L'ottimismo della volontà

Siamo talmente abituati a poter disporre del nostro tempo, che una limitazione così forte e perentoria ci appare probabilmente più grande di quello che è. E allora forse abbiamo bisogno di leggere e ascoltare le parole di chi, come Gramsci, ha saputo trarre dalla dura esperienza del carcere l’opportunità per leggere, scrivere, riflettere, parlare con amici, moglie e figli, utilizzando, ironia, favola, dolcezza, lasciandoci un patrimonio intellettuale e morale inestimabile e quanto mai attuale. Ogni giovedì vi proporremo la lettura di una delle sue lettere scritte negli anni della prigionia. Cominciamo oggi con la lettera alla madre del 6 giugno 1927. Siamo sicuri, come lui, di poter resistere e di poterci riabbracciare presto.
