I'm going to share with you twowords that made the biggest difference to my
life and my coaching business, andthey're going to help you get pretty fabulous
results with nearly anything that you're workingon, right in terms of how much
money you're making, growing your business, you know, upgrading your brand,

podcast to learn. But before Itell you what these two words were,
I'm going to tell you a littlebit of backstory and then we'll go into
it. So I started this podcastabout four years ago. I think it's
four years next month or the monthafter, And honestly, it's one of
the best things I've ever done professionallyand personally right for my income, my

business growth, my sales, thekinds of clients that I work with,
the opportunities I get, but alsopersonally right, it's very fulfilling to me.
I really enjoy it. I alsoget lovely messages from people around the
world who share really lovely things withme about how the episodes have helped them
or how they're implementing things things likethat. Tonight, I'm also going to

be launching class one of Monetize yourpodcast. Right, So we've got amazing
people from around the world on thisprogram that I'm going to be leading,
and I'm going to be coaching andmentoring and training on how to set yourself
up for success with your podcast.And then over the next few weeks,
I'm going to be sharing things likehow to plan great content, how to

market your podcast, how to useyour podcasts as a business asset, how
to increase sales and sign ups,basically how to run a lucrative podcast.
And it's quite the serial moment,really, because I still remember that first
day that I recorded my first fewepisodes and uploaded them. I was sat
in my apartment in London, wasprobably raining right now in London, and

I had a cup of coffee anda notebook full of ideas. And I've
done quite a few things leading upto that to get me into the right
headspace, which I'll also be teachingon the course, and i'd also use
a lot of my PR training Iused to work in PR for I think
it was the first five to tenepisodes I planned out in this very kind
of strategic way. But I rememberstarting it and thinking to myself, I'll

just adjust as I go along upgradeas I go along. The most important
thing is just to start and takeaction. I kind of knew within myself
that it was something I needed todo. Now, having said that,
it's quite surreal to think what wouldhave happened if I'd started sooner, right
because I'd wanted to for a whileanyway. The reason I mentioned all this,

that is one of the best thingsI ever did for my business,
my income, my lifestyle, allthose great things. Right, And now
four years later, I'm teaching anamazing group of business owners how to monetize
their podcast, how to start one, how to run one, how to
use it as a business tool,how to plan great content and market your
show, how to use it basicallyto work with high end clients and brands.

Now, going back to the originalpiece around the two words that changed
everything. So about an hour ago, probably an hour hour and a half
ago, I shared an image onmy personal Facebook. It was an image
that I'd had designed as part ofsome marketing pieces for a Memes academy,
and the phrase on the image says, in six months time, you'll wish

you'd started today. Start now.Those are the two words I want to
share with you today. Start now. Anything in your life that you're feeling
intuitively called to do, you're beinggiven that calling for a reason. Right.
So, if it's writing a book, starting a podcast, launching your
coaching programs, being more visible,doing talks and workshops, running classes online,

whatever it is, I want youto really hear me on this.
Stop holding yourself back, and stopwaiting and stop delaying your success. There's
all this rubbish out there about ifyou do this for seven days, you'll
get this and overnight that. Youdon't want to overnight anything. It's not
elegant in business and it's certainly notdoable in life. True success comes from

long term, big picture thinking,all right. So when I say it
start now, I'm not necessarily talkingabout diving into doing the talks. What
I'm talking about is start to dosomething about it. So let's say you
want to be doing talks, youwant to be more visible, speaking at
events, or speaking online. Sostart learning how to speak online, start
(04:30):
practicing walking around a room talking,Start becoming that version of yourself. Something
I often say to clients, andI often use this in my life as
well, as are you actually readyfor what you want? Right? So,
if you were Let's say you wantto be doing talks. If somebody
called you tomorrow and said a speakerthat act out of our retreat, can
you make it tomorrow? Are youactually ready? Because people, for example,

will say things like, oh,I just don't feel like it's manifesting
or it's not happening. You arethe magic in your own life, so
it's going to work through you asmuch as it's going to work for you,
all right. So anything that you'rewanting to take action on, you're
feeling called to share with the worldor to bring into your business, start
doing something about it now. Youdon't necessarily have to launch it but start

learning behind the scenes. Quite afew of the people who've joined to monetize
your podcasts aren't ready to launch theirpodcasts towards the end of the year,
But all of those people have said, I want to start learning and practicing
now so that when we do launchor we are ready, we've already got
tons of resources in mindset and planningin place. And that's something I've often

done in my life. That's beensuch an important part of many of the
things that have been successful for me. I started to do things pretty quickly
after getting that intuitive nudge. Whetheror not it was visible to the world,
it's a different matter. I wasdoing something about it. I was
practicing, I was learning, Iwas reading about it. You know that
before I did my first online class, I think I practiced doing them for
(06:05):
weeks, recording them and stopping andstarting. And so what I'm saying is
anything that you're feeling called to dosomething about, do something about it.
Start now, take that powerful stepforward and show yourself you're serious, because
there's something really sad about sitting thereand going I've been talking about this for
(06:26):
six months, and I'm going tosay something a little bit blunt here.
This may ruffle a few feathers ifyou're sat there now, or stood there
right, or maybe jogging I don'tknow, if you're jogging there now and
you're thinking, oh, i'll dosomething about it later, right, I'll
take action later, or I'll dosomething about it towards the end of the
year. I can promise that's probablynot the first time you've said that,
(06:48):
because if you're talking about something morethan a few times, you are holding
yourself back. If you've been talkingabout making a change or doing something for
more than a few weeks. You'rethe reason it's not happening. And I
know people don't like to hear this, right, people like to hear that
it's the stars, or it's theday of the week, or it's you
(07:08):
know, something else. Most ofit is actually you holding yourself back.
Maybe you're worried about what people willthink of you, you don't want to
spend the money, you're a bitnervous about maybe people will laugh at you.
Honestly, fuck all that, Okay, absolutely, just stop doing that
to yourself. Nobody out there isperfect, and no one is meant to

be. The magic actually happens whenyou allow yourself to just start and then
upgrade and adjust as you go along. So, for example, right like,
let's say you want to start doingvideos online. No one is expecting
your first video to be perfect.Anybody who is expecting that is not an
ideal client of yours anyway, Becausethe truth is your ideal clients, the

people who will love to work withyou and join your programs and engage with
you, they actually want you asa person. Right, and think about
this for a second. When yougo into a business meeting, or you
go into the gym, or youhave a coffee with someone. You don't
think I have to come across asperfect in this coffee. That would be
kind of creepy, Right, Ihave to be perfect in my workout.
(08:13):
I have to be perfect in thisbusiness meeting, You don't. You just
show up and you do your best, and that's where the magic happens.
And things like a podcast, doingvideos, online, writing, doing talks,
launching courses, all of those things. The magic happens with the consistency
and you upgrading as you go along. So going back to the original piece,
(08:39):
right in six months time, you'llwish you'd started today. Start now.
Think about it as like the gym. Right, If you just go
to the gym and you start workingout, you're naturally going to improve your
workouts. You're going to get resultsfrom the training. Then you can look
at getting a trainer, you canlook at research and different and things,
(09:01):
or you know, implementing different maybenutrition plans, whatever. The main thing
is to just start. Please don'tbe one of those people that thinks they
have to wait for nine hundred thingsto line up first, because most of
the time with people like that,they're actually just holding themselves back. And
what happens is. You know,for those of you who are listening,
(09:22):
by the way, who are coaches, you'll know the people I'm talking about.
If you're listening to this and you'rethinking that's me. This is not
said to be unkind, but I'mtrying to, I guess, give you
a little bit of a push,right the people who say, oh,
you know, I need to doX, y Z first, I need
to get this done and I'll focuson next year. You know, it's

not the first time you've said that, and there's something else most likely stopping
you. So what I want youto do is really take a moment with
yourself right now and say, youknow what, I love myself enough to
take action on the things that areimportant to me in my life, whether
it's starting a podcast, writing abook, doing videos online, doing talks,

reaching out to clients. Who caresif your first few ones aren't great
or aren't funny, or you lookawkward? Who cares? That's just life.
People actually prefer that to this likeweird, kind of super filtered,
ultrascripted, you know, slightly unattainableperfection. I've been in coaching programs myself.
You know, whether the person leadingthe group was almost a little bit
(10:30):
too perfect, and I didn't believethem. I thought, when you're probably
hiding loads. I just don't believeanybody is like that. Whereas the people
that I work really well with otherpeople who are totally open and authentic and
honest. You know, whenever Iask for my clients, the people who
keep re enrolling or the people who'vebeen with me for a while, I'll
always ask them, you know,I'd love to know what are some of
(10:52):
the things that you get most outof our working together. And then there's
the great practical pieces, right,like you're a great mindset coach. I
really preciate the business strategy and thepr strategy and the money mindset. But
so much of it is like yougive me permission to be myself without apology.
So you can actually start making progressor I can start making progresses how
(11:13):
they would phrase it. But whatI want to say to you is anything
that's important to you that you wantto start doing, just start now.
You don't have to jump on cameraand post it. You can do tons
of things. I teach this,by the way in depth in MMS Academy.
And also monetize your podcast so youcan reach out with you still like
to join us, but you cando tons of things like start practicing behind

the scenes so that you're comfortable andconfident, and then you do something about
it. Right there are I can'tremember the exact phrase, but it's something
like waiting kills more dreams than starting. Ever did something like this, right.
I don't know anyone who's ever saidI regret starting that. I genuinely
don't. I know lots of peopleprofessionally who will say, I've been talking
(12:03):
about this for six months. Youknow, Oh, I listened to your
episode on that, and you knowI want to raise my fees and I
want to start doing this. Andthen it's like, oh, but I
need to weigh and I'm not ready, And then six months later they're saying
the same thing again. I'm notmeaning to be unkind here, but what
i want you to do is listento what I'm saying and take it in.
Because you deserve to have a lifethat you love, to make fabulous
(12:24):
money, to be proud of yourself, and to be making great progress.
Right, So whatever's important to you, whatever's meaningful for you in your business,
in your life, I want youto take this episode as a sign.
Okay, take this episode as asign and listen to it as many
times as you need to. Bythe way, send it to people who
you know need to hear this.But start now. Take a step forward

today to show yourself you're serious.Something I've been saying for a very long
time in my coaching business as well, is you know, the foundation for
healthy self respect and self esteem ofcourse of confidence, it's actually keeping promises
to yourself. It's showing yourself howcapable you are. So even if you
don't feel ready, but you start, and you've said you'd start, you're

building that trust in yourself. Youknow, nerves or feeling a bit anxious,
who cares, that's just part ofour brain and whatever, right brain
chemistry things happening. What's so muchmore powerful than that is trusting yourself.
I said I would do this,Now I've done it. I told myself
i'd start and take action. Idid it. That's where the magic happens,
(13:33):
not waiting for it to be perfect, or waiting to feel ready,
or putting it off for another fewmonths. So I'm going to give you

about being themselves. And again thatis where the magic happens. So now
it's your assignment. Think about somethingin your life that you've been maybe waiting
to take action on. Right you'vebeen waiting to take a step forward with
and do something about it in thenext thirty minutes, get into quick action,
