my half Man half Marathon runner title. Um, I just got back from
a run. So if I sounda little tired on the podcast, that's

running and staying fit, and youknow, I find it kind of therapeutic

in a way. You get likethe runners high, because like I think

No, it doesn't necessarily happen ina half marathon. It usually just kind
of happens where like I run fora while, start to get tired,
and then all of a sudden justhave this period where I don't feel anything,

you know, zen mode, andI just don't feel like anything. It's
kind of it's really crazy, andit happened to this run. But then
usually right after it, I feellike complete shit because I start getting fielding

Day, and it just so happenedto line up with this Revolutionary War re
enact of it that her dad wasparticipating it. He's been doing this for

New Jersey. It was like theirState Battlefield Park, and hey, it's
just nice to be reminded that,you know, America's number one, Ain't

that right? Skuy? Hell yeah, brother. To be fair, the
actual fight there Americans consider a win, but technically a draw because they just
kept the land. It was veryweird though, and pretty cool as well.
They're shooting off cannons buskets like actualones, which is pretty dope.
And yeah, they were all dressedup and you know there's the redcoats.

Sorry, but where they liked theyactually have like cannonballs and like the little
balls they put in the muskets wherethey just dry firing him. They were
dry firing during the battle re enactit. But they did have probably for
the best. Well, they didhave like a section of the day where
they shot off like a real caddonball. It's just one, so it
was really cool. Yeah, that'swhat I was trying to figure out.
They did. They just they likepoint at a tree or something and take

out a tree with the cannonball.So like the field where the battle actually
happened, and the guy made surethat we knew it was like appropriate distance

an American soldier for the Revolutionary War. He looks ridiculous, and the Red
Coats just had such a better fashion. Well, I mean, you know,

mean, you're wearing blue. That'snot any better camouflage. Yeah, but
I don't know. I still letit up winning, right, I can't

argue with that, hector. Butlet's get this race. Hey, the
battle at the top was fucking awesome. This is so sweet. It absolutely
was Starr's back. Baby, let'sgo. It's been too long, yeah,
Malt as well, like those twohave been on a downward trend for
most of the season. Is reallygood seeing the back of the top both
Stary on Maletts, because they aretop marbles now. It's been more than

just this season for Starry, it'sbeen since like Marble League twenty twenty two.
They didn't look like themselves. Itwasn't them that was getting all these
gold medals. It was the restof the team, and here we are
kind of in the slump of thefirst seven races, and here we are
Electron Expressway backward. They got agold last year, and they going back
to back an Electron Expressway. Youlove to see it. As a galactic
fan, I just realized how ridiculousthis is. That's just be us.

Guy at hacker at first place,second place, third place, origins clad
is crazy. So this is justthe best race ever. I think that's
well, I can see why naGod did show up a road trip and
obviously Decker Father's Day, so heyenjoy that. Yeah, out of the

ironically putting aside all my biases andthe inevitable camera issues that will bring up
later. This might be my newfavorite race of Mobula, one of all
time, of all time. Really, I don't know. It might be.
I really love this track bad likeI think the tracks amazing. This
was prossaibly one of the best raceswe have because really everyone knows at this

point what I like to see ina race. I like to see really
intense fights for the lead and inthe rest of the pack as well.
Near the front. I like tosee close finishes. I'd like to see
back and forth. This race hadeverything I ever asked for. I don't
don't get me wrong, Hector.I think Electronic Expressway as a track is
like a fantastic top tier track.But honestly, I think the last year's

was better. I can understand somerecency buy says you just watched this one,
but I personally think the one lastyear we're with Orangin and Starry duking
it out for top two. Ithink that had a better fight than Starry
and Mallard. That's fair. Maybeif I watched it back I might change
my mind, but it was absolutelyone of the top races of all time.
I think like this track just leadsto great races. It does have
like pretty much a significant drop offfrom like the top two three teams too,

like later in the pack. Wesaw it last season with Starry in
Origin, Yes, and uh yeah, we saw with Mallard. I believe
Origin finished third with like still twoseconds behind or something. It was like
a ridiculous gap. Yeah, Butthen again, the thing with those gaps,
we saw it a lot on thisin this race where those gaps a
single mistake can really change that.So like we'd have Mallard was like a

second behind on the final thing,but that had been after coming off having
gone from two seconds back to undera second back to leading to half a
second ahead to right next to stary, back and forth all that time.
Like a single mistake. If theMarbles in the fight with you actually capitalize
on that can change so much onthis track because it's so fast. Yeah,
and I think the most common mistakeMarbles made was taking the outside line

on that airpin turn, especially ifthey went over the attenuator. Then your
momentum is just gone and you're justriding the wall, losing any and all
speed you had watching six seven marblespast you. That is where that is
where champions were made and championships werelost. It was that turn right there.
Yeah, I mean taking the outsideline wasn't really the worst option,
(08:31):
but going over the bumper. Yeah, basically just crashing into the wall and
then try to build up speed afterthat was the downfall of Mallard at the
end. Yeah. It was whatgot Arab at the first place. Early
all did the race where you knowthey took the inside line. A bunch
of Marbles jumped over and you know, they just took the lead. Like
it was really nice seeing all thepasses for the Marbles, like taking that

inside lade. It was so coolto see. Yeah, watching Malot on
that time was an absolute trick becauseMallard's yeah sure lost out on the race
win because of going over the attenuator, but getting up into second place that
was entirely Malard completely nailing that insideline when everyone else was like taking the
outside or crashing over it, likegoing back and forth. I'm doing really
well and not well enough on thattone was what made it so interesting to

watch, because it's clear that theones Marvels that have aced that before are
not immune to slipping up, andthat made it really exciting for me.
Another thing I want to point outMalar doing really well and I think Greg
Woods actually pointed this out too.About the headway through the race, Mallard
had a fantastic Sector three going throughthe electron shells and then trying to maneuver
their way through that little zigzag.They always did a really good job of

that and they almost always gained onStorry or if not passing Story in that
sector right before the finish line.But then they'd always lose it in the
initial part of the first sector.Since you mentioned gaining on Starry there like
the last lap, Mallard could Ifeel like, have made another last ditch
attempt to catch Starry at the lineif they'd nailed that third sector like the

had in pretty much every lap before. But just one slight slip up there
on that last lap was what costan extra chance at challenging. But yeah,
Malard, we saw this in Qin the qualifiers, both Q one
and Q two. Mallard was justamazing at navigating that section the entire time,
nearly. Yeah. The coolest oneI think was on lap nine.

Oh yeah, yeah. We weretalking about it during the Qualifiers episode which
laid do you rod like one,two, three or four go for the
inside out? Mallard chose lead five. It was riding the bumper and then
because of the like kind of rampon the bumper at the end, Mallard
just completely skipped the estherd and gotfastest lap and kept it until the end

of the race. By that pointit was awesome. It shattered fastest lap
two. That was the first Ithink only maybe the only sub twenty five
I did see a couple of otherMarbles like do that, but they were
midpack or like further packs, sothey were bumping in all of the people.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Idefinitely would have thought that the best
line on that tne would be takingthe fought inside because it's the shortest track
around, which is what the That'swhat I was saying on But yeah,

I wouldn't have thoughts about being ableto skip that s tone completely until seeing
it done because that saves so muchtime. We saw orangein last year do
it um. I think they didit a couple of times, and that's
how they sling. I want thatwas one of the coolest passes of that
season with them sling shotting past Starry. Yeah. And then one of the
coolest passes of this season was Mallarddoing the same Yeah cutting, Yeah,

they cut like it probably a secondlead into a second, like maybe a
second or half a second lead forthemselves. They that turn, if done
perfectly, it's just an absolute gamechange. Yer. Did Storry win this
last year? Yeah, Storry wentback to back. This is the first
time you've ever seen a Marble winthe same track twice. I'm pissed.
I didn't pick Starry either. Theymean they went they granted they were pole

last year and they were six thisyear. Yeah, but Sky, we
need to keep it mind that theyall needed to go up five spots get
first place. Oh true, Yeah, fucked up? We really and I
picked actually not a very good marblefor predictions. So thank god. Maybe

long way, I got the bestpick this weekend because I didn't completely jinx

what happened to Royal at all.Like about the time Mallot started actually challenging
start around lap eight nine, Royalall of a sudden just took a massive
tanking and went all the way toseventh. And we don't really know how
that happened. Maybe I just didn'tlook hard enough, but I didn't really
see it either. Yeah, theyjust magically disappeared and went to seventh,
and I'm kind of curious as towhat happened. And then finally, there

were several times where they just focusedon Frost, Glimmer or Schemmer, I
can't remember which one was racing andBolt they like focused on those three marbles
specifically, and they did it likefour Beauty was there, but Misty was
Maybe Misty was there, but theywere focusing on the three marbles themselves at
that thirty second. I just wantto point that out because that really annoyed
me. All right, My said, yep, So first thing, yeah,

not seeing Orange and and Royal,it's kind of it's annoying, but
it was kind of understandable because therewas a massive fight going on at the
front. So yeah, we hadthe focus on Starry and Mallard. But
first half of the race, whatthe hell were they doing? There was
so much of a really cool leadfight for a massive fight for second place.
We saw none of it because theywere lingering on shots at the back
of the pack. We got nothing. And I'm really frustrated because the second

half was with flaws really good.Yeah that's bgbt CGS. I am going
to perfect my speed talking through thissegment. I don't know why they showed
Pinky Panther so much. It wasannoying. Beat me shout out the from
me like eighteen seconds behind. Iwas just like, where the hell yea

this guy going a real clutter whateverfrom GP one Yeah, yeah for real?
As I really got shout out StarryOrigin, Clutter Club, Blue Eye
for All moving up was a chaoskind of really snuck in there. We
didn't see much of it them atall this Yeah, you could have told
me that they didn't do a racethis week, but you know times but

hey, congrats stop five, let'sgo. Oh yeah, and Misty moving
down seven spots. I am alittle bit worried about. Uh, you
know, the Hazers are only sixpoints in first between first a second,
so a little bit worried. Butuh yeah, Speeders didn't do too great
this race either though, So Yeah, Honestly, one of the biggest things
I liked about this race in termsof its place in the entire season is

that we finally got a chance tosee more teams get podiums. It wasn't
just as top heavy heavy. Imean, sure, we've had the arrangees
a few times, but these arethe first podium for Team Galactic in the
Green Ducks all season. It's takena seven eight sorry races to get there
and these are these are marbular onestaples. Yeah, these are the only
two marbles that have finished top tenindividual in every season. Yeah, yeah,

for sure. The point out theyaren't doing like the race standings with
like the colors of like the teamsthat are eliminated. At this point,
everybody below the Green Ducks are mathematicallyeliminated from where title. So maybe bib

like and even the Green Ducks,I think Team Galactics, like two

actually said in the mailbag. SoAuthworm's opinion on this race overall is kind
of weird. The actual race wasgreat, with the back and forth fight
of the leads, with the royalmisty face into the midpack bolt making an

excellent we don't talk about those guysthinking about that being the mas source of
comedy is always nice yep. Onthe other hand, Authorne thinks the course
was kind of shit. Altone feelslike the quad split could have been used
better if marbles didn't just run intoa wall ninety five percent of the time.
However, Althworm's main concern was thesplit before the accelerator, the main
problem being that marbles go over thesplit way too often and it's not exciting.
There's a lot more in that,including a lot of camera time talk,
which we've already covered, but I'mgoing to say I disagree with both

of those takes. The quod splitis used perfectly, and that means that
split there, it's a brilliant technicalmoment which led to the fight we had
being as amazing as it was.So sorry, Athworm, horrible takes.

I think like this track just leadsto great races. It does have
like pretty much a significant drop offfrom like the top two three teams too,

Origin, Yes, and uh yeah, we saw with Mallard. I believe
Origin finished third with like still twoseconds behind or something. It was like

single mistake can really change that.So like we'd have Mallard was like a

Like a single mistake. If theMarbles in the fight with you actually capitalize

and I think the most common mistakeMarbles made was taking the outside line

on that airpin turn, especially ifthey went over the attenuator. Then your
momentum is just gone and you're justriding the wall, losing any and all

but going over the bumper. Yeah, basically just crashing into the wall and
then try to build up speed afterthat was the downfall of Mallard at the

it was really nice seeing all thepasses for the Marbles, like taking that

that time was an absolute trick becauseMallard's yeah sure lost out on the race

well and not well enough on thattone was what made it so interesting to

watch, because it's clear that theones Marvels that have aced that before are
not immune to slipping up, andthat made it really exciting for me.
Another thing I want to point outMalar doing really well and I think Greg
Woods actually pointed this out too.About the headway through the race, Mallard
had a fantastic Sector three going throughthe electron shells and then trying to maneuver
their way through that little zigzag.They always did a really good job of

that and they almost always gained onStorry or if not passing Story in that
sector right before the finish line.But then they'd always lose it in the
initial part of the first sector.Since you mentioned gaining on Starry there like
the last lap, Mallard could Ifeel like, have made another last ditch

had in pretty much every lap before. But just one slight slip up there

Malard, we saw this in Qin the qualifiers, both Q one
