no choice, you know, doing that thing, making it work.
So yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:44):
Who wants to be looking for a job this day
and age? Who wants to be starting over at this age? Like,
thanks are so much harder. They just hired my daughter
for a manager position. I'm so happy for my baby.
She's working in that Montgomery County area in nursing homes.
Speaker 6 (03:04):
I'm like, okay, good job. But then when I found.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
Out how much they was paying her, how many hours
they wanted to work, I was like, oh, it makes
sense because nobody our age would go for that.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
We wouldn't go for that. What I think about. He's like, oh,
this is good.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
I'm like, we'll go ahead and just get the title
on your resume, baby, so you can continue to be
the supervisor.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
The boss. Let's get to see our kids, you know,
stepping out there, you know, doing their thing.
Speaker 6 (03:40):
That part, that's what I love to see.
Speaker 7 (03:42):
You know.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
I didn't realize how much I coddled her.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
I didn't realize it, but apparently I do so so
I'm just trying to embrace this step back and let
her fly, little butterfly, Let her fly.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
That's right, that's right. Let her do a thing. Man.
So you're excited. I know the weather was kind of
fickle this week, you know, with the wind. You know,
today we had rain, but we have I think yesterday
was pretty nice. Yesterday it was almost seven right, yes.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
And it made me wish my convertible was on the road,
and I just got noticed that two of the rooms
that I ordered to replace the broken mess that's.
Speaker 6 (04:21):
On my car now.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
They aren't going to be a good fit, and that
my rooms have been discontinued, which is the story.
Speaker 6 (04:30):
Of my life.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Everything I like, it just gets discontinued. I am the
one percent when ninety nine point nine it's the majority.
I am that awkward outlier, Like it's so annoying. But yeah,
I don't even know where to go to find these rooms.
I've been looking for two years.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Wow, so you hit them? Tyrack man, ty.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
Rack, I want some oem original, you gotta.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Go to a jump yard. Then you went to the
jug junk yard.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
I'm not going and I was junk yard looking for
some good rams if they had accident, nah.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yard, d pay.
Speaker 6 (05:14):
Somebody to go in the junk yard and find me.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Apart, because a lot of time they you know, those
guys that go out there and look for it for you,
you know, put a request out there, they'll find it
for me.
Speaker 6 (05:24):
Thank you, batman. I didn't even consider that.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Yeah, man, that's how people keep the historic vehicles on
the road.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
That.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
Yeah, I was wondering, you know, like what should I do.
I have no idea. And it was a little tartening,
you know, because I was just so excited when I.
Speaker 6 (05:44):
Finally got to put everything together. I just ordered it all.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
At once, and I was just so excited. Batman, I'm like, yeah,
I got my rams, I bought the brakes, I got
them slided and drilled roaders.
Speaker 6 (05:56):
I got the lit little center caps, and then bought
all of little sensors. We're all for tires.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
You know.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
You know the thing about the spring is so nice.
You know you're thinking about, you know, getting your ride
out there, have it looking good because it went through
the winter, you know, and tack and everything. You know,
get your fresh rims, everything, you get the detail and
then what happens you put the window down on the roof.
And then we got piling.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
Spoil everything because you're gonna have a horrible day.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
You wear your mask.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Protectiousness like everything we need. We need those biohazard white.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
And before we were moving to this interview, I want
to know what insects is coming out this year. Last
year it was spoiled by the landing bugs, and before
that it was caters. So any new bugs coming this year?
Before I paint my deck.
Speaker 6 (07:03):
I know I got my deck done just doing that. Man,
just do it.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I'm gonna do it. It's time. Well anyway, because I
should have painted, you know, the end of the season,
because that's what you're supposed to do. But the bugs
was getting on my nerves.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
It's so good. Yeah, got mine done.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Idea was ready to paint. Break down on.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
He got man. He Then some guys came out of
that camp and some gals, you know, they can do
their thing. Man. I used to hang out there at lunchtime,
and she used to go visit doctor doctor Dave David
Blow some time when he was working there, and of
course you know he left the state of Maryland and
doing the stand. Everybody missing here because man, he can
(08:10):
stir up the youth. Boy, he can get them veins
pumping and who man, he never yelled so loud when
when he was preaching. It was like, I want if
they hear me more than they hear him. Yeah, he
can stand up, he can get you going. So anyway,
he called herself a doctor David breaking down blow. He
got a new book out and he's going. He's here
to talk to Kelly all about it. But before we
(08:32):
turned them over the car, I just want to say

Speaker 1 (09:30):
That's right, my home people, man, And I tell you
Daved I was when I when I was thinking about
this interview. Man, you know, I was thinking about back
in the day when Doorfield man watching you as a
little guy in the backyard, playing with your little talking
trucks bad and uh watching and growing up. You grew
up in that because his brother was my best friend,
you know when in middle school and I used to
(09:53):
go to church with their family.
Speaker 7 (09:55):
Green Springs Junior High School together.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
I remember that.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Yeah, we used to get chased home together from the
park Ice.
Speaker 4 (10:02):

and we did together.
Speaker 7 (10:21):
Don't like the claves.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Nobody mess with don'tbody mess with us, man. We were
tough guys to you, mane and you know we had such.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
Everybody else walked the timberlas and the and the lampstons,
and we walk the eyes ogs in the polo.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
With the hoods, with the leather coats, with the bombers,
with the leather bombers, with the fur on the hood. Yeah, man,
it's right, rang, then tell you I tell I tell
young guys all the time. I said, man, you know
I see you know you guys on YouTube, you know,
getting your little heads and you know, pranking girls and stuff.
(11:02):
I said, man, that is no fun.
Speaker 7 (11:04):
Man.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
We used to have fun, man. I remember we used
to compete and see how many phone numbers can you
get in one night at a disco. You know, that's
when girls used to talk to you and then and
then make you cry and make you feel bad about yourself.
It was the good old days.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
Man.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Everybody was happy. We didn't have a lot of money.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
That's so funy. We was so funny.
Speaker 7 (11:22):
Jerry, we were talking about that the other night because
we were talking about how when Frankie Beverly came on,
you had to get all the numbers you could because
that was the end of the night when they played.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Before I let go, I remember, some guys were still
on the parking lot trying to hit numbers, man, because
they missed out. Yeah, man, the.
Speaker 7 (11:44):
Old days, those were indeed the one the years.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Yeah, man, you have to worry about, you know, people
jacking you when you you know, when you was rolling
out at two thirty from the club, but they hit
another spot because it's opening up at three. Man, life,
life has.
Speaker 6 (11:59):
Really remembering yesterday.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
They really had some fun. That's why a lot of
cats didn't graduate from college right now.
Speaker 7 (12:09):
It is unfortunately at Morgan State University. So many went
there and instead of having a real major, they majored
in bridgeology right out of the school. Yeah, and now
Morgan has three bridges, so I can imagine how difficult
it is to graduate now.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Man, Wow, they're probably coming up be cause they're on
their phones. They don't see nothing on their phone about that.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
So true, so true.
Speaker 6 (12:35):
Problem that's going on right now, y'all stop, go over there.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
We're gonna catch up. Man, We're gonna catch up again.
Speaker 6 (12:43):
Man talk, I have.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
A great show, all right. I'm I'm gonna hold.
Speaker 6 (12:50):
Thank you. Man. I had to get them off. He
wouldn't stop.
Speaker 7 (12:54):
You know, he's gonna make a whole show out of
doorfield having tell.
Speaker 6 (13:00):
Me exactly tell it all the tea. We're trying to
slide it into the listeners.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
He just dropped it off.
Speaker 7 (13:11):
I'm my congregation already knows that I used to be
a DJ, so I'm glad i'd already let them know.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
That Amen, Amen, Amen, one more time. Thank you for
being here, Doctor Brown. Can you please let our listeners
know who you are and what it is that you do.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
Sir, absolutely.
Speaker 7 (13:28):
My name is doctor David Blow. I'm the lead campus
pastor of the River of Life Christian Center m Pombay
Campus where one church two locations. Our lead and founding
pastors in Orlando are pastors Marvin and Deborah Jackson.
Speaker 6 (13:42):
Amen. Thank you, doctor Blow.
Speaker 5 (13:44):
Please let us know how you feel about being a
minister for Christ.
Speaker 7 (13:49):
It is the you know, there used to be an
army commercial they said it's the toughest job you'll ever love.
And that's why I feel about being a minister for Christ.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
It is the.
Speaker 7 (13:58):
Toughest job that you ever love. But it comes with
so many rewards. You know. Oftentimes we talk about all
the rewards and the sweet buy and buy and the
here after in the New Jerusalem, but it comes with
so many rewards. I mean, there's nothing, there's no greater
honor than having the privilege of literally one of the
old saints in our churches, of escorting people from Earth
(14:19):
to Heaven and in that journey being with them doing
the high towns, you know, baby births, graduations, marriages, other
types of celebrations, watching people get safe and being with them,
doing the tough towns through sickness and through homegoing services,
but always being able to be in a place where
you can be salt and light and encouragement and hope
(14:40):
and healing. I mean, it's just against It's the toughest
job you'll ever love.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
Amen, and I love the way you put that. How
is your connection from Morgan to Howard and then ministry?
And how did that come about?
Speaker 6 (14:56):
You know?
Speaker 4 (14:56):
God?
Speaker 7 (14:57):
You know, the Bible talks about how the steps of
a good person or ordered the Lord, and literally that's
how God ordered my steps.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
You know.
Speaker 7 (15:03):
One of one of the great things about Morgan was
that Morgan gave me so many opportunities for leadership and
so many opportunities to to to learn how to interact
with people. Uh.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
If you can remember how Morgan was in the nineties.
Speaker 7 (15:17):
You know, that was before technology, so you had to
be persuasive just to get in certain classes, you know,
and and and so Morgan gave me opportunities for leadership
within the fraternity, within student government and other outlets. Uh.
And then I was I was a communications major in
Morgan and literally and my last semester, my plan was
(15:38):
to go on to Howard and get my Master of
Fine Arts in Film.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
But in that last semester.
Speaker 7 (15:43):
God said, you have you have the right university, but
the wrong school. And literally, uh, he said, not the
School of Communication, but the School of Divinity. And through
I said, God, well if you get me in there,
because at that time, the only thing I knew was
that the Lord will my shepherd. I wasn't sure where
to find that, and I applied. I applied to the
(16:04):
Howard University School of Divinity and got my acceptance letter
from the School of Divinity way before my acceptance letter
to the School of Communication.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
So that let me, that was where God.
Speaker 7 (16:14):
Was ordered myself.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 5 (16:19):
You know when he's ordering your stuff, it's such an
easy travel, you know, like all the resources are worked out.
All you have to do is put forth the first
foot and if you can't do it, ask God to
carry you into his glory, you know. So I'm glad
that he broke that out of you.
Speaker 6 (16:34):
You know. Bishop had a similar story. And when I say.
Speaker 5 (16:37):
Bishop, I mean our bishop, doctor Walter Scott Thomas senior.
I am definitely a baby from New Summons. That is
my church home. My grandmother's is on the diagonal and
all right now, moxnox is a thing still.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
I guess I guess your appetite.
Speaker 7 (17:04):
Will read, uh, new Saw is Born, New sawmist bread
and when I die, I'll be dead.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
There you go, there you go.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
But there was a time when I was coming up,
you know, I just I was like, well, that's just
the church I've always known, so I wanted to experience
other places. When I tell you I ran back home,
I've ran back home. I love being under the leadership
of our pastor, and I'm so glad to have a
fellow member on the line today.
Speaker 6 (17:34):
Thank you so much for being here with us.
Speaker 7 (17:37):
Well, it's honored to hang out with you today, Kelly.
I'm so honored to be here and to just have
an opportunity to have a conversation to share with you.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
Hey man, and let's get to it. So we have
a book that just came out. I don't know if
this is one of many, but please talk to us
about the book and it's provoking title, The Son of
the Side check.
Speaker 7 (17:59):
Yes, the Son of the Side Chick. It's my brand
new book, I'm Believing God. It's going to be the
first of many I'm calling it. To break it down
below series. This particular book is I call it the
Son of a side check a print revival. It's a
collection of Actually the book is set up like a revival.
If you can remember, way back in the day before
(18:20):
we went to two and three nights revivals, revivals were
seven days long, and so this book is set up
for somebody to read over the course of seven days.
It starts out with a prelude because you can remember
that before there were praise and worship teams, and like
we had testimony services. The deacons we get up and say,
does anybody have a testimony to share? So I opened
(18:42):
up the book by sharing just some of the testimonies
that have made me into the man of God that
I am today. Because God is God has allowed me
to experience his miracle working power, his miracle working signs,
his miracle working wonders. And often people wonder, what is
your backstory? And so in the testimony the service, I
give my backstory of how I've seen God do amazing things,
(19:04):
including you know, bringing people back from the dead. And
so I share that testimony. And then I go into
the chapter one, which is the Son of the side Ships.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
And and that that that that.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
Is based on a character in the Bible known as Jephta.
And if you can remember, if if you ever read
about Jepter, he's listed in the Hebrews chapter eleven in
the Hall of Faith. But he's listed along with all
the other greats in the Bible. He's listed listed along
with David and Gideon and Barak and Deborah. But Jepta
is like an afterthought. But when you read in Judges
chapter eleven, you see the Jepta was was was was
(19:38):
was not the son of his of his mother, and
his stepmother, and all his brothers discounted him, and and
and did.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
Not think did not it? Just like they said, they
did not did not I think he could come to anything.
Speaker 7 (19:51):
But God did something where the gifts and talent and
oil that were on Jepta's life they needed and they
had to go back. And and it was through Jepter
that not only God saved them, but he preserved the
whole nation. And the great thing that I love about
Jepter's life is that when you go back to the
Hall of Fame, none of the people that hated on Jepter.
None of the people that discounted Jepters, their names aren't
(20:13):
in the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
But j Just's name is in the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 7 (20:17):
And so we can't worry about what people say about us.
We can't worry about people that people hate on us
or how they do it. We have to understand that
God has a plan for our lives, and God has
a seat for us in the faith Hall of Fame.
So that's that's that's that's that Chapter one and all
of the other chapters follow that same theme. You know,
(20:39):
the Bible talks about in Timothy. It's like that anybody
who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus
will be persecuted. One of the things that has happened,
particularly in Western world Christianity, is that we believe that
if we ever have hardships, if we ever have difficulty,
if we ever have sickness, if we ever have pain,
(20:59):
set back or disappointment, that somehow the Lord God is
no longer on our side. But that's not truth, because
if you want to see the anointing of God, you know,
if you're going to see the power of God may
manifest in your life. It's manifested through those things we
go through that we have no control of, but the
Master does, and the Master works through us to to
(21:20):
to to make us into who he wants us to be.
Speaker 6 (21:24):
Amen.
Speaker 5 (21:26):
Amen, And it is such a transition. What do you
think about the afterlife? Do you think when we go
into that ground is over? Or do you think our
souls go through a journey that's meant to break us
and then leads us to heaven? What do you think
we just ascend.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
All? You know, that's that's interesting.
Speaker 7 (21:47):
You know when you when you read the Book of Revelation,
you know when you're when one of the things that
you read there is that you find that the souls
of the martyrs are talking to the Lord and they're
they're saying, you know, Lord, when are you going to event?
So I believe that when a child of God dies,
when they close their eyes on this side, they open
up their eyes on the other side. But one of
the things that we understand from reading the Book of
(22:09):
Revelation chapter twenty through to the end of the book
is that Heaven as we know it is not our
final resting place. Because we understand that there will be
a resurrection, and that we will be a new Heaven,
and there will be a new Earth.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
And so our final abode is in.
Speaker 7 (22:23):
The new Jerusalem, with the resurrected Christ walking those streets
of gold and living in His glory forever and ever,
in a place where there's no need for the sun,
because the Lamb is our son.
Speaker 6 (22:34):
Amen. Amen, you know I'm scared of Revelations.
Speaker 7 (22:43):
Never be never be, Never be afraid of the back
of the book, because that's the best part of the book,
because the book reminds The book reminds us that we
do have the victory. The book reminds us that even
as we're dealing with things on earth, God is working
on our behalf in heaven. The book reminds us that
we overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb
and the words of our testimony.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
The book reminds us that in the end we.
Speaker 7 (23:06):
Will stand with the Lord Jesus Christ. And I think
that's why one of the reasons why the enemy tries
to keep us out of the back of the book.
And I think that's one of the reasons why when
the Lord, when the Angel dictated the Book of Revelation,
to John. He reminded him that not only is there
a blessing for reading the book, there's a blessing for
doing what it says and taking the hearts of things that.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
Are living, that are there.
Speaker 7 (23:25):
So you have to go on beyond James and into
that book of Revelation because it'll bless you every time.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
Hey Man, thank you for that advice, doctor Blow. I
truly appreciate it. I've read my Bible twice. I'm sure
you've read George more. But I just I just kind
of get through it. I just kind of get through
it when it comes to revelations. But I've always had questions,
and so I'm curious, like when you're in ministry school,
(23:53):
what is that?
Speaker 7 (23:54):
Like?
Speaker 6 (23:55):
How does this shame?
Speaker 4 (23:56):
It is?
Speaker 7 (23:57):
For me? It is the most It was the most
amazing process ever. I was blessed to go to Howard
at a time where their superstar legendary faculty was there.
Doctor King Hopefelder, who was the most renowned author and
researcher on the African presence of the Bible, Doctor Courtwright Davis,
(24:18):
for was the theology of systematic theology, doctor Kelly Brown Douglas,
and womanists and women's studies, doctor Cheryl Sanders, and Pentecostal theology,
I mean Bishop Joseph Taylor in church administration. So I
was there when legends of our communities, legends of black
theological thought, were actually on staff and teaching there. And
(24:42):
you know, you talk about God's timing. I remember when
when I went to grad school. Many people are like,
don't go to grad school now, you know you need
to come out and work. But God was like, no,
you need to go now, because some moments are so
pregnant that if you miss them, they may not come
back around in that way. And and those persons are
just so blessed me and influenced my theology, particularly doctor
(25:03):
Kane Hopefelder. I don't I don't know what it was
about me that that he took a liking to me,
but he came. He became a very trusted mentor on
a trusted professor, as did doctor court Wright Davis. I
tell you when my wife and I got married, the
whole faculty of Howard University Divinity School showed up at
our wedding, and it was, oh my goodness, it was.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
It was such a blessed.
Speaker 7 (25:28):
Right. You see, years later I'm still talking about that.
But what I tell people all the time, Uh, the
Master of Divinity program is a rigorous program. Uh. It's
a three year program, and it's kind of.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
Like the first year is a stripping.
Speaker 7 (25:42):
The second year is a refilling, and the third year
is a building back up and ascending out. And it
is it is an awesome process. And and for me,
especially as I told you know, I went to seminary, uh,
knowing that the Lord was my shepherd, knowing that Jesus wept,
but not knowing.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
Where to find either.
Speaker 7 (26:00):
But by the time I came out, you know, I
was like one of those old things to say, I
know what I.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
Know, that I know what I know. You can't make
me doubt.
Speaker 7 (26:07):
Them because I know too much about them. And theology
seminary is different from Bible school. You know, a Bible
school trained you in the Bible. Seminary teaches you how
to think and react theologically, how to be able to
understand the things of God, how to be able to
even understand other non Christian faith traditions, and so that
(26:29):
when you're engaging with those traditions, you can still hold
fast to your faith. Not being disrespectful to anybody but
still fast to your faith and beliefs.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
So I wish that.
Speaker 7 (26:41):
I know it's not for everybody, but I wish everybody
could have the opportunity to matriculate through a seminary experience
like I had when I went to Howard University.
Speaker 6 (26:52):
Hey Man, thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (26:54):
How it is one of our most famous h and
I'm so glad for his part popularity and all of
the great things is done throughout the years for our
community and for the leaders that we have. Now, what
do you think about the power of your calling? You know,
God lad to heavy task on you, and you seem
to just step up, willing, ready and able. And now
(27:17):
you're in this position so many years later, what do
you think about the journey that He's given you?
Speaker 7 (27:25):
I am I am so grateful for my journey. You know,
every every journey in the Lord has hiccups. And sometimes
when you're going through hiccups, you're like, wow, am I'm
in the I in the right place? Am I doing
the right thing? But I am at a place in
life where I can you know, how you can look
back and you can truly see, Wow, all things do
indeed work together for the good of those that love God,
(27:47):
and those are called according to steps, according towards purpose. Indeed,
the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. Uh.
There's a there's an old gospel song that that you
would hear, the old mother singer I'm a soul job
heart all the Lord and.
Speaker 6 (28:04):
Ricky Smiley do it. Yeah, with your soldier in the
army of the Lord.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
Yes, sometimes you might get a signed to.
Speaker 7 (28:21):
One base and if you stay on that base through
your whole career. Other soldiers in the same army get
moved from base to base to base.
Speaker 4 (28:28):
And I have been one that has been blessed to
serve in ministry and a lot.
Speaker 7 (28:32):
Of different locations. I've been in Maryland, I've been in Pennsylvania.
I've been on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Now God
has me on the Space Coast of Florida. And it
has been a wonderful journey. I've served in the academy.
My wife and I both taught on the faculty of
the Dune Cookman University School of Religion under the Yeah,
under the legendary Dean Randolph Bracy, And I mean, it
(28:54):
has just been a marvelous journey to now serving at
the River of Life Christian Center on Paum Baykermus under
the dynamic leadership of Pastors Marvin and Deborah Jackson, and
all the people and lives that you are able to
And I've been, you know, been to Africa, the Lagos, Nigeria,
and all the people and lives that are able to
bless your life and the lives that you are able
(29:14):
to bless along the way.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
There's a book I'll call it. I wouldn't take nothing
for my journey.
Speaker 7 (29:19):
And I wouldn't take anything for my journey, and and
and the the anointing that you know, the anointing. One
of the things that we don't understand is the anointing
is a privilege. You know, the anointing is not the
anointing is not a right, But the anointing is a privilege.
And to have the privilege of God pouring out his
(29:39):
anointing through me as his vessels, because none of us
are worthy, because it's the blood of Jesus that makes
us worthy. But to have God pour out his anointing
in this unworthy vessel, to use me to his glory,
Oh my goodness, you won't get me.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Shout right here in this enemy, shout.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
On shout, be there blessed.
Speaker 7 (30:02):
Yes, and you know the good thing of the grace
of you know, William Murphy things, there's a grace on
my life to release the glory of God. And when
you understand that, wherever you are, you know, and it's
not just for those of us who have you know,
reverend pastor elder bishop in front of our names. It's
(30:22):
for all of us as children of God. All of
us have a grace on our life to release the
glory of God, you know, to release the glory of
God when we're flying, to release the glory of God.
Where we're in the grocery stores, publics down there's joining up,
is joining up, there's publics down here to release the
glory of God in our workplaces and in our neighborhood spaces.
That's a great privilege that God trusts the message of
(30:44):
salvation to us. The Bible talks about how we are
not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for it
is the power of God for the salvation of everyone,
so that God allows us to be conduits through which
the power of salvation can flows. It's an amazing privilege
and I'm just grate before.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
It because I mean the way you put it, it's
like I just want to be a part of it.
So sometimes here's a question, and with your theological background,
I'm very interested in the answer.
Speaker 6 (31:17):
Do you think that we are truly forgiven for our sins?
Speaker 5 (31:21):
Well, we'll that book that we hear about open up
and judge us.
Speaker 6 (31:27):
We whien we get to those gates.
Speaker 7 (31:30):
The Bible.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
The Bible says that if you confess.
Speaker 7 (31:32):
With your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God raised them from the dead, you shall
be saved. Our salvation is eternal. Now, the Bible also indicates, though,
that you can lose your reward for for for example, uh,
if you have children, you may have been planning to
you know, you tell your children, hey, listen, when I
come back, I want this house to be cleaned, because
you may have been planning to take them to the park,
(31:54):
or you may have been planning to take them to
the toy store. But you come back and find the
house is not clean. There's still your children. They can
still live in the house, but that extra reward that
you have for them that gets held back because they
didn't do what you asked them to do. So you
can't lose your salvation, but you can lose your reward.
Jesus says, behold, I come quickly, and my reward is
(32:14):
with me, and I will give to every person according
to what they have done. So when you speak of
the Book of Life from Revelation chapter twenty, it's as
anybody's name who's not found written in the land's book
of life was thrown into the burning lake.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
Of fire, which is the second death.
Speaker 7 (32:30):
So our profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
saves us from the second death. It keeps us from
going into the lake of fire. But how we walk
out this salvation thing determines what our reward is.
Speaker 4 (32:42):
Here's another example.
Speaker 7 (32:44):
You know this, This example has some holes that I'll admit,
but here's an example. You have a you have an efficiency,
you have a one bedroom, you have a two bedroom,
you have a three bedroom, you have a townhouse, you
have a single family house, and you have a man
and so all these are rewards. But you know, so
you you you get to glory. But because you didn't
(33:06):
do everything that you were supposed to do, you were
you were you were scheduled for a mansion. But Goda
let's put you in the condo. Oh because.
Speaker 6 (33:16):
The drop.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
What Praise God, you's still there.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
But yeah, some of your rewards, you know, because I
often think about the leaders, you know how the patriarchs,
you know, how they did so much but couldn't quite
see the end result for whatever reason. And I always
think like, well, weren't they good enough? Or or or
(33:42):
when people tell me not to be violent, I'm like,
but wasn't David over there just licen people like Saul
killed three thousand, but David killed a million.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
Or something like.
Speaker 6 (33:53):
It was just ridiculous a thousand and David did three thousand.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
You know it's thousands, yes.
Speaker 6 (34:00):
Excuse me. So I'm just curious, like, how does this
thing really work? I don't know.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
I guess I'm super curious right now. And I'm glad
that he had to bring some clarity to my questions.
Speaker 6 (34:13):
That's my last question.
Speaker 7 (34:16):
That's a great question.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
That's a great question. It works like this.
Speaker 7 (34:20):
Is that as children of God, we have to keep
our ear to God's mouth continually and constantly, because we.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
Need to hear what God is saying in each and
every occasion.
Speaker 7 (34:32):
There was occasion where David called on the Lord and
he said, shall I go up and attack? And God said,
go right on up.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
And there's another occasion where he says, shall I go
up in attack? He said, yes, you should go up
in tack, but this time.
Speaker 7 (34:43):
Do it this way, you know, go up behind a
bow some trees. And so we have to keep our
ear to God's mouth at all times to hear what he.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
Is saying, particularly in the times that we are living.
Speaker 7 (34:54):
And we often talk about the men of Ishakar will
understood the times and knew what it was that they
needed to do. Is that the men of Ishakar were
able to understand the times and know what it was
they needed to do because they stayed in constant and
consistent fellowship with the Almighty God. You know, it's to
to to to live a seriously sold out life for
(35:15):
the Lord Jesus Christ. We can't have a little dad
will do your type of faith, you know. We can't
just we can't, you know, we can't have a drive
through faith, you know, but we have to.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
We have to be in a.
Speaker 7 (35:24):
Place where God is our most important thing. We spend
time hearing from Him each and every day. And when
we hear from him, we we go back and we say, God,
is that you, and we make sure that we hear
from him, and we don't move out without checking in
with God, because just like his mercies are new every morning,
sometimes his commands and his orders to us are new
(35:45):
every morning. And if if, if, if we make if,
we become so religious that we're not big on being
in relationship with them, you know. And you guys were
talking about my wife. My wife and I are in relationship,
and that means we check in with one another, We
spend time with one another. We can finish each other's
sentences because we've been in relationship for so long. And
that's the way God wants us to be. God wants
(36:07):
us to be in a place where we are so
used to his voice that, you know another, we will
not follow another, we would not listen to.
Speaker 6 (36:15):
Amen.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
Amen, Thank you so much for all of these questions
that you've asked and provided insight for all of our listeners.
Speaker 6 (36:22):
Because I just want to know what happens at the end.
Speaker 5 (36:26):
You know, am I part of that special number like
thee hundred something thousand or you know them? I'm always
curious about the end, and so thank you so much
because I'm sure, I'm not the only person that has
some blanks in their understanding. And so how do you
mold all of this, you know, the ministry, the sales,
and the traveling and then your face with God, like,
(36:48):
how do you balance it all having a family and
a wife and children?
Speaker 6 (36:53):
How do you do that?
Speaker 7 (36:55):
Well? I operate the under the mantra that first and foremost,
my first.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
And primary ministry is to my family. That is my
first ministry. I am the.
Speaker 7 (37:04):
Priest of my household. So my first and foremost ministry
is to my family. To make sure that that I
one of the one things that my wife and I do.
Speaker 4 (37:13):
And we have a we have a contest, so.
Speaker 7 (37:15):
Who can out bless one another?
Speaker 4 (37:17):
I try to out bless my wife.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
I try. I try to.
Speaker 7 (37:19):
I try to out bless her and guess what, you know,
what she hasn't heard to do. She try to out
bless me back, you know, and then you know what,
you know, how I respond. I try to out bless
her back, and and then we try to overflow. Then
we try to overflow that blessing into the lives of
our children to be there to support them and whatever
it is that they're doing, and whatever it is.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
That they're undertaking so that.
Speaker 7 (37:40):
Our children know that no matter what our schedule, no
matter what is going on in our lives, they always
have access to us. One of the blessings my wife
shared this when she was on the line.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
With the with on the previous show, was that our
children were homeschooled, So that meant that even when we
did have to travel for ministry, guess what everybody could go.
Everybody could go.
Speaker 7 (37:58):
So if if it was if it if it's a
ministry trip to Arizona, guess what we're gonna go to Arizona.
We're gonna do the ministry event, and guess what we're
gonna go, see the Grand Canyon. If it's a ministry
trip to California, guess what everybody's gonna go. And then
after that, guess what we're gonna go walk down on
Hollywood Boulevard and do some sight seeing.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
So family is my first ministry.
Speaker 7 (38:16):
And if I'm a good steward over my family ministry,
God gives me the privilege of being a good steward
over his bride, which is the Church, because he gave
me a bride, doctor Tanita blow. His bride is the
Church of Jesus Christ. I am just. I am just
a bride's maid. I'm a bride attendant. As a pastor,
I'm a bride attendant. My job is to attend to
(38:37):
his bride. But understanding that that is not my bride.
He gave me a bride. I take care. I'm a
caretake of his bride. But he gave me a bride,
and so if I take good care of my bride,
then he allows me to be responsible for his bride
and the care and maintenance of his bride on earth
until he comes back to consummate his marriage with the church.
Speaker 6 (38:56):
Hey, man, I love it. It sounds like poetry coming
from your mouth. You go, I'm like, go ask doctor blow.
Make it plain and clear for you. Go excect the blow.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
Ask God a doctor blow.
Speaker 7 (39:13):
Yes, you know I love I love technology now because
you know, you back in the day, you know you
had to run speak a wire over every place and everything,
But now you know everything is connected by bluetooth.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
I'm just a Bluetooth.
Speaker 7 (39:27):
Speaker of the Almighty God. This is not my Nothing
you're hearing is original for me. It's just I'm just
a Bluetooth I'm just repeating what I hear.
Speaker 5 (39:34):
My father say, hey man, and it's coming through with
great clarity. Halleluijah, and thank you for being in this
place for others, because you know our listeners say tune
in there all over the world. And we all yearned
and thrust for the glory and the blessing about saving
Jesus Christ. And we're grateful that we have servant leaders
(39:55):
and ministers and people that take up leadership positions within
the church so that they can a blessing onto us
is to teach us the ways so we don't fall
short of our Father's glory. Please let us know as
we wrap up our show, how we can support you
with your newly authored book, The Son of the Side Check.
(40:16):
Where can we find you? Where can we bring you on?
What are your websites? This is your time to plug
plug away, doctor.
Speaker 7 (40:25):
Blow awesome, awesome, Well, I'm gonna take full advantage of
its book is The Son of the Side Check of
print revival.
Speaker 4 (40:33):
Literally, this book is.
Speaker 7 (40:34):
A revival in print, and I believe that it will
bless just like revivals brings you to a different place
of breakthrough, deliverance and understanding. I believe that every reader
of this book when by the time they get to
this end of this book, they will be in a
different place of breakthrough, deliverance and understanding. That's why the
last chapter of the book is called My Year to See
the Lord, and because after you get through this book,
(40:56):
you're going to understand that God wants to show you
something to stand that. Prophetically, right now, it's fifty seven
to eighty four on the Hebrew calendar, and that means
it's the year of Divine Vision and open heavens because
God wants to show us some things. And I believe
that through this book, God is going to show people
some great things. I just see this book getting thrown
up in the ads. People just fall on their face
(41:19):
and cry out to the Almighty God. So I believe
it's going to bless people. If you want to connect
on me on social media, I'm on all social media

spit in the two one, two, one five and all
(43:47):
the good things about Charms City. You know, when you're
away from Charms City, you'll only hear the negative. But
growing up there, you know, there's a lot of positive
about Charmers.
Speaker 6 (43:56):
That's great, that's right. Any last words, yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
You tell him, doctor Dacy. Yes, the thing man people
always think about. The wire was like the city wide.
Speaker 6 (44:08):
Oh goodness, just made us a dirty Please we got
going to Baltimore. We saw the wire.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
I love to talk about the good old days. Just
the paint of you know, paint a good picture of us, man.
Speaker 6 (44:25):
Wall Man, I said the nineties. It was probably the eighties.
Speaker 4 (44:29):
You tell people, you tell people away away from the DMV.
Speaker 7 (44:32):
Yeah, I grew up in West Baltimore.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
Oh, I feel.
Speaker 4 (44:37):
So sorry for you.
Speaker 6 (44:40):
We saw the wire.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
It was like twenty guys on the wire. It was
a city man. You know, my son actually worked on
that set. He did an internship from Morgan. Yeah, they
use the opportunity. My car was actually you on the Set's.
Speaker 6 (45:04):
God, I know that's right, Ben Man, Thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (45:11):
Not the blow.
Speaker 6 (45:11):
Before we close out this evening, you mind praying for us.
Speaker 7 (45:15):
Absolutely, It would be my great honor, my great privilege, privilege. Father.
We come this evening in the mighty name of Jesus, God, thanking, blessing,
and praise the old God.
Speaker 4 (45:24):
Because indeed, God, you are the most high God.
Speaker 7 (45:27):
The Bible tells us that all of the gods are
the nations are idols, they're fakes, their phonies. But you
are the real deal. God. You are the God who
sits high and the God who looks low. So God,
right now, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Lord God,
I pray, Lord God for the entire audience that's tuned
into this podcast. God God, my prayer, Lord God, if
there's any sickness that you would heal it. If there
(45:48):
are any problems, that you would solve them. If there's
any provision that you would provided. If there's any questions,
Lord God, that you would answer it, Lord God. If
there's any chaos, Lord God, that you would bring peace.
Lord God. I pray God that in the lives of
your people, God, you would throw your weight around, that
you would show your power and make your presence known.
God and God, I pray Lord God for a special
(46:10):
favor upon Jerry and Kelly. Lord God. I thank you,
Oh God, for their wonderful graciousness. Lord God, and allow
me to come on, Lord God and talk about this
new project that you've blessed me with.
Speaker 4 (46:20):
