S03E10 - Joseph Selbie // The Yuga Cycle

Earlier this year, Andrew and CK ventured to sunny California for the Conference of Procession and Ancient Knowledge. The two spent three days locked in a room with many of the brightest minds within the scientific community and mind-bending conversation after mind-bending conversation left them reeling for more. This week's episode of Lost Origins has been a long time coming. This is the first official installment of the CPAK episodes and we kick it off with a bang by interviewing Joseph Selbie.

Did ancient man have a higher sense of consciousness and a more thorough understanding of reality than our current model? If you have jumped down the rabbit hole that is the Yuga Cycle, you may have your own opinions around this. Yuga in Hinduism is an epoch or era within a four-age cycle. A complete Yuga starts with the Satya Yuga, via Treta Yuga and Dvapara Yuga into a Kali Yuga. Some scholars say that our present time is ascending Kali Yuga, while some scholars say that Kali Yuga has ended in 1700 A.D. and now we're in ascending Dwapara Yuga.

Joseph Selbie is the author of The Physics of God. An avid follower of the unfolding new paradigms of science, he is known for creating bridges of understanding between the modern evidenced-based discoveries of science and the ancient experience-based discoveries of the mystics. Joseph is also the co-author of The Yugas, a factual look at Yukteswar’s description of the cycle of the ages.

A dedicated Kriya meditator for nearly 50 years, he has taught yoga and meditation throughout the US and Europe, helping people to understand and find their own spiritual potential—and helping them understand how the expression of their spiritual potential ushers into the world an unstoppable wave of peaceful consciousness. He is a founding member of Ananda, a world-wide spiritual movement. Joseph has been with Ananda since 1975 and has served in a wide variety of roles including IT Director, Ananda Village Community Manager, Lightbearer, and spearhead for Ananda’s work in Europe and Seattle. Joseph is the author of other books exploring how spirituality connects with culture and science, including a sci/fi fantasy series, The Protectors Diaries, inspired by the abilities of mystics. He is currently working on a new book, The Psychology of God, an exploration of the intersections of psychology and neuroscience with higher consciousness.
