🚨 CBS and Paramount Paid Trump $16 Million? Here’s the Real Reason Legacy media just wrote a $16 million check to Donald Trump—and the establishment is pretending it’s “just a settlement.” But we know better. In today’s Morning Report, Willie Lawson takes you behind the curtain of the CBS–Paramount payout and exposes the true motive: protecting a multibillion-dollar Skydance merger from collapsing under regulatory pressure. This isn’t just about a defamation claim. This is about power, politics, and billion-dollar desperation. As CBS reels from internal revolt and Elizabeth Warren screams “bribery,” we break down how Trump used legal and regulatory leverage to force the media giants to fold. Here’s what we cover in this explosive episode:
  • What really happened with the CBS/60 Minutes lawsuit
  • Why Paramount suddenly paid $15M to Trump’s presidential library
  • The inside story of the Skydance–Paramount merger and Trump’s FCC
  • Why Elizabeth Warren is demanding a bribery investigation
  • How legacy media is funding the very library they tried to cancel
  • What this means for the future of corporate journalism
🎯 This is the kind of independent truth that legacy networks used to deliver—before they started writing settlement checks to the people they tried to silence. 📢 Share this episode if you’re tired of legacy media’s hypocrisy. 👇 Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe! 📺 Available on:

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Good morning, Good morning. My name is Willy Lawson, and
this is the Morning Report. We don't play by media
legacy rules. We expose them. And today's episode is point
to hit like freight train. You may have heard CBS
and its parent company, Paramount just cut the Trumpster sixteen
million dollars a joke, really, really, fifteen million that's headed

(00:27):
to his presidential library, and the left and left is
going A million dollars is going to his legal funds,
and the left is losing their mind. Elizabeth Warren is
already screaming bribery, bribery, But what really happened? And why? Now?

(00:51):
Hang on, because we're going to go down this rabbit
hole and it leads to it too, straight to a
Hollywood murder, a federal agency, and a very very nervous
news network. All right, let's start with the facts. Paramount Global,

(01:28):
the parent company of CBS, has agreed to pay Donald
Trump sixteen million dollars to subtle a defamation lawsuit stemming
from a sixteen minute interview with then Vice President Kamala
Harris back in twenty twenty four. Trump sued, claiming the
segment misrepresented his statements an intentionally misled viewers. So here's

(01:52):
how again, this is how the money breaks down. Fifteen
million is going to go to his to fund his president,
to a library. A million covers the legal fees. Ben
don't apologize, Banor and Milton emit guilt. It's just coal,
hard cash. They're just trying to make it go away.

(02:12):
But that's not all. The settlement also includes a requirement
that CBS will release full transcripts of future sixty million
interviews with presidential candidates after they air. Translation CBS surrendered
editorial ground. I may wrote a massive check to the

(02:34):
man they spent the better part of a decade trying
to destroy. So why not? And why would Paramount a
legacy giant cave? THEYS relies in one word, sky Dance
David Ellison's sky Dance Media. Yes, the media company behind

(02:58):
Top Gun, Maverick On a whole bunch of other blockbusters
is trying to merge, but Paramount and a deal worth
over eight billion dollars. This merger would reshape the entire
landscape of Hollywood and legacy media, but as a catch,
it needs regulatory approval, specifically from the new Federal Communication Commission,

(03:24):
the FCC. And now here's where it gets crazy. Trump's FCC,
yes he is. FCC has made it clear that it's
not going to rubber stamp this merger, while CBS is
under fire for what Commission Brendan Carr calls news distortion.
Car publicly slammed CBS's twenty twenty four covered of Trump,

(03:47):
and his warning couldn't have been clearer. Fix this mess
for your merger dies in the cradle. Boom. That's it.
That's the pressure point Paramountain. CBS didn't just settle a lawsuit.

(04:09):
They folded to a president who now holds all the cards.
We've told you that Trump is about leverage. He is
about leverage, and that sixteen million wasn't just hush money,
it was to back their merger. Now, Elizabeth Warren is

(04:32):
losing her mind. Layahwaffa is going bananas, calling it Royberry
and Plain sits well, not really, not really. So let's
talk about Warren for a second. She's calling for a
full congressional investigation, claiming the Trump settlement represents corporate bribery

(04:54):
and exchange for regulatory favors. Well, let me quote her
directly to Donald Trump. At the same time, the company
needs his administration's approval for a lucrative merger could be
bribery in plain sight. We'll say the way she said it,

(05:14):
she wants legislation to ban donation as the presidential libraries
by the presidents in office. What nice trial enator. But
there's a problem with that argument. Paramount is an admitting guilt.
They're not claiming it was a political move. In fact,
they say that it was just a standard legal settlement

(05:36):
to make the lawsuit go away. And they just want
the lawsuit to go away. We see that. We see
that all the time. We see companies pay just just
to get out of it, right, just so they're so
so they're not pouring more money down the hole. Right.
So why are CBS executives resigning and there are some

(05:59):
that are resigning. Why did internal emails show panic and
outrage from top journalists? Why did better producers walk out
on protests? Because they know what this really is. It's
a full blown retreat. These people have for the past
decade have been on the on the front line trying

(06:22):
to secure Trump, get Trump, get Trump, and now they're like, no,
he wins, he wins. They're not just afraid of Trump's lawyers.
They're afraid of what happens if they deal with sky
Danced guys in the mine, and they decided that surrender

(06:42):
is cheaper than resistance. Here's where it gets brilliant. Trump
is using the same tools that the left is used
against him for years, lawfare, lawsuits, and regulatory power, except
now he's using them like a prom and the scoreboard.

(07:03):
Right now, ABC Disney fifteen million, CBS, Paramount fifteen million,
Meta twenty five million, all going towards Trump's President's library
fifty five million dollars. And Legacy Media, who screened Democracy
dies in the darkness for four years, is now funding

(07:30):
the library of the man they try to destroy. You
know what, Trump didn't even need to win in court.
You just need to threaten to win. That's the power
of leverage. You control both the legal high ground and
the regulatory backstop. The message is very, very simple. If

(07:53):
you lie about Trump, you'd better have your check book ready.
Is his leaders. We've got a Legacy media empire paying
harsh money to settle with a guy they tried to cancel.
We've got a sky Dance merger hanging by a thread.
We've got Elizabeth Warren shouting from the rooftops while our

(08:16):
party collapses under the weight of its own contradictions. And
we've got Trump twice, indicted, twice, impeached, building his legacy
on the backs of the very networks they try to
erase it. That, my friends, is poetic justice. And that's

(08:40):
what happens when the narrative gets flipped. And here the
Morning Report. We're not just reporting it, we're exposing it.
My name is Lilly Lawson, shigning off today, Stay bowl,
stay sharp and fighting back. H
