Detroit has a car race that goes through town, and
so does Las Vegas. A Formula one race and it's
Michael Patrick Shields. This is the theme song from not
only the Formula One movie, but the Formula One broadcasts
and the races themselves. And in Las Vegas, I got
to visit Grand Prix Plaza, which just opened, and it

(00:22):
is the paddock area for the race. So it's where
the pits are and where the cars pull in and
they're really really rich and watch the finish line. And
what they do during the rest of the year is
they've created the F one experience, and so if you
go to Las Vegas, it's a mighty worthwhile experience. There
you can get in a go kart, and I mean

(00:43):
the most sophisticated go kart you can imagine, and drive
it on the actual F one track. As part of it,
you can see simulators and climb into those two and
I'm telling you what I got in that simulator and
I was trying not to crash. It was so realistic
and I look down and I'm like, dude, you're going
only eighty That's not what these cars are meant to do.

So then you get it's so realistic. You get the
courage to open it up. And I went through the
straightaways right where Tony Cuthbert and I stood when we
watched the race there last November, and I got it
up to two twenty, but I started to get like
palpitations and kind of clammy and I was like, hey,
this is so realistic. It was intense, and you can

switch the views and watch it all. And then they
have some Formula one cars on display there too, the Ferraris,
of course I was particularly interested in, and they have
you create your own team and as you go through
exhibit Hall to exhibit Hall, the people working there were
so friendly. They give you the opportunity to change a
tire so you can see what that's like and the

(01:49):
anatomy of these drivers, what athletes they are, the things
that you learn, and so it was really a top
quality experience. And if you're all into Formula one racing,
you will experience like never before, the interactive journey, the
F one drive, the karting experience. And of course there's
a fantastic souvenir shop there too. It's in Las Vegas.

It's called Grand Prix Plaza, and you don't even have
to pay to go in. There's a restaurant, and then
you choose the activities that you want to participate in.
