Season 2, Episode 13: Evaluation is an integral part of life. We make flash judgements every day and make decisions based off of those judgements, whether it’s choosing an outfit in the mornings or deciding which career to pursue. However, when we ourselves are evaluated by others, it can be easy to take things personally and get offended. By harnessing the suggestions given to us, we can make changes in life for the better.

Today’s first caller, RJ, is seeking networking opportunities as his college graduation approaches. Listen as Nancy reminds him that every person he meets could provide a new opportunity and that he has the skills to confidently pursue that profession.

Our second caller, Cornelius, recently lost his house, is living in his car, and is seeking motivation while feeling lost. Hear how Nancy encourages him to allow himself to grieve and to keep his passion for his business alive.

Today’s motivational guest, Robdarius Brown (aka RobenX) grew up being bullied because of his albinism. After a failed suicide attempt at seven, and being attacked by bullies at the age of nine, he started homeschooling, where he discovered his passion for music. Tune in to Robdarius’ story of how he channeled his emotions into his songs, became a YouTube sensation, and hopes to use his music to help other kids the way that Eminem’s music saved him.

Our last caller, Lara, is a survivor of sexual violence and is now hesitant to open up emotionally in her new relationship. Hear how Nancy suggests using her love of poetry to express her emotions in a healthy way and positively impacting others through sharing her experience.

We live in a society that is fundamentally based on evaluation. This criticism can be given in the workplace, or by family and friends. However, it is important to remember that most criticism is given to us in hopes of helping us improve as people. Learning to take evaluation gracefully is a valuable asset in learning to live life full out.
