But one thing I want to let you know that

(01:39):

(02:43):
Collection dot com. Like I said, I just got back
from Disneyland and I haven't been there in a little bit.
So we jumped on a plane from Seattle to Orange
County and John Wayne Airport. It's a nice two hour
and some are minute from SeaTac. It's really nice. You
can leave early in the morning and be in the

(03:05):
parks right as they open and or right after. So
we arrived at John Wayne and if there's no traffic
you can take an uber or if you want private
transportation that can help you with that as well. It
takes about twenty twenty two minutes from the airport. It's
not too bad. There's plenty of ubers and John Wayne
does a really nice job of finding the ride share area,

(03:28):
lots of signs. They have a great space for it.
And like I said, we waited maybe about five or
seven minutes for our uber to come pick us up
at the airport. So it's great. But one of the reasons,
like I said, I wanted to go to Disneyland, was
one I haven't been there in a while. Look, I
just said, but they have the happiest haunts core and

(03:49):
so walking towards about two hours, we go from land
to land and they talk about some stories, some ghosts
and eerie tales. I will say overall, it's good. I
wasn't really excited because well, I'm sorry. I was excited
about taking it, but I thought would maybe get behind
the scenes of certain attractions like the Hated Mansion, but

(04:10):
that didn't occur. They do give you pretty cool keepsakes
as they give you a Lightning Lane pass for free,
a pin, some cards, and I got a pretty cool
Halloween trick a treat bag. But to itself, it's two hours. Again,
we go from land to land. There's a story in
each land about some things about the history of Disneyland.

(04:32):
Like we went and talked about the matter horn. They
say there was something like the Yetti or Bigfoot living
in there, and they hear things moving around and you
might see it or it might not. It was just
something that they talked about there. The same thing with
the creation of Big Thunder Mountain. Just a lot of things,
a lot of stories, but it's a lot of walking.

(04:52):
The poor host was really good, brand new, a little nervous,
but he did a really good job. So we did
that as well. But I also got to test out
the Lightning Lane multi pass. There is a lot of
confusion about that. There is pay for it, yes you do.
Is it easy to use?

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Now?

Speaker 4 (05:11):
There's been a lot of social media posts. There's been
a lot of other Disney experts writing about it and
talking about it and making videos some of it that
make it really confusing and complex. I don't really see
it that way. I'm going to try to answer some
questions in a few minutes about the common questions that
come about Lightning Lane. But I had no problem using that.

(05:33):
It was easy to use. One thing with disney Land,
you can't select your Lightning Lane multi pass attractions until
you enter the park. They offer you two opportunities. You
have two opportunities during the day to select your multi
pass Lightning Lane opportunities, but anything it's done by the app.

(05:53):
I selected my attraction, hit the button, and then when
I was ready to redeem, hit it again, and pass
was not there. Believe it or not, my wife's pass
actually came on without any problem. When I redeemed it,
my screen was a little foggy and it looked really
out of focus. You couldn't make anything out. So I

(06:16):
didn't know that was kind of interesting. So I didn't
know if it redeemed or not. So I stopped a
cast member and asked. And what's really interesting. When you
do redeem the multi lane pass, it actually links to
your park ticket. I never knew that until I asked,
And that's a really good tip to know. So if
you have a problem redeeming, more likely the Lightning Lane

(06:38):
actually got linked to your park ticket, which mine did.
So when I went through the attraction, I just entered
my phone with my park ticket and it circled round
one white and then it turned to green and I
was able to go. What I don't like about the
Lightning Lane, and the same thing with Genie Plus before,
is that the price can fluctuate before you. Price will

(07:01):
fluctuate and it'll go up pie it'll come down load
just depending on supply and demand. And again at disney Land,
you have to enter the park to select your passes.
Now for Walt Disney, world, it's a little bit different.
If you are staying on property, you've got seven days
before your first day at the park, you can go

(07:21):
ahead and select up to three of your lightning lane
multi pass selections before we get there. If you're staying
off property, then you can do it three days. So
that's a really nice benefit when you are trying to plan.
But there's a couple other questions that I'll try to
answer for you, And one of the questions that I've
received recently was, well, I'll be able to modify my

(07:43):
lightning my lightning lane multi pass selections for pre selected
lightning lane multi passes, You sure can. You can modify
selections before and enduring your trip, based also on the availability.
If your new selection is a different park, you must
first cancel all the original lightning lane multi pass selections.
But for same day selections, you can modify any available

(08:05):
experience or time, so that's not too bad. What happens
if you are late or missed your book lightning lane entry.
That's another common thing that can happen, because you could
be maybe eating, or maybe on another attraction or another
side of the park. I think there are some conflicting
reports regarding what happens if you arrive either early or

(08:26):
late for your hour window. That's right, you get one
hour or window. Just like in fast Pass Plus and
Fast Pass and Genie Plus, you always had an hour
to return back to that attraction. I recommend that you
arrive on time within that hour time frame. If you
anticipate being late, you might want to consider canceling or
modifying the lightning lane entry, especially if you want a

(08:48):
chance to book that same attraction later that day. If
you're not canceling the entry, the system will assume you
rode the attraction, you will not be able to book
the attraction again that day. You can always speak with
a cast member. They might let you slide and or
give you some assistance. In this situation, another question comes up.
Can you use the lightning lane entrance more than once

(09:08):
per day for an attraction with either ad on surface.
The short answer is no. Actually, that is the right answer, no, guess,
may only obtain a lightning lane entrance once per day
for an attraction when either using lightning lane single or
lightning lane multipass options. So that what that means, Let's

(09:29):
say you have it for the Tower Terror, go do
your Lightning Lane, you get there within the hour, you
ride the attraction, which is my favorite at Walt disney World.
Then you decide when you're later on you want to
try to do a multi pass for Tier Tear. Again,
the app will not allow you to do it. It says
you will not be eligible. So just remember it's one

(09:50):
time a day that you can do that for each attraction.
Now here's another question for you. If I have a
park Harper ticket, am I able to select lightning lane
multipass attraction different parks in the same day? Your three
pre selected lightning lanes must all be in the same park. However,
after you use the first lightning lane, you will be
able to make additional selections in a different park if

(10:12):
you desire, including modifying the other two pre selected attractions
at the new park. One other thing is is the
multi lane pass and virtual que the same they are not.
There are certain attractions that you have to join the
virtual queue to enter. Again that is on your My

(10:33):
Disney Experience app, and when you select that, it'll come
up with depending on where you are. If you're in
disney Land or Disney World, they'll come up with what
park it is and what attractions, and usually that's at
seven o'clock in the morning and usually at one pm.
For example, when we went to Disneyland this time around
the Haunted Mansion, which is in their holiday mode with

(10:55):
both Christmas and Halloween within thera. It's so much fun.
You need to do that if we go to Disneyland,
so make sure you get into Virtual Que. So when
we got to Disneyland on the first day, I joined
the Virtual que around noon. For some other reason, it
opened up at eleven o'clock. It was opened at Disneyland

(11:17):
at eleven am. And when I joined the Q, I
was I was the two hundred and thirteenth boarding group
and they were still in the sixties. It's really tough
to judge, but we had a bunch of things planned.
We had lunch planned. We also had dinner planned at
seven point thirty. So it was about five hours later
when we crossed over from California Adventure over to Disneyland

(11:40):
Park to ride some things there, and then my boarding
group was called. We went over to Haunted Mansion. They
scanned our ticket and scanned our pass, and we rode
the attraction very easy. You just have to watch the
boarding pass. They usually will send you some push notices
as well. We had a really good time with decent Land.

(12:02):
We've got to do web Slingers, which you've never done.
It is a pretty fun attraction using VR you get
to swing your arms like Spider Man and spin webs
at Spider Box and it's so much fun.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
It's great.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
We also went on Guardians of the Galaxy breakout mission,
again great fun. We had a lot of fun with
the people that are on. We wrote it two or
three times and they also change around mid afternoon from
regular mode to monster mode. And again you should do

(12:38):
it both times and see the difference in the attraction.
How things change again. Tire Terror, Guardians and Galax Say
anything that goes up and drops like that are always
going to be part of my favorite attractions to do.
We actually ate at Pixar Place at the Great Maple Diner.
Very good food, very good service as well. We also

(13:00):
at Naples and Downtown Disney District had some good Italian
So again another successful and eventful trip to Disneyland. You
can join my TikTok see some things on my Facebook page.
Oh you know something I've got to tell you. One
of the coolest things about the Happiest Haunts tour is
that you go into the secret room and you get

(13:21):
to take some pictures and see the hitchhiking ghosts again.
You can go to my Facebook Instagram and see some
of those pictures. That was actually pretty cool. So if
you like those kind of cool things, The Happiest Haunts
not behind the scenes, but we did get a picture
opportunity with the hitchhiking ghosts from the Haunted Mansion, and
here's some stories behind that. So much fun. One of

(13:43):
the things I do is a travel advisor, and I
tried to give the I try to give the best
advice I can give to people, from going on cruises,
going to Europe, going to Asia, especially going to Disney
or going to any kind of theme park. Disneyland and
disney World are very different. It's real easy to park

(14:04):
harp at Disneyland because the parks are right across from
each other. If you're going to park hop at Disney World,
they're spread out, and you factor in the time for
transportation both to the parks and then if you're gonna
park op what kind of motor transportation that you're gonna use,
is gonna use the boat You're gonna use the bus,
you can use the skyliner. There's all kinds of options

(14:26):
as well. But some of the questions that I receive
and some of the advice I tried to give is
some travel tips as well as park tips. So every
once in a while in this podcast, I'm gonna throw
some park tips at you. And today we're going to
start in Walt Disney World and talk about the Magic Kingdom.
So if you're driving the Magic Kingdom, remember that you

(14:48):
need to park your car at the Transport and Ticket
Center and take the take the monorail or ferry to
the park. Wait, if we do those options, takes time,
so please plan accordingly, especially if you've sele died some
lightning laying multi pass and you can take thirty to
forty minutes to maybe get to the park from the TTC.

(15:09):
The other thing, if you are staying on property, just
remember that both disney Land Disney World also offer early
park entry. You are allowed to enter a park thirty
minutes earlier to the official park opening, So planned a
ride to the park gates at least sixty minutes prior

(15:30):
to the official park opening. So if you've never been
to rope drop or right before park opens, especially for
early entry, you will see the lines just bulge out. Also,
just remember you have to allow time for the security
check when entering any of the parks. Be ready to
show proof that you are a resort guest. One of
the things that if you're arriving at early entry, you

(15:53):
might want to skip the let the matchup begin welcome show,
and head right to your track. I want to suggest
that you start your morning with a ride that you
personally want to do. I want to suggest an attraction
order for you. I want to rank these, especially if
they're on your priority list. I want to rank them
an order based on the longest que The longest stand

(16:16):
by queue Keana's Bay You Adventure is a virtual queue
right now. You can request a boarding pass for this
attraction using your my Disney experience and at seven am
or one pm. Just remember you will get wet, you
may even get soaked. Then the next longest que stand
by will probably be the Tron light Cycle Run. Remember

(16:39):
you gotta be about you must be forty eight inches
tall and you will be able to speed across the
world with no horizons and a high stakes race based
on the Disney sci fi film Tron. I was able
to ride tron and Shanghai Disneyland. It was so much fun.
Guests not riding tron can enjoy a buzz light Year,
Monsters Inc. Laugh, or either any nearby family friendly attraction. Again,

(17:05):
this is an a virtual queue. You can request the
boarding pass for this attraction using your my Disney experience.
The next biggest standby line in my mind is the
seven Dwarf's Mind Train. Again, you got to be thirty
eight inches tall. If you're arriving at park opening and
if you can do it at early entry, make your

(17:25):
way towards the castle, turn right, turn right to cross
the bridge towards the Tea Cups. Turn left at the
Tea Cups. The stand by queue will have the longest
wait time in the park shortly after the opening and
remain that way all day. You can actually purchase the
lightning Lane single pass for that attraction. If you're going

(17:46):
into Fantasy Land, it's a classic ride Peter Pan's Flight.
They have a new interactive queue that makes the weight
and the queue more tolerable, but weights can be excessive.
You can use your multi pass Lightning Lane for that
Space Mountain again, got to be forty four inches tall.
And remember if any in your group is not writing,

(18:07):
they can head over to Dumbo or the barn Stormer.
One of my favorites at Magic Endon Park is actually
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. You gotta be forty inches. It
is usually a thirty minute wait. You must be forty
inches tall. Just remember that it's minimal shade there. The
building is open, so there is no ac My thought

(18:29):
would be you ride this one early in the day
and then come back at night, because you write it
at night. The tracks are really greased up. It's moving,
it seems to be moving much faster. I love writing
it at night. The last one I want to mention
in this episode here is the Haunting Mansion. It is
fun to ride. It can't be scary for the little ones,

(18:51):
but that Q can also get big as well. All right,
one more thing. Just remember that if you're going with
little kids, they want to meet some of the characters
from princesses to Mickey, to Minnie to Winnie the Pooh,
you know, maybe enchanted tales with bells. Just remember that
sometimes those cues can be long as well, but they're

(19:12):
well worth it because the Disney magic is there listen
if you've got some questions about other things at Magic
Kingdom or any other park. Like I say, I'm going
to try to hit some highlight in future podcasts, So
I hope you've enjoyed this podcast, please keep listening. You
