Season 2, Episode 5: The Living Full Out Show with Nancy Solari inspires listeners to overcome their problems in healthy and diverse ways that will improve their quality of life. Asking for help is a brave and important step in taking control of life’s twists and turns.

Today’s first caller, Hector, has a full-time job but is unsure how he can commit to looking for another one. Listen as Nancy encourages him to seek work by reaching out to potential employers for interviews and by working around his own schedule.

Our second caller, Paula, is newly hired after being unemployed for a period of time and isn’t sure if she has enough information to be a successful behavioral therapist. Tune in as Nancy urges her to connect with other people in her field and set herself up for success in her new position by being honest and inquisitive with her bosses.

Today’s first inspirational guest is Brandon Ludolph, a recovering alcoholic. After getting divorced from his ex-wife and being single for the first time since he was 17 years old, Brandon spiraled into depression and drank frequently. Hear how his strong support system helped him to get back on his feet after relapsing and facing liver damage.

Our last caller, Jake, struggles with depression following the death of his close friend, Ian. While his mother and friends are a strong support system for him, he wishes he could open up to his father about his feelings. Find out how Nancy guides him through sharing his thoughts with his parents and to keep Ian’s memory alive.

Many people are afraid of asking for help because they think it means admitting that something is wrong. However, there is no shame in seeking aid when we need it, and no need to face tough times alone. It may seem easier to sweep your troubles under the rug, but asking for help will give you the freedom to live your life full out.
