(00:00):
Hey everyone, Happy Sunday. Froma B third. This is Money Mindsetting
Strategy the podcast. So I wantedto jump on and share two things with
you that clients found really helpful thisweek. So I brought this up in
a few of my strategy sessions andcoaching sessions, and I wanted to share
it with you on the podcast aswell. This is a combination of of
(00:22):
course, you know, mindset coaching, business strategy, also some PR planning
and things like that as well.So let's just dive in. A lot
of people ask me about sales andsigning up high end clients, attracting things
like you know, brand partnerships, all of those great things that can not
only make you great money, butcan also really further the business as well.
(00:46):
And there tends to be feeling atthe moment, certainly within the online
space, where people say that they'refeeling quite pressured or you know, they
feel like everyone's doing the hard saleand they're not sure you know necessarily how
to navigate that space. I'm goingto be very blunt with you. I
don't suggest you work in that spaceat all. I've used this example for
(01:07):
many years now. Think of itlike the difference between being in a very
noisy, crowded room. Everyone's shouting, everyone's trying to get attention, everyone's
trying to impress each other. Iwant you to think about moving out of
that room into a much more elegantspace to have a more and more conversation
with your ideal client, with abrand partnership, with a sponsor, with
(01:30):
a journalist, with a stockist.I say, connect, don't convince.
Okay, I say that a lotin my coaching. I say it when
I'm talking to my team or whenI'm advising the mentoring clients on things like
brand strategy and they're planning. Youknow, if you try and convince people
to work with you, or convincepeople that you're great or that your product
(01:53):
or service or program is the bestof them, it just can come from
this place of feeling very competitive. It can also feel a little bit pushy,
and now more than ever, peoplejust don't like it. They don't
react well to it, they tendto back off, and it just also
feels kind of growth. Right,What does work is connecting? Okay,
Connecting is the ultimate high end brandstrategy. I was a publicist for over
(02:15):
ten years before I started my coachingbusiness, and I've been coaching people around
the world through one on one sessions, group programs, and in more recent
years, the podcast and my onlineacademy. Hands down the best strategy I've
ever done, it's podcasting, mediaand conversations. You know, I'm not
(02:36):
that busy on social media deliberately becauseI'm busy teaching classes and coaching people.
Right I teach three group coaching callsa week. I also have a lot
of one and one sessions and thingslike that. The reason I'm saying this
to you, don't feel any pressureto try and convince people on social media
to hire you or convince people toclick here and book. Now. What
(02:58):
you want to focus on instead, connection and how you build that connection is
by sharing what you know and sharinghow you can help people, but by
talking to them and with them, not at them. So absolutely, the
number one strategy I would recommend atthe moment for really doing that is starting
and running your own podcast for yourself, to your brand or of course your
(03:21):
business as well. It's going towork amazing magic in your businesses in a
number of ways. Right One isit creates a brand asset. It creates
an asset of episodes where you shareyour expertise, your knowledge. It also
gives you positioning, so people whoare interviewing you will mention your podcast,
or people may want to be interviewedon your show. It can also do
(03:44):
amazing things for your sales, yourincome, your sign ups as well.
And it can also be great foryour B to B marketing. I've seen
this time and time again in myown business, and of course also my
clients and customers as well. Oneother piece I'll say, and this is
something going to be teaching in anupcoming course. One of the reasons that
podcasting is so effective is most othersocial media platforms are scroll based, Right.
(04:09):
You've got on Instagram, You've goton tiptok, definitely Facebook. You're
scrolling. You're not really looking verymuch at the content in a deeper or
more engaged way. Right, Likemaybe people will click like on a post,
they're not really reading it, they'recertainly not taking action on it.
With things like a podcast, youknow, people aren't scrolling through multiple podcast
(04:29):
episodes. They're listening to They're engagingwith you, Okay, They're also getting
to know you, your voice, your tone, your business model, all
those great things. I very regularlywill get people joining a program or booking
private coaching. He'll say, I'vebeen listening to you for months or sometimes
years, or sometimes just a fewdays. People will often find the podcast,
(04:49):
they'll binge a few episodes, andthen they'll join a program. So
it's really about focusing on connection ratherthan convincing. I call it the difference
between like pull marketing and push.If you're like posting loads on social media,
they're trying to push out loads ofoffers and convince people. It can
feel kind of draining and it reallydoesn't work for most personality types. Poll
(05:12):
marketing, on the other hand,it's all about building that connection, really
building that relationship and getting it toa place where clients feel comfortable talking to
you. They don't feel like they'rebeing sold to or convinced or pushed.
It's quite the opposite. They getinto a call with you, or they
have a coffee with you or ameeting, and they've been listening to your
show for a while, so theyalready know you. They know the story
(05:33):
that you've been telling and the journeyyou've been on, and they're ready to
take that next step and create whatI call a mutually beneficial business relationship.
So I'm going to wrap this episodeup fairly quickly, but I want to
talk to you about a special offerI've got and also give you some mindset
points as well. So first thespecial offer and starting another life round of
(05:56):
monetize your podcast this Wednesday, SuperExcited. It's going to be a six
week training program led by me whereyou get a session a week of course
on everything from setting yourself up forsuccess with your podcasts, planning great content,
marketing your podcasts like a pro, monetizing it, and creating business and
income from it, plus tons ofbehind the scenes tips. You also get
(06:20):
lots of resources. I share thetech pieces that I use, I share
how I create my plans. I'llalso give you lots of behind the scenes
examples of things like how I planmy marketing, how I plan great content.
But more than that, you alsoget, depending on the session that
the package that you've kept, youget a session with me as well.
(06:41):
I've been running two successful podcasts aspart of my business for over four years
now, so if you'd like aone or one session with me to go
over you know, the practical piecesor some planning or some coaching or strategy
on your podcast and how you canuse it in your business. You're going
to be able to get that aswell if you've been sent if you're an
existing client and you've been sent ourpayment plan options and our special pricing,
(07:05):
they're valid until tonight. So mostof you who've already joined, of course
you've done so on the early birdspecial, which is great, really excited
to have you on with us.If you're one of the people who's thinking
about it, the special offer isvalid until tonight, so do reach out.
I'm always available to help whenever Ican, or my assistant will do
(07:26):
that as well. But you canjoin either using a payment plan so it's
nice and easy, or you cantake advantage of of course the discount as
well after today, so from Mondayonwards the price goes back up to the
normal price. There still has paymentplans, but the price does go up
by twenty percent, so if youdo want to save that money and of
course take the training and start usingit, you can do that. One
(07:49):
of the things I often designed withmy programs is I design the programs to
work with you on your schedule ina way that works for you. So
if you can't tend Life. Whatyou can do is join the program,
get access to the recordings and thetemplates, and then either go through yourself
later on with your team, oryou can of course take advantage of the
(08:11):
accountability check ins, the email nudges, and if you book the package with
private coaching, you can also useyour session or sessions with me to go
over things like implementing and planning andof course taking action as well. So
do reach out if you have anyquestions, but I end of it,
give you a friendly nudge and sayif you're on the fence, think about
it. But the special pricing doesexpire it tonight and then on Monday.
(08:35):
Obviously I'll be including it in mynewsletter and more of a general marketing piece
as well. Now it's a mindsetfor you. I want you to think
about how you can implement this inyour business moving forward. So we've talked
about connection rather than convincing. Howcan you sort of pull back a little
bit on the convincing and start toembrace more of the connection. So things
(08:58):
like one or one conversations, coffeebeatings, maybe going for supper if that's
appropriate, starting your podcast. Youknow it's not necessarily about longer Facebook posts
or longer social media posts where you'retrying to be vulnerable and tell a story
which seems to be to me veryobvious, but you know what people are
(09:18):
doing with that one. What Imean is more creating that conversation with your
ideal clients, stepping out of thatnoisy space, out of that pushing and
convincing mode, and focusing much moreon connection, reaching out to people,
inviting them to a meeting or apresentation, but most importantly focusing on that
long term connection, because that's reallywhat's going to make the difference with not
(09:41):
only how much money you're making, but also the kinds of clients that you
work with as well. I'm goingto sign off now as I have lunch
with a friend at the beach, but I'll be back on tomorrow for another
episode, and I'm also teaching amoney mindset class at seven pm London time
eight pm and third form at theMess Academy. Drop me an email if
you've got any questions or feel freeto reach out personally, just a reminder.
(10:05):
If you've been sent links, ifyou've been sent options for the payment
plans, you can join using thelinks, or you can of course,
or reach out if you have anyquestions, but that pricing is valid until
midnight to night UK time. Havea fabulous Sunday everyone,
