Speaker 1 (00:26):
Can? Can I start the podcast? What is up everybody? Today?
We are talking about pioneers of black metal. This is
a black metal episode and we're ready to go. You
guys might see two screens up top. We have a
third screen right below. It's gonna be a special surprise.
Don't be alarmed, don't be scared. What you're seeing the darkness.

(00:47):
The darkness is soon come to light darkness soon. Where
we're we're we're planning a jump scare. So give it
a second, you guys. Today we are talking about mayhem
here on oh ship, yeah ship, Oh dude. I was
not expected, you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I like the fucking fucking pain bro fucking uh yeah,
a fucking abbot quality.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
It was easy to do, so thank you and that's
it's hard.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
I tried before, and that miserable, like miserably.

Speaker 7 (01:51):
Yeah, especially just just trying to get the crosses is like, okay,
in the ass.

Speaker 6 (01:55):
Good job man, Oh yeah, kick ass.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I love that Joe in the back.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
So Juliane is on for a second time, and he's
bringing the darkness with him. He's bringing Satan with him tonight.
This is a special I would say Halloween, but we're
in May, so we're not near Halloween at all. But uh,
look at that. Look at that, Rudy, look at that,
look at that, look at that the monitor. Okay, that's right,
that's for the Sleep Token haters Japanese mask. Yeah. So

(02:25):
so Rudy has become infamous for just trashing Sleep Token.
I no, you can't, because you're in a band. We
like musicianship and that.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
That day we talked about sleep Talken. I had to
listen to them in the car because daniel wanted to
listen to That was.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Like, Danielle likes good music. She's an amazing scene. You
heard this. Yeah, Uh so for our listeners who aren't
seeing who are not seeing Julian on YouTube right now,
Julian has his corpse paint on, Julian, your character looks familiar.
Do you want to explain her? Is an original piece? Tail?

Speaker 7 (03:04):
I mean, honestly, it's not really an original piece. I
literally just looked up on Google images black metal face
paint and this is the first thing that came up.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
So got it? Got it?

Speaker 7 (03:14):
I mean, I obviously with like the paint and like
the cloak and the hood and everything. I look Likenrgle, But.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
You're rocking it. You're rocking it for sure. We appreciate
the effort. You look amazing. So we're gonna get started
real quick with some introductions, so you guys know whose
voices beautiful sultry voices you're listening to, and if you're
seeing us, who the fuck we are. I'm your host,
Anthony Spotts. On to the right of me is my
luscious Beard and Lumberjack from the South Side himself, Ladies,

(03:46):
Niedleman and Hondro in the house.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
What's up, guys, met Olhandro in the house. And in
front of me, the most beautiful yet brutal.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
You got do people.

Speaker 8 (04:00):
And Hong Kong and the Hong Kong what's up, guys,
it's Rudy And next to me is somes tenth member.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Baji and the dude in the right here on the
third screen, the gentleman giving us that deathly stare like
he's looking like it's my soul. Dude, He's either gonna
take Baji home and cut him up or make sweet
dark love to him. I don't fucking know. Uh, Ladies
and gentlemen, The heavy metal Joker himself, Julian Purnell is

(04:44):
joining us for this episode.

Speaker 7 (04:46):
Yeah, I just watch I just watched Smile recently, so
that's why I was giving out Deathly Smile. But hello Metalology.
It's good to be back here once again.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (04:54):
This is my second time for the promised second time
that I come back on. Since Baji fucked up the
Nickelback episode.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
I'm never letting him. I'm never ever letting him let
that down.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Okay, it's still there.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
It's still there, but not with me.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
So so to give listeners, we'll find a way to
give listeners context exactly, to give listeners context in case
they didn't check out the three Days Grace episode that
we did with Julian the epitome of dad Rock itself.
And then Julian decided to come on the most Black
metal episode we've probably ever done, which is amazing. To

(05:30):
give some context, so we did a Nickelback episode, like
the heavy songs of Nickelback, and I was super excited
because I'm a big Nickelback fan. I love Nickelback, and
I was super happy, and you know, myself and Julian
we curated the playlist together and put the Nickelback songs
in there. Super super fucking stoked. We spent about two
hours recording that episode. Lots of opinions. In fact, we

(05:52):
might have won some metal gatekeepers in the room over
a little bit right.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
A little bit.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Under the bus.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Yeah, yeah, thank you and uh. And then I go
back to edit Baji. So Baji is the producer of
the podcast now and Bozzie's job is to record and
set everything up and all that. And ever since he
quit to fy the Tyrants, you know, I've had to
give him more work here on Metaology, like an insanely
amount of more work. So he sent me the files

(06:21):
a couple of days later. So I went to you know,
in post production, to like edit the episodes and all
that put it together, and I'm watching Julian, like why
what happened to Julian? Why can't I hear Julian and
come to realize, Baji just completely forgot to hit that
to record Bi, I mean record Julian. And look look
at the face Julian's giving you, and I want you

(06:42):
to look into the big monitor, not the little monitor.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
That God looking down at you just read.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Hold on, I got to take a picture of this
right now, har I gotta take a picture of this. Actually,
I'm gonna take a picture Julian for the Thumbail Too podcast.

Speaker 7 (07:00):
I actually already have a thumbnail already planned for you, Tony,
so I'll send it to you right right now.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Actually awesome, awesome, I love it. Uh so yeah, So
that's the context. So after that, we felt terrible because
we live having Julian on and we promised Julian to
make it up that we would have him on two
upcoming episodes. So Julian was on the Three Days Grace
episode and he has decided to join us on the
Mayhem episode.

Speaker 7 (07:23):
Yes, and hopefully the audio is in shit like the
Three Days Grace episode, because my audio was shit the
entire episode.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
So the Three Days Grace episode was a learning curve
for Bosjie because he made a very similar mistake, except
he ended up recording the desktop audio straight from the
computer mic. And I spent a week editing that fucking episode.

Speaker 9 (07:41):
The problem.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Normally it takes me twenty minutes to edit the episode.
It took me a whole week. But I've I figured
it out. I got it all figured out. We're sure,
we're sure, we're good. Okay, got it. I'm gonna write
you up. I'll write you up. No Hong Kong in
Tijuana for three months. I've been there.

Speaker 6 (07:58):
Yeah, it's been almost a year.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Okay, here, So to get started, and I got the
text Julian by the way, So to get started. Uh,
we want to talk about we have a segment on
this show called Single Drop, which we kind of replaced
our previous segment Underground Man of the Week. It's kind

(08:20):
of you know, it wasn't doing that great, and that's okay.
It happens when we were experimenting, experimenting with other segments.
Single Drop seems to be doing okay. So today we're
talking about the new Lorna Shore single that just dropped oblivion.
So I'm a big Lorna Short fan. They are the
heaviest ban I listened to and I love Lorna Shore.

(08:41):
I love the look of the band. I'm a big
one and Ramos fan. I love the guitars. I love
everything about Lorna Short. They're everything that I love about
black metal and death metal and death core, like they're
mixed into like this blend like everything that I love.
Because I'm notorious for not liking a lot of death
metal and black metal, Lorna Shore takes everything that I
love about those genres and blends them into the like
nice death corey. You know, uh, soup, It's a soup.

(09:08):
So today Lorna Shot dropped not only the new single Oblivion,
they dropped the announcement of their upcoming album, which I'm
very excited for because I love their last solum Pain Remains,
and we loved myself and Alberta. We're big fans of
their previous EP as well, with to the hell Fire.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
So uh.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
And then they dropped tour dates and they're coming to
San Diego. So while I get that information together, we're
gonna go ahead and we're gonna listen to the entire song,
the entire song, because here on single drop we do
a whole song dead. We might talk, we might well,
we we are gonna talk. We have to talk. We
can't just play the song. We got to talk and
give our thoughts.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
That nine minute songs, so we definitely have to not
a nine minute creative.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
Well, it's eight eight minutes and twenty seconds.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Eight minutes and twenty seconds. Close eight minutes. It's listen
to your mister.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
Playoff.

Speaker 7 (10:07):
I actually brought up the idea of doing a single
job episode for this this one, but it was for
a completely different band, and then Tony messages me right
before this one is Tho's like, hey, we're doing Lorna
Shore instead, and I'm like, you know, for the for
the band that we're doing, it kind of makes sense.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Yeah, they're they're they're big stars right now. They are
killing yeah, and they're bringing just like sleep Token is.
You guys can hate on sleep Token all you want.
Sleep Token is opening the gates for the next generation
the metal as far as fans go, for sure, Lorna
Show is right up there. Lorna Show is definitely getting
people young kids, uh, into death metal, death course, stuff

(10:42):
like that, black metal. So I absolutely love Lorna Show.
They're actually one of my big influences on music that
I'm bringing to DeFi coming up in the next phase
in uh in uh later this year. Uh. Anyways, so
I'm gonna play Oblivion and while I played, I'm going
to get the information about the new album along with
the tour DDes. There you go, Julian, I see the

(11:04):
signed to find the terrans copy by the way to
find the Terrence has a new album out, Yes and
check that out and the links below.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Review is on my page as of today exactly.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Julian drops his review and we'll talk a little bit
about that review. Also, you know, here a couple kind
words from Julian after a single. Are you guys ready
to go?

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (11:21):
Are you ready?

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Rudy, let's do it. Let's do it. I like the energy.
I like it. How about you, Hondrom no Baji, I'm
fucking ready. Let's go, Julian ready, are you ready? Yeah? Ready? Okay, Yeah,
here we go, Oblivion.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Le's do this ship.

Speaker 10 (11:43):
Some some eighties Cynthia.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Okay, who's heard this song today? I've seen the music
video for it. Yeah, but it wasn't eight minutes long
the music video.

Speaker 5 (11:57):
Yeah, I saw it today.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
I haven't heard at all.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Going in wrong baby, damn right?

Speaker 5 (12:04):
Y'all are in for a fucking show.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
So rumblings are hell muss.

Speaker 11 (12:18):
Dude, fuck your mother?

Speaker 12 (12:33):

Speaker 13 (12:38):

Speaker 14 (12:39):

Speaker 2 (12:57):

Speaker 15 (13:35):

Speaker 1 (13:39):
H I don't see how thought that?

Speaker 11 (13:46):
All right?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Well we'll forgive me.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Oh, I'm gonna get it right.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
It's like the devil.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Beg condm it out.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
The drummer man fuck right. I I guarantee you he's
a marathon runner. The sense in the background, the orchestra.

Speaker 13 (14:52):
Who oh, oh my fucking god.

Speaker 12 (15:10):
That was nasty.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
What is what is want with this fucking band? Okay,
just slowing down, very beating.

Speaker 16 (15:34):
Oh mister sucks.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
All the ride? Oh it's beautiful.

Speaker 13 (15:56):
Why stick.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
I waited for the solo? We're not three minutes of
a solo? O god, son of a dish? Oh are

(16:27):
you hearing this because uh, it's kind of like an
epic of us. We're hearing the same thing.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Right, It's like demons and angels fighting.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Definitely a phone.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Ah my god, dude, it ain't done with us.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Oh my fucking that come back? What are the smaller
Roodi's face.

Speaker 12 (17:13):
Was off, Oh, don't.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Don't look at me like that. Don't you're getting hard
right now?

Speaker 4 (17:26):
I know, I know that look like this is what
hell sounds like.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Like a demon to that.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Dude, fucking dude, son of a bitch. It's like an
insane creaking the sid See arn't the clown come out
of nowhere?

Speaker 16 (18:18):
Rice?

Speaker 14 (18:26):
Huh, just just everywhere, I mean, better, rep better, you
have the whole and then and the CID.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
The SIPs just keep playing.

Speaker 11 (18:40):
Where's the solo?

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Where's the solo?

Speaker 14 (18:45):
Hondre h.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Mm hmmm, that's a.

Speaker 17 (19:03):
Sick tu.

Speaker 11 (19:05):
It's the harmony.

Speaker 14 (19:11):
Oh that's like.

Speaker 15 (19:20):
That was it?

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Dude? Fun motherfucker, motherfucker dude, I.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Did it again?

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Hit overs.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
God, that's pretty cool ending and like with a solo,
I feel like a fucking like that.

Speaker 6 (19:52):
Wow war movie fucking scene or something like.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
I like, I told a story of like people.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Today. That was today, Yeah, that was today. Julian, did
you listen to our Lorna Shore episode?

Speaker 5 (20:09):
I don't think I have actually go back, go back.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Check it out because our friends. Huh that was my choice. You,
I know, both of you had opinions. You both said
like they do a lot of the blast beats and stuff,
and there's a little much did you guys, because to
me this didn't sound as different, like it's fucking Lorna
show is becoming like Slayer, Like you're gonna get what

(20:33):
you're gonna get, Like that's what it is. Like the
way they are is the way they are. Do you
guys still feel that way after listening to Oblivion or
are you guys a little more on board with Lorna Shore?
I always liked them, what, Yeah, that's interesting.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Yeah, I think I think that's probably more a question
for me, but yeah, I would definitely check out more
of their ship from this point forward because this sounded
like the first three minutes or whatever. I don't know
how long it took before like shit really fucking started
to take off, but it really paid off, like because
I was worried at first, I was like, oh, well,
where's this going? A lot of but man, do the

(21:13):
payoff at the end, Like yeah, that breakdown also like
very unique, very fucking original, So mad props and I
don't know what else there is to say about it.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Like, dude, I hate when bands put solos at the
end of their songs, Like it's like such like a
very amateurish way of writing, but it works here. It's
like it's like a nice climax.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Yeah, exactly, it took its time.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
But thoughts on oblivion, boys, we'll start with Julian since
he's our guest.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
I heard the song today and I how Will Ramos
is able to do the things that he does with
his voice? Just I need to know how.

Speaker 7 (21:57):
I remember there was like a YouTube video of him,
like them putting like a camera down his throat and
he does like the snarls and growls and like this.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
Dude is not fucking human. He's not human at all.

Speaker 7 (22:10):
And Lorna Shore you mentioned that tour they're coming to
Saint Louis and I will be at that show and
I'm going to fucking.

Speaker 5 (22:18):
Dude, I'm not ready.

Speaker 7 (22:20):
I'm not prepared for that song because when that song
comes on, it's gonna Oblivion's gonna kill me.

Speaker 5 (22:26):
I might I might pass away that night.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
That might happen. We'll have an ambulance ready, Well, we'll
have Baji.

Speaker 7 (22:34):
Now I'm fucking dying alone. Then trusting me with Baji.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
Look, man, he'll take it. He'll take it. A masturbation
town Okay, I.

Speaker 18 (22:46):
Can you know he'll be dead?

Speaker 5 (22:49):
What are masturbation gonna do?

Speaker 1 (22:52):
No, look like, look you're gonna you're gonna see three nurses,
very ugly, very hairy nurses walk you into the ambulance
Lorna Shore and just start jacking you to bring you
back to life. And then and then you're gonna wake
up and they're gonna look at you and be like
from Boji with Love, No.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
You'll si.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Thoughts on the song fucking amazing, Like fuck, I like it.

Speaker 17 (23:24):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
No, it's sucking everybody, How did you like the song?
I like?

Speaker 17 (23:30):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
That's my cat right.

Speaker 10 (23:34):
There, very very.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Great shirt.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
I should get a sure of it. But fucking great song.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
I don't know what it is. But this year, like
I am looking yeah, I'm looking forward to this album.
But like this year with White Chapel.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Spirit Box, it's just bangers off, sleep talk weirdly even
ghosts outside of the room.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
We're taking ghosts ghost Ghost got number one.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
He's got the vinyl of the White Chapel.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
White chap Like, it's just bangers and like, fuck, I
don't know, Like after hearing this and then thinking about
White Chapel like, who is gonna like be top?

Speaker 6 (24:19):
I don't know, man, That Hard was pretty fucking out there.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
I don't know. But this album, this album is I
mean this song, I mean.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Yeah, it's a good contender for sure, for sure.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
I'm just saying, man, I know, for our end of
the year, I do want to do like best albums
of the year and best song of the year, best song.
I want to play a song after this, just not
even just like a minute, right, because I think the
best song written of twenty twenty five, the best metal song, okay,
is not even from a band. It's not even from

(24:51):
a band, from a soundtrack.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
From a soundtrack, let me guess Sinners.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
No, no, no, I mean Sinners pre which has been
all I've been listening to for like a month now,
But no nut Sinners, Sinners. Sinners has in my opinion,
the best song of the year. Just song. But I'm
talking about best metal song of the year, and it
is from a soundtrack Doom, and it's not from Sinners.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
The Doom game.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Really really, I haven't even heard.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
You guys want to hear it, but I'll play it
after we talk about the song about Oblivion by Lorna
Shore and then well, I'll show you guys that real quick.
That's for the TikTok. That's what the TikTok because Doom
the Dark Ages is hopping on TikTok. I'm the TikTok guy, right,
I'm thirty six years I'll hop it on TikTok. Tik talk.
Rudy thoughts on oblivion. His fucking voice, dude, like he

(25:39):
sounds like five different demons. It's it's crazy beautiful. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (25:44):
And the drummer, I don't know how he does it, man,
Like that guy can go for fucking days, dude, drumming
full like, ok it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
I don't know, man, It's okay, It's it's like what
the drummer does with his legs is what Boji does
with his right hand.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Yeah, I think.

Speaker 7 (26:02):
I mean, they don't call them the heavy they don't
call them the heavy wank Champion of the world for nothing.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Right, We're gonna get him a belt, all right, so
real quick, just for our listeners, Lorna Shore not only
dropped this song, they announced a new album, very highly
anticipated record along with the tour coming up. So and
I know, Julian you said they're coming to Saint Louis,
so you're definitely gonna be there. So first I want
to mention the album. Uh, the album is called Funk.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
Where is it?

Speaker 1 (26:32):
I have it all right, go ahead.

Speaker 7 (26:34):
Lorna Show's new album is called I Feel the Ever
Black Festering within Me.

Speaker 9 (26:40):
Such a bad dude.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
It's so good.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
That's already promising.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
It is September twelfth, Okay, so I'm probably gonna bite
it for my son because we have bybe Corey is
finally becoming a metal head. Oh, I'm not sure he's
listening to. He's listening to not not Lorna Shore yet,
although I did show him to the hell Fire and
he loved it. We played it like three times in
the car because it's like fifteen minutes away from my
son's school, so we were only able to play like

(27:06):
three times. He's been listening to the Slaughter to Prevail.
He's a big Alex Treble fan, yes, and uh, he
likes popa roach so low light, a little light, new metal,
you know what a jump and what was the other one?
And the New Doom soundtrack is what we've been playing
the healthy and he grew up on Metallica, so he
has like his Metallica Master Puppet CD that he bought

(27:27):
at Walmart. He's so happy and all that us sick.
I bought him a couple of Metallica shirts. It's all
he's been weir and he's been today. He worred to
fire the town shirt to school, the green one. So
got us.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
We got a little metal head coming up.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
He's gonna be thirteen and September thirteen, Bajie Corey's gonna
be thirteen. That's crazy. I gotta start like cleaning his
socks soon because he's got a cell phone.

Speaker 18 (27:52):
God damn.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Anyway, So September twelfth is when I feel the ever
Black Fest ring within Me come out. The tour was
also announced as well. Now get this Lorna Shore Okay,
so this is from their Instagram. Lorna Show returns in
twenty twenty five with a huge North American tour featuring
you ready for this? Yeah, this fucking package is insane,
by the way. Yeah, four bands straight, just no fucking around,

(28:17):
just four bands. The Black Doll, You Murder okay, nice,
Shadow of Intent okay, and Peeling Flesh opening the show.
That is an amazing package because like it's like you
get the Death Course, stuff with like peeling flesh and
a shadow of intent. But then you get the black
doll you murder, dude, motherfucker dude. I've never seen him now,

(28:40):
but I know like Brandon, Brandon are dumber for defeather turns.
He loves Black Dolume Murder. You like Black Dolly Murder too, right?

Speaker 2 (28:45):
I like a couple of stuff you guys showed me,
but I've never really pursued them on the show.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
How about you? Or do you like Black dolm a
couple of times?

Speaker 19 (28:52):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Okay, cool?

Speaker 2 (28:52):
The show?

Speaker 6 (28:53):
Yeah, it was sweet and fucking sick.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
Dude. So they're coming to San Diego? Are we gonna go?
Are we going? What venue? So they're playing at Soma
on October thirteenth, so right in time for Halloween. This
fucking tour package. I think we should make a metaology trip,
our first met our first metaology concerts.

Speaker 6 (29:16):
That a couple of times is actually doing.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
We got to commit to this because because Julian's going
to Saint Louis, so we got to commit to this.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
We got to commit.

Speaker 5 (29:23):
I commit too much. Looking look at me, look.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
At him, look at him?

Speaker 10 (29:27):
At me?

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Right right October Oh, billy. Yeah, is it during the
week weekend? I don't know what thirteenth? What day is that? Monday?
So fucking care sick day off? It's like in eight months, dude,

(29:52):
I know we're going, We're going, We're going. Okay, are
we all going, We're gonna shake on it? Are we going?
Are we going?

Speaker 2 (29:57):
We're gonna pay for me?

Speaker 6 (30:00):
No, I'm not paying you, Just it, dude.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
We're.

Speaker 17 (30:09):
All right?

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Yeah, all right, y'all, y'all can suck tag. All right?
So metaology approves of oblivion, right, Yeah, you know, it's
a little behind the scenes for to find the terrans.
I've been working on some new demos, and the demo
that I finished about two months ago that I'm super
excited about bringing in is called Oblivion. There's a blast
be one too.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Is that one.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
Doesn't like very much poser So anyway, so I'm like, motherfuckers,
these guys beat me to him. Uh anyways, So Metals
of the new Lorna Shore, it's sick as fuck and
highly anticipated. On our end, we're definitely gonna review that
album because its gonna be sick album and we're most
likely going to go the shot absolutely uh so real
quick before we get into Mayhem. I have to. I

(30:56):
have to highlight. I have to because it just came
out this week, the highly anticipated metal game. I didn't
call it death metal because it's fucking ripping Doom the
Dark Ages. I'm a big Doom fan. I love Doom.
I played the first Doom, played Doom Eternal religiously, and
I just bought Doom the Dark Ages today. I picked
up pre order today. I'm super stoked. I've listened to

(31:18):
the fucking soundtrack all week. Damn, there's a song on
the soundtrack that I want to highlight. It's one of
the like what you would call a single, but it's
not like a single. It's like there's a lot of
content it made about it. I'm gonna play just about
a minute, minute and a half of it, and I
want to get your guys thoughts. Yes, Paji, Yeah, Okay,

(31:39):
we're good. We get a lot of technical difficulties with you.
You're the worst producer.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
In his iver said the best.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Okay, I'm just here.

Speaker 9 (31:47):
What did you do?

Speaker 1 (31:48):
We are recording Julian right, Yes, they're never gonna be
yes double track?

Speaker 5 (31:54):
Are you're you're not recording it on the desktop?

Speaker 6 (31:56):
Are you No, I was gonna say that. We didn't
no test or nothing. We just went in raw. I hope,
I hope, God, I hope.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
We're good all right. If she's confident, we're confident.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
And if not, that's a bad idea.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
If not, you're buying us all dinner.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
If you fuck this up, we're buying us all burritos.
And we're good. And you're gonna Venmo Julian money for
a burrito, by the way, so he get Oh.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
If you fuck this up again, you owe me. Motherfucker.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
We are good. That's right. We're all being recorded. We're good,
and we backed Julian by the way, Yeah, you owe
the motherfucker.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
You know what, I'm gonna ups you a burrito from
over here, because poor Julian has to eat a burrito
over there.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
From saying Louis, you're gonna get a Brita from San Diego,
bro real Mexican is right, that's right.

Speaker 5 (32:40):
I need I need to come to San Diego.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
Ship Sandy was beautiful, Okay, So I'm gonna play the
lead song, or the one that's been a lot of
content has been made on it from the New Doom
The Dark Ages soundtrack. This is not from Mick Gordon.
This is from Finishing Moves, Inc. They do a lot
of other video games soundtracks to Ship, And what I
like about this uh soundtrack is unlike the previous two

(33:04):
Doom soundtracks, there is not a lot of gent This
is more like traditional metal, so which is pretty cool
because it's a prequel. So I think they went like
more like an old school approach kind of thing, but
it still sounds new, like it's it's not like a
eighties throwback like the Ship, like the sh Ghost Yeah,
like ghosts, seventies throwback. We're talking about like like Power Rangers. No, no, no,

(33:27):
you said eighties. It's all right, here we go. This
one is called Infernal Chasm. Although Julian's got the Doom soundtrack,
God damn Julian, that's sick. Dude's got a sick vinyl collection.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
I've never played Doom, but I stand Nick Gordon. I
stand Nick Gordon.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Dude, Dude Garden got fucked and he like past.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
But we're not talking about we got to do anymore. Yeah,
we got to do a whole Doom mepiso. I think
they'd be pretty sick. So this one is called Infernal
Chasm off the New Dooms the Dark Ages soundtrack from
Finishing Move. Yes, it's long intro, Rudy and the.

Speaker 6 (34:05):
Lorna short intro wasn't even that long, dude.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
I think this one used a live orchestra too. Scary Ship,
He's like Diablo Ship, let me get that. I love
how you look.

Speaker 5 (34:17):
I just skip forward to the heavy part.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
For effect, what about you? There we go, There we go.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
We're gonna get some effects, live effects. Why not fuck
pro tools?

Speaker 6 (34:39):
More effects, effects, special effects.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
This is when Cthula comes out. Cuthulu is in the game,
by the way. Really yeah, all right, here we go.
You ready, you.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
Don't worry.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
The metal's coming. He's telling the stories coming.

Speaker 6 (35:14):
It's like some Cradle feel shit.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
Yeah you guys ready, you guys, ready to go.

Speaker 17 (35:19):
I'm ready.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
The best metal song of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
In my opinion.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Okay, I think we're reason gonna.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
Love this show.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Alright, oh damn.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
Oh, I'm back to you people.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
This wait, alright, I'm a batic accident.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
Yeah, the Murphy Deem is this? Are you ready?

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Alex fucking Raad?

Speaker 15 (36:21):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
By like bloggers, fucking mean, dude. I gotta let it
go on just a little bit more, just a little bit,

(36:49):
just two more parts and then I'll stop reel. You're
gonna die. I'm afraid the Doomslayer will come out, and
I don't want that, but I do want that. We
want that.

Speaker 20 (37:10):
Oh, look at a smile on Roy's face. Yeah, how come, mom,
this is where Metallica comes out.

Speaker 18 (37:28):
Okay, there you might get child about him.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Ah, the strings in the background. All right, we're done, dude.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
I imagine like Contra and like Doom, Like.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
The song has been on loop all day for me.
You're playing the game tonight as soon as you get home. No,
I got played in the morning. Yeah, Jenna and I
have to talk about Arizona because she's going to Arizona
with us. Okay, Okay, so I'm not and then you know,
I gotta do stuff. But did you already download it
to your system? Yeah, it's already download Okay, So I
get a played in the morning. I'm excited. Hell yeah,
a little wake up. So thoughts on Infernal Chasm Off

(38:21):
the Dune to the Dark Age you soundtrack? That was ship?
That was a shit, Julian, What did you think Delian's
get us some thumbs up.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
It was good.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
What the fuck?

Speaker 5 (38:37):
I prefer mc gordon Moore.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
Mc Gordon's been out for almost ten years, bro, this
song was about for twenty four hours. You give you,
I know, give it a minute, give it a minute,
just give it, give it a week, just fuck around
with a little bit.

Speaker 5 (38:49):
Yeah, I've given it enough time. I've stopped paying attention
to what the studio has been doing because they fucked
over Mick Gordon.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Well, you know, he should have a better actually, he
should have a better manager. I'm just saying. I'm just
say but I'll talk ab ship by limit Gordon. I'm
just playing. I don't fu I know what happened, but
you know, no one's in the room. Infernal chat.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
I think this is definitely something to keep your eye on.
No I I can't wait to hear more of it
because I love you know. I don't know what the
track is called.

Speaker 5 (39:22):
But.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
Whatever is it?

Speaker 1 (39:26):
When the shadows lengthened? Hey, they use that ship at
a Halloween horrorites? Right they use ripping or no, they
use a BfV division division. Yeah, all right, but we're
talking about this soundtrack. We can talk about that those
soundtracks later.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
This goes hard.

Speaker 5 (39:45):
They just had a lot of pauses.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Well, it's a video game soundtrack, but the previous one.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
Just went in it, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
I like the dynamics. I like the dynamics.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
It's really good.

Speaker 6 (39:57):
I can't wait to play the game, dude, because the
music it's gonna go perfectly.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
I think this is the song when when you get
in a mech suit and fight Kuulu. I think this
is the song anyways. All right, guys, so that was
infernal chasm from finishing moving off the doom of the
Dark Age of soundtrack. Now enough time has passed. I
think we spent a lot of time. We're gonna go ahead,
We're gonna get into this episode. And in fact, real quick,
I have to play the voice clip because we got

(40:23):
our first uh listener requests be a voice clip on Instagram.
All right, So this is from our good buddy Jake Beam,
who is also a big supporter of our band Defy
the Terrans and big supporter of Metology. I don't think
he misses an episode. He's always messing. Hey, dude, the

(40:44):
fucking episode was sick or I I gotta kick out
of this one. Uh So this one is from Jake Bem.
I'm playing the voice clip right now.

Speaker 21 (40:56):
Hey, Metology, I have request. I will really like for
you guys to cover the first years of Mayhem, from
the Death Crush EP to day, Mysterious Sataness, and maybe
some of the late nineties stuff if you feel like it.
I'm curious how you all would feel about some of

(41:19):
those early records. Those are pretty much cornerstones of the
Norwegian black metal scene and even to this day there's
a lot of bands. You look at those records and
that's still influential to this day. So if you could
do that, I would really love to hear your guys
thoughts about it.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
All right, what's.

Speaker 4 (41:44):
So, Jake?

Speaker 1 (41:45):
We are abiding by your request because in the by
the Terrans we abide by all requests.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Yeah, absolutely absolutely, we're fucking uh I mean where Britos?

Speaker 1 (41:56):
Yeah? You know what when I was in the band
at where where were those? What was our fucking pizza? Okay, okay,
one continue.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
Jake has also helped me put together a playlist. Honestly,
I barely changed anything from his. You know, maybe I
took out a song from like, you know, the first
first album that's on there, but yeah, so big thanks
to Jake for that, because I would have been lost.

Speaker 1 (42:27):
Now I have been found, Now you've been found. So
right now we're gonna I'm lost. Right now, we are
going to give an introduction to the band off of
the band's Wikipedia page to give our a listener's context.
Let's see the artists we were talking about. Mayhem is
a Norwegian black metal band formed in Oslo in nineteen
eighty four. They were one of the pioneers of the

(42:47):
Norwegian black metal scene, and their music was profoundly influenced
the black metal genre. Mayhem's early career was marked by
several controversies, including their notorious live performances, the nineteen ninety
one suicide of vocalists per ingvey Olin, who's also named
Dead in the band, and the nineteen ninety three murder

(43:07):
of guitarist Uronymous by former bassist Varg the Curness of Bursam.

Speaker 6 (43:13):
Oh boy.

Speaker 1 (43:14):
So now we're gonna get to just quick introductions to
the band. I have to just say this up top,
is that we have kind of like talked about, like
I think it's been asked before a couple of times
about us talking about Mayhem. Yeah, absolutely, I have refused
every single time because I don't want to glorify murderers.
I don't want to glorify racists, all of which are

(43:37):
barbaric kurners. Uh, and he's a piece of shit. So
I did. I never really wanted to do that, and
then I just want to get that out of the
way like this. This is like two three years uh
coming definitely. Yeah. So anyway, so I'm just saying that
I don't support anything any of the controversies in regards
to this band. I don't support none of this ship.

(43:58):
We're just basically just talking about the music.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
Music a great all right.

Speaker 1 (44:03):
So for you guys, how were you introduced to Mayhem?
We're gonna start with our guest, heyy metal joker Julian.

Speaker 7 (44:12):
I was introduced to Mayhem pretty early on in my
I guess early stages of being a metal head. I
was just watching like a bunch of different metal YouTube channels,
and I came upon a Metal Injection series talking about
the top ten shocking moments in metal history. Like they
talk about a bunch of different stuff like Vince Neil's
car crash and uh what Tim Lambisas did. But then

(44:35):
they did an episode based on Mayhem and just that
entire thing. Like, oh, like, they showed the images of
you know, the album cover, They showed images of the
church burnings. They showed varg In basically in the courtroom
where he gave that weird smile to the camera.

Speaker 5 (44:52):
You guys seen that photos. Yeah, that's how I found
out about them.

Speaker 7 (44:57):
And then a few years later I forgot about the
completely after that, and then a few years ago I
can't remember who made it, but then they made a
movie called Lords of Chaos.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
Yeah, that was with Lacaulay Culkin's little brother.

Speaker 5 (45:10):
Yeah in that. Yeah, Rory, I think it's Rory.

Speaker 14 (45:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (45:15):
I I could be completely wrong, could be completely Rory, Okay,
but yeah, that's kind of just how I found out
more about the story.

Speaker 5 (45:23):
I watched the film.

Speaker 18 (45:25):
It was shit.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
It was.

Speaker 7 (45:28):
It was one of the worst, one of the worst
movies I think I've ever seen. It was fucking terrible.
It's basically just them making an excuse to just make
fun of black metal, which, like people make fun of
black metal already, And like, I don't really blame a
lot of people because I'm not the biggest I'm not
a big black metal fan.

Speaker 5 (45:49):
Like I when it comes to black metal.

Speaker 7 (45:50):
I like black metal where it's added with other stuff,
like I love like Death Heaven.

Speaker 4 (45:55):
I like what they do.

Speaker 7 (45:56):
I like what zeal And Arder do adding black metal
to blues, have an ad black metal to shoegaze, like
I don't just like straight up black metal, which I
think is ironic considering how I look exactly. But but yeah,
Lord's of Chaos just really made me feel like like
this is really what it was like. And then hearing
like necro Butcher, right, who I think is who's still

(46:19):
one of the only like remembers still alive?

Speaker 5 (46:23):
He said, like most of that film wasn't even true. Yeah,
so that's how I found out about Mayhem fun.

Speaker 9 (46:33):
Uh to go with?

Speaker 1 (46:38):
How was I introduced? Honestly? I just heard of them
through the grapevine, like.

Speaker 5 (46:45):
What creates creates Clearwater Revival.

Speaker 1 (46:51):
Friends, like what friend?

Speaker 4 (46:53):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
We didn't know anybody in high school in the black
metal I think Rudy was the only one I.

Speaker 9 (46:58):
Know I heard.

Speaker 1 (46:58):
I know, I heard of them. I mean I never
checked him out. I just heard of them. Okay, So
but I mean, well ship that was about it, Like
I honestly, like I didn't really care much about him. Okay,
it's all right, all right, Rudy.

Speaker 8 (47:18):
Mine was back in high school, and I mean, I know,
I didn't even know that it was a Ferguson again,
and you don't like him, but that's Ferguson.

Speaker 1 (47:32):
You're not allowed to bring his name anymore.

Speaker 4 (47:34):
That dude.

Speaker 6 (47:36):
I don't even know what happened. I don't even know,
you know, but he showed me them.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
He said I was a piece of ship for liking
limb Biscuit. He looked me there like the biscuit, Like, yeah,
a bunch of people told you that, but he told
me because I listened to Limb Biscuit. That's that's the thing.
It's funny because if you think of Ferguson him saying that,
I think that's ridiculous because I don't think he meant it.
Like it's crazy that you don't think that because I

(48:02):
went I was close with Figures in middle school, and yeah,
I got called a piece of ship. But anyways, okay,
so go ahead, so you yeah, he showed me the
album that motherfucker. Yeah, yeah, pretty much.

Speaker 21 (48:13):
That.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
That was back in high school. But I never really
got into him, you know, the I guess you could
say the recordings of it was like not great. Yeah, okay,
those black metal bands.

Speaker 7 (48:25):
Are right well, but when you're recording in a cave
in the middle of nowhere, like you're not going to
get great sound if the artist, if the art recording
on an electric toothbrush.

Speaker 1 (48:37):
If that's how the artist wants it to be, right, Yeah,
I mean, for sure, as much as we don't like it,
like they love it, like yeah it was, it's definitely
like a staple and like, you know, like a a
template for sure. You know, it's a really dumb staple.
I mean for a microphone, it's.

Speaker 6 (48:55):
Like it's authenticity of it.

Speaker 1 (48:56):
You know, early years they're putting a microphone in middle
of the room playing.

Speaker 7 (49:00):
It's definitely a better oh yeah, no, yeah, and the
and the singers like two feet away from the fucking mike.

Speaker 5 (49:08):
You could barely hear what he's saying.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
It's just like, oh shuck, just slip your camera. You'll
never see dad, Hey recur s, how do you feel
you'll never see all? Right? Handro thoughts on our introduction

(49:33):
to Mayhem not thoughts. I don't care about your thoughts
on Maam damn, I want to I want to hear
the how you were introduced to Mayham though I was
introduced when I was at the second break. I was
in the second grade.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
My father damn, well you know, Dave, Yeah, my word
of mouth, you know, and uh, I think it was
probably Brandon who probably told me about that, or like
Brandon mc kenny or something, but I've never really heard them.
Even then, it was just oh, do you know the
fuck you wore the piece of the schools and dude,

(50:06):
blah blah bah, and I was like, whoa, really, you
know what I mean? And that I kept it like
that for a long time until maybe in the last
four years. So I'm not really like a big black
metal fan. But it's not like in my top four
you know what I mean, but top four, so it's
relatively new for me. I mean, that's the main reason

(50:27):
why I really reached out to like Jake for example,
like for this putting together a list of songs, because like, dude,
I don't I'm not you know, we're not journalists, you
know what I mean? Like you know it, like I
know not much about this band, so yeah, I'm just
here to to learn about it and not just kidding.
I like black metal.

Speaker 1 (50:46):
It's cool, cool, Okay. So I have a confession to
make right here at this moment, all right here, you.

Speaker 5 (50:56):
Cheat on another girl with two other girls and.

Speaker 4 (51:00):
Julian.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
If I cheated on my wife, my dick would be
right here in the middle of the goddem room.

Speaker 5 (51:06):
You stalked another girl because he took out on a
different day.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
A different day, and Nickelback Three Days Grace was Nickelback.

Speaker 7 (51:17):
The stocking was the stocking was Nickelback, and in three
Days Grace was the cheating.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
I wouldn't call it stalking.

Speaker 17 (51:24):
You.

Speaker 5 (51:25):
You followed them to their Oh my god, them are
on the corner.

Speaker 7 (51:28):
No one's gonna have any idea what the fuck this
is even about, because we're not releasing the episode.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
Three Days Grace was like that and begins, and Nickelback
was the Dark Knight, and we're right now we're filming
The Dark Knight.

Speaker 1 (51:40):
Right So I have a problem. I have a confession.
How strong is that pen? Dude? Either either that pen
is strong as fuck or my alcoo my alcohol tolerance
has fucking dipped, because I feel fucking lit right now.
I'm like, I felt it like in the middle of

(52:00):
you talking like I'm like, I'm like sitting down, so
I'm trying to make myself like get the woozyum like,
oh dude, am I really drunk or cross faded? All right?

Speaker 5 (52:11):
So, uh, I mean that that's not the ordinary for you.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
No, it's not. So my introduction Now you're talking over man,
I'm like, that's true.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
Let's not do that.

Speaker 1 (52:20):
You're you're forgiving. You're forgiving Billy my dad. So so
my introduction to Mayhem, I used to We did a
lot of Revolver magazine in high school and I've read
the there's an article about the church burnings and like
black metal and how tightened with the history and a lot,
and I was really fascinated by that. And uh so

(52:42):
I knew of Mayhem because they were one of the
bands I heard about it there Saw the Metal a
Headbanger's Journey documented that came out like in the late
two thousands where they were interviewed and they did a
whole black metal episode on them, and uh yeah. And
then the first time I heard of them, we were
at a party at our good friend I'm not gonna
se a name. We're at a good friend's house and

(53:03):
she was getting a guy, which who was out of
character for her to date. By the way, he's a
black metal dude, and she's not in a black metal dude.
She's in like dudes to play baseball, like that's that's
the thing. So or like baseball. So she So we're
at this party party ends, I, me and Gino, my brother.
We used to just stay over at Killer's, you know,
we just sleep over after a party. So we're just

(53:23):
kind of hanging out with I said Kayla. Okay, I
won't I won't say her last name, but anyway, up.
Uh see, dude, fuck that the truth. Don't ask me
no questions. Uh So, anyways, stop kicking the fucking camera.
See this episode is following a broad to cut the

(53:46):
fucking cameras. Julian's audio wasn't recording the fucking cameras getting kicked.
Everything she host is drunk.

Speaker 2 (53:54):
I'll call over the goddamn over the place.

Speaker 1 (53:57):
So anyway, so we're at this we're at the same
with Kayla. After the party, we're all hanging out in
the living room and this dude went on her desktop computer.
I was like, hey, man, you like metal, let me
show you something. And he starts showing me like live
videos of Mayhem, and he was like, oh, what are
you thinking. I'm like, hmm, it's good. It's not bad,
it's not bad. But he freaked me out. So I

(54:17):
was like just trying to be like, yeah, it's cool, man.
And then he's like, I'll burn you like five discs
of like Mayhem songs and unreleased songs and boot legs.
I'm like, yeah, dude, sweet. He took off and I
told Kyla, don't you ever let him back into this
fucking house ever again. And it wasn't too much longer
after that when they broke up, and then he just
went did his thing anyways. So yeah, that was that

(54:40):
was my main introduction to Mayhem. That that's how that
went down.

Speaker 5 (54:44):
I'm gonna burn you some may I'm gonna burn you
some Mayhem. Those those two words do.

Speaker 1 (54:49):
Not go well.

Speaker 4 (54:50):
May Have you heard of this guy named varg You
like Kanye?

Speaker 7 (54:56):
Right?

Speaker 15 (55:00):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (55:00):
No, I love they both belong.

Speaker 1 (55:06):
We gotta check out my boy Kanye.

Speaker 4 (55:07):
Okay, okay, we gotta get to this.

Speaker 1 (55:09):
Yes, So okay, hold on, So you made a playlist
with Jake right, like, you created a playlist? Don't give
me that.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
Mostly mostly it's mostly Jake. Don't want to take all the.

Speaker 1 (55:21):
Okay, mostly Jake. But you have information about this playlist? No,
I have no fucking idea, all right, So we're just
going to blind, all right.

Speaker 10 (55:29):
Cool.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Basically, all you have to know is that the last
track on here is the actual recording, but everything else
is like studio album, so it's a different vocalist. I
think it's Attila like in the beginning. I don't know
if it changes after.

Speaker 5 (55:42):
That, Bronz Franz from Matilla.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
No, like, that's that's what the dude's called.

Speaker 1 (55:51):
All right, cool, So we're gonna get to the playlist.

Speaker 2 (55:54):
So this first song Attila Sikhar from the Hungarian band Tormentor.

Speaker 5 (56:01):
That makes a lot of sense, all right.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
So this is from the album Death Crush from nineteen
ninety three. This song is called death Crush. Wonder if
it's about flowers? I think so?

Speaker 9 (56:13):
God fucking slaps, Oh.

Speaker 14 (56:49):
God, hell yeah?

Speaker 5 (56:54):
Well fuck you dying?

Speaker 15 (56:56):
Do you hear of this ship?

Speaker 1 (57:03):
That Mike is two feet away from that? But oh
so good of the lyrics on here. It's so bad.
It's it's good. It's not good, all right. So the lyrics,
the lyrics, the lyrics, Okay, lyrics, death crush, demonic laughter,

(57:23):
your cremation, Your lungs gasp for air but are filled
with blood. A sudden crack as I crushed your skull.
The remains of your life flashes by, a life that
soon won't be smiling. With axe in my hand, Evil's
rotten hand, you'll see I come forward. Death crush. I'll

(57:46):
send you to your maker. I'll send you to your death,
death nicely crucified. Uh, the barbecue has just begun. Death crush,
death crush, death crush, crush, crush, death crush, death crush.
Good evening, Good evening, Italy. No you don't believe me, dude,
fucking death like thirty times. Uh, the end, Good evening, Italy.

(58:12):
Is anybody out there believing God? Well, let me tell
you that's literally that. That's all there is. So fucking
fantastic fucking song.

Speaker 4 (58:23):
This was amazing.

Speaker 1 (58:24):
This is like what are the kids saying nowadays? It fucks, fucks,
it fucks, it slaps and it focks. It's a domestic abuser. Okay,
this song fucking sucks. This is god awful. What the
fuck did you agree to? H This is why I
choose them biscuits. This is why I choose this right here.

Speaker 2 (58:46):
Feel about these. I was like, I don't know, Tony
and Bud, you're gonna like it, but.

Speaker 1 (58:52):
I mean, its so bad that it's good. There you go,
you're fired. It's like it's so bad. But I'm just
I feel like you're just saying that to get a
reaction out of me. But you're not gonna get it.
I'm not gonna get it. I legit think, shut the
fuck up, very.

Speaker 22 (59:11):
But it's just so bad. It's like Fred Durst, shut
the funk up your Okay, what do you what do
you mean matter you ask my opinion?

Speaker 4 (59:25):
I'm asking.

Speaker 1 (59:25):
I'm not saying it matters or not. But I mean,
I just think it's so bad. It's good. It's so bad.
You just got fired for saying that.

Speaker 4 (59:33):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (59:34):
I don't see what. You just sit there and be quiet.
You like, Alex, do you just hate on black metal
just because it's the thing to do? Apparently fucking not
because I like record this. It's more like, you know,
you just not to like something because.

Speaker 8 (59:48):
Comparing Bohema to this, it's just the production. It's just
fucking light years away, dude. This is and that's probably
why you're so turned off by, which I totally understand.
And also the vocals, his vocals, I mean the lyrics.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
The lyrics. Of course, he's not letting a fucking it's
fucking black metal. He says, I'm making a barbecue.

Speaker 17 (01:00:07):
You.

Speaker 6 (01:00:08):
Honestly, I can't even understand having a barbecue.

Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
He doesn't say anything bad ass. He just says the
barbecue has just begun.

Speaker 5 (01:00:16):
He doesn't say anything.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
Is English even his fucking first language. It should be,
I don't think it is. Okay, okay, so thinking this
is his first language. Okay, So so you liked it,
I like you, son of a bitch. All right, now
I'm the fucking crazy one in the room, right, I
mean now, and then Julian too. Look at Julian. You
fucking look how disappointed he is.

Speaker 5 (01:00:39):
I'm not disappointed. I was laughing my ass off at
how bad it was.

Speaker 4 (01:00:43):
Rudy.

Speaker 8 (01:00:44):
I do like the guitar and the drums and this ship.
I do like that, but three notes, but it's fucking
it's it's dude. It's black metal, dude. I like the
fast paced, fucking you know, it's chaotic. Dude's chaotic, and
it sounds the way it sounds, because that is all
it really is, dude, that's it's you know, but his vocals,

(01:01:05):
I will say, his vocals is what turns. His vocals
is probably what kept me away from the band, to
be completely honest, the vocals.

Speaker 7 (01:01:12):
Yes, it's the vocals that that made you not interested
and all the church burn eggs and the murders.

Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
Like I thought, we're saying, we're just talking about the music. Okay, Yeah,
I'm talking about the music. I like.

Speaker 8 (01:01:30):
I like the way the guitar and drums sound that ship.
I like the fucking actual like the recording. I mean
it adds a taste to it, dude, like it's I
don't know, it's like almost like saying like it's vintage
or something.

Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
I don't know. It's wrong, you know, is wrong. I
respect your opinion, no matter. I'm not saying it's great.
I'm not saying it's great. I never so it's great,
But you know what, it's okay, I like my other dude,
oh see it, but I know it's all about it.
Have you said totally in Spanish? Some toilet it's mireda,

(01:02:07):
it's mired kara. It's all right, Uh, it's okay, Alex.
Look dude, look listen before the ship the fuck up.
We do this my way or it's the highway. Listen, Alex, listen.

(01:02:32):
I know that you're the resident gatekeeper. I know that
you're the resident leaders. Have all things metal in metology.
That's the metology lower listen man. I know you have
an open mind when it comes to some metal and
uh more more like specific genres of metal and including
black metal. Yes, please please tell me that, unlike these

(01:02:54):
two savages over here, these two peasants, that you have taste. Okay,
I want you please please tell me what is your
opinion on death crush?

Speaker 15 (01:03:06):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
I like this ship that's coming up more than this.

Speaker 4 (01:03:11):
I'm also going to tell you this.

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Yeah. Sorry. You remember three hundred when leon I has
told them the messenger before it kicks him into oblivion.

Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
Every man is.

Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
Accountable for any Any man is accountable for his own words,
including the words of a king's messenger. I want you
to be very aware of that, because I'm taking notes
right now.

Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
I don't know the context, but I don't know. I
thought you were going to say this. I thought that's
what he said.

Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
I'm gonna start looking for replacements, and I would rather
you not be on that list, so I'll be on
my best. So okay, so let me hear you. What
are you? What are your thoughts of Death Crush?

Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
I think that I agree with Rudy where it's like
it's raw, like the vocals are probably like me off
to the bad in general, you know, so I definitely
agree with that. But yeah, just the music and the
raw energy, like it's it's fucking I don't know, it's
fucking gets my blood pumping. But I definitely think, you know,

(01:04:14):
the next couple of songs are definitely like better, I think.
So that's what I have to say about the song.

Speaker 1 (01:04:22):
Get up. No, you know what you stay, you stay,
you stay for your last shift.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
I just want to get my page.

Speaker 1 (01:04:30):
Juliane, if you want to move to San Diego, you
want you want a job that doesn't pay.

Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
You gotta wear the face pant face paint every time.

Speaker 1 (01:04:37):
Let me know. If you want to move out to
San Diego, all you could stay with Baji.

Speaker 5 (01:04:42):
I'm good, dude.

Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
That was that was terrible. That was awful. What the
fuck is wrong with I'm the fucking crazy one in
this room. This is fucking insane. This is bullshit. This
is utter fucking bullshit. And Julian's not here in this room,
but his energy it's metal. This is he says metal
to me, as sleep Token is to you.

Speaker 6 (01:05:02):
I'm not, I'm not. I'm not getting this.

Speaker 1 (01:05:04):
Okay, this sounds this sounds like just loud punk music.
This is not selling metal at all, has no metal
hallmarks at all. There's no metal in here.

Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
I love that punk feeling.

Speaker 4 (01:05:14):
There's no metal.

Speaker 6 (01:05:15):
Its fucking you don't like punk.

Speaker 7 (01:05:17):
Music, Tony, Tony, I was with you for the first
bit and then you said it's just a loud punk
I a million percent disagree with that.

Speaker 5 (01:05:27):
A lot of old school punk sounds better than this.

Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
That's true, you know what. I take that back. No,
I mean it's like just the style is more punk
rock than it is metal. Y, you know I feel that.
All right, you know what, let's go. We're gonna continue,
and I'm gonna try to help withhold my ship talking.
But I feel you guys are gonna get a very
visceral reaction out of me as we go along. This plays,
So now you got to deal with drunk angry Tony. Yes,
I didn't give my thoughts yet, my Dulian, I'm sorry,

(01:05:52):
what are your thoughts on death crush?

Speaker 5 (01:05:53):
Is your fucking drunk Jesus.

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
So lean to share his thoughts? Yes, please while I drink.

Speaker 9 (01:06:05):
Again.

Speaker 7 (01:06:06):
So remember earlier when I made the joke about the
dude's microphone being two feet away yep, and the music
sounded like it was made in a cave in the
middle of nowhere, being recorded on an Nokia phone.

Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
I see where this is going.

Speaker 5 (01:06:22):
That's literally what that was. That's a thousand percent what
this was.

Speaker 7 (01:06:28):
And like, uh, I'm hoping that it's better. I mean,
I will say hot fucking take. I do prefer this
over Behemoth though.

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
Wow, I was getting ready to put the Behemoth one
back on, put Shadow lead on this motherfucker.

Speaker 5 (01:06:45):
No, I will walk off. But fuck Nergyle. I hate,
I hate that bad.

Speaker 1 (01:06:51):
I hate I hate, but look, we gotta move on.
Move on that fuck ner know Burle. Next song. I
hope I hope he's listening.

Speaker 5 (01:07:13):
I hope you higgle.

Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
Maybe help us Roddy RADI and post about me.

Speaker 6 (01:07:18):
I don't do it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
It will be the second motherfucker man exactly. Brandon will
be like Tony problem all right.

Speaker 7 (01:07:28):
So next I'm gonna wake up with a pentagram under
my bed, or with the goats, or with a goat's
head in my pillow alight, like that's just how it's
gonna be.

Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
So this next song is off of the album Destidio
Bom Satanas. It's not Spanish. You don't say you don't this.

Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
Motherfuckers don't know Spanish.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
Oh my fucking god, Oh god, dude.

Speaker 13 (01:08:08):
Stocking.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
Hey, this song is called doing this I'd fuck you.

Speaker 1 (01:08:13):
All right? Oh man, all right? Uh so yeah, this
is from the de mestidious lom Satanas. This from nineteen
ninty four. This is funeral fog.

Speaker 10 (01:08:26):
Fuck okay, black brown.

Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
A baby. Oh there's lyrics. I'm getting ready to just.

Speaker 17 (01:09:40):
Vibing it.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
They hard the bed of the pomb. Good vibe.

Speaker 4 (01:09:46):
It's been a minute twenty seconds. Bro, you're gonna three.

Speaker 5 (01:09:52):
You're gonna ship yourself when you hear these goddamn vocals.

Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
All you ready, let's fucking call it?

Speaker 16 (01:10:08):
Okay, I'm waiting, Tody, what are the lyrics?

Speaker 9 (01:10:35):
What the fuck was that?

Speaker 1 (01:10:39):
I got a bun a pick with you? Oh yeah,
oh that was so fair. You said it gets better.
The last song was better than this.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
One continues to get better from here.

Speaker 6 (01:10:48):
But yeah, what I like this one one of the
first one. Why see.

Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
After the fucking minute and a half intro, Yes, it
got good after the intro was way too long, repetitive
once you actually got to the good ship in the middle.
Oh yeah, all right, well, ex engineer, go on, I
fucking love that.

Speaker 4 (01:11:15):
It was so good.

Speaker 5 (01:11:16):
What's happening?

Speaker 1 (01:11:17):
It's so bad?

Speaker 18 (01:11:18):
It's so good.

Speaker 1 (01:11:21):
Did you let him smoke some of your ship? He has?
Because I'm high and I'm not getting none of this.
It's just you're stupid, That's why you like it. I'm
just playing you think like ever? Do you hate everything
about it?

Speaker 4 (01:11:41):
The guitars?

Speaker 1 (01:11:43):
Hold on, hold on? What are the lyrics that might
that might change it for you?

Speaker 5 (01:11:46):
That could I please? Can I please read the lyrics?

Speaker 1 (01:11:51):
You know what, Julian, you read the lyrics? I'm appalled.
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (01:11:59):
So starting from the top.

Speaker 7 (01:12:02):
Every time this year, this dark fog will appear from
the tombs, it comes to take one more life that
can be near in the middle of Transylvania. All natural
life has gone for a long time ago gone. It's
thin and so beautiful, but also so dark and mysterious

(01:12:24):
once again, the priest is missing.

Speaker 5 (01:12:27):
May God bless us all the fog is here again.
That will complete this funeral. That's just some of the
lyrics to this song.

Speaker 1 (01:12:40):
It's not Is it too late to pick another band?

Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
Mid No, fucking.

Speaker 10 (01:12:49):
No.

Speaker 7 (01:12:49):
If I committed, if I committed to this by wearing
the face paint, you're committing this to this too, Anthony.

Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
Yeah, we we can't have us talking about thirty second
with you looking like nerdle right now? Do not know?
It looks more like a well you look like a
class You look classic death metal right now, you look
classic course pain. You did a death.

Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
And yes, so yeah, I mean the the beginning for
sure is just like fucking vibing, you know what I mean.
I love that kind of energy. I love I know
you know. Yeah, the guitar plane is a little it's
a little rusty, but they're not really trying to They're
not really trying to like hone it in, you know
what I mean. Yeah, they're definitely definitely not trying to

(01:13:34):
hone it in. Now. The fucking guitar playing is but
you know, there is melody on there and then once
it starts, man, those vocals they took me by surprise.
But I imagine like this little like this creature like
coming out of the ground and then like saying what
he has to say, and he fucking burrows himself back

(01:13:55):
into the fucking.

Speaker 6 (01:13:56):
Goblin or some ship.

Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
Yeah, like gollum, like a goblin, Goluin, a goblin goblin.
I combined them both colin and goblin. But yes, yeah,
I don't know. I just like when like vocalists make
me think of some crazy ass fucking creature or like
demonic fucking thing. So yeah, it's unique.

Speaker 1 (01:14:17):
You're like listening to the vocals that make you think
of like a thick latina like th Ukrainian.

Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
I wouldn't mind that. Yeah, bring it on, all.

Speaker 1 (01:14:29):
Right, we're gonna go to the next You want my opinion, right, yes, no,
we don't see my opinion this whole time. Uh yeah,
so we don't need to see my opinion. Julian, what
are your thoughts on funeral fog?

Speaker 5 (01:14:42):
I don't know why, but.

Speaker 7 (01:14:46):
Like the moment the vocals started kicking in, I don't
know why, I heard for some reason, I heard Dave Mustaine.

Speaker 5 (01:14:52):
Every time this year this dark fog will appear. That's
literally all I heard other than that. It's it's literally
the exact same fucking thing. Yeah, it's all I got.
I got nothing else.

Speaker 2 (01:15:08):
That's fair.

Speaker 5 (01:15:09):
But it's making me laugh.

Speaker 1 (01:15:11):
I don't know why, because it's so bad. It's good,
that's what it's making Yeah, Juliane, I'm going to go on.
I'm gonna play Devil's advocate. That get it, Devil's advocate.
I play Devil's Advocate. I'm gonna find something in the
next song that I do enjoy. I'm gonna really focus
and hone in on something good next time. Do we

(01:15:32):
think we can do that? Do we think I like
the ending?

Speaker 4 (01:15:35):
You like the ending?

Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
You like? No, I'm saying that's gonna be your me.

Speaker 4 (01:15:38):
I like with the song.

Speaker 1 (01:15:39):
And this is also I'm gonna say that. I'm just
gonna keep saying the title because there's three songs for
the album. This one is Mysterious Dom Satatas ninety four.
This is Freezing Moon. There's no weather on the moon.

Speaker 10 (01:15:54):
It's freezing because it's okay Spanish, how long it's it's

(01:16:46):
good to think.

Speaker 16 (01:16:48):
I want to know.

Speaker 5 (01:16:53):
You guys say sleep choken out long after your drugs?

Speaker 4 (01:17:16):
The fuck was that?

Speaker 1 (01:17:20):
Fuck was that's about that high, right, some of a
bit like they let a cat rush through a fucking
drunk set.

Speaker 15 (01:17:32):
M uhh, this is the part I like, but it
gets to hear.

Speaker 1 (01:17:45):
Fuck, I've made fifty seconds in.

Speaker 6 (01:17:50):
Yeah, it sick forever. I'll admit, I'll give you that.
Just take your long.

Speaker 15 (01:18:04):
Drop.

Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
Why is he rolling his rs? He's speaking English?

Speaker 2 (01:18:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
God so good.

Speaker 1 (01:18:23):
I'm not even giving these songs the respect of the
fade out. So stop, just stop.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Drop the act. Guys.

Speaker 1 (01:18:32):
I feel like you're just I feel like you're just
being like sarcastic.

Speaker 7 (01:18:35):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:18:35):
I genuinely enjoyed that. I mean the lyric, the vocals
are bled, but I genuinely enjoyed.

Speaker 1 (01:18:43):
The music I tried. I think I found something good.
I enjoy that they enjoyed making that.

Speaker 2 (01:18:54):
I'm very happy for them.

Speaker 1 (01:18:56):
I'm very happy that they felt something. They they made
them happy.

Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
A Mexican mom story being content.

Speaker 1 (01:19:06):
It's definitely a flavor, dude, like a taste, a taste
the other way, you know, a very distinct taste, and
I don't think you like this ship taste. Flavor to taste,
it's a unique taste.

Speaker 5 (01:19:21):
It tastes a dead goat.

Speaker 1 (01:19:22):
It's it's fast. It takes two minutes for him to
start running.

Speaker 9 (01:19:25):
The whole time.

Speaker 1 (01:19:26):
Hey, but motherfucker, your sleep Toalken was taking three minutes
to start to what I'm saying. But it was interesting.

Speaker 5 (01:19:32):
That was.

Speaker 1 (01:19:34):
The same riff over. Yeah, like, I'll say that it
took way too long. But once you get to that,
fucking I'm fucking I love that sound, dude, And and
his vocals, dude, it is he likes his vocals. See.

Speaker 8 (01:19:52):
I like these vocals more than the very first one.
I don't like his wailings. I like more ship, you know,
I I I imagine like a goblin.

Speaker 6 (01:20:03):
I don't know why it sounds.

Speaker 4 (01:20:05):
He sounds like a goblin.

Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
He sounds something they can't do it, Uh, the goblin.

Speaker 1 (01:20:12):
That couldn't tell me why you like this song?

Speaker 2 (01:20:14):
All right? Because it fucks fucking fucks yeah, uh for sure.

Speaker 19 (01:20:24):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
The intro is very long. It's like a six bars,
I think. But after that though, it's like smooth sailing,
just fucking nice, nice, breezy, dark starry night on the
Frozen Moon, the Frozen Moon. I don't know, man, Like
I feel like i'd be reading some dark fantasy ship
while listening to this like in the background, like adult fantasy.

(01:20:48):
I'm not talking about like Spider Man, you know, like
whoever likes that, it's lame adult fantasy.

Speaker 1 (01:20:54):
Yeah, like so he's flying on your way of lengths
A yeah, just case, I love Okay, we all watch porn.

Nickel back, No, I'll call back you.

Speaker 5 (01:22:12):
As long as you don't animal I have become me,
then we'll be good.

Speaker 1 (01:22:18):
A little back and forth, A little back and forth,
a little yeah, all right, next work the next one. Now,
this one is the fucking jam right here. H. This
is also off the album The Mysterious Thumbs. I thought,

Speaker 18 (01:24:16):
Basically it sounded like Tony.

Speaker 1 (01:24:34):
I'll say this, dude, as soon as you turn the
music off, my tonight is like I do that. That's
after the music is. It's like the quality of it's
just like, yeah, you're hearing your your ear is processing
it as ship, but it's not connected to your brain.

Speaker 12 (01:24:53):
I like it.

Speaker 4 (01:24:54):
My ear is bleeding. Your ears are.

Speaker 2 (01:24:55):
Basically processing ship.

Speaker 1 (01:24:58):
What you're hearing is ship. Julian thoughts on Life Eternal,
Oh what your thoughts?

Speaker 9 (01:25:07):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:25:08):
I don't think I was just playing angry birds.

Speaker 1 (01:25:12):
Playing angry birds. There's no interest whatsoever.

Speaker 6 (01:25:16):

Moved it.

Speaker 9 (01:25:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:26:00):
But then I love the part of where like when
the vocals came in.

Speaker 3 (01:26:04):
I think it was like a little bit after his
vocals came in, like I shoot you not. He just
reminded me of like Tony voice.

Speaker 1 (01:26:13):
In high school. Continue It wasn't even it was just
like when he does that ship like that's what it
reminded me of. And I was like, Tony, Tony, give
me the front man of that band. Right, So you're
saying Tony sounds like.

Speaker 3 (01:26:33):
No, no, no, no no, I'm saying Tony when Tony,
when Tony's fucking around, his voice can't be the Mayhem voice.

Speaker 1 (01:26:42):
He said, who's the singer? Varg h I don't know.
This is death Death Death is a singer dead well.

Speaker 2 (01:26:55):
These are his performances, but it's a different singer playing
doing deaths of that stuff is at the very end
of this playlist.

Speaker 1 (01:27:03):
But just too, it was.

Speaker 2 (01:27:05):

Speaker 1 (01:27:06):
Got You, Got You, Got You one.

Speaker 2 (01:27:10):
Loud and clear, clear next sound?

Speaker 1 (01:27:14):

I just say, the same ship.

Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
He's excited.

Speaker 1 (01:27:21):
Dude, this, Tony, what's your opinion of it? This is utter,
this is terrible. So it's horse I'm gonna put you
like this. There is no value in this music. Yeah,

(01:27:42):
there's nothing. There's zero.

Speaker 2 (01:27:44):
You're hearing nothing, You're hearing ship.

Speaker 1 (01:27:48):
I'm I'm I'm really hating this episode right now.

Speaker 4 (01:27:52):
I really don't like it.

Speaker 1 (01:27:53):
It was on a big high lorna shore and the doom,
and then it's just.

Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
I mean, all right, look, this is Tony's first hated episode.

Speaker 1 (01:28:04):
I hadn't like the Skeleton which episode either.

Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
Damn that's an old school one too. That's all right.
Number two, this I can't.

Speaker 1 (01:28:12):
I'm blown away right now. Like I like music, so
the challenging That's what Unter says. Says, I like gimmicks,
I do like yeah, you like I don't know who
the fuck you are anymore? And Julian, I mean, I
figure Julian was gonna like.

Speaker 5 (01:28:30):
It, but what is wrong with you?

Speaker 19 (01:28:34):
You like this?

Speaker 5 (01:28:35):
I don't like the music. I don't like the music,
but having a good time.

Speaker 1 (01:28:38):
It doesn't grow.

Speaker 8 (01:28:41):
It's It's like I said, it's a specific formula. That's
all I expect. I don't expect anything complex. But I
come for what I know is going to be given,
is what I'm saying. Yeah, this guy is only going
to give you cut in the side of tackles.

Speaker 6 (01:28:55):
You can't order fucking.

Speaker 1 (01:29:00):
Calling him on.

Speaker 4 (01:29:02):
All right?

Speaker 1 (01:29:04):
I just hate this ship. I just hate this ship.
I don't like it.

Speaker 4 (01:29:08):
Jake, I'm sorry. Sorry.

Speaker 1 (01:29:11):
At least he well Jake knowsn't like it. But the
drums what about him? I like him? I like I
like a blast beat for five minutes or the last song.

Speaker 2 (01:29:20):
It's pretty chill.

Speaker 1 (01:29:22):
I like it, all right? You know what where we're
going to continue next? I gotta keep going?

Speaker 2 (01:29:28):
Was there almost there?

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
Are we? This is symbols of blood words from.

Speaker 5 (01:29:34):
The Blood Swords.

Speaker 1 (01:29:36):

ninety seven. Okay, okay, I had run.

Speaker 22 (01:30:00):
Oh well white side that you h no, I.

Speaker 1 (01:30:04):

Speaker 17 (01:30:08):
Your bread spermat a bugging Yeah, there's.

Speaker 1 (01:31:26):
It is so good God, that was read some books.
That was so freaking good. Do you want any lyrics?

Speaker 4 (01:31:38):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:31:38):
Please? All the stars in the north are dead now.
All the morals of wasted human debris walk with me
into the night. Do not remove the codwebs of war
clinging to your face. They will tell of pains unknown.
All the stars in the north are dead now, All
the morals of wasted human debris torn to p is

(01:32:00):
hand crafted delirium. What remains one of everything? More of everything? Tonto,
my geese infra say quanto so contra glory, suey condy
Taurus eras exit. Don't do that to me right now,

(01:32:28):
right now.

Speaker 2 (01:32:32):
That chronomicon imagine, he just like starts bleeding from his
I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:32:37):
Like it's so bad, like I keep saying this, but
it's so bad, it's good, Like I don't understand why
you're not in the bad anymore? Quick because I didn't
want to anymore, Like, fuck, this ship was good. It
was so bad. It's good.

Speaker 2 (01:32:54):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if this is
a different singer, Like I said, really too much we
search on that, but.

Speaker 1 (01:33:00):
He got a little bit better. I guess if it's
the same guy.

Speaker 2 (01:33:03):
I think the rest of the album is like all
over the place. Vocals are literally there's no there's there's
no Sometimes they're spoken words sometimes like it's very like whoa.

Speaker 1 (01:33:16):
Sometimes he just changes languages.

Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
Just changes languages and the middle starts speaking Spanish.

Speaker 1 (01:33:23):
God, Rudy, what do you think? Honestly, the vocals on
this one, I couldn't help but laugh, dude, is that
a good laugh or not? It's pretty funny. It sounds
funny in some parts like this is where it sounds funny.

Speaker 6 (01:33:46):
I mean, I like the instruments and everything, but the
vocals do it's like, bro.

Speaker 12 (01:33:52):
What.

Speaker 2 (01:34:00):
I'm with you on hundred percent? Like the music is cool,
Like I'm not really digging this vocal list.

Speaker 1 (01:34:06):
This, We're not this, We're not doing this is the one,
this is the one.

Speaker 2 (01:34:11):
But music's good.

Speaker 1 (01:34:12):
I mean, Julie, any.

Speaker 5 (01:34:19):
Interesting words, Tony, I'm so sorry.

Speaker 19 (01:34:26):
I liked it.

Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
I want you guys to know that you guys are
just pouring a fucking murderer right now. What you said
to judge the music my bad, dude. I'm sorry you guys.
You guys are supporting a member of the band right now.

Speaker 13 (01:34:46):
I'm sure.

Speaker 6 (01:34:46):
I'm sure God forgive him, dude.

Speaker 1 (01:34:48):
I'm sure God forgive him. I'm sure sure God forgives
him and allowed this music.

Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
God's very forgiving.

Speaker 5 (01:34:55):
I'm with I'm with Baji. It's now, it's now entering
the territory for me, at least, it's so bad it's good.

Speaker 14 (01:35:01):
I'm with you, Baji.

Speaker 5 (01:35:03):
I'm laughing my head.

Speaker 1 (01:35:05):
I understand that with movies it's good. Yeah, the room
like it's it's entertaining. I don't when when it comes
to music like bad is bad, like I just oh,
I just like it, all right, I like it. I
like it.

Speaker 2 (01:35:21):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (01:35:21):
This is the worst thing I've heard in years. And
when I'm talking, when I'm talking about years, I'm talking
about a good two thirds of my life.

Speaker 2 (01:35:31):
Okay, Like this is bad for worse than the first track.

Speaker 1 (01:35:36):
The vocals are way more extreme on this one, for sure,
So I think there what the vocals are way more
extremely Yeah, they were everywhere, They're everywhere, dude, Yeah, all right, all.

Speaker 5 (01:35:49):
Right, he's having a mid life crisis right now.

Speaker 1 (01:35:51):
I'm completely like thinking about going into checking myself into
a mental institution right now because the fucking crazy one.

Speaker 2 (01:36:03):
We're kidding, little riddler freak out.

Speaker 1 (01:36:08):
Oh no, no, no, yeah, this song fucking sucks. There's
nothing I've heard of value, So what about saying that,
like to be pretentious? There is like, as just a
regular person, there's no value in any of this music.
What are you as smoking? I'm like, I'm like, I'm mad.
I'm mad right now?

Speaker 14 (01:36:28):
Why why?

Speaker 1 (01:36:29):
Because, motherfucker? You know what, I'm not gonna let you
guys get under my skin. I'm not gonna let you
guys get to me.

Speaker 2 (01:36:38):
You guys are trying, but I'm not.

Speaker 1 (01:36:39):
You guys are trying. But you know what, there's still
a chance for me not to be crazy into like
one of these songs, right right, all right, let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:36:49):
Yeah, technically it's one. The last one is just to
show you, like a previous song that it's on the playlist,
but with dad, like it's a live performance.

Speaker 1 (01:36:57):
So you're saying that the next song could have been
the last song. Yeah, I extended it, but you extended
it the decision, you motherfucker. Yes, I will never forgive
you for this heeled it back. I will be I
will be giving you about this until the day you die.
I will be over your deathbed being like, remember that

(01:37:18):
Mayhem playlist and you extended it.

Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
He's gonna be over my deathbed.

Speaker 1 (01:37:22):
So these vocals we're hearing, they're not the original. Nobody
gives a fuck? I do?

Speaker 5 (01:37:28):
I do?

Speaker 1 (01:37:29):
Hey, what is this episode about metal? This does not
sound like metal. This sounds as far as metals, as
bad as it sounds, as bad as it sounds. Can
you not say that they were influential in the music
that came after that? Sure, there's a lot of people

(01:37:50):
that don't like music that just started playing this ship
and then music real musicians were like, oh, we can
actually use some of this and make it better. And
that's what they did.

Speaker 5 (01:38:00):
You know, question, what what is metal to you?

Speaker 17 (01:38:05):
Like?

Speaker 5 (01:38:05):
What do you classify as metal?

Speaker 1 (01:38:07):
Metal to me is loud guitars, loud drums.

Speaker 5 (01:38:11):
That's this. That's also this strong.

Speaker 1 (01:38:14):
Vocal performances if you think about it. But chugging is
essential to metal. Chugging, chugging, it's it's no, it's it's
If you don't have that, you're not metal. That's why
you don't like thrash thrashes metal. I don't. I don't

(01:38:35):
say thrashes not metal. I think crashes fully metal.

Speaker 4 (01:38:39):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:38:39):
I'm not saying that like oh, and thrash has a
lot of pump eating too. I'm talking about pum eating
because black. You know, there's actually reasons, but fuck you
guys for think I'm closed mind. There's a reason why
metal music the the the in sigma in sigma of
metal music is the pommute because it was derived from

(01:39:00):
twenties era blues music, and then it developed as it
went along. In jazz, jazztarted to use a pond eating,
and then when metal was created, when Tony we created metal,
basically chugging was an essential part in the sound. That's
how it differentiated through the distortion, it differentiated from regular
blues riffs, and then it kind of grew from there.
So when you have a ship like this, were just strumming,

(01:39:22):
it's all strumming. This is punk rock. This is not metal,
This is just dark punk music.

Speaker 4 (01:39:28):
This is all this is this is all this is?

Speaker 1 (01:39:31):
And you guys are gonna sit here and fucking tell
me that sleep talking when she uses chugs and black
metal shit that they're they're not metal.

Speaker 6 (01:39:40):
Sounds like a clickbait statement.

Speaker 2 (01:39:42):
You I mean for sure, like punk hardcore, like like
the metal was created.

Speaker 1 (01:39:48):
Yeah, you might be crazy, Tony, but you are I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:39:53):
Know, man, aggressive guitars is like what metal?

Speaker 1 (01:39:56):
Like, that's punk music too, That's why the chugging is
separates it from that. Like music wise, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:40:04):
You can tell a song that's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:40:05):
But point being back to my main question. No, he
asked me what's metal? Oh yeah, so I'm telling him what.

Speaker 5 (01:40:11):
Metal is, okay, in my opinion, that's what metal is
to you.

Speaker 1 (01:40:14):
No, that's what metal is. Like period, that's a metal period.
But signed that but to and KK Downing and Rob
Halford and the three fucking forty nine guitar players and
iron made him.

Speaker 7 (01:40:29):
Did Tony Yaomi ever say like, oh, this stuff right
here can't be metal, but only this stuff can be metal?

Speaker 5 (01:40:34):
Did he ever say that?

Speaker 1 (01:40:35):
So dark dark punk music is metal.

Speaker 4 (01:40:38):
That's what this is.

Speaker 1 (01:40:40):
Dark punk. Me, I don't fucking know. Metal to me
is like I said, loud guitarist. But the trademark is
the chug. It doesn't have to be chugging on every song.
I'm not saying has to chuck every song, but there
has to be chugging in somewhere for it to be metal.
Name any one of your favorite metal songs right fucking now,
and I guarantee you have the song is chugging.

Speaker 4 (01:41:01):
Go ahead, trying to Goodlac Goodles.

Speaker 1 (01:41:05):
Use a chugging next one, next, next, Julian, what proof
do you have the first? I'm using your guys because
you guys don't have no tast. Now, Julian's in the
goddamn pool too, all right, yeah either way, you wrong?

Speaker 7 (01:41:22):
All right, Yeah, the fucking music reviewer doesn't have any taste. Okay, Okay,
I review everything under the sun.

Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
Okay, dead right, Dead was dead and they still like
played the songs, but they just had someone else like
do it, yeah, do it basically, So the last track
is an actual live performance, and you actually.

Speaker 1 (01:41:43):
Here, we're not on the last track. We got another
track second. You know, that's just let's go. Why we're
having a good time. I'm having a great time with
my boys, and I'm drunk and I'm listening to fucking
shitty music this motherfuckers' time.

Speaker 5 (01:42:05):
This is why I got sober. People, I couldn't why
I got sober.

Speaker 1 (01:42:08):
I could have been playing Doom the Dark Ages right now,
but right now I'm reviewing this dark punk rock and
I'm arguing with you guys, it's not including including Julium.
All right, all right. The next one is off the
album Grand Declaration of War from two thousand. All right,
Grand Declarations because they lasted that long they didn't kill

(01:42:31):
each other, A Grand Declaration of Wars. The album this
song is called A Blood Sword and a Colder Sun.
It's a longer title, but Spotify will let me read
the rest of it. Damn so A Blood Sword and
a Colder Sun. Comma dot dot.

Speaker 5 (01:42:45):
Dot Part two, part of course, it's part two.

Speaker 1 (01:42:53):
One.

Speaker 2 (01:42:55):
I was like, I need to put this on. Yeah yet.

Speaker 1 (01:43:04):
Bashi whips out stick ship makes me stinky, It makes
me water my ask, it makes.

Speaker 14 (01:43:10):
Me one girl ask?

Speaker 2 (01:43:12):
Yeah, Yeah, I like to get back.

Speaker 5 (01:43:17):
Sounded like trees, sounds like man whist cracked.

Speaker 1 (01:43:36):
How long are we going for? Should I start freestelling again?

Speaker 2 (01:43:42):
It doesn't come out the next The next part of
thing yes, all.

Speaker 19 (01:43:46):
Right now, Yes, grab fish kill.

Speaker 5 (01:43:57):
Oh dear killing, eels of che into the f.

Speaker 19 (01:44:08):
O Chuck's the pasition empt in My Kingdom Follow You,
And I said, Beauty.

Speaker 1 (01:44:20):
Fallen sounds like it would be a blade.

Speaker 2 (01:44:27):
Yeah, I didn't hear that.

Speaker 5 (01:44:29):
It definitely does.

Speaker 19 (01:44:35):
I know, fure show, you know most us.

Speaker 18 (01:44:40):
This is all this is.

Speaker 1 (01:44:41):
This is the whole song, like the album is just
all over.

Speaker 2 (01:44:44):
The plane was like, dude, I gotta put the weirdest one.

Speaker 1 (01:44:46):
Down there with the cat. What the cat?

Speaker 4 (01:44:51):
Go with the cat?

Speaker 1 (01:44:52):
What the fuck?

Speaker 4 (01:44:54):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (01:44:55):
I love that.

Speaker 14 (01:44:56):
Yeah, and you don't like.

Speaker 1 (01:44:58):
Hip hop because of the same beat over and over again.

Speaker 2 (01:45:01):
I didn't really say I like this, so.

Speaker 1 (01:45:04):
Why did you add it? For the value for for this.

Speaker 6 (01:45:10):
Reaction out of you? And it works.

Speaker 1 (01:45:12):
That's the whole episode right now. Just I feel like
I'm in a fucking Stephen King movie right now. All right,
We're gonna start with Julian. Julian thoughts on of Blood,
thoughts on that song.

Speaker 13 (01:45:29):
That was so good.

Speaker 5 (01:45:33):
I fucking love that. It was just whispering the entire time.
I just love that. I loved it so much. It's
winning me over.

Speaker 1 (01:45:45):
All right, this will be Julian's last appearance. You thank
you so much for coming on and.

Speaker 5 (01:45:54):
It's lasted, all right?

Speaker 1 (01:46:01):
Oh please? So fucking that was so did you know
what you said right now?

Speaker 19 (01:46:10):
That was so?

Speaker 1 (01:46:10):
That was so fucking good?

Speaker 4 (01:46:12):
Dude? How good?

Speaker 2 (01:46:13):
You not like that?

Speaker 1 (01:46:14):
Did that slap? That slap?

Speaker 4 (01:46:17):
The fuck?

Speaker 2 (01:46:18):
That definitely sound like two thousands?

Speaker 1 (01:46:20):
Like I don't know, Oh no, yeah, it's definitely two thousand, Like, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:46:24):
I don't know something about it, like sci fi like
kind of weird X Files kind of I don't know,
I feel that, but yeah, I just I put it
in there, honestly because it's like, dude, that's range, like
if that's what they were doing, like holy shit, like that's.

Speaker 4 (01:46:42):
A drum beat in a fucking to no baseline.

Speaker 2 (01:46:44):
Yeah, but you don't expect that from like, like, I
don't know the dudes.

Speaker 1 (01:46:48):
Who are playing the same drum beat over and over
against with four.

Speaker 2 (01:46:51):
Notes good questions, dude, I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (01:46:53):
They can just cut it in half, right, all right,
get straight to the part, Rudy.

Speaker 8 (01:47:00):
I didn't expect this at all. But if I'm being honest,
I didn't really like it too much. I like, there's
they're they're very fast faced, way too so for me.
I mean to be honest.

Speaker 1 (01:47:11):
Yeah, and you know, I respect your opinion. This could
have been the last song. This could have been We
could have moved on with our lives. Julian could have
went and watched that corpse paint off, could have gone
home to you could have gone home to your game
and you're dippy the Terrans arning and you could have

(01:47:32):
been on number eight by Now, what the fuck are you?

Speaker 14 (01:47:38):
Guys?

Speaker 1 (01:47:38):
Gotta be you guys have to be fucking.

Speaker 5 (01:47:40):
With me, but we're not.

Speaker 6 (01:47:43):
I've given you, I've been honestly.

Speaker 4 (01:47:46):
You're honesty.

Speaker 1 (01:47:47):
This is legit. I didn't I.

Speaker 8 (01:47:48):
Didn't like the last song very much. The other songs
were cool. Is that for the first one that the
vocals were a little bit too much for me?

Speaker 1 (01:47:54):
Okay, you know what, dude, I respect your opinion too.
Thank Yeah, that's wrong, thank you, It's very wrong. I
sometimes I feel like Donald Trump on here is wrong.
You really, I'm a stalker. I'm a cheater and a
supporter the metal Donald Trump, don't don't you call me
the monster.

Speaker 13 (01:48:16):
I like monsters.

Speaker 1 (01:48:18):
I don't see myself as fucking Ronnie Radke. I've heard
he's done enough damage to my band name and my image.

Speaker 5 (01:48:27):
Okay, you just said you're the metal Donald Trump, and
that's basically what Ronnie is.

Speaker 1 (01:48:32):
Yeah, that's true. That's it. That's probably why I have
beef with you. It's very very big room. All right,
I'm not I haven't seen my opinion. You have no
clue if I like this song any What do you think?

Speaker 4 (01:48:50):
Honey?

Speaker 1 (01:48:50):
What do you think?

Speaker 5 (01:48:51):
What?

Speaker 1 (01:48:51):
What do you think? It was a song?

Speaker 4 (01:48:54):
I hated it.

Speaker 1 (01:48:57):
Nothing's changing. This is fucking, god fucking terrible. I hated it.
Like he should know that this this music needs to
be taken out back and how and be like, Letny
tell me how you want to tend the routes the rabbits,
jodge them back. That's this music. It's fun. That's probably

(01:49:21):
what happened with the first hang from from from now
on when we when we do a bands and you
guys want to give me a ship about Limp, Biscuit,
Papa Roach like anything like that. I'm gonna remember these
moments throughout this episode. Keep it in mind. This was terrible.
This is I mean, it was kind of creative and
then it just like wasn't It's like they were jabbing,

(01:49:42):
and the homie was like, oh I got this beat,
ye at a baseline, don't. And then hey, let's do
a twin guitar memony. That probably kind of cool to
the twin guitarmony. And then he do some vocals over
just talk. I don't get it, and and that's the

(01:50:03):
whole song, right, Like, we didn't miss anything, really stopped
half way. We stopped halfway.

Speaker 2 (01:50:09):
Well, let's let's take a little gain.

Speaker 1 (01:50:11):
There you go. Oh that time is just one note.
I feel like we missed.

Speaker 5 (01:50:29):
Let's push it.

Speaker 1 (01:50:29):
Let's push a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:50:30):
Let's push it a little by toxication.

Speaker 5 (01:50:39):
No songs strange, I.

Speaker 4 (01:50:44):
Am away, We're not.

Speaker 1 (01:50:48):
I regret that choice greatly. You didn't listen to the
whole song. You sound him a bitch. You were like,
all this sounds cool. I'm gonna have never listen to
it again. She's like, first thirty second, Oh, this is cool.
The guys are gonna like this at it six weeks
ago and never came back to the fucking song. I
was like, this is just for shock. Think I'm not shocked.

(01:51:11):
It sounds the same, just ship, ship ship everywhere, all right, everywhere.
So so the next song on the last playlist that
could have been the last song, but no, no extended edition.
I don't even know why you had the freedom do this.
You're always late. We should we need to revoke your
creative past.

Speaker 2 (01:51:30):
For a little whilest.

Speaker 1 (01:51:31):
We need to uh this, can you pronounce that? Live
and Lipzig lip okay?

Speaker 14 (01:51:39):

Speaker 4 (01:51:50):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:51:50):
This is the same song we heard before, just with that?

Speaker 4 (01:51:54):
Why not?

Speaker 1 (01:51:55):
Why not listen to the exact same song we heard before,
just with the you know what? All right, we're gonna
play this from nineteen ninety three, The Freezing Moon. What
it's try? No, no, yeah, yes, come on, come on?

(01:52:18):

gonna be a good sport. I'm gonna be a good sport,
good sport. The Frozen Moon Live and Lipstick, nineteen ninety
What it's true, Allen, it's freezy move got sassy?

Speaker 2 (01:52:55):

Speaker 1 (01:52:57):
Oh no, We're go listen to the whole thing? Oh man,

Speaker 7 (01:53:04):

Speaker 14 (01:53:06):
Alright, what it's called?

Speaker 1 (01:53:31):
What would you say? Get a good day kid, it's
a good daylight a not okay dad? You get that raise?

Speaker 15 (01:53:38):
Yeah? I got that.

Speaker 1 (01:53:38):
Rais you don't get to talk to him, Man, how
hard you work, you don't get to talk to him.

Speaker 2 (01:53:43):
I can only talk and listen to the songs.

Speaker 1 (01:53:46):
Take a pen Chip made some things. Yeah, alright, here
we go. Is that a group that comp a group?

Speaker 4 (01:54:06):
Yeah, that's a group. They can play in four four.

Speaker 1 (01:54:14):
It metal.

Speaker 6 (01:54:17):
Metal, Tony.

Speaker 1 (01:54:18):
If it was like one core change, it would be grunge.

Speaker 4 (01:54:22):
Do I can't believe we're hearing this shit again?

Speaker 1 (01:54:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (01:54:45):
So good.

Speaker 6 (01:54:50):
Cinema. You don't feel it?

Speaker 1 (01:55:00):
I feel it here, I feel it right here?

Speaker 5 (01:55:04):
I tell me here are you feeling it now?

Speaker 1 (01:55:07):
Tony feeling something?

Speaker 15 (01:55:10):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:55:10):
Bubbly, you don't get to do the moon?

Speaker 15 (01:55:13):
Oh yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:55:14):
All right, well, oh this is going on. I'll go
to the bathroom quick and I'll be right that right,
all right, we're done this music.

Speaker 4 (01:55:29):
You can't wait.

Speaker 1 (01:55:31):
He's like this, We're like at the last part of
the podcast. Wait, wait, what happened live from the studio?
You just got up and here I'm putting with you.
Let's all go.

Speaker 2 (01:55:51):
Imagine just everybody's gonna take a ship.

Speaker 6 (01:55:53):
Now, you guys just.

Speaker 2 (01:55:56):
Leave me here the bowels. It just did something Jesus here.

Speaker 1 (01:56:03):
Yeah, he's moaning, he's moaning, Alex, Alex, I want you
to explain why we just listened to that again so.

Speaker 2 (01:56:13):
You can hear what that sounds like that was.

Speaker 1 (01:56:17):
I'm never gonna get those three minutes back. I'm never
those precious three minutes I will never get back.

Speaker 2 (01:56:24):
I want to hear dead dead sound like God, I.

Speaker 1 (01:56:28):
Wish I was dead. This ship it's fucking hot. It's hot, dude, right,
it's it's all the it's all the terribleness from this
fucking music. Dude.

Speaker 4 (01:56:42):
Window, Yeah he closed.

Speaker 1 (01:56:44):
I don't know why he closed the window by the
way here, all right, Well, either way, we're getting we're going,
think fucking god, we're getting to the tail end of
this ship. This is, this is, I mean, it's it's
become one of my I think it's become one of
my favorite episodes. But still, that was so good. Okay,
go ahead, go ahead, you guys. I want to hear

(01:57:06):
your thoughts on the live version of was it better
than I thought? The vocal or very were better than Yeah,
we heard mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (01:57:19):
Rudy let me.

Speaker 1 (01:57:23):
Hear your thoughts, brother, go on, man, I'm so glad.
I'm like half drunk on this episode.

Speaker 6 (01:57:33):
It's a good song.

Speaker 1 (01:57:34):
I like it, dude, you would call that a good
song once once it gets over the fucking two minute intro. Yes,
once we get over that intro. I enjoy every fucking
second of it. But that build up, I hate the builds.
That's a tall call, Rudy, you loved every second of it.
The cold is freezing, fe I really want, like I understand,

(01:57:59):
like the listening to the to the to dad to dad.
Do you want to listen to like you know him
on it? I want to know why you thought that
was so important.

Speaker 2 (01:58:11):
Oh well, I think the whole vocalist, like throughout this
whole playlist has definitely been all over the place, so
it's like, well, fuck, I might as well hear the
dude that fucking started it.

Speaker 1 (01:58:22):
All right.

Speaker 23 (01:58:23):
I'm just curious, No, no, I'm just careous how they
went from that guy to that guy, right, Yeah, Julian thoughts.

Speaker 7 (01:58:35):
I think it's I think it's kind of obvious how
they went from that guy to that guy if you've
seen the movie or heard the stories.

Speaker 5 (01:58:45):
Yeah, dead didn't I'm not gonna give it to that,
but I liked it. Honestly. I like Dad's vocals a
lot better.

Speaker 1 (01:58:52):
All right, that's wonderful.

Speaker 5 (01:58:54):
Listen, Tony, what do you think?

Speaker 1 (01:59:00):
Thank you, Julian. I appreciate that because these guys obviously
don't give a fuck. Well, I'm sorry, I'm my opinion
is just being spread out here like an std just infecting,
and none of you guys are taken to it. This
is again, the exact same fucking this was terrible.

Speaker 2 (01:59:19):
This was terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:59:20):
Would why would you show me that? Why would you
be like, dude, let me steal three minutes of your
life and let me exact same song, just worse.

Speaker 2 (01:59:35):
Yeah, the fucking quality. Holy shit, I don't like.

Speaker 1 (01:59:38):
I can't comprehend why you guys like this shit, Like
how you can look me dead in the eye and
be like sleep tokens worring this fucking name. Man, fucks,
I don't I can't comprehend it. I just don't understand it.

Speaker 8 (01:59:57):
It's definitely not something I'm gonna like be rotation with.
You know, I'm not saying anything like that, but okay,
if I want to hear some like raw old school
black metal.

Speaker 1 (02:00:09):
When are you ever in the mood to hear Old
school Rob.

Speaker 8 (02:00:11):
Honestly, when I'm playing like Diablo sometimes I like some
black metal while playing Diablo more it's very atmospheric, kind
of in the sense of, you know, I felt like
the Lorna Shore was more like, well, yeah, that would
be This sounds like kids trying to learn instruments.

Speaker 6 (02:00:32):
To go to hell, or like when I like, I
don't know, dude, Like I know, yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:00:38):
Listen, listen, listen, listen. Just because I disagree with your
musical tastes, let me. I love you last I still
love you. I want to take you to church. I
think it's time. I think we should go to church
and find God. Listen, listen, listen, listen. But again, like
I'm I'm fucking out numbered here, Like I feel like
at the cub in the corner with all the cannibalistic
lions like crowding over me. Right, we're all like joining

(02:01:02):
this and I'm no, no, there's no value in this music.
Like that's my criticism. There's nothing of value, entertaining connecting.
This is trash, this is utter garbage. I don't like
I get Jake. Look, okay, I know we're talking about Look,

(02:01:32):
I'm gonna give in a little bit. I like blast beats.
I don't like these blast beats. I like demonic vocals.
I don't like these demonic vocals. I like we all
thought out lyrics. I just like good music and simple man.
I mean because like because like you guys say like, oh, well,

(02:01:52):
you're like yeah, but I'm fucking blasting Laurna Shore and
Chapel and I'm still the Olympisca guy. Well, nobody knows
what to say to that. By the way, I never forget,
never forget where you.

Speaker 2 (02:02:06):
I mean, I definitely like eased off of like the
Olympus stuff, just like you showed me.

Speaker 1 (02:02:12):
Curated not tonight. You don't tonight. You like Mayhem to
like Mayhem? Yeah all right, So, so do we have
a fall off point? It was never on? You were
never on? Are you on?

Speaker 4 (02:02:28):
Now?

Speaker 1 (02:02:30):
You sound like you're on because you've been fucking like.

Speaker 18 (02:02:32):
I love this, I love it.

Speaker 2 (02:02:43):
That's exactly how bad she was.

Speaker 1 (02:02:44):
That's exactly that's exactly how look at the big laughter
and so like, dude, I just want to know, like
I think I'm on the train, you're on the I
just pushed them on the train. Get the funk on there, dude? Yeah,
uh Rudy, do you have a follo up point with Mayhem?

Speaker 6 (02:03:07):
I would just say I have a followup point because
I never really got on.

Speaker 1 (02:03:09):
But are you on the train now?

Speaker 5 (02:03:11):
No?

Speaker 1 (02:03:11):
I still won't look them up, really yeah, I won't,
but if they come up random, they'll listen to it.
But like, am I gonna type on Spotify Mayhem?

Speaker 7 (02:03:18):
No?

Speaker 1 (02:03:19):
No, I know you guys are with me? What about you?

Speaker 4 (02:03:22):
Follow point?

Speaker 2 (02:03:24):
Yeah, I've never really been on. Like I said, this
is like a band that, like I don't hate hearing,
you know, like when if it comes on like shuffle,
which rarely does, I won't mind it. But I'm not
listening to more of them, like since i've been kind
of explore about him in the last like fucking year
or so, I haven't really been revisiting too much. But

(02:03:48):
I'll talk about my album recommendation. But yeah, you know,
I don't want to call myself a Mayhem fan and
then be like, you know, it's okay, you know what
I mean. I'm getting influenced by other like music, Like
I'm not really pulling in much from like Mayhem, which
I kind of agree with, Like goes with what you're saying,

(02:04:08):
like there's just nothing to like intake from this value value.
But my interpretition that is like, well, I don't really
get inspired like by this music. I'd rather listen to
like the generations after that incorporated like that style. You
know what I mean and what they did with it.

Speaker 1 (02:04:29):
Julian, Uh, do you have a fall off point with Mayhem?

Speaker 7 (02:04:34):
I was never on the wagon, the bandwagon, the train,
whatever the fuck you want to call it with Mayhem.

Speaker 1 (02:04:40):
You're on now I'm pushing you on, Julian.

Speaker 7 (02:04:45):
Yeah, But but I am in the same boat as
as Hondro because, like I said that at the top
of the show, I like black metal when it's incorporating
and other stuff like Zion Ardor and Death Heaven. But
to be honest, I probably won't listen to this ever again,
and this is really is only a one time thing.

Speaker 5 (02:05:01):
But I'm oh, I'm gonna say, something's gonna piss you off, Tony.

Speaker 9 (02:05:07):
Why not?

Speaker 3 (02:05:08):
Why not?

Speaker 7 (02:05:10):
The thing is, I've never seen Mayhem live, but I
have seen Limp Biscuit live, and I think Mayhem would
put on a much more interesting live show.

Speaker 5 (02:05:23):
I've seen. I've seen Lipiscus.

Speaker 7 (02:05:27):
I saw Limp Biscuit two years ago and it was
one of the worst shows I've ever seen.

Speaker 8 (02:05:33):
Hey, you know what, Jerry's seen Mayhem dude with Luna,
and he said they were a pretty badass. They played
like some random ass ship.

Speaker 1 (02:05:40):
Dude, he wasn't paying attention. It's a band rooting. Huh.

Speaker 6 (02:05:45):
Oh, he wasn't.

Speaker 1 (02:05:46):
He wasn't paying attention to the band.

Speaker 6 (02:05:51):
I'm concusing that I'm just too high.

Speaker 1 (02:05:53):
But oh, okay, well I'll tell you later. I don't
want to say it on the podcast.

Speaker 4 (02:05:57):
I want to.

Speaker 1 (02:05:58):
Oh the fucking timing tonight. On one point, this is
how you know we spent too much time with each other. Now, okay,
well that was good. That was good. That so Jerry's
Jerry liked them, So that's good. Did Jerry like Mayhem? Yeah?

Speaker 8 (02:06:19):
He actually he talks about him a good amount, all right.
He told me, like, anything I know about them is
because of Jerry.

Speaker 1 (02:06:25):
Okay, well you let him know that he supports a murderer,
he supports them an a racist?

Speaker 6 (02:06:31):
Nos, what he doesn't.

Speaker 5 (02:06:33):
That was just about the music, Tony.

Speaker 1 (02:06:35):
Just about the music. When are you talking about the music?
My bad? I'm sorry, do you have a follow point.

Speaker 2 (02:06:40):
You already asked me.

Speaker 1 (02:06:41):
As you look, I'm the guy at the train station
with a sign that says, don't get on this fucking train.
I'm trying to keep people off.

Speaker 5 (02:06:52):
You just pushed us up.

Speaker 1 (02:06:55):
No, I'm I'm I'm I'm a hero. I'm saving saving
people musical taste, and I'm trying with you. Guys. Please, guys,
please don't get on this train. You're gonna regret it.
It's gonna harm you mentally.

Speaker 2 (02:07:08):
And like please, Okay, what bro, bro.

Speaker 1 (02:07:16):
Call me John Copper because I don't support a murderer
an a rasis. Look, okay, we're talking with the music.
Let's get music.

Speaker 4 (02:07:24):
Don't don't get on the train.

Speaker 1 (02:07:25):
Don't. There's other music, other shitty music that's a little better,
like Ghosts. Like ghosts.

Speaker 14 (02:07:32):
Ghost is not ship.

Speaker 1 (02:07:35):
I'm the villain tonight. Fuck you, guys. I'm gonna this ship.
I'm gonna take that. I'm gonna be the bad guy.
I'm gonna be the monster, bad guy.

Speaker 5 (02:07:44):
You're the savage.

Speaker 1 (02:07:48):
Pull up pictures of fat chicks on Instagram and let
me call him out. I'm gonna be a bad guy.
I'm gonna start fat shaming.

Speaker 5 (02:07:54):
Oh, okay, taking yourself into a deeper grade.

Speaker 1 (02:07:59):
