Speaker 1 (00:12):
Time and time and time and tap and time again.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
It's not the motivation, you motivator, you Hi, how you doing?

Speaker 1 (00:16):
How have been?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
It is me and is I? You're Beard and Marathon
are in this. By god, my gosh, this motivation? You Hi?
How you doing? I have been? I almost did not
make it through the opening.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
I did not take the big breath required to finish
the opening.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
I kind of ran out of gas, if you noticed.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
This week, though, I have a great little audio clip,
a great little audio clip from none other, none other
than NFL, great NFL legend.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
It doesn't matter how you feel about him.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I'm a Buffalo Bills fan since I was six years old,
So I have a certain amount of anger and disdain
and hatred for the man.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
But I also have a lot of respect because he
did the hard work for so freaking long and he
has the achievements to show for it. He did the
hard work over such a long time span, and he
has the accolades to back it up. So I have
a certain amount of respect for mister Brady. Mister Brady, though,

(01:16):
gives us this great little clip, this great little audio segment,
I think you can glean a lot from I think
you can take a lot away.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
From I'm gonna stop blah blah blah. We're going to
talk on the other side. Here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
My dad always tells me, Tommy, all you can do
is the best you can do with the opportunities that
are presented in front of you. And think what it
means is just do your best, do the very best
you could do, and look, whatever the outcome is, fucked
outcome is. It's not like you can control the outcome.
You can in life. You just can control your attitude,
you can control your effort, you can control what you

(01:51):
put into it, and sometimes you have to be okay
with that.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
The process of.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Self improvement, the process of trying to win a Super Bowl,
the process of trying to be a parent is doing
the best you could do. And you know when sometimes
I can play the best game in the world and
sometimes you get unlucky bounce that doesn't go away. I
could be totally prepared for the for a game and
go out there and just not play well. Best the
reality and you gotta deal with it.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Guys, what you think?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
What do you think that was?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Tom Brady?

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Tom Brady, I have preached this very same point to
my daughters, to my son, to my players. For years
and years, all you can do is the best you
can do. So at the end of the night, at
the end of the day, you're not sitting there going
I could have done more. I could have done more.

(02:41):
No matter what the outcome is, your best might be
the best you could ever put into it. And sometimes
the ball bounces this way, the ball bounces that way,
a call goes this way, a call goes that way.
That other team brings their best, and their best is
better than your best. But at least at the end
of the night, you knew you gave your best because

(03:01):
putting your head down on your pillow at the end
of the night and looking back and reflecting on your
day and realizing I didn't give my best. I gave
ninety five.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I gave ninety I gave ninety three. I didn't put
everything I had into it. I've had a lot of auditions,
a lot of auditions.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I know I did my best. I know I did
my best. And my wife will asked me, how'd your
audition go. I'm like, I tried my hardest. She's like,
do you think you got it? I don't know. I
don't know if I got the part. I don't know
if I'll get cast, but at least I know I
gave everything. I've had some auditions where I'm like, I
was a little hesitant, I was a little unsure, I

(03:38):
was a little insecure. I just didn't give everything I
had into it. I only gave ninety And then I
sit there at the end of the night, putting my
head down on my pillow, closing my eyes and going.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
I held back. I held back. And if I.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Don't get cast, could it have been my fault because
I didn't give everything. I didn't show up and show out.
It's a terrible feeling, isn't it. It's a terrible, terrible feeling.
So my advice to you and whatever field you're in,
whatever stage of life you're in. Are you a student,
are you an athlete, are you a professional? Wherever you're at,
if you're trying to make your dream come true, if

(04:13):
you're trying to achieve that thing when opportunity comes knocking,
you give one hundred percent of everything you got. Because
putting your head down on your pillow at the end
of the night, knowing you didn't give everything, could determine
whether that dream comes true. When opportunity comes knocking, you
need to give one hundred percent of everything you got.
Just a little life advice. If not from me the

(04:34):
Beard of Marathon, or from Tom Brady, NFL great NFL legend,
other than that, guys, thank you so much joining me
again this week. I'm the Beard of Marathon. At this
motivation you I hope, I hope, I hope when opportunity
comes knock knock knocking at your door, you give one
hundred percent of everything you got.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
In this way, your dreams come true.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
To aunt y'ell real soon

Speaker 2 (05:00):
