, I would say,
is Sandel's Grand Antiga.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Oh yeah, Grand Antiga. It's beautiful. And a lot of
these will be on multiple yes categories, so you might
see Antiga pop up again. But I couldn't agree with you.
Grand Antiga it's got a beautiful beach, resort, is nice
and spread out. One of the things that I always
remember about our honeymoon is that private dinner that we had.
(07:34):
And I think this resort, given the beach and the
setup and if you you can have just a very
very special experience at Sandals Grand Antiga. We've got to
get back to this resort. We have nothing about this
shot in a while. Yeah, we do a vlog on
it though.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
It's been several years since we've been there, so yeah,
we definitely need to get back. But a couple things
I really love about this resort is yet the beach.
The beach is absolutely amazing. It's fairly quick to get
there from the airport twenty minutes. Yeah, so that's nice.
And also I kind of like a little bit more.
I like destinations that are a little bit more off
(08:08):
the beaten path a little bit. I feel like that
kind of adds to the romance. And you know, Antigua
is known for that, and Antika does also have a
lot of things to do off property as well, you know,
if you were if you wanted to.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
So yeah, no, I agree, it's I do like that
it's close to it's close to the airport, so it's quick.
I just like, I don't know why, like the resort
is situated so well around the beach. Ye, like almost
every restaurant has a beautiful view.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Oh yes, I forgot it.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
And so like each restaurant kind of having these great
views constantly, it just elevates. Its just the little things
that elevate the experience a little bit more for me here, Yeah,
I didn't. Service is great at sales Granded Antiga and
this is what we got get back to. And a
little fun fact about Grand Antiga is they have the
little that little floating barge bar out there. Yeah, called
is it kind of Kanig?
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Is that maybe? Maybe that's not it?
Speaker 2 (08:58):
No Kanti. I think that's in Islamie Harris maybe yeah,
I can't, I can't remember. It's the floating it's like
it is not part of sandals. But you can like
swim out there or they'll take a bog to pick up.
It's literally a guy from Europe that moved there and
just built this floating bar and it's about one hundred
yards off shore and it's just anchored the bars permanently
anchored to the bottom of the ocean floor. Yeah, and
(09:20):
you just sit out there. He plays music, makes drinks
and it's good vibes.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, it's just different in good vibes.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Oh one last thing on at I think they could
update the rooms here a little bit.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Yeah, I was gonna say that it is one of
their most dated resorts, so I would imagine that in
the very near future they are going to be doing
some updates, which I've noticed there are like some room
categories like blocked out for a long time, so it
appears that maybe that is going on now. One of
the things about sandals is they.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Never tell you, so you never know what's gonna happen. Right,
all right, another one on the list here for romance
seekers here. I love this one. We just got back
from this one not that long ago. I think Santel
Saint Vincent is incredibly romantic. Oh yes, it is incredibly romantic.
It's new, it's modern, it's very spread out, it's very different.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Like, oh man, you know, Saint Vincent is just kind
of an untouched island for tourism. Uh So that's one
of the things I.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Love about it absolutely. And I think there's one thing
that makes Saint Vincent stick out to me that's unique
across the entire brand is the size of the rooms here. Yeah,
like your average room is massive. You can spend a
lot of time in the room and that makes it
more romantic.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yes, yeah, and I and I think it has I've
said this before on our podcast on Saint vincent Is.
I think it has one of the most beautiful settings
because it's like in the valley surrounded by mountains. Is
a little bit of a drive to get there from
the airport, like forty five minutes. It is kind of windy,
so if you, you know, struggle with motion sickness, you
(10:49):
might want to take some jam at me. But I
absolutely love this destination. And because Sandals is here, you know,
there are a lot more flights to the island. They
have them daily now, whereas when they first open this
that was not the case. It was kind of a
more tough place to get to. But uh, it's absolutely amazing.
I love that resort so much.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
What is next on the list?
Speaker 3 (11:12):
I would say, we have a few two that are
kind of special to us. So Sandals, the talk, oh
love talk. And here's why I we have this one
in here.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
The area that you're targeting.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Here right, Well, I was gonna say that why I
have this over the other two in Saint Lucia, I
would say, I love the layout of this resort. It
doesn't feel like a you know, massive hotel. It's spread out,
that there's lots of different pools and quiet areas to
hang out in, and that you have a more like chill,
(11:51):
relaxed honeymoon vibe.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Uh, And I would say the nightlife is, you know,
a good mix. So if you want something you know, fun,
you know a little bit more lively, you have that here.
Or if you just want to go sit by a
fire pit and listen to some live music, you know
it's perfect for that too. Sunset's here great, but I'm
going to talk about that right now. And then I
love that you do have access to to other sandals
(12:16):
resorts too, so if you do want to change up
your scenery, you know you can. But I would say
it's it's very overall, it's very romantic resort and it's
actually where we honeymoon.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Yes, what is a special place to us in a
special place?
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Yeah, you have anything you want to add on that?
Speaker 2 (12:30):
No, I think you nailed it. I think specifically the
most romantic part of the resort where That's why I
kind of said, oh, I think you're stargeting a specific
area is the part of the resort's up on the hillside,
one of the butler rooms. They have the new rooms there.
They have they call the Sunset Bluffs or whatever. Oh
they're not new, but no, weren't they They were doing
room well yeah, the.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Yeah, the Sunset Bluff two story yes of rooms with
the private pool. Oh my gosh. I would love to
stay one of those one day because those look amazing.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Yeah, super romantic setting and that's such a quiet part
of the resort too. I think that's where you're gonna
get the more romantic feel and are amazing. And I
love that swim up bar there, the Italian restaurants right there,
and I think you could like literally stay in that
area for two or three nights and never leave and
it would be such a romantic getaway.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
You don't need to go down to the busy pool. Now,
the beach, I mean the beach is okay here, but
that pool up there, with that million dollar view over
the ocean, that's all you need.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
And they have a lot of different room categories up
in that area with like private pools, yes, or like
private outdoor soaking tubs, and you know that just kind
of can add to the romance.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Yeah, little Brown, Brown cow, right, And the next one
is Sandals South Coast. Yes, I like this one. We
kind of debated this one a little bit, but this
one definitely made the list. South Coast is just I
think it's very spread out. I think South Coast can
check a lot of boxes because I think it does
offer something for everybody. Yeah, but if you really want
a romantic feel here, you could get it here in Jamaica.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Yes, I was gonna say, I think that of all
of them in Jamaica, I personally feel like it has
the most romantic feel. Just that side of the island
is very like scream and quiet and laid back. Depending
on the crowd here. You know, you can have a
little bit of liveliness at night if you want it.
(14:11):
It's very spread out, so you don't feel like you're
on top of anybody. Yes, all of the rooms have
been renovated over the last like five six years so
or maybe eight years, but they all have, you know,
a more modern look to them. I just think this
resort screams Honeymoon.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
It does a lot to do for It's just it's
so it's so spread out, Like I just love how
much landscaping they have. How large this resort is. Yeah,
but it doesn't feel that way when you're walking around
because it is so spread out and it can take
you a while. I mean, if you're in a certain
room category, to get to the restaurants and everything, it
can take you a long time.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
Yeah. Yeah, but I love this resort so much. And
I love the overwater bar that they have as well.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
Now what I can't remember what the name of that is.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Latitudes, that's right, Latitudes. Yeah, we gotta give Grenada a
shout out here. I love Grenada. I think Grenada is
incredibly romantic destination. It is. It is like so untouched
with tourism. You know, it's got very little tourism on
this island, so it's a unique destination. Beach here is
is just it. It's like not the biggest beach, but
(15:18):
it's about as private of a beach as you can get.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Yes, it is on a private beach.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Very swimmable. The Grenadian people are just amazing.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
They are.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
It's an island with a lot of history. I don't
know why, Like I weaten the service is just incredible
here too, Like it's really you all, Like I'll never forget.
Like we go back and the butlers we had the
first time, second time, they all remember us and they'll
come say hello, and it's like that level of like
interaction with the staff and just and then the restaurants
are awesome too, like this, I think they have one
(15:47):
of the best butches in the whole brand.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
I can go on and on it right next.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
To the airport, but you don't really hear any airplane
noise because there's kind of like a mountain at the
back of the resort that kind of blocks that out.
And this is kind of like Saint Vincent, a very
less touristy destination, and so there's not you know, like
planes coming in all day long, you know, like you
might have in Jamaica.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Yeah, absolutely right. We're going to the next We're gonna
get to the next travel type here, but before we do,
I gotta mention we guys, we are a zero fee
travel agency. We don't charge a dime for our services.
We have been to every single sandals. We can help
you pick out the best sandals for you. You can work
with the Cribbean Queen herself, Janet. So you go to
penat travel dot com request a quote. It comes directly
to us. You can get that one on one attention.
(16:33):
If anything goes wrong on the trip, we're here for
you and Janet will help you and get your book
and pick out the best resort for you. So link
in the show notes, link in the description, check it out.
And we're a top ten Sandals agency in the world,
so we're a global top ten agency. So we have
seen it all, done it all at Sandals, and we
can definitely help you pick out the next best resort
(16:55):
for you, whether it's a honeymoon, anniversary or you're just
getting away with your significant other. Let's roll.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Yes, absolutely, that was quite the little plug there.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yeah, if we got a commercial break, we'll do it.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Well, we are going to do that, but not yet
so okay, all right, So next up, the more the
social crowd, you know, a little if you're looking for
a little bit more liveliness, these resorts are going to
be the ones for you. So Sandals OCHI. Oh yeah,
that is the most lively.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Of all of them, very lively.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
The tracks of much younger crowd. The resort is huge.
It's like five hundred rooms split between the beach side
and the hillside. It has a speakeasy that you need
a password to get into.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
A nice speak easy. Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Yeah, it's it's a just very happening place. Now, this
is also going to be where you can get into
a Sandals for at the lowest price point that you have.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Yeah. So, and I think it's a great like if
you haven't been to a Sandals and because Sandals that
they can price a little bit higher than other resorts.
But if you haven't been because it's budgetary, look at
Ochi and try to sneak into OCHI have the Sandals experience,
and I think I think it's a lot of I
think it's a lot of travelers first Sandals experiences. OCHI.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Wouldn't you agree, Yeah, yeah, I would say that.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Yeah, just because the cost is so strong there, but
it also makes it a good time.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
I mean, and it's in an area of Jamaica where
there is a ton of things to do as well.
Now following that, sticking with Jamaica Sandals, Montigo Bay Sandals
Montigo Bay has always been known to just have like
a more lively upbeat vibe. It's right next to the airport.
You do get a lot of plain noise, but I
think that that adds to kind of fun vibe and atmosphere,
(18:40):
great nightlife at this resort, and pretty much all of
the rooms here have been renovated. Now a lot of
the restaurants in like main lobby area have also been renovated.
So it really is a great option if you're looking
for something a little bit more lively.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
It's got the original swim uPAR and it's like the
original swim up bar I think of the.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
World, maybe at least in the Caribbean, but it is
the very first Sandals that ever was that they ever had, so.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
I agree, I agree. Another one that's got to make
this list for a couple of reasons is Sandals Roll Bhaman. Yeah, okay,
love this reason. Like so the party side of this resort.
So it's almost like when you're on the mainland. So
this resort is broken up into the resort that sits
on the mainland of Nassau, and they also have a
private island, which is awesome. Now the private islands, we
can go for serenity and quiet, like very it's so
(19:34):
chill and I love that. But if you want to
live it up, they'll do they We've seen foam parties here.
They have a tire beach club that's brand new and
you know, and.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
They have a DJ there. DJ and I.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Believe this is the only Sandals that has three swim
up bars. Yes, so you're gonna be drinking, you're gonna
be having a good time here.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
Another reason I think this should make the list is
the off island activities. You can go off resort activities. Yeah,
off resort, Yeah, off resort. You can take a five
minute cab and you are.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
At Oh gosh, what's about Bahamar?
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Bahamar where you It's a Vegas style casino, fantastic restaurants.
They have a club there. You can just go there
and have yourself a day.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
If you want to, absolutely or a night. Yeah, you
can go gamble. Uh. There's a really cool jazz bar
right next to the casino where they do live music.
And so there's liveliness that you can find on resort
and off resort. But I do also think that, you know,
if you're not totally into that, you can get away
from it. And the private island.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Oh, it's so peaceful.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
You're gonna hear this on our list later, but that
private island is absolutely amazing. Absolutely, it's probably my most
favorite thing of all sandals.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
So agreed, agreed, All right, that's the luxury.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
No, you're a missing one.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
Well Barbados, oh duh, Yes, Well Barbados.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Is awesome, and you know, I also think that Barbados again,
if you don't want to be involved in that, you
you know, in liveliness, you don't have to. But uh,
there's just great entertainment, great nightly entertainment here. And this
is Barbados or Royal Barbados, they're essentially the same resorts.
Just which side are you staying on?
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (21:17):
So Royal Barbados is only club level and higher rooms.
But just I think because this resort is so big
and there's just a lot more people there, the bowl
and alley gets really hop in at night, the bar
right in front of it, it's just u and then
they do entertainment right outside of that. You know it's
a horror. Yeah, it's definitely a little bit more lively.
(21:38):
So now where were what's the next one?
Speaker 2 (21:43):
I think we're going to talk about luxury. I mean,
all of them are luxurious, but if you really appreciate luxury,
there are a few resorts that we would recommend based
on a couple criterias. One like the vibes of it,
the style of the nightlife, the the restaurants, the lounge,
how updated are those? The rooms, the rooms and just
(22:04):
the just how the resort feels is have a luxurious feel?
Is it grand? Where do you want to start with
this one?
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Oh, Saint Vincent?
Speaker 2 (22:12):
So yeah, obviously Saint Vince's gonna make list. It's the
newest resort out there in the Sandals chain. The rooms
are very luxurious, the restaurants are very unique. When you
go into the butches, not all of these butches feel
the same. What I love about this butch is has
a bar in there. Yeah, and it's every grand ceilings,
everything's brand new. It's situated really close to the water.
(22:34):
I love. A lot of the restaurants are situated near
the water here too. Yeah. Just it just feels a
little more luxurious. It's they call this set I think
I think it was it Adam or just someone in
the chain called it like Sandal's two point zero or something. Yes,
this is a Samdal's two point oh resort, and.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
So is Sandals Dun's River, which is next on the list. Yes,
I would say the three most newest resorts are in
our opinion, going to be like the best of the
best luxury wise, So Dun's River, Saint Vincent and then
carry yourself. Yeah, so Dun's River. There's something for everyone
at this resort. I love the duns Rum Club, so
(23:10):
if you do, and that place gets hopping at night.
So if you do want a little bit more liveliness,
you've got that, or you've got the piece and quiet.
They usually do live music by the breakfast place every morning.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
You love that live music by the breakfast Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Yeah, it's just I think it kind of screams luxury
there too, and it's kind of beautiful setting too, like
with the mountains all around. I love all of the
different dining concepts here.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
A lot of unique dining.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Concepts, yes, and all of the unique bars that they have.
There's like everywhere you turn, there's a bar.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Everywhere you turn there's a bar, a lounge, something different.
And these lounges are kind of they have dedicated menus
for them. Yeah, so like if you want to go
to espresso martini, there's a lounge for that. If you
want to be outdoors, like their bar will be different.
So I think they've really elevated the experience here and
they call it Sandals two point zero and this is
one of them. I mean, it's fantastic, honorable mention here Grenada.
So I know it's not the newest Sandler resort anymore,
(24:02):
but it just has that luxury feel. I love the
open air lobby, the mountains that surround you, just how peaceful,
peace and quiet it is, and the rooms like the
beachfront rooms that you almost have your own little deck.
I mean, it has luxurious feel to it. And like
I said, I think it's got the best butchers.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Yeah. And one thing I want to say, where you
why you're gonna hear Grenada mentioned a few times in
this podcast is, in my personal opinion, I think it's
also one of the most well run Sandals resorts that's there.
The management is just fantastic. I mean they if you
send an email to them you need something, or if
(24:44):
I send them for my clients, like I get a
response same day, usually within an hour. Last time we
were there, I mean we saw management going around the
property and like picking up towels, you know, from chairs
that you know people were no longer using. Like they're
just very involved and I think that when you see
management doing that that it just kind of speaks to
(25:04):
the quality.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
How well, yeah, Ran it is sad it ripples to
the rest of the resort, like the staff see it
and what most importantly, the guests feel it. And like
I was going to say, what makes this resort luxurious
for me is the service. Yeah, and it's that luxurious service.
You get that elevated experience you get here without an
additional costs, and it's just like they just nail it.
(25:25):
Like I just love Grenada so much. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
So let's go back though we didn't touch on Currous Out.
So a couple of things about Currous How One, I
love this destination because you know, it's basically like Europe
and the Caribbeans.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
A slice of Europe and the Cribbean.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
Absolutely, Yep, you can certain categories, get a car that
you can take out, you know, for dinner or what
have you.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
It's a golf course on side. A golf course.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Yep, there's a golf course right next right now. It's
the beach is not great, but the rooms, you know,
it's it's pretty much a brand new resort. The rooms
are all fabulous.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Yeah, the rooms are They've done the rooms really well here.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Yeah, and I would just say, you know again, entertainment,
there's something for everyone.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Yeah, I would recommend not going peak summer. That's one.
I would probably look at the fall and winter months
because peaks summer there it's very far south, it can
be very very warm.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
Yes, so the last time we were there, it was
in the month of September, and it's pretty it was
very hot and there was not a lot of reprieve
from that.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
There's a lot of open air of open air dining,
open air lounges. I think they were still actually renovating
certain parts of the resort to add maybe more lounges
that have air conditioning and bars of air conditioning and
things to do in the air conditioning, because I think
the summer months there it's just hot. It's just is
what it is.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah, very hot.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
That's what you go in the pool. It has one
of the best pools too.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Yes, it does. So next up, if you are the
adventure seeker traveler and you want a lot of things
to do off property, a lot of fun things to do,
you don't want to just sit around on the beach,
these are going to be the best ones. For you.
So I'm going to kind of blanket a few of
these together, so pretty much all of Saint Lucia.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Yeah, anywhere in Saint Lucia. There's so much to do
off the resort.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Yeah, any of their three resorts in Saint Lucia. There's
just tons and tons of things to do. You want hiking,
you want ziplining, you want ATVs, you want water activities. Yeah,
like you name it, you can do it in Saint
Lucia and you have access to no matter which one
you stay at, you have access to all three resorts.
(27:34):
There's complimentary shuttles that run between them every two hours,
so if you want to change up your scenery for
the day, you can do that. So love Saint Lucia
for this.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
And then any of the three resorts in the Ocho
Rios area of yep So Dun's River, Sandal's Royal Plantation
and sandals Ochi. So those three are in an area
of Jamaica where tons and tons of things to do
off property. Waterfalls, I mean hiking, the Dunge River falls,
(28:10):
the Jamaica bob sledding, you can do Mystic Mountain. There's
also some really fun bob Marley tours that you can
do from there, So it's just definitely an amazing area
for that. And then I would also say Saint Duncent
because Saint Vincent has a ton of things yeah to
do off property as well.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Yeah, no, I couldn't agree more. I mean, I love
this area. I might give Nogrilla shout out as well,
just because Nogrilla is the cliffs nearby good Water Sports,
but I would think that was probably like honorable mention
really the core the list.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
Yeah, but I just feel like you don't go to
the New Girl for that. You can negirl for the.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Beach, you do you go to Nogrill to shill.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Yeah, so we're yeah, well chilling Negril. We'll talk about that.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Speak Agrilla. That's going to be a top of this list.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
Yes, But before we get into the next list, we
are going to take a quick commercial break so we
can pay some podcast bills and we will be right back.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
You are back, all right, We are back, Thanks for
sticking around. Let's break. We are back here, all right.
The next one is the beach Bump. Yes, so if
you're a beach bumb and more more pool people. But
I appreciate a great beach. I'm starting to have this
new appreciation for great beaches.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Yes, and we did back in June, so three months ago,
roughly do a podcast on our top five Sandals beaches.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
So yeah, go check that out. We can link it.
I'll link in the show notes if you want more details.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
On these, Yes, but we're only going to talk about
three here. So these three, well, actually we might I
might add in a fourth throw. Okay, so Sandals and.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Grill I love yep about it.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
The Seven Mile Beach is one of the greatest beaches
in the world. It's incredible. It's very walkable. You see
people running along the beach all the time. There's great
restaurants on the beach. This is a beach where you
can just walk out of the resort and go explore
off the resort a little bit. Yeah, I get asked
all the time. So we have a great vlog on
this resort and there's probably a million comments on there
(30:08):
asking where this lobster.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
Restaurant is right next to that I walked.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
So I walked out of the resort onto Seven Mile
Beach and I was hungry for lunch. I think you
actually stayed on the resort or something, and.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
Yeah, I did.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Yeah, you were lounger on the beach. You were Actually
I didn't feel like And I was like, well, I
saw these people come back with like these one like
the foam you know, to go food things, and they
had like this freaking fresh oil for fresh lobster. It
looked awesome, it was huge. I was like, where'd you
get that? And they said, oh, you just walk down there.
It's like a couple hundred yards and the left. So
I walked down the beach. Boom right there. Uh, they're
(30:41):
getting lobsters right off the beach. They grill them up
on the beach and they serve it with butter bread
and I think rice, and oh my gosh, it was
so good. And so but that's where that is. I
get a million questions about that.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
But it's called Fireman's Lobster Pit.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Fireman's Lobster Pit. It's like two things too, like two
properties down.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Yeah, and they literally pulled We've seen them pull the
lobsters right out of the ocean off of the beach.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
It's incredible.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
They take them and yeah, cook them, and it's that.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Kind of beach. It's just like you can go explore
on it. It's great. The sunset's there. They got the
million dollar sunsets. It's incredible.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
One thing to note about this resort so pretty much
now all of the rooms have been renovated as well.
It is right next door to a very eclectic resort,
I'll call it.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
So it's the newdi resort.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Yes, hedonism. So you might see some you know, different
different walking down the beach, so just be aware of that.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Grill's got a little bit of everything.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Negrill k Like you said, you go to Negrill to chill.
In my opinion, a girl's just a vibe, so.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
It is chill, right. And then also on this list
you've got to put Grand and Tigue on there. We
were talking about how great the beach is there. It's incredible.
Dickinson Bay is one of the best in the Caribbean.
It is just beautiful.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
Yeah, And I would say if you were looking for
like I get asked us a lot. You want crystal clear,
bright blue water and white sand, these are going to
give that to you absolutely, so yes. Sandals Antigua. Antigua
is an island known for their beaches. They have three
hundred and sixty five beaches, so they say they have
one for every day of the year. This beach is great.
It is public, so that it's just one thing you
(32:23):
want to note, which then a girl want is public
as well, but it's amazing. And then next up so
Sandal's royal behavian. So the beach on like the resort
side is beautiful, but it's small. Okay, so that part
is small. If you go out to the private islands.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Where the magic is that is, yes, that.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
Is where the magic is. Like it is so beautiful.
There's great snorkeling out there.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
It's quiet.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
It's so peaceful and quiet and serene. But you can
see sea turtles off the back, stingrays. We saw stingray
the last time we were there. You may even see
some dolphins. There's been shark spotted.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
You can just get lost in that little island. There's
a restaurant there. You could spend all day. Go out
there in the morning, bring your bathing suit, you know,
bring bring your phones, chill. You can just find a
little you can either like hang out. There's they actually
swim up bar on the island too, so you can
hang out the sum up bar by the pool, which
is beautiful or go find a lounger somewhere on the islands. Yeah,
and just it's peace of quiet, it's serenity. It's got
(33:26):
to make the list.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
I agree, yes, so I absolutely love it. Now. One
thing I just want to mention is, in my personal opinion,
the Bahamas is not a super great destination during the
months of like December, January, February, early March, it can
just be a little more chilly.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Yeah, it's just a little chilly at night. It's little
chili at night. For sure. The ocean water will be colder,
the pool will be a little colder too.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Yeah, their pools are.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Nice, so that's more of a seasonal thing. So definitely
I would look at that for the summer months for yep.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
And then next up that I want to add to
the list that we haven't talked about but you will agree,
is the Grand Saint Luci Absolutely. Yeah. The Grand Saint
Lucian has a beautiful beach, tons of chairs, so like,
it's great for chillin there's great snorkeling right off the beach.
We also saw stingery off the beach. Here. The water
is very very calm, and you've got the blue or
(34:19):
you've got the mountains in the background. But it's definitely
an amazing beach for beach lovers.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
So couldn't agree more.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
Yes, So next up the foodie.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
The foodie, we get asked about food all the time.
We're gonna give it to you, all right, here we
got the list.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
Yeah, so these are our top ones for food and
I guess also restaurants and just a variety of restaurants in.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
No order too. By the way, guys, no order like
and none of these have been in order where we're
ranking them. This is just a hodgepodg Yes, all right, okay,
definitely got to mention this resort on this list. Sandlestones River. Yes,
all new restaurant concepts. This is like the two point
oh Sands. We were talking about a lot of the
traditional sandals, they all have very similar restaurants. This one
they went all unique. Yes, all brand new restaurants. Blew
(35:06):
us away. One of the things I love too about
this resort. So we mentioned how this one had the
rum club. The Rum Club has RUMs from all over
the Caribbean, pretty much every island. You can almost get
a rum from at their rum club. It also had
local food options, so authentic food that the locals enjoy,
Jamaican cuisines and like oxtail eggs. Oh, it was so
(35:28):
good and you can enjoy the rum and you can
enjoy it with the food, and I think that's why
this resort definitely makes a list. And you've got you've
got some other restaurants too.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Right, Yeah, and they have a jerk Shack too, which
those have kind of been put in at a lot
of their resorts. But there's a total of twelve dining
concepts here. So you've got Caribbean, Greek, Italian, French, Asian fusion,
Latin fusion, the rumbar, like George said, jerk Shack, pizzeria,
a sushi and also a seaside girl. So can't be
(35:57):
it just to kind of, you know, run through those quickly.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
But yeah, we have vlogs on almost all these resort, guys,
please check out the YouTube channel, and we feature a
lot of the food, the whole experience that is linkol
the description. But it's Panac Travel on YouTube and you
can just enjoy all the blogs we've got.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
Yes, but I would say that that's definitely on the list.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
All right. We mentioned this one earlier, but Sands Carousel
definitely making the list.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
Yeah. So this resort has eight restaurants plus three food trucks.
So I love the food trucks here. You've got one
that has traditional curroussel fair, one that has Spanish tapis,
and then an Asian fusion one and food was outstanding.
I think also just Currousel is a great destination for
(36:38):
foodies too, if you want to explore off resort. And
then the other dining concepts that they have, Mediterranean, Italian sushi.
They have a dessert, wine and cheese bar here, and
a seafood restaurant Latin fusion, and then the butchers.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Yeah, the butcher is really solid. Nothing I love about
the book.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Technich is like European.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Yeah, and it's got its own bar, but just has
its own bar and so the center of the restaurant,
which is really cool. I do love the Mediterranean restaurant
aolos ye open air right on the beach, beautiful.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
View right on the ocean.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
It's not on there, oh yeah the ocean. I said, yeah,
it's like a rocky shoreline. There's no beach, but yeah, beautiful,
like very romantic setting there to love this love this resort.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Yes, yeah, and this one also has thirteen bars and
a lot of them. Have you know a couple of
bar seats in the restaurant so that I know that
George loves that.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
Oh yeah. I don't know why. I love because I
feel like if you want to pay for an all
inclusive experience, I just love restaurants having a dedicated bar.
That's just I'm weird like that. I don't know why.
I might not even sit there. I might not sit
in any of them. I just like it there.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Yes, So these next two are going to kind of
go hand in hand and they share exchange privileges that run.
They run a complimentary shuttle between them every hour. So
Sandal's Royal Caribbean and Sandal's Montego Bay combined. Okay, oh yeah,
So at Sandal's Royal Caribbean, there are nine dining options.
(38:09):
So you've got your pizzeria, You've got Indian, You've got
French which is in a beautiful setting. You've got a
Thai restaurant, You've got the pub, and then of course
Jerkshack Italian Caribbean and then their seaside grill, and then
if you want to hop over to Sandal's Montego Bay.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
Yeah, and see Montigo Bay has the butchers. Ye, so
if you want to stay at Real Cribbean and you
really want to enjoy a steakhouse, you can do that
there and just take the five minute transfervative butches, and
they run almost all night. I know they stop it eventually, No,
it stops it like is it eleven or midnight eleven.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
It's been a while since we've.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
I mean for people like some people like me and you,
we're not. We're not.
Speaker 3 (38:48):
We don't.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
I'll be lights out by that last transfer. Yes.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Yeah, So over at Montego Bay there's twelve dining options
over there.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
A lot of good options.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
So if you have twelve nine over at World Caribbean,
I mean you're giving yourself twenty one different restaurants to
choose from.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
So you've literally handpicked your favorite kind of cuisines that
you want to try, or try something completely new that
you haven't had before, you can do it here.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
Yeah. So over at Montego Bay again, they have the butchers.
I'm not going to go through every single one that
they have here, but your standard Italian they've got a
great soy here, your jerk shack Stewfish. I love the
Tokyo Joe's here.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
Yeah, you do love the toyo Jo. It's yeah really
a stir f. Yeah, it's kind of like a they
make it in frock.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
Yeah, and like they make it in front of you,
but it's not like where you like the tepanyaki. So
you just go up, you tell them you know what
you want, they cook it in the walk and then
serve it to you and it's so delicious.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
So yeah, fully customizable.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Yes, that's one of my favorite restaurants there, to be
honest with you.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
So that was like the first I think it's the
first person they've done where it's like kind of it's
not really fast casual, but it's kind of like that
where you just tell them what you want and they
just make it right in front of you, and it's yeah,
really good. Another one I love is Bayside. Yeah, the
Baseide here's awesome. It's open air dining, it's right on
the water, beautiful sunsets. They also do breakfast there in
the morning, So if you want to start your day
off right.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Go to Bayside.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
Now, last but not least in this category is Sandals, Grenada.
So every time we've been, We've always thought that the
food just seems to be a bit elevated. Here. You've
got the butches, you've got nine other restaurants. You've got
the kimonos where they cook in front of you, the
soy George loves the soy here. They've got a great
Italian registered.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Love sushi here, It's really good.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
Yeah, French Neptunes right on the water. They've got the
great pub here, the Tipsy Turtle. I just I love
everything about this resort and their food and just everything
about it.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
Yeah, just Sands Grenada's vibe. Yeah, it's its own, it's
its own vibe. It kind of is romantic, and I
think I think one of the reasons we love it
too is like it does fit our travel style so well. Yeah,
and so like we're just like we're not up late.
We love good food. We love it. You know. We
want a solid beach, want a great pool, and we
want great service. And we also want to feel like
(41:05):
we're not in a megaturisty place. And that's exactly what
this feels like.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
Yes, I would agree. So next up the quiet Traveler.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Speaking of the quiet traveler, I would classify us as
we're pretty quiet.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
I feel like we've we've gotten more and more like
quiet because life is just so busy at home. It
feels like so when we travel, we just like to
just you know, chill.
Speaker 2 (41:27):
We're getting older. You got a birthday coming up.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
Yeah, we're not going to talk.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
This is the last podcast before your birthday.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
Yeah, I guess so.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
You gotta it's it's it's not a milestone one, but
you're inching closer.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
To it, getting very close to the milestone.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
So we're getting quieter in our older age. Yes, there
we got peace and quiet. Giving my give him a
meta musical, Give me a bed by eight pm, give
me that arp.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
Car nine is when I like to go to bed.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
Anyways, take my Meddlew tone in far to bed.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
But some of these, you know, these are good, but
I don't know. Some might be slightly too quiet for me.
But Sandals, house and beach so very very quiet. You
typically tend to see an older crowd.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Here, uh, heavy European travelers here for it's just kind
of yeah, fall it fell that way, A lot of
European travelers, a lot. I think you're gonna find a
lot more longer term stays here maybe longer than a week, yeah,
because you know, European's going holiday and they're gone for
a while.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
Yeah. And so this resort's very small, very quaint. All
of them rooms have been updated and renovated over the
last you know, five to eight years. One of the
things I do love about this resort are the butler
suites here. If you want like a super romantic butler
suite and you want super quiet that that matches your
travel style, this is perfect because they have a lot
(42:40):
of butler suites with private pools and just very private areas,
so it's perfect for that. And when I say quiet too,
generally the evening entertainment is like maybe a saxophonist or
something like that, and that's pretty much just relaxing. But yeah,
this is great too because if you do if that
is more your travel vibe, but you say, maybe want
(43:01):
to go have one night where you know it's a
little bit more lively, you could go over to the
other to sand Yeah, the Grand Orgle talk. Yeah. Next up,
I would say Santaua's Moral Plantation. This is their smallest
of all of their resorts.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
It's like their boutique resort.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
I would call it it is. Yeah, there's seventy something
rooms here.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
All Butler, which I do but I love that so much.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
It's not renovated, it's.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
Not renovated, but it's all Butler, so everyone gets a Butler.
It has a pool that has the smallest beach maybe
known to man there, but there's no swim up bar,
no swim bar, but it's literally I think you can
walk on the beach or walk. There's like a little
pathway that gets you to og.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Yeah. So again, if you want, you know, one night
or so of liveliness, you know, it's perfect for that,
you can go over there. This resort only has three restaurants,
I believe. And you can though go over to Ochi
for dinner you know, every day if you want. And
there's also a shuttle that will take you as well.
This resort is not for the mobility challenged.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
Just so you are a very hilly yes.
Speaker 3 (44:05):
So then these next two aren't like as quiet as
these first two, but they're just pretty relaxed and chill.
So Sandals and Grill. Yeah again, you go to Negrill
to chill. In my opinion, I agree, uh, And then
Saint Vincent, I feel like Saint Vincent was pretty laid
back and kind of, you know, quiet when we were there.
(44:27):
Now they do have some great nightly entertainment every night
that's more than just a saxophonist. But I just feel
like the overall vibe is more chill.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
Yeah, I agree. I think it's spread out enough that like,
you're gonna get mostly like chill, laid back vibes there,
but there there will be certain areas. The lobby bar
can get hopping, They're gonna have live music there. There's
certain areas if you really wanted that liven this, you
can find it. But there's plenty of areas of like
peaceful serenity here. It can be very laid back.
Speaker 3 (44:56):
Yes, yeah, So last, but not least our last category.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
Who doesn't love an amazing sunset? Who doesn't love it?
Because as we were making this list, I was just
thinking of like some of the things that I love
and some of my most memorable moments at Sandals is
where you're just sitting there the great glass of wine
whichana and we're just looking out watching the sunset. And
there's very few resorts where you actually see a bunch
of people taking pictures of themselves by the sunset. Yeah,
(45:25):
and nearly all of these resorts are about a list.
We've seen it where it's a photo op, you have
to do it.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
Yeah, it's like this sun is going down over the ocean.
Speaker 2 (45:33):
The Sun's going down over the ocean. People are out
there taking photos, people are sitting there just taking the
moment in and that's life like taking those moments, enjoy it.
And so you might not just travel these resorts specifically
for this, but if you want a great sunset, these
are the ones you could check out. Yes, I think
Sandals Will Talk is a fantastic resort for this.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
Yes, And I had actually forgotten how good their sunsets
were until the last time we were there, and I
was like, holy crap up there in the Sunset Bluff area.
Speaker 2 (46:00):
That's why they call the Sunset Bluff.
Speaker 3 (46:01):
Yes, absolutely amazing sunsets.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
Under you're one hundred feet off the water and just
on a clear night. Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
So pro tip go to the Italian restaurant up there
at Armando's and try to get there like right when
they open, so you can get a seat outdoors. You
can go so you can watch the sunset there.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
And then you can take a picture right at the table.
Speaker 3 (46:24):
Yep, there you go. Next up Antigo. We already kind
of briefly mentioned that this is where it faces the west,
and sunsets are just absolutely stunning, incredible directly over the ocean.
Speaker 2 (46:35):
Yes, incredible.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
Uh Mo Bay. So Mobai is a little bit different
to if you're you need to go to latitudes to
see the sunset.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
It's essentially the sunset bar. That's what I would call it.
They should rename it the sunset bar because you go
out there, it's an overwater bar. They have loungers that
hang over the water, almost like a hammock that you
can lay in, and the sun is setting over the
mountains and of Jamaica. It is stunning.
Speaker 1 (47:01):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (47:01):
You just look down to like your left and down
there and you can see the sunset, like George said,
setting behind the mountains and the ocean, and it's really
really pretty.
Speaker 2 (47:12):
I think we have an Instagram reel out there on
the Mobay sunset is just stunning.
Speaker 1 (47:16):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (47:17):
And then Nogrill, of course, Nigrill is known for their sunsets,
and if you go to Negrill, you also need to
go watch the sunset at Rix Cafe. Now, you know,
I said, Negrill is the place you go and chill
Rix Cafe is definitely very lively. Please to watch the sunset,
(47:38):
but it is awesome. I highly recommend doing it. They
will actually do. You can get your own private taxi
or they'll actually do like a group tours or like
a group bus that goes over there. And I think
it's twenty five dollars a person, but that's definitely worth
it in my opinion. And then last, but not least,
I had forgotten about this, but I just put it
(47:58):
on here. Saint Vincent had amazing sunsets.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
Oh you're right, yeah, because I.
Speaker 3 (48:02):
Was sinking back edition there look at you. Yeah, I
was singing back to our pictures and I have so
many like with the boats in the background and with
the sunset like setting you know, over the ocean essentially,
and it's absolutely stunning.
Speaker 2 (48:15):
It's incredible. It's incredible. All right, guys, I feel more information?

Speaker 3 (48:20):

Speaker 2 (48:45):
Yeah, and guys, check out. I can't stress enough. We

almost all of them, if not all of them on
our YouTube channel. So if you're if you're hearing stuff
you're interested in, like wow, I want to see a
little bit more of that, check out our log. It's
literally traveling through our eyes. We take the camera with
us every where we go. It's pretty fun and you
can see the whole thing. One thing I did want
to say, because a lot of a lot of our
(49:06):
followers might not know this, but you probably hurt us
our longtime listeners. Like we're talking about how great the
beach is that sandals at Zuma. Oh yeah, Sanda Zoom
doesn't exist anymore, so it couldn't make the list. Unfortunately.
I think whatever they're going to do, a beach is there,
and I think that'll definitely be an amazing beach. But yes,
at one time it would have been maybe the best
(49:27):
beach out of all the sand.
Speaker 3 (49:28):
Yeah, very chill in relax. But I did get a
little bit of inside info.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
Oh you have an update live.
Speaker 3 (49:35):
No, not not much of one. It's the fact that
there really is no update based Yeah, thanks to a
loyal listener and client, Amy who went to She loves
ag Zuma and she went to the resort next door
Grandall Resort and walked over there down the beach to
sandals and said that there was like nothing going on,
(49:55):
so love it. So I'm like, I don't know when
when that timeline is going to happen, if it still
is gonna happen, it makes me question it a little bit.
I don't know, so yeah, we will need to be.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
We will see. Yeah, all right. That leads us to
question the day question on the day here we go,
because we're talking a lot about resorts in the vibes
amenities of these resorts of one makes all unique. If
you could design your perfect all inclusive resort, what is
one must have feature it would need? Oh wow, uh,
(50:30):
this is your dream perfect resort. And we've been to gosh,
we've been to hundreds of resorts. I think I know
what my one must have would be uh wow, I
can go first if.
Speaker 3 (50:43):
You Yeah, you need to go first. I have like
a couple ideas of like designing my perfect resort, but yeah,
go ahead.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
Okay, I think so. One of my most favorite features
of any all inclusive resort is I love resorts that
have a rooftop pow year. I want some sort of
like rooftop pool with like a restaurant up there. I
want it to be an infinity pool, and I want
it overlooking something incredible, like the rooftop pool at Islamie
(51:12):
Harris at Secrets is La unbelievable, like that, like closest
I've ever been to Heaven. I'm telling you, Like, I
love that pool. And I think if you're gonna build
a resort from scratch, if you find a piece of
real estate that just has an amazing view, put a
pool up there, make it, make make the rooftop some
sort of elevated experience. And because usually especially if you're
(51:34):
on the coast, you gotta good breeze up there. Yeah
you know, And and and I can just sit out
there and stay at a great view in an infinity
pool with great service forever. That would be my one
thing that I would want my uncles resort to.
Speaker 3 (51:45):
Okay, uh, I'm going to give a couple of things.
Speaker 2 (51:51):
I've got one more after you.
Speaker 3 (51:52):
Okay, I'm just gonna give a I'm going to take
a few things that I let that I love about
Sandals resorts. Oh, I like that, and mesh them together
other and that would be my perfect resort.
Speaker 2 (52:02):
So one Adam listening or at Adam if you're listening,
get your notes out, get you out.
Speaker 3 (52:06):
So one is the setting of a Saint Vincent. So
a lot of the mountains are running with the mountains around, Yes,
absolutely stunning. I would say that combined with the beach
of the Grand Saint Lucian. And the reason why I
say that is because again you have more mountains from
the beach that you can see.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (52:26):
And I would say with the dining and bar concepts
of Dunge River.
Speaker 2 (52:33):
They have a butcher that does.
Speaker 3 (52:35):
Okay, yeah, that butcher's Adam Butch's. And then with the
service and friendliness of the people of Jamaica and Grenada
love that. There you go.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
Okay, And I forgot to mention Sandals Barbados actually is
a really good rooftop pool, really good rooftop pool infinity
looks over the rest of the resort.
Speaker 3 (52:53):
I think the Barbados is really good on Oh and
also one more thing I want to add and with
if it's going to be a long transfer with some
sort of like boat transfer option, there you go.
Speaker 2 (53:04):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (53:05):
I kind of add that in. So that's kind of
like my perfect plus. Plus it's a ton of swim
up rooms because I love a good swim up right.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
I love a good swim out room too. I love
the skypool suite, So I think my perfect resort would
have to have a rooftop pool. I would want a
skypool suite somewhere. But those are awesome, Like the Grenada
ones are just so special, my favorite room category of
all time. Yeah, also too, Sandals did this at Cuasal,
but it wasn't quite ready yet, and I think this
is really hard to pull off at an enclussor resort.
(53:33):
So what I would be open to is have this
be an up charge at an oncleussor resort, but have
like a wine bar, have a wine bar with some
good chart rudery, some nice cheeses, someplace to go for
like a pre dinner wine flight or something to kind
of kick the evening off right, I think wine millennials
are consuming wine at record rates right now. Wine bars
(53:55):
are just cool. It's an experience right now. It's probably
really hard to do at Oncquise resort because I gonna
open open up multiple bottles and are you gonna have
it all you can drink and all that's gonna get
real complicated. So I think you if you have to
up charge it to make it a nice experience, something
to consider. Yeah, But like one of the one of
the wine bars that I've never forgotten about on a
(54:16):
trip is on that Princess Cruise ship we went on.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
Oh yeah, that wine bar was really cool.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
They had a wine bar with wine flights and the
bar tender knew a lot about wine, so it's kind
of educational. I just thought that was really cool.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
Yeah, I would definitely.
Speaker 2 (54:29):
Yeah, get a little wine bar. It doesn't have to
be the biggest place because not everyone's in there. Just
you know, brushed to the wine bar and everyone's gonna
do it at once. Just have a few tables. I
think Kurosaw was doing it. I don't know if it was.
Speaker 3 (54:40):
It's still they still have a wine and dessert bar,
but I'm not entirely sure, like like what kinds of
wine they have their At the moment.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
When we were there, it was so new. I don't
think it was fully done yet.
Speaker 3 (54:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
Right, we tried to go or something.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
I can't it was. Yeah, it had only been opened
like six months.
Speaker 2 (54:56):
Yeah, that's right, that's right. Yeah, all right, guys, that's
a podcast.
