Speaker 4 (01:08):
We have a fun day today. We're gonna be talking
about the Tasted Chino and if any of you been
to Chino recently, there's so many restaurants. They're really really
fine restaurants. I would say they're probably one of the
leaders in an empire of having probably the best restaurants around.
They're really really good.
Speaker 7 (01:23):
I think it diverse choices, Oh.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yeah, definitely definitely Chino, Chino Hills of telling you to
really wonderful. And we have some of the special guests
ones we're calling in and in fact, our guest now
here is James Olvera. He is the co chair of
the Taste of Chino and welcome to Let's Sign Out sho.
Speaker 8 (01:40):
Thank you for having me on.
Speaker 9 (01:41):
Alan it's a pleasure to be here to talk to
you about this great event we have coming up, just
highlighting local restaurants in the Chino Valley area.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Right, it's been going on for many years.
Speaker 9 (01:50):
Yeah, this will probably be the twenty third year we've
been doing it in the you know area.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
Wow, that's amazing. Is he back from traveling? We got
a lot Vegas and ten days are gonna be going
to ten days of eating in Vegas.
Speaker 7 (02:03):
Do you wiz ten days are working in Vegas?
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Oh yeah, but I'm you'll be eating, you'll be in nighttime.
But Vegas, and we got all kinds of traveling and.
Speaker 7 (02:14):
Do But yeah, I'm gonna be a bearhon traveler till
the end of July. There's no no end in sight.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
A lot of eating out, that's for sure. So way
a lot of good stuff going on. Let's get into
the taste of Chino now again, it's been going on
for what you said, twenty three years.
Speaker 8 (02:29):
Yeah, that's that's correct.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
And the whole purpose is to show some of your
great restaurants there and people can taste a lot of
different foods here.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Yeah, that's part of it.
Speaker 9 (02:37):
It's also just to really support local businesses or local
restaurants in the area, especially coming out of COVID. I
know a lot of restaurants were struggling during that time period,
and this event has really, I think helped highlight some
of these new restaurants because we've had some new ones
come to the area and we want to highlight them,
support them and help them grow, help their business grow.
Speaker 7 (02:58):
I'm excited. I can't wait. Actually, I mean, we used
to go to Chino all the time, you know, in
Chino Hills, and then our friends moved away, so we
haven't been going there that often, so maybe I discovered
some new places.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Well, my favorite restaurant is Owen's Pisto. That's one of
my favorites of all time. And you have a lot
of great restaurants here, so.
Speaker 7 (03:15):
Yeah, So do you have a lineup that you can
introduce us to and then let us know who's going
to be participating at growing right.
Speaker 9 (03:23):
Yeah, So far we have about fifteen restaurants registered where
we still have a couple others that we're talking to
and waiting out to paperwork, but we're excited. So some
of the restaurants we have, we have Silver Lake Ramen.
They just opened up, I believe last year, so this
will be the second time having them there. We have
Raw Sushi. They're also a new restaurant. Yeah, they're great
(03:44):
sushi places. They are new to the Chino area.
Speaker 8 (03:46):
We have a new I'm sorry.
Speaker 9 (03:50):
We have a new butchery that just opened up, Bronx Butchery.
They have really quality meats in there and they also
have some other items in there. Kind of got a
charcuitery set up, so so to speak. We have Amelia's
which is another new newer restaurant to the area. We
have Calavaras the Mexican restaurant. They're a really unique place.
(04:12):
If you've ever come there, it's kind of day the
dial Marto's theme. Ye, if you go for if you
go for Siagon to Mile or a birthday, it's a
really unique experience.
Speaker 8 (04:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (04:24):
We have Chaos Bubble or Bubble Shop. Other new another
new restaurant in the area.
Speaker 10 (04:28):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (04:28):
We have Vita.
Speaker 9 (04:30):
They're not in Cheine area. They're a little outside, but
they're uh coming. They're part of the chamber, so we're
supporting them. They're actually i think believe in kind of
the border of Pomona and what kind of food. So
it's an Italian it's an Italian restaurant.
Speaker 8 (04:42):
So it's really nice.
Speaker 9 (04:42):
It's it's uh right off there, right off the seventy
one where the shiloh N used to be. It's a
hotel and then they opened up there on top and
it's a really nice restaurant.
Speaker 8 (04:52):
I've had the pleasure of going there myself.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Cool.
Speaker 9 (04:54):
And then we got Seven Leaves everyone. I think a
lot of people from our Seven leg t shop.
Speaker 8 (04:59):
We have Pnataro. They're kind of a stable for.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
A tear food around forever. They're yeah good.
Speaker 8 (05:03):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (05:04):
And then the pub and then we have a couple others.
Another one on Casadilla's if you haven't been there, they're
another great Mexican restaurant in the area. They actually just
expanded and they have a really awesome bar area that
they just added onto their restaurant.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Yeah, you mentioned Portillo's. Yeah they're really good.
Speaker 8 (05:22):
Yeah, they're really good too. They're another staple in the
Tune area.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
Yeah, they've been there for many years. So in terms
of how does it work now, people pay a certain
price and they can basically eat their brains out.
Speaker 8 (05:32):
Yeah. So yeah, that's that's pretty much it. I mean,
so good.
Speaker 9 (05:36):
We we we decided to keep it one price, so
it's fifty dollars, you know if and then of course
kids five and under e free, and then if kids
older than that will be twenty dollars. But every restaurant
is bringing about four fifty to five hundred samplesow, so yeah,
and then we the only thing you pay for separately
would be beer and wine that we're going to have
for sale as well. But yeah, the whole you'll be
able to walk around check out these different restaurants. And
(05:58):
then we are also going to have some inner payment.
Speaker 8 (06:00):
We have.
Speaker 9 (06:02):
Rock Stars of Tomorrow, a band in the area that
will be performing, and then we have a DJ. And
then for the kids, we are having a kid's corner
that's gonna be set up with some activities for them.
Speaker 7 (06:10):
Oh how fun that'd be. Really, it's like a family
affair exactly.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Now.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
We're's just gonna be The date is the twenty second
of June, and it's going to be where.
Speaker 9 (06:19):
It's gonna be at the shops and Chino Hills where
the farmers Market is usually held, right in front of
Limericks Tavern on that street. We're gonna have that's we're
gonna have a part of that Street blocked off for
this event, and then it's gonna be from five thirty
to eight thirty.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Oh perfect.
Speaker 7 (06:33):
Yeah, now's then it's cooler, you know, at night, and
it's not so.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
You're gonna have some great judges. They're really really professional judges,
unbelievable judges, like the best in the world.
Speaker 9 (06:42):
Right, Yeah, we're gonna we're excited to have you and
Lizzie there that you guys will be our judge, one
of our one set of our judges. And then we're
also going to have the Mayor of Chino Unice and
Peter Rogers, the Mayor of Chino Hills.
Speaker 7 (06:56):
Oh exciting.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
Good. Speaking of hierarchy. Here on the phone, we have
Zeb Wilbourn, who's the president of Cheetoh Valley Chamber. Welcome
to let's sign out yo, Zeb.
Speaker 11 (07:07):
Yeah, all right, thanks for having me and James. Well done.
Thank you for highlighting our restaurants in the Taste of
Chino Valley.
Speaker 8 (07:14):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
I'll tell you you're I was telling him before we
got on the air. Your area there probably has I
think the finest restaurant, one of the finest restaurants sections.
I mean, there's so many restaurants there that are so good.
There's a lot of restaurants in the Empire, but not
all are good. But Chino is one area that I
really like because you have so many different, diverse restaurants there,
(07:35):
and it seems like you're getting more and more.
Speaker 11 (07:39):
Yeah. No, that's one of the things we really like
about our community. They're they're you know, mom and pop
for the most part, a lot of mom and pop
restaurants there. There's different corridors of restaurants too that are
pretty popular amongst foodies to go check out. So we
have a great group of restaurants. We have great partners.
They're alreays looking to build a songer community to so
the restaurants that are involved in the chamber in the community,
(08:00):
they want to give back and that's one of the
things we love about our restaurants and doing the staste
of you know valley, it's just the way to bring
the community together, bring our businesses together, celebrate on some
food and have a great time.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Yeah, you have one large Asian community restaurants here. I
mean you can almost do another Chinatown there really, no, really,
you have a lot of Vietnamese and Thai and Chinese.
You got just a lot of restaurants, not just a few,
but a lot more than any other area I think
in the around this area.
Speaker 11 (08:30):
Yeah, I mean yeah, we have, like you, like you
mentioned earlier, a lot of diverse restaurants, a lot of
diverse locations of food sources. And then that's what makes
trect to me, it's so great is we just have
a big a group of mixed cultures coming together and
the food that makes the food even better, you know, right.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
Well, besides food, I mean just businesses too. Your your
area just seems is growing and growing. I mean some
some some I think communities just seem to stand still,
nothing's changed never but yours, I mean you constantly have
new businesses. And he's lost a few I think was
the pandemic, but it seems like they're growing and growing
and growing more than anybody else.
Speaker 11 (09:08):
Yeah. You know, I was born and raised in Chino Hills.
So I was born in nineteen eighty one and there
was just one track of homes that I lived in.
And over the years I'm now home, I'm forty two
years old. So over the years our community has paged
a ton. And you're right, the city of Chino we
just had their stay of the city and they were
talking about how Chino is one of the top ten
(09:29):
boom towns in the country, and so that does bring
in a lot of businesses, a lot of economic growth.
There's a lot of excitement from our Chamber of Commerce
to be involved in that. So it's been a fun
few years as we've grown. I have some friends in
the military, so they'll come back every you know, two
or three years to say hi. And every time they
come back, our community looks totally different, with a lot
(09:50):
more new restaurants, a lot more new developments. But honestly,
it's been put together really well by our cities to
help manage that growth. And it's just a great town,
a great place to be in and a great place
to live in.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
I know, traffic is pretty easy there too, and that's
the other thing that amazes me. Where it's so good.
You have a lot of of you know, areas access accidentally,
but it's easy to get through. It's not like Marito
Valley here in Redlands, you know. I mean you can
go very easily there and parking where you're gonna have
the events.
Speaker 7 (10:19):
A lot of spaces here, yeah, yeah, definitely.
Speaker 11 (10:23):
There's a lot of space and that's one of the
great things about where we're kind of located. Right We're
right in the middle of ed Verardino County, Orange County,
La County, Riverside County. They all kind of converge in
one spot, and you're right, it is easy to kind
of get through and navigate those areas. And with growth
comes comes from traffic from time to time. But in
comparison with other areas, I feel like we've got a
(10:46):
We've got a great place to live and call home.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
Right now. In terms of you, how long have you
been in to prison.
Speaker 11 (10:53):
I've been the president of the Chamber. I'm actually about
to hit my five year anniversary. Wow, five years of
being the president. It was involved as a member for
about gosh, it was like seven years before that, so
I was on the board of directors and then they
asked me to take it over at one point, and
I've been running it for the past five.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Years, you know, about ten years ago, probably maybe a
little longer. We did some work there. I worked for
a magazine and I worked pretty closely with the Chamber.
And you're one of the few chambers that I've admired.
Most of them, I'll be honest with you, they don't
do much for their people, but you guys really did.
You and Rancho I think for the top two. I
couldn't believe the amount of effort you put into businesses
(11:33):
and to helping them out. And really that's what chambers
are supposed to be doing, and you guys do a
great job of that.
Speaker 11 (11:40):
Well, that's awesome. I appreciate that you never know how
people perceive things from the outside, but I do know
that we did put in a ton of work. You know.
I mentioned I've been involved for five years and I
think I was just getting my feet wet when COVID hit,
you know, and that was a big sock to everybody
and not quite sure how to handle it. But we
I felt like we really rode the occasion. Then helped
(12:03):
out our businesses that were so uncertain on how they
were going to face those challenges. And so, you know,
just our community alone, we got about four hundred million
dollars in CCP loans. We helped advocate for that, and
so we really helped our businesses. And then we had
a lot of businesses that really articulated that they were
able to stay alive because we helped them during the
(12:23):
pandemic and that's something that I I am very proud
of that we're able to keep businesses afloat and grow.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
It's amazing.
Speaker 7 (12:32):
Is you see something No, I just want to share
it with everybody. You can look it up if you
want more details about this event as Taste of Chino
Valley and if you google it you can find it.
It actually pops up on the Chamber of Commerce Chino
Chamber of Commerce dot com website and it gives you,
like a video YouTube video a previous taste of Chino Valley.
(12:55):
And also you know the cost early bird specials, so
definitely register early, get your tickets early so that you
don't miss out and get to the event.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
That's good. You're listening to the Let's Sign Out show
right here on AM ten fifty and one of six
point five FM, the stations that leave no listeners behind,
and we're talking about the Taste that Chino that's coming
up June twenty second. And with us is James Elvera,
the co chair of the of the event, and also
zeb Welborne, who is the president of Chino Valley Chamber
(13:27):
of Commerce. So we have two big guests here. You'll
be there too, eating, right, Yes, Okay, I hate being
invited to a place, and I've been to a biding
place and people who invited me aren't going to be
there to eat. I'm like, something's wrong there.
Speaker 9 (13:40):
So no, no, I will definitely be there to eat,
but we'll also be involved with a little bit of
the behind the scenes and logistics as well.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
So now I understand you guarantee that people will be
filled coming here. Yeah, not gonna walk away hungry, right.
Speaker 8 (13:52):
No, you won't walk away.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
You have ambulances there to for the crawls and people
crawl out there over.
Speaker 9 (14:00):
That's actually one of the I forgot to highlight that
we will have the China Valley, but we're gonna have
one of the local fire departments There're they're going to
be serving hot dogs.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
Actually, wow, support your local fire station.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Yeah cool, awesome. Well in terms of zebe in terms
of I guess the chamber, what's going on? Is there
anything special that's going on this next couple of years,
anything new and Chino that you can tell us about.
Speaker 11 (14:24):
Yeah. So, so from a chamber perspective, we've been working
to help our businesses with their workforce shortage. So there's
there's a workforce shortage across the country. You guys have
all probably seen help wanted signs everywhere and everywhere. We've
been in the loop on that as well. So we've
devoted a lot of time, effort, and energy to try
to help our businesses find good quality workers. So we've
(14:49):
we've created a program that we called Upskilled Kino Valley.
It's leadership development, it's workforce development, it's economics development, and
entrepreneurship development. I can't remember, so that's why the leaderships
the other one. So there's four things in there, but
that's the work the stuff that we've been working on
to try and help our businesses in this post pandemic period,
trying to get them the staff that they need so
(15:10):
that they can grow and that our businesses can grow
and our local economy can grow. That's what we've been
working on in is chamber. And then meaning why, I mean,
like you mentioned, there is a lot of growth. There's
a big logistic cub that is kind of developing in
our regions. So there are a lot of logistics companies
that are popping up, and that's one of the things
that's happening on the East side of town. And so
(15:32):
there's a lot of good things happening right now in
the city of Gino and Chino Hills.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
How about homes, a lot of home developments and new
home developments.
Speaker 11 (15:39):
Yeah, I mean, so it's interesting times. Right there was
an allotment of development for housing. I'm not fully in
the loop on exactly how much housing is building, but
I know there's significant projects that are being built in
Chino and Chino Hills, and so those are things like
I mentioned where Chino was qualified as a boom town,
so there's definitely a development in a building. But we
(16:00):
mostly focus on business. You know, we want to see
businesses growing and be able to find workers. And that's
one of those things where we have a lot of
people commuting from out of the area and so we
want to try to make sure that we can help them,
you know, find affordable homes so they can live in
and then also work in our community so that we
can build a place or you can live, work and play.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
I forgot to tell my mom we have radio now. Anyway,
once you stand by, we're going to do a couple
commercials and we'll be right back. Let's sign out show
right here on AM ten fifty and one oh six
point five FM.

Well, good, good, and we definitely want to get you
on video while we're there too. We're gonna do some
highlights videos and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
Oh cool. Anything we can help you with definitely Okay,
we're gonna when we come back, we'll we talk about
your sponsors, and then James will talk a little bit
about the real estate what's going on there, and then
we'll go back to you. Is there what is there
anything you want to talk about again? Anything?
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (20:05):
I mean I can highlight our sponsors.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
I got you want to do that? Okay, Okay, you
do that? Okay?
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Is that?
Speaker 9 (20:09):
What's the name of the new center that's being built
by the preserve. I'm blanking on the name of the
were the new shopping centers going?
Speaker 11 (20:17):
But I think it's about like Bill, it's something I
honestly don't even know that. That's no worry, but it
could be open in September, August, September.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Yeah, okay, okay, Joe, Oh, we're live now. I didn't
know we're lying. Okay, welcome back to the signe out Show. Yeah,
we're professionals too, Okay, real quick, zeb Zeb Wilburn, who's
(20:47):
uh president of the chamber Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce.
He's gonna talk about some of the sponsors of the event.
Speaker 11 (20:55):
Yeah, so we're very lucky and you mentioned you know
that the Teita Valley Chamber of commerce is is uh,
you know, we've been doing great things and it's because
of our businesses and so we have probably about forty
to fifty businesses that are not restaurants to sponsor the event.
So that's it's going to be too difficult to go
through all of them. But I do want to encourage
you all to take a look at our sponsors on
(21:17):
that taste you know page. If you do come, you'll
see banners and stuff of those sponsors. So we were
very grateful to have the support of our business community,
and you know, through COVID, we had a lot of
our businesses step up to support our restaurants too, because
restaurants took a big hit when that happened, and so
that's it's just kind of a lingering effect from our
businesses coming together to support our local restaurants. And that's
(21:40):
one of the reasons why Chino and Chino Hill has
had some great restaurants. Like you mentioned earlier.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Well, that's it's so neat in then.
Speaker 7 (21:45):
Yeah, the website is actually Chino Valley Chamber dot chambermaster
dot com. If you do look up Gino Valley Chamber
dot chambermaster dot com. If you look for the event.
You'll see all the great sponsors they have for this event,
for the local businesses and also all the participating you
(22:06):
know what's being offered, and how much the event's going
to cost, and how to register. Do early birds once.
Speaker 4 (22:12):
You tell me about that, that's interesting, Yeah, yeah, save money?
Why not?
Speaker 9 (22:15):
So actually I think I think that needs to be corrected.
So we were originally going to do like an early
bird pricing, but we decided just to leave it at fifty.
Speaker 8 (22:22):
Okay, So we left it at fifty.
Speaker 9 (22:24):
So the pricing is going to stay the same, but
do register early because you know, we want you there.
Speaker 10 (22:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (22:31):
We also our restaurants also, you know how many people
are showing up, So if if we don't have that
full number on the day of, then we might we
might we might be short on some of our restaurants
time food, but there will definitely be food for everybody.
But we encourage everybody to register in advance so we
can make sure that we queue our restaurants on how
many folks we have coming.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
And what's the best way to get tickets here, Yeah,
so that's the best way is.
Speaker 11 (22:54):
To our website. So it is just Chino Valley Chamber
dot com. There's an event tab on the web. You
just click on that event and it'll bring up pace
at Kino Valley on June twenty second. And it's going
to be a great time. The weather should be perfect,
it should be, like we mentioned, lots of entertainment, great food.
Last year was a phenomenal vibe and experience and this
(23:15):
year is going to be even better.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
What did you like best about it last year?
Speaker 11 (23:19):
So last year we changed our venues, so we used
to do it at the Safety College Community Center, which
was great, but moving into the shops and that outdoor venue,
we had d days, playing music, lots of interaction, we
had a beer and wine section, and I think this
just the overall outdoor atmosphere was really cool. And the
Shops of Tino Hills is a great place to host
(23:41):
that event. We also want to give them a shout
out because they are giving us that space to host
that event, and we really appreciate their support and sponsorship
of the chamber. So that's what I'd say, this is
the best thing to look forward to, and this year,
I think we're going to have more restaurants and more
people showing up because word got out that it was
so good last year.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
Good and it's very safe here. It's one thing I
want people to know about.
Speaker 7 (24:03):
Yeah, very friendly, family friendly place.
Speaker 11 (24:06):
Yep, oh absolutely, yes, yes, yeah, it is a great spot.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (24:12):
Just in case everybody don't know where this location is,
the address of the event is one three nine two
zero City Center Drive in Chino Hills, California. Once again,
it's one three nine two zero City Center Drive and
Chino Hills.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
If you take the freeway, seventy one Freeway, where do
you get off the.
Speaker 8 (24:33):
Grand Yeah, you get off right on Grand right.
Speaker 9 (24:35):
Yeah, Well, depending on what side you come in, which
way you're coming on the seventy one. Yeah, so if
you're coming yeah, if you're coming from Riverside, it'll be
uh you and make a left if you're coming from
uh the if you're coming from the other way, it'd
be right.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
It's a great center too, though it's open ended. It's
just a lot of good stuff locked stores here and
yeah course.
Speaker 7 (24:55):
Plus they have those neat little fountains the kids love
to run through.
Speaker 11 (25:00):
Did you do that? They have founders, They got a
little train that you can hop on. You know, there's
lots of us like popping going on there too.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (25:08):
I mean it's just definitely you know, a family event,
you know, so you know, not only the parents get
to enjoy all the their foodies. They get to enjoy
all the food that's being offered, and the kids get
to you know, eat whatever they want and play with
other kids.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
I suggest could get there early, you know. I think
it's walk around, do some shopping and you're right there
and you can have dinner.
Speaker 7 (25:30):
Yeah, it's a whole night of entertainment.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
Yeah, it's really a nice mall. I really like it definitely.
Speaker 9 (25:35):
Yeah, and we're fortunate that some of the we're able
to get some of the restaurants that are there already
we got there, they're going to be there, Like we
said Ras Sushi earlier, Seven Leaves that's there, and bronksp
the butchery is actually there too there, and then there's
some there's two new other restaurants that are coming up
that are being built there right now. This we have
the stand coming to the shops and then I believe
the other one is it.
Speaker 8 (25:55):
Canva or Kavakava.
Speaker 9 (25:56):
I believe Cova that that's uh, they're going to be
opening soon there too, So that's it's exciting because you were.
You know, there's more, there's new places coming in there,
so we hope, hopefully we can have them be part
of the taste next year.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
It's refreshing to see new restaurants opening up, isn't it Isay?
Speaker 7 (26:09):
Yeah, and especially I think that area, you mean, just
it's it's really fun to walk around. You know, it's
not overly crowded, so it's like, you know, there's a
lot of way in and out, so it's not like
tons of you know, like you get some malls or
outdoors it's hard to access, right, it's easy access. There's planning,
parking spaces. I mean, you know, there's trade jos, there's
(26:29):
a little bit of everything in that shopping center. So
I mean, you know, it's it really offers a low
for everybody.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
A lot of boutiques here. I really like it. Again,
it's June twenty second. It's called it Tasted Chino and
the website is what is.
Speaker 7 (26:43):
Oh sorry I didn't know what was pointing. I mean,
now it's a gino.
Speaker 9 (26:47):
You can go to the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce
website or Chino Valley Chamber dot com dot com.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
Okay, yeah, you can buy tickets and stuff. So now, James,
you're a real litor and what's the real real estate
market look like it's especially in value, are you yeah?
Speaker 9 (27:02):
Well thanks, yeah again, So I didn't mention just earlier.
So I'm a local relator. That's how i got involved
with the chamber. I'm a part of a team out there,
we'll say team called Fusion Home Group. We're based right
now out of Keller Williams in Chino Hills. So it's
been great to get involved with the chamber and I'll
see how they're supporting local businesses there. But going back
to your question the market right now, it's it's kind
(27:24):
of interesting because it is still technically a seller's market.
Speaker 8 (27:28):
We don't have enough homes on.
Speaker 9 (27:30):
The market in in correlation to how many buyers we have.
During for the first part this year, we did see
a drop in in buyers actively looking. But I think
people have gotten adjusted to where rates are and you know,
we're kind of hovering in that like high sixes to
low sevens.
Speaker 8 (27:48):
We're kind of in that.
Speaker 9 (27:49):
We've been in that way for a couple of months now,
so people have kind of got adjusted and said, hey,
I still need to buy a home.
Speaker 8 (27:54):
So buyers are out there.
Speaker 9 (27:55):
So we're starting to see multiple offers again on homes, uh,
but not seeing anything close to the pandemic where we
would see like a hundred one hundred offers on a home.
I'd say on average, like we're the most I've been
seen is about twenty or thirty offers, which.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
Is still a lot.
Speaker 8 (28:09):
It's still a lot, but.
Speaker 9 (28:11):
It's just the nature of the beast right now because
we don't have enough homes on the market and part
of that has to do with people that bought during
the pandemic when rates were two or three, So there's
people locked in. So the people that we're seeing, yeah,
they don't want to move. So the people we're seeing
right now that are selling are people that are you know,
it's a lot. It's usually life circumstances or they just
absolutely need to sell. But it's a great time to
(28:34):
do that if you are looking to sell, because again,
especially with Chino and Chino Hills, there's it's a very
desirable area for people to move in because of the schools,
the businesses. So and we do have some development going on,
mainly in the Preserve area that's kind of where most
of the new homes are being built, so that's on
the end. It's kind of interesting because the preserve is
(28:55):
like on the border of Chino Chino Hills. It's like
but it's still part of Chino and it's kind of
close to East Vale.
Speaker 8 (29:02):
But it's a.
Speaker 9 (29:03):
Great community of homes. They have I believe three three
community centers they have. They do a lot of events
as a community, so they'll do stuff like during Halloween
and things like that fall. So they have a lot
of great amenities there for people. They have like two gyms,
they have a pole. I think there's a couple of
parks in there. But one thing they haven't had for
(29:25):
a long time is they haven't had a shopping center,
so you've if you lived in the preserve, you would
have to drive over to Grand or drive up to
East Vale to get to the shopping. So one thing
that's exciting is that they did break ground on the
Town Center, which is going to be the new center
that'll be opening up in I believe September. That's going
to have a State of Brothers and some other shops
and other eateries there, so they'll have some places that
(29:46):
are closer to them so they don't have to drive,
which they can still drive over Grand but it'll be
nice to have that local for that area and to
see new businesses come in to Chino as well.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
I remember my friend Harmon and Margie they move We're
from LA and they moved to Chino Gino. It's boom dogs.
Who's gonna live there? Boy? Well, we wrote we should
have moved out there at that time, but it's gone crazy.
Speaker 9 (30:08):
I really like that community, and yeah, it's a great area,
and I think a lot of it has to do with, uh,
not just but the schools. I think that's what a
lot of I know, a lot of people are drawn
to that area because of you have. You know, you
have some great high schools in the area for people.
So that's why that's really important.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
You're listening to Let's Sign Out Show right here on
AM ten fifty and one O six point five FM,
the stations that leave no listener behind and again let's
Sign Out Show, and we're gonna be talking about the
taste of Chino. It's June twenty second. It's an incredible experience.
If you like eating, walking around and trying new restaurants,
That's that's what I really like. People to do is
(30:47):
try new resterners. So many people go to the same
restaurants over and over, and so many great restaurants out there,
especially the new ones that they don't try. That's a
great opportunity.
Speaker 7 (30:56):
Yeah, good way to discover new things. Get like you know,
you have a diverse palette, you want to try something new,
get a little bit more adventurous. This is the way
to do it. I mean, you know, you pay a
flat fee, you get to try a little bit of everything.
I mean there's a lot of offerings, you know, like
the twenty or thirty different business is going to be
offering you different cuisines and different menu items. I mean,
(31:18):
how exciting is that? I mean a vooty I mean,
that's definitely the place I would rather be than, you know,
I don't know anywhere else on the Thursday night five
thirty till eight thirty. So I mean it's it's you know,
early enough and you know long enough where you know
you have enough time to really get your get your
money worth.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
I think definitely we'll be doing a we can't do
a showlder unfortunately, but you know we'll be reviewing the restaurants.
Speaker 7 (31:43):
Well, we can do live Facebook live version.
Speaker 4 (31:46):
We'll do some basebook camera. So, Jeff, one last thing
with you in terms of the chamber, how many memories
do you have in there and what's the process of
getting into the chamber.
Speaker 11 (31:58):
Yeah, we have about five hundred members currently, so it's
really easy to be a member. You just have to
sign up and pay the fees. So the sign up
is on our website. As you take a look, and
I encourage you to look around our website. We're doing
a lots of programs, lots of great things to help
businesses and so really the chamber is there to help
you solve you know, solve your problems or find new opportunities.
(32:22):
And so getting involved in any chamber of commerce if
you're a business, and highly encourage you to get involved
with your local chamber of commerce. Help make a difference
in your community and build a stronger business community.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
Let me ask you this, if you lived in a
different community, I mean you can still join yours, right,
I mean you can still benefit from it.
Speaker 11 (32:41):
Yeah, yeah, I mean absolutely, it doesn't matter which community
you live in. You can join any chamber you want.
We have a lot of businesses that don't operate in
Chino and Chino Hills. But they just like the fact,
or they want to operate in Chino Chino Hills, or
they like the businesses that we work with. So we
have people businesses from out of our area coming and
joining us. But yeah, I mean, I just encourage you
(33:03):
to get involved somewhere. A community is only as strong
as it's business community, So I encourage you to get involved,
get engaged and help support like James. James is a
perfect example of somebody who decided to get involved and
because of that, he's business has grown and he's got
to beat new people and he's got to do fun
things like chatting with YouTube. YouTube.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
In terms of other events that the chamber puts on,
can you tell us all about them?
Speaker 7 (33:30):
Yeah, anything up and coming, like in the summertime, because
I know you guys do some sort of summer events
right throughout the summer.
Speaker 11 (33:37):
Yeah, we do. So we do about one major event
a month. We do some minor events as well. So
once a week we have a business of Brakfice. That's
the Pinot Hills Community Center every Wednesday morning from seven
forty five to nine. But our next big events that
are coming up is we have a business Awards dinner,
so that's going to be in a month, so I
think that's July twenty seventh. We're planning a women's conference,
(34:00):
so I think that data is sent for August tenth.
We're planning in AI symposium. So artificial intelligence is kind
of a big thing right now, and we want to
make sure that our businesses are in the loop on
everything when it comes to AI. We're going to do
this AI Symposium in September, and then we're doing an
Innovation Council. We're going to have the Mayor of Irvine
(34:20):
and some people that are leading the way in innovation
come and talk to our chamber members. Oh and I
forgot one more thing. We're doing an economic summit with
doctor Chris Thornberg. I believe he's going to be hosting
if we're collaborating with four other chambers. It's going to
be at the Richard Nixon Library. And I can't remember
the date, but I know it's coming up pretty quickly,
(34:42):
so I want to say it's either at the end
of June or beginning of July, but that's coming up
pretty quick too.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
Do you do any more events for the community, like
the Taste of Chino.
Speaker 11 (34:52):
Yeah, so I mean, so let's see our events like
that that are coming up. We do a business expo,
so that one is also at the shop that's going
to be in October. We do a holiday lunch, and
we do a salute to public safety. We host both
states of the city. That women's conference that I mentioned,
we used to do a golf tournament and it's one
(35:13):
that I started. So I'm taking the golf turner back
to my rotary club. So my rotary club is doing
a golf tournament. So all of these events are guarant
towards helping the community in one way or another, and
so no more like paste related stuff, but we do
have lots of other things to help support different sectors
of our business community.
Speaker 7 (35:34):
Now you do have a farmer's market, don't you.
Speaker 11 (35:37):
So the shops does they have a farmer's market every Wednesday,
which is super successful. I was actually there this last Wednesday,
so yeah, I'd encourage everybody to check that out too.
It's a farmer's market every Wednesday night at the stop hop.
Speaker 7 (35:51):
Yeah, and then I think they have a night market.
Different things like that.
Speaker 4 (35:55):
Right, It's a happening community.
Speaker 7 (35:56):
I know it is happening community.
Speaker 11 (35:58):
Yeah, the shops will put on a event. Like you
guys said, it's a very nice location, so there's lots
of desire to host the events there and they do
their own programming there too, so there's always something going on,
and I'm sure on their website they have a list
of upcoming events as well. So they're a great partner.
We love being a part being connected and there's always
something something good happening in Gino and Chino Hills.
Speaker 7 (36:20):
Yeah, just google Gino at Chino Hills events. There's tons
of stuff to do, I mean for the family and
just lots of offering.
Speaker 9 (36:27):
So and then zeb I think there's two other ones
that we do periodically. I don't know we've done, like
the we have the wine is it the Wine Night,
and then there's the lop Surface.
Speaker 4 (36:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (36:38):
So the wine Walk is not run by the chamber,
but that is run by the Chino Hills Community Foundations.
So that's a big one that they do at the shops.
That's also in October. I think it's two weeks before
our business expo, so that's a great time if you'd
like wine. It's very similar to our tastes as Pino
Valley By, but a lot larger they have. I want
to say they had like a thousand people or twelve
(37:00):
hundred people last year. It's a great time. And then
the Lobster Fest, Uh, we we had. We're not sure
if we're going to do that. That was our rotary club
that did that, So we're not sure.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
If we're to do well.
Speaker 7 (37:10):
We had to stay tuned on that one up for that.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
Well.
Speaker 11 (37:15):
Yeah, maybe maybe if you guys help us get the
word out about it, maybe we will go back to
doing that this next year.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
That'll be fun.
Speaker 7 (37:21):
They'll be fun.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
People are ready to get out now, I mean especially restaurants.
I think people are trying new restaurants, you know. I
think that excites people and that's what makes a community.
Restaurants are so important.
Speaker 11 (37:32):
No, great, it is. And one of the challenges just
I don't know if I can say that or not,
but one of the challenges with our restaurants is, you know,
they are all suffering from the workforce challenges, right, So
that's the big issue about getting restaurants to participate is
is they just don't have the staff but to take
time to go out and do that kind of stuff.
So just it is. It is something that impacts all
(37:53):
of our communities. The restaurant community included that workforce issue,
and so that's one of the reasons why we're working
so hard to help solve that, so that we can
make sure that our restaurants can take the time to
market and the tense things like our tastes.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
That's so important because I mean, every restaurant I talk
to is the same thing. They're always looking for people,
every one of them. And even we were in Greece
and in Rome the same thing. They're lack of staff
there too, So it's a worldwide situation. But you know,
for a restaurant, they need people to work there. I mean,
you know, they can't be there seven days a week,
twenty four hours a day. I mean, that's it's a
(38:26):
big business.
Speaker 11 (38:27):
Sorry yep, yeah, but it is a big issue, and
that's one of the reasons why we're trying to take
that on to try to help our businesses so they
can grow and and you know, to grow and build
better businesses and everybody in our community benefits when that happens.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
I agree. So what a great job you guys are
doing a great job. Can't wait to meet you and again,
it's June twenty second. It's a taste of Chino from
five thirty to eighty thirty and for more information go.
Speaker 7 (38:52):
To go to Chino Valley Chamber dot com Chino Valley
Chamber dot com.
Speaker 4 (38:58):
I love throwing things that you.
Speaker 7 (39:00):
He never prepares me just point you're quick.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
Agree with that, so well, Zeb, thank you very much
for joining us and uh looking forward to seeing it
in a week and a half or so.
Speaker 11 (39:10):
Awesome. Thank you so much, it's been such a pleasure.
And look at board a meeting as well.
Speaker 4 (39:13):
You too, be well take care bye bye. Wow what
a I can't I'm hungry just thinking about that.
Speaker 7 (39:19):
I'm all worked up. I'm like all excited. I'm ready
to go.
Speaker 4 (39:22):
I think every city should do that. I just think
it's so important.
Speaker 8 (39:26):
Yeah, there are some other there are some other cities.
I do it.
Speaker 9 (39:28):
So it is nice to see that because it's it's
really a great way to like highlight restaurants, but also
to help them get some new business, especially since like
ZEB was sharing that a lot of them are struggling
with the workforce issue. Because I see a lot of
force or help wanted science in restaurants or I've seen
(39:48):
a couple of restaurants where they'll they'll have to cut
their hours for that day because they don't have enough staff.
Speaker 4 (39:52):
Cut the menu they I mean everything. Yeah, yeah, Although
there's one restaurant in you Kaipo that w you just
went to that's expanding. It's called the Fat Green. If
you like Greek restaurants, unbelievable, but the plans they have,
it can't tell me everything, but they've got.
Speaker 7 (40:06):
Some exciting stuff bars. They're building a new bar.
Speaker 4 (40:10):
Oh bar now, and they have a Greek chef that's
coming in to help them all new items and everything,
and they're thinking about getting lamb grilling a lamb on
a spit.
Speaker 7 (40:20):
It's like a Greek festival all around.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
But Izz he likes going there for the chicken and
the lemon chicken and the soup.
Speaker 7 (40:26):
That oh I love the lemon eggs egg soup. Right,
I can't say the word so I'm gonna slaughter it.
But yeah, it's like a chicken soup, but it has egg
and lemon and has like rice in it and it's
really or so so it's really really good. And then
they also do a awesome flaming cheese. Oh the suck
(40:46):
and it's flaming cheese. Like literally they lights it on
fire in front of you and douse it off with
lemon juice and it's amazing. I mean, if you like cheese,
this is the way to eat it.
Speaker 4 (40:58):
But they're chicken. They're Greek chicken favorite.
Speaker 7 (41:00):
To die for. It is so lemon infused and then
the potatoes are like hagy i soak.
Speaker 4 (41:08):
Up all the juices from the chicken and all the lemon,
so it's like lemon chicken.
Speaker 7 (41:13):
We tried it. We tried like follow the recipe because
we're like, caught them up, Hey, how do you do it?
Gave us instructions, totally botched it and the whole thing
was like botched. So now just don't mean to try it.
Just go there and eat.
Speaker 4 (41:26):
That's it anyway. They also have great euro sandwiches and
everything they have is delicious. It's called the Greek mad
the fact, Greek Fat Greek. It's in Kai, it's right
off the boulevard and I do you recommend it? And
we're gonna have them on talking about their new menu
pretty soon once it's established. And what else again?
Speaker 8 (41:43):
Check that place out? That sounds delicious.
Speaker 7 (41:45):
It's really good.
Speaker 9 (41:46):
Yeah, yeah, I love all of food, but I do
love Greek food, so I'll have to definitely check that out.
But since we're talking about Greek, before you hop on there,
there's another. I don't know if you guys have checked
it out yet. There's it's Demassi and the Actually it's
a little bit.
Speaker 7 (41:57):
Of Yeah, it's a chain and we've been to the
one in Houston, several of them in Houston's Houston and
Texas area. And Alan was so excited when all that
being open. He's like, oh my god.
Speaker 11 (42:13):
It's here.
Speaker 4 (42:14):
They have everything. It's a fade, but it's really good quality.
Speaker 9 (42:17):
It's very good quality, and it's it's treadest is the
only one we have here because I think they're primarily
in Texas there. Yeah, so it's nice that they came
out this way. But it is delicious.
Speaker 8 (42:26):
The food you have.
Speaker 4 (42:27):
Kebabs, they've got lamb, they got chicken, they.
Speaker 7 (42:29):
Get the lamb shanks like on the weekends, I think
at dinner time.
Speaker 4 (42:32):
Yeah, three or four different types of hummuses, and I
mean it's gigantically.
Speaker 9 (42:38):
Yeah, I do you like the lamb because you have
to press the little bell for the you to go.
Speaker 7 (42:43):
Hello, what the lamb shick. It's huge. I mean that
that they give you a whole shank, so like takes
like two or three people to eat that.
Speaker 4 (42:50):
It's only like what twenty three dollars something like that,
twenty three, twenty four.
Speaker 8 (42:53):
It depends when what time you go.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
Okay, so I.
Speaker 7 (42:54):
Think the dinner time is twenty something.
Speaker 9 (42:56):
Yet I think it's well terms of if you go
on I think on the weekends it's like I think
it's like thirty yeah, and then it's I think if
you go like during the week it's for dinner, it's
like twenty five. But I know lunch lunch is like
twenty which is a steel so well worth it.
Speaker 14 (43:10):
Oh.
Speaker 7 (43:10):
Their food's amazing, I mean in the quality, it's so fresh.
I mean you see them refreshing it all the time.
So yeah, that's definitely on our list to go try out.
See how how it compares to back in Houston where
my family is. Uh, that's every time we go home,
that's where we go together.
Speaker 8 (43:28):
Yeah that sounds good.
Speaker 4 (43:29):
So yeah, well, a lot of good restaurants were going
to and like I said, Vegas, so we've got a
bunch of them. One of my favorites is Esther's Kitchen
and if you've never been there, it's excellent, really good food.
It's where all the chefs go.
Speaker 7 (43:41):
Mate from scratch. Let's put this. They make their pasta
from scratch. Oh sorry, Joe, you're missing out on that one.
I know you love pasta. But it's so good. I
mean last time we went, I literally like couldn't stop eating.
Speaker 4 (43:56):
And it's a noisy place. It's it's crowded, but it's
it's just a hip place. The food there, and they
have an incredible sour dough bread. They give you a loaf,
you buy it, the order it. Yeah, that it's homemade bread. Unbelievable.
They give you different sides with it you order, and
just a delicious restaurant. And he has like two others
he's opening up.
Speaker 7 (44:14):
Yeah, but you have to make reservations. You cannot just
walk in because there's no way you can get in
the door because people are lined up just to get in.
And so it's it's that good, you know, And it's
kind of like local secret, you know. It's more like Palaestations,
a local place to go eat.
Speaker 4 (44:30):
All the chefs we talked to. That's one of the
restaurants that go to. So it's gotta be good. So
it's called Esther's Kitchen. And again we're gonna be eating
our way through Vegas for about ten twelve days, so
we'll be talking a lot, and you can follow us
on the website and.
Speaker 7 (44:43):
Hopefully Alan will take pictures and post them because he
tends to take pictures. I don't know if he posted them,
you know, So we'll follow him and maybe ask him,
hey where are you today, maybe prompts him to post
some pictures.
Speaker 4 (44:56):
You can get to Let's dign out show on not
Facebook or Alan Borgan or Isy.
Speaker 7 (45:03):
Yeah, yep, definitely on Instagram. I can message us. You
can Facebook, you know, Alan, you tend to be on there.
Speaker 4 (45:09):
So now artificial intelligence I can probably use that. It
can probably help me.
Speaker 7 (45:16):
Well it will help you knowing that the show is live.
Speaker 4 (45:20):
Yeah, yeah, we can do an AI show. Yes, say
hi here and there and no, no can do a
show wonder I don't know.
Speaker 9 (45:32):
Well, you can't train it to I mean there is
AI that you can train to, like there's there're coming
an air where you can train it to sound like
it's it's crazy, So you just have to like, I
guess it.
Speaker 8 (45:41):
I don't know how. I have to look into how
it works.
Speaker 4 (45:43):
We should find out.
Speaker 7 (45:44):
Yeah, find out talk for Alan, Yeah, especially my throat
situations when it comes and goes right your voice. But anyways,
definitely go to the Taste of Chino. This is coming
June twenty second, from five thirty to eight thirty. We
will be there, so you know, definitely come up and
say hi. Would love to see everybody come support of event,
(46:06):
and you know, to beat other foodies because since we're
all love to eat, that's the place to be.
Speaker 4 (46:13):
You have a favorite cuisine anything, just like.
Speaker 8 (46:17):
Uh in general, just.
Speaker 9 (46:21):
I kind of love all types of food, but one
thing that I don't get to eat enough of.
Speaker 8 (46:25):
Or I also love Indian food.
Speaker 9 (46:27):
It's just so good. Oh yeah, but I think, yeah,
I think those are two. There's two things I want,
actually three things I want to say. No too is
Indian food, Greek food. We were talked about that and
then I love type food type.
Speaker 8 (46:38):
It's just great.
Speaker 4 (46:39):
So we've been Owen's Bistro.
Speaker 9 (46:41):
Yes, we I have had the privilege of being Owen's Ristro.
It's a great little spot in Chino is It's a
great little hidden gam there.
Speaker 4 (46:47):
They've been there forever and yeah, he was a Chef
of the Year and she was made of DA of
the Year one time. And just really good people. And
they really care about the quality of food. That's one
thing about them.
Speaker 8 (46:58):
Yeah, they do.
Speaker 4 (46:58):
They don't take any shortcuts. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (47:00):
We went to an Indian restaurant in Chino, did we.
It was really good, remember, yeah, right next to the
Credit Union. It's on grand Is looking. I'm looking it up. Yeah,
because it was really good. I thought it was really good.
Speaker 4 (47:16):
That's it.
Speaker 8 (47:17):
Tamar Camar Yeah, okay, Yeah, I've heard of them.
Speaker 7 (47:19):
Yeah, they're good. They're really good. I think they do
like to buffet if they used to, like, you know,
things changed during COVID, so you know, I think we
visited them maybe right before COVID and then yeah, so
we haven't been back, but we circle back because they
definitely have a really good Indian you know cuisine. We
tried it out and yeah, that's so good over there,
(47:41):
but there's no Greek food, and we do.
Speaker 9 (47:44):
We have a we have lunar girl. We have lunar grill,
and then we have a I think it's divine, divine, yeah, divine.
We have one lunar gril is a. It's on Grand
it's actually right across street from the shop.
Speaker 4 (47:54):
It's in Middle Eastern, right, Yeah, it's more.
Speaker 9 (47:56):
Yeah, it's kind of would say, mom, it's like a mixture.
I feel like it's a And then we have Divine
that's over by China Hills Parkway.
Speaker 4 (48:02):
Yeah. Well the Fat Greeks just down the road. It's
about tenants from here. Unbelievable.
Speaker 7 (48:06):
Yeah, you have to check them out. It's literally you
can drive through or eat there. It's a totally casual
place and they do I mean their they're families from Greece.
They it's authentic and they do do a little bit
of fusion. But their food's amazing.
Speaker 9 (48:19):
So it's definitely worth check out there because I hear
their analys to go with that. I hear there's some
new wineries popping up over in the Ukaype. I hear
that that's a big push right now.
Speaker 4 (48:27):
Yeah, there's the sou Big Cellars. I know that one. Yeah,
I don't know what the other is.
Speaker 7 (48:31):
Yeah. Well, there's a lot of open land back there too,
you know, like especially with the you know, you can
go up the mountains and you go pick apples and
stuff like that. On Oaklenn back there. So I'm sure
you know, the climate probably is perfect. You know, they
develop it. So cool, stay tuned, I guess.
Speaker 4 (48:49):
So, James, what are you gonna do the rest of
the weekend.
Speaker 9 (48:51):
Well, so my mom's birthday is coming up, so her
birthday next week, so we're gonna do lunch tomorrow for her.
For that, we're going to Shima, which in Chino it's
a it's kind of it's like a Benni hahnas, so
it's yeah, it's a it's a it's a kind of
a hidden gem and Chino, it's actually right in this
where the Kaiser is right off a Grand It's it's
(49:13):
right behind that, so it's right there's a little shopping
center behind that. And actually that's another great little hidden
area of Chino because so you have that Kaiser and
behind it there's like a shopping center, but you don't
you won't see it right off the street unless you
go there. But we have few o there and then
we actually have uh Venture's tavern.
Speaker 7 (49:30):
Yeah, then that's fantastic.
Speaker 4 (49:32):
Yeah, we were going to do a show and we
did a radio TV show.
Speaker 7 (49:35):
And COVID had that's why.
Speaker 4 (49:37):
Yeah, place is.
Speaker 9 (49:38):
Great and then we have a taste room that just
opened up next to it are Gonza Sellers, So it's
it's a winery and taste room there. It's the family there.
It's a both are owned by the same family. It's
they're both it's a family own business.
Speaker 4 (49:48):
But they have winery. They own wineries.
Speaker 9 (49:50):
Yeah, yeah, so they have their own wineries and then
they they you can do some tasting there and they
have a littleasting room right there, and then if you
you can go right next door to Ventor's Tavern and
get some fun.
Speaker 4 (49:58):
That's a hidden gym too. We've been as well.
Speaker 7 (50:00):
Yeah, we need to definitely go back circle back there.
So it was amazing. Yeah, like I said, I'm so
excited about China Hills, you know, Taste of China Hills
just because Gino Taste of Chino. Because the whole area
chi China Hills have so much to offer. I mean,
so many different restaurants and it's not like all chains, right,
it's a lot of Mama Pop's a really unique restaurant.
(50:22):
Maza Me is gonna be opened again, right. It used
to be there and they were phenomenal when they were
like next to Roscoe's. But they moved away and then
Alan just found out they're moving back. So I not
wait to go visit them again because they're probably one
of my top tier restaurants that I loved when I
tasted them.
Speaker 4 (50:43):
We didn't show. He's one of the guys he talks
really big, but he's one of the biggest. His food
matches his talk. And I said that, I mean a
lit of I mean he he really brags about his food,
but it's really that good.
Speaker 7 (50:55):
Yeah, he's I think from UK, right, his families from
UK at the restaurant there, and they actually they're they're
a type of Mediterranean food. I think it is Lebanese,
but it's a little bit different than most of the
Lebanies you see around, so it's it's more refined. I
think it's just the taste is so much more.
Speaker 4 (51:17):
Yes, yes, I m I s I check that out
eatery So sounds good. Anyway, all do talking food. I'm
starving now.
Speaker 8 (51:27):
Yeah, I'm getting hungry over here too, so I'm.
Speaker 4 (51:30):
Kind of on a die little carb dive lots by six.
Speaker 7 (51:32):
He's been starving himself, not starving killing him.
Speaker 9 (51:35):
