Speaker 1 (00:01):
Good afternoon, Big Brother fans. It is Thursday afternoon, July thirty, first, right,
is that where're at later in the same day of
the last one I'd recorded this morning? But I'm like
having a bit of a brain foggy moment. So wel
July thirty, first day, twenty four I didn't say that
(00:25):
this morning in the Big Brother House and we're waiting
for the show to start. The feeds have just gone down,
it appears for the last time before the show. This
is gonna be kind of a random fill in a
few holes talk about some random stuff podcast because I
talked about everything pretty much this morning.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Well not everything. There's a few things that I discovered.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
So what are we going to talk about? First of all,
the quick and dirty of it. It looks like the
same as it was this morning, that chances are if
Kelly is still on the block at the end of
the battle Battle of the block Wait, Blockbuster, there we go,
block Buster competition, that she will get voted out. If
(01:14):
it is Adrian versus Will, Adriene will probably get voted out.
Will should remain in the house no matter what. That
is the expectation as of right now. I'm thinking it's
going to be an almost unanimous vote, if not a
unanimous vote. I don't think they're gonna take a chance
(01:35):
on a tie. As much as some people would love that,
I don't think that'll happen.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
I could be wrong, but that's my guess. So what
else do I have to talk about today? Well, I've
got about three things. I should write these things down
because I'll forget one of them before I'm done talking.
But let's give it a shot. First of all, we'll
lead with one that will lead into another. The overnight highlights.
(01:59):
Something I did and see until later this morning was
they had some kind of a sleepover up in the
head of household. Remember, Lauren is the head of household,
and I'm not sure who all participated in the sleepover,
but when I looked in, it looks like Riley and
(02:21):
Catherine both were in the in the head of household
room sleeping over. Now or I mean, well, I take
a great freak. Someone had thought that they couldn't do
a sleep I just remember seeing this posted a couple
of weeks ago, that they couldn't do a sleepover and
they had a household room very easily for more than
(02:41):
a couple of people because it was required that they
had to sleep in the beds. They couldn't sleep in
anything but the beds. That is not the case. They
have had sleepover so far this season. And the head
of household room has a couple of fairly big sofas
that are kind of beds, right, they're not sofa beds,
but there's sofa areas with pillows, and people have slept
(03:05):
on those. So you had you could easily sleep easily
up to four, probably even six. You could probably throw
two on each of those beds, those sofa things, and
then at least two in the bed, if not three,
so maybe even seven if you wanted to kind of
make it tight. I don't know if they'd let people
sleep on the floor, but I don't see why they wouldn't.
(03:25):
I think they do it when they're on lockdown during
this type of during the early day part of the
lockdowns on show days. But what I do know is
that there was a screen cap posted by I think
it's Big Brother screen Caps. I think it's for BB
screen caps whatever one of the screen caps accounts is
(03:46):
who is on Blue Sky. They posted an image of
the head of household. They posted like three images of
the head of Household this morning, and in two of
them you could see Riley and Catherine spooning, like snuggling.
Like they weren't that way the whole night, or at
(04:07):
least part of it, but they were at least that
way for.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
A little bit this morning.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
And I haven't decided if I want to go back
and figure out how long they were spooning. Now, the
feeds weren't on the had a household all night, probably
so it would just be a guesstimate, But maybe if
I could fight a spot wards as well. At two
am they were in separate sleeping places, but at six
am they were spooning.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
I don't know what's going on. I don't know if
Riley and Catherine are actually a thing. It's certainly being
talked about like they might become a thing. We're just
kind of a convenient showmance with it.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
I just don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
He had he made her a special burger last night.
That was something I didn't talk about. Was one of
the comments was on last night's at dinner time that
Keanu just apparently eats a lot, like he takes a lot,
like he took a huge portion and of some kind
of lasagna that was made, and then put some of
it back, but still had a huge portion. And he
(05:06):
almost grabbed a hamburger or some kind of a patty
that Riley had made. And I heard him say he
was doing this, he was getting one burger set aside,
and he made it into a heart shape for Cat.
I don't even know if she ever ate the thing,
but there's this. Riley is constantly flirting and he's not
shy about the fact that he has a quote crush
on Catherine, and Catherine is not discouraging it, but she's
(05:29):
not particularly encouraging it too much. At least she wasn't,
you know, other than oh, we'll sit next to each other,
we'll kind of they do the petting, the little touchy Feelia,
but all the house guests are kind of doing that.
But this spooning in bed kind of a thing was
a bit of a shocker for me this morning.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
All right.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
So there's that which leads me into my Riley Katherine,
not my Riley Katheryne my Riley talk because I was
one among others who when the cast was first announced,
someone found a Facebook post by a person claiming to
be Riley's ex girlfriend. Now I don't remember what I
(06:10):
talked about on here, so I'm going to give you
the basics. But understand, it's been at this point nearly
a month, right, and I haven't gone back to look.
I only can relay what people have said to me
about it. So I just want this stuff taken with
a grain of salt. But I think a lot of
(06:31):
us dragged Riley through the mud, and I don't know
if he necessarily deserved the dragging. So I want to
kind of clear the air a little bit so that
we can move forward, at least in my world. That
at least I tried to get the communication on to
those that listen to me that maybe take a step
back before you condemn Riley too much. So the post
(06:54):
that was on Facebook was someone purporting to be his
ex girlfriend that hadn't talked to him since like November,
and she said she was saying something to the effect
that she's due to have Riley's baby within two weeks,
and we were all just like, of course you're looking
for oh my gosh, this is salacious. We could talk
about this and people just kind of ran with it.
(07:15):
And I'm not necessarily. I was guilty of that too.
Then somebody else I've talked about this amount because you know,
somebody made a post about he has lots of kids
or other baby mamas, and it's like, well, that isn't necessarily,
you know, we don't know that for a fact, and
(07:36):
we didn't know. We don't even know this this woman
purporting to be his mother was or is not his mother.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Is this woman purporting to be.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
His his potential child's daughter or his future child's daughter.
We don't know any of this. And that person has
apparently locked their account since then. So there was all
kinds of dragging that went on in that thread and
it was never confirmed. And as someone said to me,
very which makes a lot of sense, and this has
(08:02):
a lot of truth to it if it was legit.
As much as TMZ likes to drag anybody on a
big brother, you know, if they can drag them down,
they will drag them down. If there was something like
this going on that would make a good story, TMZ
would have been all over it, and they haven't said
(08:24):
word one about it. So I kind of take that
as say, you know what, that's fair. So I'm not
saying that there isn't something going on, but I'm also
not saying that there is, and I would rather defer
to there there isn't any you know whatever. Now that
being said, other people have also dug up things, apparently
(08:44):
that showing that Riley has had lots of speeding tickets
or maybe even had some driving infractions, possibly involving alcohol
or something else. We don't know, but you can be
sure that CBS had found these things out, you know,
they would have done searches for this kind of stuff.
And so it's like, I don't know, We've had lots
(09:05):
of house guests that have had run ins with the law,
right We've got a current two former All Stars that
have had run ins with the law since then, since
their season, and they even had issues before then. And
we've got, you know, we've had lots of former house
guts that have had lots of issues.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
And they seem to be still welcome in parts of
the community.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
So I'm not throwing Riley under the bus for any
of that. So all that just said, I'm done holding
any potential stuff that Riley's done outside the house against him.
I'm still not a particular fan of his gameplay because
he really isn't doing anything right now. And part of
(09:50):
me was, what's the term schemed out by his potential
relationship with Cat, because I thought, this guy's not a
this guy's got lots of issues Cat, You don't I
want to get involved with this guy. And now I'm
kind of like, Okay, maybe he's just a simple country
guy with the that then I say country, I don't
mean that a guy who's a rodeo guy who's, you know,
(10:12):
got a genuine good heart. I don't know people say that,
and I can't vouch for that. He's said things in
the house that are misogynistic or whatever.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
But this is all to say that I'm kind of
resetting my stance on Riley to a certain extent. He's
still low on my list of people that I need
to see in the Big Brother House because he hasn't
done anything that's maybe going like, oh wow, he's really
fun to watch or he's really good, or he's really
playing the game. So for all those reasons of like whatever,
but for the other stuff that started at all, I
(10:41):
am taking a step back from all that. Okay, So
that was number two of my list of things to cover.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Number three. This is where I forget things.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
See someone asked about the fiends going down? Why are
the feeds down right now? What's going on? We talked
about this before. What goes on during the day of
the show, and there's all kinds of prep right, And
going back to my long, long time history with Big
Brother from back in the dark ages, the producers used
(11:14):
to come over there and say, hey, guys, we need
you to do this. Hey guys, we need you to
do this. And for some reason they don't like us
to hear production talk to them anymore, and so we
don't get to hear production. I think we got to
hear production a lot during Over the Top, especially during
the competitions and stuff.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
I don't know what they didn't.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
They very very seldom cut the feeds during Big Brother
over the Top. So that was the season where they
let us hear most of everything that was said, I think.
But going back to like I can't remember, Big Brother four,
Big Brother three, Big Brother two, they would come over
and talk to them, Hey, we need you to do this. Hey,
can you guys do and it was more of a
(11:54):
regular voice talking to them, not a pre recorded you know,
please raise the autings in the back, please put down.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
That's a different thing.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
I'm talking about, just an actual producer or or assistant
or whatever coming over and talking to them.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
That used to we used to hear that more.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
But now when they whenever they come on to talk,
they cut the feeds, so we do not hear them
talk unless there's a mistake and they and they forget
to cut the feeds. Most of the time the feeds
are cut. But today they're doing all kinds of stuff
to prepare.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
For the show. They are cleaning the house.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
They get locked away and they had a household room
while the while the staff comes in and fix this things, clean,
does a few things, maybe check some lighting, does this
and that. Dingo calls it tech rehearsal. So they do
all that and then they bring it back and then
they we see them for a little bit and then
they cut them again, like they're cut right now the feed.
The show isn't for two more hours, and yet we
(12:47):
probably will not see the house guests again until after
the show.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
So what's going on that we can't see it?
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Well, first of all, I'm gonna speculate, and I you
know what to leave about this.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
I didn't ask any I should have asked some of the.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
House guests, the former alumni, but I saw them in
New York and just like, hey, you can tell me,
just between you and me what happens. I won't use
your name, and I would, but I never asked any
of them.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
So I may.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
I may if I go back again next year, I
may make a point to poke a couple of them
and just say, look, I'll never use your name and
I'll never say I heard it from you. Just tell
me what the hell happens when the cameras are down,
What are you guys doing for those last two hours?
And just just to get done. I'm sure if I
messaged a couple of them, they would tell me. I
just don't want to bother them, and it's easier in
a conversation, you know, at a show. So we'll see
(13:34):
if I remember to do this if I go back
next year.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Hmm.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Which reminds me of the fourth thing I was gonna
talk about. So that's what's going on. I maybe they
even get to hear music, like they get to play
in the morning. They just gonna kind of relax, cool down.
They might be potentially doing a mini you know, some
some dress rehearsals too, you know, like let's do some
stuff to get ready. I would have said back in
(13:59):
the day they get to go try out competitions, but
at this point they don't do the competitions right. They
don't do the comps right after the show, so there's
no need to do a rehearsal. They can, you know,
they can go out and try them out after the
show before we get our feeds back. So that's one
of the reasons the feeds are down more and go
(14:20):
down for quite a while before the before the show starts.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Is it a what is the Coday's competition? We don't know.
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
People are rumored and thinking that it's an endurance competition,
but we haven't heard anything, so I have no clue.
And even if it is an endurance competition, and when
we get to watch it, because they have done endurance,
well we would call endurance competitions, and we don't get
to see them like we have not.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
We've seen the wall.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
The wall, maybe the one endurance competition and maybe the
slipping slide fill a jug thing. Maybe those are two
and what I would call endurance competitions that we've gotten
to see lately we we I think it. One point
we got to see the balance being where they go
on the seesaw balance beam where they had to stack
balls and them. We used to get to see that too,
I thought, But they stopped letting us see that.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
So I'm not sure.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
If it's an endurance competition, don't have a clue, don't
particularly care it is what it is.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
We'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
I will people thinking that maybe it might be a
pressure cooker, but I think I said that this morning.
If it is, I would thought they would have let
us know to keep people a heads up, because that's
a that's a long one. Yeah, I think I saw
that at the end of this morning's podcast. All right,
So what else to talk about in my time here?
One other thing and then I'll see if I'm inspired
(15:40):
to talk about anything else.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
But I'm already fifteen minutes.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
I'm already longer than this morning's podcast. I had and
I told my friend John about this, about this this morning,
so I had my first big brother dream of the season.
So the question to you, those of you that know
what I'm talking about, those of you that are quite
the live feed watchers, have you had your Big Brother
(16:04):
dream yet I may I'll probably ask this on a
blue sky tonight as a filler while we wait for
the show.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
What I mean is.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
And for because there will be somebody that don't want
to don't know what I'm talking about, but you would.
You know, when you ever do something that you've been
doing repetitive or you've done so much of in a
concentrated amount of time, suddenly you start dreaming about it, right.
And my best example of that other than Big Brother,
would be something called detasseling. So if we go back
(16:35):
to my days, my my my early teens, on my
mid teens too because I was a crew leader, but
we would do something here in the Midwest called detasseling.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
It is a process of.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Removing the tassels from corn as a part of uh
seed corn. You you as a part of the genetics
is a part of as part of a genetically modifying
corn because that's what they do. They they they cross
pollinate corn, and they use two different varieties of corn,
multiple different rub but they do this, they they and
(17:08):
they do it by planting a male row and.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
A female row.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
There's a biology for you and as a detassel or
as a kid, we would walk down rows of corn
and pull the tassels, the top part of the of
the corn, off the corn so that it would not
get the pollen from its own.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Stock, and it would instead get pollen.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
From a different species of corn, a different species, is
that right, species, species whatever, whatever, different a different corn,
different type of corn. It would get the pollen from that.
So you would cross pollinate and your corn will be
a combination of those those two types of corn that
we're growing. So point is, this is a problem. This
(17:55):
is the thing that usually happens for roughly two weeks
during the summer. And as as a kid, we would
get we would go do this and you would get
picked up at like five in the morning on a bus,
get driven out in the middle of nowhere where I
now live. Actually, I now live in the shadow of
a building that I used to visit as a kid
where I would do tassels. So there's all kinds of
(18:17):
seed corn around me. And we would go out to
these fields and you would literally spend eight hours a day,
nine hours a day whatever it was, walking up and
down fields of corn and pulling tassels out of the corn.
And you would do that all day, or every once
in a while if we were lucky, we'd get to
ride on a machine and sit in a bucket or
(18:39):
stand in a bucket so that we didn't have to
reach up, and we would be bent over and reaching
down and pull the tassels. So you would do this,
and by the third or four day, I'm falling asleep
and I am dreaming about rows of corn, just passels
and rows of corn. Right, So much like that when
(19:01):
Big Brother season kicks around in the past, I would,
after a few weeks and watching the feeds for hours
on end, I would suddenly be having a dream where
I am in the Big Brother House, I am playing
Big Brother, I am a part of the show. And
I would have these dreams and I probably will again.
(19:23):
And I'm thinking to myself in my dreams, it's like
I'm in the show, I'm playing this. Oh my god.
And I'd be like, wait, am I really isn't I dreaming?
It's that whole process where you're unsure but you're dreaming. Well,
this year my brain decided to mix decided to mix
things up. So this year, instead of dreaming so far again,
(19:47):
it very well probably will happen sometime in the next
month if you were, I'll have a dream that I
remember where I'm where I'm.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
In the Big Brother House. It's just very surreal.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
When I wake up from I kind of doubt myself
with like, wait, I've never been on a Big Brother No, no,
you haven't.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
That was a dream. Okay. That's part of the.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
Wake up process, right, where you try to talk yourself
out of the fact that you were dreaming, or talking yourself.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Into the fact that you were dreaming.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
So, I, uh, last night, I had a dream and
instead of being in the Big Brother House, I was
at a Big Brother viewing party with Big Brother alumni.
I cannot remember any alumni were there, but I know
(20:32):
they were there. I know I was at a Basically,
it's coming probably from the fact that I've been to
the premiere a couple of premiere parties now, right, So
I've been at a party and mingled with some Big
Brother alumni and I and I had a dream where
I was. There was TV screens on the wall, there
was chairs in the room. I want to say it
(20:53):
was a party, but it almost felt like a viewing
room and not a bar. But you know what I mean,
it was just one of those, and in the of
having this dream. In the process of this dream, I
was telling someone at this party that I had been
to the previous year's finale party, that I had just
happened to be driving by and saw the party and
ran in to check it out.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
This is all I can remember.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
So I'm curious, and I'm going to ask them on
Blue Sky later how many people have already started having
big brother dreams this year, because I know I'm not
the only one, and I want I need some company.
I need some people to tell me their big brother dreams.
So I will be talking about this on Blue Sky
later today, and that, folks, is the end of my
(21:39):
big brother talk, because I've been going for where are
we at? We're probably approaching twenty minutes. We are at
twenty almost twenty two minutes, and the show is on
in two hours. So by the time I get this
posted for some of you, you'll be listening to it
very close to showtime, if you you know, if I'm
not after showtime.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
But that's it. That's what we got. I hope you
have a great Thursday night.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
We'll see who is that household, and I will talk
to you guys tomorrow and again I need to do it.
I need to do a shout out to all my patrons.
My last one was Jen. My last newest patron was Jen.
I appreciate all of you, though, and I'm gonna give
you all individuals shout outs in the next few days.
It's just a matter of me getting my list, checking
(22:27):
it twice and all that good stuff.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
And giving or going a shout out.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
If you buy chance, want to be a patron, want
to support me more than just by listening to this
or listening to commercials at the ends at the end,
on the ends at the end, you can go to
patreon dot com, slash, bb G, o ssip, sign up
to be a patron and cancel anytime you want. But
(22:52):
you know, if you want to do that, that would
be cool. I'd appreciate it. I will give you a
shout out and you will be my favorite fans. And
that's about it. There's also another option to do, like
a koffee donation, but I've only had one person ever
do that, and they.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Donated for a while and then they stopped.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
But I've left the kofee thing up. You can get
through it through my bio on Blue sky. There's a
link to my link stage and that koffee thing is
buried on there. But I do have one other thing
to say, and I have no idea if this person
will hear it. But every time I get off of
these things, I think I need to give a shout out.
Now this is the embarrassing part because I'm gonna say
(23:33):
your name wrong, but in my brain, your name is Sarah.
So Sarah if you are listening, and there's presumably more
than one Sarah, but this is the Sarah that I
met last at the first night of the two night
premiere party. She came up and talked to me, and
I want to say your name was Sarah, and if
(23:54):
I got it wrong, just consider yourself lucky. I'm messing
your name up like I do everybody else's. But you
came up and you talked to me. You said you've
been listening to me for years, and I thanked you,
and it was good talking to you, and I appreciated it,
and I wanted to give you a special shout out
just because not as many people came up to me
this year at the things and talk to me, but
you were one of the people that hadn't be in
(24:15):
previous year or so. I wanted to thank you for
coming because I do appreciate that, and it's always a
cool thing when somebody comes up and says, I listen
to you and I'm a fan, So thank you, Sarah.
I hope you hear this. Who knows Sarah im only
listen once every three weeks or something, and she'll never
hear it. But it's out there now. And now with
that at the twenty almost twenty five minute mark, I'm
(24:38):
going to sign off. Have a great Thursday night, and
we will talk to you guys for sure tomorrow with
hopefully a new head of household. We'll see though, all right,
take care everybody, Goodbye,
