Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's talk about how to create a magical practice that
works for you. Whether you're brand new to the craft
and you've just started practicing magic and witchcraft, its fell work.
Whether you've been on the path for a while or
you're coming back to your practice, this episode is all
about how you can take whatever you're doing at the
moment and enhance it to be more effective and more powerful.

(00:22):
For you, to put it bluntly, this episode is all
about how to create a practice that helps you manifest
your goals and intentions and create a fabulous life. Something
I say a lot to my students and friends even is,
you know, we don't practice magic to have a ship life, right,
You don't practice magic to have an average life. You

(00:42):
practice magic to create the things that you want in
your life, that are meaningful.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
For you, that excite you.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yeah, of course we also practice magic to deal with
things and you know, handle things, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
But never forget we also.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Practice magic to create beautiful things in our life. And
it's really import to know that. Whether you're brand new
to the practice, you're just figuring this out all you've
been on the path for a while, just know that
your practice is a gift to yourself. It's about self love,
self worth. No one's ever going to make you practice magic.
I always joke about this, right, No one is ever

(01:17):
going to make you, like sit down and practice magic.
So it's something that you choose to do yourself. And
like anything in life, you get out what you put in. Okay,
if you only ever do it once in a while,
don't put much energy into it and don't really look
at or think about what you're doing, you're not going
to get the same results as someone who takes their
practice seriously. So let's dive in very shortly with how

(01:40):
you can really take your practice to that beautiful next
level and you know, give yourself the gift of a
practice that works for you. But before we do, I
want to say two things. One, a huge welcome thanks
for being here. Make sure you subscribe to the podcast
so that you get my weekly tarot and intuitive readings
and also lessons in magic, spell work a manifesting. And

(02:02):
check out the link in my profile for the learn
Magic section on my website. All of my classes this
week from the twenty seventh to the thirty first are
buy one, get one free, so for every class, every
single class that you buy. You can choose one for free,
my treat and that's to support you studying and learning
and of course practicing your magic and developing your your

(02:26):
abilities as well. So let's just dive in. I've created
this episode, as I just said, to give you some
really powerful tips, techniques and mindset shifts that you can
apply right away to start creating a powerful practice. And
when I was thinking about, you know what I wanted
to share in this episode, I was really thinking about,
like my own practice, right, my own witchcraft practice. I've

(02:48):
been a practicing which for twenty six years now. I've
been studying and practicing and obviously, you know, learning and
growing in my craft. And I'm in a place where
I have a lot of trust in my magic. I
have a lot of faith in my abilities, my magic,
my intuition, and that's why I teach other people these things.
Everything that I'm teaching on this podcast and in my classes,

(03:10):
they're from lived experience. And I had a quite emotional
moment recently where I really thought about my life and
some of the big changes I've been through in the
last few years, some of the big manifestations I've had,
things I've let go of things I've overcome, just beautiful
things I get to now call my normal life. All
of that is down to my magical practice. All of

(03:33):
that is down to my magical practice, and that's what
I want for you as well. So just know that
wherever you're at right now, there is a beautiful next
level FOREW that will feel and be magical. Okay, so
let's go through the main pieces. The first piece really
is sort of something I said just now, which is
making a commitment to yourself to take yourself and your

(03:56):
magic seriously. Think about an athlete, right, Think about the
difference between somebody who goes to the gym sometimes doesn't
follow a plan, doesn't really ever research things, and just
kind of goes and does storing thing versus an athlete.
Of course, you know, the person who goes sometimes is
still going to get results, of course, but they're not

(04:18):
going to be the same as say the athlete. And
then of course there's you know, things in the middle
of that as well. Same thing with a singer, right,
somebody might sing sometimes have an okay voice and practice
a bit, versus someone who practices and takes care of
their voice and really hones their instrument. You get my
point here, right, You get out what you put in.

(04:38):
So if you're in a place where you're thinking, i'd
love to get better results from my magic, I'd love
to be having a strong practice where I really see
and feel the results. That comes down to you showing
up for yourself. That doesn't just happen by chance. It
happens by choice, right, And it's about you making a
commitment to your witchcraft and your practice that you're going
to really take it seriously. And that means taking yourself seriously.

(05:02):
So Tip number one is study. Make study a regular practice.
I would like to say daily in my own life,
I study daily. I either listen to audiobooks or you know,
sort of taking like coarse material from programs I'm taking,

(05:22):
or I learn in other ways. But every single day
I do a minimum of at the moment, it's like
thirty to maybe minimum of thirty minutes, sometimes up to
like two.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Hours if I've got the time. Now.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
The reason I do this is, you know, there's a
few reasons. The first is it keeps you fresh. You
keep learning new things which you can then apply. It
keeps you sort of, let's say, on top of your game,
don't get stale in your practice, and don't get arrogant
and complacent thinking I don't need to study, I've been
practicing a while. Don't do that. That's how you can

(05:55):
get very I would say stagnant in a lot of
areas right. Regularly studying means that you take in fresh
material all the time, you process that, you calibrate that,
and that's how you, over time, create a real depth
of wisdom in your life. I remember when I started
studying magic and witchcraft, way before social media. I was

(06:16):
just reading books in my bedroom, but I just couldn't
get enough. I would read and read and read and
just love taking that beautiful knowledge in. So again, whether
you're brand new or you're on the path, you've been
on the path for a while, make study a real commitment.
I have a whole library of classes on my website
under that learn Magic section, and you can download class

(06:37):
recordings of mine on candle magic, protection, magic, glamor Magic Prosperity,
how to design your own spells, how to take your
candle magic to the next level. Like there's tons of
classes on self concept, identity, mindset, go and check them
out this week that all buy one, get one free,
so what I would recommend to you is to create

(06:59):
like a sacred study ritual. Get yourself a few classes,
put some time aside, light a lovely candle or some incense,
get your notebook and pen out, make yourself a lovely
tea or coffee, and just dive in. Enjoy the sessions
and make notes. If you connect with other people, then
of course do the same thing. But you know, it's
really important to make time for study. Think about you

(07:22):
know again, like look at any kind of skill that
you want to develop in your life. The main thing
you can do is like study, right, is learn and
sort of of course apply things. But like learn right,
so taking classes, reading books, listening to courses instead of
just watching little videos on social media with no context
or understanding and then sort of wondering why things aren't

(07:45):
maybe working. Okay, So make study a commitment to yourself.
After I record this, I'm going to go and listen
to about our worth of classes that I'm also in
as a student as well. And that really is something
that I love doing because I noticed that that's you know,
that's something that will make a big difference over time
as well. Think about like the compounding effect, right, studying

(08:07):
thirteen minutes a day, and if that's too much for you,
by the way, let me go back. If that's too
much for you, then just do ten minutes. Just do
as much as you can. But commit to learning and
studying because over the next few months and certainly years,
you're going to shift and evolve and grow in a
way that's just incredible for you. And you'll notice that

(08:29):
the more you take things in and sort of calibrate
to them, the more effective your practice gets. Now, speaking
of practice, that's point number two. Practice practice, right, which
craft is a craft, it's something that you do, right,
spell work, it's something that you work on, so you know, again,

(08:51):
think about someone who goes to the gym regularly and
consistently versus someone who goes sometimes. And by the way,
there's no shame at this. I'm just using an example
that I hope you know shows you what I'm talking about.
The person who goes sometimes will probably have some great workouts,
but probably won't see that much of a difference.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Right.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
The person who was going regularly, taking it seriously, studying,
getting a trainer, learning, watching videos, following a plan, is
going to get much better results. A big thing about
magic as well, is like the more you do it,
the better you get at it. Really, you know, if
you're studying and you're practicing regularly, you're going to find out.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
What works for you.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
You're going to find out what you do really well.
You're going to find out what you like and what
you don't like. You're also going to get far more competent.
I was going to say confident and confident at the
same time. Anyway, I guess they're the same thing, right,
But you're going to get much more confident in your
witchcraft practice the more that you do. If you only
ever do spells when there's a big problem, or you're

(09:56):
having a wobble, or there's a drama, or there's a
big need come up, you're just not going to get
the same results in your practice as if you had
a regular, consistent practice. Okay, so really make a commitment
to start practicing magic in your daily life.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
A lot of what I.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Teach my clients and students, and a lot of what
I teach in my classes is exactly that, right. That's
why this is called magic from modern life. It's not
just about going to your alter and doing magic, which
is of course a very big part. But it's also
about your life being magical, right, doing things to really
bring magic into your life and into your day. And again,

(10:33):
the more that you do that, the more practice you do,
the stronger your practice will get. You Know, they always
say about like you know, sports stars, right, They'll say,
even when they're not let's say, competing or there's no
big games coming up, they practice every day. I don't
remember the person's name. I'm not hugely into sports, but

(10:54):
I saw something ages ago on TikTok but I loved
and it was one of the most successful I think
he was a bass player, but it was one of
the most successful basketball players ever, I think. And he
was explaining how he would practice twice a day even
when he didn't necessarily have a game coming up, because
he wanted to keep himself that sharp and his sort

(11:14):
of he wanted to keep himself that sharp, right, And
it's the same with your magic. So keep doing your spells,
your rituals, keep studying, but practice as well. Okay, Now
the next piece is so important, and this is record
and review. I do not see this talked about nearly enough.
And I'm going to just jump in and be very

(11:34):
Capricorn about this and say you need to just take
this advice, even if it doesn't resonate.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
You need to just do this. Start a book of Shadows.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
I don't care if you call it a witch's journal,
magical journal, manifestation book.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
We'll call it whatever you want.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
You need to start recording your spell work again, going
back to like the study and practice piece. You know,
what you track improves, right, what you track, So think
about the gym. If you record your workouts, you record
what exercises you did, what weights they were, what repetitions.

(12:09):
You can look back at your progress, but you can
also kind of course correct and you can sort of go, okay,
let's improve this there, let's put that up, let's do that,
and that will get you to your goals much much,
much quicker than if you are just trying to remember
everything randomly. One of the powerful benefits of having a
Book of Shadows is you write down your You write

(12:30):
down you know, when you did the spell, what you said,
what ingredients you use, what day it was, what phase
of the moon, what time, all those things, right. What
I also do in my Book of Shadows, I have
a space at the bottom of the page where I
say date of manifestation, so I leave a space for manifestation.
But I can often look back and I can say, oh, interesting,

(12:52):
that spell took maybe a week, that took two weeks,
Oh that took three weeks. Ah, interesting, And you'll notice patterns. Also,
if you have a really big, incredible, let's say, run
of good fortune, or you have a big run of
lots of good things happening, or some big beautiful manifestations,
you can often look back and go, oh, interesting, I've

(13:13):
been doing I'm going to make this up, but I've
been doing weekly good fortune spells for the last six weeks. Interesting,
And that will give you insight into what's led up
to where you are, what you can do more of,
and also what works for you. I write down in
my Book of Shadows everything from the herbs, I use,
the sigils, I make, the candle colors, I use all

(13:35):
of it, and it.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Shows me very quickly what works.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
So if I know I want to quickly go and
repeat a spell, I've already got it written down rather
than you know. And a lot of people tell me this,
they say, oh, I just do intuitive magic. I'm going
to sort of push against that a little bit and
just say get I get it. But that's probably better
when you're very, very comfortable in your practice. I would say, really,

(13:59):
it's always important to write down what you do, what
you say, the ingredients that you use, because then you've
got a record of your practice and again what works.
But then you can do the next piece here, which
is review. So you know, let's say you're looking back
at your book of Shadows and you're thinking, do you
know what things are going really well in this area?

(14:20):
Let me just focus more on this area now, like
you can sort of look back and go, oh, interesting.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
At the beginning of the year, let's say.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Money was a big issue for me, but through my magic,
through my spell work, I've cleared that debt, I've built
the savings up, I've built the good fortune up. Now
let's focus on this next thing. Let's focus on friendship. Right,
so you want to track and review regularly. The next
is upgrade and adjust. Okay, the same witchcraft that you're

(14:47):
doing at let's say twenty five is probably not going
to be the same type of witchcraft that you do
at thirty five and forty five and fifty five. It
could even be down to like this year and next year,
because it's all about in your life cycles, in your
life things you're going through, working on and what's important
to you. So sort of, you know, ask yourself, you know,

(15:10):
let's go back to an example. Actually, so let's say
you're in a situation right now and I hope this
is not the case, but let's just use this as
an example. Let's say you're in a situation right now
where you've got quite a lot of debt, they're not
making as much as you'd like, and that's a big
issue for you. Okay, So of course there's lots of
spell work you can do to like help you clear debt,

(15:31):
open up avenues to support increase prosperity. So once you've
cleared that debt up and you've built your savings up,
you don't need to really do that type of magic.
You would need to maybe focus or I would recommend
you focus more on things like stability, you know, general prosperity,
prosperity maintenance, and then you could maybe focus on another

(15:54):
area that's important to you. So again thinking about like
what's important you in your practice right now, and then
what's going to be important to you. Let's say, when
you sort that out. You might be doing a lot
of love magic, right, you might want really want to
like make some new friends or you know, be in

(16:14):
a new relationship. Well, once you've sorted those things out again,
then you might want to focus on prosperity, business, money, creativity,
like whatever it is, right, you get my point. So
it's important to kind of look at your practice periodically
and sort of get clear on what's important for me
right now, what do I want to be working on,

(16:34):
and where can I adjust my practice. You know, if
you're going through, let's say a really stressful time. Let's
say you work in that corporate job and you're going
through a really stressful time and you feel like you
need to be doing lots of cleansing and protection, lots
of like personal power work. Well, let's say that you
leave that corporate job and then you start your own
business and it's much more calmer and you're working with

(16:58):
much better people that you and you're probably not going
to be needing to do all the cleansing and protection.
So you would adjust your practice to what's important to
you at the moment, which kind of ties back beautifully
into the piece before record and review. Right, you always
want to know, really record what you're doing. And then
the bonus piece for you this week is the power

(17:19):
of your intuition. Again, this does not get talked about enough,
and I want to change that. Your intuition is such
an important part of your witchcraft practice and of manifesting
your goals and intentions for so many reasons. The truth
of the matter is, most of your big manifestations will
not necessarily happen like the thing just pops into your life,

(17:42):
or someone knocks on the door and hands you something,
or someone out of the blue emails you. It definitely
can happen, and it's happened to me. I've seen it
happen a lot. What very often will happen with your
magic is you'll do a spell and then you'll get
like an intuitive feeling to maybe go somewhere, do something,
post something, reach out to someone. Then something happens from that,

(18:04):
Then something happens from that, Then you keep taking the
next steps and then the thing manifests. So your intuition
is a really important part of manifesting your goals and
doing effective magic because really, at its call, that's understanding
that you are the magic in your own life. It's
not about wanting things to just come to you in
a passive way. It's about understanding that you're co creating

(18:27):
with your magic. Think of it like your spell work
and your magic are putting a destination in the GPS.
I think that's what they're called, that it drives putting
the destination in the GPS. Your intuition is the voice
of that GPS, right, so you are the magic. So
having a strong intuition that you're in touch with is

(18:48):
also going to really help your magic and your spell
work as well. I feel like I want to keep
going and just keep sharing what's coming to me. But
let's complete here. I hope this was helpful for you.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Two things.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
If you'd like to work with me one on one,
you can book private readings and guidance sessions, which we
can use as magical mentoring and coaching sessions as well.
You can book those using the link in the show notes,

Magic section on my website. Link is also in the
show notes. This week, from the twenty seventh to the
thirty first, all my single classes are buy one, get

(19:21):
one free. All you have to do is buy the
classes that you want and then message me the other
ones that you want as well as in the equivalent ones,
and i'll send them over to you, sending you magic blessings.
