Speaker 1 (00:00):
We got a question for American mama's. Dear mama's, what
(00:02):
did you think of Erica Kirk's speech last week?
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Well, let's ask our America and mama a mad.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
And Jini is now our American mama Terry Netderville. So,
Erica Kirk gave a speech on Friday night from the
Turning Point USA headquarters, from where Charlie would sit and
do his Charlie Kirk podcast and his radio show and
his television show on the Salem News Channel.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Did you watch, Oh my gosh, yes, I think all
of America watched this.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
It was a huge audience.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Well, I think her strength in the wake of his
death was mesmerizing. I think we all didn't know what
to expect, because you see, when he was assassinated, I
think a lot of us for two days were numb.
We were didn't know what to do. Some a lot
of us just stayed on the phone, scrolling, trying to
(01:08):
get information and trying to make sense of something that's
so senseless.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
So, when we got word that his wife, Erica was
going to speak to the nation two days later, right,
everybody was like, oh, you know, sending out messages, you know,
to yeah, turn on the news. You know she's speaking,
and to see her get up there. You're so used
to seeing her smiling, and you know, you haven't really
(01:33):
seen this steely, strong woman. And some people mistook that.
And I'll tell you. She gets up there and she's
thanking everybody for trying to help save her husband. She's
thanking the Vance family right so much for how they
honored her husband.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Which I mean the Vice President of the United States
flying Air Force too out to fly Charlie Kirk's body home.
And then Usha Vance holding her hand as she's first
seen holding. By the way, did you see that when
she was in the the limousine and she held the
crossouts the necklace that was Charlie's necklace that she gave
to him, and he wore that every day after she
(02:09):
gave it to him. And so that's what that was,
that cross that she was holding out she was waving
to people, but Usha Vance was inside that holding her hand.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yeah, we got to see a side of the Vances
that are they are our next first couple for sure.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
I think you're right.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
And then she thanked the president and told the President
in front of the whole world how much Charlie loved him,
and she got very choked up. But then there was
this moment where there was a change in her gaze,
there was a change in her being that we all
kind of like drew into, like whoa. And that's when
she was speaking to not only all of us, saying,
this mission will move forward, it will be tremendous, and
(02:46):
I will see to it. And she was promising Charlie,
she was looking up at the heavens and promising her baby,
her Charlie right. And then there was then at one
point her eyes got very steely, and she was talking
to the evil doers and she said, more than you know,
other than if you thought my husband's mission was powerful before,
you have no idea what you've unleashed. And then she
(03:08):
went on to say, the cries of this widow will
echo around the world like a battle cry. And when
she said that, she had a catch in her throat
that we all felt, and I thought, my gosh, this
is a woman who understands the importance of continuing the
legacy of her husband, who is beloved by so many.
(03:29):
And what you've seen since that, it's almost like we
it's almost like she gave us permission to stop grieving
in the way that we were grieving, and that use
that grief, use that.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
In a more productive word.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yes, like take it on. And now you've seen this
great awakening. You're seeing people online coming out talking about
you know, I haven't I walked away from God. Ten
years ago, I picked up my first Bible. You're seeing
football teams who were not allowed to prey on the
field four years ago. They're coming together before the game
(04:02):
from one end of the field to the other end,
taking off their helmets, kneeling in prayer. They have the
you know, the referees around them. Everybody is praying. Prayer
is back, and she's not wrong. There are prayer warriors
that are coming online saying, I hid behind the buzzwords.
You know, the universe tells you I am no longer going.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
To do that.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Charlie has given me permission. And those that tried to
slander him and to fame his name. You have people
on the left that are coming out saying I want
no part of this. I want no part of this.
Because we all feel it, Stephen and Lewis, we all
feel the Holy Spirit is washing over this nation at
a speed with which we have never seen before. And
(04:47):
to have this woman, to have this esther rise up
and say, I'll tell you what, this will be bigger
than anything they've ever seen before.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
I loved the phrase in there and she said make
Heaven crowded.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Ah. Yes.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
And that's one of the things I think people miss
is that that was probably the central job of Charlie Kirk.
It wasn't to make conservatives. It was to make people saved,
to get them to accept the sacrifice that Jesus has
already made for them. That was his biggest mission, and
(05:25):
the other stuff kind of came with it. Erica Kirk
was very impressive. We'll see what she does now as
the new head, CEO and president of Turning Point. If
