Hi, my name is Taylor. I am a first year
pharmacy student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and
I am in the Distant Education Pathway.

And thank you so much for joining us today. Taylor
to get started with Wigham, so off with the first question,
which is one thing you want to pursue a career
in pharmacy.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
I'd actually wanted to be a pharmacist since i was
eight years old, and the biggest reason is because I
have three older brothers that at the time were all
going to school to be pharmacists, and I grew up
watching them go through their educational experiences and their professional
pharmacy experiences. As I've gotten older, it has become a

passion of mine to be able to help my community
and be an accessible healthcare professional.

I chose le COM because when I was going through
the pharmacy application process, LECOM was the only school that
really reached out to me and asked if I needed
any help, and they advise me on how to make
my resume look more appealing in any next steps that

I should take if I did not get accepted, So
they weren't just going to give me a denial of admission.
They were actually willing to help me build my resume
to be a more competitive pharmacy school applicant. And going
through that process helped me realize that not only are

the professors and the faculty and staff very helpful, but
also the student ambassadors. I spoke to a lot of
students and the different pathways of pharmacy school and they
were very very helpful, and I knew that I wanted
to be an environment that I would feel like I
could get a lot of help in my journey to
(03:42):
becoming a pharmacist.
