guest today is Kowanda Lamb, the winning single mom. She
teaches single mothers to win. She's an educator and entrepreneur.
She runs Spanish for businesses and Spanish for Black Girls,

Thank you for being here. I mean, it's always fun,
like just talking to you because you're just like very
real and you just get into it, so it's fun.
Where are you? And I know last time you were
on vacation somewhere but still working. You were I think
in Costa Rica. I'm not even sure where you were.
I want to know where you are.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
When we connected, I was implying, and then a couple
of days later I hoped to San Jose. So yes, yes, yes,
always a little vacation and little work all in one.
So right now I'm home in mckinnia, Texas, and I'm
actually going to Mexico again next week. So you know,
as I build out this brand, I think it's important,

(01:08):
you know, for people to see me actually speaking Spanish
out and about in the world. And I'm also a
vacation since I'm still an educator throughout the year. And
I'm really looking at, you know, going full time in
the business and what that looks like for me. But
you know, I've been a high school Spanish teacher for
sixteen years now, you know, and I run my businesses,

the mom blog and the Spanish brand, you know, all
in my spare time and on the weekends. And it's
getting to the point where I'm grateful that, you know,
more adults are wanting me to help them learn, and
you know, just God has been blessing and so I listen,
I think I want to be an expat. So that's

what's up with me. How have you been, you.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Know the same? I think, you know, work business kids.
How are your kids? I haven't even asked, My Goodness.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Says, remember when we met years ago, we all had chieki,
I had littles, right, So my boys are now nineteen
and twenty one, which is why I'm entertaining this, you know,
getting in these international streets. You know, when they were
about ten, I wanted to move to Spain and then
I got all sad because I was like, they're not

(02:23):
going to have prom or football, you know, and so
they had football. They've done their thing here in the US.
They love it, They've enjoyed their years. And neither one
of my boys went to prom. I was like, but
I didn't move to Spain so you could have prom.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
I'm like, the pandemic, right, that's why, or just because.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Oh no, years ago, years ago. It's just well, so yeah,
it was a pandemic for the youngest one, but they
were both they later on here because you know, it's
Texas and they'd be doing a whole bunch of stuff,
you know that they shouldn't be doing. Honey bees. These
mamas made sure their kids had proms down here. It
was delayed, but not denied, and so he had the opportunity.

(03:07):
And they just were like, mah, you know this this
new generation isn't into things like we were.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
I've noticed, you know, I have a fifteen and a
nineteen year old, so yeah, I understand completely.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
So how is a fifteen year old boy or girl?

Speaker 1 (03:23):
I have all boys?

Speaker 2 (03:24):
I think just like you was just like me, okay, yeah,
I don't know why. I was like, you were blessed
with the daughter somewhere in there.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
I have a granddaughter. I have a granddaughter. So yeah,
life is not always how you plan it.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
So, like you say, man, let me tell you something.
I every time I'd be like, it's a girl. It's
a girl. Is it a girl? And they'd be like
a boy, and I'd be like, you know, and then
of course the baby comes and you're like, I'm so
passionately in love with my little boys.

Yes.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
So, but that's where we are, and I'm excited about this,
these new options and opportunities, and I'm so glad to
see you out here killing it in these streets. I
know you are the social media queen.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
I was telling somebody, I'm like, oh, I come here
to make these videos or audios just to get complimented.
But it's just a joke because I'm like, oh, I
don't even know what to say, but thank you. I
appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Know, welcome. I love it. I love it. I've got
to get back to Miami. I know that.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yes, And now that we're doing back, we're back to
in person events. I'm like excited because you know we
can get I know you said you were before we
got on the air, you said you were creating some
courses online courses for people.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
I know you have a book.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I haven't even asked you, like, you know, for the
audience to tell us what you know what you do?
I know you do all the Spanish teaching. You know
you said mentioned that, but you'll have so much going on.
You're like, are you still the single mom preneur?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah? So the winning single mom? Yes? Yes, And I'm
still very much a single mom preneur. Right. So so
twenty thirteen, I started a blog called the Do It
Anyway Blog. The first for like a few seconds, it
was called single Parenting is Hard, and then I changed
it to the do It Anyway Blog, which eventually became
kewandalamb dot com. Right, and so over there is where

(05:15):
I have for eight years and purage ignited empowered single
mothers all over the world. And my moniker is the
winning single mom because I help you make more money,
manage motherhood, and win it life. And that has been
out of passion and purpose and just pure love. Because
when I was raising my boys as an educator, people
would just come up and ask. They'd be like, Uh,

(05:38):
you're a single mom. What on earth? How are your
kids so well behaved? And I'd be like listen, hen
I'm not over here working hard raising kids for them
to run me. You know. Of course I said it
more politely than that, but I started to realize there
were so many people who were struggling and they needed
help to you know, balance themselves, life, single parenting, all

(05:58):
the stuff. And so I started blogging about, you know,
just our ups and downs of the journey and some
tips on how to you know, strategically balance your life
and and go get your dreams while raising your babies.
And you know, I hope I've been able to get
an example of people. And so I wrote a book
called Do It Anyway, The Single Mom's Guide to Living
Life and Achieving her Goals. That book is my bestseller.

(06:20):
It was definitely, you know, a bestseller on Amazon, and
I'm actually republishing it this year in a second edition
with lots of updated material and still some of the
same old goodness. It's it's it's absolutely freaking amazing. And
I think that we're so busy sometimes the's single mothers
that we don't sit down to, you know, find and

(06:42):
use the resources that are right in front of us.
But that book, right there, is like coaching in a
book in its life, you know what I mean. So
when women read it, they write me just these long
pages of just how it blessed them. So yeah, I've
written two books and I've created a planner for single mothers.
And all the while that I was a single mom,
I was a high school Spanish teacher. And when people

(07:03):
found out like that I wasn't the winning single mom
all day, they were like, what do you do all day?
I was like, I teach people Spanish and they were like,
can you teach me Spanish? So that's kind of how
the business was born. In twenty fifteen. I gave it
a world and I just kept giving it a whirl.
And I decided, because I was out here working with
entrepreneurs all the time and connecting with people like you,

(07:26):
that I would create a brand that taught people no
matter what their niche was or niche. How have y'all saying,
I've been around a long time. We just said niche
all my life. But I'll give y'all niche. I'll let
y'all have it, okay, o fonse And I was like, Okay,
if we're going to learn Spanish, we need to learn
the Spanish that we need. Why I learn stuff you're

(07:48):
not going to use, you know. So I figured out
how to kind of tailor that to different industries. And
last year in the pandemic, I had actually stepped out
of education for a year, and when the pandemic happened,
I was like, Oh, we hold up, hold up, so listen,
are we gonna be able to do this? So I
ended up going back into education, and I really wish
i'd kind of stayed out. Although I love my job,

(08:09):
I love kids, I love my team and everybody that
I work with. I was able to really be free
and help people and it was just the most life
changing experience and so that's why I'm hungry for it again.
But it takes planning, it takes practice, and this is
you know, one of the things I teach single moms

(08:31):
is you know, when our heart wants to do it,
that's great, but we got to make sure it makes
sense and it lines up and lines out. And so anyway,
long story short, those are the two areas that I
focus on. I'm really big in my faith and so
a lot of times you'll catch me dropping a lot
of wisdom and motivation on social media, on my Twitter
and places like that. I have a podcast as well,

(08:52):
called The Winning Single Mom that I started last year,
and it's all about me interviewing experience business owners about
you know, their business, their industries, their niches, asking them
really good questions so that single moms who are thinking
about starting their own business can get some wisdom and
advice and talking to you today. You need to be

Hell yo, hi, yes I'm available.

Okay, so I'm done talking about me. But you know
that was it was how to conce that.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
No, we're here to talk about you. So this is great,
and I wanted to just touch on that. I hear
a lot from people that they are working, you know,
and have a business and that is winning either way,
you know mm because to me.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Okay, so here's the deal, Like when you have kids.
You know, my boys are older now, and sure I
can you know, they can go into the market and
get their own health insurance and you know, I really
don't have to be the one that provides for that,
but that's something I kind of you know, they're they're
still young. I'm helping them get on their feed. My
oldest is an entrepreneur. Now. He was very brilliant and
very good at athletics, and I wanted him to go

(09:58):
to college and thought he would. He decided not to.
Now the youngest is kind of in that vein, and
I'm like, oh, this is not why I stay in
the US and work so hard. You people are supposed
to go to college, live on campus. I'm supposed to
be in the streets now, you know, entrepreneur. So you
know it's it's it's I tell them, We've got to

(10:20):
have that plan. So you know, part of the reason
that I, you know, I've kept a full time job
is you know, for that insurance, that security, that safety net.
And then, like I said, though, sometimes we do have
to bet on ourselves. But since I'm really big on
my faith, I'm like, I need to make moves when
God tells me, hey, this is time, you know, when
my spirit is like, this is it. You know, this

(10:41):
is the time you walk away from this, this is
how you do it or whatever. And so because you
have to as an entrepreneur, and you know this, when
you work for yourself, if you do not kill it,
you do not eat, Okay, to gather or whatever. Right,
So we have to balance all the jobs. So I
think about when I worked in corporate. But the reason
why all this works for me so easily, by the way,

(11:03):
is I worked in corporate for six years before I
became an educator, and so I understand. I have a
business degree, I understand how you know business works, you know,
and but when I got into business for myself, I
didn't want to do anything the way that I sell.
Corporations do it and I was just so against it.
And now here I am doing everything the corporations do.
I'm my project manager, you know, I am the product owner.

(11:27):
I'm the I'm the curriculum designer. You know, I'm the trainer,
I'm the every I'm hr you know what I'm saying,
I'm the workforce. I want people to be clear when
they hop into entrepreneurship that you know when you see
your friends who are entrepreneurs. And for those of you
who are listening who don't understand, while we're always working,

(11:47):
we're always working because those things need to be done.
But what we have to learn how to do is
how to delegate and bring on team. And Carla, I'm
embarrassed to say this, but this is my first year
where I've hired as many people like this year, I
brought on like four or five contractors. I've always had
a virtual assistant for the last few years. This year,
I've brought out another virtual assistant. I have a personal assistant,

(12:10):
I have a web guy, and I'm bringing on like
a writer. And I'm not even ashamed to say it,
because I've written like three hundred blog posts over at
kiwandalam dot com. Yes, I can write a book in
the weekend. That's another brand that I started. Write your
first book in the weekend, you know. That's my little
mini brand that I don't talk a lot about. I
just run ads on social media, you know. But even

(12:32):
though I can do all those things, what I'm learning
is that it's not good for us to do all
those things. We can get further faster if we build
a team. And as we were getting ready for this podcast,
I see you have a team.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Okay, I'm like, no, yeah, I need the help. Like
I'm not great everything, you know. And this year I've
kind of spent a lot of time just finding out
where all my faults are. And instead of just like
sinking and just sitting there and sullking, oh man, I'm this,
I'm like, well, that person's good at it. I need
to talk to that person, you know. So it's been

(13:05):
a whole change this year. And I agree one hundred
percent with you, sister, that everything you say is true.
And that's why I like to keep connected with you,
you know, because I know we're like on the same page.
And I've talked to so many entrepreneurs who think that
it's like an overnight thing and if they're failing, maybe
for a week or something's going wrong, they give up

(13:27):
or you know. So I love that you share your
personal experience and tell it from the truth rather than
like trying to be a salesperson and promising people like, hey,
tomorrow you're going to be a millionaire, because it doesn't
happen that way. And we know that from all the
hard work.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Now I can see it, I can plot the path,
I can see it coming, you know, yes, But I'm
just not I'm no longer willing to burn the candle
at both ends, although I have been up you know
head some two o'clock mornings and all that, you know,
when the summer times we go all in on our business.
But I've come to realize that you really just don't
have to do that, and we do so much creating

(14:05):
sometimes and having our head down that we haven't even
told people about our offer, about our thing, about how
we can help them. So one of the things that
I would tell those entrepreneurs who want to give up
is make sure that you're telling people about your thing
that you do and how you solve their problems, and
that you get real clear on who that person is.
Right over the years, I've had to get really clear,
Like literally my single mother Avatar. I've changed probably at

(14:29):
least No. Lie twenty five times and literally myself sitting
down writing down who she is. And because when I
first started, I wanted to help every single mom, and
then I realized, wow, I really can't help the single
mom that's you know, just just became a single mom
in her mindset hasn't shifted to where she understands she
needs somebody and she's willing to invest in a few

(14:49):
products and resources, you know what I mean. So you know,
if she's become a single mother and she needs to
and she needs to live in a shelter, since go
do that, Go go through that process, go through that thing,
or she needs to You get what I'm saying. I'm
not trying to be under you're rude, I'm saying. And
she has those challenges that she has to deal with.
So she's got to come through that season to where Now. Okay,

(15:10):
so I've gotten I've gotten on my feet, I have
I have, you know, a job, my kids, and now
we have shelter. I'm feeling good about these things. Okay.
Now let me deal with the hurt. Now, let me
deal with the broken heart. Now, let me deal with
oh my god, how do I parent them by myself?
Now you've overcome some hurdles and you're in a space
of where you have the mental capacity to hear what

(15:30):
it is I'm trying to say to you. You know
what I mean. Now, please please start at my blog.
Please come read, Please come get inspired, please come get ignited. Right,
but it's not it's not the time for you to
invest in yourself to work with me. Then when you
invest buy a book, right, you know, by a small
course or something. And and then by the time when
people come to work with me, I'm helping them build businesses,

(15:53):
you know what I mean. Like, I don't even promote
this a lot, and and only when people ask me.
But I have to women that I've helped to build
their brands like from scratch, like who they are, their
their websites, you know, their social media, everything right, And
this is why my stuff is often like the last
time I posted, was I understand more team? Right? Yes?

(16:16):
So again constantly promoting. But the point to my story
is there are levels. Our clients have levels, and so
that person who wants to give up you need to
look to see what level your client is on. My
preferred client makes you know, fifty seventy five thousand and
six figures a year as a single mother. She's she's
gone through, you know, most of her healing process. She's

(16:39):
read my books, and she's like, boom bag, am I
feeling good? Let me go to my therapist. I need
to have to want to coaching life coaching in this area.
Let's go get to this money. Okay. Let's let me
talk to her about how I'm doing my finances. Let
me grab her you know, her bundles that's going to
help me get my money together. Let me talk about like,
you know, hey, should I work with her to build
a brand on the side, Because one thing I've realized,

(17:01):
especially as an educator, you know, y'all know, we don't
make the money, right, But I have been very self
sacrificial in my business over the years. Like I didn't
always charge people, but I always gave people their lives.
I always help them get transformation. And I want anybody
that's listening to me out there to not do that.
Businesses are in business to make money. I spent a

(17:21):
lot of years because I don't have a coaching certification.
But guess what I got, y'all. I got a bachelor's
in business. I have a bachelor's in Spanish. I have
a master's in Spanish. I have almost a master's in
teacher leadership. I'm like two classes shy of that, and
I stopped it because I was like, hold up, this
is the same as my principal certification. I'm a certified principal. Guys.

(17:43):
You know what we do is teachers all day and principles.
I know what we do. We counsel people, okay, we
life coach people. We do. We coach parents, we coach teachers,
we coach everybody around us. Right, I've never served as
a principal, but I have the skills and the ability
to which is why I'm running my online language school.
Makes sense, right, Yes, And so you know. I say

(18:05):
this to say, sometimes imposter syndrome makes us think we
need more certifications, more this, and more that, when all
along I've been helping people transform their lives. Does that
make sense? So stop thinking about going to get this
and going to get that, and always you know, creating
something and tell people about the thing that you offer

(18:27):
that it's going to change their lives. And that's the
end of our interview right there, because that will.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Yes, I know, I'm telling you that's what I've learned.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
That's what I've learned. Tell people about your things, show
up to you.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
No, No, this is very good and very important information
you're sharing. Especially when you talked about single moms and
the steps that it takes, that was like super amazing
because it's true. You can't be ready for the level
that you know to get to you if you're not
already secure and you already have your kids under a
roof and you have all your centrals. You can be

(19:01):
ready for a business without that. And I was like amazing,
you know, like I love that you said that so much.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
I mean, girl, I mean. And then there are there
are stories. There are stories where people will be like, oh,
I built this, you know, when you're when you're at
that point of hunger and you're at that point of desire,
and you're at that point of desperation, there are some
people who can who can build something overnight. Now, you know.
I saw this guy, Billy Jean, He's a marketer. He
was like, I'm gonna sell everything I have in this

(19:31):
current brand. I'm gonna start over from scratchman and show
you guys how I did it. You know, Yeah, well
he can do that because he's already done it before. Right.
He knows the steps, he knows the processes, he's already
got that audience is going to be looking to figure
out who he is, what's he doing, How's he going
to do this again? Right? I've been through a lot
of things in my life. I've got a lot of education,
a lot of knowledge. I've been to a lot of trainings, conferences,

(19:53):
all those things, just like you have. So you and
I have a different level of information that we can
look and do something a little bit faster, a whole
lot easier than somebody else. But you know what it took,
what it took, and so I don't want anybody to
skip the process where they're gonna where life is trying
to teach them something. But I want you to get

(20:13):
the help. Then, I want you to seek how you
can change your life, how you can change your baby's lives.
And that mom who's sitting there in a shelter, she
might not have to spend, you know, a year in
a shelter, She may only have to be there five
days before she realizes that, Oh, I already have the
skills that I need to change my life. Yeah, I
lost my job, Yes, this crap happened. Yes my exit this.

(20:36):
Yes we're over here for just a season. But now
let me start looking to see what other resources are available,
what other transitional housing is out there? What other education
can I be getting online and certifications? Or how can
I use the ones that I already have? How can
I turn the cell phone on and create a website
on my cell phone? Okay? How can I turn the
cell phone on and get a free payment processor or

(20:59):
you know, look for like free services that I can
start using to build my brand? And how can I
look at the cell phone that but luckily I still have, okay,
and use it to change my life. I'm so serious,
I'm so serious. So is it possible absolutely, but it
takes us going through those levels. See how she had
to think through that. She had to think through that
because her scenario and her situation its causing her to

(21:22):
It's putting pressure on her to figure out how to
find a way right. And so literally, I just know
I love that. I'm telling you I'm trying to net Carla,
I'm trying to never be broke a day in my life.
Do you hear what I'm saying? With the skills and
experiences and everything that I have, and trust me, I've
been broke. I have been there, I've gone through it all.

(21:42):
This is why I talk to you know, mom's about it.
And I didn't like it, and it ticked me off
and it made me angry because I'm a good person
and I'm a hard worker, right, and so how did
I get here? How did I let this happen? We
got to look and we got to say, Okay, let
me says what did I do? What did I not do? Right?
Because sometimes we're not taking act and that's causing us
to go deeper, you know, down right? Yes, And so

(22:04):
when I'm working with moms, I'm able to listen to
them and my brain is just like how you know
how our body is working with synapses forming. When we're
learning new information, my brain starts just thinking, up, I'm
gonna take her from here to here. Okay, I see
what the problem is, all right. I can't wait to
give it a solution, right. And I can only do
that because I've been to hell and back and I

(22:26):
had to claw myself out of it, right, and then
working with other people and just kind of seeing you
know how to solve problems. And anyway, I feel like
I'm doing a lot of talking, But I hope it
just blessing your audience.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Yes, No, this has been definitely a blessing. I just
wanted to ask you. I didn't want to interrupt because
it was so good, but I just wanted to ask you.
Did you ever have like a mentor in your life
or people that helped you kind of pave your way
or you just kind of absolutely.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Says none of us. Like when people talk about overnight success,
it was probably one hundred people that helped them. Those
folks become an overnight success, right, they had to have
a team or somewhere, somebody somewhere, a friend. I will
tell you one of the things that I did early
on when I started blogging, was I started looking for
a community I started. I wasn't even necessarily just looking
for people that look like me, but I started my blog.

(23:15):
In twenty thirteen and twenty fourteen, I went to a
conference in DC that was hosted by Paul Brunston. He's
a really good friend of mine, really amazing mentor amazing
thought leader. If you guys look him up, you're like,
oh my gosh. You know, he's awesome. He's good people
and he was just starting out, you know, he had

(23:35):
been around in the matchmaker space, and he was, you know,
getting into entrepreneurship, and he started something called mentor Monday.
And I happened to find him on Twitter. And this
at this time, he had like small numbers, you know,
not a lot of people were tuning in. And I
watched this guy just continue to show up and be
consistent and what he would learn, he'd come back and

(23:56):
he'd shared with his tribe. So you know, I went
and I met him there and nineteen other people, and
most of us in that room, it was twenty entrepreneurs
in that room that day, Probably like seventeen of us
are still very tight. So I've been lucky to have
people that I can connect with through the years that
you know when they're like, oh you're working on this,
do this, you know, just amazing human beings. And you

(24:19):
know a friend that I met that day in that room,
Michelle Whitealbert, and she and I actually met that day.
She was very shy. I just can't believe I was shy.
She isn't then how much the boss she is, right.
And so when you talk about have I ever had
a mentor, you know, I've had amazing mentors and amazing
entrepreneur friends along the way. And this is all while

(24:41):
I was teaching during the day and then coming home
working on my business in the evenings, which still being
a parent taking care of what I had to do.
So in those times sometimes I didn't get as much sleep.
And guess what, when you're hungry and you're excited and
you're building something that's changing lines, you're like, oh, I'm
good on four hours, six hours, don't even know what
eight hours is. But let me tell you something. As

(25:04):
I've gotten older, I've slowed down, you know, and I
get more rest in. But I've also last thing I'll
tell you is I've invested a lot along the way.
I invested in branding on my websites, you know, thousands
of dollars when I got to that point. I've invested
in the masterminds, I've invested in memberships, things like that.

(25:25):
And so I will tell you that, you know, and
I've paid all these other people, and I've rarely, you know,
I've paid Paul a couple of times. It's just so funny.
He's been the most amazing mentor just the most amazing guy.
And so you can find people out there who are
at a certain level. If they're already at that level
financially and they got free time, then those kind of
people don't mind mentoring you. People like me either are

(25:47):
in the fire building and when somebody asked me to
mentor them, I'm like, cis in what life? If you
paid me, I got, I got time slots. You understand,
I got time available. I can. I'm gonna help you
killed it. But it's just it's just not feasible right
now when we're building, you know what I mean. So
I'm sure I'll be there in a couple of years

(26:07):
where I can, like mentor some people for free, But
for right now, honey, it's called coaching. So I've paid
for a lot of coaching. And I want to tell
anybody out there who's listening, who thinks that I can
get by on building a business on the free, you
you can get by doing it. And then at some
point you're going to have to invest in yourself and

(26:28):
invest in other people. And when you invest in other people,
you allow them to teach you more, share more with you,
You show them that you honor them in their time. Yes,
and you're paying everybody else. Y'all paying Louis Baton, y'all,
y'all playing Gucci, y'all out here paying FINDI, and y'all
paying Christian. I mean, come on now, and ain't none

(26:48):
of them giving y'all nothing back but a few looks. Okay,
take the same money and go get you a business
coach that's going to help you build a business that changes,
that changes your lines.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
All right, I listened, Bravo, love it, I love you.
This is so much fun. I feel like I'm just here, like, yeah,
I agree with everything she says. Everybody.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
I'm gonna be quiet.

break to build the Spanish brand and still you know,

the email list because you girls about to give you
some stuff to change your life. And the new book
is coming in Q four And also there's a single
mom Success Planner that I'm releasing right now. It's like
work with style, but I'm still excited to bring it
in binder style, all pretty and coiled and just to
help us get our lives together. So it's when I

(28:14):
started this blog in twenty thirteen, God literally told me
to do it. Like I woke up one day, it
was in my spirit. I was like, God, are you
telling me to start a blog? Boom, Yes, I'm telling
you to start a blog. I started that blog because
it was a divine nudge that wanted me to share
what I had learned as a mom with other moms
to help them along the way. And then with Spanish,
like I said, I could not turn left or right,

(28:36):
and people were like, teach me Spanish, teach me Spanish,
teach me Spanish. So my website that you can find
me for Spanish is at Spanish for small business dot com.
That's where I teach entrepreneurs and small business owners Spanish
for their business so you can connect with your customer
and increase your bottom line. And I'm currently building out
Spanish for Black Girls, which you know is another niche

(28:58):
brand that came to me this year that I'm super
passionate about. I'm pretty much doing in Spanish or Black
Girls what I do in Spanish for Small Business. But
it's a space for, you know, anybody who identifies as
a black woman, because typically we're so marginalized and looked
over in corporate and we don't always get in whatever
field we're in, and we don't always get the opportunities,

(29:22):
although we typically are right there doing a whole bunch
of the work. And I want to teach black women
to be bilingual so that they can expand their opportunities,
their horizons. They can get out here and travel, you know,
knowing that they understand the language, they can keep themselves safe,
they can build relationships with this beautiful Hispanic community that
I love. I have the most amazing friends around the

(29:43):
world and even in the US that I've met, and
I just love my people. And I'm just like, Okay,
I'm African American, but y'all can't tell me I'm not
like honorary Hispanic, because like literally, I just had the
most amazing good humans. I want everybody to have this
opportunity to communicate with folks. That's all every last human

(30:04):
being is trying to do is to be seen, to
be heard, to be known, to be loved, to be
able to communicate. And I want to give them that.
Yesterday can get to the bag. Yes they can get
up some levels, but also I hope that it gives
them the skill of just being able to be human
and human and see people for who they are. And
so Spanish black girls, I've already enrolled some ladies in

(30:26):
the program in a in abate A round and I'm
getting ready to launch the self paced course and it's
going to have community with it, it's going to have
me in it, and then opportunities to do emersion trips.
So we're about to lose.
