I mean, it's just been awesome, Like this whole playoff
run has just been I don't just every single series
this this team has like just gone up a different
level just with unbelievable comebacks and just exciting victories and
playing such a fun brand of basketball. And I feel
like I'm not taking this for granted, Like it's just
I'm in the golden era right now with my fandom,
and it's been truly special to watch. And yeah, the

first time in my life my team has been in
the finals and it's been really cool.

Well, I got some you know, specific questions for you
Pacers related that we can maybe look towards through a
betting angle. And then the other member that is joining
us this is more just for comic entertainment. Here is

in the NBA. He knows more NBA players and stuff

This is why we bring Nick on. So neither of
these guys know anything really about sports, gambling or anything,
but they do know NBA. So I will throw some
things their way and then I'll kind of break it
down from a betting perspective. My first one for Tea,
let's go to you. I guess, well, first off, you

are you look at everything through a Pacers glasses all
year You've We've been on the record. We have argued
with this guy because he said that Halliburton is a
better point guard than Magic Johnson. He said that a
little bit ago. I just went like, what is the
confidence level? Can the Pacers make the series competitive?

So I'd say if if the Thunder are basically that
one team that I was terrified to play in any
sort of series, I would take the Pacers and practically
against any other team in the NBA in a series
outside the Okac Thunder, because they are literally programmed and
roster constructed to play and defend and shut down a

team like Indiana who plays fast paced, who has a
guy like Tyrese Haliburton who wants to make and distribute
to all other all of the players across the court,
and Okaysee is so well constructed to slow that down.
And they have lou Dort at the head of the
Snake who can shut down tires and make him force
him to play a little bit more passive. So I
am optimistically concerned. I it's the best way, because I

want to leave that this team can make this series
interesting and can cause okay See a lot of different problems.
And basically over these past two years, when they went
to the Eastern Conference Finals last year and now on
this run this year, they have always risen to the occasion, essentially,
whether they were underdogs or they were favored to win,

whether they were playing an injured team or a healthy team,
whether they are down nine points with forty seven seconds
left to go, they always have risen to the occasion,
and they have played up to competition when they've needed to,
and so that still gives me some optimism. And I
also really trust their coaching at Rick Carlisle, who has
that championship experience and who is fantastic on making different adjustments,

and so I give the Pacers still a very good
fighting chance to make this series competitive.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
A lot of people are saying Pacers in five.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I'm not Pacers in five thunder and five, which I
still think is very possible in happening. But I also
think that the Pacers are going to be due for
maybe at least one or two games that where they
shoot fifty maybe sixty percent from three and Tyres Alibert
has a thirty point outburst or Siakam has maybe a
thirty five point outburst, and maybe get some other contributions
from Andrew Nemhard or aaron Ne Smith like we saw

it throughout the entire playoffs. This point, we have a
whole bunch of different guys that can step up. But
then also, okay See has a lot of guys that
can step up as well, which still gives me some concerns.
But I'd say at the very least, I'd say the
Pacers can make this series go past five games and
put the pressure on Oka see in different points of
the series.

not the series, but the whole playoff run the Pacers
have had. It just reminds me of that a lot.
But I do think that the magic that we've been
seeing from the Pacers is going to come to an end,

Taking the Pacers in this series. I do like them
for a couple of games. I think they will get

think the Pacers are gonna make this more competitive than
what people say and what I think that the betting
odds suggest I might have already placed the bet for

win five. That's kind of the most popular outcome, and
then a sweep, and then it would be Oklahoma City
four two. Oklahoma City to win seven is plus four forty.
And then obviously, if you're picking any of these Pacers
to win, so Pacers to win the series plus four

to twenty if you picked it exactly correct, like Pacers
to win in seven, it's twelve to one odds in six,
eleven to one odds, et cetera. So I'm gonna give
you guys each one hundred dollars, okay, and you could
divvy it up on these correct scores however you would like, Okay.

And what I'm gonna do is, I'm gonna keep tracking
this and then postpod we'll see who makes the most money,
and we'll also do it with finals MVP, and we'll
go down the list, maybe a couple other ones. Okay,

the payout would be three sixty seven. Okay. So I'm

gonna write down sean seventy five, okayc in six and
that would be seventy five returning three sixty seven. And
then what I'm gonna do is in real life for
this game, I will say what I'm gonna do. But
this is the bet that I made. I took OKAC

because what I want to do. I think that the
Pacers are for sure gonna get one game, right, So
then if this goes to a game five, I think

hedge it a little bit, but I think that that's

five to return seventy six. So if I was doing

against my team because then if they lose, at least

and then betting twenty five on Pacers and six. I
feel like, just in general, I would be shocked if
the Pacers get closed out at home like this team
has been actually in this postseason run, they've almost been
better on the road.

But I would say just a little bit of an
interesting like fun fact, Tyre's Halliburton in terms of like
series that he's like stayed healthy and he hasn't lost
a playoff series at all, like in the one series
at the Pacers have lost so far these past two years.
It was the Boston Celtics series when he was injured
for half of it. And I don't see the team
having a bad game at home where they would get

closed out in six or even in four. But I
do think the OKC would have a hot shooting night
either in Game five or Game seven where they would
close out the Pacers. But then I could see the
Pacers also winning in six.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
The question I want to ask you because the Pacers
have been a little bit trendy when it comes to
which games they win in the series. So what has
stood out to you as far as are they good
in game one, Game two, Game three? Like? What like?
As better as like what what are the games that
we should be backing or fading Indiana like? So far

in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Yeah, the Pacers have had a really interesting sort of
layout and how they've won series. So the Pacers are
undefeated in games one and two for the entire playoffs
so far, and that comes from having those both both
of those games at home, but also at the way
they've started all three of their series up two to
zero in this playoffs, so I feel like they are

in prime position to get game one or game two.
It doesn't really matter which one, but I feel like
for for what I've seen in their playoff run, one
of those two games is going to be a hot
shooting night where they win comfortably.

And but then also one of.

Those games has been those crazy comebacks that they have
had at least one time in uh in at least
one time in the playoff series where you had the
crazy comeback against the Knicks with the crazy tiers Halbert
and buzzer Beater, but then also in the Cavs series.
So I would look for the Pacers to possibly jump
out on ok see Strong in game one?

I feel like that's pretty big.

It's I kind of like, I kind of like Pacers
in game one. I don't know, Okay, this is what
else I want to do? You can do it all

fifty and fifty on NBA Finals MVP. Okay, so Shay
is the overwhelming favorite, which this doesn't make any sense

to me. People don't don't bet this in real life.
This is just a little lesson for you. You could
bet the Oklahoma City Thunder okay to win the to
win the title at minus eight thirty three, and Shay
is minus nine oh nine to win MVP. So this
is basically saying that, like you have to pay an

additional seventy cents for the fact that like maybe SGA
wins it, even if the Pacers win, which I just
don't see. I don't see that happening, So I just
would never bet a minus nine oh nine favorite. So like,
let's say if you put all one hundred dollars on this,
you would win eleven bucks.

Eleven, okay, so you get all. You can make a
one bet of one hundred or two for fifty if
you had to divvy it up, and then we got
Halliburton plus four twenty five, Pascal Siakam plus one thousand,
Jalen Williams plus twenty one hundred, chet Holmgrin forty nine
to one, Miles Turner one twenty four to one. Okay,
So you got a hundred bucks. You can do it
in one hundred dollars bet or break it up two

Yeah, I'll lead us off on this one. Sean, you
made a good observation about the shay thing. There's no
real point in betting it. But also there's no point
in betting any other OKC player to win finals MVP.
I don't see any world where any other OKC thunder
player wins finals MVP. Okay, So with that logic, I'm
just gonna stay away from OKC. And I think that
they're kind of they're kind of priming Haliburton to win

finals MVP by giving that Eastern Conference Finals MVP to
Pascal Siakam. That was kind of surprising to me. Go
watch the tape. Who's hitting the game winners, tyres Alliburton.
So if you're giving me one hundred dollars, I'm gonna
go ahead and put fifty on ty Reese and then
I'm just gonna slap fifty on Pascal cause I think
that is probably the best way to go about spending

my money. I'm going for big booms and I'm gonna
live with the losses.

like seems betting SGA just isn't even worth it and

where I bet Tyrese Haliburn and Pascal Siakam was at

But I will say though, I feel like Pascal Siakam,
if the Pacers are to win this series, he's gonna
have to have monster games because he's that one like
isolation score that can take advantage of like mismatches. That's
something that Pacers are really good as long as they
can make those entry passes. That okay, So he always
tries to break up. Pascal Siakam should be able to
take whatever defender he has on him one v one

and even either be able to beat him to the
rim or shoot over the top of him. So I
feel like Siakam is primed to have a better series,
possibly than Tyrese, because Tyres will all will be facing
lou Dort and a lot of other defenders that are
gonna be top notch.

But I could see that going either way.

Okay, well, I'm gonna do a little math. So because
you guys did that, I'm gonna I'm gonna do a
little math for you. Okay, this is what I'm gonna do,
just for the sake of this. Okay, I'm gonna put
ninety one. I know I'm going against my own rules.
I'm gonna put ninety one on SGA. Okay, ninety one
to win ten bucks, okay, and then happy with my

other nine dollars. I'm gonna put nine dollars on Jalen Williams.

crazy and he has been the true number too.

I could see I could see them putting all of
their efforts into trying to slow down SGA, which you know,

can say some crazy stuff you can say, and a
majority of these games he may have outperformed.

Here's a question for you, if like Sga rolls an
ankle and misses a couple of games, yeah, and that,
I still think the Thunder could still win the series.
And then you're looking at a nice number two.

You never know, you're looking at a great number. And
this number looks great right now.

Nobody nobody thought. Nobody thought was gonna get it over Halibert.

Okay, let's see here. You know there's all these like
most made threes in the series. I don't know, Halliburton
the favorite there and the Nie Smith lou gets what
a name by the way, Sga, Miles Turner, I don't know.

I don't know these teams well enough for most assists
Haliburton minus four hundred, uh most points in the series,
Shay is you can't even better? Right now, he's minus
ten thousand. Again, what if he like gets rolls an
inkle or something.

It's not out of the realm of possibility.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Most rebounds chet way up there, that.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
Could be that could be a really interesting one.

I'd say a dark horse for for rebounds Tyre's Halliburt.
He led the Pacers in rebounds in their series against
the Knicks. So I'd say that's like it's a long shot,
but you never know, because Tyreus always likes to grab
those defensive rebounds and then quickly.

Push it, push the paint. We'll push the pace all
the way up the court.

And so I would say that's something that is a
dark horse contender.

Aaron Ne Smith possibly. So the big thing that the
Thunder is that the thunders weaknesses in their defense is
they give up a lot of corner threes and aaron
Ne Smith in particular feasts on corner threes in particular,
and we saw like he can get hot and milestern
is well, I'd say both of those guys, like Miles Turner,
he's either gonna take a three point shot like at

the top of like that's what.

The TLEs did theles they like, they just packed the
paint and made the tables jack threes, you know. Yeah,
and they did not shoot the ball very well.

Yeah, I could see Miles turn hasn't shot the three
point ball particularly well in this playoff series, but I
could I'm definitely getting hot if he's left wide open
and he shoots those threes in the corners and also
at the top of the three point line as well.
So I'd say aaron Ne Smith and Myles Turner were
probably the two role players with the best odds in
my opinion.

most rebounds. This is the one that I kind of
wanted to like, I over under five and a half
games in the series. Over five and a half is
plus one oh two? Is that you don't even have
to worry about who it is. It's like, we just
got to go to game six. I don't know. I
think everyone wants to root for like a fun, competitive series,
So that could be a bet over five and a

see this series going past five.

year You've We've been on the record. We have argued
with this guy because he said that Halliburton is a
better point guard than Magic Johnson. He said that a
little bit ago. I just went like, what is the
confidence level? Can the Pacers make the series competitive?

So I'd say if if the Thunder are basically that
one team that I was terrified to play in any
sort of series, I would take the Pacers and practically
against any other team in the NBA in a series
outside the Okac Thunder, because they are literally programmed and
roster constructed to play and defend and shut down a

team like Indiana who plays fast paced, who has a
guy like Tyrese Haliburton who wants to make and distribute
to all other all of the players across the court,
and Okaysee is so well constructed to slow that down.
And they have lou Dort at the head of the
Snake who can shut down tires and make him force
him to play a little bit more passive. So I
am optimistically concerned. I it's the best way, because I

want to leave that this team can make this series
interesting and can cause okay See a lot of different problems.
And basically over these past two years, when they went
to the Eastern Conference Finals last year and now on
this run this year, they have always risen to the occasion, essentially,
whether they were underdogs or they were favored to win,

whether they were playing an injured team or a healthy team,
whether they are down nine points with forty seven seconds
left to go, they always have risen to the occasion,
and they have played up to competition when they've needed to,
and so that still gives me some optimism. And I
also really trust their coaching at Rick Carlisle, who has
that championship experience and who is fantastic on making different adjustments,

and so I give the Pacers still a very good
fighting chance to make this series competitive.

A lot of people are saying Pacers in five.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I'm not Pacers in five thunder and five, which I
still think is very possible in happening. But I also
think that the Pacers are going to be due for
maybe at least one or two games that where they
shoot fifty maybe sixty percent from three and Tyres Alibert
has a thirty point outburst or Siakam has maybe a
thirty five point outburst, and maybe get some other contributions
from Andrew Nemhard or aaron Ne Smith like we saw

it throughout the entire playoffs. This point, we have a
whole bunch of different guys that can step up. But
then also, okay See has a lot of guys that
can step up as well, which still gives me some concerns.
But I'd say at the very least, I'd say the
Pacers can make this series go past five games and
put the pressure on Oka see in different points of
the series.

for half of it. And I don't see the team
having a bad game at home where they would get

closed out in six or even in four. But I
do think the OKC would have a hot shooting night
either in Game five or Game seven where they would
close out the Pacers. But then I could see the
Pacers also winning in six.

The question I want to ask you because the Pacers
have been a little bit trendy when it comes to
which games they win in the series. So what has
stood out to you as far as are they good
in game one, Game two, Game three? Like? What like?
As better as like what what are the games that
we should be backing or fading Indiana like? So far

in the playoffs.

Yeah, the Pacers have had a really interesting sort of
layout and how they've won series. So the Pacers are
undefeated in games one and two for the entire playoffs
so far, and that comes from having those both both
of those games at home, but also at the way
they've started all three of their series up two to
zero in this playoffs, so I feel like they are

in prime position to get game one or game two.
It doesn't really matter which one, but I feel like
for for what I've seen in their playoff run, one
of those two games is going to be a hot
shooting night where they win comfortably.

had at least one time in uh in at least
one time in the playoff series where you had the

tries to break up. Pascal Siakam should be able to
take whatever defender he has on him one v one

feel like Siakam is primed to have a better series,
possibly than Tyrese, because Tyres will all will be facing

Haliburton minus four hundred, uh most points in the series,
Shay is you can't even better? Right now, he's minus
ten thousand. Again, what if he like gets rolls an
inkle or something.

Most rebounds chet way up there, that.

He led the Pacers in rebounds in their series against
the Knicks. So I'd say that's like it's a long shot,
but you never know, because Tyreus always likes to grab
those defensive rebounds and then quickly.

the way up the court.

And so I would say that's something that is a
dark horse contender.

Aaron Ne Smith possibly. So the big thing that the
Thunder is that the thunders weaknesses in their defense is
they give up a lot of corner threes and aaron
Ne Smith in particular feasts on corner threes in particular,
and we saw like he can get hot and milestern
is well, I'd say both of those guys, like Miles Turner,
he's either gonna take a three point shot like at

the top of like that's what.

The TLEs did theles they like, they just packed the
paint and made the tables jack threes, you know. Yeah,
and they did not shoot the ball very well.

Yeah, I could see Miles turn hasn't shot the three
point ball particularly well in this playoff series, but I
could I'm definitely getting hot if he's left wide open
and he shoots those threes in the corners and also
at the top of the three point line as well.
So I'd say aaron Ne Smith and Myles Turner were
probably the two role players with the best odds in
my opinion.

would say he could. He has the capabilities of bursting
for thirty points, so he's done it.

before this year started that he was comparing him to Kobe.

there a match up here because you can bet all
of these guys points per game in the series, and
like assists per game, Siakam points per game. Is there
a matchup that you think is either good for Indiana
or bad for Indiana that we could take advance of
a matchup that's you know, an Okay See guy that

you like or Indiana pacer guy that I mean. We
talked about the Nie Smith threes and the I mean,
do we maybe like a Nie Smith or Miles Turner
points in the series over or something like? What what
do you think?

I think from what I've like heard, I think the
Pacers front court is prime to have a good series,
and so I would say either Myles Turner or Pascal Siakam,
particularly betting on Pascal Siakam to have an over on
his points whatever.
Speaker 5 (27:30):
That is, because like I said, he's gonna be the
one that can.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Take off those matchups.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Yeah, I would definitely.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
I would definitely go for the he averaged twenty four
in the Eastern Conference Finals. I feel like that would continue,
uh in my best bet.

Plus, I think that I think these I'm going I'm
going Pacers in the over in game one. I think
both of these teams like to like to push the pace. Yeah,
and uh, okay, see, I mean everyone talks about Indiana
and how they like to go up and down, but okay,
See does it and they do it even better than Indiana.
So I don't know, man, I think we're gonna see
a lot of points. Okay, So we're gonna siakam over

nineteen and a half points per game in the series, Nick,
what about you? You got anything? You you said just
Shay overs but it's thirty three and a half points. Yeah.

They set the line really tough. But every time I
want to bet against it and take the under, he
goes over.

Okay, here's my question. Do we see Haliburton being more
of a scorer or facilitator of this year?
Speaker 4 (28:28):
Facilitator for sure, he's facilitating this series. I think t
nailed it home this.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Over nine and a half assists per game.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
And that's a top line there.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Plus one fifteen unders minus won sixty seven. So they're
saying that he's gonna average probably nine and hit under this.

I would take the over. I would take the over
on that for sure, and I honestly wouldn't feel bad
about it. I would feel really good walking away from
the kiosk knowing I placed that bed.

Number of game winning field goals as time expires? Will
there be one buzzer beater to one odds? I don't know.
I don't like that. I don't like that one because
you're in the time expires thing is kind of bullshit
because you can make the shot if there's like point
three left, your bed doesn't count.

Yeah, I think you stay away from that.

It should be like under five seconds or something. Yeah.
Will there be an overtime game plus three twenty? I

Yeah, I mean you just look at where they're setting
the line for these games, and those seem pretty hard
to reach.

Yeah, okay, fellas, I think we just broke it down
pretty well. I got six minutes before I got to

And I uh, let's hope that we have a series
that goes six or more pacers and six Yeah, it's ye.

At the very least, just have it to be a
