ARON BOKS wurde 1997 in Wernigerode geboren und lebt als Autor, Slam Poet und Moderator in Berlin-Charlottenburg. 2019 erhielt er den Klopstock-Förderpreis für Neue Literatur. Seit 2021 schreibt er vor allem für die taz und die taz.FUTURZWEI-Kolumne »Stimme meiner Generation«. 2023 erschien sein Buch »Nackt in die DDR«, in dem er sich auf die Lebensspuren seines Urgroßonkels, dem Künstler und Funktionär Willi Sitte begibt. Das Buch fand großes Medienecho. Aron Boks selbst hat die DDR nie erlebt. Die Recherche und Arbeit am Buch bedeuteten für ihn auch den Zugang in die verstärkte Auseinandersetzung mit der deutsch-deutschen Geschichte und ihrer Bedeutung für die Gegenwart und mündete in seinem neuen Buch "Starkstromzeit". Neben seiner Schreibtätigkeit moderiert Boks zu diesem Thema Literatur- und Gesprächsveranstaltungen mit Nachwendekindern aus Ost- und Westdeutschland.

The Brothers Ortiz
The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways. Gabe Ortiz becomes a third-highest ranking officer in all of Texas while his younger brother Larry climbs the ranks in Puro Tango Blast, a notorious Texas Prison gang.
