Speaker 1 (00:00):
What is up everybody? Today, we are taking a trip
to Poland. Down to Poland, right down to down to
up to up to to.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
He's sure to the east. We're going some story out.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
The window, wrapped down my ball.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
That's exactly what I think of when I think of Poland.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Jesus.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Today, we're evning the new Behemoth album, The Ship of God.
It's called the Ship of God. I need to start
this again. This is a train wrap so we had
(00:58):
so so our listeners are having two new episodes from
us this week because not only did we do the
new sleep Token record even in Arcadia reviewed that, we
are also reviewing Behemoth's new album, The Shit of God.
We did we actually did a Behemoth episode. I think
like a year ago or so. Maybe hear ago and
I remember not being a big fan of Nerdle. I
(01:21):
think he's highly pretentious. I don't like I don't, but
I appreciate the quality behind the music and that Behemoth
is basically like Metallica for black metal fans, Like, that's
basically what Behemoth is. Like Behemoth and critical of filth.
Like if you like black metal, you probably don't like
Behemoth very much because they're like mainstream what I would
(01:42):
consider like just like a more mainstream metal band at
this point. Yeah, but I was not too into them.
And then we did the we when they dropped the
song the Shit of God. We reviewed it a few
episodes back, and I remember being very surprised I liked
it and she did like it. Then going through like
a blast beat era right now in my musical life,
lots of stuff I'm writing has a lot of blast beats,
(02:03):
so I like appreciated the quality behind it. But just
real quick, just so that our listeners who maybe didn't
check out that album or that that episode, just to
let let them know about how like if you guys
like Behemoth, how big of a fan are you a Behemoth?
Just like that, So we'll start with Baji.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
I like Behemoth. I'm not a big big fan, but
I do like them, like I like, I like their songs.
Just to me, it's like I just get that it
all sounds the same vibe. After a couple of songs,
I'm just like I've heard it. Yeah, but like still
I think it's I still think they're a good band, Okay, Rudy.
Speaker 5 (02:43):
Yeah, dude, I love Behemoth.
Speaker 6 (02:44):
I've been listening to them since I think the first
album I ever heard from them was Demigod Yeah in
two thousand and four. Are we talking about like life experiences.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
In the end or no?
Speaker 1 (02:56):
No, no, just like like.
Speaker 6 (02:57):
I've seen them multiple times, dude, I feel like, for
only fucking four dudes playing instruments, do they're fucking like
sounds like a metal orchestra.
Speaker 7 (03:06):
Dude.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
So I'm a big Behemoth fan.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
I love the sound GOTCHNDI.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
I would say I'm more relatively like newer Behemoth fan,
you know, compared to like, you know, two thousand and four.
I don't know. At one point I did get into them,
but I would say I'm a casual Behemoth fan, if
I have to be honest. Yeah, Like I don't listen
to them all the time, but when I do, it's
like like it selects songs from like albums or if
(03:35):
I'm going through like a phase where I just want
to listen to my Nasties playlist and yeah, there's gonna
be a lot of shit in there, a lot of
shit of God, a lot of sets of Okay.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, never been a big Behemoth fan, but I did
like the last single and I'm looking forward to reviewing
this uh this album. Now, I've heard some things from
metal fans about the regarding this album, and I've heard
positive and negative. I've heard more negative stuff. It's kind
of hard for me to like track that because I
did like what I heard leading into this album as far.
(04:11):
Just like the one single Rudy, you've I haven't heard
this album. I'm going into this one blind outside of
just a single, actually not just Rudy. But have you
guys heard this album since it dropped yesterday? Yes, one
and a half.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
I heard it what like one full time and oh
I got to halfway the album the second time.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Okay, I heard a lot, dude.
Speaker 6 (04:31):
I had it on a repeat from Thursday night as
soon as it came out, before I went to bed.
Listen to it twice, okay, and then throughout the day Friday,
I listened.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
To it good like four or five times. So I
heard multiple.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Times uh baji once and that was about it.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Got it.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
So before we get into the album, we have to
produce introduce ourselves. I forgot to add the introductions at
the top. I'm your host, Anthony spots On to the
right of me, is my co host co host?
Speaker 2 (04:58):
What's up, guys. This is metal Hondra in the house
in front of.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
Me, So, guys, it's rudy.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
And to the right of me, it's your boy, Bajijiaji.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
I feel like you left all your sexy in the
sleep Token episode. In this episode, you seem.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Just sexy it out.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
These guys all peak on milked.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
You ever see the anime porn like that the hend
Ties when the chick is like lying in bed after
sex and she's just like, yeah, that's Baji right now.
Just dripping is your chest hair as it's sweaty right now.
It's all a little bit if you were to take
it off or look like someone put like a wet
(05:39):
rag on your chest, it's a little it's a little
little moist. But well, we're gonna see if we can
amp up that sexyist. Do you find any sexiness with Behemoth?
I know that's a weird fucking question, but yeah, sometimes
I do. Okay, it's weird, like that was a joke question,
but okay, it's weird.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Sometimes I do see that upside across and going.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
He blows his own trumpet, the trumpet of Baji.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Alright, so we're gonna get into this album. We're gonna
play about the first minute two minutes of each song
and then offer our thoughts on the song, and then
at the end of the album, we're gonna drop our rating. Myself,
Rudy and Alberto. We have like a one to ten scale.
The mathematician over here likes to do points, so we're
gonna see in fractions pretty so much. God, dude, he
(06:34):
start doing Calculus X plus y equals. So yeah. So
I've been trying to find the credits for this record.
That's right there, but I can't find six.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
And I've never seen a night until now.
Speaker 8 (06:49):
All right, six and three thirds act, not the two.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
I'm sorry. So you guys ready ready to go?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Let's go do it?
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Uh see, I'm all top talk this. They're talking him some.
I'm trying to like ramp it up. Uh the Ship
of God from Behemoth. This first track is called the
Shadow of Lea. Okay, Joss, some.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Shadows, socks.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Shutout shadows, all right, shadow late. I got a bun
of pick with you? Why I got a bun of
pick with you? Okay? Well, first off, I I like
the song. I think it's pretty cool. I love I
love the sound as of the intro. I like the
(08:52):
like weird eerie trumpets, the like kind of like the
horns of Gabriel. That sounds pretty sick to me. I
love that it's not all it's all fast, but I
love that it's not all blasphy that it is. You know,
you do have like a two steppy part. I'm loving
the rides, like the fucking the micing of the riodes.
I think that sounds like you're saying, so I'm surprised.
(09:13):
I like what I hear so far.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
I like it.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
The mom I gotta pick with you is on the
sleep Token, so I'm bringing sleep crossing over the episodes
you said, oh yeah, Like there was a song I
think it was even in Arcadia where I was like
he was saying like, you know, the gods and this
and that and the swords and the sharpening of the blades,
and You're like, I just sounds religious and I'm not
into it.
Speaker 6 (09:32):
This is anti religion though. That wasn't pro religion, but
it sounded religious like a lot of Sleep Token songs
to me, sounds like it was sung in a choiry dude,
like you're in church and like this has but this
is evil though that's the difference.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
Oh really, this is this is metal? Do you understand
what I'm getting out a hero? And yeah, like okay,
well the sleep token thing was you know, is it metal?
Speaker 9 (09:59):
Is it?
Speaker 10 (10:00):
You know?
Speaker 6 (10:00):
When I when I'm gonna listen to fucking black metal,
especially Behemoth, I know what I want to listen to
at the moment. Some fucking sitting is fucking satanic, fucking metal,
black metal, you know.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Okay, And this delivers.
Speaker 8 (10:20):
Like, oh, you'll take a very black whole thing to do.
But it's very it technicated nicely.
Speaker 9 (10:30):
All right.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
So thoughts on the Shadow Late great opening song, Yeah, yeah,
great opening, Love the trumpet intro, Love this part like
I know you hear you hear that in in death metal.
Speaker 8 (10:42):
But it's just I don't know what it is.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Just it's very They did something to it that make
tweak a little bit, that makes it stand out a
bit more, let's look it for.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Sure, more raw like production compared to the previous albums. Yeah,
guitar ways, so I appreciate that. Yeah, it's a good opener.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
The production is great. I love the production all right,
and that the guitars sound like live amps exactly, not
like plugins.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Not like fucking compressed as fun, like it sounds raw not.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
To talk ship because we use plugins for our album.
Yeah for sure, Like this sounds like it was live recording,
which is great. It's a broa the fresh air. The
next song Sewing Salt, there we go. Somebody's gonna listening
to Gerra.
Speaker 9 (11:39):
Sad all that.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
God like the atmosphere as joys a little Jonathan Davis.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
I heard the wife is very family.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
I like when he's doing a whole voice in general
very how did you say, Like it's very but it's
like it's very wrong. Like the recording of his voice
is very raw, and I like that a lot because
like it's not you know, like they didn't do too
much mixing with his voice. The vocals sound very raw.
Speaker 8 (13:02):
I do love that.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Plus like the music, you know, typical black metal stuff,
but I feel.
Speaker 8 (13:09):
Like they're they have they're adding like a tinge.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
I can't put my finger on it, but it's like
it's a tinge that makes it just different enough where
you're like, you know what it does?
Speaker 8 (13:19):
Sound different?
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Yeah? Gotcha? Gotcha? Uh So in Salt thoughts, I liked it.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
I mean it's growing on me the more I listen
to because again I only heard it, like technically this
song twice, but yeah, I definitely like it more each
time I listened to it, Rudy, I like it.
Speaker 7 (13:38):
I like it.
Speaker 6 (13:39):
It's very atmospheric, how you were saying, it's like a
I don't know, dud. Whenever I hear Behemoth, I imagine
like a whole fucking like like a war type of
battlefield of chaos going around and shit, you know, And
I like everything about it, honestly, gotcha.
Speaker 8 (13:52):
But they gotta be fighting evil, right, They can't be
fighting good.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
No, they're they're they're fighting there there.
Speaker 6 (13:57):
They're the evil ones, fighting like you know, and pillaging
religious fucking people.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
And yeah, I was like all the sleep about fucking right,
fucking sleep toalkns like fucking in their songs, like very religious.
Just all right, you know already it's cool. We're gonna
squash that beef perspective.
Speaker 6 (14:19):
There is one thing in this album does fucking emphasize
so much on God. He was very repetitive in a
couple of songs talking about God. This God Dad. That's
all bro, we get it.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
You hate him, like you know, but that's that's his
whole thing. Exactly, that's the whole thing.
Speaker 6 (14:34):
But I do feel like in this album specifically more
it's it's like getting borderline, ay bro, like a little cringey.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
What else do you want him to write about?
Speaker 5 (14:41):
Well? I mean, can it be other other words? God?
You know, like what's the name of the album, Ship
of God? Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
What do you think the album is gonna be about?
Speaker 9 (14:51):
No?
Speaker 6 (14:51):
I mean I still love it, but I feel like
it got it got a little repetitive at some point, is.
Speaker 5 (14:57):
What I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
So I'm not a big fan of that song.
Speaker 10 (14:59):
No.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
I like the pick scraping intro. I was like, oh shit,
and then it kind of like going into the atmosphere.
I'm like, okay, cool, like it's it's cool, Like it's not.
I think for me, it is a little bit of
a drop off from the first song. The first song
was like hot fire, like I spent hot fire. You know.
This one was like okay, cool, you know, let's go
to the next one. You know. So that's kind of
where I'm at. I don't think it sucked. I it
was cool. I probably wouldn't listen to that one again.
(15:21):
I think the shadow ly I was like, right, now,
I mean between the two, I'm stupid.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Right, how terary you? I mean it definitely. Like I said,
this is like the third time I hear it, and
I'm kind of like, okay, you know, but I was
probably on board with my first listen.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
I was like, okay, So the next song is a
single that I heard, we did it here on the podcast. Uh,
this is the Ship of.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
God, My flesh, bring my blood.
Speaker 9 (15:49):
I am the ship of God.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Who's the fire.
Speaker 9 (16:31):
You feel like the sun? I am fire of black light?
Speaker 7 (16:36):
Don't go old by Private and dark lighten and nod
by wrecks down styles, the Cretics, troublic by our Birthday.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Oh ship.
Speaker 10 (16:56):
Dress.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
So I made a mistake when we did the the
original single for the album. It wasn't the Ship of God.
It was the Shadow Lead. The Shadow Lead was the
Yeah that was yeah, because really, yeah, it wasn't this one,
because I remember saying I love the blast beats and
I love like right and this one's like oh this,
this wasn't it. This is just you know, well, okay,
(17:35):
I like this song a lot like this ship right here,
Yes that like the opera.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
This this song specifically reminds me a lot of the
album The Satanist dude with the whole those opera and
like atmospheric fucking sounds to it. Dude, Yeah, I love it,
and I feel like out of this whole album, his
vocals and this song was like fucking like super fucking raw,
but like like great, dude.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Well he's pissed. He's mad. He's mad at a mythical
figure for some reason. Bottom line, Bro, I don't know,
like I get the oh I hate like the the
meaning well, I mean I don't. I don't know. I'm
not gonna get into it because to me, I don't know,
I'm not gonna get into it.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
Is heavily Catholic, and I think that's what like a
big influence behind his like you know, retaliation against because
they're always fucking with him.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
I don't know what the God did to him. I
was like, fuck you no, like it's it's I get it.
It's the church right, politics heavily, But the message behind
the religion and the message behind it is is very good.
Like it's like it's it's a it's a full of love.
Why would you hate that? Like, like I know, like
(19:01):
people like, oh, God's cringing, you know whatever, Like I
get that, like you know, but I don't know. Like
it's like, dude, you're so fucking invested in this, you're
practically a Christian. You're just on the opposite end. It's
like you're on the You're you're on another extreme. You're
either for pedophilia or no, that's not fucking it, dude,
all right, anyways, should have God thoughts, good songs, just
(19:26):
trying to get through. He's like, good song, good song,
let's go.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
No, I love I like the song. I love the
fucking orchestra. I dig it.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
It's a well written song.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
The next song on the playlist is uh lucifer Luciferian Lucifer.
I want to pronounce this Luciferian. What a surprise, A surprise.
This one's about the devil, the devil Bobby and how
much he loves the devil. All right, see, I'm giving
(19:59):
their a whole time.
Speaker 5 (20:00):
I need to stop.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
I just it's it's what his character is. This isn't
who he is as a person. It's the character that
he don't know. I think that's who he is as
a human. I don't think that's I'm pretty sure. I'm
pretty sure it's an over exaggeration. I'm pretty sure he
doesn't like the church. I'm pretty sure he hates it.
But I think it's like such like an over exaggerated
character because it's a it's an argument that you could
easily like fucking debate and I and he seems like
(20:21):
a very intelligent person. I'm like, I don't know, I
don't know. Okay, So Luciferian.
Speaker 11 (20:56):
Credotublive O, God, My Gods.
Speaker 7 (21:12):
Sounder boss, there's not sun arm Si, it's farm.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Exerse Okay, So I see what you mean by the lyrics.
Speaker 6 (21:50):
That's what I'm saying, that he's fixated on God, which
I understand. But you know, I've heard it like past
three four songs and you'll see, you'll see there's there's
a pad.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
I mean.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
So I've been trying to read the lyrics as we
go along. It seems like anything that isn't directly about
God is like really cool, Like the lines are particularly
really well. Everything that has to do with God sounds
very like a third grader who's mad at the sky,
for example. And I get it, like sometimes it could
be like a little you know, Okay, So like, let's
raise this tellice of shadowed hopes, full of ills, start
(22:24):
poisoned wine. Let's raise a grill and drink to him.
And then here's where we get to it. To Lucifer,
his lights are blind? Good night. If I am God,
everyone is?
Speaker 2 (22:37):
I say?
Speaker 1 (22:38):
If I am God? If I am not, none exists.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
Amen, bro, bro, Amen, you're.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Pumping millions of dollars into this record. Can we can
we not fucking just sit down for a couple of evenings,
But let me figure out I could write a well
thought out chorus if I am God, if I am not?
For you know, say two goddamn questions the same fucking line.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Dude, if I am God.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
See, Okay, I'm not hating on on the song or
on the music because I'm like, dude, like like this
is I mean this? This this.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
I hate.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
I'll take it from Rudy because you pay attention to
lyrics more than me, and you know, but yeah, if
you feel.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
This is why you should py attention to lyrics. By
the way, and this is hit right. A well written song.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Has, I guess a redundancy.
Speaker 5 (23:29):
So I see that.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Okay, So I just said something that I got to
think about I don't think it's a good song.
Speaker 6 (23:34):
Music instrumental, instrumentally wise, it's good, it's good lyric.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
That is a good song is a combination of good music,
good vocal performance, and good lyrics. And if one of
those three things is not there, then this song is
not a good song. Like you could be somebody like
Alex who.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
You listen to the out of three aids all right,
you know, I tak.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
That a great song, right, A great song has all
three a good song, Yeah, I'll go with the U
Alex two out of three. But to me, the lyrics,
the lyrics are so bad it kind of kills. It's
like it's kind of like watching like a big budget
action movie and you're like, fuck, this is pretty badass,
but the acting is atrocious. So when there's not big
action scenes and you're in the in between moments, you're like, fuck,
(24:20):
this movie sucks. Oh big action sing ah, this movie sucks.
That doesn't make it a good movie. That just means
that those scenes were really cool, but it doesn't make
it a good movie. Right, So that's what this is
kind of with me. Well, at least this song, I
won't I won't put my judgment on the other the
previous songs. Yeah, now we're kind of we're kind of
getting into what I thought I was already gonna judge
(24:40):
in the album, which is the difference between the first
the first half, and the back half. So I was
kind of already thinking that when really when you were like, oh, like,
he's come on, brother, let's talk about something else. Let's
figure I think that this is where the redundancy is
starting to come into play. Yeah, I say that, But anyways,
I like this song. I think it's cool and that's it.
I think it's it's a good song.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
Yeah, Like like I I aside from lyrics because for
BAHEMI if I don't really care about lyrics, Like I
like his vocals, but with like just like what I've
been hearing from this album, I just love like the
raw vocals they are doing with him, like the like
the like they barely they're barely touching it.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Yeah, all right, we're gonna get into the next song.
To drown the son in Vine and Wine and fine
and to drown this vine. All right, To Drown the
Son and Wine.
Speaker 5 (25:37):
It's my favorite song to the album.
Speaker 7 (26:02):
Who All Jompton like John turn your Fair words Rams
down Ray Charge and say that.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Would a person song and as turns race all.
Speaker 9 (26:17):
Second Day.
Speaker 7 (26:22):
Nights to in as fair It's not there you all
Chompton Chop Jun Jim raised.
Speaker 8 (26:46):
All is not God Damn.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
I love that title to Drown the Sun and Wine.
I think it's sick. That's pretty like it. I think
it sounds pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (26:54):
We hear God's name once in the song and it's
sucking great.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yeah, it's great.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
So that's what I'm saying that that was my only
negative about it, Like I'm tired of hearing the word God.
Yeah you know, but I mean the album title, So,
I you know, this song I love though. This is
my fair fucking song. I feel like high octane the
whole fucking way.
Speaker 10 (27:13):
Dude.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
It's also still symphonic and like you know, the atmospheric, very.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Dark pauses and breaks and then the fucking use of
the chorus, the kind of yeah you know, like yeah,
it's a good song.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
It's a good song.
Speaker 8 (27:27):
I just love that lyric. Captain love that.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
So we're all feeling it. We're all are we gonna
drown girdle in wine? I don't know, We're gonna check

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Okay, I like this song.
Speaker 6 (30:18):
Yeah, I was like, okay, heavy, It's like a big
ass build up, like you're about to go through the
fucking gates of something dude.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Type of ship.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Not hell though, for sure, the gates of Doom, the Vaticans,
the Vatican.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
We're going to storm the Vaticans, the Vatican and to
get our crucify.
Speaker 8 (30:40):
You know, we're going to bring him back to America
where he belongs.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Yeah, the pope's American. Come on, Mark, Mark, first American pope.
We can't do that. We gotta let him, let him
be in there, let me do ship. He hates Trump,
so that's good for us. Yeah, he's an anti.
Speaker 8 (30:52):
Tron McDonald's out there.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
Get McDonald's the Vatican with Peru, so that's pretty So
he's a good pope's except for the fact that he's Catholic.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
He just he was hanging out with the village people
in Peru and spreading Christianity. So that's the only thing.
Speaker 5 (31:09):
We're like, well.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Whatever, all right, So we're praising the pope on a beam.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
I have a criticism.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
You like the We like the first American pope. Now
let's get into the have gone.
Speaker 4 (31:27):
No fucking I like the I love the song. I
think for me, it's like the best song off the album.
I like it, okay a lot more than the other one.
Speaker 8 (31:33):
But yeah, fucking great song.
Speaker 5 (31:36):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
I feel like Rudy's real happy right now because we
got We've got two songs left, and I think the
room is vibing.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
So yeah, I think these last two songs are fucking sick.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
All right, all right, we're gonna go into the next one. Uh,
this one is Oh Venus come not no no no no.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
Back Glassy Hoping is coming.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
I wonder what this song is about.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
The ships, God, I wonder.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
I gotta ship on something on this album because I
don't like her, right, I.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Mean got how you gottah?
Speaker 1 (32:28):
What the cors of guitar do?
Speaker 9 (32:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (32:45):
Oh God, for christ.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
Tracks it's John dress sword. What they says the.
Speaker 9 (33:01):
Ward, I don't grd.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
I'm told the warrant my sleep, the girls litter b soul.
Speaker 9 (33:16):
What they says the hard.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Maybe time to.
Speaker 7 (33:37):
Take my eyes say take my hand and a glass
count minion, take nice eyes.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
Oh yeah, God's punishing you, broke, God.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
Oh God is punishing me.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
My mic is out. Check check check.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
Check mike out. That's random ma a a with Canadians.
I gotta push it in, push it in a the
way wait talk no, no, mike, check up. That's fine,
(34:30):
now is that?
Speaker 8 (34:31):
Oh what the fuck? What in the fuck up God?
Speaker 2 (34:37):
You do emergency Mike?
Speaker 1 (34:40):
All right, we're sharing mics, Jesus Christ, okay, to make
it the all right, So my mic just went out.
Speaker 5 (34:46):
As a metology first note episode the Wrath of God.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Okay. So I'm just gonna so now I gotta get
back on God's good side. I do not like that
fucking song.
Speaker 7 (34:59):
Like that.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
No, I didn't like it. I thought it was just okay.
Now now it's a little too much, and it just
I would have preferred if they would have just kept
with like the blast beats and stuff.
Speaker 5 (35:08):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
I'm okay, So now I know I don't like Slow Behemoth.
I was really yeah, I'm not liking Slow Behemoth. And
also too, I think it's really cringing when they go slow.
I think fast is like they're fucking badass. I think
slow is kind of like, come on, man, I love
that song.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
I appreciate that they've sos what I was just gonna say,
they've done better slow songs.
Speaker 5 (35:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:32):
I just appreciate that, like this whole album hasn't just
been straight blast beats. Yeah, I appreciate That's the one
thing I appreciate about this album is that it's just
not all blast beats. The entire song I do appreciate. Like,
I like this song because it slows down, but it's
like I just like it. It's different.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (35:53):
I thought the placement of this song was perfect.
Speaker 7 (35:55):
Dude.
Speaker 6 (35:55):
Right, that's the very end, you know, like they're bringing
you down a little bit, just before they give you
one last goodbye, dude, And I like it, Like this
is the part this song, Dude, I can see it
like being played. You're just fucking drenched in sweat, dude,
tired as fun, just you know, vibe into it.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
Yeah, I like it. You got you all right, So
we're gonna get in the last song. This one is
called dude, I can't pronounce the ah, that's okay, So
it's called the dread Vulture. In parentheses, it's the dread Vulture,
the dread Vulture, the credible fucking ship.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 7 (37:15):
Yeah, a lot of lad you say your last last
episold or dynamis or except a lot my years your lad.
Speaker 10 (37:57):
Years.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
I'm checked out. Yeah, I'm done. I'm done, You're done,
checked out for god? Yeah, okay, So yeah, the last
two songs. I'm not digging. I'm just it's fine. It's fine.
I liked a lot more of this album than I
thought I was, so that's good, and I enjoyed the listen.
You know, I'm just I think I just checked out
(38:20):
because now I'm like, okay, now, just it's the same ship.
It just sounds the same as like when they were
going fast. And that's fine, you know, it is what
it is. For me, I did enjoy more the first
half of the record more than the backout, for sure.
I think the back out fell off for me. And
I think it's just like I said, it's just not
enough variety. You're either going slow metallica sad but true
(38:42):
kind of style, or you're going fast blast beats, and
you switch between the two. And I mean, I think
that the band excels when they're going fast, when they're
like at the high octane energy fast ship. So yeah,
the Shadow of Lead, I think it's still fucking killer
track like that. That song was in my mind already.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
You got a score and mind, I.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
Have a scorn. Mind, I have a scorn mind.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
What what what would be your score there?
Speaker 1 (39:07):
The score would be a six out of ten.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
They can say six six six out of ten.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
Six point sixty six out of ten. Yeah, it's just
like I'm I'm probably listened to the Shadow Lea, and
I'll probably listen to the Shit of God, and that's
probably gonna be the only report repetitive songs that I'll
be listening to. I thought that this song was really good,
Like if you guys were to play him like on
a trip or something like that, I wouldn't be like,
oh fuck, they're playing Behemoth, Like if it's something off
(39:32):
this record right now, I'm like, okay, cool, I can
I can? I fuck I fuck with it, I can
fuck with it. But it doesn't appeal to me as
a listener as much. But I think, yeah, the blast
beats and all the fast stuff, I think it said
so for me A six point sixty six.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
Wow. Yeah, I mean, just to summarize, I think it's
better than their last record, a little bit better. There's
four tracks that are like cool for me, that are
like you can easily just like fucking grab and put
them on a playlist. But yeah, i'd say it's like
(40:09):
a whereas the last record I'd say was like a
six to seven out of ten. I'd say, this one
was like a seven and a half out of ten,
which is not bad. You know, it's a it's a
good record, but you know, there's a couple of tracks
that are just like whatever, they just blend in or
like you just leave them playing in the background. But
four good tracks, though, for me, that's like that's best
(40:32):
fucking best case scenario for a band or an album.
At least give me like three for you know, tracks
to fucking put my playlist. But yeah, no, I'd say
seven and a half out of ten.
Speaker 6 (40:45):
Really, I give it a eight. I enjoyed this album,
you know, I I wanted to hear a new Behemoth.
This is new Behemoth.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (40:53):
This is Behemoth. You know what Behemoth is.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
That's what they sound like right now.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
So, I mean I've had it on replay for the
past two days.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
Now.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
I enjoy it. I'm gonna keep enjoying it.
Speaker 4 (41:05):
Yeah, Okay, I can see that I'm in between a
seven or eight, so I'm gonna just go like seven
and a half.
Speaker 10 (41:14):
I like.
Speaker 8 (41:15):
What I do like is that I do like the production.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
I do love production is great.
Speaker 4 (41:19):
Yeah, like I love I like his vocals a bit
more than the other albums. They just that they they
sound raw, and I think it's more like they sound live. Yeah,
like for sure, like if you were to see him live,
like that's what you would be hearing. And that's something
I enjoy. But like another part of it is like,
you know, mostly if all sounds the same. So the
(41:42):
fact that this is like a ninth song album actually
does it makes it helps It helps it for me
because it's like usually around like the eighth or ninth
song is when it's like okay, now it's fucking repetitive.
But I mean I do love like the the diversity
and like the songs in a sense of like you
have your fast songs and your slow songs, and I
(42:05):
appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
Yeah, I think going longer would have hurt the album.
Speaker 4 (42:08):
Yeah, going longer definitely would have hurt them. But like
I think it's like a seven and a half. For me,
it's like it's good songs, but it's like I've heard
them before, so it's nothing, nothing new, but it's still enjoyable.
Speaker 5 (42:23):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
All right, So that is it for this review. I
think as just as a podcast, I think we all
