Speaker 1 (00:06):
I'm gonna live until I die. I'm gonna laugh instead
of cry. I'm gonna take the town and turn it
upside down. I'm gonna live live until I die. They're
gonna say, what a guy. I'm gonna play for the sky.

(00:27):
Ain't gonna miss a thing. I'm gonna have my fling.
I'm gonna live. I live until I die.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Can you live forever? And if you are gonna live forever,
you wanna feel good forever too? And that means maybe
you can't age? Is there a way to avoid it? Well,
it's the fountain of youth we've all dreamed about, and
it's Michael Patrick Shields through the A, T and T microphones.
Doctor Michael Azaz as an internist and a regenerative medicine

(00:58):
specialist in New York's. His new book is called The
Ageless Revolution. Ten Hallmarks of Aging that hold the secret
defeating disease, reversing age, looking younger, and living longer. Can
it be true? Doctor? Thank you for being here, Welcome
to the program.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Good morning, and thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Michael, let me ask if you don't mind your age?

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Well, according to the book, I'm ageless, I'm sixty one, but.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I feel like you one. That was my next question,
what do you feel? You feel eighteen?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Others I feel eighteen. But I think people have to
focus not on their chronological age, the day that we
are born, our birthday. We have to focus now on
the new advances in medicine, our biological age. What is
the age of ourselves, because that's more important than the
day will were born.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Do you think that your mind tells you your age
or is it the way your body feels that tells
your mind? Boy, I'm getting old.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
I think it's a combination of things that depends upon
your health, It depends upon your lifestyle. But I think
we can all reverse our age with all the technology
and all the advances happening in medicine, which I share
with the readers in this book, because there's so many
advances right now to not only live longer, but to
live healthier for such a long time. And we've seen

(02:28):
so many people all over the world who have conquered
aging and have lived to be ninety and one hundred
and Unfortunately, in the United States, our lifespan is only
seventy six. It is the lowest in the Western world.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Wow. The United States, the richest, most advanced country, has
an expected age limit lower than the rest of the
world or lots of the rest of the world.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yes, absolutely, and even in some states like Mississippi, we
have a lower lifespan than Bangladesh, of the you know,
the third world countries. So it's really very, very sad,
And that's why I wanted to share my information with
the public and the readers, to educate people that there's
a new way to age, because really, right now, medicine
is stuck in the nineteenth century. We're treating diabetes, we're
treating high blood pressure, we're treating high cholesterol, and we're

(03:17):
not treating aging as a disease. And that's a new
concept in medicine. If we can target aging as a disease,
we can prevent all the chronic age related diseases from
happening in the first place, which really shortened life.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Let's take everybody back to school. Then back to school.
Time of year is coming up, and so we'll get
the book. It's called the Ageless Revolution. Ten hallmarks of
aging that hold the secret to defeating disease, reversing age,
looking younger, and living longer. Level'll get the book. We'll
do our studying, but what are a few things we
can do today that you would advise that would make

(03:52):
us feel younger and healthier and give us a longer life.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
So there are in the book. Divice is divided into
two parts. The doctor can do everything. A lifestyle is
very important, and the most important thing is dealing with
stress level, getting adequate sleep, fixing your diet. We're eating
a lot of processed food in America. We're eating a
lot of refined carbohydrates, sugar, massive amount of chemicals as

(04:16):
you know trends fats and the fast food industry. We're
fixated on our weight when the fact is we should
be eating not only healthy and a balanced diet, staying
away from low fat with the massive amounts of sugar,
the low carb with all the nitrites which are linked
to cancer, but also eating superfoods that people in the
blue zones, that's the countries that make it to many

(04:37):
make it to one hundred, eat a lot of superfood.
And once you fix everything your lifestyle, avoiding drugs, smoking,
all that stuff, we can move on to the things
that the doctor can help you live better, which are
the supplements and medications and peptides and all the stuff
that can make us live healthier and longer.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Is Detroit style pizza a superfood?

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Well, I think if you want to eat pizza, you
can go for like a whole wheat pizza, like you know,
very sind crust, a lot of vegetables, and that's perfectly fine.
It's better than eating French fries from a fast food place.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
What is a superfood?

Speaker 3 (05:17):
So superfood is a type of food that delivers super
nutrients and super vitamins and minerals that can make ourselves
live longer. So we have a lot of superfood I
talk about that in the book. We have sweet purple
potatoes that's what they eat in Okinawa, Japan, and many
make it to one hundred. They're so hard to find.

(05:37):
And then different than ms. There are purple on the inside,
but they have more antioxidants than blueberries and alder berries
and the strawberries. We also have butter, believe it or not,
as a superfood. Butter the French eat it, they'll live
a very very long life. And also we have a

(05:57):
type of tea that I talk about in the book
called jaguar lung tea. Many people have not to coard
of it. That's the type of tea that they drink
in China, and it has more antioxidants, maybe sixty seven
times more than green tea. I take it in a
pill form. So that's something that we can all do
to improve our health.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
You're a proponent of intermittent fasting.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
There are different types of intermittent fasting. Intermittent festing has
been le and studies has shown to live a longer life.
So I'm in favor of skipping a meal once in
a while, maybe on the weekend, skipping breakfast, having a
black tea in the morning, and then having brunch and dinner.
But I'm not a proponent of long periods of intermittent
fasting where people don't eat for two or three days,

(06:43):
because that's really very hard. It can lead to a
longer life, but it has really a lot of problems.
One of them is lots of muscle mass, and we
need more muscle as we get older. So skipping a
meal is perfectly okay, but skipping meals for days is
not a good idea.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
The book is simple, it will help us quickly.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Yes, I try to make anti aging right now affordable
because right now the people the celebrities, the Kardashians, all
those people are doing all the things I talk in
the book. The problem that this is the problem for
it's an issue that only the rich and the super
rich can do. And I want to make anti aging
affordable for everything.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
We appreciate that. And the book is The Ageless Revolution
by doctor Michael Aziz
