(00:02):
This week, we're gonna be coveringthe hot new game right now on PlayStation
and on PC right now, whichis Hell Divers two, the three third
person action survival shooter that has reallytaken everything by storm right now. This
was a hit that just came outof nowhere, and we're gonna be breaking
(00:23):
down kind of looking at the differentaspects of it. I'm your host,
Isaiah, I'm Dragon Master Jake, and this is Locked Loot. Of course,
this is also a live show, which means, you know, if
you're catching us in the archive eitheron YouTube or on Spotify, check us
out on Twitch. Otherwise, youknow you're you're here, you're live with
(00:48):
us, you're seeing it. We'regonna open it actually off with the trailer
that they gave, which I thinkplayed a bit into this. The trailer
was fantastic, so we've actually gotit here. So we're gonna be taking
a look at this first. We'llposit throughout it. But let's super earth
(01:19):
our whole prosperity. Liberty by there, democracy, our way of life now.
Hello, but freedom doesn't come freedomsweet liberty. Okay, We're gonna
(01:46):
posit there, because what's so greatabout this is that it was structured.
It structured like a propaganda video, right, which is great when you go
for the kind of game that Helldiverses look familiar. Scenes like these are
(02:10):
happening all over the galaxy right now. You could be next. That is,
unless you make the most important decisionof your life. Prove to yourself
that you have the strength and thecourage to be free. Join the Hell
(02:31):
Divers, become part of an elitepeacekeeping force. Let you see exotic new
lifeforms and spread managed democracy throughout thegalaxy. Become a hero, become a
(02:57):
legend, Become a Helldiver. Soyeah, Hell is a wake up court?
Why is it auto playing? Stuffwe're borrowing from YouTube real quick?
(03:17):
So, like the trailer played apart of this. And actually while we're
going, we're gonna be having somebackgrounds of Hell Divers. Go just fix
the audio for everybody. We're gonnabe having some background footage of that going.
I'm just fixing that too. Thisgame was fantastic, is fantastic.
(03:38):
Like when it first came out,I was kind of iffy about it.
You know, it's not my styleof game in all honesty. Normally it's
action packed. There's so much goingon. The stratagems are phenomenal. Before
we get into anything major, we'relets you know the structure that way,
you know how we're going about this. First, we're gonna be talking about
(04:01):
kind of the release and why itwas a success that came out of nowhere.
Then we're gonna be breaking down someof the gameplay elements, and then
of course we're gonna be touching onthe story. Don't worry you, lovers
of democracy. We will be reportingto the Ministry of Truths re Education Center
after discussing it. He's talking aboutme. So let's just get into it.
(04:27):
We showed you the trailer. Let'sget into it. So, first
of all, the release, thisthing came out of nowhere. Now.
Hell Divers Won was a game releasedin twenty fifteen. It was a mild
success for Arrowhead Studios and for Sony, which holds the IP and first and
it was a top down survival shooter. Survival shooter is the correct term.
(04:51):
It played sort of like Helldivers whereyou're trying to complete objectives, but it
was top down instead of third person, and I think that contributed to buy
It didn't do as well that andyou know, Arrowheads, a smaller production
team and all of that. Yeah, but even them being a smaller production
team this game, they did aphenomenal job on it. They put so
(05:12):
much work into this game, it'sphenomenal. They completely reinvented Hell Divers for
this. Going into Hell Divers two, from Hell Divers, you have this
feeling that there's so much love putinto it. They took the stuff that
worked from Hell Divers one and putit into Hell Divers. Who turned into
third person added to the action, and the team based cooperativeness of it all
(05:34):
is just phenomenal. Now back tothe release, It released on PlayStation and
PC and SIN. Yeah. Sincethe day of release. Since the day
of release, the Hell Divers communityhas been calling for it to be released
(05:56):
on Xbox. We need the odsts, we do honestly, we need the
two hundred thousand people that would hopinto this game on Xbox. I honestly
think there at some point they probablywill, but they have to make sure
that their servers can handle adding anadditional two hundred and fifty thousand to three
(06:18):
hundred thousand players. See, andI'm on the other spectrum, I don't
think it's gonna happen. I don'tthink an Xbox release is going to happen
for Hell Divers. I think uhPlayStation doesn't see a reason to put it
onto Xbox because it's a massive success. You know, the console exclusivity and
(06:40):
all of that is a massive successfor them. I just don't think it's
gonna happen. Well, the thingis it being a console exclusive, but
they also released it on PC.More people would probably look at just building
a PC than buying a PlayStation becauseyou can do more with the PC.
Yeah, at that point, Imean I've been looking at building a PC
(07:04):
and getting Hell Divers. Of courseI would probably play it with an Xbox
controller because I don't know keyboard ofmouse controls. But yeah, kind of.
The release was actually really well done, which is phenomenal. The game
released in a completed state. Itwasn't a buggy mess. It came out,
it was great. And then ofcourse there were some server issues of
(07:27):
course, because you know, Arrowheadwas not prepared for this. They weren't
prepared for a million plus players allat once. I heard discussions around it
that at the time Arrowhead had probablybeen expecting about a concurrent player base equivalent
to Hell Divers one, which wasten thousand, they're looking at about seven
(07:49):
hundred and fifty thousand, probably fourhundred and fifty thousand on PC, maybe
two hundred thousand on a PlayStation.Sounds fair and that's I think right now.
When the first came out, Ithink they peaked near a million,
probably, I don't actually have thenumbers in front of me, but like
Hell Divers sold three million copies onPC alone. Yeah, this game sold
(08:13):
and it's a massive success. Thelive service model that it uses is phenomenal.
Now most people hear live service andthey go youw live service, monetization,
micro transactions. How Hell Divers didit in their war bonds is fantastic
because what they did is they're likeweapon progression everything. The free war Bond
(08:35):
will have all the weapons you need. The premium war Bond will essentially have
the same weapons but different skins onthem. On top of that, we're
making the premium currency. You canbuy it with war bonds, so you
can get the premium currency and youcan find it in game. Yeah,
and that is something that is amazing. I mean, I think EA could
(08:58):
learn something from that, but somany companies can learn something from that model
of this is how we're doing it. This is how we go about micro
transactions because you don't have to payfor it if you don't want to.
On top of that, the premiumwar bonds, you know, most premium
tracks are like, oh, youneed to pay it to get what to
(09:20):
get the most out of it,you know, the premium track always has
more than the base track. Andnot only that, but having it set
up where it doesn't affect your actualgameplay. It's visual effects is phenomenal because
I mean, then everybody is playingwith the same equipment. It's not one
(09:41):
of those pay to win type situations. Yeah, and it's just oh,
I like the way his gun looks. I'm gonna yeah, and it's not
tying into like stratagems do not comefrom war bonds, the major part of
the game. The stratagems do notcome from war bonds, which is nominal.
You spend just regular currency in gameto get it. Yeah, And
(10:05):
that's that is an amazing way todo things, just because it allows both
veteran players that have been playing sinceit started and new players to be able
to come in work their way upthrough killing bugs and which is what a
lot of people are doing, isthey They spend a lot of time killing
(10:28):
the bugs to get leveled so thatway they can go play with the veterans.
Yeah. And so in the releasestructure, how they're doing the war
bonds and most of the content beingin the free war bond. Yeah,
and you can get premium currency throughthat. In fact, I've got like
nine hundred and seventy I've almost gotenough premium currency to get the premium just
(10:52):
from gameplay alone, which that thatis a great way of setting things up.
I mean, being able to getthe battle pass just from playing the
game is awesome. It's a greatway of getting people to continue playing your
game, as well as to playit more often. Yep. So moving
(11:16):
on from the release because the releasewas handled so well and they keep updating,
which is fantastic. Let's get intosome of this gameplay. So I've
got some gameplay going here, andlet me actually turn the monitor. I
need to be able to see it. Yeah, so we've got some gameplay
going. One. The game looksamazing. Graphics are just enough where it's
(11:43):
like everything looks realistic and everything looksreally well done. Now, visuals are
phenomenal. In this game between capestattering with time. The game is so
cinematic, like you would think halfthe stuff you see about Hell Divers was
staged in some way. I mean, there's some things that can give it
(12:09):
away that it is a I meanI've seen players get ragged all across the
map. Yeah, but but thegame is so cinematic in the way that
it plays the main systems. It'sa third person shooter with stratagems that you
call in. You can see Ijust pulled it up there. There's some
if you're on the visual if not, you know, it's your things like
(12:31):
resupplies, airstrikes, orbit, bombardments, weapons, equipment. Different things are
called in from orbit, and Imean they're great. The strata jumps are
really cool on their effects. Ihate how they get entered in. So
they did something very interesting for theentering and anybody who's played Hell Divers and
has seen Hell Divers you essentially haveto enter the Konami code, in which
(12:54):
I understand that. But for me, i've played it, I've only been
able to play a couple of times. I don't own a PlayStation or a
PC powerful enough to play it.I would love to play more, but
I wouldn't want to play it onPlayStation. Just the how you call in
(13:16):
your stratagems on the D pad nextto your movement stick drives me nuts.
That is a format of the controller. As some this is an issue with
the controller, not the game.We had a discussion about this because the
controller format for the PlayStation with thethe I literally just picked up a Nintendo
(13:39):
controller and Nintendo yeah, so evenNintendo has brought up the the left stick
should be at the top and theright stick should be at the bottom because
that is ergonomical, and the playstations where both thumbsticks are down here as
(14:03):
a as a player who played Nintendo, as a player who played Xbox.
When I came to PlayStation, honestly, it was kind of returning to my
roots because we started Yeah, wegrew up PlayStation PlayStation, but it's still
it was not as comfortable as Xboxor Sony, which makes it so much
more difficult to call in the stratagems. Yeah, because with this kind of
(14:26):
controller, if you needed to callin a stratum with a dpad, you
can. You can still move andthen use your right hand to do it.
With that one, you either haveto churn your hand. I call
in stratagems like this, I haveto hold I have to use my right
hand over the left stick and myleft hand on the I'm sorry, left
(14:48):
hand on the right stick, righthand on the D pad. Because you
have to hold L one and hitthe D pad for your stratagems while moving.
It is just no, not efficienton the PlayStation controller. I honestly
think that's why a lot of timesPC actually does better in this. Yeah,
because I'm betting you just bind thekey your arrow keys to your stratagems
(15:13):
or create a macro and then useW A S D as your movement.
Yeah, which is pretty standard personally, because I don't know. Like I
said before, I don't know thekeyboard and mouse very well. I would
probably pair it up with an Xboxcontroller, which I mean, I think
(15:35):
I do fairly well on it.I haven't gotten the chance to try it,
but I would love to. Yeah. So, moving from just the
standard visuals and the controller layout thatstratagems that drive me nuts, the variety
of stratagems is phenomenal, between weaponequipment, air strikes or little bombardments.
(15:58):
It's great. I mean, asyou can see in the gameplay footage,
you can get a flying drone thatshoots stuff for you. Yeah, there's
so many different ways and so manydifferent different styles of play. You know,
you can play a support player whereyou're carrying the ammunition for the team.
(16:18):
You can play the medic where you'recarrying all the stems. You can
be the damage dealer, you cancarry a bunch of gatling guns. There's
so much that you can do.But setting it up where you're as a
playing as a team makes a lotof sense when you have a group of
people that you know, because thenyou're not relying on other people that you
(16:41):
don't know in the game. Let'sdiscuss the multiplayer because that's important because this
is a multiplayer first game. Yeah, games designed and the game is designed
and balanced for a team of four, which that's kind of a standard when
it comes to a lot of games. I mean, you look at Halo
(17:02):
or I think call it Duty. Some of theirs is four v four's.
My crew are Xbox players. Mycrew are Xbox players, which means they
have not been able to join meon Hell Divers. I have been having
to get into games with Rando's.Honestly, though, the randos are so
cool, which that's the best partis the community that they've built in this
(17:27):
game is amazing. Everybody. Ifyou are planning on playing with a group
of people, even if they arerandos, you can still set it up
where you all take particular roles. But there's a lot of times where you
can get stuck by yourself, soyou have to be able to plan for
that where you end up by yourselfand you have to fight your way through.
(17:51):
Yeah, as a solo player,I find myself alone a lot,
which is why I haven't been ableto get into like hell dive difficulty.
And moving moving from stratagems to themultiplayer, the community that they built,
I have no idea how this communitysprung up so fast. Well, not
only that, but you don't justhave x you don't even you don't just
(18:14):
have PlayStation in PC. Being inthis community, you have Xbox players as
the uh super what are they called? Oh, the community calls them super
citizens. Yes, because we arewaiting to be called in. We want
to We want it to be puton Xbox because you know, Xbox players
(18:36):
playing Halo and other similar gameplay stylesare ready for it. They Xbox would
be amazing with this game. Yeah. One comment I want to make here
is how did Sony release a betterODST game then, right, Xbox in
the year of Our Lord twenty twentyfour. Now, before you get into
(19:00):
me and say, Halo Odist wasfantastic, Yeah, but it felt like
a Halo game. Right. Ifwe wanted a true ODST style game,
it would be something like Hell Divers. Oh yeah, phenomenal. Honestly.
Heck, Microsoft, go to Arrowheadand ask them to build it to make
(19:21):
an ODST game, give them thehay three four three, go to go
to them and say, hey,we want a first person shooter in the
style of Hell Divers for Halo.Yes, bring back the ODSDS that and
I'm like it. PlayStation did abetter, better one than them. Okay,
(19:42):
Moving from the multiplayer. Also, one small fact before we move on,
can we talk about the friendly fire. This is a friendly fire enabled
full time game, which is awesome, especially because then you've got those traders
(20:02):
to democracy that decide to kill theirteam constantly. They get hunted down.
Yes, like traders are not acceptedin the Hell Divers. You go through
and you kill your entire team, you will be hunted down. Here especially
if there is video evidence of it, if you purposely kill. We understand
(20:26):
that friendly fire incidents happen, especiallywhen you're calling an airstres five hundred kills.
When you're dealing with these kind ofordinances we and you've got automatic guns
going. We understand that friendly firehappens. But on the other side of
it, we have people that theywill their entire purpose is to attack their
(20:48):
own team, which I mean, like I said, they are traders to
democracy and they will be hunted downas such. Yeah, okay, weapons
primary weapons. You pretty much gotMarshman rifles, shotguns and assault rifles,
and of course, I mean yougotta go with the shotguns when you're fighting
(21:10):
the bugs. Dude. Shotguns areso good. That's all I have to
say. Shotguns are so good. The Breaker was top tier forever before they
nerved it, and now we've gotthe Punisher. Now people are being slow
to pick up the Punisher. Iunderstand that it's a pump shotgun. I'm
although I'm like, I'm here forthe punisher. The Punisher is fantastic.
(21:36):
I mean, you look at it. Pump action shotguns they've been I mean,
that's where pretty much where you getslam fire shotguns from Yep. They're
useful and that's that's I love itbecause people are like, it's a pump
action shotgun. Fun fact, youcan fire this thing like a slam fire
(21:56):
shotgun exactly if you tie it right. In fact, I think if I
fast forward this video, I'm usingthis one, I'm using the breaker,
So I'm just fast forwarding to thenext match when I would be using it
because people complain, but this gunis that's the auto cannon. Also,
can we talk about the tank tanks? Bots have tanks? Okay? Sorry,
(22:21):
aside from that, I'm getting distracted. Yah, Okay. So the
different kinds of shotguns are phenomenal,Your secondaries are great, and your requisition
options for stratagems are cool too.Between disposable rocket launchers, auto cannons,
marksman anti material rifles, grenade launchers, flame throwers, you've got everything for
(22:41):
everybody. And not only that, but I mean you need to the best
part about it is stuff like that. You don't necessarily have to sit there
and fire tons of ammunition into somewhere. Just drop a just drop an airstrike
autum Yeah, call it good. And when they're when you're being surrounded by
(23:06):
a bunch of hordes. I've dealtwith that. With the bugs, just
drop your auto cannon, I meanyou And not only that, but then
you have a pretty much chain fedmachine gun that you just light them up.
The weaponry is topp tier. AndI think another aspect of the gameplay
(23:26):
to go into that's really well doneis the differences in the wars. We
have two wars going on in HellDivers. You have the fight against the
bots and the fight against the bugs, and they play completely differently. You
use completely different weaponry with them, different weaponry, different tactics, I mean,
(23:47):
and remember bugs can't fly, soand they're totally different. So the
fun fact we consider like the terminansis what they're called, which is the
bugs. They're like your easy mub. They're pretty easy to kill, except
for when you start getting up indifficulty and you start dealing with armored and
big bugs and chargers and the like. Just drop your friend on them.
(24:10):
Yeah, that works. But thebugs are considered significantly easier to deal with
than the bots. That's because thebots have guns. The bots shoot back,
yeah, I mean, well thebugs spit acid at you. Yeah,
but that takes time. To chargeup, they have to be at
closer range. Bots will just you'rejust under fire. And the visual differences
(24:34):
between the maps where you're fighting botsand where you're fighting bugs is fantastic.
So the bugs have this alien hivekind of feel to their worlds, and
they almost seem like a dried desert. Yeah, usually something out of Starship
Troopers. Yeah, and it's it'sreally cool to see. I mean you
get the almost like a sandstorm typescenario coming through while you're fighting a horde
(24:59):
of bugs. And then you lookat the the bots. They have a
wide variety of maps. I meanyou've got massive jungles that are completely covered
in a blue fog, to likehere where it's are you trying to give
me my leve Alone Creek? Andflash back was that the Creek boys?
(25:22):
I remember the creek. And thenyou've got places like here where it almost
seems like a farmland or a remoteresearch outpost. But the bots area always
look like a bombed out hellscape. No matter where you are, it's bombed
out. You can be in thejungles it's been set on fire. They
(25:45):
the two differences, like the jungleson the bugs that look fine you have
some visual issues when you deal withlike sports viewers, that kind of thing,
But overall, the bugs have alighter feel to them. Yeah,
when you first go from bugs tobots, it is terrifying. Oh yeah,
(26:07):
wasn't it just this morning that youhad some two This is the video
that we have going. These twoboys that joined me here their cadets level
sixes, and their equipment was notready for the bot fight. Their equipment
they were set up to fight thebugs. They were completely set up to
fight the bugs, which gattling airstrikes that doesn't do pretty much anything against
(26:30):
the bots. Yeah, and youcan see I'm like, I've got my
I've got my punisher, I've gotan autocannon. I've got the stuff I
need to fight the bots. Andat least they were they were able to
make sure that eventually they could getthe equipment when he when he would get
when he would die, they wouldrun over and grab his gun because they
(26:52):
knew that worked better. The punisherworked better than the liberator because the punisher
has the ability to pierce arm andthe auto canon was really good at dealing
with large things. Overall, Ilove the gameplay. It's fluid, it's
action packed, it's stressful, it'sa battlefield. Yeah, and it does.
(27:15):
It feels like a battlefield. Imean, it would be interesting.
I would love to be a spectatorin uh VR with this game, just
to see what it would look like. That would be awesome. So much
to this game. Now the otherbit to cover with this game and its
gameplay as a whole, it won'tMoving from the gameplay, let's talk about
(27:37):
the story because there's not a lothere. There's not a lot of story
here, yeah, because I meanthe last game was on the Cyborgs.
Yeah, and I think the Bugsagain, the Bugs were at war with
both of them. Just like thisgame. You're still at war with the
Bug. Plus you had the Illuminateand another faction that I'm still not sure
(27:59):
about studying enough, but you wereat war with four different factions. You're
Super Earth, You're trying to spreaddemocracy and then you're taking a look and
you're like, there's something weird goingon. We're being lied to. This
is propaganda because in the Bug worlds, you'll go to like a research outpost
(28:22):
or something that you're supposed to destroyand you take a look around, and
the people weren't killed by bugs. They have bullet holes. You don't see
scratch marks, you don't see anydead bugs. They were not killed by
bugs. There's something super Earth isnot telling the hell Divers. Well why
(28:44):
would they? You need to goback to the re education camps, right,
pure managed democracy, all of that. I'm not a trader, I
swear, I like I said, after we talk about the story, we
will be moving to the re educationcamps to of course get it correct.
But there's something going on. There'ssomething super Earth isn't telling us, and
(29:08):
that could just be you need toknow basis kind of thing. But this
game has does developed a procedurally generatedstory. Not procedurally but what's the term?
What when it's developed by the player'sin game? Oh, community,
community based story. I don't likeit. Progressive story. I can't remember
(29:32):
the term. It was a bigthing in like the nemesisism, that kind
of thing where the stories you makein game become the story. So,
I mean, when you look atit, it's interesting because as far as
the story goes, you're at warwith these Even in the first game,
you were at war with these fourfactions. But if I remember right,
(29:55):
you were at war with the bugsbecause they're a good fuel source. Yeah,
they're they are a great fuel source. What the bugs are is that
they're I think it's the acids.Their acids can be used for either crowdstasis
or hyperdrive, which I mean, why does that sound American? They have
(30:21):
oil. You can't get more patrioticthan fighting the bugs for oil, right,
No, the patriotism runs deep withthis game. But the story progressing
in the way that it has,and like the differences that we run on,
like the Battle of Malevlon Creek orthe massacre at Malevlon Creek is what
(30:44):
it's being known as because of howdeadly it was. It's iconic in the
player base, and it's like itis part of our story. Malevlon Creek,
Space Vietnam is our story. Thefighting on Malevlon Creek that where most
planets fell within day's Malevolon Creek heldfor weeks, and then the fight with
(31:07):
the bugs where we're like like thefight with the bugs where we're like,
okay, we need to take theplant. We spent all this time trying
to take a rat of prime andtaking that sector and like, okay,
that failed, they invaded, Let'smove the Major Orders have added to this
and it helps to have a humanbeing running the other side of the war.
Yes, I mean, I gottasay the creators and Joel have been
(31:30):
doing an amazing job with this game. I still say Joel is a trader
Democracy Yes, Joe, So Joelis the game mastery. They came out
with it after they didn't tell usthat this was going on until after the
game was going on for I thinktwo weeks. They like, By the
way, how we run the gameis we have this guy Joel. He
(31:51):
acts as game master for the game. And I don't know if Joel has
an entire team or not, buthe needs an entire team. He would
have to run to run all theseI mean, you have how many different
missions on how many different planets?Well, missions are procedurally generated, Yeah,
but they would have to set itup for he would have to be
(32:12):
working with somebody on the Bugs andon the machines as well as when they
released the new faction. Yeah, and the Major Orders. Honestly, Joel
needs a break. He is doinga phenomenal job of like this back and
forth fight for Super Earth, Likewe pushed the Bugs back to a sector
and it's like our last major orders. Apparently we have like sterilization procedures for
(32:36):
planets that we use. We essentiallydeployed bug spray into the atmosphere. Oh,
I was thinking you just glassed theplanet. No, we essentially put
bug spray in the atmosphere. Imean, how else do you deal with
bugs? But it worked, sowe progressed through. You had the addition
for the max that they added. That's like, no, we need to
(33:00):
defend this planet or the mechs willbe delayed. We defended it within hours.
And the best part is, Imean even with the setup they're introducing
the mechs, you have to beat level fifty to get to these mechs.
So you have to earn those mechs. You cannot buy them. You
(33:20):
earn these. And the progression inthis game is on another level. I
mean, the progression feels so goodbecause it's not like the other games where
the progression is like we want toget you a sense of satisfaction. The
progression is natural. It's like,as you get more experienced with the game,
you will get better equipment. Yeah, And I mean as you move
(33:43):
forward, you can get drones fivehundred kilogram bombs. Right, I'm just
gonna drop something here and yeah, everything gets vaporized. Yeah. So there's
so much that's being added to thegame. It's so well done. And
the fact that even after what isthis game's been released for what about a
(34:05):
month? Two months now, they'reabout and they're still keeping a very large
player base. I want to see. I'm hoping after six months the player
base is still just as big, because that shows that this game is gonna
they're gonna keep adding to this gameand it's gonna get even better. And
they have. It's been so welldone. I cannot give enough praise to
(34:30):
Hell Divers. I mean, I'veseen a couple of visual issues, especially
when when there's some people that willtake and kill a bug with their extraction
and it kind of bugs it wherethe bug just stays standing up like nothing
(34:53):
happened, but it's dead, like, But those visual glitches don't take anything
from the game, right, thatand the like what are they called the
Schizophrenia update. Apparently there was anissue where bugs would respond that you'd be
fighting, a charger would be rushing, You're about to die and then it
despawns. So people calls it theSchizophrenia update, the or the PTSD update.
(35:21):
But there's so much in this game, and the missions are so different,
you know, between launching ICBMs fromdownloading supplies, killing, killing so
many people, destroying bases, thatkind of thing scientists. Yeah, there
are so many different kinds of missionsthat it keeps it fresh. And the
map's being procedurally generated. People wouldtake that as a bad thing, but
(35:43):
the map design is still really welldone. They have some phenomenal rules put
in place for their map design.I don't know what they are, but
they're great. As far as thegame being ran, Arrowhead is doing a
magnific job. Oh yeah, andthey they did an amazing job on this
(36:04):
game. I really hope to seeit come on Xbox as well as on
I hope Microsoft goes to Arrowhead aboutmaking some games, because why not if
you find a company that's making agood game, go to them. The
whole between PlayStation, Xbox buying upthe different game manufacturers, they they should
(36:32):
just go to different games, tothese different groups. Don't buy them,
just go to them and say, hey, we want this, we want
to build a game. Okay, what's your final verdict with Hell Divers?
I have not played enough to determinehow well it is. I love it.
I'm considered one of those super citizensthat is waiting for it to come
(36:53):
on Xbox see that, or I'llsee if I can build a PC to
play it on. Now. Ialways judge games on a scale of one
to ten, five being average. There's a reason for that, and if
you've seen any of how I judgegames in the past. I do not
(37:15):
give this lightly. I think Igave what game was it? I think
I gave bald Baldersgate and eight outof ten. I do not give this
lightly when I say this game, well, actually no, we never reviewed
balders Gate. I give balders Gatein nine point five. But you're a
DM, so I'm a GM.I can appreciate all of the love that
(37:38):
went into the dungeons and dragons, but that's a side. Honestly, hell
Divers' game in the year. Oh, I would love to see him make
Game of the Year. It looksabsolutely amazing, best multiplayer, best action
or best action maybe best game overall. The score is the phenomenal. I
(38:01):
gotta give this this is It's nota perfect game, Like you said,
there are some visual arrows well, not just the visual errors. I mean,
like I said, I haven't playedenough to actually determine what I would
rate it. I mean, asit sits right now, I would say
probably a seven or eight. AsI play it more, it would probably
(38:22):
increase because I would get to knowthe controls better and know the equipment and
everything else, and it would bea great way of learning the game for
me. But as it sits,I don't have a PlayStation. I don't
have a PC strong enough to playit. I would love to, and
(38:43):
eventually I'm hoping to get to thatpoint, but for right now, I
could not make an accurate assumption.Yeah, I give it a nine nine
or nine point five. This gameis amazing. If you have a PlayStation
and you do not have Hell Divers, go get Hell Divers. He sorry,
(39:07):
I don't think it's hell It's HellDiver, not Hell Diverse. Hell
Diver two. Go get Hell Diver. Let me actually check. I think
it's Hell Diver. I just seeit as it's Hell Diverse. So go
get Hell Diverse too if you don'thave it. This is a must play,
and like I said, I've playedit a couple of times. It
(39:29):
is a very fun game. Ihate the PlayStation controls, but I mean,
to be fair, I was kindof mean because I think I threw
you into a medium mission. Well, the first mission you threw me into.
I kind of just walked up shotthe objective, and mainly because you
told me shoot it and then youtold me to run and I kept shooting
(39:52):
it. Yeah, it was abug extermination and I'm like, shoot it,
kill it, and I'm like,oh, after he killed it,
I'm like, that was the Brookecomander. Well, it was just funny
because it's charging me and he's hetells me to run, and I'm like,
you told me to shoot it,So I just kept shooting it.
Do both run and shoot it?Like I said, I think, I
(40:15):
honestly think that for me the gamewould probably be a lot more fun on
PC. At this point, it'dbe a lot more fun on PC than
it would be on PlayStation. Andthat's just because of control issues. I
don't like the controllers on PlayStation. He doesn't like the PlayStation controllers. I
can appreciate the PlayStation controllers. Istill would like an Xbox style controller.
(40:35):
I mean, I gotta say thePlayStation's feed haptic feedback and that kind of
stuff is amazing. Ergonomically, itsucks, and that's our verdict. Hell
divers too. He gave it,he gave it a I cannot decide what
it is. Yeah, I can't. I don't have the experience. I
give it a nine. I giveit a nine to nine point five Game
(40:58):
of the year material phenomenal, especiallyfor a game that came out of nowhere,
right, And not only that, but I if we were if I
remember, it took it took Sonyby surprise. I mean it outsold some
of their best games. It justoutsold God of War. Yeah, on
(41:22):
PC, which that's phenomenal. Ireally hope that they release it on Xbox
at some point, and if theydo so, I honestly think that it
would go even further as far asnumber of copies sold. I think it
could hit the point of beating arecord somewhere. Yep. Overall, this
(41:46):
is a must play game. Gopick it up if you haven't already,
keep playing. Get back in therefor Democracy. But that's everything that we've
got from here. Reporting from superEarth High Command. I'm your host,
Isaiah, asked dragon Master Jacob. And remember, we'll be going to re
(42:06):
education and bugs can't fly. Yes, we're lougging up
