Good morning. We start the weekis Monday, March 11th. ABC'
s news. Today marks the twentiethanniversary of the greatest attack on Spain.
On March 20, two thousand twenty- four, four bombs on trains near
Madrid ended the lives of one hundredand ninety- two people and left thousands

(00:30):
injured. The origin was in ajihadist command established in Leganese. At ABC,
we dedicated several pages of the paperto the memory of this attack.
Pablo Muñoz, a journalist with theSpanish Section, interviewed Juan Carlos, a
police inspector and GEO member, whoparticipated in the operation in Leganés. When
they entered the floor on which thehijadistas were barricaded. Juan Carlos recounts how

(00:53):
the operation lived, which recalls anoperation that also had a bad outcome.
One of the Yiajadiss was immolated, something that got away with one more victim.
Agent Francisco Javierto Ronteras, Juan Carlos, tells how he thought everyone had
died behind the shockwave. It tellsof the horror that shook that operation,
which ended with a cloud of smokeand dust. Our colleague, Pablo Muñoz,

(01:17):
also spoke for the first time withthe Commissioner General of Police Information that
day Jesus of the Brunette. Inthe interview, he discusses issues such as
the political and social fracture that heassumed in his day. It also addresses
issues such as allegations of lack offoresight in the face of a possible attack.
That assessment of the threat was dealtwith although we dragged her several handicaps

(01:41):
The first of them is that, logically, the priority remained e of the
brunette. It tells of the strategicrole that Spain played as a target of
an attack with an electoral date afew days before the event, where the
withdrawal of Spanish troops in Iraq playeda decisive role. Spain is identified as
the weakest point in the coalition, the coalition that was operating in that Irac

(02:06):
war alongside the United States, theUnited Kingdom, Italy, and so on.
The Ex- Commissioner gives the keysto the investigation in his day.
We also told the stories of Irisand de vera both were girls. When
the attack happened. Iris lost histrinity mother and then, of course,

(02:27):
my mother would always pick me upfrom school when I saw she wasn'
t the same as she was pickingme up. For her part, Vera
lost her father Esteban. I rememberthat a lot, a lot of smoke
in a lot of chess I hadn' t even gotten out of bed.
I' ve woken up Mom's screams and that' s it.
Both tell how they lived that dayand how it was to receive the most

(02:53):
painful news you could expect tell howit was to get out of the pain
of losing someone. In those attacksand they relate what they feel today when
they hear about the eleven meters onthe special day, in memory of that
11th of March. We bring thosestories to light. You can go to
read them and see them in ournewspaper and through the ABC website. And

(03:14):
we' re going with politics. This government is going to fall, but
we are not going to let thiscountry fall. Sanchez will fall? Will
it fall? For the same reasonsthe popular leader, Alberto Núñez Eijo,
presented this Sunday twenty measures to strengthenequality between Spaniards. He did so at

(03:35):
a meeting held in Cordoba and surroundedby the twelve autonomous presidents of his party.
He has shown his road map andexpressed his absolute rejection of the policies
of the current Government. It hasalso stressed the need for union between self
- governments. Among these measures ofunion we find a unique selectivity for the
communities governed by his party also theextension of free education for the first cycle

(04:00):
of children. They also seek toestablish a single vaccination schedule and establish a
common framework for cancer prevention testing. In addition, greater coordination in immigration policies
and a national water pact are sought. To this they add that they want
to carry out a shock plan sothat there are more doctors in primary care

(04:25):
and in economic matters. The Ministerof Digital Transformation, José Luis Escriba,
wants the SEP and digital to reachstrategic companies. We talk about companies like
Talgo Logista, eleknor Rcross, Griffolsor Telefónica, companies that are in the
spotlight of foreign investors for the potentialof their business. Now the government,
through the newly created SED, theState Society for Technological Transformation, aims to

(04:48):
protect these companies that do not usuallyreceive aid because of their characteristics. The
SET is a company created for themanagement and coordination of public investments in areas
of innovation and through this, alreadythe Minister proposes the granting of credits,
suspensions, the taking of minority sharesor participations in these companies, a measure
that has already proposed to President PedroSánchez, and these have been the news
