Speaker 1 (00:00):
We got a question for American mama's. Dear mama's, what
do you think about Greg Guttfeld going on Jimmy Fallon tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Well, let's ask our American mama's.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
And Jordius now our American mama Terry Neederville. So Greg Guttfeld,
the king of conservative late night, is going on to
Jimmy Fallon's show, the Tonight Show over on NBC, the
historic legendary Tonight Show, dating all the way back to
actually Jack Parr back in the day, Steve Allen as well.
So in recent years Late Night has become very leftist.

(00:44):
Even Jimmy Fallon's show has been a leftist show. You
got Greg Guttfeld starting to beat them in the ratings,
and now just after Stephen Colbert has taken off the
air exactly, Greg Guttfeld's going on Jimmy Fallon.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
What do you think about all this?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Well, first and foremost, I think this is NBC's attempt
to broaden their audience after the firing of Cobert. I
mean that seems pretty obvious to me. But this, this crossover,
h this is happening Thursday Night with these two late
Night titans from complete opposite sides of the political isle
is remarkable in today's comments.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
You know, one of the last politicians of any stripe
that Jimmy Fallon had on his show was Donald Trump,
yes back in twenty sixteen, and he ruffled Donald Trump's
hair and people then wanted to set Jimmy Fallon's hair
on fire.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
See that's what happened. Jimmy Fallon, I will say, out
of all the late night comedian hosts, he was the
one that I would actually tune into because he wasn't political.
He wouldn't go there. He would do kind of like
the Johnny Carson thing at first, not as good as
Johnny Carson, but you knew he lean left, but he
kind of was fair about it. He was the only
one that had Trump on and he did the tussling

(01:55):
of the hair, you know, because make it fun. And
if we know one thing Trump can make fun of himself.
He really is great about that. But the left said,
I mean, how dare you humanize him? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Exactly, Donald Trump is a human, that's right.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
So they were furious because it made Trump look good.
So what happened after that was Jimmy Fallon fell in
line with Cobert and Jimmy Kimmel and began bashing Trump,
bashing those of us who voted for him, So then
you lose that. And the thing that I loved about
Fallin he just seems like a genuinely kind soul.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
And a fanboy.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah, like he's That's one of things I like about
him is that basically everybody that comes on his show
he's a So it's like you're a fan by proxy,
Like if you could interview, you know, Jerry Seinfeld, if
you could interview Lady Gaga, how would you do it?

Speaker 4 (02:48):
And it's kind of like Jimmy Fallon. He gets to
play games at genuine and I do think his writers.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Are are leftists, more leftist than he is. Is that
a fair or am I just? No?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
I think you're right. But also we all know that
he is left leaning. Yeah, and he probably vote only
votes Democrat for presidents and everything, and I'm fine with that.
I don't care who you vote for. That's fine. But
when you only have kind of like the view in
the last from January to July, they only had they
had one hundred and three left leaning guests in zero conservative,

(03:18):
and when you.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yeah, and no elected concern right, right?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Well, and if you go back further. I remember when
Denise and I would talk about how the left leaning
shows like The View and the Tonight shows they would
have they would have leaders on there. But their questioning
style was very different with the Obamas than it was
with Mike. I mean with McCain or Sarah Palin and
all of them. It was like very aggressive with the concern.

(03:46):
So you kind of knew that they were trying to
formulate this narrative.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Right. They'd ask, you know, Barack Obama, how good.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Are you would?

Speaker 3 (03:53):
How was date night? How what do y'all do for
date night? And then they wanted to know that they
wanted to ask McCain about abortion, right, you know that kind
of thing exactly.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
But here's the other thing.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
So roland Stone and I think this is why there's
like a like a little brotherhood between Greg and Jimmy.
About a year ago, I don't know if y'all remember this,
but roland Stone wrote a scathing interview saying that Jimmy
found anonymous sources told them, you know how I feel
about anonymous sources. Can stand that because you can make

(04:22):
up anything and say anonymously anyway. They said he had
a toxic work environment. Well, that came out. People were
trying to cancel him, and they were trying to what
Greg said, Ellen degenerous him. And so Jimmy came out
and he apologized publicly. I want to apologize to my
staff if you felt unsafe or if I did anything. Well,

(04:44):
of all people, Greg Guttfield was the Gutfeld was the
only one out of all the late night show hosts
that god on his show and defended him. He could
he could have kicked the horse when the horse, sure,
I mean he could have. This could have been his moment.
But instead he said, do not apologize, do not give

(05:04):
into do not apologize to these anonymous sources. You're better
than that. He went on to say what a genuine
hearted person he was and he actually knows humor. And
I think we all kind of gather that from Jimmy Fallon.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Yeah don't. I don't see Jimmy as a toxic person.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
I doubt, yeah, in any kind of there's some comedians
they're funny and you're like, you know, I could see
behind the scenes, maybe they are toxic. Jimmy Fallon is
not one of those people.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
And also I think that he should have gone in
the early early days. He did not want to go political.
He didn't his staff, did they management. Now I wonder
if he's saying, told y'all, yeah, told you.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Well, he just signed a new contract through twenty twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Well, I think having Greg on on Thursday night is
really going to do something special. I think, I hope.
