waiting for. We run the airwaysfrom seven to eight pm. Like I

(06:18):
you and them in constructive yet entertainingdialogue. Yes, sir, ready
to go. How are you doing, sir? I am feeling excited.
We have been putting this together fora while and we are here. I
e we got something special for all. We got good conversation. We're gonna
get guy stimulated about our community, about what's going on around the community,

(06:41):
the parties, and we got aguest in the house. I mean,
did you did you tell them whowe got today? Man? Not yet.
Let me introduce myself. I goby the name Mike Flex and some
of you guys out there don't knowme, and some of you guys do
know me. But I've been aroundthe city for a long time. I
graduated from Las Era Academy, attendedRCC for a time, even with the

(07:02):
Chaffe College for a time. Really, and so a lot of records out
here, not me personally, butI was a part of a group that
sold a lot of records out here. I mean, a part of this
TV thing, and this radios thingout here is in the in the empire.
I followed the footsteps of Teddy Bear, I followed the footsteps of Shiki,

(07:25):
I followed the footsteps of his brothername Flip out of Rubadaux. So
in that same energy, this iswhat we bring the to you. And
like I said, we created thisplatform to discuss not only what's going on
in the world, but what's goingon locally. And I feel this is
the only way I can do it, bridging the gap between us, you
and them. And who do Imean by us, you and them?

(07:46):
Well, you choose it's the police. We're gonna bring them in here.
But today we're not gonna do that. We're gonna bridge the gap in a
different way. And like Cosmo wassaying earlier, we do have a special
guests in the studio. I honestlydidn't think it was gonna go down today,
tell you the truth, But bythe graces of the Almighty man got

(08:09):
a super duper special guest in thestudio. I don't want to say too
much right now, but just alittle bit. Just you gotta have soul.
If you don't have soul, thenyou know you gotta have a little
bit of soul, all right. So, um, besides the interviews,
we're gonna get into a couple ofstories. I have a segment called hot

(08:31):
Mess. That's Cosmos section. He'sgonna be talking about all the hot mess,
um, and get ready, we'regonna talk about local news. A
lot of stuff went around excuse me, A lot of stuff is going down
around here in the world. Lastweek, they knocking down the mall,

(08:52):
the Carousel Mallum, the Carousel mallis historical because I was on the station
when the station was at the mall. They ain't been operating that good for
a long time, son, twentyplus years. But that's that's that's beside
the point they are trying to.They're trying to, but we have other

(09:15):
issues with the city we're gonna haveto discuss about before that. And I
know that you said you had somethingon the line about, um, Jerry
Springing that we're gonna have to talkabout, man, y'all Cosmos. Yeah,
Jerry Springing is on the line.Who else we got on the line,
Uh, Jamie Foxx, we goton line and uh we'n be digging

(09:37):
through some TMZ. We're gonna bedigging through some inland wire. We're gonna
be having some fun today, soum, let's start with the interview.
I don't want to take too muchtime introduce our guests. Today's guest is
uh probably related to one of thebiggest musical I cons that anybody could ever

(10:01):
imagine to hope or to reach astatus. I'm talking about James Brown.
We have Mickey Brown in the studioready to go to tell us some stories
about the illustrious. The brother that'sthe godfather, sold father daughter right here
started the whole thing off. MickeyBrown, say something to the people.

(10:24):
It's just the honor to be amongstthese young man's. Welcome Mickey Brown.
Thank you for taking the time outand coming down here. I changed my
schedule and made some time because thisis a good thing when you're trying to
reach out to the community to keepyou update. Technology has so much,
Technology has been so much, andit's bringing all the darkness coming into light

(10:48):
and turning up. When we heardabout the story with about Jerry Spring,
so I wanted to come on totell my story because it touched my heart
how he came cleaning. My fatherdid the same thing with me. You
know I was back and forth throughthe system. I had an identity crisis
getting where I fit and didn't reallyknow who I belonged to. But at

(11:09):
the end it all favailed through thegrace of God and bonded with my father
and he accepted me and I didn'tknow I had to give of doing shows
events bringing people together. My fatherwas a movement. He was an activist
with his music. That's how hechanneled the hurt of being mostly kind of
like enslave all their life and notable to be able to do what they

(11:33):
wanted to do with society, hadto be sharecroppers and domestic wroppers. So
I learned how to take a negativeand turn it into a positive in my
life because they get paid the wayfor us, all of our ancestors and
the big entertainment and acting. Theypaid the way for me to be here
to tell my story. I havea book coming out from the Hood to

(11:56):
Hollywood. So it's something that youknow, I think, God, I'm
able to talk about now that Igrowed up and an adult and half children
and grandchildren and great grandkids that I'mnot ashamed of where I come from and
who I belonged to. So Iwant to share that with you because that
testimony that Jerry Springer gave it touchedmy heart. Well, let's start from

(12:18):
the beginning. Can you hear metoo? All right, let's start from
the beginning. How was it comingup with a famous father? And we
spoke a little bit earlier, soit may not be what people may think.
You mentioned that the last time hesaw him was in two thousand and

(12:43):
six, So how was your relationshipwith him prior to it? I opened
that up for the Marongos with theIndian and he provided for me. But
I needed the love more than themoney situation. And he knew I was
a gold getter. He said Ihad the browns geff, And you know,
he told me he was sorry, but he didn't know how to love

(13:03):
none of his children. And hetold me definitely he was proud of me.
He never knew that he would needme to be able to get him
a ride in a limousine, thatpeople were turning them down because he had
a drug problem, not just thathe had a mental problem, because he
grew up not really being loved bytwo parents. And the same thing happened
to me that I was put intoa into the system and from Los Angeles

(13:26):
seventeen or Riverside, Tom Springs, all the way from Gusta, Georgia.
I was a well kept secret.Corey Brown brought them here in the entertainment
back in the forties of South Centralwhere the Nicholas and brothers they tapped dance.
My dad and them and his halfbrothers. And people don't want to

(13:46):
talk about his real history, histrue relatives. He do have true relatives,
and he did have half sisters andbrothers. I did my DNA tests
and I'm ninety nine point one.I talked to my brother, I talked
to a couple of my sister theirdeceased. I'll talk to Dull. He's
in Vegas now. He texts meand used to keep up with me a
lot, and I would just blessthat my father turned me on into the

(14:09):
entertainment business. I paid the way. My daddy paid the way for a
lot of them to be in theentertainment. I never asked for no type
of conversation of payment. I'm apeople person. I love putting people together,
networking and bringing the best out ofanybody. Anybody that made it to

(14:31):
the entertainment, you name it,and I just about been there with him.
I half my book coming out itstates that I have proof of what
I'm saying, documentary and I tellyou some of the biggest people you never
thought. And I didn't want tocome for it, but now I'm coming
for it because this book is goingto tell all. And I thank God
that he loved me for me atthe end, and I loved him for

(14:52):
the end. He told me hecouldn't go back, he can go forward,
But he said, you know whatCora Browning him used to tell me,
you had daddy for the price ofone my mother and then worked those
fields and music was their life toescape the heart hardness, ships of the
life that brought to them being farmersand workers, share croppers, living in

(15:15):
shacks. You know you're saying theupbringing, your your formative years, the
baby years. You wasn't in themansions, he wasn't in the big houses,
nothing like that. It was atotal different type of I was awarded
to the court at the age ofwhen his half brother got killed, Nie

(15:35):
Mike Brown, I was awarded thecourt at eleven years old. Did any
of your friends know who you werespeaking to my did any of your friends
know who you were? They didn'tknow that I was James Brown's daughter,
biological daughter. They just thought thathe was a relative uncle friend because my
family kept it well hid because southStrenthon will He brought the house for core

(15:56):
Brown Galbert. He would come laternight in the limousine and cried to her
about the drugs and how his lifewas broken. Something tragic happened to one
of the brother would my dad severedhimself because Nie Maya got murder bout one
of his brothers. So that storywas never told. So he kind of
distined himself from the Brown's family, but he would take care of her and

(16:18):
us, and he would bring moneylimousine and money. He did the financials.
So he really tried to stay withhis family. He didn't know how
to be loved. He was brokenbecause they had a hard life. You
know their mother. I saw thatin the movie. He was he had
like a really blinding poverty. Yes, very much. So. They both
all all of them, the realones of Coral Brown, Niemi Brown and

(16:44):
j B. Brown. And thestory that they stated that a Bravo lady
raised him, it was somewhat true. But not accurate. They had a
biological mother and they were back inthose day, kids didn't have birth certifical
Social Security. They would write thekid's name in bibles. So their father
was traveling man and he was intochurch and helped a lot of people.

(17:06):
But their household had just broken upmentally. It was a lot of mentally
abused alcoholism. Yeah, so Ifound myself taking a negative, turning the
depositive. I didn't want to livelike that. And he told me at
the end, I think he feltdeaf. He looked at me, he
said, you're special. You havethe brown blood. You have the gift,
he said, of all my children, he said, I never thought

(17:27):
you would be the one that hadto call for a limousine right to get
me out of drug houses to buyto buy back his uh bet Lea's And
I can tell you other celebrities thatwas with him, but I'm gonna decline.
I know, um, don't tellus about Bobby Womack. Don't do
it. When I was when Iwas doing the you know the background and

(17:51):
the YouTube on James Brown's they statedhe was the first one to buy a
lair jet. He did. Ohman, he was the first one,
the first brother purchased him. I'mtalking about in the black and white.
I remember he bragged, took myaunt core Brown and he stretched out and

(18:11):
we got pictures of him stretched outin in the jet plane. My aunt
core Brown was scared to fly ortravel. Uh. She would have she
would have lived. She would havebeen one hundred and five. But she
wasn't into all the luxury things thathe was. But he really took care
of her, I mean with theproperties, her husband, her children.

(18:33):
He loved all of us. AndI remember just him playing music when they
would come down, people from PalmSprings all over. You know that.
That's my question. He did comeout here, your father come out here?
He didn't. He didn't come tothe I e. And touch the
soil. Ye. Yeah. Theyhad a place in Bannon, a little

(18:57):
jew joint that he played in withI pad. You say, did you
joint okay? Yea back in thedays called jo. Yeah. He made
his rounds and you know, Imet Ike turned it through him. I
have, like I said, Ihave all the documents to prove what I'm
saying. And it's just a blessingthat you guys gave me the opportunity to

(19:18):
today to to bring it out,and they always put project him and being
somebody like real mean really he wasnice little person. He was very interesting.
He came to my house a lot. We did banging on wax video
shoot in Palm Springs on the MartinDowney Show back in the eighties. So
he had just got out of prison. So I turn Yeah, well I

(19:41):
did time. Well I didn't dotime. I one time, just one
time with a seal mate. Isaid, he knew I Turner and he
was giving me all of the stories. What je were you in? What
house? Jill? Don't scare me. I have a story A time I

(20:03):
were interesting his you know, talkingabout Ike and all that stuff because it
was I guess I was down therein San Diego ways, that's right,
something like that. So he livedclose to ye. You show know a
lot, Yes, a couple ofthings. He was a barrier. He
was a very humble person. Hewas in love with me, but my
father told him stay away from herbecause I had to put some cement in

(20:26):
your shoes. Yeah, I heard. I heard that that movie Tema made
about I Turner was actually fake. That was Hollywood because you know, Ike
Turner started a lot of the groupstoo, that a lot, Yea the
number one guy, him and heused to work together and they put out
a lot of groups. And nobodyeven knows that. The only thing they
know about Ike is what they sawthat now he was a good well we

(20:48):
know about he said, sing itlike I told you, And he wore
a hard, hard show shoes. That's what I heard. So for you,
when did the journey begin? Meaningthat your love for this unquote business?
What did you do any kind ofuh what's it called? The ones

(21:11):
in school when your little child andyou do the little you know, you
do the little public shows, schoolplays, but you were involved in the
school plays concerts, and I didyou know? And when I was shipped
to Ruberto and one of the Fosterhome and Rubedo with me, and you
talked about some of the people, you know. I remember I even helped
Ronnie on Joe Cooley. Now Itook him to your life. And I

(21:32):
didn't realize until I was about fifteen. They had a talent show and I
sung and I dance, and thenfrom there people were calling me and my
family members said, Mickey, youneed to go on soul trains. So
me and Scorpio, all of uswent on soul train. I used to
dance with re Run. That's firstone time run. It was very nice.

(21:53):
It was an old club back inthe days called the Elpry Colter Fred
Barry Elk which lounge? Okay youremember that? No? Yeah, but
we did a lot of shows. There no Fontenay way in Fontenta back in

(22:14):
the day. So me and reRun and some other my groups that would
come. Um, I was blessedbecause I had the gift and I didn't
know until my aunt set me down. She said, I want to tell
you something. I said, Well, I want to go to college.
I want to go to nurses school. But I still love, you know,
the entertainment. I mean, mylife thrived for it. So I
started getting houses and throwing house partiesand the breakers, the lockers, um,

(22:41):
all of them from the like.I said, Conrad, uh who
else? Uh? You knew whenhe was little Conrads? The Conrads,
Uh, let me see who else? Hammer, TLC boys, the Men's
anybody was somebody I was with thesepeople, iced tea, ice cube.
The list just go on. Inline with the urban network. I formed

(23:03):
that together and started that in PalmSprings and I said, I have the
gift. You know. I putthings together and I said, you know,
this is what I want to do. It was good money and I
did what I had to do tosurvive for my children. I was a
baby having a baby at the ageof fourteen. I had my oldest at
fourteen. Okay, so you hadto grow really fast. I had.

(23:25):
I had no child life, Yeah, had no child life. I had
to really be an adult because Iwas, like I stayed. I had,
you know, my first child whenI was fourteen. Daddy help you
with fourteen? Oh nah, I'mnot gonna even talk about our friends.
We are. He was much olderthan me, but we are friends.

(23:48):
I liked it him because he hadwheels. You know, everybody, I'll
tell you, you know, nothing'sfree in life. He had the wheels
to get me back and forth toLA to see my people. So you
know, I had to use whatI cannot clever bring is now. We
just incriminated it. We just incriminatedout of course. This is back in
the day. By are you talkingabout, like when he was fourteen and
you got the you know, theguy with the big beard and a nice

(24:10):
car pulls up and he shouldn't havebeen in high school property for years pretty
much? You said, so itwas, It was all good, and
today we're friends. His mother endedup adopted me, taking care of me
and my children. Today. Ijust take care of her and help her
as a blessing to have. Youknow, my adopted mother still in my

(24:33):
family, and you know, herdaughter and me was like sisters. I
mean, I'm blessed. I can'tcomplain. It made me strong. I
took a negative once. I'm gonnakeep emphasizing on this and turn a negative
into a positive, because when aperson put a label on you and say
you're not gonna be nothing, andjust for me to just still be survived,
the odds against me, yea,you know, the statistic just existing.

(24:56):
No, I turned it around, and I think God that I may
to be here to talk about it. My book will be coming out the
end of June. I'd like togive thanks a shout out to mister Wallace
Allen with the West Side story that'sbeen with me for thirty five years and
my trials and tribulations. He's reallybeen there for me and my family.

(25:18):
appreciate you and your wife and yourfamily for the years and the time that
you have donated into my life tomake me be a better person. You
saw that in me, and Ipromise you I won't let you down.
So get that book finished. Sothat book, once the book comes out,
is going to be available online. And yeah, they're gonna have access
to all Please let us know whenthat comes out, so we definitely be

Yes, yes, yes, yes, we're back. We are back.
Those uh drops I just did oryou heard? Um? Yeah,
I do that and we do that. I does that. So if you're

(32:51):
in the business and looking for somebusiness, definitely check us out. We
could do the same for you.But right now we're going to get into
some hot mess. I you textedme earlier with a story that was out
of this world. I hope thelisteners are ready. Are y'all ready for
this? Jerry Springer came on theinternet because he just died recently. Piece

(33:12):
to Jerry Springer, Um, JerrySpringer had two kids. He also had
two illegitimate black kids. Well itis the terminal illegitimate. Yeah, he
had two kids in the marriage andthen he had two kids outside the marriage.

(33:34):
Let me tell you what happened up. But yeah, you can't say
I legitimate, let me tell youthat. But that's what they called them.
Uh. The wife of the twowhite kids, right, Caucasian children,
Caucasian children, let's go. Themother told them you cannot see those
black children. You cannot do anythingor go see them or bring him to

(33:55):
the house or no visits to theshow. And Jerry said, no,
I'm not gonna do that. I'mstill gonna provide for them. But he
just kind of kept him out ofthe loop of his life and his money
and all this thing, kept iton the down, kept it on the
download. But it all comes outin the wash because the other the other
day, Jerry Speer comes on theair and has his last will and reading

(34:20):
on the air live on YouTube. He gave the house to the other two
children that he had legitimately into thetwo black children. He gave everything he
owns, I mean, the syndicationof the Jerry Springer Show, all his
portfolio, his seven other houses, his bank accounts, all of the calligans.

(34:40):
I need me a white story becauseI'm calling Shenanigans on the story.
They saying it's fake news. No, it's not fake news. It's not.
The Internet says fake news. TheInternet is lying. They're mad me
on your lying eyes. The intosays it's fake. Jerry Springer got on

(35:02):
live and it's not fake. They'retrying to say that that's just the internet.
The internet's fake itself. Jerry Springerput a camera in his own face
and had the lawyer sitting there ontop of the screen. And when the
clip with the clip cut to zero, they said, well, let's start
this business up. And the lawyerstarted cutting out checks to the kids right

(35:23):
then and there. Sorry, it'snot fake news. It came on four
different NeXT's what I'm seeing in It'sbeen on YouTube. No, it's not
fake. So it says. Thebest Jerry Springer episode ever is Jerry reading
his own will. He had twoblack children out of wetlock. There you
go. Life threatens to expose,so he's keeping it under wraps until he

(35:45):
dies, then leaves all his moneyto the children. He never met one
a legend. Can can we playthat clip? Can we play that clip?
Go to Jerry's last will and testamentand he said, you ain't getting
none of this money? Yeah,I want to send it to my other
honey. Oh, yeah, Ithink he valued it. It's on YouTube,

(36:09):
baby, it's on YouTube. Areyou gonna plug it? He's trying
to plug it in. Well,um, you'll see him. And once
again I'm gonna emphasize it's a goodthing because he made amends, just like
my daddy did before he left here. But at the same time, he

(36:30):
took care of business with his childreneven though he wasn't in the life.
He provided for them to have thethings that necessary, things that life gives
that cost. So he did whathe had to do. But he even
did even better by giving him allof his assets. I wish Mines would
have done that. You know what, I never asked for a dime.

(36:52):
I made my way, so Inever asked even to this day my siblings,
I never asked them for nothing frommy father. And you know what,
the thing is, a good manraised me. And I never complain
because my aunt them said that Igot to Daddy for the price of one,
price of one. H You knowwhat, I'm blessed. I'm glad

(37:15):
they're blessed what their inheritance. Allright, play that click, play that
clip? You got a clip? Are you gonna run him? He trusted
me to handle the delicate matter ofhis last will and testament in the event
of his untimely passage. We arehere today because each of y'all have been
named in his will, and hehas asked me to play this video for
y'all to explain his last wishes.God a video of Dad. Jordan,

(37:37):
I can't um I'm not running,Okay, it's recording, and goodness,
I can stop it. No,no, no, no, keep rolling.
I can't be more nervous than mygirls. That urges. So let's
see. I thought i'd know whatto say now, but the truth is

(38:01):
I don't if I know anything.I know you two have been fighting,
probably moments before you hit played. But seriously, girls, if you're watching
this, then I know that I'vebeen the cause of more than a few
fights recently. Megan, look atme, sweetie, Jordan, Megan,

(38:22):
I know I wasn't the best father, not even the best example of a
man for the two of you,and there's nothing I can do now to
change that. I know that, but I do want to try to make
right what I can. You hearthat, John and Misha, I know
you don't know me, but Ihope by the end of this you'll know

(38:44):
why I did what I did andwhy I've done what I've done. He
rectified it. Where do I evenbegin? Well, first off, I
know you've been wondering why your motherhas been left out of all this.
The reality is this is what shewanted. I don't know what all she
shared with you, but I hopeyou're open to hearing me and believing me

(39:09):
when I say she chose this.Well, really, I put her in
an awful position, and then shedid the same to me. Shortly after
you were born, Jordan, Imet and fell in love with another woman,
and I had a child with hera year later. This was obviously

(39:30):
very painful for your mother. Itwas painful for me. I found myself
feeling things i'd never felt for someoneI would have never imagined. It was
confusing and complicated, and I sharedall this with your mother. She tried
forgiving me, but she just couldn'tdo it. More than forgiving me,

(39:52):
Joan couldn't bear the shame of divorceor outside children. So she made me
from seeing that woman and our childagain. And I did what she told
me for as long as I could. But no matter how hard I tried,
I could not stay away from Melinda. John Misha, I am sowed.

(40:17):
There's nothing I loved your John,Misha. I did a terrible,
terrible thing for terrible reasons. Ilet fear and ignorance and quite honestly hatred
keep me away from you and yourbeautiful, beautiful mother. And I have

(40:37):
spent the last twenty six years incomplete and crippling shame. And it is
still a drop in the bucket ofthe immeasurable amount of pain I have caused
each of you. My wife learnedof your arrival, Misha, and demanded
the money cut you off completely.I tried to reason with her, but
she threatened to expose my infidelity andmy illegitimate children. And I was such

(41:01):
a coward. I'm a coward evennow for making this video instead of making
the effort to meet you. Iam ashamed, and this point is on
my SLF. I didn't know howto stand to my truth and stand up
to my wife's I did, however, managed to stand up for you,

(41:21):
John, and while Joan kept meaway from you with a threat of exposure,
she did not keep me from providingfor you. Okay, you see,
I told her that if I hadto accept the life without you,
she would not get a red scentof my fortune, and that you would
be named equally in my will inthe event of my passing. But with

(41:44):
everything going on in the world rightnow, I realized that I have to
go a step further. Get tothe money. Jordan, Megan. I
leave our home here in New York, New Orleans to you, to you
to do with whatever you want.Okay. The rest of my estate,
my properties in Mississippi, Georgia,South Carolina, my bank accounts, investment

(42:05):
portfolios, all liquid and intangible assets, everything, all of it will go
to my children, John and Misha. Girls. All your life. I've
been telling you to make your millions, and I hope you have. Okay,
if not, you can always sellthe house and split the profit.
But my entire estate, um,my entire estate belongs to John and Misha,

(42:30):
and it is up to them todo with it what they will.
Oh wow, is truly the leastI can do, as I and this
country have failed you. Whoa doeshe talk about personal? He can't say
an the whole world with these babies. All right, So we have it

(42:52):
there. I don't know if it'sreal still, because now we're living in
a world of ai chatchee pte ofthose things too. I'm gonna take that
to the heart. I feel itis real because his voice, it's coming
from his because he's no, he'sleaving here and when it's time to come

(43:15):
that one day, it's all ofus. Our time is going to be
up. You can save things fromthe heart on your death bed. And
he came clean before it called himhome, just like my dad. You
know, twenty seven years another manraised me and my mother was dating both
of them at the same time. But he knew all that time, and

(43:37):
they kept this secret and not tornamentedme. Now these kids can release and
be free, and they have themoney to to how I could say,
sustain the hurt and their heart intheir life. They can go on and
become something Pope. They write abook between Miss Brown's father and Jerry comment

(44:00):
Liberties, and this is a commentI mean even like with the Jackson mister
Joe Jackson daughter, I'm a friendwith you. Guys don't realize Janet,
no, no, this is outsideof child. That's like me. I
don't want to say bastard because I'mnot gonna let nobody tille me that,

(44:20):
but me and her talk. Imean, this is really going on in
the world when these men's is famecelebrities, you know, you have the
women's it's just the women's fat asmuch as the man. But he loved
that black woman, did y'all?Hear what he said? He told the
children of his that he loved thatblack woman. So this sort of like

(44:42):
this uh movie roots. So therewas no way for Jerry, a real
way for Jerry to like move youknow, like the Mormon people. He
moved me both into the house togetheror he didn't have no guys, you
hear what he said. He hadno guts that this he he let this
woman do what she did with herselfishness and her eveness. Now it's time

(45:04):
for her and I hate to saythat her poor children is gonna pay for
what. She's gonna go straight tocourt. Why did she Why didn't she
want anyone to know about Jerry's blackkids? Tell me what played upon?
One of the presidents have a wholeblack family, Thomas Jeff Okay, did

(45:27):
he acknowledge them? Why he was? He did? They lived in the
house with him. Besides being slaves, that's not the point. They weren't
slaves. They were house girls theycalled and the old days bad wench.
Yeah, so you know that's thejob, all right? Um kids them.
Can I ask you a celebrity question. Do you know Jamie Foxx?

(45:50):
Have you been keeping up on thestory? Two seconds on it? Anything?
Oh? My god, I cantell you I know him because I
don't know about We don't follow theinternet like that. I don't want to
say anybody sick or anything like that. Um, I just refuse to even
comment on it or anything like that. But since I have a comedian,

(46:12):
I can't tell you this. Jamieis sick. Yeah, Jamie is sick.
And a lot of people are comingforward with stories that, um,
there's a problem. They said, blame it on alcohol. Hey, we
won't say. We won't say whathappened. But people are coming forward and
saying it's some shady talk right nowthat you know some people foul play.

(46:36):
We just leave it at that. It's foul play. And you know who
was over right? Who? Whyhe got sick? How he got sick?
He? Uh? Two people, two major people in the industry are
mad at him right now. I'lltell you one and one of them is
Puffy what do what they did theCavassier no video together. Then Jamie used

(46:59):
to record pdd's parties. Oh herethe conspiracy went away. Wait puff Daddy
ain't like that. Okay, allright, that's one alone. We don't
want we don't want no bomb ackstercome in here. We leave that one
alone. Alright, alright, Um, we have miss Brown's son also in

(47:22):
the studio. I'd like to himto say a few things I heard,
well real quick, yes you can, you can stay on? Let me
yeah, chat right here, givehim the head. And this is your
first son, second son, thisis my second. And he was very

(47:42):
polite to me when I walked up. He was very Yeah, he got
big arms all that. My father'svery music and kind celebrities, cool boys
O bo By straight out of PalmSprings, California. Yeah, down to
the Coachella Valley, Coachella Valley Instagramand you got tons and tons of followers,

(48:05):
so I'm have to follow your suit. So, uh, you're into
new music? Yeah, I'm intothe music. Would you you got a
project working on right now? Youknow what. I have stepped away for
a while, but I am workingon a new album. So that's something
that I'm gonna keep on a rapHow you an instrument and instrumentator? Do
you know what portant in the field? I have a gift, right,

(48:28):
I decided to become a rap artand a beautiful voice too. Do you
do you right for other people? Also? Have you done that? You've
done that? Man, It's beenmyself right now? Okay, look into
that. Also, that's our sidemoney I need to yeah, yeah,
side hustle. And how's the weatherout there? Because I'm always hot?
Okay, it's always hot. It'salways here. About the end of music?

(48:51):
You grew up with it? Whatyour mother wanted me to sick?
How did you come up? Honestly? Man um music has always been around
uh man. As a little kid, man, I was one. I
was one of them little kids thatused to always be around for a lot
of her highlight shows that she usedto bring to the Coachella Valley. You

(49:12):
know, so, like she saidearlier banging on wax Um, you know
a lot of people don't know CoachellaValley before the Coachella Fest and all that.
When it came to urban music, they used to hold uh uh function
called the Urban Network back in thenineties. You know what I mean,
the late early in the late nineties, you know what I mean. It
was called the Urban Network, Soyou had a lot of up and coming

(49:35):
rap stars, you know, wouldcome to Palm Springs at which is known
now as it was the River ErraHotel back then, but it's the Margaritaville
now. Okay, Yeah, sowhat we see a festival again? You
had mentioned it earlier. What wasthat the Urban Network? Right, the
Urban Network. It was the UrbanNetwork, that's what it was called,

(49:57):
the Urban Network. And your momshe was a she was she was one
of the co founders. Yeah, she was actually one of the top promoters.
And after after you know, sheused to be with the She used
to run with um Manum Interscope.Uh man, you gott understand. I
was a kid, you know whatI mean? So I don't so let
me ask you one final question, all right, that wasn't it. The

(50:22):
question is did your mama ever takeyou to the nightclub as a as as
minor? Man? You know that'sfunny though we've never been to the nightclubs,
right, but it's funny because sheused to always have after functions,
you know what I mean. Sheused to always have things going on that
I remember one time in the NorthPond Springs back in excuse my language,

(50:43):
back in the early two thousands oralf Man half Man. She had a
big punch in her backyard party.Second question, does that make me a
bad father? Because I brought upmy daughter to the nightclub. I was
promoting my wife. We were, you know, she's doing the duncing and

(51:07):
I'm doing a hosting and the babywas in the office and I felt,
but okay, you know what,I'm gonna be real with you. You
know, it's nothing. It's justlisten. It's like you're giving your child.
Uh, You're giving your child ahistory, giving your child a piece
of your artwork and your your form. You know, I learned a lot
uh as I was in this business, you know, as a kid from

(51:27):
the outside looking in, I've seenhow everything was just unfolding, and you
know, met a lot of people. It's crazy because I can actually be
like down I was there, youknow what I mean. I hear a
lot of um rap artists as theywere around for certain things, and I
was, I know what that feelslike because you know, like I said,
man, I didn't met and seeinga lot of people that she had
us around, and as I gotolder, I'm like, damn, there

(51:50):
was somebody, you know what Imean, So you still starstruck at this?
No in your life? No doyou care? Do you fan out?
No? No, no, no, I'm not start you know what,
let me you know what, I'lltake that back man, um Um.
You know, like I said,I was coming up. Shout out
to the LA Bangers, man.Let me get that out the way that
LA Bankers is the independent label straightout of LA Shout out to my my
boy CEO, Rob Blow Charlie jum Um. This was a regulabor that

(52:16):
I was signed to. But wehad did a big show for the Orange
County block party for ice Cube, okay, and I'm a big fan of
Corrupt and Dash man, you know, I mean, I was a big
fan. So, like I said, I met a lot of people,
but I met dads, you knowwhat I mean. And that was you
found out. I was like,no, I didn't not just you know,

(52:39):
I kept I grabbed him and putmy arms around him, and I
knew I shouldn't have done that. And that's the only person I've ever embarrassed
myself. Well that's not the onlyperson you know shout out to tell me
when I met him, I wasjust like, you know, it's it's
it's crazy because I'm a big,like I said, a big dog pound
fan and I we know, reallya POC fan, you know. But

(53:01):
I was able to meet and shakehands and have conversations with a lot of
people that met and I see,you know what I mean. So that's
just crazy within itself, you knowwhat I mean. So that's the blessings
of being one of them little kidsrunning around and then getting into the music
game. I'm kind of getting thatsame experience right now with Mickey Brown right

(53:23):
now because obviously, you know,James, mister Brown is not around,
and um, I didn't have theopportunity to even be in his presence in
those years and to be sitting herewith you and be able to rub up
on you and to look at yourbook and to feel you. I feel

(53:44):
like, yeah, I meant theman professional, Yeah, yeah, that's
Mom's over. But you know what, at the end of the day,
man, it's it's it's a trueblessing, man, you know what.
Like I said, it taught mea lot that humbled me out in a

(54:05):
lot of ways. And you know, you never know when you take chances
in life and your humble you know, like I said, uh, you
know a lot of At the timeof coming up, man, you know,
I was one of the ones ina style of phone, a microphone,
in a sweaty garage. I cameup with a lot of friends out
there in the valley in the coatrollavalley as I was started to rapp and
you know, and I used toalways come to her like, my mom,
take me serious, you know, but she she she took me serious,

(54:27):
but she was like more like, you gotta fool yourself. You gotta
work, you know, to getout. I put in. I started
working, and you know, Ifrom and it was crazy to go from
that little kid from the Urban Networkand pond screens running around the hallways and
stuff and seeing all these stars totwo thousand and um and its documented from
two thousand and eighteen and nineteen whenthey did it in Los Angeles. I
ran it, you know what Imean. I was. I tore down

(54:51):
so I got to experience performing.I got to experience, okay, I
got to experience and perform and domy thing. And like I said,
man, it's always been a crazyjourney. And then and you know,
of course the pan a blessing, but of course the pandemic happen slowed a
lot of things down, so weright here picking up everything young. So
so yeah, yeah, you couldbeat my little hue. But this new

(55:15):
technology, are you adapting to it? Not yet? Now? You know
what, it's crazy because everybody's beentalking about it. But that new uh,
you don't like scary as a threat? I don't, I mean,
I don't you know what's crazy?Man? I had met ah, I
had met a somebody that had toldme about it, and I'm not gonna
say her name, but she's aI'm a long story short. She she

(55:38):
was real good friends with John Singleton, right, this was just an anonymous
situation, and she was talking aboutit, and you know, I was
just asking her a quick question, like, well, how do you get
over writer's block or whatever? Andthen she brought that up the robots and
let the robot do it. Soit's like we're living in them times where
it's like, you know, sowell, all I can say about that

(56:00):
is let's learn from man, notsaying you have to embrace it, but
you know, you gotta know whatyou're dealing with out there exactly. We're
coming up to the end of thehour. May well quit before we go
out. I want to say onemore thing, Uh, Mickey Brown,
