Speaker 1 (00:14):
Good morning. It's Michael Patrick Shields radio stations across the
state of Michigan and worldwide ATMI Bigshow dot Com. I'm
gonna have a little bit of a hip a violation
here this morning, courtesy of Tony Cuthbert and his family,
because he was all set up for a Labor Day

(00:35):
weekend and well it kind of went sideways. And the
reason it went sideways, we think.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Hmmm, I'm food poisoning possibly, you know, we delve deep
into our issues. And on Thursday afternoon I got a
call from the school district and with a child that
claiming he was sick. So I went and picked him
up and he had a stay. Yeah, my son had
a stomach bug of sored. Of course I get a
moment fifteen minutes later, he's perfectly fine, magically, but there

(01:04):
might have been something there. And then on Friday we
go out to a nice restaurant in the Ann Arbor area.
And after that on Friday afternoon, let's just say, the
next meal we ate as a family was Monday night
for dinner. It was a weekend filled with everybody in
their own corners and nobody feeling up the speed to
pretty much leave the couch or bed all weekend. Not

(01:27):
great for a Labor day weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Doctor John Wycoff at the why Cough Wellness Center. If
Tony Kuthbert came in and told you that, would you
suspect that it's food poisoning.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Well, Michael, sounds suspicious, especially with multiple family members. I
assume ate the same meal or shared the same meal,
and if it occurred four to six hours after eating
the symptoms initially it most lucky was it can be
not a very pleasant time. I've been through that myself,

(01:58):
and it really can ruin your planning. And pretty much
all you can do is let it get out of
your system and move on.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Well, we won't say the name of the place, but
it's a well known place and I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
It was my first It was my first visit to
this place, and I was so excited about it, and uh,
probably never going to go back.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
M did you think of calling that particular restaurant and
asking if anyone else had called?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
I contemplated it, but then you know, it got to
be Monday afternoon and I'm like, ah, it's over whatever.
I'm just gonna move on. I'm not gonna there's nothing
that's gonna happen about it and whatever.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Doctor Wycoff. Former President Bill Clinton, there is some talk
that his health might be declining. He was spotted in
the Hamptons with a defibrillator in tow, a pro pack
md Air medical bag, a lightweight transport monitor and defibrillator.
What do you make of that.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Same A little lot. I can't say I've heard of
anybody who trembles with their own personal defibrillator. But he
does have a history of some heart issues, and maybe
he's had to be troubles within irregular heart rhythm or heartbeat,
and they're taking extraordinary care to be sure if the
event does occur that they have the equipment there to

(03:22):
change the outcome. But certainly very vigilant and more than
you would normally think of when someone travels. But you know,
you and I are at the ex president, so maybe
that's part of the deal. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
No, the current president has been under speculation, and in fact,
he had to come out yesterday and have a little
press conference to tell everybody that he's okay and alive.
You know, he was off the grid for a couple
of days, and that makes people nervous, and he's so
visible they begin to wonder where is he. But it

(03:58):
sounds like he says he was perfectly fine. He went
to play golf, and there was some explanation of his conditions.
I don't know if you took a look at it
or not. Or they talk about his hands and they
talk about something called chronic venous insufficiency. What is that?

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Well, that is this condition. It is common, especially in
elderly people over seventy where the veins and the lower
legs become distended and blood will pool in the legs
around the ankles and feet, especially if you've been either
standing or sitting for a pro long period of time,
and oftentimes you wear some support stockings or elevate the

(04:40):
legs in the afternoon. But you know, the president keeps
a pretty busy schedule, and I think he probably does
spend a lot of time either standing at the you know,
with different events, or sitting at his desk. And I
don't think there's too much to make of it beyond
that he doesn't appear to be in heart failure or
anything like this. I kind of attributed his being away

(05:03):
for two days as Messiah. You know, he rose on
the third day, so you know.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
He must have shaken a lot of hands while he
was wherever he was, because that's what Caroline Levitt says.
It's the bruising on his hands is from frequent use
of aspirin and handshaking.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
I think again it's plausible. And you've got a seventy
nine year old person, the skin on the hands and
the arms becomes the term he uses friable, but it's
very thin. The blood vessels break very easily. So if
you've had an elderly person in your life or grandparent
or something, you'll notice on their arms and hands just

(05:43):
from very minimal trauma touching a doorknob, a cabinet, a
cable that's no bruce, and the bruising can be quite appear,
quite dark and significant because the skin it's become so
friable with age. The cow diligen in the skin has
gone away, so the bruising can be quite impressive with

(06:06):
minor trauma.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
You think doctor ch should look at Donald Trump's fingernails
and tongue.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
You know, Doctor g would enjoy that he's going to
be back in mid Michigan for its only Michigan stop.
He will be here Monday morning at nine am at
white Off Wellness means Lancing. You can have a personal
evaluation from a doctor T. He's a natural path who
has a completely different approach to health and wellness, not

(06:34):
only things that are a problem today for you, but
even more importantly, things that should be on your radar
for the future, almost like a crystal ball, things like
heart disease, cancer, chronic fatigue, diabetes. Doctor ch will find
changes in the fingernails and tongues. It's amazing how quickly

(06:55):
he can come to an assessment. It's about a ten
minute evaluation and it's a lot of fun to see
doctor T. And then they'll have some recommendations as to
what you can begin to do with diet, lifestyle, supplements
and the like to help you stay on that path
the health and wellness. He'll be a hope. He'll be
in Wycoff Wellness on Monday the eighth until Thursday the eleventh,

(07:19):
and we just call the office five one seven three
