La protezione non arriva solo dal mare: passa dalle piazze e dall’attenzione pubblica che obbliga i governi a smettere di fingere neutralità.
Domenica 28 settembre la delegazione italiana ha incontrato il ministro Crosetto. Nessun impegno ne è uscito. La portavoce Maria Elena Delia lo ha detto: l’assenza di azioni equivale a complicità con chi perpetua violazioni del diritto internazionale. Mentre l’ONU e la Corte penale parlano di genocidio, l’Italia continua a fornire armi e a mantenere accordi commerciali con Israele.
La richiesta è chiara: sanzioni, stop alle forniture militari, iniziative diplomatiche per corridoi umanitari e indagini indipendenti. Non sono parole radicali: sono misure già previste dalle convenzioni sottoscritte dall’Italia.
Il giorno 29 della Flotilla è un tempo sospeso: davanti c’è il Mediterraneo orientale, dietro un Paese che deve scegliere se essere spettatore o parte attiva nella difesa dei diritti.
