Speaker 1 (00:00):
We got a question for American mama's. Dear mama's, what

(00:02):
do you love the most about Charlie Kirk and Erica
Kirk's relationship.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Well, let's ask our American mama's.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Mama, and Jodie is now our American Mama's Terry Netteville
and Kimberly Burlison. Okay, So we've seen a lot of
Charlie Kirk stories, we've seen a lot of Erica Kirk

(00:31):
coming out into the public really for the first time
after his assassination. But I think you also get a
glimpse of what it's like for them as a couple.
So what is it that you guys think is so
special about what's so special about their relationship?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
You know one thing that stood out to me, there's
like a real that came out whereas Charlie Kirk and
he's got his toddler sitting on a table in a
restaurant with him, and he's telling his toddler, how has
he and his mom met their love story? You know,
this is where I met your mom and I told
her I have plenty of friends. I want to date you.
It's just the cutest thing. And then he says and

(01:08):
then you came along and so to me. I then asked,
I was talking to my family, and I was like,
do you know how Like, we have no idea how
Mike's parents met. Oh, we're talking to my niece's boyfriend.
I said, how did your parents meet? Has no idea
how his parents met. And one thing I thought was
telling a love story. Telling your children your love story

(01:30):
is crucial. It's important to share stories with your kids.
Our parents did. We knew their whole love story. We
knew every friend they had in high school. We knew
that they parked on the on the uncool side of
Dairy Queen while the cool kids were on the other side,
because the cool kids would come over to the uncooles.
Like all these stories kind of shaped the way we
wanted to be.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
Wow. You know, if you think about it, this is
before any kind of you know, social media or even phones.
You know, we didn't have laptops to give the kids
in the back of the car while we're traveling. It
was that time usually when we were on a road trip. Yeah,
and we would make them retell their story. You know,

(02:09):
there's nothing else to keep us occupied.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
But their story true.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
And that was a beautiful time, because we not only
like Kimberly just said, not only did we know their
love story about heart, but we also knew all of
the people they were friends with, and they had their yearbooks.
They went to Woodlawn and Streetport and so we knew
their stories too. So living in Streetport, I've gotten to
know some of these people and they are amazed at

(02:36):
what I know about them from their high school days
because our parents talked about that.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
You know what this It just reminded me. Our parents
had a Sunday school party. You know, they had a
large First Methodist church, the Questers, and one of the
parties they had everybody bring their wedding album to the party.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
And so all of these couples brought.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Their wedding album.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
So they're all sharing their love story at this party,
and I.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Thought, what a yeah, so good.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I feel like Charlie and Erica are basically showing young
couples today, even older couples, how to live your life,
how to include your family, how to talk about things
even when they's too young to think that they would
care about your love story. That little girl forever has
that video footage of her dad sharing her mother's and

(03:22):
father's love story.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Not only that, but I don't know if you've seen
this on the reels, there's a video that she put out.
And every day she would say, what is your word
for the people today?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
What are your words of wisdom?

Speaker 4 (03:34):
And he would say, and I actually wrote them down
because I was so impressed. But he would say, he'd
look up and he go, power shows the man. You
want to find out a lot about somebody, give them
a bunch of power.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Power shows the man wow.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
And it would you know, click to the next day,
or you know, he'd be walking down the street. She'd say, Charlie,
what's your words of wisdom for today? And he'd say,
wise man loves to be corrected. Anyone who wants to
replace error with truth is wise.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
And that's biblical. That's one of the other guess about that.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
He was so he was such a philosopher. He loved
he was he was a student of philosophers. He loved Socrates, Plato,
all the big guys. And you could hear this come
out and he would say things like to taste.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Your words before you spit them out, you know, just
little things like that.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
And I thought, what, that's another thing that her their
children have are these little nuggets that she meant for
the world, but now they can really take them in
and you know, swallow them.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I do. I do like that.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
And you get the feeling that Erica's I mean, obviously
we don't know her, but you get the feeling that
she's gonna want one of her priorities, So she's gonna
want her kids to know who their dad is.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Well, they will, they will.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
I you know, in that moment when he's telling the
love story and at the end he's talking to Gigi
and he says, and that's where your story begins, because
we all have that, you know. And I just think
that these children I kind of think about remember Steve
Irwin the crocodile or whatever. I think about those kids
and how they've represented their father so well in life,

(05:09):
because they've had thousands upon thousands of people tell them
how their father influenced them. And I feel like the
same thing will happen.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
For these babies. Sorry, So I feel like that there's going.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
To be just you know, they're going to grow up
in a world that everyone revers their father, and I
just have a feeling they're going to live.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Up to that It's going to be very very interesting
to see. If you like to ask for American Mama
