Speaker 1 (00:00):
Do you rent that? Young? Nah? No, I own it.
That's how I feel about this weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Pay him paid that me and his money.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Joy it wild, last gambling gods, fickle bunch, oh so
easily offended.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Welcome into the Make It Rainy Podcast. I'm your host,
Sean Rainey, sponsored by sports Bet Montana. All lines, all totals,
all props that we talk about, all will be coming
from sports Bet Montana and we have a very.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Special episode today.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
It's been me all season long, flying solo, and today
we are joined by none other than my co host
of the last couple of years, Zach Caplan from North Carolina.
But we also have Benjamin Wyman are our news anchor.
And the reason I'm having these guys on is because
we've been doing a picks contest all season long, picking

(00:56):
every single game against the spread, and it's just created
a lot of a good discussion and I wanted that
to kind of, you know, flow into this podcast because
we're kind of three betters that are all at different levels.
I've been doing it a little bit longer than everyone
and look at things a little bit differently. Uh, Zach
has been gambling for I don't know how long Zach

(01:18):
four five, five, six years.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I'd say six going on six years.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Now, and he's got his style.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
And then Ben's kind of just he doesn't actually gamble,
but he's been like paying attention to it. But he's
kind of more of your just like casual guy.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
But he's been, uh, and who's one who's winning. Just
want to make sure everyone's aware of it.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
And he's ahead of us in the picks right now,
as you will, hear multiple times from him.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Just want to make sure that's clear.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
But he's got a different kind of way of approaching
things as well, so it'll be it'll be good as
we break down this.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
First off, Zach, attack floor is yours man?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
How you doing.

Speaker 6 (01:49):
I'm good, Uh, just living out uh down east literally
uh all the way back in the East coast. That's uh,
it's pretty chilly here right now. You know, I don't
know how cold it is in Missoula, but it's uh
we're getting to Montana like weather here even though it's December.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
But we're doing well. Obviously, I miss everyone.

Speaker 6 (02:09):
Back in the Treasure State and I hope everyone is
doing well, staying warm this time of year. Uh, busy
with the FCS, playoffs, I know, but miss miss.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Everyone out there.

Speaker 7 (02:19):
Zach, tell tell the folks what you covered like on
Tuesday night, Like we I know you love the Grizz
and the Cats and you know the high school scene here,
but like, what were you covering literally.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
On Tuesday night? Wednesday night? Wednesday? Excuse me?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yeah, I was in I was in Chapel Hill. Uh
acc SEC challenge.

Speaker 6 (02:36):
Got to sneak over to the Dean Dome for Alabama
North Carolina.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Great atmosphere. Only one team.

Speaker 6 (02:42):
Showed up, so that was you know, there were supposed
to be two teams there, but only Alabama really showed up. Uh,
it's been awesome, and you know, the fans here, you know,
it's it's just a lot different of a sports uh
dynamic where you know, you have the teams close by
and and it certainly makes things interesting with just so
many more teams to follow. But it's you know, you know,

(03:06):
it's been awesome here. It's you know, definitely a lot
more hectic at times, but I appreciate it. I missed
the people out west. The weather here's a little nicer,
I will take that, but it's, uh, it was a
good time. Wednesday night, a busy day we had signing
day two.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Ben, Okay, all right, that's we got it. That's enough.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
We appreciate it, Zach. We got to get through this, dude.
You're on a timer. All right, here we go. Let's
we have to start with FCS Montana Grizzlies taken on
South Dakota State. The line is twenty one and a
half over under forty six and a half. When I
say that to you, guys, I mean I know where
I kind of stand and lean. But Zact, let's start

(03:46):
with you. Any initial thoughts. I know you haven't been
following as closely as when you were here, but you've
still been following it pretty closely.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
Yeah, I've tried to keep an eye on it. Sorry,
we're starting about Montana, right.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
There's son of the grizz Yeah, pay attention here.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
I don't know if I can pick them in good
faith here. I really just what you know. I know
the weather is supposed to be a little nicer. I
don't know who that helps, honestly, but I know, you
know when we were texting.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
About it, I know I said I was figured.

Speaker 6 (04:17):
It'd be like seventeen, but to see it open that high,
I think the sports books know something I don't, and
I feel like I gotta.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
Go with the Jacks here, Ben I and again Sean
kind of introed it well that I'm I'm definitely the
least experienced gambler out of the two of you. We we
talked about this line twenty and a half comparison to
the Brawl line. So let me ask you this, does
Sportsman Montana because this line is twenty one and a half.

(04:46):
The brawl was what opened up at seventeen and sixteen
and six and a half? Does that mean that they
think that the jack Rabbits are better than the Cats?

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Is that how I would read that? Nothing?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yeah, That's that's what the line suggests.

Speaker 7 (04:58):
So I'll definitely take the Jack, I would say, because
the way that we saw that Montana Grizzly team, the
offense really the last couple of games has just been
non existent. You're not gonna have Junior Bergen two touchdowns
against the two time defending national champions. Uh, It'll be
an interesting ball game, I think for about a half
and then South Dakota State will runn away with it.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Yeah, that's I just don't think Montang is gonna be
able to score the South Coda State team. While they
graduated a lot of people offensively, their defense, I mean,
you know, they lost some guys too, but they're still
only giving up less than ten points a game to
FCS opponents. And the way that this Grizz offense is going,
like this South Coast State defense is better than Montana
State's defense and they only score eleven against the Cats,

(05:39):
I just don't see them there. Their team total is
twelve and a half.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
What are you thinking is.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
So like like they're gonna have to to be able
to cover this, Like, you know, I think the Griz
defense will hang in there a little bit. I think
if they're gonna cover, it's gonna be like a like
a twenty four to seven type of deal in my opinion.
But I just don't have faith that they're going to score,
So I would lean South Dakosta State. As for Montana State,

(06:06):
we'll just kind of go quickly here, Cats minus eighteen
and a half over Utam Martin. You know, Skyhawks have
the best run defense in the FCS, which is kind
of a fun little storyline and tidbit with this game,
obviously with Montana State rushing the ball, but you're telling
me that the U Team Martin line is similar to

(06:28):
the grizz line.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
I gotta take Montana State minus eighteen and a half, Zach.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
Yeah, I think they're on I think they're on a
war path this year. I think a nice boost this week.
I don't know how the shit it was over in
that camp, but just to know that Brend Degan is,
you know, not being qloted, like like the rumors of
him potentially taking an on West job at least at
this point are unfounded.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
I think that's a boost for them as if they
really needed it. And I like the cast as well.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Yeah, and I also saw I was like, I think
it was like seated teams. I've only lost like a
handful of times in the second round in the last decade,
Like it doesn't happen.

Speaker 7 (07:04):
Kind of a cool little thing with Tommy Mellott's first
ever start was in the playoffs four years ago against
UT Martin when they made that incredible run. So he
gets to start his last run as a Cat against
that same squad in Bozeman.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
Cats roll easily in this game.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Okay, let's dive into the NFL.

Speaker 7 (07:20):
Now, do you have the do you have the records
in front of you.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Can we just point that out. It's but I just
want to make sure everyone's clear.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
It's on my phone.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
I've got some like two.

Speaker 7 (07:31):
Quote unquote you know, experienced gamblers and on my phone
kicking your guys' butts. Okay, let me what I go
last week like eleven and three, twelve and twelve and.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Three lucky all right, Ben's one hundred and fourteen and
seventy six on the air. I'm one hundred and four
and eighty six, and Zach is one on one in
eighty nine. So first off, good bye us. We're all
h thirteen or yeah, twelve over is the worst that
we have. I was listening to a podcast today not
gonna out, but it's like a well known national one,

(08:01):
and this the guy was like thirteen games under five
hundred given out picks. I'm like, and he's, you know,
given this platform, and it's like, dude, like, can.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
I ask a question?

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Not until like maybe lower my skills here. How has
this season been in comparison to other NFL seasons in general?

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Has this been in Yeah, we're gonna easier, Yeah we're
gonna dive. We'll dive into that and that'll be a discussion.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Oh well, let's just do it. Have it right now.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Has it been an easier year to to bet or
a harder year to bet? It has been an easier
year for the public. The public has done much better
this year than the past. There's a lot of like
pro betters this season that are getting very that are
getting frustrated because we're starting to learn. And I think
this is a this is a very large scale discussion

(08:46):
when it comes to sports betting. But I think since
it's becoming, you know, so popular now and there's just
more and more people are getting into the betting space,
and there's just so much more information out there. And
I think a lot of this is, you know, on
social media and things like of that nature, where all
of these hidden trends and all of.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
These stats and all of these spots.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
That normally weren't very available to the public or the
public didn't really pick up on, now they're all out
there because of social media and the sharing of information
so easily that I think a lot of the pro betters,
and I've listened to many that have been in this
space for a long time and they say it's just
getting harder and harder to find these spots where traditionally

(09:29):
they were hammer spots where they'd make a lot of
money because a team would be coming off well, let's
just give an example the Vikings Falcons game. So Atlanta
comes off of a game where they, you know, kind
of they dominated the stats, but they lose the game.
Minnesota loses the stats, but they win the game. And

(09:51):
normally this is a spot where this line would be,
you know, Minnesota by three and it's out to minus
five and a half because a lot of people and
like anticipate that move and so they bet it already early,
and so like it's just like there's these moves that
are just happening now because the general public comes onto it.

(10:12):
The Bears being three and a half point underdogs at
the forty nine ers is a crazy number. That number
four or five years ago would be five and a half,
six and a half. But now the whole you know,
dead cat bounce with the coach being fired and everybody's
onto it. And so now these games that are normally
a certain way are just are shifting a lot over

(10:35):
the years, and it makes and so the normal model
of system betters is just kind of crumbling a little
bit because they look at things power ranking wise, like
the Lions Packers game last night. Okay, that the look
aheadline was Detroit minus six. If you look a lot

(10:55):
of power ranking, so how a lot of people, you know,
if you listen to better Y, I have my model,
you know this is this is how my model says
minus six. You know Zach's Zach's model was in his belly.
But he's he's got his model too. But a lot
of people, you know, had have Detroit like minus five
and a half, like on a neutral versus green Bay,

(11:18):
and that number got down closed at three when Detroit
was three point favorites at green Bay earlier this season,
and it's there, you know, there's all these injuries, the
information gets out there and the public just kind of
hammers the dog with normally in that situation, you're not
getting that. And it got so low that all the

(11:38):
people that got green Bay at minus three, like super late,
ended up you know, pushing, but green Bay three and
a half hits zach kaplan. You got the win that
we were on the line side. That game was gonna
finish probably three or four because it was flip flopping
between a three point lead and a four point lead
as the teams are going back and forth throughout that one.

(11:58):
I told you guys my favorite bet as we were
kind of debating that, I was like, just take the
Lions team total over twenty seven and a half and
that was a no sweat, easy over. But it's just
an interesting battle going on this year and a lot
of the public and the favorites have done pretty well
so far the season, and Ben has done pretty well
this season, so.

Speaker 7 (12:19):
So that means that that means it's it's it's it's
it's not my skill or my gut or anything.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
No.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
I mean I but I think that things are going
to shift and there's gonna be an over correction over
the next couple of years. I think it's gonna be
pretty fascinating to see how it how it shifts, just because,
like I said, things have just kind of changed a
lot with more and more people getting into the space.
That's why I like and and these are mar these
markets are just there. Used to be a lot more

(12:46):
mistakes and errors and now it's just very very efficient.
That's why I like props and trying to find other
ways to get at some of these games.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Okay, boys, are you ready?

Speaker 4 (12:57):
It's good?

Speaker 2 (12:58):
All right.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Zach's got like twenty five more minutes, so we'll try
and bust through as many of these as we can,
all right. And I don't know what you guys picked,
so we're doing our picks. I'm gonna write him down
on my little sheet that we use New York Jets
on the road taking on the Dolphins. Dolphins five and
a half point favorites. I will if it's a lean

(13:21):
for me, I'll just say a lean. If it's a
bet that like I'm making, I will announce it. And
I'm I'm all in on Dolphins minus five and a
half here. I think they're gonna smoke.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
The Jets as well.

Speaker 7 (13:33):
Oh I'm going Jets. Oh this is this is the
non square better.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Okay, heads up?

Speaker 4 (13:38):
What's what's the.

Speaker 7 (13:40):
I think the reason is that if I'm being if
it's the joking reason, it's Aaron Rodgers's documentary is coming
out next week, so he wants to like do well
on the.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
But I do think I.

Speaker 7 (13:53):
Can't see the Jets going winless over the next couple games.
I do think they're gonna jump up in surprise people.
It's honestly, more about the Dolphins. Nothing has really impressed
me the last couple weeks about the Dolphins, even though
they are coming off of a.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
Bye week this week.

Speaker 7 (14:09):
We last saw all these guys on Thanksgiving night, losing
in a pretty non competitive game to Green Bay.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
So I don't know.

Speaker 7 (14:15):
I just I think I'll take the five points on
the road and hopefully Aaron Rodgers has some magic in
the sun.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
I think the Dolphins are have been doing pretty decent,
and I think they're playing a tough Packers team on
the road that made him look pretty bad in cold weather.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
I think they're gonna smoke the Jets.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
I'm the seawan here. I just Rogers is not right.

Speaker 6 (14:37):
I can't believe they haven't shut him down yet, to
be honest, and then we would really see this line jump.
I don't know how they haven't, but he's still going
out there and he's gonna lose again.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Go to three and wait.

Speaker 7 (14:47):
Do I get credit though, for being the non square
better in this Yeah?

Speaker 4 (14:51):
I get credit.

Speaker 7 (14:52):
Okay, So none of this like square betting stuff from
the two of you for the this week. Yeah, there
you go, Because no one wants to take the Jets.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Otherwise given, and I have a free game on you.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Saints on the road, taking
out of the New York Giants. Saints four and a
half point favorites over under forty one and a half.
This is a big number for the Saints to be
laying on the road.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
But I just cannot. I can't.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
I can't do it with the Jets or with the Giants,
any New York team.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
I just can't do it. They're down a bunch of linemen.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Dexter Lawrence is now out their best player overall.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
Whose quarterback the di Vido or Lock?

Speaker 2 (15:29):
I think it's Lock.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
Either way matters.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
This number is too high for the Saints on the
road outdoors, but I just can't go with the Giants.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
So I'm gonna lean to the Saints.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
Anybody, Zach, I'll go NeXT's got a gift here, right?

Speaker 6 (15:48):
Stants are one and four on the road. Giants are
owen six at home.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
They have not won to run a home game.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
That's correct.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Whoa, whoa?

Speaker 6 (15:58):
I feel like I have to go with the wrestler
and Saints. You know I love my intern coaches. We'll
get to another one. Here in a little bit, I'll
just ride with the wristler and I'll say the Saints.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Find a way.

Speaker 7 (16:07):
It's a clean, sweet New Orleans four and a half
on the road, all.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Right, and this will be interesting.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
We'll see how we do when we all agree, all right,
Atlanta taking on Minnesota, Atlanta five and a half point
underdogs on the road against the Vikings. And I'm just
gonna go out on a limb and I'm gonna say
that we're all on Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
No oh, I'm on the Falcons.

Speaker 7 (16:32):
I think that this I'm gonna take the Falcons at
this moment in the season.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Because this is this is basically their season.

Speaker 7 (16:41):
Especially I'm thinking quarterback wise, like the way the kirk
Cousins you were Chargers finishine you saw that game last week.
The way the kirk Cousins looked it might be like
late era, like Philip Rivers, Peyton Manning, like it might
be over for him. This is I know, this guy
through for four hundred and fifty yards a couple you know,
two months go against the Bucks. But the arm looked dead.

(17:03):
I thought when you dove into the stats. As Sean
mentioned earlier, the Falcons actually competed really well with a
I think a really good Chargers team, and the Vikings
I think have just been kind of skating by. They
should have lost that Cardinals game last week. I think
they're due for a slip up. So I like the
Falcons five.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
And a half Dak.

Speaker 6 (17:23):
I'm on the Vikings for similar reasons. As I said
with Rogers. Something is not right with Kirk Cousins either
him going on the road. It's gone enough points for
me to take.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
With Atlanta, I'm on Zach's side all three of these
games so far. I don't know if I like.

Speaker 7 (17:36):
That that should that should be to me though, This
is that's red flags.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
This is a This is just a matchup play like
Kirk is bad against pressure and that's what Minnesota does.
And I just don't think matchup wise, it's just a
good matchup like Atlanta. The Chargers run defense is really
bad right now with their linebackers hurt, and the Atlanta
was able to run the ball and that's why they
were able to have success. I just I think that
this is a bad, bad matchup for Kirtlanta.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Kirk Cousins revenge game, No.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Yeah, I mean, if you were good and he was
capable of it.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
Yeah, he's up to thirteen picks on the year.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Now. I don't think you can do it anymore.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Las Vegas Raiders on the road taking on the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers seven and a half point underdogs. Are the
Raiders over under forty six and a half? I'll go first,
give me the Raiders plus seven and a half. I
think if I'm getting over a touchdown, I just don't
think that the Bucks defense is good enough to be
laying more than a touchdown. The Raiders are a little spunky,

(18:32):
They're still they're still playing, they're still trying. They've covered
the last couple of games. So I'm taking the Raven
or the Raiders over a touchdown.

Speaker 6 (18:41):
I'll go Bucks any of this game in the division,
especially if we're saying Atlanta's gonna go up to Minnesota
and lose like Baker, and I just think in this spot,
Raiders traveling cross country, they've been terrible on the road
this year one and six.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
I don't know they've struggled any time. If you want
to call out.

Speaker 6 (18:59):
A stuff up in class, which I'm calling it a
I'm calling the Bucks a slightly above average team.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
I just think they get mops.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
I would agree with you, Zach.

Speaker 7 (19:07):
I'm taking the Bucks as well. Again, I think you
nailed on the head. The Bucks need this game, the
Raiders don't, and I think they they roll pretty easily.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Are we discounting the Bucks having to go to overtime
and get a fumble away from losing to Carolina division opponent?

Speaker 7 (19:24):
I think that'd be my response to that division opponent.
The Panthers know them, play them all.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Yeah, the Panthers than it did.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
The Bucks agreed, agreed.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
One of my rain maker plays Aidan O'Connell over two
and twenty five passing yards. The Bucks pass defense not good.
O'Connell went for three point fifty against the Chiefs, and
I think that Tampa Bay's gonna score a lot of
can score a lot of points in this one. And
I also have Mike Evans over seventy two and a
half receiving yards. If you didn't know, he's been over

(19:56):
a thousand yards in like seven eight straight years. He
wants to keep the streak going and it's a perfect matchup.
So those are two plays that I really do we
need to have the music. This is a rain cap.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
I mean you could just do it.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Jacksonville Jaguars on the road taking on the Tennessee Titans.
The number is it three and a half? At Sports
at Montana the number is three. So fellas for the competition,
I will give you two and a half or three
and a half because right now the number is a
true three over under thirty nine and a half.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Ben, what say you?

Speaker 7 (20:32):
I'm gonna go to the Titans. And this is a
complete no offense to use zach kaplan. But your old
boy Mac Jones not getting it done, not getting it done.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Yeah, I just I like.

Speaker 7 (20:43):
Will Evis in this spot way more than Mac Jones.
I think the Jaguars have even though they lost their
quarterback last week. Their season's over. So I'm gonna go
with the Titans.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Zak is one of those games that you've bet real
dollars on it.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
You deserve whatever, totally, So I will I will take
the Titans. If you're giving me two and a half,
and I have no handicap to back.

Speaker 6 (21:04):
That up, I'm just going to take it and just say, yeah,
that's what I got.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
Yeah, when it was at when it was at three
and a half and it was equal, I lean Jags,
But now that it's a flat three, give me the
give me the Titans at two and a half. I
did bet actual real dollars on this game in two
in two plays, I got Will Levis over two hundred
and nine passing yards.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
And I'll shoot I got three. I bet three plays
in this.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
Give me Calvin Ridley over sixty four and a half
receiving yards. Revenge game against the Jags, perfect, perfect matchup
for him. We saw what Jerry Judy did in a
revenge game just a week ago. Go bananas. This is
a perfect matchup against the Jags. Terrible secondary. Ridley is
going to be force fed the ball and we can

(21:54):
agree like both these defenses suck, especially the Jags. I
don't really care how like if the offenses are. If
you're giving me a total of thirty nine and a
half with like two like shitty teams, two teams that
like fumble on special teams and just like creates wacky points,
like give me the over thirty nine and a half.
Like I just think crazy weird stuff is gonna happen
in this game, and it's I can see this game

(22:16):
getting you know, twenty four.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
To twenty something like that weather I don't know.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Nothing, nothing too crazy, like maybe a little bit of rain,
but nothing like that would matter all that much. Panthers
on the road taking on the Philadelphia Eagles. The Panthers
thirteen and a half point underdogs over under forty five
and a half. This one is This one's a hard
This one's a hard one for me because, like matchup wise,

(22:45):
like this is a terrible matchup for Carolina. Carolina needs
to be able to run the ball to have an
effective offense. Philly stops the run. Their secondary has been awesome,
and then defensively they get pressure, They're not to be
able to stop Saquon they have like the worst rush
dye in the NFL. Philly should be able to get
whatever they want. I just think that, like because of

(23:07):
the resurgence of Bryce Young, I think the team is
kind of like rallied behind that, and it gives them
a little bit of excitement knowing because you go from
biggest bust ever to like, hey, we might not actually
have a bus, we might have a franchise quarterback. And
so thirteen and a half is just a lot like
they could be up by twenty late in the game

(23:28):
and you get a back door touchdown, and I think
Bryce Young is good enough to get that back door
touchdown now.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
So give me the Panthers.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
Go ahead, Zach, you know, I know I kind of
can't generally cover them, even though they're about four hours away.
There's no path to me thinking that the Panthers can
hang in this game for all the reasons you said.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
It's a terrible matchup on the field.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
Kind of later up there last week, you know, kind
of a letdown spot going up to Philly where the
Eagles are just absolutely rolling right now, I can't.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
I can't get behind Carolina, even though they're the team
I tried.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
All right, we had a little we had a little thing.
Zach's zax on the zax on the EAGs.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
I'll think the Panthers, I think.

Speaker 7 (24:08):
My only reason is I think the Eagles had one
of the one of their signature wins of the year
last spot yeah, less un spot amazing win against kind
of their area arrival Ravens last week, really really dominant
win for them, holding Lamar Jackson and company and Derrick Henry.
I just think the Panthers will keep it close. The
Eagles are gonna win, I think pretty easily. But thirteen

(24:28):
and a half is too much.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Then, Zach, you can bounce whenever you need to.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
One of my favorite bets of the week Saquon Barkley
over nineteen and a half longest rush. I thought this
was gonna be in the mid twenties. He's been over
this in eight of twelve games, and uh, you're I mean,
it's just the worst. It's the worst run d in
the league, and he's gonna get plenty of chances. I
think he can get a twenty yard run in this one.
So I really like that. Bet Browns at the Steelers.

(24:53):
The Browns have not won in Pittsburgh in twenty street
times six and a half point underdogs. They just beat
Pittsburg two weeks ago, and now they're playing again.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Give me the Steelers.

Speaker 7 (25:04):
I'm gonna go to the Steelers too. I you make
it twenty one, it would be twenty one straight times.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Straight up, straight up. This is you know, do they
cover spread?

Speaker 4 (25:12):
They're still not gonna go with the spread now, Okay?

Speaker 1 (25:14):
No, Zach, Yeah and Agreean.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
I don't see it.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
I'm on a lot of favorites this week, which concerns.

Speaker 6 (25:20):
Me, But you know what, we're at that point in
the year where teams really separate themselves.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Steelers from me, and I'm gonna take the over forty
three and a half. I mean, Jamis Spinston is just
an over quarterback. Like Pittsburgh's offense has been really good,
Cleveland's defense is terrible. I think I think Pittsburgh's gonna score,
you know, twenty eight points in this game.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Twenty seven points in this game.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
And I think Cleveland's gonna be feisty enough and and
Winston will go down swinging. Uh So give me Winston
over two hundred and fifty passing yards as well in
the over forty three and a half. Moving on to
Benjamin Steam the Seattle Seahawks on the road taking on
the Arizona Cardinals. Seahawks two and a half point under.
The kind of been bouncing to three and then back

(26:03):
two and a half sides kind of battling on this
game over under opened up forty five and a half,
which I took the under at that point. Now down
to forty four and a half, ben let you lead
it off.

Speaker 7 (26:15):
Oh okay, here's the deal. I'm gonna take in for
just for the picks. I'm gonna take the Cardinals two
and a half. It's kind of a hedging or happiness.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Bet.

Speaker 7 (26:23):
I know, I know, I know, I know, I think.
I think kind of the crazy thing about this is
that this is this game probably decides the winner of
the NFC West. The Seahawks beat the Cardinals on Sunday,
they have a basically three game lead on the Arizona Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
For that spot.

Speaker 7 (26:39):
So this for the Seahawks, this is huge.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
I I think people will be.

Speaker 7 (26:44):
Surprised to know that the defense for the Seattle Seahawks
has been definitely top ten, maybe even top five unit
in the basically the last month and a half of football.
Mike McDonald's so I'm on the under man. Yeah, Mike
McDonald's finally got the guys in there that he really
wants to and that they're kind of into the scheme.
I'm actually being more worried as the seahaksman about the offense.

(27:04):
But I still think that the Seahawks, uh kind of
are one of the best teams in the NFL, at
least in the division, that can control Kyler Murray in
the pocket. They're really good about making sure that he
just kind of gets those happy feet. We saw it
in Seattle a couple of weeks ago where you threw
the pick six interception with Devin Witherspoon play. So I
I ahead your happiness pick. I'm taking the Cardinals minus

(27:26):
two and a half and hopefully fingers cross the Seahawks win.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Zach, Well, it's like that does a team better than
I do.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
But I'm gonna take Seattle here. I like it. I
think they are. I think they're ready to do it
the difference in this game. Give Kyler some fits and
come away with the with the win.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
Frustrate our weekend anchor here just walked out talking about
five minutes ago.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
Di Cardinals fan, he's gonna be upsets. On's gonna be happy.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
Thank you, Zach, appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
I'm on the I'm on the Cardinals just at home.
So I saw this, I wrote it down and I
can't I'd lost it somewhere. But when divisional teams are
playing for the third time or the second time in
three weeks, the team that lost the first time and
then is at home, they're like twenty four and six
or something like that against the spread. They just have

(28:20):
all the motivation hard to be the team twice.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
The Cardinals. Yeah, for the Cardinals.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
Like, if they lose this, it's over over. It's not
over over for the for the Seahawks. If they lose,
it's over if they win. I mean, it's obviously a
massive game. But I really do like the under. Seattle's
been playing a lot more man defense ever since they
made some switches on defense, and Kyler's bad against man,
he's good against zone. They really bottled up James Connor.

(28:47):
Their runde's actually pretty good now that they're fully healthy.
So I really like the under. Also, give me under
sixty one and a half yards for DK Metcalf. He's
a little bit banged up and Ben, here's a little
trivia for you. You know that DK has never had
more than six ever against the Cardinals in his career.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
That is hard to believe.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
That's really surprising, is that crazy?

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Yeah? I was listening to the Fantasy Footballers podcast, and
he's never had over.

Speaker 7 (29:08):
Sixty one yards because the most the most famous play
that he's ever made against the Cardinals defense is on defense.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
No, well yeah, on offense, but chasing down.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Chasing down but Baker ye yeah, so yeah, kind of
interesting one.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
And he's he's banged up, he's been limited in practice.
Is his knees been bugging him his foot so his
line is at sixty one and a half.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
So give me the under big JSN game.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
Yep, Bills on the road taking on the Los Angeles Rams.
You want to talk about trap line of the week?
Here we go, folks. The Bills only three and a
half point favorites on the Rams. This is one where
I see it and I'm like, uh, why is this
so low? Like if I had to guess what this
line would be, I would I would guess five and

(29:50):
a half, maybe out to six and a half. The
fact that it's three and a half. I mean, I'm
on the Bills, but it has me, it has me worried.

Speaker 7 (29:58):
Well, it could be the reasons why that line's not
five or a half or six and a half.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
It's a game that the Rams really need. Going back home,
Bills off of a somewhat short week in the snow,
going inside.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
On the road.

Speaker 7 (30:13):
Everyone's hyping them up all week and they're gonna be
the AFC representatives.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
I don't know, what do you, Zach? You like these
rat trap lines? What do you think I.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Like? Why I've been trying to make sense of it
all week. I'll just assume somebody knows something and I'll
take the Rams, but I don't really feel good about it.

Speaker 7 (30:35):
Gimme Hailey Steinfeld's fiance Josh Allen and the Bills and
and I would love as a Seahawks fan, I would
love to see the Rams season end right here, right now.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Yeah. I got a couple props in this one, and
it's running backs.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Give me Blake Korum over seventeen and a half rushing
yards go Michigan. He's been getting more. He's been getting
a series or two each game. The Bills rundy is
how you beat them. I think the Rams are gonna
try and run the ball a lot. He had like
eight carries for forty two yards last week. The Korm
he only needs seventeen and a half. I'm gonna ladder

(31:12):
this too. Update eight at eighty eight yards for him
is forty four hundred now eight yards now listen.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
I don't want Kyroen Williams to get hurt.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
But if he did get hurt and Blake Korm went in,
if I put ten bucks on him to get eighty
eight yards, to win almost five hundred dollars like.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Does he have eighty eight yards total this year?

Speaker 1 (31:33):
No?

Speaker 2 (31:33):
But but if he gets hurt, I mean he had
forty four, he had forty four last week, Okay, and
so one all he needs is.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Yeah, you talk about it as much as you want, Okay.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
So this is what I like to do with in
these scenarios. Okay, there's a little betting lesson.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
Let's say I have like fifty bucks and that I
want to put on Blake Korm. Okay, So I'm gonna
put like thirty five on him to get over seventeen
and a half rushing yards, Okay, And then I'm gonna
go to his ladder play and I'm gonna go up
to thirty eight yards at plus two twenty and I'm
gonna put like seven to fifty, and then I'm gonna

(32:13):
go to forty eight at plus three seventy put another
seven fifty, and then I'll put five bucks on over
fifty eight at six twenty five. And then I'll just
go all the way up to eighty eight at forty
to one odds and put another five bucks. And hey,
the Sean Rainey lest Kiren Williams goes down early in
this game, and you've got a forty to one ticket

(32:34):
on things gonna hit.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
My only counter to that would be game script. A
think gonna be down early enough.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
That the line being three and a half says that
this game is gonna be competitive, back and forth game.
I also like James Cook over sixty two and a
half rushing yards against the Rams because defense not very good.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
He's the Beast Bears Niners.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
We all know where Zach Kaplan and his coach fire
dead cat Bouncy always takes the fired coat.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
Go ahead, Sach, it's.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Gotta be the Bear Bears, baby. I mean, this Nash
team is dead. Their season ended last week. Bears inspired
after that?

Speaker 6 (33:10):
Just I mean they should have They could have depours
overtime with the Lions.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
So what They're gonna go on the road and not
be competitive in this game? And you're giving me four?
Is it four and a half or three and a half?

Speaker 2 (33:21):
Three and a half.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
I don't think it either way, but I'm just curious,
like three and a half, yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Come on see, But I think this number is too low.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
I'm gonna be on the Bear side, but I think
the numbers too low, which scares me, So I'm not
betting the Bears straight up, I'm just gonna put the
Bears like in a tease. I'll just push them up
to like ten and a half and pair it with
like Dolphins money line. You move the Seahawks up to
eight and a half Pittsburgh money line like something like that. Yeah,

(33:52):
I just think this this number is too low. And
everyone says the Bears the Bears could have forced overtime
versus the Lions like they should have been now twenty eight.
Thing in that game, like they got their asses kicked
and then they just like had al and then they
just had a crazy like back door like they got
their asses kicked in that game. That wasn't the Lions
win expectancy in that game was in the ninety percent

(34:12):
for the majority of the whole game.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
Like, so, I don't I think doing that is kind
of like how do I put this nicely?

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Zacht?

Speaker 3 (34:21):
That's kind of like what a lot of fans will say, Oh,
they just lost by three to the Lions, like they
can lose by three to the Niners, Like that's I
don't know, if you watch that game, like they were
getting their asses kicked, Ben.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
You're officially taking the bearsone at least to the spread,
it should be six.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
They did hate him, so that does help.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
You're taking the Bears.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Yeah, I'm on the Bears.

Speaker 4 (34:40):
I'll be by myself and take the forty nine ers.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
I knew he would be I think Moti. Yeah, I
don't think they're I don't think they're dead.

Speaker 7 (34:47):
No, they're definitely not dead. I mean, they lose this week,
they're dead. But and I hope as as.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
A aren't they aren't They two games back in the Seahawks.

Speaker 7 (34:57):
And seven and five right while we have the tie
break over them with a division because the Niners have
lost three division games.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
They've lost to every single team.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
But if you lose to the But if Seattle loses
to the Cardinals.

Speaker 7 (35:09):
Well, I mean yeah, down the road, it could be closer.
But now it's like a three game it's a three
game separation. I think they're gonna I think they're gonna
bounce back this week. They're gonna beat the Bears pretty handily.
Their schedule over the next couple of weeks.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
Is extremely rough.

Speaker 7 (35:24):
Yeah, they played the Lions second to last week at
the season
