Speaker 1 (00:00):
You rent that, young Nah No, I own it.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
That's how I feel about this weekend.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Pay him, pay that, me and his money joy it.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
While last gambling gods fickle bunch.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Oh yeah, so easily offended.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Welcome into the Make It Rainy Podcast. I'm your host,
Sean Rainey, sponsored by sports Bet Montana. Recording this about
one on a Friday afternoon. We've got the research in.
We're ready and locked and loaded for NFL Week four
and also gonna talk some cats and grizz feel a
little bit stronger about some of our selections this week
in college football compared to last week. Those were some

(00:38):
pretty big spreads last week and don't like touching those
very often. Also quick note for those that do, Like,
if you're placing more than three to five bets a weekend,
I would I would suggest that you track it, like
if you're if you're not just doing like all right,

(00:59):
I'm just gonna play couple of parlays and sit back
and use it as entertainment and have fun. Like that's
one thing. But if you're placing you know, five plus
bets on sides, totals, props, that kind of stuff, and
you're you know, trying to bet every single weekend to
make money as the NFL or college football season goes along.
I really suggest tracking your bets and tracking them based

(01:19):
on the category that they're in and and then finding
out which your what are your strengths are because I'm
going to go through last week.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
So last week on the pod, okay, I gave.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Out you know, leans or picks for every single game
and then I do you know, a pick them with
my buddies where we literally just have to force pick
every single side, right, and last week I went six
and nine picking all of the sides, but I went
we went six. We hit six out of eight out
of our teaser legs, which I told all of you guys.

(01:56):
We gave out the eight. The ones that didn't hit
were Green Bay and it but Pats up to seven
and a half, Texans up to seven and a half,
Rams up to eight and a half, which again that
Rams game obviously everyone talking about the worst beat of forever.
I like the Rams plus three and a half, but
sometimes I don't like that extra variance of having that
weird stuff happening, and so that's why I like to

(02:18):
push it up to eight and a half. And so
we hit on that we got Denver up to eight
and a half, Kansas City money line and Seattle down
to two and a half. So we made money because
I round robin the eight legs and six of the
eight hit.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
And so we're good to go. Also went sixteen to
nine in props.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
So I've always known that, like, I'm much more like
if I had to do like a straight up record
on props compared to like sides or totals, I'm far
and away way better in props because to me, like
there's just less less variants, there's less information out there,
Like these lines are pretty tight on the totals and
on the sides and stuff, but like with props, you

(02:59):
can you can and find things a lot easier in
my opinion. And so sixteen in nine and props last week.
Don't have as many props this week, but just something
to keep in mind, like keep track of your stuff
and then find like, hey, I'm really good at this.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
I'm really good at that.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
You know, you might have a favorite team that plays
in a certain division and maybe you're just really good
at betting that division, or you see it blindly because
you're a fan of that and you're better at picking
other stuff, you know, like, just find what you're good
at and kind of stick to it. Like you don't
have to bet every single game. You don't have to
bet every little thing. Just find your strengths and play
to your strengths. It's kind of the lesson of the day. Okay,

(03:37):
as far as college goes, I have a couple of
strong convictions on this one.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Montana.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
The big Game Montana, Idaho opened up at six and
a half and over under fifty four and a half,
and then it opened up at other books that like
Idaho U plus fourteen and a half, and then it
moved to plus ten and a half on sports bet
Montana and that's where it sits with the over under
at fifty four four and a half. I like Idaho
getting ten and a half points.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Now.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
I do think people need to be careful because everyone
just wants to look at the the FBS games and
compare it to that. There's so many times in these
non conference where teams will be playing FBS and then
they get into conference and they're not actually that good.
Because if you look at Idaho's FCS games, not good
at all. Like Saint Thomas at Home was they won

(04:25):
by a touchdown. They're not any good. And Utah Tech
at home it was twenty to nine. They weren't in
Utah Tech sucks, so they kind of have been playing
up to their competition. Lost by three to Washington State
and to San Jose State. But just style wise, I
think that this is going to pose some issues for Montana.
I think Idaho is pretty good up front on both

(04:47):
sides of the ball, and I think that's where Montana
struggles a little bit. I think Idaho's going to be
able to stop Montana's rushing attack, make them beat him
through the air, which I think there might be some.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Just not I don't.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
I just don't think they're gonna get a ton of
huge plays. I think it's goud be pretty inconsistent through
the through the passing game. I see it going a
lot like the North Coda game, to be honest. And
then Idaho offensively, they like to run it a lot.
Their quarterback is gonna run it twenty times in this game,
I think. And they're really good at like just picking
up three four yards on first down and on second down,
and they're just trying to get to like third and five,

(05:22):
third and four, so then they could just run in
on third, run it on fourth, and pick up the chains.
Like they're not a big, like huge yardage chunk team,
Like they're just trying to get first downs and have
third and shorts and fourth and shorts and then they
will go for it. So I just see them holding
the clock and kind of being a game much like
the twenty twenty two game where they came in and

(05:43):
there were not a lot of possessions in the game
and it was very low scoring. So give me Idaho
and the under fifty four and a half in this one.
I do think the Griz will win, but I can
see them winning kind of like twenty six to twenty three.
That's what I'm going with. Twenty six twenty three is
my prediction. As far as the Cats game, I think
that's twenty points as well. I'm gonna take Eastern Washington

(06:04):
twenty two and a half point underdogs. Yes, they're winning
three on the year, but I mean they went on
the road to Incarnate Word, who's the top ten team,
lost by ten, They lost by three to Northern Iowa,
and then they lost to Boise and then they smoked
Western Illinois. So I just think Twenty two and a
half is way too many points for a Montana State
team who isn't super dynamic yet on offense. And if

(06:26):
they are working things on offense, it's gonna be on
the ground. And twenty two and a half that's just
a lot. Like you could be down four touchdowns and
score one late and backdoor like that's twenty two and
a half points is a lot, and Eastern's not that bad.
So I'm taking I'm taking both road teams against the
Cats and the Grizz this weekend. All right, let's get
into it with the NFL. Let's just go. I'll start

(06:51):
with my the rain Maker parlays. Let me load up
sports bet here, and then we'll go through each game.
It's gonna be fun baseball on the horizon in a
lot of good games have been on this week. So
if you can never find the Raymaker Specials, they're just
if you go on to sports bet, they're just under
specials and then futures and then NFL Boosts. That's where

(07:13):
all the NFL ones live. And uh, we got a
couple out this week, three of them actually, So we
have a prop one, the prop one we're going Daniel
Jones over two hundred and sixteen and a half passing yards.
I think the Colts are going to be down against
the Rams, and they haven't been down a lot this season,
so I think he's gonna be forced to pass, and
that is how you beat the Rams, not on the ground.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Chuba Hubbard over sixteen and a half.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Receiving yards going against the Patriots who give up a
lot of receptions to their running backs, and they're injured
on the wide wide receiver coming into this one, and
so I think Tuba was gonna get a lot of
carry carries and receptions. So we're going over sixty and
a half receiving yards. Chase Brown under fifty five and
a half rushing yards. That's on Monday, and then Cam

(07:58):
Scattabo over seven and a half rushing and receiving yards.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
I think he's gonna be heavily involved in a lot of.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
RPO type stuff and dump offs from Jackson Dark. He
went way over this against the Chiefs, who have a
much better run defense than the Chargers, so I think
Scottabo will be heavily involved. And then Chase Brown is
kind of like your Monday Night one. They I mean,
they can't run the ball and Denver's defense is good.
So we just hope all those live and then we
get hedge out on Chase Brown if we want. As

(08:26):
for the two other rain Makers, we go in Minnesota.
Vikings minus two and a half on the road taking
on the Steelers. I guess that's in Ireland. The Giants
moved him up to plus ten and a half. Thought
about just doing it at seven and a half, but
just moving it up to ten and a half against
my Chargers. Look, I've got a pretty good feel for
the Chargers this one. They could have three linemen out

(08:48):
in this one. Giants are good on the d line,
and we don't know what we're gonna get from Dark
and I think there's gonna be a lot of energy
in that building. And I think the Giants are a
little bit better than what they were last week with
Russell Wilson. And this is kind of a letdown spot
for the Chargers. Right three and zero, coming off of
three straight division games. Now you go cross country playing
the morning game against the Giants, where your weakness is

(09:11):
their strength. I just think this is a bad spot
for the Chargers. And they give me the Jacksonville Jaguars
plus three and a half taking on the Niners. Niners
beat up Jags playing well. They're better defensively, much better
defensively than people think, and I think they'll have a
chance to win this game. So I like them at
three and a half. And then we just threw out
a Monday night game Jets plus three and a half,

(09:33):
hoping that those first three legs hit and then we
can hedge out of the Jets if we want. The
other one is the Eagles minus two and a half.
Moved them from three and a half to two and
a half against the Bucks, the Rams down to two
and a half at home against the Colts, the Ravens
two and a half against the Chiefs, and then the
Packers six.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
And a half on Monday Night.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
So kind of all a lot of favorites there. That's
plus nine hundred, the Vikings one is plus nine fifty,
and the Props plus fourteen hundred. So put ten bucks
on each. You just need one to hit and then
we're making money. We'll go through each one of those
games individually as we fire through them right now. But yeah,
let's do it. Vikings Steelers. Yeah, I like the Vikings here.

(10:11):
I just I don't think the Steelers are any good.
I think this is just bullied by their record, and
I think the Vikings are gonna be all over them.
I think Aaron Rodgers is gonna struggle with that pressure.
Really like the Vikings under field goal. Washington taking on Atlanta.
So this is kind of interesting because I in our
Discord channel, I told everyone last week on the look aheadline,

(10:32):
Atlanta was plus two and a half and I said, hey,
they're two and a half right now, move them up
to seven and a half and pair it with a
money line or a different teaser that leg that you like.
Because now the Atlanta Falcons are minus two and a
half and I already bet it at them at plus
money too when I printed this off yesterday, they're at plus.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
One and a half.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Now they're minus two and a half. Give me Atlanta
at home and the bounce back usually when you when
you zigzag off of when a team is shut out
like that, and now they're at home, I'm just gonna
go with Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Here.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Saints taking on the Bills number plus fifteen and a half.
You're a psycho if you're betting on the spread in
this one. I don't know coin flip, but give me
a lave over fifty nine and a half receiving yards.
I think they're just gonna be bounced down by a lot.
He could get most of that in the fourth quarter.
Brown's on the road taking on the Lions. Brown's ten
and a half point underdogs. I probably lean to the

(11:28):
Browns getting ten and a half points here, but not
a strong lean and I don't have a ton of
props in this one. Maybe Judkins over thirteen and a
half carries. We hit that last week. I told you
I love that at ten and a half, and I
laddered that all the way up to nineteen and you
finished with eighteen carries. So Judkins with a lot of
carries won me that. But if they get down by

(11:49):
a million here, I don't know. Eagles on the road
taking on the Bucks three and a half. Like I said,
we moved the Eagles down to minus two and a half.
When it's these three and a half's, I just don't
I really don't like betting the three in the half
with the hook, so I'm just gonna move the Eagles
down to two and a half. I know it's a
kind of a tough matchup with Tampa Bay. They've lost
to him the last couple of times. I think that'll

(12:09):
be on their mind. But Tampa Bay's kind of banged up,
and I think it kind of comes to a head
this week. They're also you know, three and zero, but
game winning drives at the end of all of these.
I think this is one that the Eagles get. Panthers
on the road taking on the Patriots. Panthers plus five
and a half in this one, I would say, I

(12:31):
guess give me the Panthers, Like I don't think what
I've seen from the Patriots that they should be laying
this many points. Do like to chew up over sixteen
and a half receiving that's in the rain maker and
his over seventy two and a half combo yards, and
then give me Hunter Henry over forty one and a
half receiving yards as he's kind of been a go
to guy for Drake May and Carolina not good at

(12:54):
guarding the tight end position. Tennessee Titans on the road
taking on the Houston Texans. I would take Tennessee with
the points, but this is probably just a move. Tennessee
down to minus two and a half home oh and
three all in desperation game. I take Houston here, and

(13:15):
I've been on my boy Elk I you Manner, the
rookie receiver for the Titans. We've been on him every
single week and he's gone over his receiving prop and
it's still at thirty three and a half. So we're
just gonna take that. Chargers taking on the Giants, this
is one six and a half point favorites. I would
just lean to the Giants in the under in this one.
I think the Chargers might be a little lethargic on offense,

(13:36):
and I don't think there's gonna be too many points.
But give me scatterbo over, you know, seventy seven and
a half combined yards like I mentioned already. And then
I think Jackson Dart rushing could be a ladder. He's
at thirty three and a half rushing yards. They've only
been bringing him in in these games to carry the football,
and so we don't know. I mean, he could run it.

(13:58):
I wouldn't be surpri he runs it fifteen times in
this one, like we have no idea. And so when
we don't have any idea, that's when I kind of
like doing some of these ladders because he could easily
run for sixty seventy yards in this and we just
don't know. But I like him over twelve and a
half yards for the longest rush. I think he's gonna

(14:19):
keep one of these RPOs and he'll just get, you know,
fifteen yards or so. Colts on the Rams. I like
the Rams in this one. They're at home playing well.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Colts.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
They're good, but they're a little fugaisy. But I do
like Daniel Jones over two hundred and sixteen and half
passing yards. Give me Michael Pittman over fifty three receiving yards.
Give me Kyeren Williams over seventy and a half rushing
yards in this one. I think they'll get pretty effective there.
Like Jags three and a half against the Niners. Already
told you I like the Jags in this one. Probably
a spot where Brian Thomas Junior gets going over fifty

(14:49):
two and a half receiving yards, a little bounce back spot.
Ravens Chiefs. I feel less strongly about this than I
did in the Getting in the week, but I'm still
gonna be on the Ravens here. I just think that
they're more explosive on offense and just have the better
team than the Chiefs. I know it's an arrowhead, and

(15:10):
I've also not I I am very confident in the
Rams to cover the two and a half. When we're
going back to the rain Maker, I'm very confident the
Rams cover the two and a half against the Colts.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Could be slightly iffy.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
I guess with the Bucks and the Eagles, and so
both of those are at two and a half. So
what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put a little
bit more on the rain Maker than I normally do.
I'm gonna put like, so there, this is a lesson
here that rain Makers plus nine hundred, right, so let
me click it in here. Let me put like twenty
five on it. Okay, twenty five to win two fifty. Okay,

(15:46):
So what I'm gonna do then is I'm gonna put
twenty five on the Chiefs up to eight and a
half and the Bucks up to eight and a half
twenty five And that's even money minus one O two
twenty five to win twenty five. So that way, if yes,

(16:08):
there is a world in which you know, like let's
say the Ravens blow out the Chiefs and then the
Bucks beat the Eagles that you lose both of those bets,
but I think both of those could be close games,
and you're getting the home team with points. They just
have to lose by a touchdown and there's a good

(16:30):
chance you can middle that. And I've been doing that.
I did that with Seattle. I had Seattle paired, I
bet Seattle money line, and then that moved up to
two and a half, and then I took Arizona up
to seven and a half. They were able to middle,
so I was able to middle that.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
So we're gonna risk it.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
We're gonna put It'll be fifty bucks on it, but
we're hoping that. You know, the Eagles and Ravens could
both win by three to eight points, and then we
can hit. We can hit both, but just in case
one of those teams wins, you know, hopefully then we
at least we don't lose money and we get that
twenty five dollars back Bears Raiders. I don't have a

(17:11):
strong feel this one. I initially said Bears, but now
I kind of lean Raiders. I do think we're gonna
get some points in this one, and I like both
quarterback passing props over Caleb over two thirty five that
was in our rain maker last week. That one sailed
over could have it would have been over by one
hundred and fifty yards. I think part of why this
numbers at two thirty five is just because Dallas Cede

(17:32):
got hurt and so the Bears kind of just sat
on the ball in the fourth quarter. I think Caleb
could throw for three hundred in this one. I also
like Geno over two fifty two, and then give me
their kind of number one options that they're throwing to
over Jacobe Myers over sixty five and Roma Dunese over
sixty three and a half. I think the Packers are
gonna kill the Cowboys six and a half point favorites.

(17:53):
Give me Matthew Golden over forty four and a half
receiving yards. Jets Dolphins three and a half. I guess
Jets with getting the three and a half, but don't
like that. That's a gross Monday Night games Jets Dolphins gross.
Bengals Broncos gross. Like I said, give me Brown under
fifty five and a half rushing yards there, I don't know.

(18:13):
I guess i'd lean Bengals plus seven and a half.
Not super high on Denver, as a lot of people know,
but I don't know. As far as teaser legs go.
We'll move the Broncos down to two and a half.
We'll pair that with the Texans down to two and
a half. We will take the I think that's it.

(18:39):
I don't think there's a lot of teaser legs this week.
And then we're just gonna do that Chiefs Bucks one.
And then let's move the Jags there plus three and
a half. I already bet the Jags a little bit
at three and a half. Let's move the Jags up
to eight and a half and pair that with Packers
money line.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
How about that. That's a good one. I like that,
So let's do that too. All right, good luck.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
We'll talk to some MLB playoffs as well as NFL
Week five in college football next week.
