Questa corrispondenza, ricomposta in ordine cronologico dal direttore dell'Istituto Agrario di Piedimonte Matese Nicolino Lombardi (responsabile del ritrovamento), ha rivelato l'intreccio tra una storia privata e quella di una comunità in emigrazione tra la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e gli anni Ottanta, che Mela Boev ha deciso di adattare per l'omonimo racconto audio. Utilizzando anche le voci di residenti nel territorio stesso, in qualche modo, questo lavoro riporta alle orecchie storie che costituiscono le radici prossime, profonde e lontane della comunità del villaggio, ma mette anche in risalto il contrasto tra il micro e il macro cosmo in azione:
