Episode 293 - Motivation U - “ if you want to lead the Orchestra…”

If you want to lead. Whether it’s leading a team or yourself on a new endeavor. You need to be able to do this.

Hey, guys, time and time and Tom and Tom and
Tom Tom again, it's not for motivation you. Motivation you,
and this is a motivational minute here on motivation you.
A motivational minute here on motivation you. Because I heard
this quote and I wanted to share. I heard this
quote and I want to get out there. I heard
this quote and I thought of you. I thought of you.
Here we go. If you want to lead the orchestra,

(00:28):
you must turn your back on the crowd. I'll say
it again. If you want to lead the orchestra, you
must turn your back on the crowd. Guys, If you
want to lead people, if you want to lead a team,
if you want to lead a group, or simply lead
yourself onto new endeavors, onto new challenges, onto achieving that dream,

(00:52):
you need to turn your back on the crowd. You
need to turn You need to tune out all of
the those naysayers, all those people in the background. All
those people are gonna criticize you and make fun of
you and belittle you. You have to tune all those
people out and be focused on the goal at hand.
You have to be focused on what the thing is.

(01:13):
You have to be focused on the path. You can't
be distracted by this person and that person and what
the people in the background are saying. You have to
be focused on the goal. That's what leaders do, that's
what successful people do. Constructive criticism, Oh, that's a good thing.

(01:33):
That's a good thing. But being worried about what this
person and that persons saying about you, saying that you
can't do it, it's saying that you can't achieve it,
to saying that that goal isn't worth it. You're not
gonna be able to attain it. Those people, Yeah, tune
those people out. You need to be focused on the goal.
If you're a team leader, if you're a manager, if

you're a captain, whatever it is, you need to be
folocused on the goal to achieve the thing. If you
start being distracted by everybody in the background, you will
