Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, we got a question for American Mama's. Dear Mama's.
Did you see Chris Pratt and Bill Maher talking about
Chris Pratt's wife's cousin r FK. Junior.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Well, let's ask American mama's.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Alma Mama, she said.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
In joining us now are American Mama's tern Ediville and
Kimberly Burlason. So Chris Pratt went on Bill Mahreer Bill Maher.
In addition to his HBO show, he also does a
podcast where he just kind of sits. He sits and
gets high and he has a guests that come on
and talk to him while he's high, and sometimes they're
drunk and sometimes they're loaded or whatever. But Chris Pratt
(00:46):
came on. I don't think Chris Pratt was drinking on
that episode, not that I recall so either.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
I think he had a cigar.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
A cigar. Okay, all right, So Chris Pratt's talking about
his wife's cousin, who is.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Our fkjun I love what Chris had to say. He
was just talking about politics and how it breeds enemies,
but blind hatred is worse, and he was talking about
the hate that people have towards RFK Junior just because
he's part of a Trump administration. He's like, here, he is,
he's doing some good things. Why not recognize the good
(01:19):
things he's doing instead of like immediately pooing it because
it's from someone that's from the Trump administration.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
That's the thing about that I love about Chris Pratt.
He's so brave. He has to be careful. We all
know this, we saw it. I don't know if it
was a Kid's Choice Award, Nickelodeon's. It was sometime that
a few years back that Chris Pratt got out there
and he did something that they do not do in Hollywood,
and he thanked God, Praise God, and gave a speech
to the kids to count on God, look to God.
(01:46):
And it was sadly, that's something that's a brave thing
to do. It's a very brave thing to do in Hollywood.
So I've always kind of looked at him as somebody
who's going to shoot it straight. But he also has
really good comedic time and he's one of those people
that you can rely on to an awkward situation. I'm
sure he has this with his fellow actors when they
(02:07):
get into any kind of struggle with political stuff, the
attention of any sort. I feel like that he's the
kind that is able to use humor and kind of
break that through humor, and people are still love him
because he's humorous. People like that can get away with
anything to me, and he's he wouldn't probably call himself
(02:27):
a comedian, but comedians are brilliant. They're able to see
past everything.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Yeah, he's probably more comic than he.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Is hilarious, and he's got an irreverent humor that I appreciate.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Y'all know.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
I love that, so I love it. But anyway, when
he was talking about Bobby Kennedy Jr. He was saying,
I think mar was basically saying that, how do you
deal with that? Because you know people?
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Right, because Chris Pratt's married to Captain Schwarzenegger. Her mother
is their cousins.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, yeah, and they're on opposite sides. Yes, she has
TDS because she hates Trump. It's very obvious that she does,
and so Chris has to kind of toe the line.
He's very much somebody that's he's saying, why would we
diminish something that Robert Kennedy Junior is doing? Just because
of the political climate. Let's get these toxins out of
(03:18):
the food. No matter what side of the political aisle
you land on, don't we all think that's a good thing, right,
Like he wants to get past.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
That, and then he kind of makes a joke.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
He does.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Yeah, he's like, I'm gonna feed my kid chlorox because
you know you don't want me to, because you're with a.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Brilliant In fact, I thought he could run for office.
He could.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
I like his honesty, I like him being real, and
he basically talking about the blind hate. The blind hate
among these people is made have made them psychos. They're
no psychos. They don't make any sense. Terry and I
have a friend that's always post just posting about this
particular thing, and somebody that votes just like her commented, well,
he is doing a few things that are good. Her
(03:56):
response was, yes, but he is not authorized for this.
He is not but he does not have the credentials.
It's like whatever they can come up with.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
That's one of the things that's annoying to me about
the instinct on the left is appeal to authority. Because
you know, I know a lot of people with college
degrees and doctorates and things like that, they really aren't smart, right,
I know that seems odd, like, well, I'm a doctor,
they've got to be smart. Well, they're kind of idiots.
So this whole appeal to authority is something that I've
(04:28):
never really Yes, there are people who know things more
about something than I do, absolutely, and I understand taking
knowledge from that, but simply saying because someone doesn't have
the right credentials behind their names, they don't know what
they're talking about, or if they do have the right
credentials behind their names, that they do necessarily know what
they're talking about. It's a logical fallacy. It's called appeal
to authority, and the left falls into it all the time.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
And the bottom line is, if you know anything about
Robert Kennedy Junior, this has been his life's mission still study.
He has done this, and he's been hated by the
left and the right. The other thing that I appreciate
about Pratt when he was talking to Bill Maher was
that that he recognizes that Robert F. Kennedy Junior is
family him now, yes, as is Catherine's mother. He's got
two sides that are on he has two sides of
(05:09):
the family that are completely polar opposites politically, well maybe
not even total polar, but their opposites. And yet he's
he found a way to say, but look, when when
I'm talking to him, I don't say, hey, let's get
let's talk about this that you're doing in Washington. He said,
we're usually playing you know, I don't know he's a poker,
or we're usually playing games or Minecraft or something like that.
(05:31):
He said, we're just being family. So you got a
guy that's saying, yeah, I may not agree with everything,
but there's some things I love that he's doing, but
at the end of the day, he's family. So I'm
gonna make sure that because we are family now, that
there that love is the ultimate winner of this thing.
I'm not gonna hate on him because I don't like
some of his policies typical conservative.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
And whichwas neat was Bill Maher actually went, yeah, that
makes sense. Yep, fond if you like deskar America Mama
