Speaker 1 (00:00):
We got a question for American mamas. Dear mamas, what
(00:01):
do you think about Jimmy Kimmel coming back on air? Well,
let's ask American mama's.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Mama Mama.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
And joining us now.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Our American mama's Terry Nuteville and Kimberly Burlason. So ABC
suspended Jimmy Kimmel for about a week after he alluded
to the idea that the killer of Charlie Kirk was
a maga Republican and that, of course not being true.
His family was, but the guy certainly was not. He
was a transgender anti fascist. So you've got Jimmy Kimmel
(00:42):
comes off air, he comes back on, big applause. Everybody's
very happy about Jimmy Kimmel being back on How are
y'all feeling about Jimmy Kimmel being back on air?
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Well, first of all, I don't care about Jimmy Kimmel.
He's only got about one hundred and twenty six thousand
people that watch this show anyway, So I thought he
was off the air a long time go, So I'm not.
It's like whatever. There's a part of me, though, that
feels like this was all on purpose. I feel like
it was like they weren't really pulling him off. I
feel like it was like just a way to take
(01:13):
some focus off of Charlie Kirk. And then all along
they were going to bring them back because they need
his ratings to go up, and maybe there was like
a surgeon ratings, but it'll it'll go back down. He'll
he'll be well.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
The ratings have gone down. He's he's a loser. You know,
he's a loser. And that time time slot, you know,
this is the thing. We grew up in a time
when Johnny Carson, David Letterman, Jay Leno, they were true
comedian late night host that would their job was to
make you laugh, entertain you before you went to bed.
(01:47):
They had they would have celebrities on there that they could,
you know, promote their shows or their books or whatever,
and so you look forward to it. I remember my
grandmother loved Johnny Carson. And then something happened, I don't
know it. After it was after nine to eleven. It
was when we started realizing that there was a division.
During the Obama years, things shifted, especially for Jimmy Kimmel.
(02:10):
Instead of being a jovial, lighthearted guy, he became almost sinister,
and it was only political punditory stuff that went to
the left. You know, all he did was shame the right.
All he did was try to make Trump or anybody
else look terrible and a terrible light. So I think
that his numbers were down. He should have been let
(02:32):
go a long time ago. But here's what's interesting. So
that happens. You know, Bob Iger is the ABC head
and he's friends with all the celebrities. They all go
on his yacht. Well, he got so much heat for
letting go of Jimmy. Here's the interesting part. You have
Sinclair in Next Star. These are like little division, yeah,
felias that have said we're not putting him back on
(02:54):
the air because they're listening to the people. You have
the Hollywood type that were really given heat to Bob Iger,
and he just kind of gave in. But I love
it because his ratings, maybe they popped up for a
day or two, they're going to plummet again. And he's
they've said he's losing or he and who was it, Cobert,
(03:14):
Steven Colbert, Yeah, forty million dollars per year. He lost
that for the company. So let's see what happens when
Jimmy Kimmel's numbers stay down, he loses money. Will Bob
Iger be able to stand firm with his decision?
Speaker 2 (03:28):
You know, Jimmy Kimmel. It kind of reminds me of
this Hollywood bubble that exists. It's not sustainable. These people
are in this in this world of make believe and
they don't understand what the pulse of the entire country is,
the whole world is. And I think Charlie Kirk was
an example of that. I think that when the Memorial
service happened, I really believe that that was the first
(03:50):
indication to this bubble and to people on the left
that wait, this is a movement, This is much bigger
than I thought it was. I really believe that it
was a wake up call for them. I don't think
that Jimmy Kimmel's going to stay on because I agree
with you, it's just it's not going to happen.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
This is not entertaining.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
And I also think that it could be like these
these actors need a place to plug their movies. They
don't want to see something happen to another late night
talk shows because the second one, because this is where
their territory is yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yeah, And Hollywood's had a hard time promoting.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Their movies, right, yeah, anywhere, right.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
That's been a challenge for them.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
But what's been really revealing is that they tried to compare,
the left tried to compare him being suspended to Charlie's death.
So our eyes have been opened in a way that
they have not been opened before because we are seeing
the hypocrisy. And when they were talking about the SEC,
(04:48):
you know, getting involved and the government trying to no,
they have forgotten. We're not stupid. They did this. They
got owned taken off, they got Fox News like a
network of Fox taken off. And it was their Congress
on the left that actually went to the s pushed
to it and pushed them out. And here they are griping
and complaining and we did. Trump had nothing to do
(05:09):
with it.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
This week, YouTube's come out and they've admitted that the
Biden administration was putting on unacceptable amounts of pressure onto
YouTube to can conservatives, including the American Mamas and American
Ground Radio. We were absolutely shadow band and then we
were almost kicked off of YouTube. We stopped posting videos
to YouTube because we had posted one more video we
would have had our entire account canceled. They came out
(05:32):
and admitted that this week that was stuff that's going
on during the Biden administration, and the left seem fine
with that.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, do they forget? I mean, what is this? But
the thing is, we have proof, we have video proof,
we have you know, that was been reported by those
at YouTube. So now how do they continue to feel
like they have the authority to tell us anything?
Speaker 1 (05:51):
If you like descar American Mamas a question, go to
our website American ground Radio dot com slash mamas and
click on the ask The Mama's button turned out of Ville.
