CEO of Resilience Stars Marketing, andshe is here to share with us her

story not only on resilience, buton an absolute legacy that you are all
going to be inspired by. Beth, we want to welcome to the show.
How are you today? Great?Thank you Joseph for the great introduction.
Well, Beth, I give greatintroductions to great guests, and I'm
not gonna lie when I say thatyour story is absolutely inspiring. Now for

all of us out there, youknow, we all know what it's like
to struggle. We all know whatit's like to struggle to reach goals,
and we all have our own personalstories to share. I want you to
start us off, Beth, withyour story. Start us off when you
were a single mom. As asingle mom, you were kind of getting
(01:49):
ready to leave for your deployment,and I racket us, pick us up
there and tell us what happened.Yeah, So I actually joined the North
Carolina Army National Guard when I endedup being single and I have three kids
to take care of and money wastight. So the National Guard not only
(02:12):
gave me funds for college so Iwouldn't I could go to college without being
in debt, and it also gaveme the weekend trainings was what I paid
the power bill with. And Iknew at the time we were already at
war, so there was a riskof me having to be deployed. But
my thought process was, I havethree kids. I need to take care
(02:35):
of them now. And I alsoI felt it was super important for them
to have a legacy, somebody intheir lives that they could be proud of
that did something significant to change ourfamily history. So I was willing to
take the risk. I was willingto die for them to have a good
(02:58):
legacy. So I joined the ArmyNational Guard, and then in two thousand
and five I was deployed to Iraq. And in Iraq, I was a
combat engineer, so I operated likeheavy dozers, graters, front end loaders
and that kind of thing. Andwe had a fleet of dump trucks,
(03:24):
so when we were not traveling fromFOB to FOB, we would take our
dump trucks. And they didn't reallyhave a good management system for garbage back
then, so they in Iraq theyliterally burned everything, so we'd haul everything
to the burn pits, and sowe were directly exposed. There was a
(03:46):
lot of people from my unit thatended up with cancer. I myself am
a two time ovarian cancer survivor.I just finished Keep Up Chemo April eleventh,
just a few months ago, andI'm happy to announce I'm now cancer
free. But since that's amazing,congratulations on that because that's huge, and
(04:15):
I haven't just have a couple ofquestions and let me interject for a second.
The first question I had was,you know, when you first joined
the military, and I know thatyou mentioned that you obviously you're parents,
so you're going to be willing tomake any kind of sacrifices for your kids.
Did you expect to be deployed toIraq? Though? I mean,
was that like in your mind,like this could happen. Well, what
(04:39):
I tell you, when we werein basic training, they pretty much drilled
that into our brains that hey,you're most likely going to war. So
I knew that there was a bigchance that I was going to be deployed,
but I was willing to take thatchance because I needed to pay a
power bill. No, I appreciatethat, Thank you so much. And
(05:01):
I think I think a lot ofour young ones who have joined the military,
I think that was the mindset,or that is the mindset behind it
as well. It's you know,they're trying to, you know, either
take care of some financial things.Are are something that you mentioned as well,
where you mentioned you want you wantedto kind of you know, set
a legacy for your children that youknow, their mom did something different,
(05:23):
and I think I think that's themindset behind of a lot of our young
people as well. I'm so gladthat you mentioned, though about the work
that you do, because I thinkthis is important to bear in mind,
especially as the world continues to change. That you mentioned the waste management system
that they had, that they hadit wasn't it wasn't. Well, a
(05:45):
lot of people from you know,your area, you know, contracted cancer.
I guess my question to you is, I mean, I don't know,
I don't know how to how tosay this and not I mean,
do you is that a regret?I mean, does that make sense?
No? I it was just partof the job and we were all in
(06:10):
Iraq knowing that there is a risk. I'm very disappointed and the powers that
be that were not responsible and thinkingthings through. I think I'm well in
my rights to be a little bitdisgruntled about irresponsibility. But it is what
(06:33):
it is, you know, andevery situation we have throughout our lives,
we go through it for a reason. And you know, this was just
part of my life plan and it'ssomething that happened, and I got through
it, and now I have anopportunity to make an impact and hopefully make
(06:58):
a difference in the world. Iappreciate you know, you have such an
amazingly positive attitude about it. Andand you know, and I'll tell you
this and this is just you know, coming from for me as someone who's
lived a very interesting life with alot of interesting experiences, is that you
know what I know, There's sometimesbad things happen, you know, and
(07:21):
but sometimes those bad things happen becauseof people who are not taking the proper
responsibility. And I love how youmentioned that you do have a right to
be a little bit disgruntled. Absolutely, somebody dropped the ball. Several people
dropped the ball, and a youngwoman who was trying her best to do
her best was not looked at beforein the way that she should have been
(07:44):
looked at before. And I'm proudof you for not allowing the situation to
utterly destroy you and your and yourand your brilliant and positive mindset. Because
when we look at you, andwhen we see your smile and just how
vibrant you are, and it's it'sso inspiring to see that you came out
of this situation with such an amazinglypositive attitude, and I think it really

speaks to just your your utter resilience, you know what I mean. That's
why I named my company Resilient Stars. I was gonna say that. I'm
like, God has to be areason. And now you are the CEO
and founder of Resilient Stars Marketing becauseyou didn't just take your own legacy and

let it sit there. Now you'reout there helping other individuals achieve their goals.
So let's let's let's transition this conversationa little bit. Let's talk a
little bit about how did you getgo from military to now be a CEO
and founder and helping other individuals.Well, of course there's a few things
that happened in there between, butlong story short. So when I came
(08:56):
back from Iraq, I went towork for so Security Administration, which was
a great job, good stable income. I didn't have any passion for what
I was doing, and I reallywanted to find something that I was passionate
about. So I went a littlecrazy and quit my job in twenty seventeen.
(09:22):
And I didn't really have a goodclear plan, which I would not
advise that for anybody. But Ijumped right into some MLM thing, lost
a bunch of money, and Ihad to stand back a little bit and
say, Okay, what do Ireally need to do. And when you
first start learning how to put togetheryour own business, you find that it's
(09:48):
really a lot of just your mentalspace, how you perceive things, how
you think about things, and howyou learn things. And I wasn't a
very good learner then, and soI decided at forty five that I was
going to go back to college tolearn how to learn. So I did
that. I went back for anIT degree, and I graduated from Mitchell
(10:11):
Community College in North Carolina twenty twentytwo with an IT degree in networking,
which was amazing because I had triedto go to college four times in my
life, and because I had kidsearly on, I could never finish.
So I finally finished, and Ilearned a lot about actually the way your
(10:35):
brain works by learning technology. That'sa whole different subject. But long story
short, Resilience Stars comes from allthe times in my life where I've had
to restart for one reason or another, and I've put my passion in here
(11:01):
into this company because I want peopleto know that if you're not happy with
what you're doing and you need tofeel more passion in your life, find
something. And it doesn't matter whatbusiness you have in life, you will
have to do marketing for it.So that's why I've put together Resilient Stars
(11:22):
Marketing because I know when I started, I had a lot of expenses here
and there. I was paying forword press hosting and yost and I was
paying for a subscription for Calenly formy appointments and different subscriptions for AI tools
and so it was just expensive.Right. So I've found high as a
(11:46):
business as a business owner too becauseyou know, you know, you got
a lot going on. You're tryingto manage the business, and not only
are you trying to do that,you're trying to keep keep track of all
these various subscriptions. So that's alot to have on your place. So
how are you able to take allof this that you were juggling and kind
of consolidated so that it made yourtime more effective? Right? So I

found high level. Why I wasactually going through chemo, I was doing
research because I wanted to keep mybrain active, so I was doing some
research. I was learning AI toolsfrom Billy Jeans Marketing and I found High
Level through that and then I teamedup with Zenscapes and I'll break those down
(12:31):
for you. So High Level isthe software that I use for marketing,
and essentially what it does is bringall your website, your Google business,
your all your social media platforms,brings them all to one place where all
the tools are. I created mywebsite in just a few hours. Within
(12:54):
High Level software, you can havenumerous landing pages takes minutes to create it.
It saves so much time and moneyto avoid all those extra subscriptions and
to save time by utilizing automation andAI tools that you know, something that

used to take me two hours toplan my marketing takes me twenty minutes,
So it saves a ton of time. And they have an element in there
where I'm partnered up with zenscapes thathelps teach the tools within high Level.

Zenscapes is my onboarding team and theyhave an entire training system. So if
you don't have a business, youhave no idea what you want to do
in life, you just want todo something to create more income, they
have all the training tools that youneed to create your own marketing business,
or if you already have a business, they're going to teach you how to

market efficiently, saving your time andsaving you a lot of money because they
have all the kinks worked out.And so that's why I pair it up
with them to save me time andhelp my clients get the most results out
of their time with us. Well, that makes a lot of sense and
on, and I think that's brilliantbecause I think a lot of people who
get into marketing and you know,social media marketing or online marketing, we

don't we don't always have the conversationof the kind of marketing that those companies
need to do themselves. But thefact that you were able to figure that
out, like because you know,as a marketing company yourself, you have
to know how to best streamline theprocess so that you cannot lose it for
yourself and then also for your clients. I think that's one of the professions.
What are the few professions where theexact same things that you do for

your own brand, you will dofor other clients as well. So it's
like you don't have to reinvent thewhale because you're you're already doing it successfully.
So really, I absolutely love that. Now I want to kind of
talk a little about this because Ithink this is one of the things that
actually sets your marketing company apart fromother marketing companies. So, because you
know, marketing is so important,and I think everybody, like you mentioned,

every company needs to market their brand, but I think your company actually
provides an angle to this that Ithink is missing in the world. And
if people were to go to youfor this particular niche, it would actually
help their brand elevating. Let metell you, let me tell my audience
about what it's about. Okay,you guys, So, so what Beth
(15:33):
is doing and not only does shehave a marketing company, she has actually
found a way to incorporate health andwellness into her marketing philosophy. And for
all of you guys out there whoalready know is twenty twenty four headed to
twenty twenty five, health wellness,mental health, mental well being is now
trend is a trending topic, notjust amongst you know, small businesses,

but also amongst corporate organizations. Andso if your company can find a way
to be successful at the same timetouching on that health and wellness market,
you're going to have a lot morereach and a lot more influence in your
branding objectives by finding a marketing companythat could do both. And that's exactly
what Beth is doing. But Iwant Bet to tell you guys personally why

she was able to incorporate those thingsinto her company and how she's helping others
to do that. All right,that's my introduction, Okay, Beth go.
Yeah, So this is really awesomebecause I've teamed up with a company
called mian West Wellness and they Itstemmed from about twenty or twenty twenty five
(16:38):
years ago. There was a farmerout in Idaho. He was a third
generation potato farmer, and back inthe eighties, the term organic didn't exist.
People thought he was crazy, butthere was a patch of his farm
that he set aside to feed hisfamily because he was not going to let
(17:00):
them eat all the toxins that weresprayed on the food that farmers required to
have to be able to sell theirproducts. And so, you know,
he started early eighties trying to figureout a way to educate people and kind
of bring a little bit more awarenessto the issues that are going on with
(17:22):
our food chain, and in thatprocess, he came across a US manufacturer
that manufactured all their goods and servicesor all their goods right here in the
US, which was the perfect pairingfor him. So him and his team
travel all over the US giving educationalseminars about how we could be more proactive
(17:48):
with our healthcare because we tend tobe more reactive where something goes wrong,
we go to the doctor and weget medications, and there's a time and
place for medications. I think we'rejust a little bit over medicated, possibly,
but this is a process that theycould raise that awareness and provide the
(18:10):
resources to help sustain a healthier lifestylelong term where you wouldn't have to guess
what's in the products, you don'thave to guess what responsible manufacturing practices they
have. It's all in place.It's a guarantee. So and coming out
of chemo, I never want tobe ungrateful for what has happened to me,
(18:37):
and now that I have a cancerfree diagnosis, I want to keep
it that way. But I alwayshave to be mindful of the practices that
I participate in throughout my lifestyle,and if it's forefront on my mind,
I want it to be forefront oneverybody body's mind that I come across because
(19:02):
I want other people to be happyand healthy as well. So that's why
I wanted to pair all this together, because if you're not healthy, your
business is not going to survive.So it all comes to you, absolutely,
absolutely, and and that's really that'sreally the key fundamental right now and
thriving businesses and and even thriving brandsis being able to understand the impact that
(19:26):
that wellness and health has are notonly just individuals within the company, but
also as a company and its healthoverall. So the fact that you're able
to be able to educate your clientson that fundamental truth and then help them
to incorporate those same principles into theirbrand is absolutely phenomenal. And again that
(19:47):
is that I think that's what setsyour that's what sets resilience stars. Marketing
apart, I do only hear alot of companies talking about that unless they're
just unless they're a health and wellnesscompany, but not you don't hear you
don't hear a marketing any talking aboutthat. But I think that's where the
conversation really needs to shift to becausemarketing is a very stressful job. It's
a very stressful part of a job, especially as professionals, and so if

we're not talking about the health andwellness aspect of it, you know,
we're missing out huge and we're andwe're missing we're missing not just the point,
we're also missing the profit that thatcomes from understanding those dynamics. And
so thank you so much for notonly taking the time to build a company
to help others market themselves, butalso to help them to take care of
themselves overall within what RYM regards towant us to help, because that is

what's missing today and that's the spacethat you are feeling. So thank you

that you you did this as asingle mom, and I and I think

you know, it's like like Imean, just it just blows my mind
away that all these steps that yourthat your life has taken where you hear
you you got into the military,you know, diagnosed with cancer, you
came out, and then you cameout fighting as a single mom, determined
to make sure that she gave herchildren the best I mean, that is
a legacy. That was That's whatI was going for. Joseph. I'm

gonna say that you did you didit, you did, but but you
did it. You built the legacy. It was you. It was your
determination and your utter drive to neverquit. And it's absolutely inspiring. Now

Resilient Starts is a nonprofit organization thatis currently in the works of being created
for human trafficking survivors. And I'vedone a lot of research and pairing different

resources, putting things together. Wehave an accredited K through twelve school online,
we have mentoring, we have training, we have the Rory Ricord has
an amazing training program as well formarketing with blogging. We just put a

lot of different resources together. Andthe concept here is that human trafficking survivors
it might take them a little whileto feel comfortable integrating into society. So
we've created a way to get themeducation, job training, and mentorship all
online so that they can rebuild theirlives no matter how young or how old
(23:18):
they are. And so Resilient startsmarketing. It's not fully put together yet.
We do also take donations for thatto get things going there, and
that is thank you, thank youso much for doing that. Yeah,
I please do and we can wecan get the description of I mean,

I think what you're doing is phenomenal, especially in regards to the human trafficking
and that aspect of it, youknow, and that works, you know,
write in harmony with the Bully Avengers, and we think that we know
that, we know that you're asupport of the Bully Avengers and their initiative
to fight against human trafficking as wellas human lives violations against women and children
are the most vulnerable in our society, and so you're you're a public supporter

of that, and we appreciate that. So the fact that you're also starting
an organization that helps human trafficking victims, it just speaks to your character.
So definitely, please set us aPayPal into that so that we can figure
out how to support that initiative,because that is something that is desperately needed
today in our society. I agree. Yeah, We're we're saving more children

today than we ever have, whichis awesome, absolutely, and I think
the reason why is because people likeyou are brave enough to have these conversations
and to step up so that ourchildren can be so again, when you
turn the light on, then therighteous flee, so it's important to talk

about it. Heck, yeah,I love Oh my gosh, I love
that analogy. Oh I'm going tosteal that one. I love that analogy
so much exactly, keep shining thatlight. Oh man, I adore that.
Oh my goodness, that is sucha great analogy. That's gonna I'm
gonna keep that one in the recordbooks. That is phenomenal. Well,

the niche area that a lot ofpeople aren't tapping into, but that if
they did, they'd be a lotmore successful. So that's my final question
to you. Is this, afterall said and done, after everything that
you've been through, everything that you'vefought through as a mom, as a

woman, as an entrepreneur as asurvivor. Do you have any regrets?
Oh? Absolutely not. Now everythingin my life that's happened for me has
made me who I am today,So I wouldn't take any of it back.
And by the way that you justare are glowing and shining on the

screen, I mean you can youcan see the overwhelming peace and that you
have in your path, and itis noticeable and it's inspiring. So,
