(00:00):
Another fabulous week is getting started andwe are well starting out strong. I
mean it's been a minute since we'vebeen able to record. Between studio moves,
my illnesses, and every other thingthat's happened during the summer, we
just have not been able to recordthis summer. I do not know why.

(00:20):
But we are back and everything looksfairly nice. We're still getting things
organized and set up, so thattakes a minute, but eventually we'll have
our full studio done and be ableto record really easily. Yep. So
once we get everything set up,it's gonna be a whole lot nicer of

(00:42):
an environment for recording. We're nothere to talk about our recording issues and
everything that's going on here at Lockchloo. We're here to talk about the new
Magic set, because this set iscoming out wrong. And of course when
I say this set, I amreferring to loom Borough, which just finished
Spoilers yesterday, and so we finallyhave a full cart images. We we're

(01:08):
actually ahead of the ballgame because wenormally record this the week of pre release,
and he comes out after pre release, so we made it early because
pre releases next week. Now loomBorough a little bit of a different magic
set. This set itself is designedaround anthropomorphic animals. They are trying to

(01:32):
get that furry demographics. Well,Jake is so excited for those words in
the set. I'm excited for allthe bullshit that's coming. You're just excited
about the birds Mono bird deck.My tribal birds will come back with a
vengeance. It will be powerful.I can't wait to build the tribal birds.

(01:53):
But there's other things I want toget, flying squirrels. So,
as you as usual, we're actuallybreaking well actually no, not as usual.
We are breaking format here at LockedLoop. We will not be discussing
the story the story of Bloomborough, because I think the story of Bloomborough is
something you should experience for yourself. That and I don't think it was the
strongest story. So as Drake messeswith his mic as I get everything ready,

(02:17):
I'm your Gia, I'm the gamemaster Isaiah, I'm dragging master Jake,
and this is Locked Loop Bloomborough.Let's start where we usually start,
which is with cycles. Now,there's a few cycles in this set.
We're only gonna talk about one ofthem. I believe maybe two. We

(02:38):
are going to be talking about No, we're gonna be talking about two.
We're gonna be talking about the seasonsand the talents. So I'm about to
pull up some cards here, butstarting with the seasons. The seasons is
a series of sorceries coming out inthis set with that are supposed to be
very versatile. It's supposed to fitwith like the whole animal kingdom thing and

(03:02):
different different seasons for different things. So I'm just pulling up some cards here.
I don't know why it's taking sohere. So we're starting, of
course, season of the Borough fiveman of Sorcery. Choose up to five
worth of mouths. I don't knowwhat that's supposed to be called. I'm

(03:23):
calling it pap prints. You canchoose them more than once. So essentially
you've got five points to spend onthis, and that's the thing with all
of these, you will have fivepoints to spend. You'll have one that's
three, one that's two to one, that's one. So in theory,
this can either make five to oneone white rabbits, or it can exile
to permanent nonline permanence and then createa rabbit, or you can return a

(03:47):
permanent with a man of value threeor less from your graveyard to the battlefield.
So when I say this thing hasits options, it definitely has options
there. Personally, I don't thinkthe seasons are the strongest things in the
set, or of the most interestingthings in the set. They're not gonna
be causing any problems the most interesting. There's some far better cards in the

(04:10):
set, So I am going tobe just moving on. We're just gonna
go through the seasons real quick. After the Season of Burrow, we have
the season of Weaving. This oneis more interesting. Six man of Sorcery.
First one is draw card, whichin theory means you could draw five
cards for six manut that's not abad change considering how much card draw usually

(04:32):
costs, So five cards for sixminute isn't bad. It's not the greatest,
but it's something. Or you canchoose an artifact you control and create
a token copy of it artifact orcreature, so it could be a Sehillies
artistry if you wanted it to,and then draw card, so it's a
better Sahilles artistry. Return each noton that token permanent to its owner's hand.

(05:00):
Land non token. I mean thisis a board clear three mana.
I draw two cards and I bounceeverything every non token that I go.
It's interesting that this doesn't hit tokens, so it well with simic tokens because
it doesn't hit tokens, which isstill kind of weird. So it's really

(05:21):
bad to use against a token deckyep. Of course, the next one
of the course, Season of theBold, choose up to five worth once
again five mana, create a treasuresso you can create five treasures, so
refund the spell EXI the top twocards of your library until the end of
Turney may play them until the endof your next turn. Whenever you cast

(05:42):
a spell, Season the Bold dealstwo damage up to one target creature.
This is interesting because this is astorm payoff. I mean it is what
I see. It is a stormpayoff. It's not much more than that,
because it's like, yeah, norespell that does two damage, so
I'm storm if I storm off,I can use this. Other than that,

(06:03):
it's not very interesting. I thinkthe seasons could have been a whole
lot better. Honestly, I thinkseasons should have been enchantments, because you
know, they're seasons, yeah, but they also have a set of enchantments.
We'll be talking about the second. Those are fun, really interesting for
the talents because they're doing something different. The last one, of course,
is Season of Loss. Bye manon. Once again, each player sacrifices

(06:27):
a creature, so you can makeeach player sacrifice five creatures. You miss
Season of Gathering. We'll get toSeason of Gathering. I know, I
said it's the last one. We'restill getting used to the new format and
the new stuff. But Season ofLoss, Okay, each opponent loses x
life works as number of creature cardsin your graveyard dark card for each creature

(06:50):
your control that died this turn.So there's what you can do with this
is you can stack it. Youcan go, Okay, everybody's gonna sacrifice
three creatures and then I'm gonna drawthree cards. Yeah mhm, still not
still not what we want. I'mlike, the seasons are good in theory.

(07:10):
That's the problem. They're only goodin theory. Their execution has been
an issue. I don't like howthe execution is going, especially because these
are taking mythic slots. M hm. You're how disappointed it'll be for somebody
to pull a mythic and it's aseason. I mean, the blue one's

(07:32):
interesting if you're doing a token, because that would actually be useful tokens,
I said, but what was thisone? I don't remember. Season of
Gathering six mana five once again puta warm encounter on a creature, control
against vigilance and trample. In theend of turn five, creatures get plus
one plus one, gain vigilance, trample, choose an artifactor, enchantment,

(07:55):
destroy all permanence of the type.So this thing could in theory blow up
all artifacts in chat or enchantments andenchantments. Yeah, because it's it's two
costs, yeah, or three drawcards equals with great power among creatures you
control. It's just a green thing. Green does that all the time.
Green has other ways of doing it. Green has better ways of doing it.

(08:20):
The thing about these spells that they'regoing for is versatility. Oh yeah,
endgame versatility spells, and and it'slike, yeah, but what we
want in these versatility spells is spellsthat do something when it's early and get
more powerful later on. We'll betalking about that a little bit later after
we talk talent, because we gotto have some talents in here. Let

(08:48):
me just second, I'm finding thetalents dude, all right, let's start
our We'll serve artists talent. Howabout that, Let's start with the artist
talent and does not want to blowit just canna like that. It's all
right, artist talent. So Ilike the idea of talents. There we

(09:11):
go. They're expanding on classes classesthat were introduced in Balder's Gate. Now,
because the classes were introduced in Balder'sGate, they they played around that.
You know, you took the fighterclass, you took the cleric class.
Talents don't fit into that mold exactly, but I'm like, we understand
it. What they could have doneis they could have, instead of calling

(09:33):
them talents, made them classes andbeen like, this is the artist class.
This is the caretaker class. Soartists is the red one. It's
first level is whenever you cast anon creature spell, you made discard a
card. If you do drug sonot storm, pay up. And it

(09:54):
helps because you get to cycle throughyour cards, you get to feed your
deck. Just when you get torummag like this this is rummaging. Yes,
this is rummaging. Discarding in thedrawing and believe it's called rummaging.
Yeah, because drawing and the discardingis called looting. So when you're rummaging
like this, it can be usefulbecause you get a ditch what you don't
want and maybe draw what you want. And if you're storming off, you

(10:16):
can do that more than once fora two man of spell, it's an
all right effect. Then of courseyou can spend an extra three manus and
now all your non creatures cost oneless in red, which means this is
probably gonna go in a lot ofstorm decks. Having your spells cost less
is just good because you're gonna bestorming off and casting a lot of non

(10:37):
creatures. Then of course you canspend another three. If a source you
control would deal non combat damage toan opponent or permanent opponents, it deals
that much plus two. That's goodfor things like grape shot, anything that
does non combat damage. It yeah, as long as it's on the field,

(11:00):
which means technically total this thing iseight manna for those three effects.
But realistically you'll be doing that overthe course of multiple turns. So I
think it I think it kind ofleats itself, does itself out. What's
the next one, Jake, whatdo you want to talk about? Well,
let's go to the innkeeper's talent, innkeeper's talent, Yes, caretakers scavenging.

(11:28):
Where is it? It's the greenyou start, I'll find it.
Okay, So the innkeeper's talent says, let's see here, uh right,
gain the nexibility as a sorcery toadd in the additional ability, which is
the same thing as that. Butat the beginning of I'm bad on your

(11:52):
turn, a one to one counteron target creature you control doesn't seem like
it's going to do a whole lot. But like as I was saying,
the the abilities are meant to stack. So afterwards, you mean you after

(12:15):
a couple of turns, you puta bunch of counters on creatures, you
pay one permanents you control with awith a counter on them, have ward
what so? And that just specifiesa ward or that just specifies counter.
It doesn't have to be from this. Yeah, shield counters plus one plus
encounters. Now this is the thirdability. That's where it gets me,

(12:41):
because I mean it's it's a counterdoubler. Yeah, it is entirely a
counter doubler, and it goes onboth leans, walkers and creatures. Now
I want to talk about the manecostsof each of these, because this is
very interesting innkeepers talent just to getit to the second level is only one
matter, which means from a designintention, what they intend you to do

(13:05):
is cast this for two on yourthird churn and immediately level it. Yeah.
But but the thing is is ifyou level it the second an it
specifies that it only that the nextabilities are casteds Sorceries. Yeah, you
have to level up as sorcery, which means they intend for you to play

(13:28):
it turn two, level it,turn three, get something out as well
on turn three, and then turnfour level it fully. So that's just
it won't those reset every turn. This does not know so by sorcery what
it means it's at sorcery speed glasses. As you level up, you get

(13:52):
to keep it. You gain alevel as a sorcery to add its ability.
Nice. So yeah, so youget all of the abilities. Honestly,
I love the idea of classes, and my only thing is the naming
convention. Why did you call themtalents? Why not just call them innkeeper?
The class is innkeeper. It addssomething interesting, it's fun. You

(14:16):
know, what's your class? No, I'm playing an innkeeper of this game,
but I really like the idea ofpretty much having another doubling season for
your counters. This is nice. It's gonna help Salai in hilar decks,
my Faco Sparo deck, it's gonnahelp a lot, is gonna help my
token deck. What it'll do andwhat it really helps to do is fill

(14:39):
the niche that it needs to be. And these talents definitely help fill that
niche because we don't have too manyof those counter doublers, and counter doublers
are not inherently as strong as tokendubblers, and because they're not as strong
as token doublers, they don't gettargeted. Yeah, they got a chance
to sit stick on the battlefield untilcomes out the talk about the planes waters.

(15:03):
Let's talk about the carecaters. Youcan't taker's talent. Whenever one or
more tokens you control enter the battlefield, draw card disability triggers only one s
each churn. Firstability is a Takasiis welcome, Tacosti is welcome as a
three three uh manicost sorcery that justdoes that whenever one or more tokens enter

(15:26):
draw cards. This give those tokendecks to draw power that they need because
the issue with token decks is sooften they run out of gas. Yeah,
especially when you have somebody who hasa pipe bomb in their back pocket.
You're gonna get his banned again,on't you? No? How did
you phrase that deck? By turnfive? You have a pipe ball?

(15:50):
Yeah? ASHLINGK Well, let's let'sI'll say here, Ashling states You know,
Ashling, you gotta have the balls. As Moll puts it out as
he talks about Maldun, as Maldhoundon YouTube puts it, it takes some
serious balls to roll up to thetable with nothing but ninety nine mountains and
the ingredients for a pipe bomb.Yeah, we've played against it. Was

(16:15):
she taking it apart? Thank goodness? He would legitimately we would play against
my token deck. He would swordwipe every turn. We'll get into Ashling
later because it's an Ashling, anold Ashling the Pilgrim deck, and I
essentially started playing red control. Itwas rude. Let's go to level two.

(16:37):
You want to let me go off. This class becomes level two.
Create a token that's a copy oftarget token you control, which means what
for one man for one manner, you will create a token and draw card
and maybe double it pay four.Level three creature tokens you control get plus

(17:03):
two, plus two. There's allthe Honestly, this thing is less interesting
at level three than it is onevery other level. At level one,
you could just play this thing andlet it stick at level one, just
let it plays Cossie as well. Then yeah. Or you can be like
I got one man, I don'tknow what to spend it on. I'll
create a token, or I wantto make a copy. So that is

(17:29):
something you can easily do. Notonly that, but we've done this before.
We're doing a token life game deckthat was rude. We were able
to get it so we could copyour commander. There was one point I
ended up with fifteen copies of mycommander. We can't sit on this because
we haven't even gotten to the cardswe want to talk about. Let's go
to Scavenger's Talent. Whatever one ormore creatures you control die create a food

(17:52):
token. It's truck just once eachturn one man versus a squirrel that wants
food. Whenever you sat provice apermanent market player mills two guards Jake's like
eh. Level three, at thebeginning of your end step, you may
sacrifice three other permanents. If youdo return a car creature from your graveyard

(18:12):
to the battlefield with a finality mNow, if you're not familiar with finality
counters, something with finality counter, when it dies, it gets exiled.
Yeah, but you can remove thosecounters, and you can remove those counters,
you can blink the creature, youcan do any number of things.
You could even give the counter tosomebody else. Yeah. Overall, I

(18:33):
think this is one of the weakones. All it does is other than
that level two effect, which isa mill payoff for three manna. Whenever
you sacrifice a permanent target, playermills two cards. Graveyard decks are gonna
love this. That's just can bemean. You know, I'm gonna sack
fifteen cards you mill half your deck. Well, seem like Moltroth with with

(18:55):
that enchantment Aya's guile that lets youbring it back and just sack it over
and over again. Right, Soit's like this is this can be a
combo deck in Mouldrotha. This canbe a combo piece and some decks which
is nice, uh black token decks. This is a combo piece because you
sacrifice all those creatures that you've beencreating somebody mills out. Yeah. Last

(19:21):
talent talent is, of course thestorm Chasers talent. When I say last
talent, I mean we're not talkingabout the ones you get the Commander set,
because we don't really want to talkabout the Commander set too much.
Storm Chaser storm Chasers Talent one. When storm Chasing Talent enters create a one
one blue and red otter creature tokenwith prowess otter otter yep, interesting otter.

(19:48):
When this class becomes level two, return an instant sorcery from your graveyard
to your hand. We've seen thoseeffects a number of times for six holy
crap, six man at a levelthis thing, which means this thing takes
a total of eleven manna to fullylevel. Whenever you cast an instn or

(20:10):
sorcery spell, create a one onered otter. This is such a weak
effect for eleven manna, even ifit's over the course of multiple turns.
Just to get the whenever I casta spell, I get an otter that
a checked whenever you cast an ANSWER'ssorcery spell to just be on a random
creature. Because we have things likeit's not sol fire, grand Master's Monastery

(20:33):
mentor that does the exact same thingfor three manna. This thing is way
overcosted, all right, Jake. Those are the talents, Those are the
things that we really need to talkabout, like as far as cycles go,
because that's something we do. Wego through the cycles. It's the
most boring part of this set.The most interesting part of this set is
the other stuff, the random stuffthat we like to look at. Not

(20:59):
innkeeper, an innkeeper like this guythat has been driving the Magic community nuts
for the last few days. Maha, it's feathers night. It's an elemental
bird flying trample ward discard a cardfive manna six' five. So is
it big boy creatures your opponent's controlhave based toughness one? Sorry I was

(21:30):
I had seen some more talents inthe Commander stuff. Oh that's in the
Commander stuff. Het right there, mahat's Feather's night. This guy's been driving
the Commander like, not just theCommander community, because this guy can hear
Commander, which means we could seeMaha its feathers Night decks, which is

(21:51):
terrifying on itself. I don't wantto see a Maha feathers It's Feather's Night.
The throw shoot it's a right, that's fine. I just want less
echo that ability of its toughness. One in black causes so many problems because

(22:12):
now massacre girls in instac kill.Anything that hands out negative one negative one
counters is an instaki on your enemy'screatures. Jakes distracted because there might be
a dog that comes around. Honestly, this has been driving people now because
I was like, I don't wantto play against Maha. It's I mean,

(22:33):
it's a good for five manna.It's a strong effect, and I'm
okay with that. Have strong effect, a strong effect. But that's all
it is. It's very simple. What about you, Jake, any cards
you want to talk about, Uh, Lumar Bellow of the Woods. Oh

(22:56):
you want to talk about go ahead, Oh, it's I think the two
decks that I would love to buildis a squirrel token deck and a bare
deck. It would be fun tobuild bears, but Lumar below with woods
legendary creature, elemental bear vigilance andreach Lumar below the Woods. Power and

(23:18):
toughness are each equal to the numberof lands you control. When Lumar enters
the enters mil four cards then returnall land cards from your graveyard to the
Battlefield tapped. This is a funbut it's not a good card because all

(23:40):
it does is milt you and thenreturns your lands from the graveyard, which
can do stuff if you stack thetop of your deck. Right. But
it's a fun card, right, put it in a bear It would be
so much fun in a bare deck. It's such a fun card and that's
what matters is having fun with it. And like Bloom is one of those

(24:00):
sets where it's like, honestly, things aren't super strong or super weak.
The flavor of the set is completelywild. Jake wanted to Jake talked about
this guy a little bit with mecalled Tender Wild Guide. It's a possum
too mana offspring. Now we needto talk about the offspring effect. Well,

(24:23):
this is a new one. Youcan pay two as you cast the
spell, so it's kicker, it'sall just kicker. When you pay the
two, you get to create aone one copy of this creature. Now,
this creature taps for one mana butyou can also tap it to put
a one one town on the creature. So this thing gets bigger and bigger,
and it has an offspring that hasthe same ability. Yep, So

(24:44):
you have two of them running around. So this thing is before mana.
Either two mana you get a nicelittle you get a nice little mana dork
or for mana you get two littlemana dorcs. I like the offspring effect
and is it do you know why? I Actually I looked at it and
I thought it was interesting. Hm. Take a look at the you look

(25:07):
at that ability, and now lookat the talents that we were talking about.
You double that so you get twoone one counters every turn. Yep.
Now moving on from you can getthem big quick like. The parts
are so simple in this set.I love it. If you want to

(25:27):
get a friend into magic, Iwould say this set is great because nothing's
too mechanically taxing. The theme's reallyfun. We got to talk about Familia,
the seed miser. It's a squirrelwarlock. Other squirrels have menace when
if you sack one or more foods, create a squirrel forage, which is
exile three cards from your graveyard,or sacrifice the food and put a one

(25:49):
one counter on each other's. Thisis another squirrel commander. Jake talked about
squirrels and I'm like, yep,we are getting squirrel commanders in this set.
Of course, we've also got Baylinthe Haymaker. Now this is supposed

(26:11):
this is a too pronged joke.First, first Haymaker, he's supposed to
be a rabbit. He's a gardener. Okay, not a gardener, but
a farmer. He makes it.But with that last ability for untapped tokens
you control, put three one encounterson it, it gains trample. This

(26:33):
thing is a haymaker. You know. This set is really especially in Green,
is a really big on one onecounters. Yeah, this set is
playing around with one encounters a lot, which is really also thematic for the
set because the set is about thelittle rising up, the little creature rising
up against calamity. As we're talkingabout Bailin the Haymaker. His abilities are

(27:00):
tap two untapped tokens to control, add one man of any color, tap
three untack token control draw card, then tap four to put three one one
counters on him, and he gainstramp. So this guy is another token
Commander. He's not in the Commanderset, but I'm like, he's a
expander. People are gonna be runningBailin the Haymaker because it's a fun effect

(27:21):
and it's like oh I can do. It doesn't specify creature token, which
means and he's in red, whichmeans treasures are a game, are fair
game. Treasures are easily fair game. And because of that, there's so
much you can do with him. Now, there's a strong card in this

(27:42):
set, one that's coming out thatis gonna see Commander play that is also
might see modern play. This iswhat I call the second coming of Nickthos.
Now, Nick Thos is like afifty dollars card because it's a land

(28:04):
that taps two ads for your devotionthe Three Tree City. As it enters,
you choose a creature type. Ittaps for one manna colorless, or
you can pay two and tap it. You choose a color added amount of
manna of that color equal to thenumber of creatures you control of the chosen
type. You just look at herscreen, Jake, I've got it a

(28:32):
Remember I'm blind, all right? This is like, what is it?
It's not a Guy's Cradle. It'snot as good as Guy's Cradle, but
they took inspiration from Guy's Cradle. They took inspiration from the Ikia Land of
Guys Cradle and Nick Thos, whereit's like you pay two and you get
this effect where you can generate aton of manna. Think about this.

(28:53):
Tokendecks can use this because when theyget one hundred tokens, they're just like,
we have a hundred soldiers. Ichose soldier. I tab it,
I add a bunch of banana formy soldiers. Tribal decks love it because
I I'm only running elves. Anyway, here's my question. What's considered an

(29:18):
enchanted creature? And enchanted creature isany creature that has an aura attached to
it. Oh okay, I foundan interesting card feather of Flight that,
like enchanted creatures have flying, it'san enchantment flash enchant enchant creature. When

(29:44):
Feather of Flight enters drag card, enchanted creatures get plus one plus zero and
has flying. My dreams of makingup a bunch of flying squirrels are starting
to come true. Now. Theydid something interesting as well with planes walkers,
because the planes walkers all apparently withRalph. I'm not sure if this

(30:07):
is rals Eric, but because itjust says Ralph, I think this is
supposed to be rows Eric based onhis design and everything. The cackling,
crackling wit. I'm assuming this issupposed to be rals Eric, because come
on, this is Ralph. Thisis ral now, but he's an otter.

(30:30):
This is why I'm a little bitconfused. I mean, I think
it might be Laura that whenever plainsWalker comes to Bloomborough, they immediately become
an animal, which means all theplanes Walkers now get a first summer.
Whenever you cast a non creature spell, you put a loyalty counter on cackling.
With crackling cackling, why do Ithink he's cackling? You can plus

(30:52):
one to create another one of ourblue and red otters. It's all the
way on the top. He's lookingfor the old art. We'll be talking
about the altarts soon because the altarsare really good, especially I love,
for some reason, I love theland art. The negative three draw three
cards, the discard two cards andnegative ten draw three cards. You get

(31:15):
an emblem instant sor series you cast. Have storm Now that's a negative ten
and he starts at four, Sopeople are like, it's not gonna be
bad. This guy's be going tobe running storm decks, which means day
he's going to get to that tenreally quick because that whenever you cast a
non creasial spell, put a loyaltycounter on him. What you got to

(31:37):
do is generate a bunch of mana, play him, storm off, get
the emblem, and then keep stormingoff. It's such a strong old.
It's such a strong old. Nowwe're done kind of talking about the actual

(32:01):
different charts. Weren't just talk aboutthe art because we used to talk about
the arts, and then we stoppedat some point because we realized because honestly
the set, some of the setsjust didn't have good alterts. I gotta
say the alt arts for Bloomboro arephenomenal. I mean, like, I've

(32:23):
got Alania up here, the divergentstorm with this otter that's just throwing man
in different directions, the or youknow the frog Nissa, right. I
love the art work they did forthese the arts, the altars, and
the fact that they were like,Okay, we don't want to reprint planes

(32:43):
Walkers in every set, but whatwe can do is we can put them
is the showcase cards. And I'mlike, that's actually really cool. I
like these cards and they did themall differently, like I would never have
thought to Fury would be a peacock, I assume't have a peak talk anyway.

(33:04):
Should look at some of these.I love some of the drawings,
like they almost look like hand drawings. Oh the let me grab one of
them so that everybody so good.So if you see Jake looking down,
he's got a laptop that he's lookingthrough the art as well. I've been
looking at the cards. M h. I mean, I love the artwork

(33:30):
that they did for loumar On thatone. Oh, it looks amazing.
Clans Walkers. I love what theydid with the Clanswalkers. The fact that
they made Karmentry m or Elsbeth ofMouse small but mighty. Yea. I

(33:54):
would say ELL's beef is anything butsmall. Well she has a mouse.
Yeah, Like aren't the great Creatoras this tree? Yeah? Or Elizabeth

(34:16):
sons Champion as the mouse. Ireally think you should take it and show
some of these because they almost havethem set up as like journal entries,
like when you when we would playarc Oh, like Dossier's yes and it's
so good. Yeah, we'll showoff Maha again. They look like something

(34:45):
out of like an Adventures journal.Like the arts here are so good.
I'm like, I'm here for thealternate arts. I'm here for the alternate
arts. For the plains Walkers,I'm here for the alternate arts in general.
The storybook arts are so good.Like, Okay, so we've talked

(35:07):
about the cards, but I'm talkingabout the cards at this point because we
beat the cards to death and we'realmost at the forty minute mark. Well,
overall, how do we rate thisset in terms of power? I
like the power balance. There's nottoo many things coming up that will break
the balance of everything. I thinkit'll be a very interesting sealed environment.

(35:30):
I think it's gonna do very interestingthings to standard as well as far as
design goes. M what do youfeel about the actually just the alternate arts,
but the abilities, the flavor everything. I love the idea of the

(35:54):
forests because they do an amazing jobwith those, and the I mean some
of the abilities. They're not extremelypowerful, but you can tell that they're
still going to be played because they'regoing to be able to do something.
That's my thing when I was talkingabout the kind of how the power level

(36:15):
is. They are not overpowered. This set will not break the game,
but it may I hope not.I'm going to eat my words on that.
Because I also said modern Horizons won'tbreak the game, and then it
absolutely broke the game. What's whatI could see happening by him with him's

(36:37):
hands not going to break the game. I could see him getting one shot
by a giant squirrel, you know, like one hundred and fifty hundred and
fifty squirrel just walks up in waxhands. That that rabbit's going to end
me. That Haymaker is something forme. It's gonna make me eat my
words, I swear. But overall, yeah, this set as well,

(36:59):
it's not too powerful. It stillhas power in there. There's Commander stuff
in there that's really fun. There'sstuff that will make standard a lot of
fun. You can get the Brewersgoing very easily with the set, when
of course the art, oh man, they nailed the art. So even

(37:20):
outside the showcase art still looks reallygood and like being a red Wall callback
with all the storytelling stuff and thestorybook style stuff, the old stories book
style bards. This this set hasso much identity to it. Honestly,
I would love to get some ofthe foil lands. Those lands look good

(37:45):
as well, I mean, andthen they take it to another step with
their showcases where they're like, let'sget some act, Let's get these characters
in action. You know, you'vegot the Haymaker fully armored and with like
a flaming scythe and it's like that'sooh. You got the cackling went jumping
in. You've got the Archer withthe bow, Mabel's wielding the cag flame,

(38:07):
You've got the plains Walker's doing that. I think this is such a
cool set. Somebody put a lotof love into this set. I don't
know why Wizards of the Coast isnow hiring s furries because this set looks

(38:28):
like a set designed by furries, because they got hacked by the furries.
I don't know who's blackmailing Wizards ofthe Coast and so letting the Furries have
a set, But the Furries havea set, I still think. And
that was the biggest concern. Thebiggest concern was like when Bloomborough comes back,
it's just gonna be the furry setand it's like in Therey. Yeah,

(38:50):
but they did something so well withthis set. It's like when everybody
when we were going back to Xlonand everyone's like, what's left on eickxelon
pirates again. It's like, nowwe're doing more cool. Everything changes,
it's well done, everything's developed.I like Bloombergo as a set. I

(39:12):
gotta I'd say it's about an aboveaverage set. I can't give it a
ten out of ten or anything.I give it an eight out of ten.
Yeah, I mean I like thealternate arts really, I really like
them. I think they'll be funto just just to look at. Heck,
I would like to blow on upand put it on the wall.

(39:32):
Also, we are at the endhere, and I know this is gonna
wind up being a short. Soif you get either the short or the
video to, that's just something stupid. Let's go ten thousand likes. I'm
putting it out there because I wantyou guys to break this. We will

(39:54):
play the box game on stream.Heck, we've got a table for it
now. We will play the Boxgame. You will get to watch my
wallet supper as I buy so manyboxes. And I say ten thousand because
that means that's a lot, andI don't think you'll get there, so

(40:15):
prove me wrong. Right now,we're hoping. We're still trying to get
to affiliates Dennis hitting ten thousand.Mine don't mean like this is when this
goes onto YouTube. It's the videoor the short. We're both combined.
Yet ten thousand likes. We'll playthe box game on stream. You get

(40:37):
to watch my wallet suffer, youget to watch poor financial decisions happen.
Yeah, we'll end up on financialaudit, just referencing another show that that
half the people don't understand. Ofcourse, that's everything that we've got to
talk about. Bloomborough. If you'rethis far in you liked it, please

(40:59):
say the subscribe or if you're justwatching it in the background or listening in
the background, subscribe follow like makesure to like get to that ten thousand,
and of course get that box gamegoing. I'm your gm Isaiah,
I'm dungeon Master or no, oh, he's the dungeon Master. I'm dragon
Master Monster. Technically, dungeon Masteris a trademark owned by Wizards of the

(41:21):
Coast, so we can't believe he'lluse dungeon Master. So little fact that
they owe not that dungeon Master asa trademark. It's copyright. I'm mad
about that because I used to callmyself dungeon Master Isaiah, but I got
to see some desist. So I'myour GM Isaiah. That's dragon Master Jencob.
We're logging out.
