Speaker 1 (00:00):
So this week's episode it's all about how to get
the most out of a Tarot and intuitive reading as
a client. Now, there's still going to be lots of
mindset gold and practical pieces for my Taro readers out there,
but this particular episode is also going to serve you
that the listener, the client, when you go for a
(00:20):
tarot and intuitive reading, it's really important that you get
the most out of it, right, That's why you're booking.
So I want to share some pieces with you that
are going to really empower you to get the most
out of that experience, out of the time with the
reader that you're seeing, and also out of the reading itself. Now,
all of these pieces are taken from my program, The
(00:41):
Confident Reader Mastermind, where I teach you in depth how
to read Taro with confidence, how to give beautiful, magical readings,
and also how to set yourself up for success as
a reader. So if you're interested in learning more, check
out the links in the show notes. You can also,
of course send me a message if you like. But
let's dive in with why this is important. So I
(01:03):
read taro and do intuitive readings for people around the world.
I also teach Taro and intuitive readings, and I'm extremely
passionate about the whole process. Right, I think giving a
reading and getting a reading is a magical, sacred experience
that is absolutely one of the most beautiful things that
you can do for somebody else and also receive for
(01:24):
yourself as well. Right. People go for readings for a
number of different reasons, but whatever the specific reason is,
people go for readings because they want support, they want help,
they want clarity, they want guidance. So I really want
to encourage you to see a reading as a sacred
experience but also as something that you can really fully
(01:47):
engage in and get the most out of. Okay, A
reading is not you sitting there and you know, somebody
just talking at you and like telling you your future
and then okay bye, that's just not a reading. Okay
some people might think it is. In my opinion, it
certainly is not. A reading is a beautiful experience where
(02:07):
you're open to messages that you most need, you can
ask things, and of course you come away with practical
guidance next steps, and a sense of being empowered. Right,
So I'm going to dive in very shortly with some
practical pieces for you make sure that you're nice and comfortable,
you've got a notebook and pen ready, and let's set
the intention that you get exactly what you most need
(02:30):
from this session. So we just talked about, you know,
a reading being a sacred experience and actually something that
you go to to get the most out of a reading. Again,
it's not just a case of like, I hope this
goes well, or oh that'd be great if it's helpful.
I want you to really engage in it in a
proactive way. Because I'm going to say something now as
(02:52):
we start the sort of the practical piece of the session.
I'm going to say something now that some people might
be surprised to hear. The energy that you bring to
a reading is really important, both in terms of the
messages that you receive, what you're open to, but also
for the reader itself. I mean, I read for people
around the world all day, and I can tell you that,
(03:14):
I mean, very rarely does this happen. But I can
tell you that clients who bring a certain type of
energy to the reading, they're just not going to get
what they need out of it for a few reasons.
And we'll talk about that in a little bit. So
it's really important to make sure that you're bringing the
best type of energy that you can at that time.
And again we'll talk about that very shortly, but the
(03:36):
energy that you bring to a reading is really important
as well. So let's just dive in with some practical pieces.
The first thing to help you get the most out
of a tarot and intuitive reading is to make sure
that you're in a quiet, calm space. Sounds really simple
and obvious, right, Please don't be in your car driving,
Please don't be out walking around. Please don't be sat
(04:00):
somewhere with like screaming kids or barking dogs or friends
running around. Be somewhere quiet and calm, both for yourself
that you can be fully present and also for the reader.
It's very distracting to have lots of background noise and
it can sort of throw the vibe off slightly. So
make sure that you're in a place that's quiet, that's calm,
(04:21):
that's also somewhere that you can sort of be fully
grounded and present. Now, if you would like to, then
I would also recommend you, know, you can maybe light
a candle for yourself, you can like some incense, you
can do whatever you want. To do to make it
a sacred space for yourself as well. The next piece
is what we were just talking about, which is your
(04:41):
energy before a reading. I always recommend that people spend
at least five minutes doing some breathing, getting nice and grounded,
getting centered. Okay, don't log onto a reading super emotional
and activated and like super kind of charged up, because
it's not going to help you get the most out
(05:02):
of the reading. Right When you're in that state, it
can be very difficult to read for so I would
always recommend, you know, bring whatever you want to the reading,
of course, bring the situation, bring the questions, but always
get yourself nice and grounded for a good few minutes
before the session. Do some breathing, do some tapping, do
whatever you need to do, and then when you come
(05:23):
into the reading, you know, when you log in or
when you go to see the person, you're grounded and calm.
I know people sometimes don't like to hear this, but
it's not a good idea to get a reading. If
you're super activated and super upset and super charged up.
You can do other things with that energy, of course,
you can maybe some talking, maybe some coaching, but a
(05:43):
reading you always need to make sure that you're bringing
the best energy that you can to the read. On
a practical note as well, if you need to eat something,
if you need to drink, if you need to make
sure that you're rested, and any of those practical things,
do what you need to do. Okay, very very rarely
has this ever happened to me, But like you know,
if someone logs on and they're clearly in a really
(06:05):
bad mood or they're really grumpy, I don't want to
read for that because it's also very difficult to connect,
but it's also not going to get you the type
of reading that you want. The reading will very often
pick up on that. So this is really about you
respecting the reader and the space, but also yourself and
making sure that you're bringing that sort of calm, grounded energy.
(06:25):
Of course, you can be upset and bring your authentic
self if that's appropriate, but try and manage your energy
before the session. Also, you know, make sure that you're
you're tapping into a sense of excitement right, you're tapping
into a sense of anticipation. Most of the readings I
do for clients are I would say a combination of
(06:45):
you know, tarot readings of course, intuitive work, coaching, and
I read on a number of subjects love and relationships, work, career, family, friends,
loads of things. So whatever you're getting a reading about,
make sure that you're bringing a sort of grounded, grounded
calm energy as much as possible. Okay. The next piece
(07:05):
is be open to what you most need to hear,
over what you want to hear. I was talking about
this with a colleague yesterday. It's very important to go
into a reading with the mindset of I'm connecting to
what I most need to know for my good, my happiness,
my success, my growth. Okay, don't go to a reading
(07:29):
putting pressure on the answer. I can think of this
only happening to me once in maybe the last well
as long as I can remember, really, but I can
remember once someone saying to me, I need you to
tell me this, and of course you know I handled
it and explained it. But when you go into a reading,
it's really important to make sure that you have the
mindset of I am open to what I most need
(07:51):
to hear right now for my good, for my success, growth, happiness, etc.
I teach this in depth by the way inside the
confidence reader, Mastermind all these points and a lot more
we go into you know how to prepare yourself for
a reading, but also things to send clients and share
with clients about how they can prepare for readings as well.
(08:11):
So again linking show notes, reach out if you'd like
to learn more. I'm going to pause here for a
second and talk about why this is also so important,
and then we'll finished with the last few points. Now
from the reader's point of view, for all of my
readers listening, this is also about your professional standards and
boundaries as well. This is about you protecting your energy
(08:32):
and also making sure that you're supporting your client in
the best way possible. If a client is sat in
a really noisy room, distracted in a really bad mood,
you are going to pick up on that and it's
not going to feel nice. You're also probably not going
to give them the best reading, and then it's not
going to feel like a nice experience. So this is
(08:52):
also about making sure that you are setting yourself up
for success, you're very clear on how you work best,
and also again for the benefit of the client and
yourself as well, this is really about making sure that
the experience is as magical and empowering as possible. And
if you don't already do this, I'd really encourage you
to have a think about your professional boundaries and standards
(09:16):
when it comes to how your client shows up for
the read, because it's really important to make sure that
you're respecting yourself, of course respecting your client deeply as well,
but really respecting yourself as well. Okay, all right on
to the next piece. So we just talked about being
open to what you most need to hear. I want
to add to that with this next piece. Ask empowering questions,
(09:39):
not disempowering questions. I coach on this in depth. I
mean I have like I think two or three almost
hour long classes on this inside the Confident Reader Mastermind.
Ask empowering questions. Now, when people book with me, all
my students from the Confident Reader Mastermind, like, I'll coach
them on the right questions to ask. So don't worry
about that. But I'm going to give you an example.
(10:01):
Will my book be successful is a predictive read. It
takes your power away and it puts the answer sort
of in the hands of fate. That actually isn't really
how TARR works. I know, people sort of want it to,
it's not how it really works. The problem with those
kind of questions as well, is it sort of disempowers you, right,
because the truth is it depends on you, doesn't it.
(10:23):
If you are not doing any marketing for the book,
If you're not doing any kind of promotion. If you
are let's say, burning leads of bridges and like not
getting on with people that you're working with, probably not okay.
If you're taking a proactive approach, doing the mindset work,
doing some magic marketing the book properly, following your intuition, Yeah,
of course. So the question should be what do I
(10:46):
most need to know about making my book successful? Or
what can I do to support my book's success? That
puts you as the client, backing your power. It gives
you practical things you can do, and it makes you
an active participant what you want to manifest. Same thing
with relationships, Right, will I meet someone I would always
(11:07):
coach my client. Let's take a look at what you
most need to know about meeting someone at this time,
or what you can do to connect with someone, or
the best way that you can meet somebody, whatever it is, Right,
you get my point. You want to ask questions that
always put you back into the sort of let's say,
(11:28):
drive a seat of the situation. Next piece here again
sounds really obvious. Be fully present, be fully present. It's
really distracting if, for example, like you check your phone,
or you're doing something, or you're like walking around the
house making a coffee. I have on multiple occasions said
to clients, I'm going to jump in, go ahead and
(11:51):
take a deep breath. I'd like you to sit down
some calm and patient, carmen and quiet, or we can
pause and then when you've made your coffee or done whatever,
continue But I'm not going to sit here and read
for you when you're walking around your house and distracted
and making a coffee, because it's very difficult for me
to tune in like that. But it's also very distracting.
(12:11):
Plus on a practical level, I'm also thinking, you're not
really listening, so you're not going to pick up what
I'm saying, and then it's going to sort of throw
the vibe off. And as a reader, I take my
clients very very seriously. I deeply appreciate them, I respect them.
I also want to make sure that I'm doing my
best for you. Okay. And a big way that I
can do that is to make sure all of these
(12:32):
things are very clear to be fully present, you know,
I would recommend if you need to tell maybe your
team or your family, or your friends or whoever you
live with, tell them I'm in a meeting. I'm not
able to chat, you know, close the door, turn your
phone off or put it away from you, you know,
deal with any background noise, things like that, so you
(12:53):
can be fully present with the reader. And that's about
respecting yourself, the reader, and of course the spaces, and
that really just helps everybody to sort of get the
most out of it as well. Now, bonus piece for
you is make sure that you've got a notebook and
pen with you. I don't mind if my clients record
the session. I only ask that they tell me before
they do it. I'll often say to clients, you're very
(13:15):
welcome to record this if you would like. I'd recommend
either doing that or having a notebook and pen with
you and writing things down. If you come to my
sessions or you get readings from me, you'll note I
very often will say to my clients, go ahead and
take a screenshot of this of these cards go ahead
and take a screenshot of this spread and I'll hold
them up to the camera because I want my clients
(13:37):
to have things to look back on and reflect on.
So make sure that you're doing that as well, because
you're probably not going to remember everything, but at least
then you can look back over things as well. And
final point here before we complete is this is really
about you respecting yourself and getting the most out of
what you're paying for out and the most out of
the experience itself. Okay, so we're going to recap points.
(14:00):
It's really important for you to see a reading as
something that you actively participate in, and that starts with
making sure that your somewhere calm and quiet and of
course where you're able to be fully present. It's really
important that you bring a calm as much as you
can grounded energy to the session. Of course, share whatever's
present for you, absolutely, you know, share what's present and
(14:23):
going on, but make sure that your energy is as
grounded as possible. Be open to what you most need
to hear above what you maybe want to hear. Ask
empowering questions that put you back into the driver's seat,
and be fully present. Treat the session with the respect
because it's about respecting yourself and of course the reader
(14:43):
as well. And then I guess I just want to
add a final point here as well, enjoy yourself. Most
of the readings I do with my clients are really lovely.
In fact, I would say they all are right. There's
always there's always a bit of a laugh, we have
a little bit of a joke, sometimes a little bit
of chat. It's really nice. And I do that tol
really because I want people to feel really good working
with me. I want them to feel like they've had
(15:03):
a beautiful magical reading, yes, with wonderful intuitive messages and guidance,
but also they've had a nice experience. So that's sort
of a final piece for you here is make sure
that you're also going into it with the intention of
having a nice experience. I hope this has been helpful
for you. If you'd like to learn more about giving
magical readings, reading Tara with confidence, and also how to
(15:26):
sort of set yourself up for success, you know, as
a reader, but also how to communicate these things with
your clients, check out the Confident Reader Mastermind. A lot
of the mindset work that we do in the program
is also around self trust, self confidence, and really respecting
yourself as a reader. I don't see many programs talking
about this, which is why I'm so excited to bring
(15:47):
these sessions to the group, because it's really important to
understand that as the reader, you have a right and
I would say, you know, it's important that you do this.
You really get clear on how you can give the
best types of readings possible, rather than just letting everybody
else kind of you know, show up. However, it's about
you curating that space for yourself energetically, and of course
(16:10):
as the client, it's also really important that you, you know,
get the reading that you wanted and of course come
away with that guidance and support. So any questions about
Confident Reader Mastermind, check out the link in my show
notes or drop me an email and I'll be very
happy to chat with you. I'm sending you magic and
blessings for a beautiful day and a fabulous week full
of good news, happy surprises, and smooth, easy and fun manifestations.
